Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill in Huntsville

Food was ok but not worth the high prices. Service was terrible, our server forgot items and messed up order. My kid almost choked on a crab claw that made it into his catfish meal and not even an apology.

Forget what I said previously. Get rid of the piss poor managers at the Huntsville location and I may return.

Great food and great service!

Walked in and ordered gumbo to go and it took 15 mins even though it wasn t crowded. When I opened it when we got home it was a small inch high container full of broth with very little shrimp, crawfish or even rice. Terrible waste of $7. I won t return.

Went into grab lunch fr the day. And my experience with this restaurant is hit or miss. This Tuesday it was miss Red beans tasted off, and cornbread was moldy and sour. The gumbo was decent. I go to Cajun restaurants when I feel a bit homesick. I ll be going to Tim s Cajun Restaurant more often

They used to have a great menu. Theyve changed it to save money. They dropped many of the real cajun dishes. They treat the employees horribly. The food quality is awful. Management is a joke. Im a former regular. Never going back.

The worst thing you ve done is getting rid of your most popular bartenders because they need to provide for their family? Since the new manager Robert keeps giving Alexa s shifts away, what do they expect her to do? Alexa wouldn t be the only person working a second job that works at the Cajun steamer, so what s the issue? Seriously, did you even interview Robert? He told us you didnt because he missed the call not realizing the time difference. I ve heard Robert telling servers and guests things he s not supposed to tell them about the new menu, hiring people so he can fire other people and starting rumors about servers. Doesn t sound like a very mature/manager thing to do. The food is horrible. They can t keep anyone in the kitchen and only have 2 people most of the time, making the wait times horrible. The steamer was convenient for us, we were regulars but we will not return until something changes, not just the menu.

I understand some places need to down size their menu, but getting rid of the muscles and jambalaya was blasphemous

Bartender was very nice and service was good. Food was not! Ordered the crab dip appetizer. So salty couldnt eat. Food is either bland or severe salty. Wouldnt recommend their food. Atmosphere is nice! But that is it!

i LOVE Bambi (the bartender )! she is so sweet, never has an attitude like the old bartender, and you can actually get drinks fast!!! WOAH!!! and the new manager Robert has done SOOOO much to help the current staff working there by letting go of workers that don t do anything but cause issues and makes it hard for that resturant to run smoothly. service and good attitudes have definitely been higher since Will and those other few left. love the seafood dip

I came into Cajun Steamer about a week ago with my family to celebrate my daughter s birthday, we were greeted by a server named Alexa with a very strong attitude that we were not too happy with. When I asked her if she would be willing to put the birthday cake we brought in the back until we were ready to cut the cake, she looked at me with a very disgusted look on her face and said We aren t a club then walked away. I understand Cajun Steamer is a restaurant so i d expect at least a tiny bit of respect for the people putting a roof over your head hunny! I thankfully spoke with a a manager and got a very sweet girl named Bambi who absolutely saved the day! If it wasn t for the change in servers, we definitely wouldn t have been back. Thank you Robert and Bambi for your awesome work!

I used to frequent this establishment but the new management and culture has definitely changed. They fired the two best bartenders. Lost my business Robert is running the business into the ground.

I really had a great first experience out in Huntsvilles Cajun steamer. They had great food and drinks. Bambi was especially very hospitable and sweet. I can t wait to visit again soon.

Lets just say lesson learned.....I spent $20 on something that looks like it was already halfway eaten and the entree was ICE COLD. The flavor was pretty good, the seasonings were on point, and the fried green tomatoes were still warm. The crawfish was a bit overcooked, but at this point, it s whatever. This definitely was NOT worth the money.

Was there for lunch at 2 pm 10/14/24. My waitress was maliya. I don t understand how someone can be so rude. She needs training. She was awful. I asked for salt for my beer and instead of saying yes, she literally interrupted me and said, make up your mind do you want the salt first or your mea? I don t think she knew that I use salt for my beer. But that doesn t mean she needs to say something like that. My sister in law asked for coffee and after 15 minutes she came back and said, do you really want your coffee? Implying that it s 2 pm and she shouldnt be drinking coffee. Maybe it s a hassle to make a pot of coffee but that s what we are paying for. Maybe she is the owner or affiliated, which would make sense to her nonchalant attitude. Still, should be retrained.

