I am APPALLED that this doesn’t have 5 stars on Google. I am an avid Asian foodie and this is my favorite Thai place of all time. You HAVE to get the baby spring rolls and the crab fried rice. They are literally so kind there as well. Amazing service. This is my husband and I’d go to. If you’re choosing where to go, go here.
I got the Pad Kee Mao and it was absolutely delicious. Staff was polite and place was quaint. A bit on the expensive side but it was worth it.
I visited this place at least a half a dozen times as I've been working in Houston. They seem to stay pretty busy and have carryout orders constantly streaming out. Their lunch special is great and their regular prices are quite reasonable as well. Every dish of theirs that I've had has been fantastic. I especially enjoyed their tiger cry beef, ground chicken with basil, and chicken satay. Definitely try more than just pad thai, there are so many good dishes!
The food was delicious. The customer service was great as well. We ordered shrimp Pad Thai, orange chicken and spring rolls. They made sure all the sauce needed was in the bag. I wish they cooked the bean sprouts and the spicy seasoning in with the food but it’s still tasted great! 🥰
Food was pretty good. I ordered for takeout and requested curbside but it seems they aren't doing that. Very small restaurant with only a few tables, but there were 2 other people that entered same time as me to pickup takeout so it seems that's a large part of their business. The food was very good and the portions were large.
Small space. But very good food. Service is luke warm, but that’s how it is these days. I like to leave a tip based on friendly accommodating service. Had to cut back to 15% because main guy went over and sat down looking on his phone ordering people from kitchen who were delivering meals to get checks for our table and another. He was probably 8 feet from our table. Anyway, very good authentic Thai.
What it lacks in dining space is more than made up for in quality. Fresh food food served quickly. The lunch deal can’t be beat. Thankfully we just did beat the rush and got a table. Definitely a place to go and not be disappointed.
Among my favorite Thai restaurants in Houston. All the classic dishes in a no frills space. The food is all very flavorful - I particularly loved the basil chicken and pad see ew. Also of note, the restaurant is BYOB! Overall, I definitely recommend this spot and hope to come back soon!
Used to be a great place for thai food. The last time we ordered take out, the food was super salty. We were a group of three and all had the same feedback. Not sure if they changed owners or chefs but this was super disappointing. I actually rinsed and drained the noodles off with some water and recooked it to get rid of some of the sauce and salt but it was still too salty. Unbalanced noodle dishes.
This place is always great! Food cooked to perfection, staff friendly, service on point, available parking, cute plants inside. I have never had any complaints about this place! Wheelchair accessibility: Place is very small and would be difficult to navigate
Pad thai too salted and cucumber salad small Container sauces and price was too high Food
Great food and service. Definitely return
Delicious Thai restaurant! The coconut ice cream is especially amazing.
The food was surprisingly good. Service was ok. I will do it again if I have the change for sure
This is my go-to Thai Restaurant. Amazing for choices, great prices, excellent service. They know me here because I always come back and dine in. I discovered a new dish - Pad Pet - oh, so good. Give this place 10/5.
Ordered Tiger Cry and chicken wings for pickup. The Tiger Cry was literally unseasoned, pan cooked, medium rare steak with steamed rice and veggies I could have made at my house. Same with the wings, just fried unseasoned wings in a generic sauce you could get at Walmart probably. Lame.
Food taste was ok I had the Tum Yum and Soft Spring-roll peanut sauce is extra and they did not have sirrachi the young man was not familiar with the menu the lemonade lacked flavor
Authentic Thai food. The green curry with tofu was amazing!
Parking can be tight near the restaurant, but theres a large parking lot thats connected. Service is particularly good here. Food is great and fresh. However, I must say that the papaya salad is not for me flavor wise. Ive enjoyed the rest of the menu very much. I will return for lunch
Great food. Friendly staff. Try the eggplant!
The food here is amazing!!! Thank me later
Me and my wife came here because of tik tok and it was amazing. I gotten the kee mow fried rice place and medium spicy level with chicken and it was delicious, my wife got the pad Thai with chicken noodles and that was good as well and we had a strawberry mango lemonade which was also delicious as well. Definitely would recommend this to any one feeling Thai food.
