300 Pelham Ave SW a1, Huntsville, AL 35801, United States
At Another Broken Egg Cafe of Huntsville Pelham Ave, our passion is to create exceptional southern-inspired entrees for breakfast, brunch, and lunch as well as hand-crafted cocktails that are each "craveably" delicious and made with an artisanal flair!
I personally love another broken egg. Our server Parker was amazing! I got the traditional day starter and the eggs were runny, bacon was burnt and I had hair in my potatoes. I ate 4 potatoes & found some hair in my food. When I spoke with the manager, all she could offer me was some more potatoes. Absolutely not because there could be more hair in my food!! The manager never apologized, couldnt even give me a discount because the “potatoes are complimentary”. I didn’t want a refund or my food comped, I at least wanted a discount for having hair in my food. I will never eat here again, the food was GROSS
My last two visits here within the last six months here have been underwhelming, to say the least. This used to be one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots, but that's steadily deteriorating. During today's visit, the food itself (and my waitress*) left a lot to be desired. The shrimp & grits were lukewarm/cold and unseasoned. Tiramasu french toast tasted okay, but I never received my syrup. Bacon was good but cold, along with the scrambled eggs. It took a while to receive my spike coffee, and when I did, it was not prepared as advertised on the menu, and missing a couple of ingredients so I sent it back and asked for the waitress to take it off the ticket since we was close to leaving. Our waitress was kind, but the poor girl seemed very anxious, and we felt very rushed. I won't be dealing with this location again anytime soon.
Today I had the pleasure of being served by Stephen. He is by far the best server I’ve ever experienced and I eat out a lot! He was welcoming, positive, knowledgeable and just a great person to chat with. I ordered the crab cake Benedict. It wasn’t as flavorful as I’d hoped but the customer service eliminated that minor detail from my mind. My Bloody Mary was delicious so I’d definitely recommend that! I would definitely recommend this location along with patio seating and Stephen as your server!
This place was delicious. Lots of choices. The gravy was awesome. It has lots of brunch alcohol drinks. A cool atmosphere but it can be a little loud. Inside and outside seating.
"SUPERB!" ... "FANTASTIC!" This review is several months overdue, but I still remember the fantastic culinary experience that I had at Another Broken Egg months ago. Me and guests of mine have dined at two different Huntsville locations of Another Broken Egg on several occasions and had VERY POSITIVE experiences. However, this review is focused on "the downtown location in particular." During our visit (around 9:00 am., on Wednesday, September 21, 2023), we experienced superior service in every way. The attentiveness of our server, the presentation of the meal, the taste, the ambience of the establishment, etc., were just top notch. Just AWESOME! Compliments to the ENTIRE team at Another Broken Egg in Huntsville, Alabama. 👏 👏 Sincerely, G. Curtis Wednesday, June 12, 2024
The pancakes were delicious, they weren't light and fluffy but they weren't thick either. They were somewhere in between. The waffles were crispy on the outside but tender on the inside the way a waffle should be. The service was on point and the atmosphere was so inviting. I've visited this cafe in different states and they never disappoint.
It was an upscale menu but prices very affordable. Lots of delicious choices. Husband had the shrimp and grits which I'm not a fan of but they tasted amazing. Several choices on eggs benedict. Grandson had the hash brown eggs benedict and they were delicious as well. Clearly I was sampling everybody's food.
Excellent breakfast and even better service! Brittany was so sweet and constantly checked on me. I will definitely return to this location in future. Update 4 years later: it’s still good. Ordered the gluten free Bourbon pancakes. My service was still excellent! I sat at the bar and Brittany (different Brittany) took really good care of me. Still my go-to breakfast spot for the best gluten free options.
Great Food!
Our favorite
Hadn t taken the family to a post church brunch in a while. Stopped here, excited that there was no wait for a table. The waitress shared with us the issues that the plating person had in his home life and how customers have been upset all day. Waited almost an hour just to get cold food. At least the manager didn t charge us. Walked across the street to taco mama. Disappointing all around!