This place is ridiculous. They got rid of the best bartenders in Huntsville. The management should be fired and this place closed down. The food is not very good. Very disappointed and will NEVER go back again.

My review comes mostly from my experience on a Friday evening. I came in and order a French 75 and Cajun queso with crawfish. Received my drink with particles floating in it spoke to the bartender who responded with I just made a drink before yours which is why there are particles . So she really thought that was an explanation. Service was definitely a fail food was fast food quality.

Wtf cajan steamer no Jambalaya on the menu, is this a woke move or what ,probably not coming back

I originally placed an online order on 8/14/24 @ 7:12 pm (I have the email). When my husband went to pickup the order at 7:54 pm, the hostess/bar attendant Alexa immediately judged him by his appearance and made him wait to inquire about his order. After waiting, she stated that we didn t have an order for pickup. My husband called me and I entered the restaurant for clarification on the confusion. Upon my arrival, my husband told me about Alexa s rude, verbal comments. I requested a manager. The manager was VERY pleasant about the situation. He apologized for the confusion, offered to refund our order, and offered $50 on our next visit. I appreciated that .now here we are on our next visit 9/7/24. We walked in and immediately made eye contact with Alexa who rolled her eyes and left us waiting at the hostess booth for seating. We waited about 20-25 minutes before another lady approached us and seated us. After our drinks, we waited another 20 minutes before we could order our appetizer from our rude male server. I m assuming every one knew us from our prior visit because we were treated POORLY. We didn t receive silverware, our appetizers came right before our food, and we had to find servers for refills on our drinks. It was the worst service & experience ever. A Caucasian couple came in after us and was immediately seated, served drinks, and order placed. Another black family came in and had to wait awhile. This restaurant will NEVER get my business again. We spend $80-$100 every visit but we re treated as if they re doing us a favor by coming to their establishment. One of the closest to NOLA food you will get in downtown Huntsville, but the bartenders are what make this place special. Jesse is always there for your drink choices, and Stephanie is the same plus making sure everyone is enjoying the moment......it aint NOLA but it is pretty close.

Food was very good but disappointed they no longer had bone-in chicken wings. I sat at the bar and was waited on by Stephanie. She was so sweet and friendly. Omg this place! Ive lived in the area for 24 years and never visited. This place was SO GOOD. There were 6 of us in our party and we all got something different. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! Not one of us had a single complaint. The portions are generous. The seafood tastes fresh. The spice is just right. Gah, it was all so good! And our waitress was super sweet and on top of it. Hands down one of our new favorite places!

Cajun Steamer has been around for a while and there is never the same waiter there, always new waiter/ waitress however the restaurant food is great and the staff members are always on point. Highly recommend.

Loved this place. It had a fun atmosphere and the food was great. We had a party of nine and our server was on the ball the whole time and very pleasant. We all ordered different things and no one was disappointed!! Were from out of town but will be sure to stop in again the next time we pass through!

How, in all manor of the food universe, does a cajun restaurant take JAMBALAYA off their menu?

This visit was a Saturday lunch date, during our wedding anniversary celebration. Ive been literally wanting to try this place since it opened. Today made it worth the wait! I ordered the catfish plate with fries and a Caesar salad!! Chefs kiss!! My husband customized a burger with sweet potato fries and an Arnold Palmer. He LOVED it, which is REALLY significant for him! The waitress was great, attentive, and patient because it took a couple of visits to the kitchen to make corrections to the burger. We are most definitely planning to go back to explore the menu further.

I eat at Cajun Steamer every Wednesday. The food is always excellent and the steamer has a relaxed atmosphere. Great place.

The crawfish was not good this time! The Manager gave a credit on our bill, Apparently they have a new cook that does not know how to cook crawfish and that does not taste what he is serving. ( Maybe he don t like crawfish) My visits in the past were very good at this location and in Hoover but this time it was bad enough to post this review.

