Highest praise- my man is from New Jersey and he worked in New York. When we moved to Alabama he didn’t even want to try pizza thinking it would never compare with what he had up north. But now he is saying that the variety and the quality of Pane E Vino pizzas has him converted lol. We had Bob Ross, and grandkids had chicken Alfredo. Everything was excellent.

Service was pleasant, as was the patio by the pond and the park. Food (lunch) came out quickly. Not over the moon about the food - I would call it standard fare for the price. A little bit disappointed with the marinara that came with my meatballs. Overall a good lunch experience for sure. Most folks probably get the pizza and thinks it's just dandy.

I was visiting Huntsville from Ottawa, Ontario. We were at the park and noticed when looking on Google maps that there was a pizzeria across the street. We went and it was a great choice to go. I highly recommend Pan E Vino. We had the Bob Ross pizza. It's a chicken, Alfredo, bacon, roasted red peppers, and parmesam pizza. Such a good pizza. The staff was friendly and helpful and only checked in once to make sure everything was good. I hate it when restaurant staff come by every 5 minutes or so. I am very pleased with the food, the service, and the atmosphere. I will definitely be going to Pane E Vino again.

A drink and a full pizza where the seasonings are perfected and the taste is immaculate for less than $20?? Along with an amazing atmosphere and kind service I was blown away from Pane E Vino and shocked it took me this long to try it out. I would recommend the Michelangelo for a good margarita style pizza and the amazing selection of beer they have on tap. My friend got two beers along with his pizza for it to only cost $25 and for how good it was I will for sure be coming back !

Gluten-free review on Pane E Vino Pizzeria from the 4/14/2024. Their gluten-free pizza can be made with any of their flavor combinations, or your own. It is not listed on their website, so my husband asked as we walked in. It was a gorgeous day with a packed VBCC and there was also an event in the park. Thankfully we got right in, and seated out on the covered patio. Service was excellent, even with the huge line out the door. Pizza arrived In a timely manner. Listen y'all, I had to confirm that it was gluten free because it was so freaking good! I asked about the crust and everything! It's tender and bendy. I was so impressed. Note that the sauce has a bit of heat to it, but I loved it. Highly recommend. Lastly, if you love it like we did, leave an awesome tip too.🍕

First time eating here with some friends to watch the Derby, and the food was absolutely delicious. Their drink selection is very diverse, unique, and full of flavor. Definitely perfect for the warm summer nights in the park! It’s enjoyable to have a meal right there in downtown, by the lake and enjoying the scenery of what there is to offer around! The food from start to finish was so flavorful and the portions were perfect. The menu is very diverse and also has “build your own” sections as well, so very accommodating for those with allergies or tolerances. Pricing wasn’t too bad, but for example, I ordered a calzone and got maybe half of a dipping cup of marinara to go with it. When I asked if I could get more, it was simply brought to me, but never mentioned that I would be charged a dollar for it. I wouldn’t have ordered it otherwise! Outside of that, we had maybe 3 different waiters/waitresses during our meal? Our first one left with her trainee, our second one disappeared, and the third was the original one from the first to take our order, and then had one or two others in between that helped with little things. Kind of frustrating and when we had a friend come and join, he was never acknowledged and for 30 minutes it stayed like this, so we had to go inside and ask for the check to be brought out so we could leave. The experience could have been great from start to finish, but the service inconsistencies, and the fact that we were there for almost 3 hours was a little absurd. We just moved not too long ago and would definitely come back!! Just ideally with better service, in and out time, and maybe not being charged high prices for another half dipping cup size of marinara again.

The food was fine. The baked ziti had no flavor and the sausage that cost $4 extra was thrown on top and had like 10 little pieces. The pizza was nothing special but definitely not the best in the downtown area. Service was slow despite several empty tables and what seemed like alot of staff. We never got drink refills for sodas. Lots of foot traffic through the restaurant to use the bathroom inside the art museum.

Absolutely terrible. Overpriced cardboard. The prices are insane for such bland generic frozen food. The pizza was not just overcooked but burned and black on the bottom. Send it back and its even worse the second time. The hostess was extremely rude and condescending. They also had birds flying around inside above tables! Its also interesting that you sit and watch them let multiple people walking in use the restroom but then they turn away others. You can watch the difference of who they refuse and judge for yourself.....save some money and order Dominos. Wheelchair accessibility: You cant get a wheelchair in the door at all.