This was my first time coming here, and I had a very pleasant experience. The food, coffee, and service was very good. The only downside was that my group was put in a corner booth by the rear register when there were other tables open nearby. Not a deal breaker by any means, but not ideal for a first time visit.
Miss Linda was the sweetest ever! The restaurant was short a bartender and a few servers, and she did her best to make sure everyone was attended to. Great service !
Veterans Day: Enjoyed brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe. The meal was delicious, and the complimentary breakfast was great. The establishment was clean, and the staff was friendly. The manager, Spencer, ensured our meal was satisfactory and offered suggestions for improvement. Definitely a place to return. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Shrimp/Grits were fabulous!
Great service and delicious food! Try the bourbon pancakes!!!
Second time in a week took the wife up to see what I was bragging about. Had the same power bowl as I had in Meridian Alabama the only this was they didnt put the biscuit on top and smothered it gravy they put the biscuit on the side and not as much gravy. . Not as good as Meridian Alabama put that biscuit on top split open and smothered it with gravy.
Eggs Benedict on crab cakes was to die for! Good coffee, excellent service and a very well laid out restaurant. Will be back.
Was pretty good spot may to have breakfast.
Very good food. Portion size is ok, but it is pricey. We had shrimp and grits, tiramasu french toast, Mediterranean omelet, and kids pancakes. Everything tasted really good. Would recommend/ will return
The food is delicious.
Staff is super friendly and willing to help make your experience better. Food is great and well priced, I usually leave with leftovers. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options and are willing to leave the meat off of lots of the other nonvegetarian dishes.
Extremely upset. Took my family here for breakfast and after waiting to be seated, we waited an HOUR for our food to come out only for it to be ICE COLD. Wasnt given silverware, napkins, coffee creamer NOTHING! Waitress never refilled coffee, when brought to staffs attention they acted extremely rude and sarcastic didnt offer any help. We were made to pay the full bill even though we didnt eat!!!!!!!! Never again and Ill tell everyone I know not to come here! Scam! Garbage!
Waited 45 minutes to be served with meal. Not a busy day. Very few customers on a Monday. Our server was occupied with manager on training to cash out customers.
Great visit! Food was awesome. The servers especially 1 can make a great half/ half tea! The best since relocating to Alabama. Will return
Was seated and after 17 minutes I still had not had a single server come to my table for drinks. I had to order my food and drinks at the same time and believe it or not the food came first. My drink arrived 8 minutes after the food. Half way done eating and I got a drink finally. I would not recommend if you are in a hurry they are very slow service even when they were slow.
Waited more than 30 minutes to be seated even though there were at least 10 empty tables inside and only 1 group seated on the patio. We were told they were getting a table ready, but that did not seem to be the case. We eventually left to find a restaurant that was actually seating customers.
Sunday brunch my first time visiting this establishment, it didnt disappoint. The menu was astonishing everywhere was some type of gourmet food . Yes, it was noises as a high school cafeteria, but once the food arrived, I didnt notice anything except the amazing presentation on my plate. Arrived early, expected to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. The ordering process is quick. Between the eggs, Benedict and the blue berries pancakes with goat cheese toppings and warm syrup.. couldnt finish everything . Parking is on the streets and adjacent to the public parking lot. Thats the only handicap parking available. Im returning on the weekdays. Wheelchair accessibility: Not really
Great service and exceptional food! Guaranteed to return, as one glance at the menu left me wishing I had a large enough stomach to try one of everything. The coffee was delectable, cinnamon roll french toast was dreamy and the two spiked brunch drinks my wife and I shared were delicious.
Worst server Ive encountered in a long time. The food was horrible, sausage had a strange taste eggs ice cold I paid the bill and left a tip. I just will not be visiting ABEC again.
My husband loved the city grits.
