Group of 20 people and we are told that we must hurry to finish eating and order desserts because another group is waiting, not even time to finish eating our meal that we are rushed..a bit any more and we would be sacked outside, all this despite a reservation

1.5 hrs to get food. Yes we were a large group, but we had a reservation. They knew we were coming.

Expensive but very good service!

Excellent food... Veeeeery slow weekday service. Took over two hours from entering to finally paying the bill for one course.

Came by just before dinner time and it was very quiet. My plate gave me heartburn in the evening and at night so do not recommend for sensitive stomachs. Fast service and the restaurant was very clean and quiet.

We followed the directions lettered Baton rouge P1 for parking across the street in a building. (Lots of signs) This indication was everywhere and only said Baton rouge P1. (No time indicated) When I returned around 2:00 p.m., I noticed, to my great surprise, an IDIGO ticket of $85 for parking where the Baton Rouge directions had sent me. Apparently the restaurant has an agreement to use this parking lot only after 4:00 p.m. but no sign indicates this... I took photos. I contacted the restaurant by phone and email to find out how to contest and get support since its even their names that are indicated on the poorly marked signs, but great silence from the manager of the Bâton Rouge... What a wonderful customer service!!! In summary, An office dinner for a value of: plus a fine of $85, at $175.00 plus the 15% tip for a service of this type! ***BELIEVE ME, For a bill totaling $285 IT IS NOT WORTH GOING THERE!!! *** Parking: ***Caution Big ARNAK*** Place to Avoid!! Great location for baton Rouge.i had a steak and fries,the food was delicious.

We went to eat yesterday and they refused to serve us coffee to accompany the cake and they also told us to leave, there were other customers to serve even after our reservation, I regret but the rest was not too cool, the customers were dissatisfied

My boyfriend took me there for my birthday. The food is excellent, the atmosphere and the service absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed my evening. Thanks to the young waitress for making my celebratory evening a memorable one.

Correct experience, first time in a Baton Rouge and personally disappointed. The prices make no sense for the amount of food served. The plate I ordered cost $46 for a 12oz steak, no sauces, 4 broccoli and a very simple side dish. Would not recommend unless the portions improve for the price.

Me and my boyfriend ordered a chimichurri flank steak on Uber Eats, when we opened the box we were very disappointed. 3 strips of beef, 2 pieces of broccoli and 4 pieces of carrots for $40. I dont find it normal for $40 to only have that. However, in the image, there are many more! Despite everything, its very good but for the price, I dont think Id recommend it!..

Disastrous experience on July 1, 2024 at the Baton Rouge in Hull. Group of 13 people, reservation at 6 p.m. At 6:50 p.m., so 50 min. after our arrival, I had to find the waiter myself in the restaurant to ask him to come take our orders because there were children in the group who were getting impatient (the adults too, by the way). In addition, 4 people from the group who ordered drinks upon arrival had still not received them. We received our plates at 7:45 p.m., 1 hour 45 minutes after our arrival. And the restaurant was far from being at full capacity (barely half). Same scenario for dessert, we had to signal him to take the dessert order. I ordered a coffee which was never served to me. Once again we had to find the waiter in the restaurant so that he could bring us our bills. He was busy picking up dirty dishes from the other tables. Its like hes choosing to ignore us. Everyone in the group left the restaurant completely exasperated.

worst service criss I have ever had today, I place an order Ribs, Omard tail steak etc etc well criss jarive at home and the ribs pitched in the box 0 potatoes, 0 salad etc etc and in addition order for 6 p.m. and I have them my meal at 6:15 p.m., it was finished and yet I was a regular and even the waiter knows me well, the worst calls and the manager offers me a voucher of $20 by mail, eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy these today that I didnt want to eat in 2 months, in short these never ended a real Cabochon service and in addition a little more and they wanted to put the blame on me eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy look at your menu these what comes with the Ribs? the sweet potatoes were with the steak and seafood not with the ribs. ok shank chu too much. .

50 $ charge and no food !!! I used to enjoy going to this venue on many occasions both personnal & business. Last Monday we found a torn away parking lot with big Bâton Rouge signs inviting us to park at a nearby INDIGO lot. ( A small font stated free after 16:00). When we were seated at noon time we were told that the parking was not free before 16:00 so we immediately went back after 5 minutes to the indigo parking lot and found a 50 $ ticket ! It was not possible to speak to anyone from Indigo and the Bâton Rouge manager stated she was goin to deal with this unfair matter and call us back. She never called back. I am not going back there.

