Great Italian food that's made fresh daily!!!
We went early Friday evening and surprising, the place wasn’t too busy. We were seated promptly and made drink and appetizers orders. We started with the baked ravioli and salads. My Caesar was very fresh and tasty. My wife had a standard salad and hers was the same. The Ravioli was delicious! They came out hot and crispy, almost like they were fried! For our entree, we decided to share the Terranova Triple, but added chicken to the Alfredo pasta. The dish came out hot, freshly made. The lasagna was my personal favorite. The chicken parm was tender and cooked just right. My wife’s favorite was the chicken alfredo. All three were excellent. Our serving size was surprisingly large. We left with a to go box and it was plenty for the next day. Our service was great and we will definitely return for more Alfredo and baked ravioli!!
Loved everything about my experience. The food, dessert, and service was top notch. But the atmosphere really was the cherry on top.
Kelli is awesome! We met as a family group Sunday, 9/22/24. There were fourteen of us ranging from 1 to 82 years old. My husband and I had not been to Huntsville for over two years, and due to our age and physical issues, it could be our last trip. Two o'clock was a perfect time to eat and enjoy each other. Kelli quickly took our orders, brought our bread, and kept the drink glasses filled while we waited. The wait was not long at all, and she seemed to be everywhere at once serving, checking on us, keeping everyone happy, while at the same time caring for other diners. We were able to enjoy the wonderful food and visit with each other for what may be the last time. The servings were more than ample to have leftovers the next day. Thank you Terranova's and Kelli for a great experience.
Every time I come to eat I’m never disappointed. The staff is nice and very attentive. The food tastes fresh every-time. They have a hot, soft bread with seasoned oil. Dishes are piping hot when presented, seasoned well, and cooked properly. The drinks are lovely and an added bonus with the meal.Better than Olive Garden any day .
We really enjoyed ourselves tonight at Terranova’s. My wife and I were looking for a fun date night place and we find it! My friend recommended that we go and I’m glad i listed. Alex did a great job serving and all of his suggestions were spot on. We started with stuffed mushrooms. Delicious! Then I had the Scaloppine with shrimp and my wife had the Penne alla vodka with chicken. Both were amazing! Service was great. We will be back for sure. You should check it out!
This is our second time eating at Terranova's. Our first time eating at this location. It was so good! I think I liked this location more than Terranova's in Athens. Only because the food presentation and the waiters were top notch. Nicely dressed, very respectful. It was like eating in an upscale restaurant, very nice. We ate here for my husband's 33rd birthday. He loves Italian food. Being of Italian decent, he says this is the best! We will definitely be coming back with the rest of his family.
Food and service was good. Atmosphere felt a little strange as if it was a Mexican restaurant turned into Italian place. I did not think that the bread and oil was very flavorful. The Marsala was very good and would get again. We also had a special that included shrimp, scallops and blue crab meat which was also good. Overall I would recommend trying this restaurant.
Our first time visiting was on yesterday 3/15, my birthday. The food was good and plenty. I ordered the Terranova Trio and my husband ordered spaghetti w/ meat sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed the Alfredo sauce. It's the best I've ever had. The lasagna was average. The oil/herb concoction was very good also. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Sorry I can't remember her name😒
Great food with generous portions, friendly service.
Greg is the best
Terranova is one of the top two Italian restaurants in Huntsville! The veal parm is fantastic, tender, and a very good portion size! The stuffed mushrooms, are my favorite thing on the menu. This passed weekend there was a desert special of a cranberry cheesecake that was so very good!
Great tasting food.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very good access and wide entrance and aisles. Food
Quaint, cozy and delicious ... a go to for top quality Italian food
The food was good as usual. We got the alfredo and it was creamy, mine couldve used a bit more sauce but it was still good. We will go back.