The food wasn t the best, the only good thing is the shrimp, appetizers and redfish plate. The server was amazing, and so was the atmosphere!! It s not worth the price for the crab legs because the seasoning was in a cup and it tasted water downed but other than that I will only be back for drinks and appetizers.

Came to alabama for couple weeks for work stayed at the homewood suits, right when you come down around the corner they got little shopping center couple resturants. Came and tried cajun steamer only place they have outdoor bar so that was my spot got there tried something new every day from the time was there food 10 out 10 but times it does get packed but the wait is worth it and if you go to the bar and Alexa is there she is very helpfull friendly and any questions you have or drink orders she got you! The worst waitress I have ever had to endure. The service was good until I invited what appeared to be a homeless man outside to have dinner with us. I asked the hostess if it would be ok, and she said yes. Then our waitress attitude completely changed. I had to ask her 3 times to bring him his drink. After some time of complete disrespect, I talk to the manager, and he informed me that he had banned the gentleman. So I inquired why the hostess told me it would be OK for him to come in. Regardless, I was paying for him, so it shouldnt have mattered. It has taken me a long time to get to where I am. And I never take it for granted because it can go away just as quick. And treat everyone with respect, regardless of their circumstances. Cause it could be you tomorrow. I will eat there again, but I certainly hope the right people see this and fix these issues. Our it will be the last time myself or any of my company step foot inside this establishment again.

I planned a birthday dinner for my daughters 15th birthday at this establishment. Called twice to make sure they could accommodate my party size and that the day and time were acceptable. (I called twice because I was told a manager would call, but they didnt so I called back 2 days later). I was assured that date and time were acceptable and that they wouldnt be able to sit all of us at the same table but they would have us in the same section of the restaurant. I was excited because it was going to be my first time at this establishment and I had heard great things. However, I received a phone call less than 48 hrs before my reservation time and was told by the assistant manager that they would not be able to guarantee that my party would be in the same section. So, I took the time to confirm the actual number of attendees (15 - 20 people) for the dinner and called back to inform them of this in hopes that they could work something out (due to this last minute notification) and was advised that my reservation had been canceled. I was also advised that if we decided to show up they would sit everyone, but we would run the risk of being spread out across the restaurant. I expressed my grievances about the last-minute change and the fact that they were not willing to try to make any accommodations. As I stated, this was going to be my first time at Cajun Steamer and to have such a poor experience is extremely disheartening. I dont appreciate being treated as if we werent going to be paying customers. The fact that my reservation was canceled without my consent and them not trying to provide a reasonable solution for the last-minute change shows me that there is a lack of business acumen within their management team. I understand that they have a small space to work with, but their inability to accommodate my party shouldve been made known upfront not less than 48 hrs before my reservation. To lose a customer before they even have a chance to visit your establishment is truly sad indeed.

Date of Service: 4/26 Service (5/5) Service was great! I appreciate the attentiveness of the waiter. Food (3/5) Gumbo I had a cup of gumbo yaya which was flavorful not too salty and hot. It s good but not like man I sure want some more Cajun steamer gumbo. Red beans It was too spicy for my liking. I had the red beans before but this must of been an extra spicy batch. The waiter was kind enough to exchange it. Cajun Trio I wasn t a fan of the jambalaya. Also, the crawfish étouffée was okay but nothing to rave about. Q: Would I recommend to others? If you are a foodie like me go for it and try it out. (At your own risk) Q: Would I return? Probably not. There are other places I would try instead.

