You need to buy water even if it is in a takeaway cup. It is sad because for years and years, water in a takeaway cup was free.

Went to Drivethrough tonight. Store took my order everything was good. Waited about 15 minutes which was alright they were busy. Only to. Get the the window and be told our debit is down. Girl went to speak to someone and came back to inform me that they could not help. It would have been 100% fine if I was informed this at the speaker but to have your customers wait, burn their gas all for nothing is quite sad to say the least. Lets add a second visit: Was not for me cause I will not go back. OMG Mcdonalds Fans Page Hanmer....... Went tonight (Not for myself because after last time I Refuse) Place order charged us for the wrong thing got it all corrected at the window. Card wouldnt go through twice. Thats ok, girl (Who was yelling last time is serving us) tells us we can just move ahead and pay there. We get asked numerous times about the order we keep saying its wrong. They ask us to move to third window. We are asked about 4 times about our order everytime we tell them the same. The fifth time somehow our order has disappeared and we are asked to go around..... again have to wait. cycle through first window. it gets paid for. Second window, we are told to move ahead. Third window, we finally get our order. We were waiting to see if anything needed to be corrected or if the staff noticed anything missing. Nope we are ushered on our way without a drink.............. Like wow. If I all ready wasnt sure that would be my last stop.

Paid 20$ for cold food stale fries and when I asked for new ones the girl put them back in the fry bin just for another poor customer like that s absolutely disgusting will never order here again

Probably the worst establishment in the whole city of Sudbury. The staff continuously mess up the orders.. theres always an extremely long wait when theres nobody even in line. And dont bother going through drive-thru because you will be sitting there for a while and they will take the order of the person that came up behind you in the other lane. The East Indian gentleman running the Telecom for drive-thru rushes you through your order and is extremely ignorant. I dont know how this establishment stays afloat. Horrible customer service

Drove 26 hours from Surrey BC to get ice cream at the Hanmer McDonald s and it exceeded my expectations. Well worth the trip. This fine establishment is perfect for any tourists. Wonderful staff and ice cream, 5/5. -Logan.

Not the friendliest of staff unfortunately. Except for the one younger white girl, she always has a smile on and is very very polite. Expect to be missing something in your order at least 8 out of 10 times in drive thru. If you decide to eat inside be prepared to see garbage everywhere, and usually 4 to 6 brown guys standing in the back doing nothing on their phones. If sturgeon falls didnt take the title as worst mc Donalds in ontario this one would have it for sure

All is good except for when you dont get something in your order. For example, this is my third time ordering a sprite and getting not a sprite. First time I just got water and the past two just plain club soda

This location has always been the worst managed. 7am breakfast rush and only three people on, two of which are standing around waiting for paint to dry. As I m waiting for my breakfast, two employees leave and I see one just pop out of the back with her hands in her pockets as if she s taking a stroll. Suddenly it occurred to her she had a job and moves to the prep line but seems to be confused as to what to do. I was the only in-house order and it took 10 minutes for 3 simple mcmuffins. As we leave, two employees hop off the bus and saunter their way to their shift inside. I get it, when I worked the night shift, I wanted to get to sleep. but during morning rush, at least wait for your cross shift to show up! Wouldn t hurt if everyone put a little gusto in their step too.

I cant believe people still eat here. I couldnt even tell what kind of pop I had it was like dirty water. Dont get any napkins or condements with your food and prices gone up what a joke it will be the last time I ever eat at a McDonalds again.

Went through drive through and it was an absolutly awful experience. Rushed through the speaker before our order was even done and then waited for 5 min staring at the guy in the window on his phone to let me pay. If I could give 0 stars I would absolutly terrible

Toppings weren t even placed on the burger they were all on the side. Tea was luke warm. And they screwed up my wrap so badly I don t even consider it food anymore Vegetarian options: Far and few options for veggies

As soon as I walked into this building the stench was unfathomable I couldn t even breath I had to put my shirt over my mouth as I was attempting to walk to the counter to order as I was doing so my shoes where sticking on the ground which is disgusting as I ordered I waited for my food and it took over 30 minutes until they gave me my food and I somehow convinced myself to eat inside and I was trying to find a table but all of them where dirty and sticky (I WOULD NEVER EAT HERE?

Not going back ever again! Had to say my order five times to the guy. How can you have people working here that do not understand English and can barely speak it. Food is always terrible just thrown together half the toppings aren t even on it. Good luck to the owner of this place. Stop worrying about profit so much and maybe you should start to care more about the product that you re serving and the people that work in your establishment!