Always high on our list of options for Madison area restaurants. Pro tip: the ribeye bistecca was VERY good, especially considering the price point. This spoiled steak eater can definitely recommend it with no reservations. Also, the chocolate cake is literally its own food group. Go ahead and get it, youve earned it
Had a party of 25 (called ahead to let them know) after church on a Sunday and they dedicated one server to the entire party. She did an amazing job, but she should have had some help. Food is good, but not the best in the Huntsville area.
Great food, awesome atmosphere, service 5 star
My friends and I absolutely love this place! The food is delicious and always comes out hot. They also have great appetizers, but we go crazy for the gnocchi. They also have a good selection of wine for you to choose from. I highly recommend giving Terranova s a try!
We had an amazing experience at Terranova! Alex was an incredibly knowledgeable and attentive waiter! The food was delicious and well plated! Highly recommend!
My husband and I were looking for a really good authentic Italian restaurant and this was not it. The olive oil looked clear and watered down. The stuffed mushrooms were just ok, nothing special. I got the ribeye Marsala and the steak was decent but the mushroom garlic sauce was overpowering the steak. Mashed potatoes were good. My husband got the trio and the fettuccine Alfredo was similar to Olive Garden, the chicken parm was good but I have had better. The lasagna was not good. Costco has better. Service was Good. It was not authentic Italian. I read all the reviews expecting the best and was a little disappointed.
The creme brulee is to die for. Recommend the spinach dip and scaloppine was also very good and large enought to split as a meal.
There was 4 us tonight first timers. The food was delicious and the service wonderful! However the table and chairs were sticky, floors and bathroom filthy. Please consider giving your cleaning a little more attention. Thank you
Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, no threshold bump Food
The food and service was delicious. We loved the spinach dip and the chips are homemade. The trio is a ton of food as was the marsala. My only complaint is the marsala sauce needed more mushrooms and depth / savory flavor it was sweet. The chocolate Canoli and creme Brule was great too
Me and my sister took Mom for Mothers Day. We had a good time, good food, good service. Mom enjoyed it. Food
Great dining experience. I think their mashed potatoes may be the best I have ever had.
Great experience, service and atmosphere!
We havent been in a while but apparently they close at 8 now. Despite that 8pm closing time posted in the door when we arrived at 7:33 we were told that they were already closing up and couldnt seat us... :(
Only place to get veal.
Great food, and our server was great! Will definitely go again.
The food at Terranovas is good. All I have to say is get the Ribeye!! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and the customer service by the staff was great
Great food and awesome service!
We love pasta portofino and lasagna,
Great food
We eat here as often as we can. The food is always fresh. Never had a bad experience. I highly recommend trying the fried mozzarella cheese! I gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it s usually chilly in there bring a sweater and enjoy.
I celebrated with my family on Mothers Day for dinner, and everyone enjoyed their food. Our server kept on top of our drink refills. I highly recommend this nice restaurant in Huntsville. Thank you for a wonderful meal on Mothers Day!
We will never be back! Our waiter, whoever he was, was horrible! He never introduced himself, he never had any type of convo with us, we asked about recommendations and he wasnt helpful, we had to flag him down for drinks (tea & water), and he never checked on us once!! The ONLY thing good about this place was the food! I would HIGHLY suggest going to another Italian restaurant because the staff is probably a 1000% better and atmosphere is probably nicer. I tried to call and complain to a manager, but no one answered the phone. I literally typed this while in the parking lot, so I know they could have answered because it wasnt busy. Again, HORRIBLE WAITER!!!!