Love this place by far the best Thai restaurant in Houston area the pineapple fried rice is my fav the best Kid-friendliness: Nice places beautiful decor and lots of plants Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp
Really good food! Pretty good menu with nice variety of dishes with pretty decent prices. Indoor dining is cozy, but they also have a small patio out front. Id definitely go back to try more dishes Food : 5/5
If you have a Thai craving, there are a lot of good options in Houston but after trying many, this is my official go to in the area. Really everything I ve tried is fantastic. I usually get take out but it s a cozy little dine in spot too for a casual lunch or dinner. I was debating on 3 or 4 stars on atmosphere but mainly because the space is simple and homy, not the type of atmosphere that gets attention or special notes. However, it feels quaint. This is a hidden gem all around and recommend for casual Thai.
Pad See Ew was delish!
I ve been here a couple times and had a couple different things (Pad Thai, Curry Noodles, Kao Tom Gai, and Tom Kha Gai) and each time it s been amazing. Their Pad Thai is the best I ve had in Houston. And though I m not typically a fan of peanuts, I really loved the rich nutty flavor of the curry noodles. My roommate and I tried the Kao Tom Gai tonight and were totally blown away by the flavor, I 100% recommend it. I genuinely feel like you could order something new off the menu each time you go and never be disappointed Dietary restrictions: They re pretty knowledgeable about stuff for gluten free diets. I ve never had any issues with my intolerance after eating here
I ordered take out from Morningside so many times. The food is always delicious no matter what I order. Best Thai food I ever had
I ve ordered from here before and it was good! But today something about the kitchen+pork is very off. If the restaurant reads this, please check your pork meat. The texture is too soft and the smell is too strong. This pork larb is full of ground pork fat and is the worst ive ever had. This pad prik khing the pork doesn t taste right. The green curry is honestly the worst ive ever had the flavor is bland and off. If you have new kitchen staff please train them better. Very disappointing, i will be throwing all $60 of this food into the trash
I ordered the Happy BHU-DA (veggie) plate with an order of spring rolls. The food was definitely delicious. However, Id prefer more veggies for the price ($13.95) Vegetarian options: Needs more vegetables
Pros: clean, good customer service, reasonable prices Cons: chicken tastes like a different species of bird.... yuck not real chicken, soup was brought out chills and egg roll was cold also garlic sauce was good but stick to the shrimp! THANK me later!!!
Delicious food & friendly service
My first time eating here. I ordered the Ground Chicken Basil & Fried Egg entrée dish medium, so a little kick of spice but not at all spicy. Not a fan of the fried egg that came on top of the meal, so I tossed that. Nowhere in the Toast app delivery to add a note to take off egg. Food was good and fresh and arrived at my home, quickly. I will order here again when I want a Thai food fix.
The food wasnt as spicy or flavorful as I normally require ,nor did they ask on a scale of 1 to 4 how spicy would you like your food. I thought it would have more flavor if no spice. Its my fault for not asking. Next time Ill ask.
Great little hidden gem - awesome service and delicious food with plenty of vegetarian options
My favorite Thai spot in Houston! The food is always fresh and delicious. Also, I love that they have a dog menu. My dogs gets to enjoy the food too!
When I say this food was sooo good!!! For lunch I had the calamari, red curry and fried rice. The place was small but had most of their tables filled with customers. I m definitely ordering from here again
I loved this restaurant when it was under the original ownership on Morningside Dr near Rice Village. Sadly since it was taken by new ownership and moved to a new location it is disappointingly not the same at all.
Small Thai restaurant. Good food. Vegetarian options: Tofu options for most things Parking: Located in a medical strip mall, so parking is reasonable and free.
Completely average in every way. Well, the service was slow so I guess thats less than average.
My neighborhood Thai place. Small gem in the Kirby/main area. They have pretty fast service. Great price for the portions. Delicious food.
