Had a delivery order this evening. The driver was an owner and she killed it! Easily the best delivery experience evah!! Oh and the food is the quality i expected! Will eat there again!!!

It is similar to Chipotle. The choices are pretty good. We had some difficulty finding it from the street because the sign is small and the restaurant is actually down in the basement

With the new owners, under the guidance of the co-founder, it seems that the restaurant has improved the quality of the ingredients and the flavor-fullness of the dishes. My summer burrito is similar to how I remember it, pre-pandemic. Now, if they could only bring back the smoothies and the Nutella milkshake, I will add another star to make it five stars. Please . Recognizing that people are hungry at late hours in the night, I think it is helpful that they are now open till 9 o clock as of May 2024.

I am incredibly disappointed with both my most recent experience at Boloco as well as the lack of service and communication since. I was not originally going to post a negative review, but I am quite disheartened to see a restaurant I once loved decline so much in quality. About a week ago, I placed an order ahead for pickup. I had a busy evening, so I wanted to pick up something quick, easy, and reliable from Boloco. Normally, I am quite satisfied by the food I receive from Boloco. The food is fresh, delicious, and made quickly. However, when I ordered ahead last week, my food was not prepared at the time of pickup. It looked busy, so I decided to wait a bit before asking a staff member. After waiting for 20 minutes (for an order I placed ahead of time), I decided to ask the staff if they were working on my order and when it would be ready. I was told that they were preparing it and that it would be ready soon. I ended up waiting another 40 minutes before they even started working on my order. I was literally standing in Boloco waiting for food I intended to pick up for AN HOUR. The staff workers were aware that I ordered ahead and made awkward eye contact with me for the whole time I was waiting. I was super uncomfortable and unhappy. I am also quite upset by the fact that people who were ordering in person were receiving their food much faster than me. I am not sure why the long line of people were in and out much faster than me, but I was incredibly annoyed by the fact that I ordered ahead for fast food and then ended up waiting longer than anyone. Because they didnt start my order until almost the end of the night, they were out of many of the toppings I had ordered for my burrito, so I did not even get to eat the food I wanted. The rice was undercooked; the meat was cold; half the toppings I ordered were missing. The bowl I ordered did not have cheese or lettuce on it. After waiting inside for a literal hour, I was incredibly upset to be eating mediocre food. After my incredibly subpar experience, I reached out to customer service through the website. I explained that the food and service I received were not the quality I was used to from Boloco, and instead I was ignored. I have not heard anything back and I am incredibly dismayed by the lack of service and support both that night and since. As someone who once loved and depended on Boloco for quick and delicious food, i am incredibly, incredibly disappointed.

Weve been coming to Boloco for 3-4 years now, and while we liked it, things have really improved under the new owner! The space feels warmer and more inviting, its cleaner, the service is friendlier, and the food is definitely tastier. I always get the elote burrito, and I noticed on a recent visit it was so much more delicious than it had been on previous visits. If you havent been in a while, highly recommend coming back. Now that the place is under new ownership. The restaurant got a major upgrade!

Everyone knows my reviews. I m fair and honest.Its Amazing to my that the owner did not greet or smiles at anyone as she rang people up. I don t think she should be taking on that role. A smile goes a long way. I went here with my woman tonight. Customer service was subpar. Didn t see anyone smiling or greeting customers as they ordered. Ordered classic Mexican with carnitas and extra protein. Pork was dry as can be. The attached photo will prove that. If you know pork you ll see it s dry as flour. Absolutely no flavor at all. Food was also cold. Makes me wonder if they are following town regulations. Attaching pics. I do not recommend at all. Chipotle and Moe s is by far better which is sad because they are a huge chain.

My food was late and cold. These review responses are also condescending, Hanover Boloco. Its obvious that the level of service has dropped recently. Waiting to see if anything changes.

