I have many issues with this place. Firstly, they have a big giant menu and price list but give you a different price when it’s time to pay. You make your decision based off $21 you see on their bill board of a price list but end up paying $28.Make sure to ask the price before committing. Secondly the service was abysmal. But I have come to understand that about many African businesses so this isn’t particularly a concern for me THE FOOD- I had “Ofada” I will say it was okay in taste nothing memorable but my Husbands Egusi was a complete disaster. It had no taste and both food were cold. We dined in so the least you could do was microwave the food to be hot. I understand it was made several hours prior to our arrival but how do you just serve it like that. Overall would not recommend and would not be visiting again
Me and my friend came to day craving for Nigerian food, i ordered egusi soup with swallow ( bando) and extra fish and my friend got jollof rice with chicken and plantain on the side. The food was so good and the spice level was great. If you want spicy you have to ask them. The two ladies who were working there are all lovely and friendly. It might be bit pricey but it’s worth it. I love it and we will for sure come back. The photos is midway eating because we were excited and forget to take pics before touching the food but nevertheless amazing.

Temmy’s kitchen in Hamilton is highly NOT recommended. I got Egusi soup from them and it was ridiculously salty. I called back to give the owner the feedback and she said she had stepped out and when she got back to the restaurant she would check and call me back. I never got that call back not to even talk of an apology. I sent a message some days after and she did not respond. I highly do not recommend.
Sometimes when i visit someplace and I know I have to give a poor review, I feel badly. But I spent my money here and then realized that my money would have been better spent at Island Queens on Kenilworth. A friend suggested African food for dinner and I started to crave jollof rice. Well, when I looked at the menu the price was $15.95, with chicken. When I went to pay she charged me $20. I quickly looked at the menu and started to calculate the tax. It was then that she pointed out the small sign that prices were subject to change. I should have declined the food then and there but still thought I should give it a chance. Even though I noticed she didn't ring the sale into the cash register. Well, of the two pieces of chicken, one was all bone. The chicken was dry like guinea fowl. (Guinea fowl - an old chicken that needs a lot of cooking to make it edible) The rice was also dry.
I live in Oakville and just discovered this Nigerian restaurant today. To my surprise, the food was great and the prices were much cheaper than most African restaurants in Toronto. This place also allows dine in and they gave us a large quantity of food for just 15-20 dollars. I am not African but I always enjoyed Nigerian food since I was in college. This is definitely a great place to try out even if you are not African.
Where do I start? the incredible food, the incredible service, the avalanche of flavor? This is my now go to place for comfort food, I feel incredible after eating here. You are really missing out if you don't try this restaurant. The plantains were awesome and the beef was tender. I have never had Turkey this good and the spices in the rice was perfect. 5 stars is not enough, they should have an option for 10. (Pro Tip get the Fanta in the glass bottle)
Hands down the BEST AUTHENTIC NIGERIAN FOOD in town 🙌. The food was finger licking good that you want some more. The customer service was excellent! The owner and the people there were so friendly and welcoming! *We are from Alberta, just landed in YHM and were craving some Nigerian food. Don't forget to stop by if you are here Hamilton! Went to Temmys Kitchen for a celebration lunch with some of my friends. We each got the jollof rice with chicken and gizdodo, both were very tasty! The portion size were massive and the food had a nice kick to it. Very enjoyable, I will be coming back!
First time trying fufu and it wont be our last!! Had the egusi soup with it and really enjoyed it. The fish wasnt my thing but nice to try. We also had the chicken and jollof rice which was very yummy. The woman who served me was so welcoming and helpful. Cant wait to come back and have fufu with ogbano soup!

Had such a nice experience! I have an allergy to gluten (celiac) and they were very helpful with identifying what was in certain foods so I knew what I could eat. Very nice staff! I had the jolloff rice with half vegetable rice and turkey, and it was so tasty. A nice gem to find on my walk home
Read previous reviews and it convinced me to try. I always liked Fufu. I never tried Nigerian food before and the server wasnt hesitant to give me samples! I order the Egusi with the chicken and it tasted amazing. I would definitely go again and I would 100% recommend this restaurant.

If you are looking for delicious African cuisine, here is definitely one of the places to tryout. Their Amala was cool with Ewedu, my kids had jollof rice (I didnt taste the rice but they said it taste great and delicious too. Im definitely going to go there again.

