935 Bob Wallace Ave SW, Huntsville, AL 35801, United States
An authentic Tex-Mex restaurant known for made from scratch "big as yo' face" burritos, fresh-squeezed lime juice margaritas and a fun, eclectic atmosphere.
Today was our first time coming here, and it’ll definitely be our new go to spot. Food was great, everything felt so comfortable. HUGE shout out to our waiter, Calvin!! We couldn’t have been happier with his service. Probably the best waiter we have ever had. Definitely recommend trying their steak, it’s so good! The chicken is as well. Drinks are good too. It was all a great experience. 🩷
Great Mexican food! Somewhat weak happy hour options, unless you really like chips and cheese dip, which IS very good by the way. I really wish they had a happy hour guacamole and chips option, even a smaller than normal one. But great food.
First time here, had the salad with steak and it was delicious and a large portion. The chips and salsa were also very good, and a good level of spicy. Atmosphere was chill-just please change the music to match the mood of the restaurant! i don’t want to drink tequila and eat Mexican food while listening to elevator music.
First visit at Chuy’s. Had a hang out here with some buddies last night, food was great and so was the server. Keep up the great work.
Very festive and nicely decorated. Staff is super friendly and polite. Food tasted great and the menu has a wide variety of options. Enchiladas are a must have, the hatch green chili sauce is delicious. Margaritas are sweet and decently sized. Prices are very reasonable. Only issue is that parking can be a little tricky since there are a lot of places sharing the same lot and the spaces are small. Would be easier to find a spot if there weren’t so many cars double parked.
My first time at Chuy's. The atmosphere was chill a very relaxing vibe with 🎵 great music. The service was good. I was able to get seated with no wait time on a Saturday at 2pm. The Restrooms were nice and clean. I ordered the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. It is two enchiladas stuffed with chicken and queso and topped with there Boom Boom sauce. I wasn't a big fan of the Boom Boom Sauce it seem like a gravy of some sort 5/10. High light of the experience the tender chicken 💯 inside the enchiladas. Tasting it, I could tell it was seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. 👌 Whoever is back there, keep up the great work. The food was 7.8 out of 10. Good lunch. Would Recommend.
This is the second time coming here. The first was kind of a miss. We tried the seasonal burrito and it had flavors that just did not jive together. Decided to give it a second try with something more standard. Service both times was excellent. Chips were pleasantly warm and salty, salsa was mild. Steak burrito filling was not bad. The tortilla was thick and cumbersome, soggy in places. Beans were good, rice was not, and the little bit of lettuce and tomatoes is enough to check the block but that's all. Overall, if someone wanted to eat here I wouldn't say no but I wouldn't choose to come here on my own.
Always a great experience at Chuy’s in beautiful Huntsvegas (HSV) AL!!! We love the ambiance, the drinks are great and the steak fajitas for two are the best anywhere!!! You want to get the steak fajitas for two with extra juicy steak. The steak is perfectly marinated!!🤩. Always a fun bar and great people attending to your thirsty needs. WE LOVE THIS PLACE…Every Week!!! Lately the Chuy’s has been terrible. Food is lack luster compared to several months ago, chips are stale, management is way off!!! Not going back anymore. Buyer beware. BTW… Waiter’s are trying to make a good try under terrible management circumstances.
Fun spot, but the bar area is a little cramped, great nostalgic tex mex menu
Absolutely terrible service. No one at the front desk. No one cares about your wait or food.
Jessica, our server/bartender was horrible. 15 minutes to get drinks. They brought us out the wrong food. Slow service. Will never be back. Would not recommend to anyone
Just left Chuys in Huntsville, my wife and I thought wed try something new. I wish we hadnt. I ordered the Chuychanga, the exterior was scalding hot but the chicken inside was ice cold. The pico de gallo served with the chips was awful, the rice tasted and looked old. We will not be back.
Horrible food and horrible service very rude never going back. Beware.
Didnt eat after we saw they had a 71 rating.
Awful. In every way. Dinner was 40 for slop. Dont go. Literally. Dont.
