One of my go to and favorite places to eat in Huntsville. Vegetarian options: You pick your own food so youre in control of your choices vegetarian options you put on your own plate. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of healthy options to choose from. Parking: Parking is for a whole strip mall area, numerous spots to choose from. Kid-friendliness: Anyone of any age is welcome. Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible for anyone with a handicap requiring a wheelchair from the walk up, to getting into the door, all the way to the tables and buffet.

The owner was very rude when we didn t want to sit by the bathrooms. He made faces while talking to the waitress and pointing at us. We have been to this restaurant many times in the past but this was the last time. Food was also below average.

I like going to 88 Buffet. They always have a variety to choose from.

Chines want you to consume everything they do or make. But wen you have service to offer they don t consume or support you.. they consumer or support only their own people.. not good at all..

The restaurant was clean and it has a large selection for buffet. The atmosphere is nice, staff quick and friendly. The lo mein was subpar, and some of the chicken was pretty dry. It was my first time eating at 88 Buffet on Wednesday . The atmosphere was nice and workers are friendly. The waiters amd waitresses check on you making sure you have what you need. The food is delicious. I enjoyed eating with 2 of my daughters and one of their boyfriends. One of my daughters turned 24 today too.

I absolutely love 88 buffet.

Its a hit or miss here. The food is okay but affordable. Its honestly the last place in Huntsville for a safe buffet. All the other ones are either closed or very sketchy. It might be better to avoid the rush hour. (And after church hours on Sunday too!) Many food options here but their sushi, I think, is their main draw. Its affordable sushi. If you can afford to go to any other sushi restaurant than go there. This is for college student budget. If they raise their prices anymore then I dont think it would be worth it.

Stop in this restaurant for lunch. The restaurant was very clean and the buffet was very well stocked. They have a wide variety of food available at the buffet that ranges from Chinese food to more traditional American food, Seafood, salad bar, and dessert bar. I thought the price was very reasonable for all the food that was available.

Typical Chinese buffet with lots of options. Lunch time has been the best times.

The food is good. Tons of options. Anything from boiled seafood to sushi, Chinese fare to American items, appetizers to desserts. They keep the buffet loaded and clean and its a great option for quick lunches. The servers are always clearing plates, checking in for beverage refills, and bring the check in a timely fashion so you dont have to wait to go pay when youre sufficiently stuffed. Its a great option in the area.

This buffet has everything. It s huge. Food was fresh and it kept coming out. Place was clean but bathrooms could ve used more attention

Good variety of options. Food is fresh, go when they open for the freshest of everything. After that it will be sitting until refilled. Many options of main courses, desserts, soups, sushi and build your own bowl. Seating is quick, give them your drink order and youre off to fill your plate. Price is very reasonable. They also have ice cream. I would recommend, go at 11am when they open for the freshest choices.

Wasnt impressed at all. The teriyaki chicken had a burnt / charred taste. Other chicken options were chewy . And NO GENERAL TSOS!?!?

Fabulous Chinese buffet. Reminiscent of a Las Vegas buffet, but less crowded, cheaper and better food. The choices were a delight. So many! And even a build your own hibachi bar. This place does it disappoint. I will be back.

Great Chinese buffet! We were looking for something different while waiting on our truck to get repaired. The repair shop suggested this place and it did not disappoint! They had selections on the buffet that catered to my picky vegetarian tastes as well as those of my seafood loving wife.

Prices have a risen a bit in recent years, but its the same story for the entire industry. Its still a bargain for the quantity and quality of food. So many choices including sushi, hibachi, dessert, and a bunch of American items in addition to core Chinese offerings. My kids are big fans, and its pretty much half price for the 10-and-under crowd. Service to clear plates and refill drinks is frequent and polite.

We heard about this place from some locals. We accompanied our extended family for dinner on Friday night. This place was bursting at the seems, yet we were able to get a table for 6 real quick! Under 3 mins !! Great Service! Great food! Hibachi grill was out of the world delicious! Well be back on our next visit to Huntsville!! Booster chairs available. Handicapped parking a bit scares. Parking in itself is crazy, but it well worth the trouble bc of the food & service!!

Buffet is just alright. The best thing it offers is the sheer variety in food genres or types of food available. Vegetarian options: Vegetable hibachi is the best thing this restaurant has going. Parking: Very busy parking lot as it is in the dead center of a huge strip mall. It s in the 90 degree angle of the shopping mall, which makes for difficult parking when lunchtime. There are also about 20 other restaurants directly next to it in the strip mall. Kid-friendliness: There s a whole area that is pretty much for kids to choose things from but there s also like American fried food on the buffet. There s Chinese food on the buffet. There s American seafood dishes and cook to order hibachi vegetables and lots of desserts. It has a whole row dedicated to sweets and desserts of all types not just Asian.

The buffet is bananas. Absolutely had me swinging from the tree tops with all the choices.

Best buffet around, has bourbon chicken which is great.. but its always a little burnt so thats not as great. Fried rice is the typical yellow flavorless variety found in this region... Many sushi choices.

1st experience at a new Foodie place. It was really really good! They had just about everything and being from the Coast the crawfish was prepared with your fixings corn and potatoes and seasoned just right! The price was good! This place is huge on the inside! 1st trip to explore Huntsville and try the food out in a different location was a good choice! You owe to yourself to try this place out! Vegetarian options: If its doesnt have meat in it then its veggies. Parking: The parking lot is shared with the shopping center other businesses. The parking up closest to the front row are 1 hour parking only.