Walked 20 minutes to the restaurant and waited about 15 minutes after being seated to receive water. The hostess came over to apologize and brought water. We attempted to give her our drink order but she informed us the waiter would be over soon. After she brought the waters, the bartender came over and took our other drink orders. Almost 15 minutes later, we still didn t have our drinks or breakfast order taken. A total of 30 minutes waisted As a result, we were unable to wait any longer and left the restaurant. During the time we waited, another couple walked in and received their water and coffee and had their order taken before us The restaurant was almost empty, so this experience was unacceptable. The hostess or manager should evenly distribute tables and monitor progress, so if the wait staff are busy the customer is not the one suffering and waiting. It is not our responsibility to continue flagging down staff and bringing attention to an issue when we should enjoy our time there. When it becomes my issue, then you no longer deserve my business. We will not be back.
Creative spin on classic dishes. Excellent coffee. Attentive staff. For a memorable breakfast or lunch, this is the place!
In Huntsville for the weekend. Found this gem Sunday morning. I had the Mandi Gras Omelette and the wife had the veggie omelette. Both were top notch. Food and service were 5 stars.
From the moment we walk the gentleman got us a table right away and the server Stephen S outstanding and we never had a good experience like this one very attend and he should be employee of the month and there should be more people like him. And we are going to come back again for sure and we didnt even wait that long for the for either and the food was delicious. And if I could I would give him more then a 5 start because he was very nice and humble and whats so funny is that when we took a picture my son didnt even cry its funny because he crys whit anyone who carry him. Thank you so much Stephen for your great and amazing service and may God continue to bless you more and more.
The first server wasn t a good server, so request a new server and everything was great after that. Great food for the price. Everyone had a different dish and they were all delicious. Kid-friendliness: A good selection for the children menu.
First time here. Average food, average service. If you come with someone, sit close because of the lunchroom noise level. What really chafes is the greedflation factored into their soda selection. $3.79 for a soda? What is this, an airport? Just get the water, and go to Waffle House next time. Our first time will be our last time.
We as Nurse at HH we need some power food for the next shift and that where go, the server was great and food is awesome. It is family place after church place for good food cooked like moma would cook. This is the place. Vegetarian options: If it not really how you want it on the menu they fix it just like you like it. Parking: Just small cafe on the local street that s what gives it hometown appeal. Huntsville Alabama has a lot to offer and growing to please our new neighbors. Come on over to Alabama, we will treat you so many ways , you will have to like one of them. Kid-friendliness: This is a family cafe that you just feel relaxed when you come in the door. Can t go wrong. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is accessibity to get in pull right up at the curb, get them out and park your car at near by parking area.
Another broken egg doesnt care about its employees. They drag their feet to pay employees and a manager there named Nathan told my husband he is just looking for a hand out bc he wants his CHECK.
Amazing food, cocktails and service. Were new to the area and were excited to try this place based off recommendation. It did not disappoint and we cant wait to bring our visitors here.
Went here at 10. Sat for 20 mins when there were plenty of tables and no one behind us waiting. Then sat for another 1 after placing our order just for it to be lost. Asked if I wanted to place my order again for it go through. Just not worth my time. Some people actually have places to be on Saturdays. Not everyone has time to get their mamosa and do nothing on a Saturday. Ill go to the one in Madison or Jones Valley, IF I even eat at the chain again. Also, I generally dont review places good or bad. But this was just inexcusable when they were not at all busy. No excuses for anything anymore other than bad management and people not caring anymore.
Parking: Usually cam get validated parking. Parking is in a Publix owned lot. Food
The food is absolutely delicious.
Parking: 2nd floor free for local eateries. 1st floor reserved for grocery store customers Food
Very busy, Kinda right, But the food made up for the wait!!! Delicious Ill be back.
Cute place but I think it s a little pricey for what it is.
Fantastic service. Very good food.
The blueberry Mimosa was everything but the food wasn t all that good! Our waitress was nice! Parking: Had to park across the road
Rather expensive and just okay. Usually really crowded.
Lillyan was awesome!!!! She recommended lobster and cream cheese omelet. Perfect brunch !!!
Prices are a bit high
Great laid back cafe. Great drinks.
Our waiter was amazing and engaging. Made our early Mothers day celebration awesome.
Amazing food and a very friendly staff. If it wasnt located 90 min away, Id be there on a weakly basis.