Great customer service! I ordered food to be delivered to my workplace yesterday and doordash did not deliver it to the right place (not bolocos fault). One of the owners CJ immediately reached out to me and made sure the order was remade and got delivered to me at work today. I also got a free cookie. CJ was extremely communicative and helpful, Ive never had a restaurant be so committed to making things right! And the food was great :)

Great food and service. I wanted to update my review after ordering food last week. Since it was less than a hour till closing I could not use the online service so I called in and after giving my order information I was asked to add a tip. I found it frustrating to be forced to tip for counter service that I would pick up. I cant imagine this is approved policy to put a customer on the spot like that. I doubt the employees are paid wages that rely on tips. I couldnt imagine finishing a project at my job and putting my hand out. In the future, if I call in an order and asked for a tip I will cancel it. Tipping culture in the US has gone nuts.

Just as good as chipotle

The owner is always pushy when ordering and rushes us along (even when there s no line). Often, the rice is undercooked and they are out of vegetables etc. The prices continue to increase and the portion sizes continue to decrease. Unfortunately, Boloco has become less worth going yo. In the area, however, I would recommend Boloco over Moe s.

My experience with Boloco is always top notch! They get our food order correct, the food is always fresh and delicious, they deliver in a prompt manner (usually before the expected delivery time) and the staff is kind!

Yeah we eat here every week. Generally theyre great. Dont come here on busy days though. Vegetarian options: Pretty solid. They make awesome veggie bowls Parking: Parking is right behind the complex, you likely wont find anything on the main street

Excellent food and excellent service

The Elote Burrito is the best thing on the menu. Im a tad biased cause I love elote. Im told the other styles and custom burritos (like Moes or Chipotle) are good as well.

We recently came to the Hanover location to get takeout and I experienced a situation with one of the employees that needed to be resolved. John Pepper, one of the co-founders, took the time to speak to me on the phone to clarify any misunderstanding that happened and come up with empathetic steps to take moving forward. Weve always love the food at Boloco (it kept us nourished during the three months our infant was staying at the Intensive Care Nursery at Dartmouth) but I have even more respect for this establishment now!

Food is delicious! I didnt always feel this way because I was always building my own burrito and then I started ordering the specialty items and now I order like once a week! Food is top notch!

We went a few times in the last 2 years and we were not happy our burritos were sour and just not good and we drove an hour and a half one way, that s a three hour trip just to throw them away after a couple of bites. Lhdk food and plenty of it. Both my wife and I had burritos I I larger one as I am the larger person. Interesting in how it works. They have a variety of different things that you can add to your burrito. They have been ordering which they place things on a burrito and Im sure works with the other things they sell. I had considered getting a quesadilla but burritos seem the right thing to do. They take the taco and steam it so its nice and soft. Im not sure I like that that much. I think Id rather have my taco on steamed and then they put the ingredients in one by one. There are extra charges for queso. Those extra charge I think for Glock as well as for some of the proteins. Gives you a lot of food they do give you. Or you can get plastic knife on fork but its kind of small for the purpose and the knife is not going to cut anything. Overall food is very good. The atmosphere is a bit stark but Ill be going back when Im up in Hanover. Physically the place is a basement restaurant, there are some windows that let light in from the front and theres plenty of lighting so its not an issue. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended for families for kids for college students.

This was hands-down the worst Boloco Ive ever been to. The bathroom floor was dirty, the lights were broken, and the one stall had a broken lock. My rice bowl had very oversalted rice, they forgot to add my extra guac, there was no flavor to the tofu whatsoever and the actual flavor - the summer bowl fruits and veggies - were barely present. It was the most expensive, worst rice/bean bowl Ive ever had. My partner wasnt impressed with his meal, either.

Ordered delivery at 11:30 AM, my coworkers ordered around 12ish, three orders came in around 1:30 none of them were mine, I had to wait another hour for the food to come in they said they would refund the order but they never did... I am very disappointed I have been ordering from them for years!

We online ordered an original burrito with steak, boloco rice, cheese, mango salsa, guacamole & buffalo sauce. We received nothing in the burrito besides steak, the wrong rice, and cheese. We payed for those extra add ons and they didn t put a single one on there. Won t be back.