This review is coming late. The food is not fresh. I should have known this when I walked in the store. The fridge at the entrance is stocked with a lot of food (that has been there for days) that is sold to customers. Very disappointed.
Love it here I drive all the way from Niagara for their egusi and pounded yam. It s hard to find good quality and priced food in my area. The hospitality is unmatched at west African food places including this one. Love love love! On my way again now
Everything Ive tried is absolutely delicious. Depending on heat tolerance you may want to consider some items by questioning spice level. Must try the meat pies as the pastry is lovely. If I haven t tasted it I will be trying it. I suggest everything
Ordered party trays for some menu items and I am very happy with what I got. Got a medium tray of jollof rice and it was packed to the brim! Definitely worth the price and was delicious too. Also ordered fried chicken, plantain, meat pies and puff puff. I have never seen puff puff as big as they made it! Everyone loved our food and kept asking where we got it from. Will definitely keep coming back! The two ladies we met who is running the place are also very nice and took great care of our order. Highly recommend!

Food here is so delicious and appetizing and service is great. Got food for my sis twice this week and we are both hooked The flavours and spices in the food just come together so well and it tastes just like home made food. I will be coming back soon for that turkey and gizzdodo. I cant wait to try all the menu items. Definitely worth the visit.

The smiles, the heartfelt greetings as soon as you walk in, the laughs and stories as you wait to be served, the pure joy that resonates from every member of staff. Temmys kitchen ALWAYS goes the extra mile and I am so glad to have such rich representation of Nigerian Cuisine in Hamilton! Once, I called to order some moimoi late at night, after 8pm... it was all sold out, naturally lol! But with such enthusiasm and joy she said, not to worry I will make you a fresh batch right now, come by in an hour! I was blown away! I went by, picked up my gazillion moimoi lol.. the staff helped me to my car, brazing the snow and slippery ice. I felt like royalty! So happy to have my food, so blessed to be supporting a business that pours heart and soul into their art and service! :) Keep going, Temmys Kitchen! We are fully behind you! Im looking forward to a Mountain location in the near future but until then, Im happy to make the drive as often as I need to :)

Sweet workers but the food is not good. For $15, we got the jollof rice and chicken. The rice was ok but the chicken was extremely dry. It didnt taste fresh, like it has been sitting there for days. The chicken also left a very gamey taste in my mouth. For that price, I could go get higher quality food elsewhere. Again, nothing against the staff, they were really nice.
Tonight I had a great spicy snack! A little combo plate that was absolutely delicious!! Great food ! Great Service! It was so good I was almost speechless! I feel really bad that I was so euphoric I forgot to tip this wonderful lady! I do promise to be back!! Make sure you try some Fanta.. they have some from Nigeria and Ghana !
You MUST go to Temmys kitchen. The Gizzard and dodo dish will melt in your mouth. The jollof rice was sooo good and the puff puffs melted in my mouth. Im going to have to go back for Suya and the Goat and Pepe curry. Looking forward to being back.

Used to be a fan until i raved about this place and bore the brunt for it. My first several orders, her jollof came with 3 pieces of turkey as she said (but couldnt mix & match with chicken) ok! Last few times she began skimping on the protein saying the count depends on size?! uhm turkeys have very big bones. Also, I had been paying way $ extra for using my card & was never told but she advised 2 gentlemen of the price difference of paying cash at checkout.I was vexed...but karma! This says alot about the integrity of this business. Jollof rice, moimoi, meatpie ewa agoyin taste okay. Not a fan of plantains & fried mackerel, egusi is yum.

A delicious experience at Temmys Kitchen. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious and portion is much. We bought Iyan, egunsi, fried fish, assorted meat, rice and Okada rice with some puff puff. All tasted so good. The environment is also very neat and no flies. I will come back whenever I return to Hamilton area.

This place serves up some of the best tasting nigerian food I have ever purchased. The jollof rice is on point. Egusi soup is rish in flavour. Meat portion are very sizeable and tasty. The white rice and ofada stew is perfection in a bowl. You can tell the lady takes pride in delivering a great meal to customers. Customer service is amazing too. Please eat here if you are in hamilton. Cant recommend enough. In fact im about to go there again! I aksed why she is not on ubereats or other apps and its apparently because they take a 30% cut from every purchase. That is a sizeable chunk of money for a small business.