It was welcoming, clean and good food

Nous sommes allés souper et avons passé une très bonne soirée. Notre serveur était Dominic, très serviable et amical. J ai la maladie Celiac et il savait ce que je pouvais manger sans problème. Il y a une friteuse dédiée pour les frites donc c était parfait. Ça fait quelques fois que nous allons la et nous sommes toujours satisfaits.

Lobster special - dont order the tacos because very, very little lobster (a few crumbs) - good but it only tastes like coleslaw. I would have liked to have been given the opportunity to buy an extra lobster to balance everything out. Nothing like the St-Hub lobster roll. Disappointment!

Beautiful bar area with tvs and cant watch the playoffs there cause they wont put the sound on. A shame is what I call that

There was a party when we were there with kids running around undisciplined... it was disruptive and my companion and I could barely hear each other or enjoy our meal. The waiter was very good! So was the food!

This visit wasnt poor, wasnt bad but embarrassingly bad. We arrive at the front door to see a notice posted saying they would have reduced hours the day beforehand for a staff party which is fine. We (a party of two) proceed inside and grab a seat at the bar as we normally do around this time of day which is around 12pm. After a few minutes we are approached by the hostess letting us know that they are short staffed and only have 1 server and would have to seat us at a booth. We happily move saying we would just like one quick drink. We were sat in a comfortable booth by the window. Little did we know that there would be a 30 person reservation right beside us. To no fault of their own, the reservation would be doing presentations. We felt that we couldnt even have a conversation without interrupting this group. There were many other open tables in the restaurant. Our server greeted us after about 15 minutes. She let us know that she had 6 tables sat all at the same time on top of the tables that she was already serving. We observed the big reservation to be unnoticed or even greeted for at least 30 minutes. They only had 4 menus to share between the whole party and were not even offered water to keep them occupied. The manager/supervisor on duty seemed to be completely unfazed by the amount of guests coming in. He made no attempt to say hi or apologize to the large group for the wait for service. After about 30-45 minutes the manager/supervisor approached half of the party to take the order and again did not make any effort to apologize for the wait. The other half of the party simply had to wait longer for any sort of service without any sort of greeting. This had been about 45 minutes after arrival. Our drinks finally arrive after 30 minutes and I have a very flat beer with no top off. We would wait another 15-20 minutes before being offered a machine to pay for our bill. During this time the large reservation beside us was presenting their awards. During one of the speeches a guests mentioned Im not even sure if well be able to eat here today. Half of the partys appetizers came out before the other half had even put in their drink/food order. Again, the manager/supervisor came up to the other half of the table without any apology for the wait and simply started taking orders. We left soon after this. My girlfriend and I are both servers. We were beyond embarrassed by the management. Our server was lovely and nothing that happened was to a fault of her own.

Nous avons très bien mangé. jai pris la bavette sauce chumichuri avec un extra de champignons miammm cétait vraiment trop bon!! Nous avons été servis par Margo, un gros wow , gentille souriante et de bon conseil. Les légumes était froid mais notre chère serveuse nous les ont remplacé aussitôt. La cuisson de nos viande était parfaite. Nous recommandons vivement ce resto.

Lendroit est jolie mais le stationnement est restreint. Pas une grosse sélection de plats dans le menu et cest dispendieux pour ce que cest. Bonne ambiance mais très chaud a lintérieur et le service est pas le meilleur mais pas le pire, une fois le service des entrée nous navions tjrs pas recu nos ustensiles & besoin de demander de remplir nos verres deau à chaque fois.

For 16 years, it has been a place where you can eat with friends, generous portions, not too noisy compared to other restaurants. The waitress was friendly. Easy to park, they have reserved spaces. a lot of mistakes on the orders, the food was correct but not 100%, the steak was perfect but the rest left something to be desired. the service was good but not 100% either we should have water at the start but we had water at the same time as the food, we had our alcoholic cocktails at the start and I think thats only pq its paying.