Good food! Wish the shrimp were seared a little before being put into the Fettachini Alfredo, but the bread and the Chicken Cannelloni were great! Will return for the Chicken Cannelloni again
We came in close to closing. They welcomed us gladly and we rushed to order our drinks and food so they could leave on time. Our server Alex was awesome and we really appreciated him. My daughter loved the fettuccine Alfredo and my wife loved the cheese sticks because they were so creamy. We will be back
Was really excited to try Terranova s, especially after all the great reviews we read. When we arrived tonight it was not busy. We ordered our beverages, when the soft drinks came the waiter forgot what wine my husband ordered so it took a bit longer to arrive, more than normal bar drinks would take. We ordered the mozzarella appetizer and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly they came out, however they were not hot. When the waiter brought our bread he also left the plate of spices on our table and said he d be back. After about 10 minutes we had to flag him down and ask for the olive oil and instead of a quick apology for the delay just said he had something to do and that s why he hadn t been back. When our meals arrived my husband received the wrong dish. Rather than the waiter taking responsibility for his error he says oh, I must have seen you pointing to the menu and that dish is right below it. My husband clearly and verbally said what he wanted when we ordered, he didn t want to wait for another meal to be cooked so he ate what came. My daughter had penne vodka with chicken and I had chicken scaloppine- I think they would have been much better had they been hot. They were luke warm at best. Very disappointed in the service and lack of hot food.
Man oh man, did we find another hidden gem!!!! The bar for Italian food is set pretty high by Limoncello s in Boston for us. With that in mind, this food, especially the sauces, are every bit of a 4.7!!!!! For starters, we had the fried ravioli. I loved the tomato sauce to dip them in and they were fantastic. My wife got the trio, and the chicken parm, lasagna, and Alfredo was AMAZING. For me, I had the scalloppine ribeye. When I tell you that mushroom cream sauce on the steak was to die for. I mean, had I finished mine, I would be ordering one to go for dinner!!!!! We actually did order a chicken parm to go as well to add to the leftovers for dinner. We also had the cannolis , and the Italian crème pie. Definitely worth the try. For the cannolis, I hope you like chocolate!! And the pie is a great pralines and cream taste. Absolutely worth it!!! Trust me go try it!!!!
Been coming here for years. Nice friendly atmosphere and staff.
The food is always authentic and very tasty! I love the background music that they place throughout the restaurant and it is also a place that you can relax from a long day of work!
Still good, but was better. Salads were better and for the dinner they use to grate the cheese for you at the table, but the basic food is still as good.
It was good. I liked the chicken marsala and the tiramisu, but someone else in my party did not like the gnocchi. Waiter was good at checking up on us. Nice place.
Amazing Italian food.
One step above Olive Garden
Best Italian food I have had in a long time!!!
Great food, friendly staff, great service, and the atmosphere is very charming.
Update - visited again and food was still good. Service was a little slower than typical compared to other times we have visited. One thing i noticed was that they do not serve olive oil as the bread dip - its soy oil...... i didnt really like it... maybe because Im not used to soy oil? It just doesnt have a taste... the waiter acted offended that I asked him about it. I feel like I would have noticed this on past visits.
Took a date here on Friday Night. The hostest was nice and gave me a booth for my date. She hadnt arrived yet. I waited for the Server, Alex came and took my drink order. He brought me Bread with what I assumed where herbs, but no oil. I had gotten up to get the oil at a server station.. As he was not around, I figured he was busy and, it was no problem, I can do it. My date finally arrived and we ordered Salads and an Appétitizer. The Caesar Salads and Stuffed Mushrooms where lovely . It was time to order. After having tried the house Sangria, salads and stuffed mushrooms. We decided to split the Trio as we where no that hungry. So we asked Alex to split our entrée. He agreed. He then comes back and told us it was against their policy to split an entrée and that he would bring an extra plate. I was shocked because Ive been a waiter and always did this. No problem Alex comes back to the table and asked if we had gotten our food. We told him no. He said ill be right back. He comes back and stops at another table begins talking over the plate. Explaining that this Trio is not theres, that the order it split. He brings the food and leaves. I confronted Alex about them getting their plate split and it was the exact dish we ordered. He told my date and I that the table asked the manager to do so. He walked off.. So I got up and asked the older white couple if they asked the manager. They said no, we just asked! I thanked them. I was fumming over him talking over our food and lying. I asked that the entrée be taken off my bill and to receive the check. What was supposed to be a great evening turned into discuss. Alex yes I tipped you 20% but had you taken care of me properly. You would have been tipped half of my total check. I too was a Server, so I love taking care of my server. Thank you Alex S. for ruining my date night and my first time at your restaurant. I wouldnt suggest anyone visit.