T was our server and he was amazing!!!!!! Our group was well taken care of. He was sooo polite!! Thanks for an amazing brunch with the ladies! Get the Apple Fritter waffles! You won t be disappointed!!!!
I had so much fun hanging out with friends and eating here.
Atmosphere is always amazing. Clean, wait staff is friendly, food is wonderful, drinks are on point!!
Kayle was an amazing server, food was great will be coming back!
Kaylee was an amazing server! Best service ever!!
I had an amazing experience! My server Kayle was amazing!! She was very helpful and gave excellent advice. I got the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. The s mores cold brew is a MUST (I wish it wasn t seasonal). I will definitely be coming back to this location! Parking: The parking garage across the street says the first level is for Publix, but that the second and third levels are for the other places. The sign says that the restaurants and stores will validate your parking to make it free parking. A lot of the parking on the street is 2-hour parking.
Kayle was on top of it! She was timely and kind. Will def be going back and hope to get her section!
Very long wait. And the food took a while to come out as well. Our server was not particularly friendly or interested in our experience. Wont be back.
I cant wait to find another. Yum yum. Food
My son and I came here while my husband was in the hospital. And it was really good and service was great
The supreme omelette was delicious. The hostess, waitress and bartender Timothy were pleasant humans.
Freddy is a great server!!!
Fredy Thank you for going above and beyond we had a great experience.
Dietary restrictions: There were gluten free alternatives and food options. Food
Freddy was a great server, food was great, would definitely go back.
Fredy was so great as our server.
Freddy s was awesome
I ve eaten here more than any other place in Huntsville because it s the only restaurant that consistently, without fail, delivers a level of quality that matches or exceeds what I m able to make at home. I have never had a bad experience with the staff, but Stephen S did an exceptional job today. My go-to is normally the hash brown Benedict s, but on a cut I like that they have leaner options which I tried today but forgot the name of. Tasted great though for an egg white omelette.
The food was great. Our server Fredy was attentive and helpful. Would definitely come back next time we are in town. Dietary restrictions: Was able to sub things as needed and had lots of options- there are some up charges for subs. Parking: There is a small parking lot next to it, but there is a free parking garage at the Publix. The first floor is for Publix only, but you can park for free on the 2nd or 3rd level for the restaurant.
Fredy is the best! Great breakfast!
Food and service was fantastic!!
McKenna was the best! She s so attentive & friendly. Our food was the BEST!
McKenna was a great server! Parking: No free parking available in their lot; had to park on the street. Food : 5/5 |
We came yesterday and it was great. Both hostesses were great and got us through in less than the time expected to wait. When we got to our table, Maria was just as good. Very knowledgeable about the drinks we were asking about as well as the seasonal shrimp Benedict. I didnt want anything spicy. It was but not overwhelming like others. It was overall a fantastic time, food, and service on all ends. Very filling too. Wonderful for our first time at this location
Freddy was our server and he was attentive, polite and funny. We enjoyed our meal.
Excellent food. Fredy was excellent server.
The crab cakes NEVER disappoint!
It s better to eat in there than to get it go go.
Fredy was great!
Greedy wa awesome!
This is my 3rd time to visit, but my first at this location. I ordered online for pickup around 12:30. The online process was smooth and uneventful. I ordered a traditional egg breakfast with a side of french toast. They have some of the best french toast. I picked up the order and came back to work. when I opened the food, my dreams of savoring the french toast were crushed. It was burned! When I picked the order up, the establishment was not busy at all. I do not think that I will be ordering take-out again.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Great Eggs Benedict, eggs were perfectly poached. (Not at all like the Madison location that serves hard boiled eggs for poached eggs.) Food : 5/5
We had our lunch today and Freddy did and outstanding job. He was very helpful, knew the menu and recommended new dishes to try and we loved them. Definitely will be coming back to see Freddy soon!! Kid-friendliness: Freddy and the rest of the staff were very kind to our kids.
Freddy did a great job. He is very friendly and helpfull with the menu for my first visit. Will be coming back
I love this another broken egg..in jones valley..I was under the impression this would be the same. I was wrong. Cold food that has started to gel with three people in the restaurant at 7 am..not acceptable. What a waste.