Oh my!! My first visit to a Boloco and won t be my last!! Their options for vegetarian and vegans and the health Conscience are great; Tofu, beyond burger, farro and brown rice!! I ordered a Yummy bowl and had the awesome staff fill it with farro, tofu, black beans not swimming in salt, caramized onions, carrots and broccoli and topped it with a tantalizing mango salsa and cojoita cheese!! As I peeled away the foil from my latest purchase to reveal the burrito within, I genuinely paused for a moment to admire how well-wrapped my burrito was. Where other establishments might peddle leaky or torn tortillas, I was so impressed by how snug and secure my burrito was that I had to write a review, and I literally never do that. While were at it, Ill just say it - Boloco is better than Chipotle. Change my mind.

Oh how I love chomping down on a massive burrito with everything in it! My favorite order is the modern Mexican burrito, sized up, with carnitas, broccoli, corn, and whatever cheeses and sauces strike my fancy that day. Its quite worth the price, too! If I had one crib, it would be the common crib about burritos, which is that the burrito is a bit heterogenous: I would prefer each bite to have a little bit of everything. My friends are known to like their classic Mexican and elote corn options as well. They have the same options for their tacos, salads, and bowls too; and each item has very flexible, subway-like customizability. For me, its basically Subway for burritos. Overall, I love Boloco for enabling some of my most wholesome, comforting, face-stuffing meals. Its the kind of thing to follow up with a nap or a nice book. Update: worth mentioning, theyre pretty affordable, too. And also, my new favorite is the summer burrito!

Ordered food for delivery. Was very disappointed by the charred cookies they sent us. These are inedible. They are rock hard and burnt to a crisp. You can see one of the cookies is normal, but then 2 of them are roasted. I let management know about this and they made it right and some. I Will continue to give boloco my business because of their prompt effort to make things right.

Today was probably our 10th visit to this Boloco in Hanover, and it seems the quality and friendliness is dropping off. Ive been to a bunch of Boloco restaurants in Boston, and every time the staff has been very friendly. During todays visit, and even after double checking to make sure sauce was added, it tasted like it wasnt. Our burritos were very bland. Secondly, it felt like the older gentleman working there was short and hurrying us along with only 1 person behind us. They were not busy! This has happened the last couple times, and weve always friendly, so Im not sure why we were treated this way. I can overlook bland food or minor errors occasionally, but not unfriendly service. Not sure I will be going back.

It was fine, nothing really that good and when I went they were very behind on to-go orders, so I had to wait almost 10 minutes to order. It would have been worth it if the food was good but it was just pretty mediocre. :(

The food is overall average. Its edible and fine, and thats about it. It fills a niche in Hanover which doesnt have all that much quick service, so its technically one of the fastest options. Its helped me out in the past when I was in a pinch and needed a bite to eat, gets 3 stars for that. But its not exactly a standout meal, at least for me. Edited: My initial review was unnecessarily harsh.

Just started work at Dartmouth and ordered a small burrito. It was fantastic and I m going to be spending way too much money at this place.

Worst excuse for a burrito at BoLoCo in Lebanon, NH. Okay, I get it... Dartmouth is 2,200 miles from the Mexican border. But seriously? We bought 4 burritos and all four were essentially dry, rice burritos. Probably a full cup of rice, wrapped in a cold tortilla, with bits of chicken and beans added as flavorings, rather than as ingredients. If you want Mexican food in Lebanon, youre better off spending your money on one of those dangerous-looking tacquitos under the heat lamp at 7-11.

Absolutely delicious food, my husband and I have been twice so far and plan many more visits! However, I ve taken a star away due to our first trip my food was ice cold and the smoothie I ordered was in a cup that was cut open so, when it eventually began to thaw, it spilled all over me in the car. The smoothie was alright, nothing I d order again, but the burritos are addicting despite the slightly high price tag.

Very good food at a decent price. Ambiance isnt homey, more cafeteria-ish, but a good place to eat regardless. ... I couldnt see a way to respond to your suggestion ask - I think lamps and art, often darker colors (without getting too dim) are a way to increase ambiance, but thats my personal take, right? Others might feel it has great ambiance! Keep up the good work though!

