I had one of the best omlets today by chef Ayvir (AR) and the food was amazing but a bit expensive and our server rup was amazing

We had breakfast buffet and the omelet station was delish. And the balcony is nice too.

Had both buffet breakfast (twice) and buffet dinner during my stay here. Chefs know to make delicious and filling food, servers are friendly and very accommodating. Keep up the good work, guys. Will come back for a future stay.

Easter Bunch at Eclipse in Deerhurst was AMAZING!

It is criminal how badly they gouge you. You can pay $18 for some yogurt and a muffin, or $28 for the buffet. Most things in the buffet had very little flavour, and others tasted awful. The juice tasted more like water. The server came to us at the beginning to seat us and the end to give us the bill. The pros: bacon was pretty good, the view was nice. I would expect this from a free breakfast not one that costs $28 each

My boyfriend and I had Valentines dinner the last 14th and it was awesome. 100% recommended it.

An elevated school cafeteria food experience, sticky tables and all.

Buffet style that my kids like (17 & 12 years), not a lot of choice, but food was generally ok. Bigger salad bar options would be nice. Fish was really dry but everything else was fine. Furniture is not well taken care of, chipped and sticky tables, chairs comfortable but like tables could stand some refinishing. The furniture really makes the restaurant feel pretty shabby.

Went here for Husna weekend. The buffet had alot of halal options which tasted very good. Would come back her next time they have halal options. Staff were friendly.

Staff was nice but pathetic food

Went there with a family of 6 adults and a high chair. The restaurant is beautiful with walls of windows overlooking the resort grounds. The food selection was great... Salads, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, pizza, chicken, salmon, prime rib, roasted veggies, garlic mashed potatoes etc. And a large dessert selection. The churro bread pudding was a favourite! Several pies, cakes, chocolate fondue, etc. The service was great! The waitress overheard one of our party saying they preferred well done beef and she had the cooks put some of the beef on the grill for him until well done. We will definitely be going back!

Disgusting food. We were a group of 6 and really regret coming here. The food is not fresh, tastes obviously store bought / frozen. Just a very unpleasant experience.

Came here on the day before thanksgiving, paid $80/person for a buffet that feels like $10. Food: disgusting and all the meat/seafood were dry it tastes like rubber. Only decent was the shrimp cocktail because it literally takes no effort to make. Cocktail, no taste at all but with plenty of ice. Service: plate wasn t collected after we left the table since it s a buffet, we had to call our server to come over to collect it. Atmosphere: sticky table. DONT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT unless you want to experience vomit.

We had dinner here twice and breakfast once , the first night our server was fantastic very attentive which made up for the cold foods. Breakfast was great and again our server was nice and polite . However tonight we had finished eating and our server had not even come by to offer water or take drink orders . I had to go find them and request water and dishes cleared . He finally asked of if we wanted drinks which we did , and he made them wrong . It was a him issue not restaurants as we had them the night before and they were great . He reluctantly remade them after telling me I was wrong and it was right . Horrible experience tonight fully because of awful service . Tables very sticky at all meals .

We just had our dinner tonight our waitress Jennifer was superb!! Shes friendly, she made sure we are well taken care of! Jennifer also told us a little bit about the live band playing downstairs, & to take the complimentary shuttle in case it gets slippery out tonight! We enjoyed the vegetarian food selection etc. It was our 1st time @ Deerhurst & definitely wont be our last!

The food was good and our interaction with our host Ruben was extremely pleasant..he was very courteous and went out of his way to get us the duck drumsticks made exactly the way we had a year back even though the menu had changed..five stars for Ruben!

Amazing food....the lamb was great! Our server Catia was the best...attentive and personable. Made the visit even better than it already was. Will definitely be back

We made reservations for our st.patricks day anniversary, after reading the reviews we decided to cancel. Luckily for us the day before we were at the Maple pub and sat at the bar and had a great server Aylssa, she told us she wouldnt be there the next evening she would be at Eclipse....we then told her our decision to cancel and why. Alyssa and Stephanie (food and beverage manager) re booked us for 7:30 dinner and they did not disappoint!! Mussels were amazing, I had the salmon dish and hubby had the lamb Shank and we both thought it was really tasty, throw in a bottle of wine, good view and great service thats all we wanted!!! We both enjoyed the dining experience and are glad went and were able to write a good review based on our on experience!! Thanks Alyssa for the dessert!