This is a great place to get Tex-Mex. The only reason I didnt get at five stars is because the salsa is not good at all. Usually I can tolerate whatever a restaurant serves, but I just gave up with this stuff. Parking: Just be prepared to be patient finding an open spot and then to be patient getting yourself into it properly because the parking lot winds around tightly and the spaces are not that wide.
They seated us outside which was not a pleasant atmosphere for our group Wheelchair accessibility: Limited Food : 5/5 |
This is my favorite place to eat. Staff is always friendly, service and food is great
Spicy jalapeño ranch is amazing. Also, Alissa works magic at the bar. Super-friendly and makes you want to come back. Food : 5/5
Great location , very clean , friendly staff. Great prices
The Elvis Green Chili Fried Chicken is back! I have been waiting since Covid for them to put it back on the menu! Please keep it!!!!
I love their food but the service SUCKS!! Sitting in the bar are & there are 2 tables and it takes well over 15 minutes to get a drink order after being told they d be right back. Watched several people give up and walk out as she handled orders that came in after we arrived. Adding insult to injury, the bartender acts completely clueless when you ask for a Shiner beer. I get that good help is hard to find but this is becoming ridiculous. We all need to do better in this community. Take pride in what you do, no matter the work.
Terrible ! Just Terrible! I had purchased an appetizer an entree and 3 drinks. I was picky asking questions and they assured the entree was not spicy. I had an allergic reaction, it was spicy . To top it off , I tipped 8$ paying via QR code that was printed on the receipt and left at close . I was gonna pay cash until I saw the receipt QR code. DUMB me forgot to grab the 20$ cash on the table due to paying on my phone and tipping on the phone , only focused on getting my baby to the car . So I thought it was smart to call the next day since I left at approximately 9:00pm . I call and no manager is given on the phone ! The sneaky waitress is given the phone and claiming there is nothing they saw on the table in which MY WIFE thought I LEFT the 20$ as a cash tip ! Telling me sorry there s nothing they can do! Me and my wife are both unsatisfied with these theifts upon learning what the workers do! Hell , I d rather have my 108$ back instead of knowing I ate around theifts but all I did was ask for my 20$ back from the theifts was told no. Outrageous . DO NOT EAT HERE. I couldn t imagine if I left my debit card . Management needs to do a better job, good food , terrible workers. Make sure to only eat Chuy s where people respect it ! In Texas!
Good good food ! Our server was amazing! She went above and beyond for us.
The food is good, not great. Restaurant definitely needs a good cleaning and some maintenance. Service is pretty hit and miss. Seems like not enough staff for the number of people they seat for service.
I love their ranch jalapeño dip!
Waited a loooong time in an empty restaurant to get served cold, soggy tacos. The chips are greasy and too flimsy to dip with. There are literally a dozen or more better Mexican restaurants to choose from in Huntsville. Good luck, amigos.
I have eaten at this location several times and have never had any issues. Today we visited and I was super impressed with Andie as our server. She was extremely polite and efficient. It was the best service I have had at any resteraunt in a long time.
I can NOT brag enough on the service that Calvin has given us everytime we came in. Top notch customer service, very personable and makes us feel very welcome. I would consider him a huge asset to the company! Great food, even better dip!
Love this place. Miss the pre-covid nacho bar shaped like the trunk of Pink Cadillac. If you can fill up my sons stomachs at a reasonable price, Im in.
Its so so compared to Austin.
Just didnt like the food
Food tasted too spicy or was over cooked. Sauces were way too much.
Love their Chicka Chicka Boom Boom enchiladas.
Never got a chance to eat there. But from what Ive seen on the inside it looks pretty nice. It looks like a nice place to eat there. I would consider doing events and social activities there
Weve been visiting Chuys every other date night for the past year, always ordering the same thing: steak burritos. Every single time, we are miserably full and leave with leftovers. This last time we went, they charged us the same amount but loaded it with beans with barely any steak. When we asked staff, they said they always make them that way, yet we didnt really believe all this time weve ate beans in them. One quick look at the menu confirmed they dont come with beans inside them. $40 for bean burritos with some steak is ridiculous. Chuys seems to be going down. We left without leftovers and disappointed.