Went twice while on a trip to the area. First time was dinner and had the chicken Parm hero. Chicken and the ciabatta roll was good, the red sauce was chunky, dry and way too sweet. The second time was for lunch and I split a meat lovers pizza and it was very good. Nice crust, toppings and cheese, all very good.

1. They dont honor reservations, we made and waited for a later reservation to sit on the patio. That was completely pointless. 2. EVERYONE here is so unfriendly, service is always horrible. Ive been made to go here three times, trust me, it doesnt get better. 3. The calzones definitely do not come with ricotta. I dont even know why they put it on the menu. 4. You can be busy and not kick chairs, slam the kitchen doors, and almost knock your customers out with plates. 5. After sitting through a miserable experience you get a 25% tip button option highlighted for you. I chose 22% because that former server guilt gets me, but come on. Thats real audacity right there.

Dined here tonight, as soon as my boyfriend and I sat down at the bar the manager glared at us and told us we are not allowed to sit there, even though we have twice before. We then moved tables twice as EVERY table was reserved. The host beyond rude and honestly every person in this establishment was unprofessional. Super disappointing because they do have decent pizza and food. But to start a dining experience in this manner is a huge turn off.

I will start with the good. The server and the hostess were very nice. The location of the restaurant is nice because it overlooks the park and it s nice to walk around the park after dinner to burn off some calories. Now for the bad. I gave this place 2 stars because the food was just ehhh. I took my husband there for his birthday and we were rather disappointed with the food. I got the lasagna and he ordered the ravioli. The lasagna came out bubbling around the edges, but when I cut into it, it was luke warm in the center. The lasagna also tasted like a microwaveable lasagna. It lacked sauce and was dry. It had a sourness and saltiness to what sauce was there. Worst lasagna I have ever had, but it wasn t so gross that I couldn t eat it. I did box it up and took it home because it needed to be heated up as mine was served to me cool. I ate it the next day after I doctored it up a bit. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned and it was awful. I don t think the bartender knew what they were doing. It tasted like cherry syrup and was bright red. It had two cherries and two orange slices in it and a large cube of ice, but hardly any liquid. The drink consisted of four sips and it was $10, so that s not cool. His ravioli tasted like a frozen tv dinner just as the lasagna did. And the sauce was sour and salty too. Both meals said they came with garlic bread, but it didn t get brought to us. I inquired about it and the server said they were phasing the bread out and you have to ask for it, that should say that in the menu if that s the case. And what kind of Italian place phases out garlic bread?! She brought us the garlic bread and it looked like half of a hotdog bun and wasn t very good. We sat outside on the patio which was nice, but they ended up seating two ladies at the table next to us. The tables were too close together, I could have reached over and put my had on the lady across from me. It was very very awkward for us. We couldn t even really have a conversation because it was so awkward. There was plenty of room to put them at a different table on the patio, so I m not sure why they chose to seat them there so close to us. Again, this place wasn t horrible and the food wasn t gross, but it just wasn t worth $60 for food that seemed like a Stouffer s tv dinner. Doubt that we will be back. It s a shame too because I love the location, but I can t justify that much money for what we were served. They would have to seriously revamp their menu or buy better product to serve people and teach the bartenders how to make cocktails properly. We didn t say anything to anyone because what was the point? We didn t want to be rude or have anyone spit in anything. We just paid and left. Opinions and taste varies, so you may feel differently about the food than we did.

I was disappointed. The pasta was underwhelming. We had 2 orders of Spaghetti, 2 of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and an order of cheesy bread. Spaghetti sauce was runny and sweet. The chicken on the fettuccine tasted like it had been frozen and neither dish had much flavor. The cheesy bread was the best part. It was made from pizza dough which had great chew and flavor, but it only had a sprinkling of cheese and Italian seasoning, for $12 it was a little less than 1/2 the size of a large pizza. We got it to-go, which was challenging as it is in downtown Huntsville downstairs and behind the Museum of Glass. It is hard to find and there are only 6 parking spots in front of the museum (which were taken at the time I was there). Have to walk several blocks with arm loads of food. It is OK if you are in the area and dont mind walking but do not recommend it for to-go orders. The atmosphere is nice, if you can find it. Should have gotten Olive Garden, at least there is more flavor, the price is about the same, you know the chicken is frozen, the bread sticks are complementary, and they have parking. Maybe the Pizza is worth the trip?

