Waffle House in Huntsville

What Waffle House in the nation refuses to seat people after 8 pm on a weekend!??? To go only ? That defeats the whole entire purpose of Waffle House. Employees were rude about it too. Not getting my money anymore.

Food as expected. Employees friendly and professional. Update: Food as expected, employees friendly and professional, again. However, it was extremely cold in the dining area. I am typically reasonably comfortable while my companion is cold while eating here, but today, not only was my companion cold, but I was freezing! Update: Still unreasonably COLD! Everything else was good. Update: New cook, timing was off. We received our sausage patties. About 5 minutes later, my companion received their hashbrowns (all they ordered), and about 5 minutes after that, I received my eggs, hashbrowns, and toast. Update for 10/28/24: Great food! Great service!

The waitress was very pleasant and food was hot and fresh.

The best WH we ve been to in HSV!! Best cheese omelet - everything was great!

Not open 24 hours inside!! Closed inside which is what actually matters . At 11pm they said they were doing takeout and we left. You can get delivery anywhere nowadays so this place is essentially closed when you need/want it.

Recently stopped late night dining. Very disappointed in this decision. Only reason to eat Awful House is late night. Very bad decision to stop serving in restaurant dining. Very disappointed .

only two people working the late night shift so they had no choice but to do window service. i blame waffle house as a corp, not the workers. pay your employees better and you might be able to have more on staff

we kill 3 Cockroaches on the table and we see more of them in the wall

Roaches throughout building! (health department found dead roaches in a pickle jar, and live roaches running throughout the building during week of August 16, 2024 AND somehow allowed Waffle House to stay open... crazy!

Where else in Huntsville can you get pickled roaches ????

Food was good... You cant mess up an All Star Breakfast! The service at this location is consistently 3-stars. Not great, not terrible.

They are very kind, very cute

We sat in the bar stools, and the woman washing dishes threw some plates in the sink. The dish water splashed on us and the food. She asked if it splashed us, we said yes, and she continued to wash dishes. I told our waitress, and she proceeded to make some more orders, then walked away for 10 min. We stayed because we thought they were remaking our food, and they were, in fact, not. Too much inaction and attitude to be wearing a shirt that denotes fast & friendly service.

This is my preferred local Waffle House staff is Chill environment relaxed and urrybody competent. #trustory adding to my review from probably 2 or more years ago just went back last night.. All new staff but EXACT SAME VIBE! Super chill late night staff and very competent. However the hiring process goes at that store they need to bottle it and sell it, Well done guys. Food cooked to perfection also AND the cook remembered my order from the only other time Ive been in this location to eat in at least 2 years. I was impressed to say the least hence this addition to my original review from way back when...way back when they were already awesome and evidently still the case

I got hash browns and they were supposed to be covered . There was ONE square piece of cheese in the middle. I was only able to eat 1/3 of them because without cheese the hash browns were dry.

Good food, correct order and services

The staff on at night was very friendly. My only problem with this Waffle House is they do not allow need to take out orders. Other than that the food is good and the people friendly. They do need to hire more employees because from what I saw.there they were very short staffed.

pitiful in every category

Did not end up eating here because a roach crawled up onto the table right after we ordered. Servers response to us saying we were leaving because of this was just a blank look of soul crushing defeat. Sad to see this location end up this way.

Rude staff who were clearly not interested in anything pertaining to food service

Make sure that they put the syrup in your utensils in the bag because they never put the syrup but overall fun good place to eat

My favorite Waffle house is the one on Pratt Ave bcuz I used to live very close to that one & before it was open, a Sonic was there, Ive never been crazy about Sonic.

First time ever eating at Waffle House. Had the All Star breakfast and the fast was mediocre at best. Never got a refill on coffee. Not worth the price and Ill never eat at WH again.

People need to be more understanding and less immature and rude to the staff I witnessed someone yesterday morning flip out on someone over them not having chili I ve worked in the restaurant industry it s kinda sad how customers treat these people like animals. They were clearly understaffed and i know it s because of the inclement weather. If you re gonna come into a restaurant that s full of people and bark orders at the people that make your food you need to just stay home. Most of y all need to get over yourself in the review section by the way 9/10 you re the problem not the store.

Its Waffle house, so you know what to expect. Our server had southern charm and a great sense of humor. She made us feel welcome and important. I hadnt been to a Waffle House in years, and this visit made me wish I went more often. It was the perfect end to a run on Monte Sano.