We love this place. The food is always wonderful. The staff is friendly and attentive even though it feels like they are short staffed. The food was fresh and we left satisfied!
Everything was excellent! My husband band had ribeye masala and I, angel hair with shrimp, mushrooms, bacon, and artichoke. Wow! Deelicious!! We loved the music, too! Highly recommended! We used to go to the one in Athens but they closed/ relocating. Please tell us where theyre going to be. Allie was just wonderful!! Thanks!!
I have been here a few times, and I have had great experiences and great food every time.
Food and service is always great!
Allison was spot on with her recommendation of the Pork chop Martini. I am happy to report enough of a portion to fill me and some to look forward to for tomorrow. We love Terranovas.
Me and my family love this place , the dishes are always delicious and the presentation is great . As a born and raised Italian New Yorker I can say this is definitely Italian cuisine best in North Alabama!
Everything was good from the bread to the main course.
I adore the intimate atmosphere of this Italian gem. The freshly baked bread sets the tone, and the meatballs in the spaghetti are a delightful highlight. Overall, a fantastic dining experience.
Tried to order dessert to go and was refused because of presentation. Unimpressed with the employees tone and unwillingness to serve throughout the conversation.
Great service and great food The fresh bread is fantastic! Food
One of my favorite places to dine in Huntsville. This is a must go to for amazing food and service.
Love it
Great service and delicious food. Everyone in my party loved their entrees. I personally ordered the Terranova Trio and really enjoyed it.
Good Food for a very reasonable price, chicken scalopine is always very good
My only issue was the broccoli was rock hard, otherwise wonderful.
Food was good, nothing wrong with it, but reminds you of OG.
Yummy food here! My husband had the special Penne Alla Vodka, I think it was. It was out of this world. I had the Ribeye with fettuccine. My pasta could ve used salt/seasoning. Wine was wonderful. Parking: Plenty of parking. It s located in a strip mall type area.
I bought my friends a gift card for Christmas It smelled amazing when I walked in the door... They eat here at least once a week... They go on and on about how good the food and service is... I will be eating here soon..
excellent
Delicious Italian food and generous portions. Authentic!
This is one of our favorite local restaurants, we ve never had a bad experience here. Food is always hot and delicious, and the portion sizes are large for the price too. The bread is literally the stuff of dreams On our most recent visit, our server Alex gave us stellar service, but he s certainly not the only one there who has.
Now, this is the perfect place! Great Italian food and service.
Terranovas, where to begin? Nice location off of the beaten path of the hustle and bustle of University. 25 min wait was not bad as it was a Friday night, and Huntsville is a popping town. Hostess was pleasant and friendly. The atmosphere was a comfortable mood, and the lighting was optimal. The service was ok. The food ordered appeared to be cooked out of different kitchens. One meal brought out was delicious and very presentable. The other meal that arrived was more of the love child of fast food and a frozen Michelangelo dinner from a gas station. It makes me wonder as if Doordarshan was actually delivering to the restaurant. The bread and oil appetizer was delicious, and the beer and wine were just as great. Overall, Ill give it a try again. Maybe go with the salmon.
Terranovas in Huntsville is absolutely delicious. We had the Veal Scaloppine and Strawberry Tiramisu!! I was extremely impressed with the food, explosion of flavor. The staff was nice as well. Ill definitely go back.
First time going today everything was great waiter was really good and nice I had fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp it was awesome tried stuff mushrooms for first time they were delicious will definitely be back
On 3/15 a friend and I chose to eat here since our previous experiences were good. The food was always very . On this day the hostess was very rude to us. We asked for a different table because the one where started to place us was facing the sub. One or both of us would have sun in our eyes . She picked up silver and threw it down on another table, gave us a disgusting look and walked off. At that point we chose to leave
Best penne alla vodka and chicken scallopini. Amazing service. Had ribeye last time, and it was outstanding. And a 1lb piece of chocolate cake! Amazing all around. Second visit was better than the first, and we will be back! Thank you, Beth!