Our waiter was a male named Fred, and he did a wonderful job for my family. He was polite, attentive and quick, plus he checked on us regularly to make sure we that we had everything that we needed. We truly appreciate this type our service, especially in todays environment. Great job, Fred! Oh yeah, this is the restaurant near Huntsville hospital.
Ate here at this location on a Saturday morning during a work visit! The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was welcoming! Our waitress was extremely helpful and kind a bit rushed with ordering but overall she was great! Our ordera consist of shrimp and grits, and lemon pound cake French Toast which was absolutely delicious (seasonal dish) so hurry in and grab your favorite French toast as they had several different orbital kinds of French toast to select from on the menu! Looking for a great breakfast / lunch location, this is the place to visit if in Huntsville, AL.
Outstanding memosas, brunch, and food. Some of the best home style potatoes Ive ever had.
Maria was our server and she was the best!! She went above and beyond!! She was very attentive and sweet! Gonna ask for her the next time I go! Food : 5/5
Delicious food.
Wait time was under estimated.
Actual wait times were a bit longer than the estimated wait time. Great service.
Freaking amazing!
It was great
Service is usually great, food is pretty good too
Or server was amazing
Must to go for breakfast in Huntsville, AL
Tim. My server was a true professional. Very helpful friendly and polite. 5 stars Google Reviews guide ..
If you are Kosher. Not the choice place to go. Otherwise pretty good.
It can get very busy on weekend. I hit it just right today not to busy. Food was great, waitress was very good.
Saturday morning take out breakfast was delicious and filling. Quick and friendly service too. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I got the mixed berry waffle with scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausage. $15.79 before tip.
Wow. Just wow!
Was able to have a great moment with my baby sister
good, but not sure how breakfast by myself ended up costing $80 I had to dig up the reciept. wow. food was ok.
Very good food and service. The restaurant was crowded, but our server was amazing Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with a kids menu
Good service, delicious breakfast, and excellent drinks. Will be back
We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast today. Delicious food and a fun, creative menu.
Its really good, but expensive for what it is.
Great service as always. Timothy is great!
First time experience: We showed up and put our name in to be seated. Was told it would be a 10 minute wait for an outside table. They gave our outside table to someone that came in after us with no reservations. The person at the entrance acted like they didnt want to seat us because they seated at least 2 other parties while we stood right there in the waiting area. Got syrup all over my credit card after I paid. Definitely a weird experience. Not coming back to this location at least. Parking: Park in the 2nd floor of the parking garage Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly
Hosts were snappy and rude. They seemed unable to communicate where and when to sit us because they changed their minds multiple times. The food was amazing - pricey but worth it in both quantity and quality. Our server was lovely and patient as well as sweet. Overall a wonderful experience just wished the beginning half of our morning outing was more pleasant.
Had a wonderful brunch here. Amazing food and drinks.
Came in here prior to my flight and found a gem. Parking was cool right across the street is a whole parking lot. Place was packed and guess what they got me right in at the bar. I was on some sweet tooth so I got the cookie dough waffle because it sounded interesting. Odd combination that actually worked out. Now the best part other than the food was the customer service the bartender behind the bar was so on point it was ridiculous. Placed was packed and he attended to every person at the bar.
We met for lunch with family. We decided to sit on the patio as the weather was nice. We ordered a pitcher of mimosas.Four water was brought to the table where i wore all of them in my lap. Not a single manager came out to address the issue nor see if we were okay. The icing on the cake was we said two separate checks. he gave us all separate checks. we place which two go together with the cards in two separate books and he runs the wrong card for the wrong bill. This was our first visit.
Understaffed on a Saturday morning. Open, empty tables while were waiting to be seated. Staff went through a big effort to re-arrange a couple tables to fit 9 chairs... for a party of 7. Table smelled like mildew (rag probably needed cleaning). Slow kitchen turned brunch into lunch.