Well, we had high hopes because we like Grill on Main. Looking online, it appeared that all pastas had the gluten free option for my gluten sensitive spouse. We ordered one of the ravioli entrees and paid the upcharge for gluten free. At pickup, they said that the specific ravioli in our order is not gluten free. Despite us paying the fee, there was no offer to refund the fee, provide a free dessert or something else to make up for the misleading information on their ordering portal, or make any actual apology except saying they will treat the dish as gluten free (ie. special handling). That does nothing for a person whose body can react poorly to some foods with gluten. Not going back, just because of this incident. I know restaurants and other businesses have difficult staffing issues, but this is not solely a staffing issue.

This has been a restaurant that Ive seen since it was built and I have said many many years that I gotta check that place out and I finally did - I had an awesome experience but my partner did not - so I have mixed reviews on this one. Vegetarian options: So on the menu there are two vegetarian pizaas - I tried one and my partner tried the other, the server made recommendations on how she preferred one of the vegetarian dishes that was the pizza with goat cheese and she substitutes the marinara sause for the pesto sauce - I do not like goat cheese but I tried the recommended pizza except made as a calzone - it was absolutely incredible!!! I couldnt believe how delicious and complete the flavors spread across my pallette but you had to use the dipping sauce to achieve thhat richness - the crust was flawless and the crisp and rich flavor profile was sending me - I was wondering why my partner was so confused to my joy - and then we switched plates and knew immediately - she asked what I rated my plate before we switched and I said 5 stars hands down - after we switched I said, yes this is a 3 star if that - this tastes nowhere close to mines , she only wanted a nibble of my calzone and then ended up finishing my plate because it truly was good... So Id say the consistency across the board may leave some things to be desired... I truly loved my meal but with both of us getting calzone and there being such a great difference even down to the crust I would have to give an overall 4 stars it was a first time visit after many years of saying I would stop by and check it out. But ultimately since you can customize ingredients you can ultimately always have a good vegetarian experience - once you know what flavors that your pallette enjoys and which flavors to stay away from and then pray for the consistent perfect crust I had on my first bite.

Been here in HSV area since 2017. This is the best pizza weve had yet. The only reason I rated a 4 is because the menu read $4 for Bud light or Ultra, but they charged $5/. Also, I asked for extra onions & cheese, $3/pizza for onions & $4/pizza for cheese, a little excessive, especially onions... Parking: Construction in the area so made parking worse.

Fine dining prices, fast food service. If I could I would give this restaurant zero stars. Plenty of staff that stood around and didnt wait on us. The food was awful. I actually commented in the restaurant that Dominos is better pizza, especially the cheese. Very low quality cheese. Our waitress came after we sat for 15 minutes, gave us water straight from the sink (I watched her.) Then we never saw her again. Other staff brought our meals, but thats it. After finishing our meals, with empty glasses for 25 minutes. We flagged down other staff for our check. Magically our waitress returned to ask if our experience was enjoyable. Really? Where were you exactly? I requested to speak to a manager which she replied, Oh, I can stand here and talk to you all night. I have nowhere to go. Yes, she refused to get the manager. That was it for me. We stood up and walked straight out. After which, I called the restaurant and told the manager exactly why we left without paying and why they need to seriously clean house. Lazy staff, below average food, unbused tables. Just an utter mess. Stay away.

Wait staff is hit or miss. Our waiter acted insulted (or wanted to insult me?) after I asked if we paid at the counter or the table (He smirked Oh, I thought you had been here before...you seemed to know the menu.) We had been there before...plenty of times...but he ignored the credit card sitting on top of our bare ticket for so long we thought the procedure may have changed. It also didnt have a jacket which is typical if you pay at your seat. From seat to departure took nearly 2hrs. We waited 10min for drinks, 45min for food (our ticket got lost in the kitchen), and another 25min to get ticket and pay. The waiter says he suffers from short term memory loss and said he was tired because he had been there since 9a. Maybe it will get better in time. We wont be back for a while. Sad because the food is always excellent...

Started with the hostes, walking in the door before us and just slamming it in our faces instead of holding door for us to come. She then proceeded to tell us it would be 1.5 to 2 hour wait when entire inside was empty. Manager came at that moment and corrected her and seated in 5 minutes. Apparently it made hostess mad as the server and her decided to rush us through dinner. She delivered our check with our meal. No offer of desert or checking to see if our meal was correct, which it was not we received the wrong pizza. We asked she argued that it was what we ordered. At that point we just settled on pizza that was delivered. Then proceeded to go complain to the hostess who was mad we were seated. Just not an great experience. Definitely felt like we were not welcome and expected to leave ASAP.

