Many great nights to include a never to forget birthday.

On overall disappointing experience. The greeter was rude which got the visit off to a bad start. We sat for a period of time and never saw a waitress. They werent even busy yet. She arrived after we went to the bar to get our drinks. She then disappeared to never be seen again. We asked for a different table that actually had a waitress. Our food finally arrived cold. I ate maybe 1/4 of my food due to what seemed like undercooked food. Id give no stars but I had to pick at least one. Thats the last time we ever dine there. Wish we would have left and dined elsewhere. Horribly managed restaurant!

Wait staff was attentive & welcoming. The food was well prepared and reasonably priced. The drink specials totally rocked. The different varieties available satisfied my taste buds.

Went here Saturday night, first time downtown. Nice place, convenient location, decent food. Music was a little loud for the crowd, but not horrible.

One of the best steak and eggs Ive ever had. It has a cute little backyard patio and that would be perfect in the summer. Our server Mark was great and got us everything we needed. Definitely check them out.

Pleasantly surprised music was off. Usually its so loud its difficult to talk or hear. Tried shrimp poboy.very good!

We stopped in and sat at the bar and ordered a pizza. 30 minutes later we canceled the order because it wasnt done yet. There was plenty of staff on hand that night. There was a band out back that sounded good. Unfortunately we didnt get past the bar to see them.

Great food and great service. It is a little expensive but the food is great.

Went for brunch with my husband. We both ordered the steak and eggs. The menu says steak and 3 eggs. We were both only served 2. We mentioned it to the bartender and she said they always just serve 2. I showed her the menu says 3 and she said she would let the kitchen know. So I assumed that meant she was going to have them make us each another egg but no When I asked about whether she was going to bring our eggs she said oh, I didnt realize you wanted them, I can have the kitchen make them now As she was clearing our plates. We were ready to leave. So we paid for items we didnt get, no offer of a discount either. So pay attention to what you order. If we had gotten scrambled eggs we probably would not have known but we ordered over easy so we did know how many. I also emailed the restaurant that day and never heard back. The kitchen staff needs to be more familiar with the menu, the servers also. The food was good, the cheese grits were very good! The service and attitude were lacking. We really wanted to like Humphreys but this is not the first time we have had a less than pleasant experience there.

Sad this restaurant used to be a gem in this town. Owners should give up. You are ruining the downtown aura in Huntsville. Honestly, with all the buzz happening in the area, this is a sad excuse of a restaurant. All the best, I d rather not have a side of heroin with my burger!

Good staff and good food!

Joey was pleasant to have served us!! Great atmosphere here! Live music. Super long happy hour which is always a plus lol 11am to 6pm. $2.75-4 a beer. A++

Humphrey s is now under new ownership, I expect to see this place thrive like it used too.

I have always had a good experience at Humphreys but the last time was a big disappointment. They had changed the menu for Mardi Gras and apparently the cook did not have any idea of how to cook Cajun food. Rice was way under cooked and they offered no menu option for anyone who did not want to each Cajun.

We absolutely love our fav server Amber!!! She makes sure that every thing is perfect whether it s a drink or food. Visit & always ask for Amber.

We started a tan and asked the bartender if we could pay our tab with cash instead of the card they told us we could so we paid our tab with cash. The bartender still ran the card and added their own tip on top of that. Would not recommend this bar to anyone because the bartenders will pocket your cash you use to pay your tab so they can run your card and add their own tip.

Great place to get drinks, terrible place to get food. Ever since they changed management they have taken the pulled pork off of the bbq burger. We got to the restaurant and ordered our food as soon as we sat down at 6:40pm. We were told the kitchen was backed up. Thinking baked up was an extra 30 minutes. It is currently 8:20pm, both tables beside us who werent even here when we ordered got their food before us and we still have not gotten our food. At this point I wished we had gone to Jimmy Johns.

We re looking for late night snack and stumbled upon this bar and grill. We sat at the bar and ordered deep fried Wisconsin squeaky cheese with marinara sauce. They re very good . Service was good. We definitely come back when we visit downtown Huntsville.

Went in for a late night snack. Party of 2 seated immediately in the bar area. Fried cheese curds were hot and delicious. Service was fast and the atmosphere was great.

Literally the worst experience of my life. I sat there for 2 1/2 hours and didnt even get all the food I ordered.. at that point wanted to leave for an hour... My friend asked about my wings and the waitress told me someone threw them away... apparently the cook used to date my friend and he was to busy walking out and staring at her.. we had multiple people with us.. pizzas were burnt no one got all of their order. Literally a nightmare you see on tv... Tried to talk to the owner .. no response of course

I almost liked it until I found hairs in different parts of my food....couldnt like it anymore. It might have been great.