Gave us dry bread with old olive oil. Food was okay but did not feel like an Italian experience as they played dad rock throughout. I give it 3 stars since the interior itself was unique and lovely to look at and staff was very kind.
Terranova s has incredible food, that is clearly made from scratch. The staff is so friendly. We had a great experience and are already looking forward to returning soon!
The ribeye steak was absolutely delicious! Nice atmosphere. Good service.
The food is delicious, a little pricey, but worth it becase you can usually get a couple meals out of one entree and every meal comes with fresh baked bread. We always spring for dessert when they have traditional canolis, but be sure to ask about the desserts before ordering because sometimes they offer non-traditional dessert flavors which can be weird.
Only reason I m giving two stars is because our waitress was great Leanna was her name I believe. the food however taste frozen, my girlfriend got the trio and her lasagna was some of the worst I ve ever tried, her chicken was also burnt to a crisp. I got the salmon which was also well over cooked. The atmosphere was also not very Italian. Overall will not come back
The food and staff was amazing!!!
The atmosphere and environment was fun, service was lack luster. Food was alright. Dietary restrictions: One gluten free option, which they dont always have.
Everything on the menu is good.
Unfortunately I did not take any photos of our meal last night but everything was great! Bread service followed by an appetizer of fried mozzarella. I had the chicken cannelloni and my husband had the seafood tortellini special. Our waiter Alex was phenomenal
Best Italian I have ever eaten outside of authentic Italian food. Wouldn t go anywhere else. Service was excellent!
Best Italian in town, hands down
Great service and Food. I had the Ribeye Marsala and it was amazing. Highly recommend if you are looking for Italian food.
Great food!
Tonight was our family s first visit to Terranova s and it was awesome!! The food was delicious, the restaurant was immaculate and the service outstanding. We had the privilege of being served by Gabriel, I cannot say enough of how wonderful this young man was serving our party of 7!!!! He was efficient, accurate and most of all friendly!!! We were all very impressed and look forward to our next visit! Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free and whole wheat pasta Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access throughout the restaurant and parking area
Friendly folks that makes you feel like your home!!!
Friendly service and charming ambiance. Great Italian food. Good wine selection. Will definitely re
The food was mediocre at best. The red sauce tasted burnt, and the chicken parm was cooked until it was dry. We had to move tables because the duct work was dropping black stuff onto the table. When we moved, we could see it all over the floor as well. You could visibly see cobwebs all over the decor. It made me wonder how clean the kitchen was. The only positive of the experience was our servers. They were very nice and prompt.
Lately the customer service has gotten so bad it has ruined any chance of us going back. The hostess has been very rude as well as management. Not even a hint of hospitality. We had a large party of 12 coming in for my birthday and my husband called fully aware there are no reservations. We just wanted to see what the wait would be for 3 pm on a Sunday. She said there was no chance we would even be seated together and hung up on him. When he told me what happened I was shocked. The staff used to be very friendly and accommodating, and if there was a large wait, or something wrong, the staffs attitude usually made it understandable because they were very nice about it. When I called back to see if there was a chance to maybe get seated outside or getting something close to sitting with my family, I got hung up on as soon as I asked for the manager. When I called back and finally got the manager and explained my husband getting hung up on she just kept repeating ok not sorry or an explanation or anything. So instead of me trying to find a way to eat there tonight I told her she didnt have to respond rudely and they lost our business for good. My friends have told me they had similar experiences, but we always had a good meal and friendly service up until about 2 or 3 visits ago. Will not be giving them another chance, sad because we used to really enjoy this restaurant.
Excellent experience! I always try to eat here when I visit my kids. The food is amazing and authentic. I highly recommend!!
Terranova s is the best Italian restaurant in Huntsville. The whole experience from food to staff is well above par. The chefs are amazing. My waitress Frances made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Highly recommended. Food
Was to give 5 star. But after we ate lady was take so long to take our bill and to gave back our card. She stayed too much chatting with other table. She did good but its just thing made as wait for 20 minutes just to give back my card. It has only 3 tables. Not coming back!