Thank you to the 3 gentleman who were working on Christmas Eve. Several families came in at the same time and they were hustling. Our food was great, and the service was friendly even though they were clearly swamped. We enjoyed our meal and appreciate their hard work and excellent customer service!

We politely asked the staff to clean a table for us. The pregnant staff lady asked us to wait. We waited patiently for 15+ minutes & watched them clean other tables while ignoring the one we wanted to sit at. We asked them to clean the table again & the male cook turned to us & said that at this point the table will never get cleaned, so we can just go to a different store. We were not rude at all, so his response was completely uncalled for & unprofessional. We left, because we wouldn t want him preparing our food with such a terrible attitude. We will not be back. I honestly think they treated is this way, because we re Black. I ll be contacting corporate tomorrow, because this must be addressed.

Additional update... not impressed this time. Took a long time to get our food then the eggs were over cooked and the hashbrowns were under cooked. I really need to stop eating here. Update... this time it was better. Still not the best service but the food was good and it was fast. First I love Wafle house, but me and my wife walked in and no one greeted us, we sat down and waited but no one came to see us or brought us coffee. So we went to another wafle house. This was the second time we tried to eat there and it will be the last.

We went to waffle house this morning and ordered an all star breakfast and the sausage toaster on Texas toast with hash browns add onions and we also paid for extra bacon on the all star and we ordered another waffle we didnt receive any bacon at all and no waffle not only did we pay for our food and extra we didnt even get what we paid for and we left a nice tip I get up and call about my order and they wont even answer the phone so make sure you check your food before leaving if you are getting it to go ....

bruh, its a waffle house. you cant rate it the same way youd rate a state park or a family owned restaurant. you have to rate it for what it is and the quality of service you receive. and for this one? the saff is always really nice and makes it feel homey. the food is always good. Ive always had better service here than I do in most places, to be honest.

Great place for breakfast

The restaurant was clean and my service was good. My complaint is that I ordered my food to go but when I got home to and sat down to eat I found that my WAFFLE WAS NOT DONE! I had to put it in my toaster oven to complete the cooking process. The worse you can do is serve undercooked food especially when the item references what the restaurant is known for. Please do better

Adrienne rocks. She was the only server in today, and she managed to do everything top-notch and keep everyone happy. The cook is awesome, too. Good gob guys!

Me and my wife have developed a habit of getting to go breakfast from here on the weekends, even when were groggy and disoriented from waking up they still manage to take down our orders and never mess them up. Courtney (again, were usually half asleep so I hope I remembered her name right lol) is always on point and probably remembers what were going to order better than we do lol.

They are a true old style diner and have excellent classic diner food. I like to eat at the counter to watch the short order cooks skills, they are the original open kitchen concept. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and welcoming. Good prices and good classic foods.

Ive had bad experiences, but the cooks/expediter were top-notch food was fresh fast and really good. I have complaints for the sat morning cooks!

I like to go to the Waffle House when I dont care about how I look or what I am wearing. The food can be very tasty, especially the hashbrowns, but I always feel I am not eating healthily. Most everything is fried, and, I suspect, not in a particularly healthy oil. I have to say that I have met some interesting, strange, and eccentric people at Waffle House; for me, a plus.

Be consistent with Texas cheese steak sandwiches. Steak should be sliced. I have been eating these sandwiches for years. Training.

My new secret obsession because the FRIENDLIEST WAFFLE HOUSE EVER. Hot food served . Tip the workers, it s deserving! I actually THANKED THEM. Cheesesteak Bowl, coffee and Blueberry Waffle. Worth every dollar it cost me!

This WH was busy at lunch and the waitress was kind enough to clean a booth for my friend and me. Food was good. Mixed it up and got a bowl of chili and a grilled cheese. Really a good combo. I saw there seemed to be someone kind of in charge and things seemed to run smoothly.

I live in 5 points and I have been frequenting this location for 3 plus years. Jessie is a pretty decent server. Tonight at 1:27am (prime time for waffle house on a Saturday night) Jesse had to inform me that they are no longer providing to go orders during the rush in I came inside I sat at the bar for 6 minutes before Jesse was able to greet me because he was the only server, and he was so busy. none of the 3 cooks on the line even acknowledged me. Even though i watched one of them prop up on the counter to take a breather. Jesse informed me that due to new changes that they cannot place to go orders at this time. I have worked in the service industry for 10+ years. Whoever is running this place should really show up every once in a blue moon. Ive been sitting in the Krystal drive thru for 20 minutes now all because waffle house couldnt take my to go order

Weve been coming to this Waffle house for the last 7 years for breakfast and a midnight dinner after being downtown. The service is always great, and the food comes out pretty fast. Their Allstar special is our favorite.