Price point was too high for the quality. We paid $42 plus tip for fettuccine alfredo and a calzone with 2 complimentary waters. Seemed like there was an effort to look higher end than it actually is and just felt cheap. Plus the front door knob was broken and the entrance wasnt clear. There was no chicken available for any chicken dishes and from what we overheard at other tables the fryer was broken as well so mozzerela sticks were off the table too. Ordered the chicken fettuccine minus the chicken, of course since there wasnt any in stock, and was still charged full price!! It wasnt very warm, noodles were undercooked, and the sauce didnt taste like much of anything. Needless to say it was unsatisfactory and we barely ate our meals. The couple of slices of pizza and drinks from Sams club afterwards was better and cost less than the tip at Pane E Vino. Not what was expected based off the website.

Really disappointed. Looked like a cool place from the pictures but theres nothing special whatsoever. Everything just felt cheap. As far as the food, we wouldve been better off at little Caesars because at least you know its going to suck there but at least its cheap. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich but they were out of chicken, CHICKEN!!! Why would you let a staple item be out of stock? Why not run down to the piggy wiggly and grab some....... Honestly I wish we wouldve just left then, shouldve been our red flag. Pretty sure the ham in the calzone I ended up with was some cheap deli meat sliced up. Wasnt much flavor except the marinara sauce that tasted like it was freshly opened from the can. The cheese tasted ok. Its so disappointing going out to eat, spending good money for mediocre trash that tastes no better than something out of the freezer section at Walmart.

Ive been twice and both times my food has been amazing. Ive gotten pasta each time and its been the perfect balance of light and hearty. Even with food restrictions, I was able to eat what felt like a normal meal. It took about 10-15 minutes longer to get a table the second time, but the food is so good that I cant really complain. (Both times were for a party of 3.) Dietary restrictions: I have a soy allergy and the servers spoke with the cooks to make sure my order could be modified/served safely. I feel very comfortable being able to eat here

December 22, 2023

Well, my family and our 3 friends tried to go today, but when we got there, we were met with the most confusing response from a waiter? The owner? I m not sure who this man was, but we entered through the museum, so we came in from the back, asked where we order, how to be seated, etc. There were open seats outside and several inside. He said the outside area was reserved, which was understandable, and asked a waitress if another table was available. When she said no, he replied sorry folks, I don t have any room. Not, it ll be 20 minutes 45 minutes even an hour wait until a table frees up, just sorry, no room. Pene E Vino looks like a lovely place to eat and based on previous reviews, I would assume it is great food. However, being in Huntsville for the weekend from Florida, I would have to say that if we ever return, I won t be back to this restaurant. We ended up walking to Sam & Gregg s, where the food and service were great. I gave this review two stars instead of one, based solely on the aesthetic of the restaurant. Beautiful view overlooking a pond.

This place repeatedly seems to have a real issue with following very simple requests. Multiple visits, specific preparation instructions have been given and each time, failed to be honored by wait and kitchen staff. My husband and I went for the first time tonight. We were very excited but were quickly very disappointed. We waited @15 minutes to be seated which was not a problem at all. We expected to wait as it was a Friday night. We were seated at a 2 top directly in the middle of the patio. We waited for a while for our server but no one ever came. My husband tried to stop a server two separate times, she had walked by our table probably 10 times, but she just looked at him and kept going. My husband works in retail and I waited tables for 10 years, we both understand busy nights, understaffing but rudeness we don t tolerate. If someone would have just acknowledged us and put some water in the empty glasses we sat in front of for 22 minutes, we would have been fine. As it was, we left without anyone ever approaching our table. We were made to feel that our presence was an inconvenience to the server. It was a disappointing and unnecessarily bad experience. With all the other choices in our neighborhood I very highly doubt that we will try again

Concerts at the Park on June 19th, ordered from Pan e Vino. Ordered a pepperoni and bacon pizza and a lasagna. The lasagna is tasty. However, they didnt include a fork with which to eat it because they didnt have anymore. Would have been nice to know BEFORE I placed the order. The pepperoni and bacon pizza? There was only one piece of pizza with bacon on it. Bacon that I was charged for. I took the pie back minus a piece because the kids were starving, and the manager? Owner? argued with me that there was bacon on the pizza. He was rude and insistent. So you tell me. Did I get what I paid for? Did I deserve the rude attitude?