My family had dinner at the 301 Pelham Ave SW STE C-1, Huntsville, AL location on 4/27/24, and the service was horrendous. We choose a table on the balcony and the maître D was very accommodating. But, our waiter, Melvin was horrible. He took our order initially but, neglected our table throughout the evening. We were a party of 4, and only 1 of 4 Entrées were served. We had to get the attention of another waitress to assist us because at that point all of our appetizers were gone. We informed her that weve been waiting over an hour for our Entrées. She said that she would let our waitress know. Once Melvin realized we were not served, he never came to our table to acknowledge this but, rush passed our table and said, it was his fault and he was sorry. Another 45 minutes went by, and we saw other patrons come and go and finally another Waitress served our dinner. Since, it took so long, it appeared that our order was never submitted. By this time, our drinks were low and we asked to order more along with napkins and silverware. She said she would inform our waitress, needless to say, we finished meal before the drinks were delivered by Melvin. 2 of 3 of the drinks were correct but, he brought my brother something that was not a Blue Moon and another drink that was not for our table. When the check came, we asked to speak with a Manager and we were passed around twice to two different so called managers. The first was somewhat pleasant to deal with but, he could not answer our concerns so, he passed us off to another person that was extremely rude and would not acknowledge that we were treated badly as customers. As a matter of fact, we saw him assisting other tables on the balcony all night but, not once did he approach our tables. Needless to say my family will never visit this location again, although weve visited this location numerous times and others in Nashville and Birmingham. This was the worst experience ever. Not only were we siblings and spouses trying to enjoy a meal together but, were all retired U. S. Army veterans who served our country faithfully all over the world. This type of service was not warranted nor should no one be treated like this.

Family of 4, visited on Monday at 6pm. Everything was perfect! We ordered the fried seafood platter for two, fried blue crab claws, fried grouper, and fried alligator. It also came with fries & fried boudon balls, which were amazing! Ive never had them before, & with 4 drinks. We spent $109, which was less than I expected!! We were seated right away, service was great. She kept our drinks filled and the food came out fresh! Next time were trying to steamed platters. Hightly recommend when craving seafood!

Usually this place is a hit! Me and my friend have been coming here for years to eat crawfish and 9x out 10 we are satisfied but this past Saturday May 4th was definitely disappointing. I am not sure what was going on but we got our order of crawfish and right off the top the crawfish looked as if they were not that clean really didnt see any seasoning like we normally do but hey we still were gun ho about eating it...we noticed the potatoes were very small almost like the size of a medium marble and the corn seemed to be overcooked and had a gooey texture that stuck to your teeth. We started eating the crawfish and immediately we both looked at each like uuuummm ok wheres the flavor the seasoning the spice?, we ate a few more and we finally just stopped and were like this is bland as hell like they had just dipped the crawfish in the water enough to warm them and that was it! The drink we ordered the Steamarita I believe its called we ordered it with peach flavor but when we got it all it tasted like was an overly sour mixed drink could not taste any peach flavor so we asked our waiter(Melvin) if he could take it back to add the peach flavor; whilw he was doin that my cousin joined us now she doesnt really eat crawfish so she just ordered chicken fingers as we waited for our drinks....well when Melvin brought back the drinks and we tasted it it was now too sweet like a whole cup of peach syrup had been dumped in it. The drink was like a thick cloudy glob of sour mix and peach syrup you could barely see the ice in the glass and it was not consumable. We did not even bother asking Melvin for a change or anything else because he was not very attentive and it was not even packed like you would think for a Saturday evening at 7:30/7:45 anyway with the meal not being up to par and flavorless, the drink being awfully made and disgusting to the taste we were OVER IT! Well my cousin who had ordered the chicken fingers began to wonder where her meal was because it was going on almost 25 minutes since she had placed the order; we then noticed Melvin sitting down and he appeared to be eating so she got up walked over to him and just told him to cancel the order she no longer wanted it. I am not sure what the issue(s) were but yea this was definitely one of the worst experiences weve had at Cajun Steamer and it put a bad taste in our mouths(literally) So it will be awhile before we come back and may try some other places that were recommended! Cajun Steamer lets do better you guys werent that busy like we have seen it packed many times before so there was really no reason for the food, drinks, and service to be as mediocre as it was!!

Our server was quite terrible to say the least. I ve been a server for 16 years and what i experienced today was terrible. She kept forgetting items we asked for such as a refill, honey mustard and napkins. Another waitress at the table beside us walked by and I said excuse me and she gave me the nastiest look I ve ever seen from someone and continued to ignore me. Food took forever to even be ordered because she would leave and not come back. To top it all off I drove four hours to try this place and definitely would NOT recommend. Poor service, poor food and now have food poisoning. Do not eat here.