My best friend and I always get the two egg breakfast, eggs scrambled, with two extra eggs, extra bacon, light , and grits for me, hash browns for him. The service is always really good, and while they dont always get the stuff completely right, (sometimes they miss something) I still go back cuz Im not that picky. Overall an awesome place to get food, and Ive shown up at 2 am before, and the service and food is still awesome.

I always order the cheesesteak omelet; it does not come with onions. Train your cooks !

This place checked the block after going out. It wasnt too crowded and the food came out fast.

Waffle House need to do better! They need Pest Control in there at least once a month. I should not be seeing a roach crawling and than a mouse coming from under the stove where they make the waffles. I will no longer get food from here.

Waited for 15 minutes without service. There were two employees working, and 14 guests in the building. We were not acknowledged, as someone who works in food service that was a manageable amount of guests in the restaurant. Another table got up to get their own silverware from behind the counter and another table who tried to get someone s attention and instead got their bill. Disappointing

Food was dry and didnt taste good. It was extremely cold in there. We used to go to this waffle house before and it was good but here lately it ls not good. Wish they would turn the temperature up. My grandson was freezing when we left.

I didnt go home for thanksgiving and grossly miscalculated what might be open. I pulled up and it s a very clean and nice Waffle House and more importantly the people working thanksgiving night were so kind. I was confused on ordering online and they helped me and were so kind. Love eating here late at night when most other restaurants are closed. Food always hits the spot. It would be nice to see it renovated the building is old and outdated. I feel it would make customers more comfortable while enjoying their meals.

The employees are great people! They are so kind and attentive. The food is also pretty dang good for a Waffle House. The atmosphere is always uplifting and the employees are very accommodating!

Disappointing for even Waffle House standards. Waffle House is hands down my favorite breakfast restaurant. Understandably, you have to lower your expectations when eating at WH. Well to eat at this location you have to lower them considerably more. Probably the worst WH experience I ve had. Our normal location is being remodelled so we tried this one. Won t be back.

August 17th went to lunch with my daughter at 2:30 pm walked in the door and sat down and waited. Staff did not speak a word and we waited and waited there was only one other person in the restaurant no reason to ignore us. I would have given no stars if I had the option, customer service was awful.

Good food, served quick and correctly, and nice staff. Place has improved a lot since the last time I was there. I will go back soon.

Issa waffle house

The food was subpar, and the restaurant filthy. I ordered a hash brown bowl. Obviously the star of the show in a hash brown bowl is the hash browns, so they need to be cooked to perfection. Mine were poorly cooked. Instead of being crispy and crunchy, the hash browns were greasy and soft on the outer layer, and mushy on the potatoes inside. The added cheese was over-cooked, and just absorbed into the potatoes to create a poor tasting mess. In restaurants, cleanliness is next to godliness. At this Waffle House, the floors are filthy. If the floors cant be kept clean, is the kitchen kept clean? Not in my opinion. As a positive, my server was friendly and attentive. The cost of the food would have been reasonable if the hash brown bowl had been edible.

This Waffle House is beyond the worst location! They have repeatedly told customers you have to dine in and can not order out .WHY???? The staff makes up excuses as to why you can not place a Togo order and have to dine in. Last week, they were out of Togo containers this week was another excuse .this location, staff, and management is pathetic!!!

They always are on point with my orders no matter when I come in. The staff on the late night shift is fantastic!

Sausage didnt come until I had eaten all but 4 bites of my meal. The server had to ask for them 3 times. The toast was very poorly buttered, a little blob in the middle & the reminder was dry. And Im certain it was margarine.

The Red Head cashier was rather rude. She tended to all the white men around me even though they were after me then she put me on hold several times during our interaction i did not appreciate that at all.

Very small. So what would normally be an average size crowd was overcrowded. Questionable neighborhood. We did not stay. We went down the road to another broken egg which was fabulous.

By the time your food gets to your table its already cold. I understand they dont want people staying long but when the windows are fogged on the inside, its way too cold to enjoy your food. Too cold to enjoy the friends or family you met to enjoy a meal with.

Neighborhood diner. Many people walk there. Always good food and coffee.