As TikTok blew up the west African Dish fufu I HAD to try it and I m glad that this was the place I choose to do so. I first had food here about two weeks ago when my brother discovered it. I have to say absolute certainty that the food is delicious. It is authentic and reminds me of home. I ve had the chance to try the Jollof rice, stewed chicken , moi moi, pastries and ofada sauce. Everything was amazing. It keeps you wanting more. It was so good that I immediately went back the next day to get more food. I could not recommend this place enough. I ve also told my friends about this place. I can t wait for the next time I get to eat the food.

Literally the best Nigerian restaurant in Hamilton! Best jollof too. Plantain is so sweet and yet still firm. Fried to perfection. The jollof has a perfect amount of spice! Pricing is amazing I paid $15 for all of this! They offer the chicken or turkey for the same price! Even my Ghanaian friend loved the jollof. The customer service is amazing! Everyone is respectful and professional! I went later and wasn t too busy but they do tend to pick up during the day. I recommend this place to everyone because it s that good! Don t hesitate to drop by the owners are very kind and there s something for everyone! Also the MEAT PIES ARE so good! Not too doughy and the meat is soft and flavourful on the inside.

I came in to get their swallow with Egusi and on my gosh, that was the first time in a very very very long time that I cleared every bit of food that was on my plate. Every bite just made me want to eat more and more. The customer care was too notch, the environment was super tidy. They charged us 45$ for a completely flat coke, 2 curries that didn t have any meat in it, only offal / like bits of tripe and fat and oil. It was cold. Seems like a front. How could both of these meals be 20$ and a flat expired coke, 5$? Feels like we got scammed :(
Its the QUALITY of food and top notch CUSTOMER SERVICE for me!!! I placed a big order and even though she didnt offer some of the foods on the day that I ordered, Temi went above and beyond to prepare them for me. The customer service was 10/10 (If I could give more I would trust me :)). So exciting to have this experience from an African restaurant. The food tastes like home cooked food, just delicious and makes you miss home. Thank you Temi and David for everything. Ill be back again and guys Temmys kitchen is the BEST if youre looking for that authentic flavourful food!!! I actually had low expectations because Im super picky but Im thoroughly impressed and will definitely recommend.
Good selection of food. Really enjoyed the Jolloffe rice and the meat pies, also the chicken stew was tasty. I would recommend a visit to try out different African dishes. There was quite a few to choose from.
Excellent customer service and very tasty food. My husband and I ordered several plates of Jollofrice with some meat pies & sausages. They were all on point and tasted so delicious!!! I highly recommend Temmy s Kitchen.

Customer service was pleasant and memorable. The aroma of the Jollof reminds me of the typical Owambe . I d be totally down to bring a party here.

A regular spot for my vegetarian friend, he is always getting fish and raves up and down about the quality and quantity he gets with his food. I went with him one day and there is a quality and care that goes without saying in this spot. This West African eatery will quench that craving and create a new one if you are just wetting your whistle!

Oh the food is awesome. I ordered okra soup, puff puff, jollof rice, fried rice, if heaven had a taste that is what the food tasted like. My children enjoyed it. Tasted like home cooked meal warm and very inviting. I will be back soon. She is so nice that a plus for me.

I will first by say all the good reviews on here are probably by her family members and friends because I went to this place to buy food and the services was very unpleasant. I bought food worth $20 and it has no single meat in the food. I went back to explain to her and she said I should pay another $5 for meat. She said she adds to the price to charge for the takeout containers she put the food in. That type of practice seems crazy to me. I have been to many other places where the food is better quantity and quality for less money. this is a terrible place to buy food. In the end she called the cops and accused me of harassing her because I came back to ask for meat. She then took the food, refused to return it without me paying $5 for meat she added AND refused to give me a refund. This is not a good person serving she didn t even wear her mask. very poor sanitation. I will recommend health and safety officers to visit this place for assessment but do NOT RECOMMEND for people to come and eat.
I always go here and the food is so delicious. I personally recommend the efo soup & pounded yam, meat pie is so yummy, and the fried rice! The service is amazing, everyone is so friendly. If you want authentic Nigerian food, then this is the place.
Honestly the best Nigerian restaurant. Her vegetable soup is my favourite thing so if youre looking for something worth your money this place is definitely it.