Omelets are average at best but the prices are a bit high
Hair and plastic in my food. Took way too long to get served, get the bill, and get help for the unwarranted uneatable things in my food.
Very relaxing and quiet
I like the options.
Great brunch spot in the hospital area of Huntsville. I had Honey Lemon Cream Cheese Blueberry French Toast with Bacon and Eggs. My husband had Biscuits and Gravy with Sausage, Eggs and Grits. Both meals were very good!! More than enough food. Parking: We parked in the Publix parking garage on the 2nd floor.
Always busy with some time good customer service. Kid-friendliness: Kids enjoy being out. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, easy access
delicious breakfast I tried here!
The food was excellent. I recommend a bloody mary and one of the eggs benedicts. The size of the plates are big so if you want to share, its probably a good idea when you want to taste multiple menu items. The kids really enjoyed their meals as well and the service was great. Parking: There is a parking garage for the Publix, but we were able to find street parking around the corner.
Great breakfast menu. Has some pricey items, but over all reasonable. Love the Gran Mimosa.
Great meals.
Aint nothing like being back home and having breakfast with family.. especially when its on special occasions! Great Customer Service! Food is on point!
Food was excellent
Hands down the best food I have had in awhile. Fresh, tasty and came out hot. Our server was rhe bomb. Did not get his name but his longer red hair should help narrow it down. He was fantastic.
Your experience really depends on your server! I agree with another commenter. The sausage isnt really sausage. The not so sausage, cold eggs, and loud atmosphere (had to yell in order to hear each other) earned a downvote from hubby. Best Belgian waffles Ive ever had. The beignets were tasty, but I prefer them softer. The cream cheese in my chorizo omelet tasted strange and overpowering, so I scraped as much as I could out due to how tasty it was without it. Im not sure if it was a fluke or how its supposed to taste... Im definitely willing to give this place another try, but if it remains inconsistent, Ill find somewhere else.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, Brittney was exceptional, calm , professional and just a pleasant person to start our day with! Thank you
Very good.
Always enjoyable with good food.
The food and service at ABE has always been exceptional.
Very nice place for a brunch! The restaurant was pack so you might have a slight wait but the meal was well worth the wait! I would recommend this place for a try
Food and service has diminished since first visit
Great place
I highly recommend the home made sausage. Its delicious
A great place to eat breakfast
Ordered shrimp and grits but was literally a bowl full of grease.
Good omelets. Open for breakfast and lunch. Nice atmosphere. For some reason they always have deal or no deal on tv
Fantastic brunch spot. Food and service was great. We were seated right away as a party of 5. Drinks were refilled consistently & food arrived quickly. Portions are large, and I was able to take a box home to enjoy later. Service was great, from the hostess, to server, to the bussers.
Great food and service at a reasonable price. Shrimp Benedict was awesome.
Ive always held this restaurant name with high esteem, but this location was new to me, and the food that was ordered was less quality than usual. I was very disappointed. I will go to the other locations around Huntsville and Madison areas.
Broken Egg always has great options for breakfast. If breakfast is not your thing, enjoy the sandwiches it has available on the menu. We had Eggs with Grits which were delicious and Chilaquiles with Potatoes. Enjoy
I had the BLT sandwich with beignets. It was very delicious. The server Lillyan was very nice and made wonderful suggestions on what to eat and even additions to the sandwich. Always add an egg, its fantasticfantastic. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed.
Food is fantastic here. Pumpkin waffle is absolutely delicious. The cinnamon butter that comes with it was amazing. Side of bacon and eggs with city grits was a treat. Real bacon as opposed to the limp fast food bacon most restaurants use. My favorite item was the chicken and waffles. It comes with a hot honey sauce, which has a nice slow heat. If you order the chicken and waffles, do yourself a favor and ask for an additional cup of the hot honey. Youll be thankful you did. Our server was McKenna. Very friendly and attentive. Both restrooms were clean. Looking forward to eating here again. I definitely want to try the spinach omelet.
Food is great and so is the service
Much better than Another Broken Egg on 72W. More customer oriented, food plated more appealing.