First time eating here and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, as well as the milk teas. Definitely coming back when we re in Houston.
Soup had no flavor, mushy egg roll filling and Pad Thai was overcooked, slimy and sent back. Service was terrible. Change of owners??? Parking: parking lot
Food is very good!
It was nice and calm inside. Food was so good and fresh. Well made dishes and desserts. Great customer service.
The best Thai food place in central Houston
Went back about a week ago, service was great and the food was amazing!
I was blown away by the vegetarian soup. We shared a crispy red snapper dish that was superb. Service was perfect. Update 6/8/24: we shared a yellow curry that I find delicious but my companion found just ok. We tried fried eggplant as an appetizer, and its a winner. We also tried the fish cakes appetizers, and they were tasty & a bit different. I liked them a lot while my companion didnt as much. Were going to come back and explore the menu more. The rating stays a solid 5 stars.
Ordered the chicken Pinnapple fried rice with extra pork and it was fantastic!
Our favorite neighborhood Thai place! A great go-to with a ton of options on the menu.
Great service and the food was delicious.
Great shrimp pad Thai or vice versa. However spring roll to go was an egg roll . My understanding was the spring is the un-fried shrimp roll. Very popular with medical center staff
This place is a gem. Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants in Houston. I love the intimacy and the food is always fresh and flavorful. 10/10 would recommend
The Massaman Curry and Tom Kha Soup were AMAZING! The chicken in both was so tender and moist. Honestly, the best Tom Kha Ive ever had. Its BYOB, too.
Note to self. This restaurant green curry is terrible. Runny; soupy; not creamy, chicken is over cooked and without flavor. Skip this one. The search continues. Mexicans cant cook thai food.
very delicious favorite dish is the green Curry and coconut milk tea
We ordered takeout Pad Thai with Chicken and Ginger Chicken stirfry, which we have eaten at countless other Thai restaurants and enjoyed. Both dishes were filled with red pepper flakes and so hot we couldn t finish it. Pad Thai and Ginger Chicken are not traditionally spicy Thai dishes so we were not expecting it. Won t be ordering again.
Ordered online and they were very late with making the food and they even forgot the sauce with the eggplant appetizer
Small restaurant with amazing food. Can not get enough, highly recommend, I go once a week but and has never disappointed.
Food was good and staff was friendly.
Really loved the flavor of the peanut sauce with the spring rolls. The green curry was tasty and spicy but not overwhelming. Overall great food and prices
I dont think Ive ever written a food review in my life but this place is so delicious I felt compelled to. I order to-go from here almost weekly. They have the best white rice ever and the curry is amazing!
The restaurant offers exceptional food and outstanding customer service. We were promptly greeted upon entering, and the staff was attentive to our service needs, assisting us in selecting the best food options. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience with excellent food choices and service.
The dining experience at this restaurant surpassed our expectations with its exquisite cuisine and impeccable customer service. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by the staff who promptly attended to our needs, providing guidance on the menus highlights. Their attentiveness continued throughout the meal, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was enjoyable. I enthusiastically endorse this restaurant for anyone seeking a memorable dining outing, where both the food and service are top-notch.
Blessed night. I had the Tofu Pad Thai: spring onions old and wilted, took off noodles hard and tasted slightly burnt, even had black chard pieces from pan. Crazy. Oily consistency and NO flavor other than burned taste and lime, that I tried to use to mask taste. Didn t work. Just for kicks because I wasn t eating anymore, I tried to mix and the noodles at the bottom of the bowl were all stuck together in the shape of the container. Had to pry apart with a metal fork, not the plastic that they provided as it would have broken. Called to get refund and advised that I would bring the entire meal back as there was no way I was eating it and they advised NO REFUND only credit. Asked for manager, said only owner asked for owner said that s the person that said no refunds said owners name is Champ but the last name is too long. I won t go back and if you know what I know you won t try it. Just fyi I don t like to complain but when they refused to return my money that was a problem. It was my first experience here and it was the worst ever, so what makes them think that I want a credit? I only chose one star because I had to wanted to give a negative # Worst Thai food that I have ever had, and my family LUVS Thai Food!!! Oh well business lost Be blessed everyone
Some months back my husband and I had dinner here. We ordered chicken satay and beef pad Thai. Everything was great till we got to the beef pad Thai. For some reason the beef tasted strange in a not so good way and even had a funky smell to it. I wouldn t even have fed it to a pet. When we brought it up to the waiter, he brushed it off and didn t do anything about it. I am a foodie and will eat all kinds of food. I m really not picky so for me to complain about food and not eat it is rare. Really wanted to give this place a second chance but the waiter just about did it for us with his lack of customer service skills. A shame that it s so close to our house cause we love Thai food.
