Im really unhappy about my food tonight. I been coming here for years and I really would like to continue but not if my food is messed up cause I work to hard for my money

As always THE BEST!!!! If you are new to Huntsville and the area, you need to go to the place all of us locals love and enjoy! Bandito Burrito Co is my favorite food that I put in my mouth, seriously! It really doesnt matter to me, the CCV, chile rellenos, enchiladas, No Carne, taco salads....my personal most favorite is the picadillo dinner!!!!! Stop in and tell them the universe has finally blessed you with the knowledge of Bandito Burrito Its a part of Huntsville you cant miss and will always crave.

I have been a regular customer at Bandito Burrito since moving back to Huntsville in 1992. Love the food and the atmosphere.

This place is one of our favorites. We go at least once a week, the food is delicious and reasonably priced with a cool punk atmosphere. And DONT SLEEP ON THE GRAPE KOOL AID!!! it is BOMB!!!

I love to get the combo burrito with a side of rice and hot sauce. Chips and cheese dip. Then pour the hot sauce on the rice and stir it up! Perfecto! Still the greatest in town, Hands down...

My friend friend hated his enchilada so he gave it to me so I got coke burrito and enchilada for only 8 bucks. Loved the atmosphere and food. My friend referred to it as doo doo. I still want to go again. Btw they gave us Styrofoam but the other patrons had silverware.

I ate here, and it was great! Reasonable prices for food, the serving size of the food was good, and the food was delicious!! I will be back to enjoy at some point in the future!

Having previously lived in an area with a lot of Latinos, the food here is at best the most average and unseasoned Ive had. With that being said, its very cheap and if money were tight this would be a great option. It is definitely not good food though.

I called an hour prior to picking up my food to place my order. The reason you call in an order is to prevent you from waiting in the lines correct? Well when I arrived, the line, as I knew it would be, was almost out the door. So I tell the woman at the register hat I had a call in order. She said Oh well youre still going to have to wait. I took my brown face and green money elsewhere. Why take call in orders over the phone if you still plan to make the customer wait? Needless to say I wont be back.

The first thing that hit me was the incredible smell of cigarette smoke. I was incredibly stunned walking through the door. But Ive read everyone says the food is good and whatever. Well whoever said the food was good is smoking 20 packs a day and cant taste anymore. Everything felt that it came from a can. The salsa that came with the chips tasted as if it was fermenting or just about to turn. The queso was also leaving a weird after taste. For 30$ for two people I expected at least a sizeable portion but it was about 1 tamale for 13 dollars which is insane because the plate is half beans and rice that tastes terrible. Dont believe the hype there are better Mexican restaurants.

The workers were really nice and it s a cool looking restaurant so I hate to give this a low rating but I got food poisoning from here and feel absolutely terrible. :(

I wouldnt want to eat in or take friends to this place to dine in. The roof is leaking and they have these big bags catching the water. Also it doesnt look clean inside, but its a popular spot for Mexican food

Well first I want to say Ive been going here since the 1990s and I have to say another has changed I did review in foremost there were people outside smoking and I am for certain they did not wash there hands not alone I was rushed to pick in order I would honestly rate this 6/10 Im pregnant and last night I was so sick this use to be a good place to eat idk whats changed maybe the hands of the person preparing the food eww

Service was fine and the building, while small, was inviting and nice. I ordered the #7 Dinner which was 3 chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. I cannot say I have ever had enchiladas that had less flavor than these did. The chicken was extremely dry and fell apart just by touching it with a fork. The flavor was just non-existent. The rice and beans were fine. I would rate my top 4 Mexican restaurants as Trojas, Rosie s, Fuentes, then Bandito. Maybe other food items have more flavor, but I m not sure I want to spend another $21 to find out.

Ive had better frozen burritos. It came out lukewarm, the salsa tasted tasted like canned tomatoes with some cilantro. Instead of eating here go get a frozen burrito and a jar of salsa.

Ive been going since 92. The food is great. I recommend and get the Raven and No Carne. Great selection of beer and (strong) margarita. I cant say or get enough of Bandito hot sauce! Vegetarian options: The Raven and No Carne top my list.

Today I did a pick up order... in and out right?!?!?? no... the service is usually pretty damn good, as long as the curley haired skinny girl pays attention and not on her phone. The other girl had to kind of jump into help... the skinny girl jus walked away!!! terrible customer service today!!!!

I am an out of towner from Michigan, first time I have ever had Bandito Burrito Co. and I absolutely loved it. It was plenty of food, reasonably priced and really good. I would 100% recommend, staff was nice, I had limited interaction. Thank you for the good food yall!

Really nice little burrito shop.