OUTSTANDING place for a great breakfast
Everytime we have visited the Huntsville area this is a must. If you want to save some money and the waistline, most of the dishes have enough food to share. Note: pumpkin waffles were good, but if you have a sweet tooth like myself, youll definitely need the syrup.
Thanks to everyone for the best breakfast ever! The Tiramisu French Toast was absolutely amazing. You should consider putting it on the main menu. Ill be back for more.
Good fresh food. Not exactly my style of place to go, but on occasion I would like it.
Great food, drinks and service. Very impressed.
Food was Amazon but y all forgot my damn pickle with my burger that s the best part.
We eat here from time to time and have had good service and food. Well worth a try.
Both to all three locations: Madison, downtown, & Jones Valley and all are consistently great service and food.
I had Bourbon Pancakes, scrambled eggs, and chicken apple sausage. My sister had chicken and waffles. Yummy!
Poor order fulfillment ordered pickup and order was wrong so had to wait additional 20 minutes for one item that only takes 10 minutes max to cook!!!! Everyone s food was cold because of the additional wait. Will not go back. This was the third time online order was missing items.
Had the Mardis gras omelette. Tasty. Server was really attentive
Great place for Sunday brunch. Food was delicious and although they were quite busy, service was still excellent. Highly recommend joining the wait list online so you can expedite the wait time.
This visit I had the season short ribs served on Gouda grits. The meat was tender but could have been seasoned better. The grits were on point as usual.
HORRIBLE!!!!! My sister & I went to Another Broken Egg on Pelham to have breakfast & as soon as the hostess seated us, there was a press on fingernail on the floor right at our table, which I noticed right away, but didn t think too much of it because I assumed it was probably from a previous customer. WELL let me tell you how wrong I was!!! When my food came out, which I ordered the Cinnamon Roll French Toast w/bacon & eggs, what do I find in my eggs??? THE SAME EXACT PRESS ON FINGERNAIL LIKE THE ONE THAT WAS ON THE FLOOR!!! I immediately called our waiter, Freddie, over to inform him of this issue and he too was just as perplexed, but what got me is he instantly was looking at me and my sister hands as if the fingernail belonged to one of us! Mind you, neither of us are wearing fake nails. My sister literally had nothing on her nails & I had black gel polish on my natural nails. So once Freddie sees the nail doesn t belong to either of us, he took the plate and stated he would talk to his manager (Harley) about it. A few moments later, Harley & Freddie comes back to our table & Harley ask me was that my plate, which she had in hand & I told her it was. She then asked if I complained about a fingernail being in my food & rudely said I don t even know where it is dug through the eggs to find the fingernail & once she located it, she very defensively said that she checked & the fingernail didn t belong to anyone in her kitchen!!! So I instantly got upset because 1) how dare this woman not take any responsibility for a fingernail being in my food when it clearly came out of their kitchen and was served to me, which leads to my second point! 2) by Harley, the so called manager, not taking accountability for this mishap, led me to believe she was insinuating that either my sister or I placed the fingernail in my food, which really upset me to the fullest!!! Therefore I proceeded to loudly tell her that clearly it came from their kitchen that way because the SAME EXACT FINGERNAIL IS ON THE FLOOR RIGHT BY OUR TABLE!!!! Of course, she was caught off guard by me pointing out the same exact fingernail being on the floor so all she said was it s not ours, but I ll take care of it . AGAIN TAKING NO RESPONSIBILITY!!! Is this how management at Another Broken Egg treat situations such as this?! Blame the customers! I m truly baffled!! And to add insult to injury, she NEVER came back to address how she was going to rectify this issue & our waiter, Freddie, literally avoided our table until he had no other choice but to see if we needed anything else. Mind you we were sitting and watching how he serviced other customers but straight avoided us as if he didn t want to deal w/the issue at hand. Poor customer service at its finest! When he did finally come over, he asked if we needed anything else. Like really! I told him I would like for his manager to come back & discuss how she was planning to take care of this issue, but of courses she never came back out & instead sent Freddie to tell me that she would take my meal off the bill, but I still had to pay for my sister s meal. In my humblest opinion, I don t feel I should have had to pay for anything considering how the manager handled the situation (indirectly blaming me) & the waiter avoiding us. I get things like this are prone to happen, but not acknowledging that it was a mishap on their part definitely turned me off! Therefore, I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!!! Please see the pictures of said NASTY fingernails that HARLEY didn t want to claim
It was starting to get a little busy around 9:30AM when we arrived. Our server was Mauricio, who was attentive and helpful with the menu. He recommended the strawberry mimosa, which was an absolute hit. We got our food in a very timely manner. Great location. Will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere was great.