Food had great flavor and service was quick. Pulling up it s next to an abandoned building but don t let that discourage you!
Small place and normal Thai restaurant
Yummy food! Came here for lunch and it was pretty crowded on a week day. We got Pad Pett and Drew s crispy chicken, both are so tasty! I m glad that we tried out this place. Will come back for sure when we re in the area again. Food
The food is amazing
The food was good. Although the Basil fried rice did not have basil. It was easy and quick to order and the customer service was good.
So we usually get Doordash delivery or take out from here and its been a pleasant experience overall.. so this weekend we decided to eat dine in with the kids. When we arrived, there was nobody in the restaurant (this was around 530pm), and we were told to wait for a table (when every table was available). A couple arrived a few seconds after us and they were basically seated immediately. We finally got a table situated with a high chair. When we ordered our meal, my wife requested the chili-lime sauce that we frequently get on delivery apps and was told they dont sell that for dine-in and its an UberEats exclusive (HUH??). They said they would have to charge the UberEats price for the sauce (why cant you guys just say the sauce cost extra..? we would have been okay paying for it). After some back and forth, they came back from the kitchen mentioning that they no longer sell the sauce. The server/host (a youngish guy with glasses) was not very accommodating of my wifes request and insisted that there was no such sauce or it was being axed from the menu (this is completely false as Ill describe later). Okay fine, no sauce... so we go about ordering our food. We werent super hungry so I ordered a small soup with a thai tea and my wife ordered a soup entre to share with the kids and our friend ordered a curry entre. The server passively aggressively asked if thats all we were ordering when I feel like there was no mention of a minimum order amount and something like a minimum order shouldnt even exist at a restaurant like this. Also, when I asked for less ice, he mentioned the Thai tea would not have the glass full. The server/host was just very combative with every request we made and was a very frustrating experience for everyone. Water was not provided even after the Thai tea was served and we had to re-request the water. Also refills were offered only after we already finished our meal and had empty glasses for the majority of the meal (I had to take water from my kids cups...). Unfortunately, our out-of-town friend had offered to pay so I had no control over the tip, but for SURE, we would have probably opted for 10% or even no tip because our experience was so strange and uncomfortable on this particular night with this particular guy. Im not sure if he just had a bad day or what. We dont appreciate being lied too about the sauce either -- we literally just ordered the sauce along with an entre tonight on DoorDash and RECEIVED THE SAUCE, so please next time dont lie to your customers about a product that 1) you DO have at the restaurant and 2) you should be able to sell to dine-in customers?? I have never heard of a delivery exclusive menu item..... Ive seen what I presume to be the owner or restaurant manager during takeout pickups and presume none of this would have caused an issue if she was there on that particular night. In terms of food, I think the majority of stuff is quite decent. I would say the curry is a bit watered down to some extent, and the crab fried rice I wish had more flavor / mixed up more as it was more or less just white rice with crab chunks. Their pad thai is pretty good as well as their soups, and I think the Tom Yum is quite good. Its really hard to reconsider coming back to this restaurant or recommending it as a dine-in option after our experience this past weekend. Previously, we had thought this place was a pretty decent Thai restaurant near us with good value.
This gem of a restaurant is my favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. This is after just one visit and all the food was phenomenonal! The Tom Yum soup is the best Ive ever had. This will be part of our regular rotation.