The taco shell is so thin.....when you pick it up it breaks! The beans and rice were bland. The cheese on the quesadillas, we believe, was canned cheese, not fresh. We barely ate of the food and she never asked us if anything was wrong or if we enjoyed the meal, nothing. Nothing. We didnt get our napkins until we were almost done eating. When we sat down at the table she brought us chips and some kind of a sauce. Winds up it was something Im allergic to Im. She didnt even take it away after we told her. The manager never came out and ask is everything okay. We will never go there again!
Food was good. Its a little spicier than I like. Service was pretty fast.
I went in with a group today shortly after they opened and they said that it would be 15 mins for rice. Then they changed it to 30 mins for rice. I had ordered a dish that came with a side of beans and rice and in the interest of not holding up the others in my party I said no rice was fine. The beans tasted like they came out of a Hormel can so I couldn t stomach more than 3 bites of them. No effort was made to at least reduce the price of my meal seeing that half of it was missing and inedible so I paid $15 for two tacos. Absolute insanity. Our server was great though and was clearly trying her best despite being overwhelmed so no fault on her at all!
Enjoyed my experience here!
I enjoyed myself there. The service was good, and food was good.
Great food and setting
Very rude ladies
Love their tres leches cake & food!
Food was surprisingly good. Service was quick, Decore feels child-like.. not ideal for a business meeting or quiet date. Serving a bowl of ranch with chips is weird. They must go through gallons. I wish the salsa was smoother, but it was fresh. The tomatillo sauce with the chicken chimi was excellent.
Great Tex Mex food
Staff was super nice and efficient with our big group food was delicious and they took great care of us.
Always excellent service - this is our go to family restaurant. We would drink the creamy jalepeno if it were socially acceptable. ;)
If you would like a nice dinner with family and friends DO NOT GO HERE. Overheard the manager named Keisha talking about another employee We asked for our food to be taken back and remade (had hair in it) and the server was happy to do it! Food comes back and there was EVEN MORE HAIR!! DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE, HORRIBLE FOOD, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT, HORRIBLE EVERYTHING!!! (Server was a young gentleman but very nice, only good thing about this place) I ve eaten at other Chuy s in Texas, and they felt like fine dining while this one felt like a Mcdonald s
Love Chuys Chicken and Beef Fajitas and Queso. Rice and beans are best in town. But amazing service is absolutely a huge reason to eat there. The Manager Keisha is definitely next level efficient and kind. Chuys staff are very family oriented. Calvin is a GREAT server too who actually remembers our drink orders etc..hope Chuys never leaves Huntsville.
Charles was an attentive server. Very knowledgeable! Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly Food : 5/5 |
The only reason I gave it 3 stars and not 5, was at the end of our meal, the GM walked through the restaurant proclaiming that every problem was her problem( with a very snarky attitude)! That is something customers should NEVER hear. Tend to your business as if nothing is ever wrong. Oh yeah, that was our first ever visit to the HSV Chuys. She left me with a real bad taste in my mouth for her ability to run this establishment. However, our server, Adeline, was so wonderful. IF, and I do mean IF, we go back. I hope I am not subjected to that kind of behavior from any other upper management. The employees seemed to be doing a great job prior to her arrival. I understand a bad day, but dont let customers see it EVER. GM- There is someone out there just waiting to step into your spot. My suggestion is to take a moment to breathe before entering the restaurant and not let the customers see your bad attitude while walking through the dining room. Seriously, if you had just said that without the snark factor in your voice, it would have been different. In todays economy, you need to keep the customers from knowing there is ever a problem. Just my opinion, but I am a first-time patron of your establishment.
You must come here
Very flavorful food. Service was excellent and the atmosphere was cool!
We ve never had bad service here but our server tonight was Robert and he was PHENOMENAL. Super friendly and really on top of taking care of us. 10/10 recommend him. Someone give this guy a raise.
Good food
Food was horrible
Quality food, delicious queso and burritos. Excellent wait staff
Very good restaurant
Parking: Hard to get a close parking but there is a free parking garage half block away with plenty of space, I went on a Saturday Night Food
Popped in today to see my friend Mellisa. Let me just say that Chuy s employees get along and treat each other with respect. In my opinion that speaks volumes of the work environment. My food was so good and I had plenty to take home. Chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful and my tea was refreshing. Thank you all! Will be back soon!