The service was incredibly slow, I found hairs in my steak that I asked to be cooked medium-rare and it came out well done which was way too chewy for my liking. Will not be coming here again thats for sure.

Treated myself with their excellent ribs and for desert, had the best carrott cake EVER!! Service was impeccable! Parking: Due to construction, the parking lot right next to the restaurant is now blocked and one cannot access the lower parking area (but you can off blvd de la Carrière). Customers can also use an indoor parking behind the TD bank right across from the restaurant - ask for details when calling to make your reservations.

Wonderful experience. The food was hot and tasty. I had a filet mignon with wild rice pilaf. Delicious and cooked to perfection. Accompanied by small aldente vegetables which were unfortunately very weak. For the price of the dish there should have been more. But hey, they were still tasty. It costs approximately $50 per person, including taxes and excluding tips. You have to try. Each group has its semi-private section. The heating was perfect because its winter! Parking: The parking lot behind the restaurant is closed. You must park in an adjacent street.

We went to dinner for a friends birthday this evening. We were 10 people, reservation made for 5:30 p.m. We were about to order our dessert when he asked us to hurry out because the table was double reserved for another group at 7:30 p.m.... Really very ordinary...Never again...even our waitress felt bad for us... Really a big congratulations Baton Rouge...

Baton rouge Montreal vs Gatineau: the welcome was more generous in Montreal, also the portions more generous, but the fries better in Gatineau! disappointed by the pasta with creamy sauce for the childrens menu, too spicy in pepper... too bad! And the forgotten dessert, we had to ask for it! For burgers: Grand Diable and Bâton Rouge, both places are equally good! The Bavette chimichose.... was of good quality but the portion of meat is disappointing for the price of $35. We still appreciated the waitresss gesture of having agreed to replace the chimichurri sauce with a pepper sauce without extras , and the vegetables can be counted on the fingers of one hand. The Santafe dish unfortunately, the sauce was too tangy or even acrid....the chicken fillets were still generous but nothing extraordinary for a $28 dish! Oh yes also there were more baked potatoes this evening and I couldnt have the chicken and mushroom dish because the mash that comes with the dish has bacon, the option without bacon is not possible. In conclusion... a very salty note for a really basic steak house restaurant...!

I do not recommend this location for larger celebrations. Theyre probably ok for a smaller group, but this was just overall a really stressful and annoying experience. Food was ok. Editing to add detail: I was an attendee, not the person who reserved.

I had a medium-rare New York steak. It was cooked to perfection and it was delicious. The staff were courteous and professional. They have free WiFi.

I went there for a Christmas dinner for the office on December 15, excellent service and the meals were exquisite. I had lost my invoice for accounting and I returned a month later, the young manager was very efficient in his efforts, thank you gang.

Seule commentaire serait que je trouve les accompagnements avec le steak était « plate » des piments crues avec des chou-fleurs non merci, j aurai préféré une mini salade césar ou autre chose du genre. Les patates pilées à l ail étaient excellentes par contre.

I have 3 grandchildren. Impeccable service! Its not easy to find a restaurant where young children can take out and have a meal thats a bit more upscale than other family chains. Very kind manager.

Good consistent place to order from. Interesting family options on the menu. Delivery is never as good as eating on the spot. Fries do not travel well but the overall meal is satisfying. The Louisiana Chicken Salad remains a favorite of mine.

Disappointing for a restaurant of this price that it doesnt even serve bread on the pretext that their supplier no longer supplies them. Its pretty cheap! We wont go back there again!

Went there last Saturday on a date with my husband. We havent had time to ourselves in over 6 months. To say that we were disappointed is not enough. The first drinks we ordered tasted like water, the second one was ok but still tasted bland (we ordered moscow mules) we ordered a calamari appetizer and that too was bland but especially mushy and just overall not great. When our main course arrived we received over cooked meet that was dry. My lobster tail was also over cooked, super chewy and I got 4 bites out of it at the end. My filet mignon was dry and my husbands too (we asked for medium rare)... we loved the restaurant at first when it opened but as the years go by the quality drops. We waited long periods of time before our waitress would come by, we didnt have water when we sat down and it took forever to get our drinks. We spent 300$ on a dinner that sucked and thats probably the last time we will be going there

The plate of black cod on mashed celeriac was absolutely sublime! The flavors stayed in my mouth for a long time. The service is very good, fast, courteous and attentive. The bench seats for 2 allow privacy for a romantic dinner. They have privately imported wines which are very good, we had a Chianti, the bottle is expensive but it is worth the cost. Our server, Camille, was excellent. She made our experience very pleasant. My filet mignon was a bit undercooked and she took it back to the kitchen. It was perfect when it came back. I feel uncomfortable sending food back but she made it no stressful. I found the pepper sauce too peppery and the red skin mash could have had some flavour. Overall, the food was hot and good sized portions. I would recommend this location.