We dined here this week and my experience was not great. My to goo order was pad Thai noodles and the noodles were scorched, stuck together and hard. Very disappointing! The male wait staff was unprofessional. Food
It is so clean and cute. Atmoshphere is relaxing. Foods are so good as well. Deserves 5 star.
Too sweet and too salty. Not a good thai food. Its American food style
Fresh yummy food and fast courteous service.
Good food but super slow... take out took almost 30 minutes
Such a nice little cute Thai restaurants in Htown ^^ Food
Loved the Basil chicken fried rice. Ordered it based on reviews on here and it was an excellent choice!
Parking: pequeño. Food
Best fried rice ever, don t skip the thai tea
Delicious food! I tried the Pad Thai and California rolls... so good. The portions are big. Food : 5/5
Good food in a small cozy restaurant. Curries are very good and come in good portions. They have a lunch special: select a Currie or a couple other main dish options (smaller portion that main entre) and comes with a little soup of the day and spring roll. Its a small place so it gets busy. Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be made with tofu or vegetables. Parking: This place is in a strip mall so if you dont find parking right in front of the restaurant you can still find parking.
The food was fresh and tasty.
We ordered tom yum soup, morningside clay pot, pad thai noodles, and a thai tea. The ambience was amazing. Its a small place with a max of 25 seating probably. The service was great too. Now, We were a bit disappointed with the food. Especially the chicken in the Morningside clay pot was undercooked. The pad thai were just OK for the price. Vegetarian options: only few options Dietary restrictions: You should ask for your preference, especially if you are allergic to meat(pork, beef) or shrimp Parking: enough parking Kid-friendliness: very much kid-friendly.
Having ordered more than 30 times in the last 6 months, we have been impressed with the quality of the food. EVERY time.
Didn t not like the food service was good
I go here with my coworkers sometimes. Got food poisoning one friday last week but the food is so good i dont care and will still return.
I had the papaya salad, which was a lot hotter than I expected, and red curry with tofu, which was very nice. I had enough for 2 extra snacks. Everything was clean. My favorite was the house special broth though. Vegetarian options: Curry, vegetables, broth
Food taste great. Great portion sizes for the price you pay. Restaurant is very basic, relaxed atmosphere. However, as a repeat customer, Ive noticed that customer service is mediocre at best. The gentleman who usually waits on us seems very dry and cold. Not disrespectful but not friendly at all.
Celebrating birthday.
One of our go to Thai Restaurants. Food is always good and staff is friendly. They are a small restraunt but the seating never seems to be a problem.
Food delicious! Service good!
on of my favorite pad woon sens in houston
We tired for the first time and both my husband and I loved it. Clean and fresh!! Will be going back.
Small but very tasty authentic Thai restaurant. Thai toast was a new one for me but its worth a try!
Great little place for Thai food
Will be back, great authentic Thai food .great sized portion as well
Great food and service
Not my favorite & be warned the pad Thai has soy
Amazing thai tea.
This was our first time visit, being vegetarian we are always looking for good Thai vegetarian and looks like we found one of the best one in town. Good flavors, more than perfect portions for dinner, very tasty. Clean ambiance, good service friendly staff. We are for sure coming back.
Really love this place. It has become my to go place whenever I am in the mood for quality Thai food.
Oh, this is your Thai spot now. Get the garlic eggplant, for sure. Also ordered the Tom Yum fried rice and a tea. All very good. Literally took an intermission from the meal to write this review.
Unassuming little place with excellent food. Visiting and ate here twice. The dumplings are made fresh at the restaurant (not the frozen kind ) Excellent flavors If you are a pork fan get the MooPing Its basically pork shoulder satay with a delicious sauce. Noodle soups Cant go wrong here.
Delicious curry and pad Thai noodle dishes. The Thai toast was exceptional- we dined in and will be back. Great atmosphere and great staff.
Food is always good here. Service can be just a little slow, but its never bad. We love the baby egg rolls, Drews chicken, and the Tom Kha Gai. Ive never had anything bad from here.