Cashier had a long convo infront of me with a customerall i wanted was a coffee

Went through drive thru to order ice cream and once I got to the order window they told me to pull ahead and wait for my order, even though there was no one else there. While waiting for my ice cream order, they served 6 other vehicles and they got part of my order wrong. This is starting to happen very often when I go and I go at least 3-5 times a week. It s just very frustrating and unacceptable service.

This is consistently the absolute worst experience ordering food, coffee, or a simple ice cream. Very long waits, incorrect orders, over charges on receipt, ice cream melted before it even makes it to the car, coffee handed to me with a dirty hand, and staff literally asking Do you want your change or do you tip?. They have been reported for turning down their freezers to save money AND have been reported for making people sick. Clearly a connection. This place is gross, even for McDonalds.

We get good service with fresh food .

I have been going to McDonald s for a long time and I m truly saddened that most times there are more international people working than there are white people. Also, the fact that they can hardly speak English and always screw up my simple order for my son s burger. They never speak in English when communicating to each other and I find that very disrespectful, I COULD not imagine how people who aren t Indians feel trying to work at an establishment to survive. I am French but when there are English speaking people around me, I m aware of it and don t speak French in front of them. Having to explain my order more than once is very frustrating and when you try to speak with them, they don t understand or they become very rude. I m all for immigrants to come to Canada but to be ignorant and not speak our language is appalling.

The drinks tasted like carbonated water and the fries werent salted

Cant get a simple order of 2 coffee correct with only 1 car in the drive thru. The staff are mostly east indian and language barrier is a constant struggle. I call in and tell them the order is wrong AGAIN. And yet the blame is on us the customer? Rude defiant talk over you and stare down the noses at us here in the valley? Thats nerve. Youre pushing yourself out. And clean them damn bathrooms. Its first thing in the morning. Im now at TIM HORTONS. Done with your ignorance McDonalds

Unfortunately, service is very slow. For a fast food place , they should be alot quicker and have better knowledge on how to keep things running smoothly when busy.

This location is not staffed adequately. It is usual practice to have line ups, that exceed the norm, not even speaking of peak times. Its very off putting, but its the only one close, so they have no motivation to do better.

The washrooms are always dirty there underneath the toilet seats like if they dont have time to clean the washrooms they dont got a chance to clean the back. Probably then by the pop machine in between the wall is mold takes forever to get a order they still give you the wrong order

I have just tried to walk into this restaurant at 5:40 pm on a Monday and the doors are locked . There were no signs on either door .

Most of the time food is clod and rushed service. Only visit during busy hours for good food.

Good and fast food. Eggs are always moist and always get good service without hassle. Staff are always willing to help out and make ur order right if it wasn t made correct.

I went here yesterday and was utterly shocked, and disgusted on how you manage your employees there, they dont put on any gloves to handle the food and they scratch their neck and eyes with those hands as well. I seen this guy wipe off the counter with his bare hands and it was probably the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. My brother is an extreme germaphobe and if I were to ever tell him what I saw hed need counciling for months. Luckily I didnt tell him what goes on there because that would mean he would never eat again. Not even my dads words gotten through to you and he was a police officer for almost 3 decades and I hope this does as I am gladly leaving a 1 star review.

I gave this location a second opportunity. The last time, I ordered a small burger an out of town trip. One pickle and squirt of ketchup. I was down the road...didnt bring it back. This time, I ordered the Crispy Chicken. The chicken was way over done. Time to change the cooking oil. Another road trip. $15.00. Only ate half. Im blaming management ...improper training?! Last time coming here.

I just want to make it clear I m usually not a person that would write a bad review or even complain. Around 2 o clock this evening I went to McDonald s in Hanmer . I had coupons that I received in the mail that you can use for a certain amount of your meal. I decided to take the 2. 10 piece chicken nugget meal with the 2 fries and the 2 fountain drinks and substitute one for a smoothie. The lady had no idea what I was talking about at the speaker in the drive-through. I explained it to her 3 times in detail, and I barely was able to hear her out of the speaker. I went to the window, she had no idea what I was talking about. She kept scanning the coupon and kept on telling me it didn t work meanwhile, I took the paper coupon out of the booklet so I went on my McDonald s app and showed the coupon there and she said no I can t scan that .. Then tells me the coupon worked some how it changed I don t know if that young lady was in training but if she was someone should be beside her that knows what they re doing, instead of laughing and talking to people in the store. I get to the window to receive my food. I checked the bag I didn t have any fries. I told the Manager that I have no fries and he made me pay for two fries and made me wait 10 to 15 minutes for them plus the smoothie was half full. A nice young lady came to give me them and I asked her question why did I have to pay for the fries when the girl took the coupon and scanned it when clearly there was a picture of two fries on the coupon. The Manager came over with attitude and told me well do you want a refund then before i was able to say anything he started shutting the window and I had to yell yes please he told me OK you have to go around and wait in line I said no I ll come inside, so I don t have to wait in that line. I went inside the manager couldn t even look at me and couldn t even come give me the refund he made one of his employees to do it .Wow what a great manager you guys have.