Rotten steak/ terrible service: I ordered the brunch ribeye (medium) and it came out RARE. It tasted like blue cheese and smelled sour. I ate 2 bites of the whole plate. It was inedible. My wife tried a single bite of the steak and spit it back out. We asked about mimosas and were told there was one size or they served pitchers. We looked around and everyone else that had mimosas had a double size that we werent offered. We basically got a sample size. It took like 10 minutes to get our card charged when we were finished and there wasnt much else going on in there at the time. Theres no reason to create an awkward moment by complaining to staff or management that clearly didnt care. Its easier to just leave a review and never come back.

Ordered loaded fries to go. They took forever, were terribly burned, served without sour cream or ranch as the menu described. I didnt request a new order because it took so long for the first one. Very disappointed.

Never wasting my money here again. I have nothing positive to say about my past two experiences at Humphreys. Saturday night was the last straw. In a town where there are so many wonderful restaurants, youd think Humphreys would try to do better. If they go out of business, it wont be because folks didnt try to support--it will be due to the sorry food that comes out of their kitchen, the overpriced drinks where the ice in them has melted because they sat at the bar for so long, and the awful service. I would have loved to expressed this to the server rather than leaving a review, but they were no where to be found. We had to go to the bar to ask for our check, which there is also a discrepancy in the prices on the menu and the check. However, I was just ready to get out of there and never come back at that point. Its sad to see the decline because I used to say they had some of the best brunch in town. Seems the management doesnt care now as long as they can attract a crowd of too-drunk-to-care patrons.

This place has gone downhill over the years due to poor management and lack of training. Servers have always been nice but have screwed up the bill almost every time Ive visited. Food has been terrible the last few years, I only visit for the drink specials if I decide to meet up with people. The bartenders are not organized and the setup behind the bar doesnt help them either, so expect to wait for your drink. Could compare to a true college town bar, keep your expectations low during your visit because the drinks are cheap. Live bands are always good!

Humphreys Bar and Grill was magnificent! I celebrated my Birthday there. It was so, Amazing. If, you have Never been ...GO! You will enjoy the music and the Great food. They had Mason there and he done some of his original...All thumbs up!!!! The waitress was sooooo, nice. Didnt mine serving you and had a terrific attitude! Thats why they deserve 5 Stars. Keep up The Great Work! Wishing you much success in the future. May God bless and keep everyone. Vegetarian options: They had a pizza if, not mistaken which were Vegetarian. They had green fried tomatoes which were delicious. This is all I can add not Vegetarian. Parking: It had few places across from it. But, when people come or there its full.

We sat at the bar and had drinks and some food. Food was good, its your standard bar food. The drinks were great! Our Bartender was amazing! M was super nice and makes a badass Woodford Old Fashioned! If you are nice, she will teach you about a hand hug. Having live music is a nice touch!

Attended a Working Womens Wednesdays gathering here and cant say enough good things! The went above and beyond to ensure everyone was enjoying their experience and had everything we needed to do so. Will definitely be returning!

Personally a good place to have a nice brunch. You can sit inside for live music on Sundays or you can also sit outside in the shade on the back patio. Final plus, there is free parking at the Clinton Street parking garage on Sundays just across the road from Humphreys

For the price you pay,excellent food and service is expected. We got neither. Shrimp and grits with etouffe sauce is what I ordered. What I got was Shrimp and grits with chili sauce. NASTY! Low class restaurant with high class prices. Dont waste your time.

food has severely gone done in quality over the years. the one of two bartenders serving us came to us twice without us having to call her down despite the bar having maybe 5 other people seated. overcharge for a dark and stormy at $19 which tasted as if it did not have any alcohol in it. would not recommend.

I now know why people refer to this place as dumphreys. The staff sucks as does the food and drinks. Hopefully someone will save this once happy place in downtown Huntsville but it appears this will somehow continue to get worse before ever getting better.

We used to LOVE Humphrey s back in the day and were disappointed when it kinda went down hill. However, the new owner and new staff have 100% got it back on track. We were so pleased and felt like we were back in 2018 when humphreys was the place to go. Our server David was SO amazing as was the food. Please give it another try and help get this HSV staple back up on top!!

Ordered boneless wings after being told they were out of tenders. They brought out the toughest, dryest grilled chicken TENDERS covered in Buffalo sauce

Ate here yesterday my husbands burger was pretty good but my wings were horrible don t know exactly what was wrong but they tasted like rubber.. I ordered medium and they hardly put any sauce on them we probably won t be back

This place has really gone down hill since COVID hit. Its got great music, but the beers drinks are limited, and the food is just meh.

Myself and my family absolutely LOVE Peggy! We were first time customers and Peggys drink recommendations were spot on, not to mention the respect and attention she showed my son! Never has a sever talked to him like hes one of the adults and not a child who has to have his parents order for him (hes 6), she gave him a full run down of the menu and let him take his time ordering. Shes a true diamond on the ruff.