This is a hidden gem. I can t believe I didn t know about this place years ago. I ve been back 3 times over the last 2 months.
Excellent food, sauces, portions!
Ground chicken basil with fried egg was one of my best choices. Great taste and not much salty.
The food was excellent. Medium spicy was just enough pop without overwhelming and screaming for milk to cool it down. Had the Tom Yum soup and the drunken noodles. Ended with the delicious coconut sticky rice with mango.
This restaurant is very nice and cozy. Its nice for a relaxing lunch or dinner with a first date or catching up with a friend. The food is very good which is why I keep coming back. The service is excellent. Everything comes out tasting fresh and delicious.
We just got into town from a long day of travel. I have frequented this place when I m in Houston. I checked online and they said open till 9. We walked over and arrived at 8:22. Upon arriving we were told they stopped serving at 8:20. But we could order to go. I wanted to sit and eat. He told me then haven t updated their website to state this 8:20 rule. 2 minutes????? We reluctantly ordered to go and it was mediocre at best. I ll be finding a new Thai place. Insulting and rude treatment and a waste of my money.
I ordered massaman curry, Thai tea, watermelon drink.all were very good
I order the pineapple fried rice everytime. I m obsessed. My dog also loves the doggie rice with sweet potatoes.
They give me expired lime for the pad thai, which make the pad thai taste so bitter like medicine. Same with the tom yum fried rice. Never come back again
My wife absolutely adores this place and its become a favorite for our son as well. Great food, amazing service every time and such a cozy place to eat Parking: Depending on time of day its very difficult to find parking nearby
The red curry had a problem and customer service was not responsive when I emailed them
The pad thai was great, I love spicy chicken pad thai and this is one of the few places that has mastered making the whole dish spicy and flavorful rather than just getting a kick out of some chillies here and there.
Have tried so many pad thais all over Houston that are on the sweet side. Always request spicy but it s never done right. BUT this place has got it perfect. The flavors are so well incorporated. The yellow curry is so savory and hearty. My wife and I s new go to place.
Found this place via google search from our hotel. The food was delicious and wholesome. I usually checkout the restroom facilities of a restaurant first, since I believe if the restrooms are clean the food should be wholesome. And this place was. The item portions were generous, and the service was great. The prices are reasonable. I plan to visit this place in future again when I am in the area.
Great food. Fast and efficient. Nice place for a quick bite to eat lunch.
Came over for dinner. A little early, 7pm. Only one other person was there. I thought maybe we picked the wrong place. Started with drinks, good. Then we got our food, which also tasted good. Then within that hour multiple people came for take out and most of the tables got filled with people. Thought to myself, well now things make sense. This food is too good to only have two tables of customers on a Thursday night.
Excellent Thai food and Thai tea. Good environment.
Best pad thai I have ever had in my life! will be coming back
I really like this restaurant. The food is delicious and well cooked. They are fair with their portions as well.
Loved the panang curry! Place is very vegan friendly.
I ordered the pad Thai and spring rolls thru Uber eats first time trying this place and the spring rolls were okay greasier than used too and the pad Thai was horrible. I thought I was eating plastic at one point but thankfully it wasn t. I kind of wished it was however, because I didn t want to eat the rest of my pad Thai because it was that bad.
The Thai restaurant exceeded my expectations with its amazing food! From the flavorful curries to the fresh spring rolls, every dish was simply delicious. Highly recommended! Its a nice restaurant.
Fresh and tasty food
I am a regular customer here I buy many times to go and I dined in a few times. The majority of the time the the food is definitely good especially the curry. The ladies here are super nice and attentive. I can see that they love their job and trying to accommodate all the customers. My only concern is:There is a gentleman that works in the front who is heavy set that a majority of the times I came have such a poor attitude. He seems like he hates his job. As I dine in I tell him thank you and he just ignores me and does not have a smile. As my job deals with working with a lot of people this is just unprofessional and does not make the business any better. Maybe he is the owner? If he is he should hire more people like the women that work there to take care of guests. To get more customers it has to be a combination of great customer service and the quality of the food. With him being there sometimes I am hesitant to order with him for take out or giving tips when I am there (but since the ladies are super nice I do tip generously-since I want them to know they doing their best). I see that the owner does review this so I am glad there can be changes to this
Came in tonight to get some take-out, the restaurant was clean and very calming. I had the waitress order for me and the fish was wonderful and filling. My Mother had the curry with shrimp, and she said it also was great. Small gem that I will be returning.