We went to order breakfast at 5am. They couldnt make our order saying breakfast isnt ready. Timmies drive threw, packed. Serving breakfast. McDonalds is loosing money and not on a broken Mcflurry machine level.

Takes forever and food has no taste

Your chicken nuggets have given MULTIPLE people I know major food poisoning in the last week. I will be reporting this to the health department here in sudbury. No point in reporting it to mcdonalds because you people wont do anything. You were made aware that these nuggets are making people sick last week and your still selling them. Might even contact the bbb.

There s a sign in the window that if you scan the QR code, you will get free food if you give a 5 star rating. All 5 star ratings before mine should be deleted and the sign taken down. This does not give honest reviews.

They cook their food 20 minutes beforehand and give you no condiments on anything they give you. Just plain, dry burgers, doesnt matter what you order. This location should be shut down as well, simply due to how unclean it is, let alone the service issues I just mentioned.

Order taker at drivethrough had difficulty entering my order then I proceeded to first window where they had difficulty entering the order once again (2 grand macs with bacon and 1 large fries with no modifications). Got home and the burgers were under-cooked and no bacon on the burgers.

The store manager Divesh has banned kids under the age of 18 from eating inside the restaurant. on top of this, it takes 30 to 35 minutes to get a big Mac and fries. They will also shut down the drive-through in the middle of the night because staff need breaks. They will let you sit at the drive-through for 15 minutes and wait while the staff has a break.

I want to know why they dont used one lane not the other lane its was a big line up

Also a few times ordering brekkie at 0945-1000, been told have no eggs, because not making anymore due to time to brekkie being over it would be a waste of food? I went through drive through and ordered 6 piece chicken McNuggets and large fry. but when I picked it up they only gave me 4 nuggets and half a large fry. Only drive through was open so I had to wait another 20 min for them to fix order.I drove away and they didn t give me sauce. Why even stop at this if you re going to get cheap and terrible service.

App glitches says they don t have certain things when they do. Staff are disorganized and don t give orders in a timely manner. This place is a disaster.

Drive thru is painfully slow. I was the only car in there and it took 2 - 3 min before someone talked to me. Sadly this has become the norm over the past 6 months or so.

So this was a mixed situation when we ordered the person that took our order was the best friendliest person you could ask for, the problem comes in after. We roll up to the window and we get attitude from someone different, they tell us to roll up to the next window to wait for our order. They then tell us to go through the drive through again so that we can get our order. We questioned it and they gave more attitude and said we need to do it or we arent getting our food. Not impressed

Dirty. Always SO dirty. Never a clean table. I called in once to complain, and they basically said its busy, we cant clean. No, you choose to prioritize away from cleanliness. It is ALWAYS dirty, even when not busy. Hire a dedicated cleaner and drop the excuses.

No hash brown in the order and one of the 4 sandwiches was so stale it was inedible, couldnt even bite through the English muffin. The wait was way too long as well.

OK, DT service, nothing special. One order of fries was nice and hot but the other was just warm. My partner HATES cold or warm fries, they need to be piping hot. Prices are getting ridiculous.

Went through drive through, the person taking our order rushed us and got the order wrong. We kindly ask to repeat the order. Once we got to the pay window she still had the order wrong. We kindly asked again to repeat our order and it was wrong. After paying at the pick up window both cofees were still wrong. Then the drive through line was long and could not go inside (closed during covid?). Most inept McDonalds I have ever been to . I will never be going here again. Absolutely disgusted after having 3 separate convos with your staff and not getting a basic coffee right with 0 care.

Ordered a McGriddle. Even gave them a tip at the paying window and when I got home there was nothing but bacon on my sandwich. No egg. No cheese. Just bacon. Very disappointed. Also was very burnt.