Never disappointed
We had takeout. The food was... ok. Its basically fast-food quality. For the same price, you can get MUCH better mexican food elsewhere. It didnt taste bad, it just lacked flavor.
I have been to the Chuy s in Dallas, TX and this was far below their standards. I have been to this Chuy s twice before and really enjoyed the experience. I brought a friend who had never been to Chuy s and was bragging about the food, service and atmosphere. The waiter when he brought the chips and salsa didn t bring any napkins. He brought our drinks and before I could ask for napkins, walked off. I went to the bar and got our napkins. He came back took our order and still no napkins. I ordered the steak burrito and was disappointed as it tasted as if it had too much salt, however still edible . I have had this before and it was delicious. While eating we drank most of our drinks and I attempted to get his attention but he walked by twice ignoring me. While we were still eating he brought our check and never asked if we wanted anything else. After finishing we waited several minutes for him to pick up our payment but never showed, so we went to the register and paid there.
Texas should be ashamed to allow this place to be one of theirs. I am a Texas girl and that s where I discovered Chuy s, in Houston. This place is far below the standards that made it great. It is an embarrassment to associate the name of Chuy s with this place. The service can make you or break you, in this location it is a deal breaker. We will never take anyone to this location again.
Went there a few times with friends. Food n service are always excellent!!
I liked the atmosphere and the service was good, I just wasnt a fan of the food.
Delish food
The taco I ordered was very good considering that the place is americanized and not oroginal s mexican
Their salsa is fantastic.
Everything was good service was top notch fast and friendly food was good
I ate here with my family, and it was so good. Great food and good service. Kid-friendliness: Theyve got a great kids menu, and there are high chairs and/or boosters seats available. Food : 5/5 |
Great times were had.
Food was great tasting. If was a very busy night but, the food came out in a timely manner. The manager Jimmy made our experience whole lot better very funny also the waiter was great too. Definitely will be going again my go to for Texmix food in town. The prices are little high but, the plate portion is great you will leave there full for sure.
Boom boom chicken enchiladas
Looked like a clean well maintained restaurant very friendly staff and food was amazing. There was some confusion as far as getting a silverware but we managed to power through it.
Nothing to write home about. But it isnt bad. Kid-friendliness: Chairs for little ones and a relaxed atmosphere. Very family friendly
Recent- Chuy s at Bob Wallace and the Parkway gets an 82. The Kitchen Cops found dirty plates and bowls stored with clean ones. There was also residue in the ice chutes and multiple food temperature violations.
Our waitress Bianca was literally the best always was smiling when she came to our table you don t find many like her I give her a 10
Good food and great service!!
Favorite spot for Tex mex
The food is always great and Adi is an incredible server, the staff is friendly, and the art on the walls is cool. One of my favorite places to eat in Huntsville.
We love Chuys, but not this one. This location is horribly managed. Its filthy, bathrooms, table tops and silverware were all dirty and unkept. Much of the staff looks dirty and appear unhappy to be at work. A few waiters smell and look like their on drugs. And to top it all, we got food poisoning. This is the worst Chuys weve been to. People like standards, especially where food is served.
It was very busy but the waiter did a great job with our party of 11. He kept the chips, sauces and drinks refilled. He got all the orders right and everything came out in a timely manner. I got the chicken tortilla soup and it was very good. Everyone else raved about their food as well, from the tacos to the burritos to the fajitas. Even though it was busy the restaurant was clean and had a fun atmosphere. We had a great first experience. Everything was delicious and the prices were excellent. Well definitely be back.
Our waitress rushed us the whole time I couldn t even eat the chips and salsa first and sip my margarita in piece before she kept coming to the table rushing me to order the hostess was nice
Members of my family (3 out of 5 of us) got food poisoning after eating here around the first week of January 2024. Sucks, because the restaurant was really cool and the food tasted great should ve looked at their health inspection score before eating there. I don t think I ll go back here, even if they get a better health inspection score. We were miserably sick for over a week.