The only reason Id ever tell you to skip Cajun Steamers is selfish I want to make sure theres a seat for me! Seriously, this place dishes out some of Huntsvilles best flavors. Every visit, from appetizers to desserts, has been a culinary triumph. Its Southern cooking at its finest, and if you must go, please just save me a seat!

Seafood is dip needs to be served as a meal entree over pasta !!! Then you got a real deal dish !!! Dip excellent !!!! Crab legs good skimpy as hell for $40 !!!!!! At least Serve it with at least several corn and potatoes !!!!!! Geeze embarrassing. But crab legs good just skimpy

My guest had eaten here twice before and recommended it, she went there for the Raw Oysters. Problem #1: Basically insufficient parking. Garage two doors away says 1st floor for Publics customers and others will get a ticket, other floors for medical clinics. We parked on 1st floor that was 75% empty and took our chances. Got the seafood dip (cost more then many of the entrées), but was very good. I got the Bayou Chicken stuffed with shrimp and crab. Found 1 shrimp in the sauce seriously no larger then 1/8 of an inch, and the crab must have only walked by my plate, because there was no crab to be found. Stuffed absolutely not. The chicken was thick pieces of grilled chicken that had very little flavor, because they were too thick to soak up much of the flavor of the sauce or the nonexistent stuffed crab or shrimp. The side was red beans and rice flavored water with a 1/2 tablespoon of rice placed in the center.(Started to order Red Beans and Rice as my entree - so glad I didnt do that!) My guest ordered the Raw Oysters ( her go to meal!) and two of the Raw Oysters were bad! As she said, they should have been able to smell them when they were shucked and never served them in the first place. Food arrived in short order, but refill of drinks arrived after the check. Waitress did offer to get manager to replace the two bad Oysters. However, after you have put a bad oyster in your mouth, that ruins the taste for the remainder. My guest was so disappointed she said she was not going back. We decided on not being further disappointed with desert. Meal without tip (no alcohol drinks) was $61.00

Finally had my first alligator taste here. The gator meat was a little chewy. The crawdaddy serving was actually generous. We had to share with the group. Some of the dishes were a little salty. There is parking building on the area if you find the side-streets full.

(2023) After many times visiting Cajun Steamer, tonight may have been our last. Cajun Steamer was insensitive to special needs children. Ive taken my new family there several times in the past year. Both my fiancee and our kids had loved the place. Tonight we went there for a nice, family dinner and after ordering drinks and meals, noted the background volume on the music playing in the restaurant was getting louder than usual. I asked the server if they could please turn down the volume and explained clearly that the children are autistic and would overwhelm them. They said they would mention it to the manager and we waited. Food arrived with a different server and I asked again about the volume as Id been watching both kids slowly becoming upset by the sound level. Halfway through the meal, my finance had to take both children out of the restaurant and down the street to escape the sound level. One was clearly in tears. On speaking with the manager, he told me that no-one had mentioned the children were autistic. Worse - he told me point blank that his boss (a restaurant owner I assume) told him to turn the volume back up. My family was unable to enjoy a meal together and my step-son whod been excited to go there, now refuses to go back. Way to go... I ve been to Cajun Steamer Bar & Grill on several occasions and the food to include drinks have been awesome. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and professional. Wednesday my wife and I ordered chicken wings, Char grilled Oysters, drinks, and two Redfish Rockefellers. We usually order the same entree. This particular day the entree wasn t fresh and tasted different. The sauce was watered down and lacked taste. The mashed potatoes were brown and tasted like an old yesterday potato. The entire dish was off and seemed very old. I took a few bites an immediately went to the bathroom. Thankfully the waitress took it off my bill. My wife didn t eat hers after my experience. I was ready to leave after. Unfortunately, I couldn t get the taste out of my mouth for a few hours. I enjoy this restaurant, but please use fresh ingredients and don t cut corners.