Good food but the people who work there can be so rude. As i was leaving (still have no clue what i did) one of the employees yelled plz dont come back in a very rude tone. This is the second time and employe there got to agressive. Good food but done come here if u can be sensitive to people, completely rude

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. OVER PRICED, COLD AND BLAND FOOD! AND They dont give you a receipt because they are DECEITFUL! The aforementioned needs no explanation; it is what it is. However, the deceitful part, is because the tall lady - with short curly bob - charged us for an entire entree, we did NOT order. We called in our order and picked it up within 10 min. We drove 3 min. away to the soccer field and discovered the food was ice cold. We called to let them know our problem and requested a refund for the un eaten items ( including the item we didnt order) The lady said Okay and she would see us when we got there when we got there she didnt want to give us a refund and told us that we ordered the item that shes stuck in on us! We paid $43, in good faith, trusting that the food was going to be okay Ill never go back. I dont recommend this place. Im very sorry, I recommended it to my family member, who was visiting from California.

This is by far the best Mexican food Ive ever been to. I love tamales but most restaurants make them kinda just ok. But the tamales here are so flavorful. The burritos are fantastic too! Go there ASAP!!!

Been coming here since it opened, and every visit home since I moved away. Great food, great people, and a purely unique atmosphere. You know you want some Vegetarian options: Ask, and they will accommodate!

Bandito is a whole experience. Chill vibe, nice people, tasty food. This is one of my favorite places in HSV. Be sure to check the wall for upcoming events too.

A Huntsville staple. Burrito Bandito has been in business for over two decades and it shows. the beans are everything. everything else is secondary.

Been eating here for over 30 years. Excellent food and a laid back atmosphere. Picadillo burrito and pork Mexican tacos are delicious menu choices.

A local staple. The food is consistent. The building is old and hard to maintain, but they get consistently high health inspection scores while brand new restaurants in newly renovated buildings (looking at you downtown and bridge street) cant do the same. Speaks volumes Vegetarian options: Theyll customize your did. If you want a dish with the meat removed, different beans, cheese added, etc. they will do it. Parking: Sometimes cramped, but more than enough.

First time here today and lunch was great!

Great food love the rice

Small place but has a few tables of you wish to dine in. Most people were ordering, take out. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. The staff was great.

I am so sad that I have been frequenting Campus 805 for years, and tonight is the first time I tried Bandito. Because IT IS EFFING PHENOMENAL! Wonderfully crunchy tortilla chips, food to fit almost any picky eater [I am a little bit picky, and I was dining with a group of several kids. Everything was delicious!! Everyone loved it! I will definitely be back, often! .... I might be eating my leftovers right now...

Freaking delicious. Had the smoked chicken burrito, made deluxe. Lots of fun in there! The queso has a kick to it so hold back if youre a weenie.

Bandito burrito has been here in Governors drive since early 90s and I have been going back since. Straightforward, laid-back, and good food and service are attributes of Bandito. Give a shout out to Oscar if you happen to see him. Vegetarian options: Look at the big board for vegetarian. Recommend the No Carne burrito and chips / hot sauce, or the green bean burrito (Chili Verde sauce)

My fiance took me here on our fist date 4 years ago and now we make it our #1 thing to do on our anniversary. We also eat there time to time in between too cause it is our favorite restaurant in Huntsville. Always have amazing food and service! Also dont skip out on those brownies they on the counter they are good!!

Had a taste for Mexican and thought about Bandito. Wife was not familiar with the place. Is has a campy, dive bar atmosphere. Its cool and cozy. We both had the chili relleno, enchilada rice beans and chips combination. The food arrived and it was very colorful, hot and fresh. Big portions of thick flavorful cheese topoed beans and thick ,red tinged rice with a nice body to them, The chili relleno and enchilada were not the huge, plate sized ones you get at the every day Mex place. These were smaller but the texture flavor and taste were great. The cheese inside was sooo good! Wife exclaimed this food is good. A rare comment from her. If you want tasty Mex food no wont regret trying this place.

This is not real Mexican food. People were nice but nachos are just processed fake cheese some lettuce and sour cream. Meat taste like it came out a can.

The Green bean is what I always get since the very first time I was like 12 -13 years old there chicken tamales are the best Ive ever ever had smoked chicken burrito so delicious and the rice and beans and the service is always outstanding they will be jam packed and still give you the best service and this is why they have stayed around so long the staff is amazing

I used to eat here often and enjoyed the vegetarian options but the past 2 times Ive been, my order hasnt even been edible. The latest time I ordered veggie tamales and they all were uncooked when I got home and opened them up. Like as in the tamale was just raw dough... guess they forgot to cook them that day but It was a major waste of money at $3.50 a pop and I was still starving. Because of the past two visits I think Ill keep my distance for a while. I hope things get better though. This once was a fave!