Love this place
Always a good time with friends and delicious food. You got to get in for the seasonal dishes - this fried green tomatoes are outstanding! Vegetarian options: Fried green tomato parmesan
First visit for us and it was very good! Excellent, fast service. Tasty bread and dipping oil. Calamari app was good. Fettuccine Alfredo was great. Lasagna was good (slightly strong Italian sausage flavor-not a problem, just not my favorite). The chicken parm was really good but was a little oily with the sauce on it. The real star was the chicken cannelloni. It was amazing! Would return!
The best authentic food in the area. From getting greeted by Gabe, who was very polite and courteous, to being seated and immediately acknowledged by Kelly our server...the experience was very pleasant. Kelly had some very good suggestions and was prompt in refilling the teas, etc. Food came out timely and was hot and fresh. The bread and herb seasoning is so good. The reason for the 4 star on the food is the chicken was a tad overcook for the Chicken Parmesan. The Lasagna is terrific!! We will definitely be back.
Excellent food + service. We I really enjoyed our meals. Veal Scallopini, Lasagna and Chicken Cannelloni were delicious. They make their Caesar dressing in house and its recommended!
Delicious
Delicious Chicken Parmesan and Shrimp Alfredo.
A joyful, happy place with finger licking good food and somewhat fast service. Vegetarian options: Not many, but some on the menu Parking: Lots of spots, but most of them are always taken Kid-friendliness: Lots of people, but a very exciting place. Nothing to play on like in a chil fil a.
Update 08/28/2023: What happened? We come in every time family comes in to visit. Last time was about 3-4 months ago. We ate last Saturday 08/26/23 and the food was not up to par. The service was great, the deserts are awesome, but the main meal was bland. I have had just about everything on the menu since my last review. Chicken Scaloppine is my normal go to right now. There was no lemon zest pop on the first bit, very little bacon and the artichoke didnt taste right. It was just off. I thought it was just me but my wife did not like hers, my son didnt finish his veal marsala, and my mother-n-law did not like her order either (Salmon dish). Next time we will try the Athens location, but i hope this was just a fluke. Original Review: Fist time visit, food was excellent and the service was on point. Dont eat too much bread, waiter warned us. I was able to finish my plate but barely, definitely no room for desert. I recommend the Chicken Cannolloni (sp), it was excellent the way all the flavors blended together. We will be back. Pros: larger portion for reasonable price, service, quality food Cons: none, wish I would have eaten here sooner.
Great food, nice atmosphere, and friendly service! My husband and I have eaten here several times now and each time it was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend going here for great Italian food!
Very good environment for family even though we don t have kids. Overall the food was good and we were satisfied with it. The wine was also good BUT I wish they labeled on their wine list where the wine was coming from. They did have DCOG ratings on a few but it would have been nice to know for all. I also wish they had paper napkins ( cloth ones cause me to break out and it s a texture thing). When I asked for some, I was give mystery location paper towels that seemed a little gross. We will probably go back but I will be bringing my own paper napkins
My fiancé and I had our anniversary dinner here and it was a lovely experience. Can t believe it took us so long to try out this amazing restaurant! Alex S was our waiter and he was super sweet and attentive. You gotta try the creme brulee! Best one in town!!
We eat here once a month or so and have always gotten a good meal! Kid-friendliness: Ive been bringing my kids since they were toddlers and everyone has been friendly and welcoming, despite the occasional childhood antics. When little, my kids would dance on the patio while waiting for their food.
Food was great.
Food, service, and atmosphere really were outstanding. Really looking forward to going back regularly.
The inside of the building looked lovely. It was rather cold considering it was only in the 70s outside. You should bring a jacket. The wait staff was very nice. The food was lovely. Everyone at the table enjoyed the chicken parmesan and the fettuccine alfredo and the lasagna.
