Great food and selection. Food always tastes great which could be a result of no deep fryer which means some normal pub fare is not on the menu but the selection is good

Understaffed and very poor customer service. Servers were gossiping by the bar, they can see we are standing and looking at them but no one acknowledged us.

We have tried to dine here multiple times. All the times, we have been treated badly. They don t even take my name and number and give tables to others. It seems they have something against people of colour. Really bad attitude.

Terrible service! I would give this place a 0 if I could. They didn t even bother taking our name down for the table. Other people who walked in later and who happened to not be minorities were immediately asked to put their name on the list. They were blatantly discriminatory. Would not recommend for POC.

Sat on the top deck beautiful view, good food and Excellent service

Stuck my party of 4 in the back corner where the speaker was blasting. Took awhile to be offered drinks. We asked to move when a less loud location table opened up, which was accommodated, we were offered a booth. We moved ourselves to the dirty table. After being at the restaurant for 20 minutes, someone finally came to take our order. Their first words were you know about the wait for food, right? No, we did not. Its at LEAST 45 minutes for food. We left. Complete waste of time. We had two kids aged 7 and 8, and we were all very hungry. If we had been told by the HOSTESS when we ARRIVED 20 minutes before, we would have said thanks anyway and went elsewhere. Waste of time. Kids menu (which was only verbal) was minimal at best. Menu prices were high, youre definitely paying for the view. $25 for nachos is nuts. I had fond memories of this place from years ago and was excited to take my kids, who were thrilled with the glimpse of the view we had. The water in the sinks in the bathroom was so hot I couldnt wash my hands. Literally steaming out of the tap. I wont be going back. Service was below average at best. Not one server or hostess was friendly or welcoming. No one smiled. Not kid friendly. Not worth the trip. Kid-friendliness: NOT kid-friendly

Delicious beers, ribs and burgers.

I have one of the best experiences out at a restaurant in a very long time. It was commendable to have Kaitlyn and Millie as bartenders on Friday night! KAITLYN suggested a fabulous salad which was prepared just as she explained Millie always had Kaitlyn s back, making sure I was well served. You are rockstars, of the service industry excellent I grew up in that industry so congratulations! Thats what makes PuB on the Dock a 5star ***** cheers ADE

Excluding the wait time (which they have a website showing your live wait time, very convenient and thoughtful), everything else was amazing and worth the wait! Highly recommended

We visited the restaurant on a busy weekend attracted by the gorgeous view they provide and the review comments and was looking forward to a pleasant meal . Unfortunately, we did not end up eating there as my experience was marred by the rude behavior of the staff. When I approached the counter, the employee seemed uninterested and dismissive, which made me feel unwelcome. Despite my attempts to ask questions about the sitting arrangement with a small kid , I was met with curt responses and a lack of basic courtesy. The receptionist were extremely unwelcoming and not answering our questions as if they are doing a favour. Customer service is crucial in the hospitality industry, and it s disappointing to see such a lack of it here. I hope the management addresses this issue, as at least myself and my friends are never going back there as no one likes to be disrespected ,nobody is doing anyone a favour here , customers pay the bill for the food ! Please train your staff to be polite and welcoming .We wasted 30 mins just standing !

Honestly I was really hoping this place was a lot better based on the reviews, but it was below average. We waited for about 5mins to be seated, to which no one ever came to the front to seat us, so we just walked it and sat at a booth. Took about another 5min or so before a waitress even noticed we sat down to bring us menus. We wanted to sit outside as it was a nice cool evening unfortunately the layout of the restaurant was really strange and we figured with the way it started we didn t want to take the chance of even longer service. For two people with an appetizer, two main meals and two drinks it was over $100 with tip and to me what we ate was mediocre and not worth the price we paid whatsoever I guess this is what you get in Muskoka cottage country? There were other restaurants in the area and I d probably go to them before here just based on food price alone.