Friendly workers but bad Mexican food. Came here for authentic Mexican food but was served Americanized Mexican food. Theyve labeled themselves as a Mexican restaurant, but theyre not lol. I got the tacos, and its literally something I could make in my kitchen. Would not come back again.

We are out of towners and we loved this place. We walked in with our family of seven and they didn t say ew kids but gave us incredible service. The tamales were delicious and flavorful. Everything tasted great. Even the chips were fresh.

Decent pre concert food, burrito was a bit weak overall which it had more stuff and flavor. Would try again given the good reviews and order something different.

Not fancy... Good food, good people, reasonable prices, and a nice beer selection. An addendum, 6 yrs. later from this original post. I still visit Bandito whenever I can. Good people, good food, still not fancy but thats rarely a sign of a good place.

First time to eat here. Very whimsical, interesting place. Structure looked unstable and roof had leaks which was a little disturbing but overlookable. Thought the steak burrito sounded great but wasnt real steak. Im pretty sure they used used those frozen steak-ums so I was pretty disappointed . I would still be willing to go back and try something different though. Im sure I missed something cute hidden within all the busy decor.

I just had my first Bandito. I had Door Dash deliver. I just want to say first of all it was huge..I ordered a dinner portion. Regular would have been enough. Best hot salsa. Went tonight , the black headed girl told me what I was trying to order they didnt have and they didnt have a website. I told her Im sitting here looking at the website! She hung up the phone and I had to call back. Then when I got my order, tryed to show the guy what I was talking about on the site, and he rudely let me know he didnt have time for this! Where do they find these people! They ruin peoples business!!! I drive almost 40 miles to get food. Then treat me like this. Im handicap and cant come in . The last time I was there ,the older woman was very nice. I probably wont be back! At my age ,I dont need this. I was taught better, than to be rude to older people. Plus hang up and not take your order. When I called back , the tall blonde guy took it. The only thing wrong with food, the beans were cold. Plus they werent busy!

I ordered the Taco Salad and it was incredibly delicious and filling. I think it was the best one yet that Ive had in all of Huntsville! Definitely will be ordering more!

My first time eating here and I ve lived in Huntsville for 20 years now, absolutely delicious!!! I ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a green chili bean burrito. The beans tasted amazing and the sauce and salsa were even better. I will definitely be coming back.

Dont know how the rest of the food is but the tamales are pathetic. Worst tamales Ive ever had by far, mustve nuked one too long, could hardly pull the stiff husk off of it. Nothing that I saw on anyone elses Styrofoam looked that great either, cheap salsa too. Cant see why this place had a crowd besides maybe the novelty of the sticker coated walls and windows.

Best Texmex in town!

I love this restaurant! It has been a regular go to in my world for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, that changed a few nights ago. Our original plan was to dine in, until we encountered the cashier, whos behavior was atrocious! In just the few minutes it took to take our order this cashier went from short and impolite to down right rude! She acted as if we were annoying her with our questions about entrees and their ingredients. To the point we were told to just look at the menu. She was not helpful or inviting, hence the reason we decided to get our food to go instead of dining.

Burrito was OK, it was like Cali mex style. I got the steak. But the atmosphere makes the joint. We re from FL and pulled in and directly in-front of our car was young poster of very good friend Buck Smith! That was cool, everything on the walls is amazing and punk rock was going. We sat outside and once again the eclectic atmosphere was as on point. Swing in to check it out. It was not expensive and filled us up.

Amazing food price is great. Just can be little crowded at times only bad thing.

The inside could use some new decor. My nieces and I love the food. We go at least once a month. No matter how busy the place is, the staff is always nice. My main problem is not enough parking. Vegetarian options: My niece is a vegan. I think they should have a bigger selection at least more vegetarian options. Parking: Just not big enough Wheelchair accessibility: The inside is always packed. I dont see how it could possibly be wheel chair accessible. Im pretty sure you couldnt get a wheel chair in the bathroom.

I love this place!

The food and service were both good. Their beans were great! My husband enjoyed the green burrito, but the portion size was super small. To be fair, the price was low, but being our first time here, we had no idea how little that particular burrito would be. Some burritos had a price range on the menu, but we didnt inquire, and nobody offered. May have something to do with the smaller burrito because we did see larger ones people were eating. It could also be the addition of beans and rice to make it a plate instead of a la carte. The inside smelled strongly like a smoking restaurant, which it didnt appear to be. The walls had an odd plethora of items, and the place definitely looks like its been around a while, reminiscent of Cracker Barrel meets taco shop. All seats were full when we walked in and there was a steady flow of traffic as we sat and ate. We will be back to try some of the bigger burritos!

Probably the most authentic Mexican food Ive had since relocating from Southern California.