Staff was nice and food was okay. Pizza was a bit on the oily side but pretty good. Tiramisu was 90% cream and not great. Overall not bad but could be better.

December 22, 2023

Im sure some of their food is delicious, but I spent almost $40 ordering a gluten-free pizza with a couple of toppings, plus taxes and delivery fees and tip, and after one bite I had to throw it out. As an actual Italian who grew up in an actual Italian family, I can tell you that while some people like to make a zesty sauce, standard pizza sauce is not supposed to burn your mouth. I have a sensitivity to hot spices and just had to throw away $40 worth of what was supposed to be just a plain personal size (12) cheese pizza with black olives and roasted red peppers and chicken. I tasted each individual topping separately and those were not the culprits, the sauce itself is extremely spicy. I know this is the south and Southerners love everything to make your mouth feel like its on fire, but I dont understand the need to make something spicy that is not intended to be spicy. People can add red pepper flakes if they want. But I cannot remove the spice from the pizza I just wasted all of that money on. If you are going to make a food that is pretty universal throughout the world in a way that is not standard, the least you could do is write that somewhere on the menu. Especially when its so ridiculously expensive for such a small amount of food. Extra zesty marinara sauce or something like that Ive had pizza in 13 states and four countries and this is the first time Ive ever had this issue. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza crust available. Very bready, but Ive had worse.

Excellent all the way around. All of us enjoyed our food. The staff was wonderful. A large group without a reservation arrived as we were paying out bill and staff were able to happily and quickly accommodate them (heavy rain outside, so Im sure staff was pleased they had people to serve). The food was exceptional, and we look forward to coming again next time we are in town. Highly recommend.

December 22, 2023

I have celiacs and ordered the gluten free pizza, what I was served was not gluten free, an hour or two later I threw up several times, this was after questioning the wait staff about the crust. I was told that it was the correct crust and I had nothing to worry about because they have the best gluten free crust I am 6 months pregnant and was visiting from out of town to see a concert. I was not able to attend the concert due to my experience at this restaurant. If you are going to have gluten free offerings you need to be sure, without any doubt, that you know what you are serving customers and watch out for any cross contamination in the kitchen I called the manager as a courtesy so this doesn t happen to others and was met with - oh yeah, we use a cauliflower crust and he would get with the kitchen. He insinuated I should have known better (after confirming with the waitress that it was in fact GF) Come on, even dominos can get it right The least that they could have offered was a refund for the pizza, which was a far cry from the cost of the concert ticket Atmosphere: The inside of the restaurant is sterile and has a horrible atmosphere, it feels like being inside of a fast food chain. The decor had no direction with a mix between all white modern (not the good kind) and old world it was if you were in two different spaces that couldn t make up their minds. The inside had one large table that made the space feel cramped being that it is an extremely small space, the table spacing leaves little room between tables. You felt as if you were going to trip over people walking through the space to get to the restroom Service: The waitress kept going on about the humidity, as if our request to sit outside was an inconvenience to her. I didn t feel the need to explain I don t like dining in my neighbors lap. She would not let it go. She should have cared a little more about the customer and the food she was serving Dietary restrictions: They do not know if they are serving you gluten free crust or regular crust nor do they care

I have to go back. We picked a bad night. It was our fault. Were new in town. Prom night at Big Spring Park is not the night to eat out here (or anywhere, downtown). Were been looking at the place for a while. Its in a great location right next to the Huntsville Museum of Art. Dinner, the museum and a stroll through the park. What could be nicer? Anyway, I had the spaghetti and meatballs, my wife had the chicken parmigiana and my son had the chicken fettuccine. I thought mine was good, the wife said Meh (you cant impress her, shes from NY) and my son will eat anything. (I know, right? Pizzeria and nobody ordered the pizza!) Anyway, Ill go back. They were slammed so it wasnt a good night to judge them on. The fact that we still had a good time speaks well of them. I wouldnt hesitate to eat here. ___________________ We did go back, me, Mrs. Brown and a couple of friends. Theres an elevator that takes you down from the Huntsville Museum straight into Pane E. Vinos back door. Who knew? Anyway, the food was good (everything) and the service was first rate. We ate early and beat the crowd so it was even better. Very pleasant and wed love to do it again.