Unbelievably Rude and Discriminatory Service If I could give this place zero stars, I would, and its entirely because of the disgraceful service we received from one of the waitresses. She had a tattoo sleeve and reddish hair, I don t remember her name From the moment she approached our table, her attitude was beyond rude. She took everyone s order but, as I was in the middle of giving mine, she just walked away without a word. This wasn t a one-time slip-up either throughout the meal, she kept walking away while others at the table were speaking, making it clear she had no interest in providing basic customer service. But what really shocked us was her blatant discrimination. She refused to serve people at our table who weren t white, completely ignoring them as if they weren t even there. Its appalling and unacceptable in any setting. To top it all off, she had the nerve to start lecturing us, giving us unsolicited life lessons while talking down to us. It was insulting and condescending. This was one of the worst dining experiences I ve ever had, and I hope the management takes serious action. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment.

Prices are high for what you get. I ordered a black bean burger that came with onion, lettuce, pickles and tomato. It had 1 sliver piece of pickle, a tiny slice of tomato and 1 sliver of onion, asked to get more tomato and pickles for my burger got charged extra for it lol ridiculous. Fries were dry as a fart and the waitress didnt even come to ask how our food was. Husband had a burger and fries with 2 pop order was over 60 bucks. Music was so loud we could barely hear eachother. We sat inside.

I ve never found an atmosphere I loved more, this is my favourite restaurant in town! The hunter sandwich is killer, and when I m not ordering the pub nachos I m drooling over their signature chicken sandwich or the steak salad. The drinks are pricey, but they make them strong. Lower patio is dog-friendly but the rooftop is my favourite for the view! Always packed for good reason

Subpar pub, nothing special. Great view of the water if you re able to sit near it. They don t have a deep fryer, so all items are oven baked. Dietary restrictions: Not many gluten free options.

Too expensive for what the food is. Upcharges to add cheese . Sauce Rather go up the road for delicious home made pasta for the same price.

My wife and I have been loyal customers for 14 years. The pub used to be an amazing place for good food and service at reasonable prices. The last 2 years, the food and service have become poor overall and the prices have been steadily increasing. Way over priced, just ripping people off now. Greed will bite them back. The pub has lost us as customers. Very sad, we used to love the place.

The view is great, but my partner had ordered a burger with cheese and bacon. He didnt get that. He got a burger with only lettuce and tomato. His fries were looking and tasted burnt. I received boneless chicken, but theyre looked to be rice. Why would there be rice when it was a dish with no rice? The staff also appeared to be distracted and seemed not overly happy about being at their jobs.

A quiet place to eat or have a drink, they have an extensive beer and cocktail menu.

We were visiting Huntsville and looking for a place to grab a drink outdoors. Found this pretty nice spot on the Muskoka River right off the downtown core. We didn t want to kill the day so went for the Zero Proof drink options. They have some pretty great drinks that taste very refreshing. Mine was a lime Moscow Mule I believe, ice cold served in a sweet copper cup. Spicy with Jalapeños pieces right in the glass! If you like spicy ginger this is your big drink find for 2024! My wife went for a more fruity option and thoroughly enjoyed hers too. We didn t eat but the food looked good. The servers were very friendly and it is hard to beat the location. It was busy, Boston Pizza across the river looked quiet. YAY for independents!

Always love a trip here. The food isnt the most exciting and is pretty standard pub food, especially for the higher price. But the atmosphere, view and drinks makes it worth while!

We went with good expectations and it turned out to be a failure. The food is good but its nothing special, it doesnt make you feel wow, its generic and expensive for the options they have. I think they overcharge for services because of the location of the place. The staff is not friendly, is distracted and seems to feel overworked. They are not interested in losing customers, when we went it was raining and they didnt even bother about whether we could protect ourselves from the rain under cover (there was a possibility on the deck of the place) while we waited. They simply didnt care if we stayed or left. We were with two elderly people and decided to stay so as not to walk in the drizzle. When I return to Hunstville I wont even think about passing by that place. Quite the opposite of when we visited Boston Pizza, just across the waterway, the next day. We went with a medium expectation and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Super friendly staff, very good location with outdoor terrace and live music, good cocktails and snacks too. Parking: To park on the main street you have to be lucky, it is small and there is a lot of movement. Kid-friendliness: They admit children.

My wife and I stopped by last night. Very loud and busy. Found a spot in a dark corner... I ordered the beef dip and she ordered a rice dish. Both around 25$ each. Beef dip was cold, au jus luke warm. Her dish was good. But for 25$ and a few shaved pieces of meat I wouldnt ordered it again. Ate anyways bc we were starving... food seems a little expensive for portions. If you busy, loud music and tight spaces, then go for it. Service ok but quick.. order food, get food then thats it. Then the machine automatically starts at 18% for tipping...