Boloco is always one of my go-to places for great, healthy food in Hanover. The location is convenient, and food is always amazing. I want to give a huge shout-out to their new menu - with burritos, bowls, tacos, and quesadillas! I got a delicious bowl from the new menu yesterday and I cant wait to try the other options. This place is a family favorite but again, the people who work here seem to be bothered stressed and annoyed . Maybe they re understaffed. I love boloco but I ordered for delivery today and I live in a apartment with 2 doors and instead of knocking on a door, they left my food outside. I do take responsibility for not putting or writing a apartment door # but we do not have a apartment number. So I just thought that was irresponsible of them. My food luckily wasn t really cold because I saw it on the porch before it was too late

Decent food overall, but its expensive and inconsistent. Portion sizes are reasonable, but for the price, Id expect more (the biggest burrito is really a medium compared to other places Ive been). The main issue Ive had is the inconsistency. On more than one occasion the tortilla has been hard, rice hard, and filling not hot enough. Other times its been great though...

Wonderful place to go for a treat or night out with friends. The menu letting you pick your food and what style you like it in opens up loads of possibilities, and is very unique. My personal favorite combo is the Elote Nachos with Steak.

How does this make any sense I place in a payed online order on a time. I get to boloco. I Walk all the way down to the register. Where all the staff are I Tell them I m here to pick up my order. Then they say rudely that the pickup section is near the front on the right in shelves. Ok So I walk back to the shelves on the right. And its just a book case with a bunch of pre-paid Pick up orders. With no staff around it So I don t need to confirm who I am? I can just walk in and take my pick up bag? They wouldn t even know if my order was stolen? Hey everyone if you want free food just walk-in and take a pe-paid P/U bag. No confirmation is needed. Are you serious! What pathetic system is this?

Boloco is a great joint for a burrito, easy for take-out, easy for order ahead, good variety for all diet types.

Orders were small, incorrect, bland, and incredibly cold. Eat here if you wish to waste your money.

My biggest complaint is that the food was a bit bland, so grab some extra hot sauce on your way to sit down. It is also not at all handicap friendly, so skip it if you have trouble with stairs (that is one star off). Otherwise the interior was nice and clean, and there were some nice outdoor seating options. The food was healthy and priced on par with similar restaurants. The staff was nice and helpful.

Ordered the modern Mexico burrito and was disappointed- both the rice and beans were hard (undercooked) and cold. The chicken had some hard dried out pieces. The beans were also salty. Unfortunately not a good burrito at all.

Great selection and super tasty. Vegan choices as well. Loved the tofu and the tomatillo salsa!

Online ordering process is clunky. Can not even get any spice in the burrito. Aren t burritos supposed to be spicy?

Really disappointed and probably wont be back. Our smoothies were pretty good, but the rice in both meals we ordered was way undercooked. So gritty it was practically raw and nearly made everything inedible. Maybe this was just a one time thing, but its a little too pricey to give it a second chance.

Im halfway through my Original Mexican Caesar burrito, and Im once again overcome with a sense of oneness with the universe. Its so good. Hats off to you guys.

Excellent burritos and shakes. Although the menu has changed from the original, it is still excellent. The burritos are more geared towards Mexican filling now than they once were, but they are much better and very different from what you would expect from a chain. The new elote burrito is an unbelievable adaptation of the Mexican street corn delicacy! Unfortunately, the prices have recently gone up and the sizes have gotten smaller. It is still the best place for lunch in Hanover though.

Edited (10/5/2020) up to 4 stars after receiving a refund+ from the owner. ******* Generally a fan of the food, but today I ordered take out for pickup at a specific time, about 1.5 hours after I ordered. When I came to pick it up it was ready, but had been made so far ahead of time it was cold. Who wants a cold burrito!? Pretty basic stuff

I ordered a teriyaki bowl. My first complaint is a portion size for the $10 whats pathetic. My second complaint is the rice that was in this bowl is still crunchy. My wife got a warrior bowl and her rice was overcooked. Havent tried boloco before and I can assure you I will not try again.

Barely edible. The wrapping on the burrito tasted and felt like cardboard. The filling was tasteless except they added too much pepper in an attempt to give it flavor. The Nutella shake was insipid