I would have given it 0 if it was available. No waiter stopped by us to take our order for 15 minutes from seating us. We finally decided to leave after waiting for 20 minutes. When I spoke to the manager about it on my way out he was very careless and looked like he doesn t give 2 cents about customer care nor his job ( manager for the afternoon shift on 3/20/2022). Very bad management and will not be back.

We had brunch menu items. My review is based on a poor choice for the order! The three others I was with had better experiences than I did. My daughter had chicken and waffles, and they looked great. Two friends had platter breakfasts and they looked great. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was stone cold. It HAD to have been prepared and refrigerated beforehand and microwaved for service. It was awful, but I didnt complain because this occasion was more about the company than the food. I just wanted the morning to be smooth! I KNEW I shouldnt have ordered the darned thing, but was just hoping for something different! Thats what I got! Just to the negative side! But I would go back for the chicken and waffles!

Probably the best place to start your day/night downtown. Always great live music and friendly staff. Some of the best happy hour and brunch specials around. Lots of TVs to watch your favorite team on as well. They have an awesome courtyard perfect when the weather is nice.

2nd time going and while this experience was better than the last, still couldnt quite pull it off. My food order was wrong (again), my table and chair was wobbly and seemed to outsmart the entire wait staff, and apparently there were some staffing issues as our server just left in the middle of ordering and getting food, so someone else took over, then the original server came back but didnt take our table back...all in all it was a very unusual experience. The live music was good and we got to see a marriage proposal, but all in all another less than stellar experience at what is supposed to be one of Huntsvilles best spots.

I had a great club sandwich and a nice draft beer. This place fits right in with restored downtown Huntsville area.

Was seated around 10 am, put in drink & food orders. About an hour goes by but we chose to have good attitudes about it and just enjoy the time we were having as a group. But then our server walked out the door with a backpack on, the manager was running up and down the place (only 3 tables inside were seated) and very well could ve taken control of the situation. We ended up having to reorder everything from a different waitress who came up to us and asked if we needed water. If she hadn t randomly come up to check on us we would ve probably just left(and now looking back we should have). Left around 3 hours after sitting down, will not return until management has fixed these issues! If you re in a big group looking for brunch spot, do not go here it will ruin your day:( they brushed it off as being short staffed, which I understand, but you shouldn t be operating if you can t provide the basic service your offering. Some of the food was very questionable when It came to the table. So sad for this spot!

Everytime Im in down town Huntsville this is my go to spot for live music.

Went to the Mothers Brunch and was super disappointed with the quality and temp of the food for the price and the fact that the plates were dirty.

I was a little disapointed, I had been here years ago and the food and service was much better than. Still not bad, Ill go back.

I am highly disappointed today. We came in at 11:30am May 15, 2022 and Im writing this review at 12:45pm. Im still waiting on my food, drink, and at least an update on what is going on. My first time here was amazing, this second time, not so much. I keep asking where is my mimosas for my family and they are working on it (after 1.5hrs) you would think making a drink would be faster. My family is waiting another 10 minutes before we leave. Hopefully this is the only time this happens because its not even that busy. Im glad I brought cereal for my nephew.

Like the previous post , lots of staff , but lack of service. Had to wait over an hour for a round of beers while the table next to us were seated, and served their meal. Cant even pay our tab to leave to go somewhere that can actually take care of their customers Can not recommend this place until the service gets better. Whoever the owner is, needs to save this business. The food is horrible, the service is even worse and the people working there need to find another job. Walked in last night at 5:30 and didn t walk out until 8:55. Mind you, I had a burger and 3 beers (2 beers I had to get myself from the bar)

Fairly quiet, but it was a Sunday evening. Five of us stopped in for a beer and to watch some of the Stanley Cup finals. Beer was good as well as a couple of mixed drinks our group ordered. Our food was pretty good and service was great. We had heard that some of the dishes could be a little lacking in the spice/ flavor department. I got the Fish Po boy which was tasty along with Buffalo style cauliflower bites. One of us had the bowl of chili which was given a thumbs up. The Cheese Curds/ squeaky cheese was a little bland. The Buffalo chicken sandwich made up for it as my daughter said the medium was a little spicy for her. Overall good experience and would recommend as a good place to go if youre nearby. Parking: Public parking garage nearby.

We ate here on Sunday for brunch! Matt was our server and he was amazing!! Next time we come, we will be requesting him!

Great atmosphere and food. We came here for some green beer and food on Saint Patricks day.

Lots of servers just standing around doing nothing. Waited 15 minutes for service. We were sitting at a high top next to the bar. After 15 min I asked the bartender if we could get some service. He asked the FIVE servers standing around doing nothing. They all looked at us and one of the servers rolled her eyes then they all walked away. Disgusted with the treatment at this place. Please replace your horrible staff with ones that provide hospitable service. Until then I won t be back.