Freaking AMAZING food. My new fav Thai restaurant!!!!
I was staying in a hotel nearby and ordered from here for the second time. I ordered a cup of Tom Yum Gai soup and an order of Pad Thai, both at medium spice level, for takeout. The food was delicious, but I think my pad Thai got a double dose of whatever they use to increase the spice level, which I am guessing as a splash of chili oil. My medium spice Tom Yum soup had no perceptible heat, while the medium pad Thai felt like I was licking the surface of the sun. I was literally sweating as I finished it in my 68°F hotel room! It was all delicious, but I would have enjoyed it more if both dishes were prepared at a more consistent spice level. Overall, I recommend it, but maybe order an extra beverage just in case!
Order food via u we eats with clear choices picked stating tofu and got chicken !!
This restaurant was recommended by a local doctor and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious!!!! The only negative is that my hubby ordered a cup of soup and it was missing from the order. The plus is they gave us a complimentary order of cucumbers.
I got the chicken pad se ew level was spicy. I liked that the noodles weren t overly greasy. The spice wasn t as hot as I would expect so I was able to eat it and enjoy it. I liked the vegetables that were in it however I do think the broccoli was way too big. I also tried the fried banana and that was also pretty good. I think the honey really brings out the banana flavor of rich sweetness in it.
Great food and fast service
The ambiance is pretty cozy and clean. the staff is nice! The portions are big! We just didnt like the flavor of the food! Too much fish sauce in the food, everything tasted like fish! No memorable taste I would wanna go back for
Food is great but I cant trust them to get a takeout order right. Ordered and prepaid a catering job, and on the designated pickup day/time, they hadnt made it yet. When I received my food, one of the items (soft rolls) was half quantity ordered. I called in to get that corrected and was later given FRIED rolls. Also, there was a previous incident where I made an order online and before I was able to pick it up, they handed it off to somebody else. I wrote a negative review then but the owner asked me to take it down.
The food is very nice, it is worth a visit, and the prices are good
Small but quaint place. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Give them a try! My fav is rice or glass noodles and fresh spring rolls. They do have them fried as well. Sister love Pan Nag. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options on menu. Parking: Small number of spots but many people arent dining in so they spots may open quickly. Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is very small but they can accommodate walkers and wheel chairs.
This is a small, cozy place with the best Thai food I ve EVER had! My mom & I stopped in while in Houston and ordered steamed dumpling, chicken pad Thai, and chicken yellow curry. All 3 things were delicious! Everything was flavorful and the portions were enough for 2! We will be back next time we re in town
Very good Thai food!! Loved the panang curry and the pad see ew. Not a fan of the soft spring rolls but everything else was great!
Great food! Great service.
The crab fried rice is nothing short of amazing. The place is very small but quaint.
Food is bland. Ordered yellow curr, pad Thai and it was porky and the worst Ive ever had. Dont go here.
We arrived at 8:15PM and the restaurant closed at 9PM. We were told we can be seated. Once we sat down, we were told we had 6 minutes to order. We order less than 6 minutes and then got our food and was asked to pay for our bill before finishing our late dinner. We left right at 9PM. We understand that it was late and if we couldn t be serve, we would appreciated if he/waiter just decline our service or say they are close before 9PM. We did tip 25 dollars due to the fact that the lady who clean our table was decent.
I came to eat here just myself and ordered just a simple order. Took a great while for my refill of water.
Ordered an item on menu, thai toast. They didnt have it. Peeve of mine to have menu items.