Char-grilled oysters .$28.99 for 12 TINY oysters; the flavor was good, but they were dry, not buttery and juicy like NOLA. Blackened shrimp po-boy the shrimp tasted like precooked frozen shrimp that had a little seasoning sprinkled on them; they weren t even warm and tasted awful. The chicken vindaloo was good, as were the fries, otherwise I would have given a 1! Don t waste your money.

Wife and I wanted to try something new to us, so we decided to go here and it was so worth the trip. We got the fire cracker shrimp as a starter ( it was great) I ordered the voodoo burger ( definitely one of the best burgers I ve had) she got the chicken tender only sandwhich with a side of fried green tomatoes( she said both was really good) and to end we got the cheesecake desert they had, I m not a big fan of cheese cake to start with ( but that was one of the best deserts we ve ever had). Waitresses was absolutely awesome and respectful. I recommend this place 10/10 without a doubt.

Brought my son by for some dinner. Not busy at all waited at the door for 10 mins, countless servers/ cooks all just looked and walked by .said nothing , finally when someone did come up I m assuming the hostess she said yea wow

I want to brag on our waitress Stephanie! She is amazing. Was very attentive and knew the menu well. This was our second time there and wanted to try something new. Stephanie was very helpful with helping us decide. We will definitely be coming back and can t wait to try the other food on the menu. Food is great. We had voodoo chicken on mashed potatoes fried shrimp. First time we went we had fried seafood for two. With seafood queso dip. The red beans and rice is amazing. Great job. Nice to find a good local restaurant in Huntsville that s consistent and hospitable. We will be back.

March 16th my husband and I came for late lunch 30 min wait was no problem, until a larger party arrived and was seated w no wait for explanation. It my husband inquired about it and was told they were seating big parties...except there were no other big parties and have I mentioned that we were there first. This is the 2nd time this has happened, my husband enjoys the food so we have come back chalking the first time to a fluke. I left and tried to call store 3 times to speak w the manager and not once was my call answered. Idc how busy someone is, acknowledgement goes a long way. I told my husband this is the last time I would frequent this place ever. There is no excuse for ignoring customers!!!!

I was there on a Saturday night, february 10th and there was a bald manager in a red shirt yelling at his employees to the point where the waitresses were in tears. It really ruins the vibe when i m trying to enjoy my food and i see a rude manager treating the other employees badly. Food and table service was great though.

I never leave negative reviews and dont really want to because the server was so sweet, but I got food poisoning from here yesterday. One of my best friends and her fiance also got food poisoning on two separate occasions from here. My friend and I both ended up ordering shrimp dishes, so Im not sure if thats the issue. But, I just wanted to throw other potential diners a heads up. Again, the server was very sweet, and the service was great. But, its not worth getting sick over (Ive been puking for a day and half). :/

This used to be my favorite Cajun in town. Quality of food and service has declined significantly in the past year or so. Tuna dip, gumbo, and jambalaya are still good. Redfish and boudin balls are disappointing.

I love dining here. The crawfish enchiladas are my favorite! Dining in is nice, I ve dined at the bar a time or two which is nice , but my favorite place to eat is outside on the patio. When the weather is right, it s an experience you won t forget. The food is rich so don t eat too much if you have a lot on your agenda but you won t find a Cajun meal like this anywhere else. It s always great. The chefs are great and the staff is always friendly. The cocktails are good. There are many menu options. The restaurant is always clean. Overall good experience.

Worst dining experience in Huntsville thus far. Waited unnoticed for minutes to be seated at a dirty booth with table wobbling (used napkins to stabilize). Ordered appetizers that were overpriced per the portions. The Shrimp Po Boy bread was too hard for consumption on a sandwich (scratched the roof of my mouth). May have been good with soup or salad. Parking: Limited parking near restaurant.

Great Customer service food was just okay

Everything I have eaten here has been amazing! So very delicious. Update 1/19/2024: Today I took my wife here again. We have been here about 7 or 8 times. Every time we have had amazing food. This time though, my food was off tasting. I have had this dish several times and could tell it was not the same somehow. I ate it anyways, not a big deal. Also, my wifes pasta and shrimp was cold. The waitress was very polite and had them remake her pasta. The second one was piping hot and delicious. So, this restaurant is still one of our favorite restaurants, but it had an off day today. Still amazing food and staff.