Amazing patio Live music nightly. Great spot to eat, relax, enjoy music. The Bottle next door is white table cloth option and food is beyond delicious. Service amazing.

We went Saturday for brunch (7/23). We were seated right away inside. There was maybe 6 other tables seated inside and maybe that many outside. I counted at least 6 wait staff. We sat there 15 minutes and no one ever came over. A bar tender kept looking at us but continued to dance and never sent anyone, so we left. So disappointed. I understand your understaffed (which i dont think was the case), but just come over and let us know.

Terrible service. Came in for lunch with a group of 5. It wasn t busy (over half of the tables empty) and both the bartender and server were extremely rude and seemed bothered by our large party. We felt very unwelcome and left. Would not go back.

1st and LAST time!! We went for brunch! Eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast ALL cold! Grits were warm at best! We had to ask for silverware!! The girl gave us 1 Fork and told us she wasn t a server and wasn t sure where anything was! She continued to say that alot off the staff didn t show up for work and that their Side-work wasn t done! We sat at the bar and we direct view of server station. A male w/hat from the back would go back n forth from back to server station and would stand next to garbage can and would continue to Spit and Drool in trash can that alone was the MOST DISGUSTING!!

It doesnt have the crowds it used to draw in due to a lot of competition that has sprung up in the downtown area.

Went to hear our friends the Tosha Hill Band play tonight. Service on the Patio from the 2 young ladies Alex and Annie was wonderful! Food was delicious also.

Had a pretty okay brunch with a friend. Good drinks. Not a lot of vegetarian options.

Horrible service, possibly due to short staff, but we were there for 27 minutes and never even got our order taken. Maybe it was just a accident, but she wasn t very friendly anyways

My loaded fries came out cold. How incompetent do you have to be to serve cold fries ? Nobody ever even checked on me again. Never coming back here.

Went on a Wednesday night and there was hardly anyone in the building. Its a good place to hang out and chill. I experienced slow service and spent about an hour waiting for a drink refill and the check after only ordering a appetizer. Came back a little while later after walking around downtown because my wife wanted something from there and we sat at the bar this time. Service was much faster. The music was a little loud and kept cutting in and out till a guy came in and started playing and turned up the volume any more, which wouldnt have been bad if he was any good. Not sure how it is on weekends but dont come here expecting to sit down, eat, and leave within two hours.

Our server Peggy was great, food was amazing, but our drinks took a while. Bar wasnt even full but the bartender seemed too busy with her people and doing things away from the bar rather than fixing our drinks.

Can I give less than 1 star. Horrible. Waited Over and hour and never even got our drinks. No one could find remotes to put on the Bama game. We just left. Horrible. We just walked out and found Furniture Factory. Game playing, free apps while you wait for food and drinks. We had our food in less than 30 minutes. Game playing everywhere and on a loud speaker. Great atmosphere at Furniture Factory. Just leave Humphrey s and go to Furniture Factory.

I hate leaving negative reviews and am only doing so in hopes that it helps correct problems at this once good place. We arrived at 3:10pm and despite the fact that only half the tables were taken, we were told by a very unenthusiastic hostess that it was a 20 minute wait and that theyd call us on cell. 25 minutes later, we walked in to check since we never got a call or text and were told oh yeah, your table is ready. We waited 25 minutes and never saw our waitress at all. The people at the table next to us said they had to wait at least 30 minutes to place their order - keep in mind....this wasnt really prime lunch or dinner time either. So, we left and went to our favorite downtown restaurant where we were seated immediately and warmly welcomed by the manager, our waitress, and another waitress who just wanted to visit. Thats how downtown local dining should be done.

I am so disappointed in this restaurant food now. It used to be very good! I dont know what type of kitchen manager there is, but there seems to be little oversight. My burger came out with top of bread burned. It was to have pickles and onion, it did not. The meat was bland, there were hard pieces of lettuce. I have to say fries were good. Waitress brought out cocktail napkins instead of dinner napkins. My visit prior to this one was for breakfast and my breakfast was missing a food item that was suppose to be included (they were out of it completely). Food was not prepared as well. So, Im done!!

1 person ordered Seafood gumbo and there was no seafood, just chicken and sausage. Another person ordered the same thing and only had 2 pieces of shrimp. Both said it wasnt that great. I got the buffalo chicken wrap and it wasnt good either. Sprite was watered down and the sweet tea was sweet. Probably wont eat here again.

Let me say first I understand the world we live in right now and people who don t want to work. I will say that 50 minutes into our wait we finally got our drinks, they had no BudLight or MichUltra, I will also say our waitress was super apologetic and awesome. We gave her a good tip because well! Thank you for showing up to work and understanding. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else .