Nice little breakfast brunch...A++...
The water was good. Can t say much about anything else.
My children and I enjoyed it.
We had a great Valentine s Day dinner tonight. Steak tacos, beef tacos, and the kids mac and cheese. Leftovers ready for lunch tomorrow!
Very calm, staff are very nice. Relatively cheap and great food.
Service was great!! I had the steak burrito with beans and rice. The steak burrito was good. The beans had no taste. Now the margaritas are AMAZING!! I will definitely be back for a drink or 2 or 3
Great margaritas, phenomenal Tex-Mex. Creamy jalapeno dip, Chuy-changa and Boom-boom sauce is the absolute peak lunch in Huntsville. Solid 11/10.
Service a bit after lunch was slow and inattentive. At least the food was yummy. Loved the Jalapeño Ranch dressing? Served with very nice tortilla chips and fresh pico before the entree. Looks like families like it too!
Consistently delicious every time
Great food. Great service
Nice outside area. Good atmosphere. The food was good as well.
Eh...I have had better food. Not sure what all the hype is about. Im fine if we dont go back. It IS tex mex but just not my cup of tequila I guess.
Great atmosphere, good food. Place has improved tremendously from just one year ago. Outstanding service. Nice outdoor seating area, too. Fairly reasonably priced.
The food was not the best. Did not take like mexican
Went for a birthday lunch. A person in our party ordered a sweet tea. They received an unsweet tea. We asked for a sweet tea, and was still brought unsweet tea. Was brought another refill and for the 3rd time it was unsweet tea! The birthday person ordered a dessert, the tickets were brought, not the sweet dessert....So, it wasnt a good first experience.
Very different taste than our Alabama Mexican food, . Not necessarily what we care for. Very hot.
On this day the chips were a little stale but Id be back tomorrow if I needed to.
Absolutely love the food!! Great staff, good prices and fast!! Highly recommend
I really dont like there food. I had a steak burritos which didnt have any flavor. The chips had a funny taste. The waiter was over worked and not very friendly.
We went here after my nieces High School Graduation. Wonderful food with GREAT flavors, especially for a Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend if you dont have a big appetite, or just want smaller portions, you should order one plate to share
The salsa had too much of a vinegar taste! I got the tortilla soup which wasnt good this time, came once before and it was great! Wife just wanted some cheese dip for chips and we both had a tea. The cheese dip had a burnt flavor to it tike it was left on high for couple days! Freaked out when we got bill! Definitely not coming back! For $30 we got soup, cheese dip and 2 drinks
This is a great Tex-Mex style restaurant and Ive been in mini throughout the United States. I will continue to eat at Chuys because they are consistent and overall good quality food and clean inside
Went for lunch with coworkers last week. Excellent service (wish I caught our waitress s name, she was awesome). I had the fajita chicken soft tacos which was the perfect portion for lunch. We had to park at the garage but there were plenty of tables open so don t be worried about a wait at lunch time on a week day!
That was the most disgusting Mexican food I have ever had. That pretty much says it all. We ate in the bar. The bartender was very nice but the food quality appears to come out of a prepackaged bag. Gross.
Good food, fun place. Elvis is everywhere . I had the fajitas. Food
Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant was very clean. Large portions at a very reasonable price. The main dish was hot out of the kitchen and tasty. The refried beans and rice were a little dry. But overall, it was a great experience.
Updated: I m not sure what happened, but Chuy s has gone completely downhill since my original review. We didn t get napkins or silverware until after our food had arrived and sat for minutes. The food was not warm at all, yet had clearly been sitting on the line long enough to harden. Sadly, I m not sure we will go back. Original review: I was pleasantly surprised by our visit here. Overly so, actually. We were there about twenty minutes ago. Initially we were sat next to a table of the loudest middle aged people on the planet. I couldn t do it, y all. Could not. I asked our very kind server if we could move and he instantly respected our request. Our server was amazing! I asked for both water and a sweet tea, and he brought both WITH EXTRA STRAWS Our food came out quickly (but not weird quickly to be clear) and it was phenomenal! My husband said his steak burrito was one of the best steak experiences he d had in his life. The restaurant itself was clean but not disinfectant smelling. The literal only downside was the table of overly loud oldies, and that was solved instantaneously. Overall, it was an exceptional experience. Thank you for having us!