Everybody needs to try this place....be hungry portions are large in my opinion
The food was extremely unsavory as well as unsatisfactory. I had the lasagna but it had no flavor and tasted like they warmed it up in the microwave and slathered some cheese on it. Restaurant on the inside looked dated which is unfortunate. The only glimmer of light was the nice waitress.
We were seated quickly, friendly staff that gave great service. Everyone enjoyed the food (12 of us). Resaurant appeared clean and had typical Italian decor.
6 of us had dinner last night ad it was fabulous! I had not been to terranovas in a lot of years and boy now Im sorry I hadnt been! I ordered the veal scallopini and it was probably the best Ive ever had. They had a ravioli special which was so tasty and the grilled chicken had such great flavor. I just cant say enough good about the food and Eric was our server and he was so attentive and got all our orders correct. If you have not been lately to terranovas, you need to go back!
There is no great Italian in Huntsville but this is good.
We love this place every time my family from Michigan comes to visit they wanna come to teranovas to eat. We have already tried everything. The last time we went I wanted alfredo but I wanted it to be more garlicy so they put extra garlic in it for me. Great service. The only complaint is that the sweet tea could be a little sweeter.
Very nice and super service.
Amazing restaurant! Great food, great service, great atmosphere! A must see if you are anywhere near this place.
Always a good experience and some of the best Italian food anywhere
Always a great experience. Quick service, really good food, and very low prices for what you get.
Such a fun place and great food. Service is great
Second time visiting a Terranova location, first time for the original! Did NOT disappoint! From the Calimari and the cannoli & Lombardi to the apple crumble and chocolate cannoli, everything was delicious and perfect. Our waiter Alex was attentive and anticipated our needs seamlessly. Wonderful experience!
We miss this great restaurant in Athens and look forward to when they return. Until then, well just drive to them!
Good Italian food. Got the veal parm. Very good.
The best steak in north Alabama!
This place is excellent. The food is great. The service is fantastic. Always enjoy eating here.
I have a difficult time passing up the Chicken Scaloppine on every visit. I am certain they have other very good dishes, but I just cannot seem to pass this up! On the last visit, dinner for two with salad and sodas was $52 with tip, but we had leftovers for another meal. Service was efficient and friendly.
We were scared, because We walked in with 1 hour until closing. But, wow!!!! The food was awesome and so was the service. We had the Ribeye Briscatta and the Trio Plate. The Steak was really flavorful and juicy. The Trio Plate had the best Chicken Parm Ive ever had. The Alfredo was creamy heaven. Parking: Lots of parking.
New, smaller menu due to supply issues. Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable about menu items. She promptly addressed an issue regarding the sauce on the Pasta Portofino. The sauce was much thinner than usual. There was only a 10-minute wait for a table. The tables and booths were still separated re covid suggestions. It was a Sunday evening ~5 p.m.
Great pasta dishes. Wonderful ribeye. The best chocolate cake. And some of the best mozzarella sticks (triangles) I ve ever had. Would highly recommend
Food was amazing fresh and a great price. Very friendly environment will go back again! Loved it.
The chicken scallopini is the best in this area! ... And I should know. Homemade sauce and fresh bread with an olive dipping sauce that is addictive. This is one of Huntsvilles little known secrets for authentic Italian.
I have been hearing about Terranova s for years from coworkers and finally decided to try it after work. I have a pretty restrictive diet so it s hard to find much without dairy or red meat while also enjoying authentic Italian flavors (not just grilled salmon/chicken). I was kind of worried about ordering the Marsala as the description said sweet and I ve never had sweet chicken Marsala before but I assumed it was a hint of sweet and ordered it. My husband had the trio. He enjoyed his meal, albeit on the heavy side (very cheesy and greasy). The Marsala was fine just too sweet for me. I think they make it sweet to appeal to more peoples taste buds but fair warning if you are an Italian food connoisseur this isn t what you are used to. I scraped off most of the sauce. I would consider this a southern aka Alabama style Italian food. Very heavy dishes, a lot of it using lots of heavy cream and cheese, think bechamel sauces. It was worth a try but I think I ll continue my search for authentic Italian food.