Came on today for lunch at 1:30 Monday 10-02-2023. Normal waiter was not here . Took a long time for man to take order . Lunch order came out backwards . Soup and spring roll came a good while after I got my main dish . If I see this guy working next time I come I will Just leave Food
I have never written a review for any restaurant. This is the first restaurant Ive written about so hear me out. IT S SO FREAKING GOOD YALL. I JUST WANNA GATEKEEP THIS PLACE FOR MYSELF BUT I FEEL LIKE THIS SMALL RESTAURANT NEED THE ATTENTION. I went there and ordered 3 dishes and 1 drink which was tom yum soup, beef pad thai, pork yellow curry, and thai green tea. It s all taste absolutely delicious. The service was quick. The price is so affordable compared to other restaurants because it s in downtown yk how expensive downtown restaurants are. GO THERE AND TRY IT OUT NOW.
Definitely a hidden gem! Great authentic thai food and homey place!
Soup of the day is always amazing. The Pad Thai is the best!!!
Had a quick lunch. It was quick, and the lunch menu included soup and spring roll. Perfect place for quick but delicious dishes with appetizer and soup included (only lunch menu)
Really delicious Thai food. Several dishes are made to your preferred spice level which is great for those who like their food on the milder side.
The food is absolutely fantastic. The price is good too.
My husband and I eat here a couple times a month. We declared it our favorite Thai spot in Houston, TX. Not only is the atmosphere welcoming, but the servers are so nice! We travelled to Thailand last year and can easily say that the food served at Morningside is authentic and just as delicious as in Thailand! We are impressed with the huge amount of choices on the menu and how fresh and tasty everything turns out!!! We will continue to dine in and carry out for years to come! If you haven t tried this spot, you are missing out! I never write reviews and just love this place so much.
Great food a quick lunch!
The attitude of the person at the front was terrible. He got upset when I asked about the menu.
Good thai food in town, Good people service Food
Really good. Taste just like the food in Bangkok.
Favorite Thai restaurant- every dish served is well prepared and fresh. Try everything on the menu! My favorite is the shrimp pad Thai.
I dont know how this place isnt a 5 star restaurant. It isnt boujie or over priced (which it should be but dont tell them this!) The service is amazing, I had a girl waitress and she was super sweet, the food was AMAZING (not everybodys pad thai is good, but here it is) the cheese rolls were to die for with the sauce. The thai tea was also very tasty. If I could give it 7 stars I would. Those who know, know and those who dont, dont. Be in the know !!
Nice little Thai restaurant. Had the pineapple curry with chicken, very tasty and filled me up. Very enjoyable.
Hubby and I just ordered takeout. It was delicious! I had the Thai beef fried rice and my husband had beef pad Thai. So tender and spiced just right. Definitely ordering again
I am vegetarian and according to me there could be more vegetarian option in curry, noodles. If possible have more curry, noodles, pad thai kinda options for vegetarian which is without oyster, fish oil, no eggs. Atmosphere was really good. Perfect for a cozy dating place. Vegetarian options: We order yellow curry which was the only vegetarian curry option. It was good in taste except being tad bit more sweeter. I would recommend having more vegetarian options. Thanks!!
Very delicious I recommend it
I was a loyal customer for the last 2 years. Always ordering to go. I put up with the food not being consistent and the bad attitude of the cashier because the restaurant is very close to my home, and I love Thai food. The last time I ordered food from there, however, I got food poisoning. I will not be going back. I would not recommend ordering food to go from this restaurant, especially when they are open late on Friday and Saturday for take out.
One of the best places in Houston for Thai food!! Will definitely be going back the next time I visit Houston...
Small place. Nice people... Great food
Food is always good, and service is prompt and professional. The thai fried rice, tom kha gai, baby egg rolls, cheese rolls and pineapple fried rice are very tasty.
Discovered them on DoorDash tonight! The food was so good I had to come over to Google to leave a review!! The green curry was very authentic and my nose is running from the heat! If you re heat sensitive stick with mild! I love the heat personally!
Always delicious!!