Just had dinner here tonight. Our servers were great. Drinks came quickly. Our food wasnt good. Fries burnt at the ends? Jerk chicken wrap that didnt taste anything like Jerk chicken. Deluxe pizza wasnt cooked on top but over done on the bottom. Id come back for drinks only but the food is terrible. Id go any where else downtown to eat.

Visited On the Docks Pub with friends after a camping trip. We had pizza and burgers. Theres no parking, the service was slow, and the fries were terrible. The only reason for giving 3 stars is the beautiful view from the docks

Our first time and it was a pleasant experience with the best views. Our server Kaitlyn always had a smile and was very helpful with answering questions about the menu. We ordered the Chicken tacos which were delicious. Parking: There are always people coming and going so parking spots do become available. We parked next to the park just steps away from the pub.

Bad, slow service, sassy waitresses and children working the hostess stand. Our waitress didnt know how to make various drinks and couldnt tell us what was on the beer menu. Never came to do a quality check - never came back through the meal. She never told us her name and didnt give us utensils... Had hostess deliver food 40 mins after ordering.. Her sarcasm and talking back was inappropriate. I understand some people like that and will tip based on banter but not me.

We came here as a lunch stop on our way back to Toronto. The view is really nice. The food was okay but it is on the more pricy side. The service was terrible. We ordered our drinks and one appetizer and our server never came back to take our order till we flag someone down. She also never checked in once with our table until we grabbed her attention. This could due to the fact that we are the only minority there. Would not Recommend.

Great pub in Huntsville right by the water! Food was pretty good, and the service was friendly, if a bit slow. Vegetarian options: Had a great black bean burger, highly recommend. Parking: The parking lot behind the restaurant is shared with many other stores and restaurants on the strip, and it can be challenging to find a spot. There are also spots in front on the street that are paid parking, but very rare to find one during the summer high season.

We had a bad experience with the service, the waitress didn t even look at us when taking order, looked like she was in a bad mood, food is basic and considered overpriced for what it is, as other reviews mention the view is the main attraction here.

Went there the Thursday before my sisters wedding with the bridal party (July 25th at 8pm ish). Everyone was very excited to see eachother and celebrate the bride and groom. We are all quite loud which was mistakened for intoxication. Two groomsmen were intoxicated and the waitress cut our entire group off. It s fine for her to make a decision but it was the delivery and how condescending she was that was frustrating. She said she wouldn t serve the girls either because we called her condescending but we said the delivery of her message was condescending not her as a person. Anyways, for a pub, I find it very hard to believe we are the only loud people she has ever encountered. A pub down the road said that lots of people have issues with this restaurant. Then she was complaining to another table about us which made them want to fight our group. So we left. Apparently she is the manager but I would like to discuss further with owner. Still 0 response from owner.

Had a great dinner here the other night everything we ordered was very delicious ...except the fries I feel they might be frozen based off of the taste but Im not sure . The shrimp bake was delicious and the prime rib flatbread sandwich was also delicious we sat out back outside at the bottom so nice to be out by the water. The mosquitos where a bit bad so make sure to have your bug spray ready .

Wonderful place with a good view

Three floors of pub overlooking the Huntsville docks and Muskoka River. Food was excellent as was our service. There is an accessible ramp to the 1st floor.

Great little stop for a refreshing mixed drink. I just had brushetta but it was yummy! Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps but might be a little tight for a full size wheelchair.

We went a year ago next Wednesday and my husband is STILL talking about the Cesar he had there! Amazing experience! Great care for our dogs on the patio and amazing food and drink! We will be going back! Parking: I would anticipate paid street parking. Very tourist populated location with many parking options, but availability can vary. Kid-friendliness: 100% of what I ve seen was kid friendly, maybe not kid-fun, but they are allowed

We went for a late lunch on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The servers that took our orders were unfriendly and when they brought our food left it without giving us any cutlery, ketchup etc. When I called the server back to ask for cutlery she wordlessly put it on our table and walked away. The food was decent and the location great but the service was inattentive and unfriendly, not a smile to be seen and it seemed like we were a bother with the most basic of requests. Won t be back.