Delicious italian food, very nice ambience. Well be back soon! Also thanks to Alex for the excellent service and great recommendations!
This place was awesome! I have come to expect such low quality food and service since the pandemic; however, this place totally knocked it out of the park with service and food quality! We will be back!
Great experience with the family here. Everyone liked their food and the waiter was very prompt and professional. I ordered the steak and it was cooked just how I liked it. Prices were fair for all the options when comparing to other Italian joints. Similar prices to Olive Garden but much better food quality. Good indoor environment.
I hear they use vegetable oil instead of olive oil. Im happy to be told otherwise, but that is literally the most disgusting thing Ive ever heard come from an Italian restaurant. Vegetable oil is poison, not to mention an affront to Italian cuisine. EDIT - Well then what do you use?
This place is amazing in fact its some of the best Italian food from a restaurant I have found so far the sauce they used reminded me a lot of my grandmothers recipe so it was very nastalgic for me strongly recommend a few orders of their fried mozzarella one plate will never be enough!
Food was delicious, service was a little slow, but very polite, would definitely come here again.
This was so good. Creamy and rich.. I got full and was happy. Best Birthday dinner.
This place is always the best! Ive never been disappointed here
Always one of my favorite places to eat, independently owned, consistently great food, great & friendly service, love the comfortable atmosphere!! Missing out if you havent eaten here, best Italian!!
Food was really good.
Pretty awful, overall. I have no clue how this place is so highly rated on Google Reviews. When we were walking to our table, the first thing I noticed was the parmesan cheese jar sitting on the bench in close proximity to the dining tables with no lid or anything on it - just sitting on the bench all by itself. The oil for the bread and oil tasted like vegetable oil instead of the usual olive oil. It was terrible. The chicken parmesan, marked as a favorite item on their menu, tastes microwaved, and was certainly nothing special. Even the server seemed like he was tired of working there, but has to make rent somehow. We will definitely not be returning to Terranovas. Im not normally one to leave negative reviews, but damn. Find a better option elsewhere.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend. A+
We love Terranovas! The food is fabulous! It is Italian cuisine, but you can get a great steak here as well. Their kids pan pizza is with a thin crust and it is delicious! The wait staff is outstanding! You can order by phone and pick up as well. Parking: Terra Novas is located at the end of a shopping strip. There is plenty of parking around the side or in the front of the restaurant. They have handicap parking available. No reservations are necessary first come first serve.
Atmosphere was great. Service was wonderful. Date was even better. Food was spot on!
Private luncheon for a colleague with a courteous staff and great food.
Rob was fantastic. Even though they did not have very many vegetarian dishes , his service was outstanding. Missed the eggplant parmesan. Need more vegetarian options.
Michelle was awesome! Highly recommend the scalopinni and the terranovas trio. Definitely will be coming back!
Great customer service but the food just wasn t good.
Sort of a generic US Italian restaurant. Most of the food had little flavor. The red sauce had no garlic in it. I didnt try the white sauce, but given the distinct lack of the smell of garlic cooking, Im going to guess it was also tasteless. Ditto for any visuals on classic Italian seasonings like oregano or basil. Bizarre palm sized glob of bread instead of traditional Italian bread. Atmosphere was generic mall restaurant. Overall, I would put this place several pegs below Olive Garden. Not a place Id return to on my own accord.
We are looking for places to regularly go as we just moved to Huntsville. We decided to drop in to Terranovas and we were blown away. Every table gets bread to dip in olive oil and seasoning, there were lots of alcoholic drink options, but the food was the star. I got Chicken Marsala and my partner got Pasta Portofino with chicken added. It was a lovely experience and I will be recommending this to all family that visit.
Great food.
Amazing pasta
I go here for the salmon and for the chips and Spinach dip its the best.
Love this place, really good food, great customer service
Love the food here. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was a large serving (more than I should be eating) but I just never stopped eating it. Suddenly it was gone.