This is the most poorly run establishment in the city.. a bunch of kids that dont know what theyre doing. They had no gravy for 3 months and now that they have their gravy they ran out of their cheese curd. When youre in drive-thru they take the other lanes orders and leave you hanging. The food is always cold and never fresh and the employees have a lot of attitude I suggest you go to a different establishment if you want good food and good services

Lets just put it this way...3 strikes your out...went through drive through tonight ordered a happy meal and a mc chicken meal...screwed up order...like how does that happen with only two meals...mcchicken meal missing fries. Drive thru wait time is ridiculously long, 10 minutes on a slow day. Many employees have argued with me over things I order, when I never have any trouble at any other McDonalds. Plus, they always forget my sauces and sides like sweet and sour or side cream cheese.

If youre keen to wait the same amount of time it would take you to cook hamburgers and fries at home, and have your order made incorrectly each time you go there, this is the place for you. Update 2022: have been to this McDonalds a couple times in the last few months, and it has improved quite tremendously! Orders were correct, food was good temperature, fast and friendly service. Good on ya, McDs!

We loved our stay here and I would recommend it . The food was awesome and Helen was a great host. Loved the ambiance and very relaxing. We enjoyed the pool and the beauty of the yard.

Definitely not a 24 hour drive thru, even though the sign claims it is. Waited in the drive thru for 20 mins and had to call to find out they close at 2 a.m. and reopen at 4 a.m. False advertising.

They Tend to Mess Up Orders

Before I share, please note this is very out of character for me but I was appalled at the service I received. Earlier this evening I placed a mobile order for a quarter pounder meal w caramel sundaes & apple pies. Upon arrival at the pick window I was informed the ice cream was not a servable consistency and that they were out of apple pies. I kindly asked for them to issue me a refund for the apple pies & sundaes and put it towards a smoothie. After receiving my smoothie I drove back around to order something else to eat to prevent holding up people behind me who had already ordered. I wait at the speaker for over 5 minutes to have my order taken while two customers in the other lane (who arrived after me) have their order taken. I finally order and proceed to pay and receive my food. When I arrive home and begin eating my fries I notice they are firmer than usual, so I try a few more to my surprise they undercooked!!! At this point I am beyond frustrated I don t even want to return to the restaurant to have this corrected. I call the restaurant and speak to a manager explaining my frustrations. Their solution? to send me a coupon for fries in the mail . IS THIS A JOKE? No apologies for the inconsistencies/mistakes just what s your name & address ok we ll send you a coupon for the fries I previously worked in the fast food industry for 3+ years as a supervisor, this is inexcusable. -Denika Leclair

this place is the temple of God. when I say this place has provided me with nothing but transcendental experiences time and time again let me preface by saying that my husband and I are root beer obsessed. any time we can get even a drop of that sweet, spicy, heavenly nectar, we will stop at nothing for it. it is our be all, end all. now, with the scene set: I recall a time last year when we visited this location for two chalices of this delectable, irresistible drink. they must have poured it from the Fountain of Peirene itself and had it blessed by the Pope. when I tell you we have never in our lives laid our lips upon something so flavoursome and piquant it felt as though I was sitting at the right hand of God, and all the trials and tribulations I had faced in this lifetime were being washed away with a heavenly rain. I never thought I would experience something so otherworldly again in this unendurable lifetime until tonight. the trajectory of my life itself was changed, the stars aligned, the world stopped in orbit, and the heavens split apart to afford me the most incredible McExperience I have ever partaken in. not only did the employees greet and serve us as though we were seated at a table amongst the Greats of History, but the food tasted as though it was crafted by none other than Alain Ducasse. the fries were fresh, warm as a hug received by a loved one, and salted just perfectly enough to leave you craving the next bite and mourning the mouthfuls you wish you could have again. the burger was so delicious that it invoked a powerful feeling of physical pleasure and sensation, the cheese happily melting over the meat and the sauce so perfectly and delicately distributed to provide the most perfectly balanced dance of flavours in my mouth. and to finish off the Holy Trinity of perfect meals, they gave me yet ANOTHER cup of the MOST delectable root beer. seriously they must have made a deal with the devil for their soda fountain to be pouring out the liquid gold that it does. it was in the top 3 of best soft drinks I have ever ordered at a fast food restaurant. there are no words to truly describe the way that this location transports me onto an entirely different plane of existence, and there is no amount of stars to properly rate my experiences here. I pray to whatever God above that this McDonald s never lose it s Midas touch and that I will only continue to have my overall quality of life heightened and improved upon vicariously through it.