Eating over the water was a fantastic experience. Food was delicious and portion sizes were perfect. Not huge, just right.

This is a very good restaurant my husband and I shared a Greek salad and a Hawaiian pizza the Greek salad was fresh tasted great the pizza was delicious the service was fantastic

I went here to celebrate my birthday with dinner and was extremely disappointed by the unfriendly service we received. I have never had such awful service in my life. Sitting on the top deck has beautiful views but the girl with short blond hair gave the impression she hated being there. She had no smile or interest in working there and it completely ruined the experience. Not to mention the fries tasted like they came right out a frozen bag and the chicken in the salad off. We will never be returning again.

Visited today little cool on the water but the springs rolls were very tasty. We also had nachos but missing the taco taste in the meat but still good.

Terrible tasting fish taco arrived cold.

Service was great. Food was okay at best. Value is horrible. $20 for 8 chicken nuggets, that $2.50 per piece (see Pic) $17 for 6 small pieces of taco horns. If I return it will be for drinks only.

Wife and I ate there, and food was delicious, but we went a second time for fries as a snack, and this is what they gave us for $12. Are you kidding me?

Hostesses were really rude, no asking or offering of refills on drinks. The food was not great.. no soup spoon brought with soup.. pizza was terrible. Lots of people working but standing around doing nothing. Waited a long time for table.. no hospitality at all... wont be back!

My husband and friends are wings fans. And to watch the boat race in the lake, we go early to line up here on the docks pub already was a line up when we arrive but here is the perfect spot to watch and have some drinks. The service is very nice, our waitress was on point. They ask for 2 kind of wings and I have an onion soup, I ask if has garlic bread as a side, she said no, I need to order it separately. Ok l asked for garlic bread. The soup was well served , a little salty for me taste. A little disappointed with the bread, normally if they charge I will hope for the real bread, not the poor Baggett from the supermarket. For the wings you can tell are frozen wings from a box , because when they eat it the bones break, is not fresh. So they didnt like it. The good thing was they put the soccer match and in the lake we were able to watch the race.

Great place - bit pricey

Gave it two stars as view was nice and service was ok. Food substandard and expensive. Vegetarian Nachos were a joke. One layer of cheese, some tomatoes and green onions and then dry chips without topping. Paid extra $3 for a tablespoon of fake guacamole. Garlic shrimp was an oily mess covered in cheddar cheese. Bruscetta consisted of hotdog buns with some toppings and loaded with balsamic vinegar. Not impressed!

Get out on one of the 3 patios and the atmosphere is just brilliant! Right on the river watching the people walk by. The food was good although under seasoned. I think they forgot to season my chicken on my chicken sandwich but my and my wifes salads were great! We had to wait about 30 minutes for a seat but that seems normal. Vegetarian options: Lots of different options Parking: Parking is down the street at a lot, we never had a problem finding parking although there were usually only 2 or 3 empty spots.

I had a burger and fries. The fries were oven baked - just like the frozen McCain ones you buy at the supermarket. Lousy, to say the least. The burger had zero seasoning, and didnt even come with mayo or an aioli - bland, bland, bland. My partner had a very expensive salad that was not worth the price tag. No flavour to the fish at all, again not seasoned at all. The server didnt: once look us in the eyes; check how our food was; or ask if we wanted more to drink. Not could she be bothered to bring salt and pepper to the table and we had to ask for condiments. Save your money and go elsewhere.

the only thing good here is the view. the food for 2 people took about an hour to arrive- burger was dry, fries undercooked and very mushy no crisp. the pasta had a big pool of oil on the bottom and made me and my friend sick to stomach for about 24 hours. no seasoning either in the pasta- totally bland. they did mention it was a new item but it was so bad.

Wasn t amazed by the food. It tasted like a normal burger. However the waffle fries was pretty good with the spicy mayo/ chipotle sauce. We were sitting next to the window, so we got to see the dock and the lake, which was nice

The food was alright, but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is where this bar shines. Its definitely a good place to get drunk and pick up chicks. Its more a club/place to get drinks than it is a restaurant.