Timothy was the most professional bar tender ever. His knowledge of the menu and level of service exceeded expectations. I ll definitely be back.. maybe even tomorrow!
Food was decent diner-esque food - pancakes were pretty tasty and the bacon was great. Wife s potatoes were lacking in the seasoning department but the rest of the dish was good. Getting seated took quite some time but it seemed like it was just super busy so not the end of the world.
Always happy to go there, especially the Egg Benedict is recommended. Fair prices and nice staff.
Teddy waited on us today. She was fabulous. All orders came out perfectly and she was so kind and attentive! I am a diva with food and drink and she did a wonderful job waiting on our party of 9! Thank you for the great experiences
This is a great location in downtown. Very good breakfast and friendly staffs . Poached eggs were nicely done with green onion tops.
Great food and service by Teddy.
Food is bland but cooked well. Staff is friendly and the place is clean Food
I will preface this review by sharing how much I love brunch, and that I am spoiled to spectacular brunch spots back in the Denver, Colorado area. That said, there is a minimum quality bar that I expect even by local standards, and based on one single experience, this restaurant did not meet it. It s truly unfortunate, because this seems to be one of the most prominent local chain of brunch restaurants. The service was slow but adequate, which was fine for an off peak time on a Wednesday morning. Their coffee cups are very nice, and this location was large and inviting. The coffee and breads were just ok, the potatoes were old and dry, and the omelettes were bland and just odd in flavor and texture. I don t eat sausage, but my husband always gets an extra side of it (see photo) and he said it was the strangest and worst breakfast sausage he s ever had. This is the first time he has ever walked away without finishing breakfast, and for that reason I doubt I ll be trying another location to give this place a second chance anytime soon. If I do return, I ll be trying the pancakes, as I ve heard great things about them. If the competition happens to stumble upon this review, please please please build a First Watch, Original Pancake House, Snooze, La Peep, or even a Village Inn in North Alabama! Brunch should feel like a treat!
Great place for some breakfast or bunch. I had the chicken and waffles, tasty.
Great place for breakfast. Food is good and the service is great.
The food was delicious! They were busy of course and with me being alone, it did take a while for a spot at the bar to open up. The employee who were the bar was great too, just can t remember her name.
Food was excellent and great service.
Dined here Sunday 11/13/22. The food is bland and I unfortunately learned through cross contamination that Im allergic to shellfish. I dont eat shellfish, so I didnt know that I was allergic before eating here. I would have rather gotten food poisoning. My lips and chin have been swollen for the past 2 days and I have welts everywhere. Ive been having to take benadryl every 4 hours because Im so swollen and itchy. Ive now missed 2 unpaid days of work because this restaurant isnt careful with their preparation areas and allowed cross contamination to happen. Be careful if you know you have shellfish allergy and avoid eating at Another Broken Egg.
Food was delicious and portions were good! We are currently only dining out where outdoor seating is available. I would caution anyone doing this to avoid the tables out front and wait For the actual patio. Wait time for front tables was very long. All employees we encountered were friendly and helpful .this was our 1st visit and we will definitely try again
The lobster Benedict on the holiday menu is Chef s kiss! Our server was Cahlia at the bar and she was amazing! This is the best location in Huntsville. I recommend this location over all the other ones.
Amazing menu items & the food was amazing! Very busy but still had no wait and good service. Very cozy atmosphere and clean bathrooms. Definitely recommend!
Like the NOLA brunch feel! Where I get my egg fix!