Incredible service. Entire staff did an outstanding job. We were here from Woodbridge Ontario for a soccer tournament and the manager was able to accommodate our large group last minute. Thank you to all the staff at Baton Rouge!

Great service from this location. Parking can be tough though since it s in the mall and the entrance to the restaurant is at street-side. Overall our server was very polite and helpful and our food came out quickly and correctly. Lots of space for customers but I can see it being packed on a weekend.

Service horrible although polite. Example: 7 people sitting at the table, 1 person asked if they would like to order a drink. Server walked away, without taking the other 6 peoples order. Intermittent service after that 2 people ordered branzino...2 people out of 21. Sliver of branzino, on an olive oil soaked bed of rice. Very disappointed. Take it off the menu. Not at all like picture on your website. It looks like the restaurant ran out of sea bass, split it between the 2 orders, and the rice was the last bit they could muster. Both plates looked the same. And, tea, coffee nor the dessert menu was offered for perusal. Nope, not worth.

Very good place. The food here is delicious. Quite expensive tho. Our server made a mistake in the order, but they themselves went and fixed it and we didn t get charges, so no complaint. The atmosphere is great, especially if you come at 4:00 (16:00) when the dinner rush hasn t started yet. Don t recommend this place if your on a budget. But overall I will be coming back for sure.

The risk of Monday, salad from the day before, therefore rusty, New York steak, cooked medium rare, well grilled, lack of spices and cold, definitely an already cooked steak, removed from the grill and taken back later, not juicy at all.For the price... Very disappointed.. On the other hand the baked potato, very good.. you have to have something positive!!

It was the first time we had been to this location of Baton Rouge. The service was incredible, I had the best poutine I ve had anywhere, but the calamary was terrible. In the picture it shows it being like onion rings, but it was clumps and it was 99% better.

Maybe its the time I went 5:00 p.m. I returned my plate of lukewarm ribs and mashed potatoes, the very courteous waiter replaced the plate of hot but very dry ribs, not the best ribs can be -be heated in the microwave. Baton rouge is over for me. Sorry!

Prices are quite high, specially on drinks, but great restaurant.

The lighting is too dark especially when in a booth in the bar section. Food was good but not really worth the price we paid for. We found it over priced.

there seems to be a trend recently where family dine-in and quaint bar-restaurant chains pretend to be higher class establishments to be able to price their foods on the higher end (obviously with very little upscale in quality). you can see this happen with st-hubert and, of course, also baton-rouge. I went for a family outing and was slightly disappointed on the food side of things. I ordered the Gnocchi au Halloumi, and I quite enjoyed it, though the zucchini was pretty undercooked and an over-seared halloumi cheese. one of my close friends who ordered the chicken tenders showed us her plate of barely any chicken and completely unseasoned batter. they were quite lucky that their fries were decent. for the price, I dont think I would go again. Their menu seemed very limiting, and contained only had two options of pasta dishes (one including seafood, so if youre allergic, just forget it). the service was very nice and they moved very quickly, I havent even noticed the times they filled up our glasses. very kind waitresses who seemed happy to serve us. lights were quite harsh and hung right atop of us, making taking pictures unnecessarily difficult and awkward. quite annoying, especially considering it was someones birthday, and we wanted to keep those memories.

The meal was mediocre for example. -I ordered the calamari fry, 5 stars. -1/4 ribs with Caesar salad: the rib didnt have enough meat around the bones. -Homemade burger: dry, not enough sauce. The prices are affordable. No need for an appointment even on a Friday evening.

Waitress who looked like Maripier Morin charged me for side dishes without telling me. Never going there again. Went every other week. Shame. No class.

Excellent potato soup, bland beef sandwich. Terrific service.