Location is amazing, right down at the docks and on the river. Perfect view and atmosphere for hot days. Food is pubish, but dont expect exotics (e.g. potato chips are a legitimate side here, before fries). Service was good and friendly, so the place is 100% atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Very limited vegetarian options. Beware the Black Bean Burger, it sounds vegetarian but refers to the sauce. Nachos also have meat. There is a veggie wrap, and I think one of the pizza flats are meat free (Margherita).

Really enjoyed this spot. Great vibe and good beer selection. Visited in April and would imagine the place is seriously hopping in the summer. Food was great as well.

Was given a corner table looking at wall while sitting on wobbly chair drowning with a blaring speaker and a table of drunk guys next to us yelling the f ... Word every 3rd word. Ordered a sandwich and got a terrible wrap with powdered chips. This is the worst $70.00 experience in years!

I drive for 2 1/2 hours just to go to this place for their incredible blackened fish tacos. I ve never tasted such delicious fish tacos anywhere else! Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair users may struggle if they are crowded. The place is accessible but there s a lot of people there and it s often noisy so you may not be heard.

Went for the View, But Will Be Back for the Food! I have been to this restaurant before, and while the view has always been spectacular, I dont remember the food being as exceptional as it was this time. My boyfriend had the beef dip sandwich with poutine, which was insanely good, especially with their delicious waffle fries. I had the Caesar salad, which was amazing one of the best Caesars Ive had in a while. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. The service was also outstanding. Despite our group of seven, our server was extremely accommodating with splitting the bill and substituting items. Overall, they did an amazing job. We went for the view, but we will definitely be back for the food!

We stopped in for a quick bite and a beer recently. It was their first patio day of the season as it was over 20 degrees. Our server was good and the food was better than anticipated being the off season and at a weird time of day between lunch and dinner. We shared a chicken club wrap, waffle fries and a couple beers. The service was very good, she even provided us with two separate plates. The beer was cold and the view was great. Parking: We parked in the back.

Weve been coming here for more than 20 years! The food is consistently delicious. Soups, salads sandwiches, burgers , nachos etc. The no name chicken is our go to when in season.

Been thier many times and more often than not got billed for some extras that I didnt even oder. Check your bill people they are sneaky and will charge you for things you didnt orde.

Dined at On The Docks with a rather mediocre experience. The food fell short of expectations, offering nothing remarkable. However, the redeeming factor was the great view beside the river. If youre looking for a scenic setting, this might be worth a visit, but the food leaves much to be desired.

We are from Buffalo and came snowmobiling up to Huntsville! We came out to on the dock and they were telling Americans to go home . We were the only one tipping and they kept yelling go home! We will never go there ever again. We thought Canadians were nice, but not at that restaurants. So Americans go somewhere else if you want to have a good time anywhere else!

My compliments to the Chef, the food here was delcious. I had their food here almost 10+ times now and its one of my favourite restaurants in Huntsville.

Ordered Shrimp tacos - shrimp out of a can with mounds of lettuce a few pieces of tomato and cabbage with sweet chili sauce on-unheated tortillas ! Less than appealing but the response from the server when I told her my meal was underwhelming was uh and shrugged her shoulders and walked away? Go to the Brewhouse - 2 minute walk away, food and service top notch - far superior to this place. Such a shame because the atmosphere has potential.

A delicious Tokyo beef wrap and a robust Caesar salad made this a heckuva experience. Fantastic service too. And oh we got the shrimp bake as an app and it was delectable.

Always enjoy coming here for a meal when in Huntsville. Love the beef dip. Husband wasnt impressed with the Fancy Burger Found it rather plain. Maybe just call it Feta Burger. Enjoyed the water view and sitting on the deck unfortunately the deck was closed this visit but still got the view

Soup was salty and spilled over the bowl which made other items on the dish soggy. Meat was a bit hard and overall quality was lacking for the price. Busy but server was nice. Disappointing as the building and location is beautiful.

No frys on the menu? Huh? Kind of an expensive place for what you get in food. Service is kinda slow. It is a good location and nice view of the water.

I adore this place! I am newer to the area and the team always welcomes me with warm smiles. The Docks Club Sandwich and Steak Salad are personal favourites from the menu. Ive yet to encounter a cocktail I didnt enjoy... Their music nights are an absolute blast, featuring incredible local talent. I wholeheartedly recommend it, without a doubt.