Thee outside of the store looks horrible it needs to be pressure washed expeditiously! The foyer stinks badly and needs upgrading immediately!! The plastic flowers in the seating areas need to be updated & or removed or cleaned!! The women s bathroom could use some serious disinfectants along with working paper towel dispensers, the toilets need to be thoroughly cleaned all around them ..I would hate to see the men s bathroom!!!!! And please clean your entrance windows!!!

I visited 88 Buffet with my girlfriend, two friends, and my goddaughter around 4 pm on a Friday, and we had a fantastic experience! The ambiance was welcoming, with a spacious dining area and a variety of seating options. As a seafood enthusiast, I was thrilled with their extensive selection. They had oysters, several types of shrimp including my favorite coconut shrimp and other delightful seafood items. The freshness and quality were top-notch, making it a seafood lover s paradise. I also tried the wonton soup. While it was good, it could have been more flavorful, but a sprinkle of green onion fixed that right up. The sesame chicken and General Tsos chicken were both amazing, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. However, the lo mein was a bit of a letdown, as it used regular pasta noodles instead of the traditional egg noodles. The hibachi station was a hit among our group, with the chef preparing the food right in front of us at the buffet station, adding a fun and interactive element to our meal. The sushi bar offered a wide range of options, all fresh and delicious. (Aside from 1 salmon dish) Service was prompt and friendly, with the staff regularly checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety of food available. It s definitely better than other buffets in the area. Overall, a wonderful dining experience that I highly recommend!

My family and I are there for lunch on 7/5/24, and that same evening we all became extremely sick. Nausea, throwing up, etc. I called the restaurant to inform them that we got some kind of food poisoning and they were very uncaring and unhelpful. I will definitely never eat there again.

Staff was friendly and everything was clean, but at $40 for two to dine it wasnt worth it with how bad the food was. Sure, theres plenty of variety, but all the meat was dry and a lot of the food was lukewarm.

Food is what youd expect from a buffet so its pretty average as far as the food go but the service sucked for me this time, service has been going down hill for years now but since my family seemed like an inconvenience, server never came by to top off drinks and when the server did come by it was to ask if I was done and gave me our check. Very disappointed but I really hope they can bounce back one day because this was my favorite buffet at one point in time

We always love coming here. With 3 picky kids it is usually difficult to find a place where they will all eat but 88 is perfect. We dont go super often because for 5 of us it gets a little expensive, but when we do go everything is always perfect! Lots of fruit options, salad, rice, sushi , teriyaki chicken, sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, pizza, fries, shrimp, ice cream, etc..You get the idea

It was definitely a Chinese buffet with ice cream, sushi and where they cook for you. I particularly like their hot and sour soup.

Update :: Hands down the best buffet in North Alabama! Great sushi! Offering a wonderful and fresh variety of Chinese, American and Japanese cuisine! My family and friends have been eating here for years. Its our go to buffet. Great staff. Clean restrooms. Clean, fully stocked and always fresh buffet tables no matter the time of day. These people care about their guests and it shows!

Yummy! Better quality then most Chinese buffets

This is not a place I would recommend to anyone ever for any reason but especially not for a Chinese cuisine. It is a nasty buffet style place that has the lowest and poorest quality of food and is nasty. It has food sitting dried out for hours under heat lamps and the place is really dark on the inside so that you cannot even see to eat.

Very good soup, sushi & hibachi! Can be very crowded at times, with lots of screaming kids lol, but the food & service is always good.

It is a very nice place, they serve you quickly and at every moment they offer you more water or soda depending on the case and the best thing is that you can eat as much as you want as many times as you want until you are full.

Buffet is really good. A lot to choose from. Also, there is a ton of different excellent restaurants right here, including Old Heidelberg. Also, excellent Asian grocery store right next door.

88 Buffet has always been a favorite for splurging for us. Recently it has become a local hangout for the homeless. Begging on the way in and out. This time I saw a homeless man using the bathroom like it was his personal hygiene room. I hate this for the restaurant. Attendance here has started to slow and there is no other reason to explain it besides nobody wants to go out to spend hard earned money and be harassed by the people who act like it s okay to do nothing but beg.

Have yet to try anything of their massive selection that wasnt good.

My daughter took me here yesterday. Very relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful food, thought I was soooo underdressed but it was so relaxing. Will definitely come back again. Service was great. Tipped 20%. Food was hot, fresh, never ran out of any item on the buffet due to staff constantly keeping a check on the items served.

Went by I got a quick meal at 88 Buffet with mom. As always its delicious as ever. You cant get any pressure food than that. You want to go up there and get it grilled up you can or just to get a ride to have off the buffet its just as good everything is good and fresh. One of the best places to go eat and have some. I promise.

Catherine at 88 buffet was extremely rude. She also whenever we were eating continue to push the tip into my bag after I tried giving her one respectfully. she then proceeded to beg my friend for a tip after the terrible service that we received. I should ve never even tipped her the 34 since I did. The food was an overall great experience, but the service was awful. will never be going back unless owners change. also i couldn t understand what she was saying. english should be a first language in EVERY AMERICA.

I like the food, for a buffet, it is pretty decent. The service is minimal because of the amount of people that are there and the atmosphere is a buffet... not much needs to be said about that.