Food is okay. Service the same. It is not Austins Chuys.
Good. Great Service
Just a yummy place for Tex Mex and drinks on the patio
Had Quesadillas, which Is my usual, but there is something with how the chicken is made that just makes me absolutely sick. I dont think Ill be going back anytime soon until something is changed
Had to ask several times for drinks. Brought out queso with no chips, and didnt get any until main meal came out. Sides and toppings advertised on the menu were not on the plate. Floor was soaking wet and slippery. Food : 2/5 |
Wonderful food and atmosphere, we came here for lunch and it was terrific. If you live Tex Mex come here
Great food amazing service! Kid-friendliness: Our server gave kids push pops after dinner the kids really enjoyed! Food : 5/5 |
Great food and service. Love the choices in salsas.
Love this restaurant and staff. Clean and friendly.
They don t even deserve a half a star! Party of 10-15 seated rather promptly, things are looking good. From the time our food order was taken at 6:30 it went downhill from there. Extremely slow service for our drink, order, food order, and then actually to get our drinks. At 7:35 a manager comes out finally after hearing that we were complaining to our server. Food still not up, ready to be delivered to our table. However, other parties of 7 to 10 people had been seated after us and they had received their order. It was obvious there was new management at this location, due to the appearance of the restaurant, the quality and presentation of the servers as well as the overall service received. Local Tex-Mex restaurants like Phil, Sandoval s, Rosies, las Troja s, and I m sure others that I could add to this list, are much better and deserve your time and money instead of Chuy s in Huntsville, Alabama. I will never enter it s Doors again.
Horrible Mexican food I cant believe such a popular restaurant and terrible food and the waiters are in the clouds very very bad I will never go lousy again
Parking: Close parking can be hard to get. There is a parking deck. Food
Dirty place, poor service, food was less than average. Of all the options wish I would have looked at the 4 stars. For a chain restaurant shame on management!!!
Such a wonderful time. Love Michelle. Great food, drinks, and service.
My last experience there I was having dinner with friends. The food was so-so and the service was okay. During our dinner the kitchen manager began yelling at their kitchen staff in view of the customers eating. We were sitting near the kitchen so we heard and saw everything. Not only did this create awkwardness in the restaurant it also caused a bit of chaos for some of the servers while taking care of customers. This may be why the food and service was not ideal. It went on for at least 10 minutes or so. We made mention of this to one of the employees on our departure. My suggestion to Chuys managerial staff is that if you are having difficulty with your employees please address privately and out of view of paying customers.
I love Chuys. As many times as I go, I always end up getting the big as your arm chicken fajita burrito with boom boom sauce. My wife got veggie enchiladas minus the squash. We also ordered the nachos, which is a personal favorite. Got some guac, but it was extremely bland. Service seemed a little slow, but not bad. They accidentally messed up one of the enchiladas by making it a cheese only instead of a veggie one, but they corrected that right away. Overall it was a nice dinner. Looking forward to eating here more!
Not very good service, rude servers. Food is just okay but the artwork is nicely themed. I won t go back to this location again.
The leacha cake was my favorite part.
Absolutely love chuys and their cuisine but every time I come to Huntsvilles location it s disappointing. I get that we all have off days but the service is always mediocre, the chips were soggy, and I m always left unsatisfied with my visit. Lastly, if costumers are going to be sitting close to the bar/kitchen, please don t let us over hear the drama that s going on within the establishment, it s very unprofessional. I shouldn t know there is drama between 2 employees, and hearing them being reprimanded and chased around the restaurant.
My husband and I have been going to chuys for years! This is hands down the worst location. 50% of the time the food doesn t taste fresh at all. Last night we ordered $55 worth of food for the last time. Even their salsa and jalapeño ranch were very clearly NOT fresh. I m going to guess 2-3 days old. This is disgusting.