What can I say Boudan balla give me life. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. Music was a little too loud for which is why I gave stars instead of five. Parking: On the 1st floor for parking you have to be a Publix customer. Thats so simple. Go into Publix first. By gum or any mint of you choice or whatever you want. Then go to your proffered restaurant.

Okayyy so I Love the spot the bartenders at the bar also but Whyyyy u got it so cold in the restaurant like I be wanting to chill and talk but once I start getting to cold I m ready to go

The food was absolutely AMAZING! we had the seafood dip to share for the table, and it was so creamy and flavorful. I did have to ask for more bread chip things twice because there was that much dip! I ordered the Pastalaya- which had shrimp and chicken. It wasnt overcooked, and the flavors really blended well. The spice to it was enough to give a kick and not overwhelm me w heat that I enjoyed every bite! My boyfriend ordered the fire shrimp tacos! The amount of shrimp was impressive, and again, the spice was delicious (he let me have one of the 3 tacos). My sister ordered the chicken Alfredo and the chicken and a nice grilled flavor. That portion was also pretty hefty, and the sauce was very creamy! I recommend this place 100% and will be going here on the regular! There was a bit of miscommunication on who our server was, but it turned out OK. My party and I watched another table (party of 2) sit down after us and ate and left before us. It did get a little busy, so a little delay was expected.

They mustve been busy but we waited and the others waited with no contact or acknowledgement. I had to get someone to seat us after 3 additional minutes. Everyone seemed like they were in a rush..the food wasnt bad but the customer service was so I wont go back.

Celebrated My Birthday with My Wife. Had a Wonderful Time and the Food was On Point.

If your kitchen manager has the personal hygiene of a toddler its probably best he stays in the kitchen. Cause from one cook to another your hygiene reflects the cleanliness of your kitchen. And your attitude towards your front of house is unacceptable. P.s. publix is right next door go buy a toothbrush and practice basic personal hygiene. Kid-friendliness: If you consider your pets your kids they are welcome on their rod iron fenced in patio.

Great food

I hadnt been to Cajun Steamer in years but I remembered it being good so we went back recently and Im glad to say the food is still really delicious. The service was really slow though, unfortunately but it was also pretty busy. The service had me worried that the foot wouldnt be good but Im glad to say it was delicious. I got the shrimp poboy. All of it was very good. Hit the po boy spot. Parking: There is street parking in the area and its also easy to just park at Publix and walk a little.

Zydeco catfish is amazing. This is my second time here with my friends that have been going for several years. Alexa is awesome and dont forget to ask her for the special, La Crema de Carmen,

Food and service were good. My catfish platter was huge as well as delicious. It was also happy hour. I tried out the boudin balls, sweet potato fries, as well as the gumbo, all were tasty.

Her name is Alexia and I have noticed her customer service, beverage knowledge, exceptional professionalism is exactly what every restaurant is missing! THE WAITERS DO NOT KNOW THE MENU!! I am fairly disappointed in the staff. As a pescatarian I was fed bacon after asking the waiter to recommend a dish with absolutely nothing but fish or seafood.

Sausage in Red beans & rice was hard as a rock, our dogs didn t even like it. Jambalaya overcooked or leftover. Seafood soup/chowder was very good. Don t plan to return, too pricey for sloppy food. Service was great.

Really fun affordable place for oysters and drinks. The Cajun food really isnt high brow, and a couple of the dishes taste like frozen dinners, but its a lot of fun. Exception - the crawfish boil is great.

We like eating here and try to get over a few times a year. We just arent over that way often enough to go more! (traffic/parking are less than ideal, but I couldnt imagine this anywhere else in the city!)

Food was ok, I ordered fried shrimp and it tasted as if it had been cooked for awhile. My husband had oysters and red beans and rice and his was excellent. The music was almost too loud for lunch time.

Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I ve had in YEARS. I understand they were slammed that day, but there s honestly no excuse for the rude and neglectful treatment I got from my server, ETC.. Too many issues to list. If I could give ZERO stars on this review, I certainly would have.