Walked in around 1:15 and was seated with in minutes. We asked for the outside seating since it was a pretty day and we had 2 kids. It took 15 minutes for anyone to come to the table to say some else would be our server but they would take our drink order. It took another 5 before our drinks came out. No other server came so the same person took our order We were at the restaurant almost 2 hours due to the lack of service. The kids quesadilla had an after taste that was un-eatable but the rest of the food was great. Neither child received there deserts and no one got a refill or offered a refill.
Staff was friendly but slow. Never offered refills on drinks. Waitress did not bring all my change back. Food was not even average. Salsa was terrible - watery and pink, not red. Chicken was very dry. Not likely to return in the near future.
For someone who grew up with authentic Mexican food, this was not up to par. But the food was okay. The service was great, very polite and great attitude. The atmosphere and music are fun.
Great service, food and drink were a bit lackluster. 13$ for a grande margarita and it definitely was NOT grande...
This place sucks the food sucks and the managers treat their employees like trash. There s cockroaches in the kitchens and the entire place is unsanitary. Needs to be shut down
Took a while for someone to recognize we were waiting to be seated( There were 2 tables occupied), so its not because they were busy. Took just as long for someone to greet us at the table. The table we sat at was wet from the previous patrons drinks and food; the food was undercooked( they did correct it). This was my first and last visit. Our server was kind and assisted as much as possible. Overall unimpressed and disappointed.
Wonderful place, wonderful environment
Best American-Mexican food in town! Jalapeño salsa is creamy and mild.
Poor service , too slow on Monday afternoon
Food was good service was great . Mid day only a few customers . So service was good
This is the second time dining here. The first was not a good experience because it was too crowded. To give a second chance, I tried again. Food was not impressive (for the price). The server was missing for 20 minutes until I asked who my waiter/waitress was? After ordering, the food took longer than expected. This time, it was at around 20% capacity, not too busy.
I give such a low review bases strictly on the food. The service was pleasant and prompt, but the food was the least pleasant meal Ive experienced in some time. The beans reminded me of canned chili beans straight out of the can. The green chili sauce wasnt particularly flavorful or pleasant. The steak in the burrito was a medium rare but the entire meal had less flavor than a microwave burrito at quicktrip. The restaurant was clean and attractive, i was very disappointed the food wasnt good I wanted to like it.
My mommy and I came to eat here after a funeral today. Our server was Calvin! He was awesome and was very personable. We needed a laugh today and he made us feel at home! Thank you Calvin for all that you do. If we ever come back to Huntsville I ll be sure to come back to chuys! The food was also amazing!
The team was a whole team helping at a quick pace the server was phenomenal. Then the food.... So good.
The cooks were so slow it was unreal. I like this place but they have things in the kitchen to get straight for sure.
Great tex-mex! salsa is also good, margaritas are perfect
It was all in all just ok, certainlynot spectacular. The service was very slow, they werent real busy so most likely understaffed. Everything was relatively clean.
Overall I liked the place.
Great food Great service Still as good as first time we went. Great food Food
We ordered a light lunch of chicken quesadillas. The food is average. From the looks of the menu, it doesn t seem to be very Tex-Mex. You do get a large quantity of food which is becoming rare these days. We will be back.
Good food but cleanliness is lacking. If you look closely on the pictures Ive attached you see what looks like spackle or dust bunnies on the wall and floor. Roughly two years ago that had a very different color and consistency. Someone couldnt hold down the wonderful strong drinks and spicy delicious fresh salsa. I told the manager on duty that this happened when it was fresh. A few months later I told them again. I was sure to tell them it was on the walls, floor, and door to this stall in the womens restroom. After notifying the MoD twice I have made an effort to not use this bathroom. Saturday I had no choice. Thanks to a puddle on the floor you can see some gunk rehydrating. If the bathrooms are like this what state is the kitchen in? I love the food here. I do. I just wish they had boiling water and a scrub brush handy. Update: its still gross and probably more disgusting than ever. If someones house was this dirty you wouldnt stay over.
We booked Chuys catering for our wedding, the food was very flavourful, our guests really enjoyed it! The price was affordable and the customer service from Chris and his team was impeccable. Thank you very much!
5 Star Experience all the way.
Great cheese dip!!