The buffet was absolutely dreadful, stale meat, scrambled eggs were lukewarm. Overpriced for bad quality food. There are a plethora of better options outside the resort. Stay away and we were actually hotel guests!

While service was great (5 stars), the value for money is not worth it. We spent $170 for 2 adults and 1 kid (4yo). The kids buffet was $25.95 for chicken fingers, fries, pogo, fried mac and cheese, pizza and dessert. Too pricey for unhealthy options, only deep fried food that is sitting in a buffet. My kid ended up eating half of my salmon entree. Some fruits on the dessert bar would also be nice.

Ate here twice, once for the buffet breakfast and once for the normal breakfast. The buffet was pretty standard. The hash browns were my favourite, but I wish there were more fruit options. Most of the food was lukewarm. The normal breakfast (ordering off a menu) was fine. I got the pancakes and they were just ok. All in all, the food was fine. In my opinion, it was overpriced for what you get. There are better options in town.

Because of the negative reviews of this restaurant, our family considers to go outside restaurants. But, it s the late Sunday evening and don t have much options, so end up, we went here. Amazingly, the food at the buffet is fresh and delicious. The salad bar is really good and has many options. The desserts section has also many choices. We are happy to go to this good quality restaurant instead of traveling to find at least not bad restaurant, which we are not sure, with my little girl.

We had family visiting for the holidays and so we decided to take them to Eclipse for your Christmas dinner. I was extremely embarrassed (as this was supposed to be a nice dinner) and very disappointed. There was no carving station (which I was told when I made the reservation that there would be and was the reason for going), the food was cold and flavorless, desserts were unimpressive and appeared to be store bought. If you are looking for a nice restaurant experience in Muskoka I would not recommend Eclipse. Its definitely not worth $35 per person

Its ok.

Review solely based on vegan breakfast. We both had the Just Egg breakfast sandwich with breakfast potatoes. The sandwich was full of flavour and good texture. Fiancé thought it was the best vegan breakfast he has had in a while. Ordered food to go from the hostess with no issues and food was ready fast. For 2 breakfasts it was $38 excluding tip and no beverage

We recently stayed at Deerhurst Resort and decided to try the Endless Grill dinner at Eclipse. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! I cannot express how extremely overpriced and completely underwhelming this buffet experience is! While we had a very good waiter, so our service was good, the food itself was definitely not worth the cost. Most of the food you get is pub style--chicken wings, dumplings, noodles and salads, and the only two menu items that could possibly justify the cost would be the shrimp and the sirloin skewers. However, the shrimp need to be peeled of their outer skin, making it a messy dining option and after one or two skewers, youve had enough of getting your fingers dirty. The sirloin was overcooked slightly, so its tough to chew and there was very little seasoning on any of the food. The chicken was well cooked, but again, lacked seasoning. Drinks are overpriced and not included in the cost of the meals. At $45 per person over the age of 13 and $25 for those 12 and under, a dinner for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) is at least $140, not including drinks. For us, with one 13 year old and a 10 year old, we paid over $200, with drinks included. Weve gone to a fair number of restaurants, including some very expensive ones, like Bymark, Fabrica, O&B, Canoe, etc. and I am always happy to pay for a good meal. This was so upsetting to be given such a poor meal for such an exorbitant price. To the management of the resort, or the restaurant, I would just say that your concept here is a ripoff and will definitely ruin the reputation of your restaurant. Either reduce your price or improve your quality. As far as we are concerned, we wont ever partake in the getting Endless Grill again.

Quite possibly the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant. I was more satisfied with the McChicken I got from McDonalds earlier that day. The only thing edible at the Endless Grill was the shrimp which I had to peel myself and maybe the chicken wings. The steak and sausage was DRY as F. The noodles were slimy. The dumplings were dry and the stir fry was soggy. And the chicken was mushy like it was marinating for days. Omg I cant believe we paid that much money for this awful meal.

The food was terrible. For the price of 44.95 per person I would have expected a little better Everything was bland absolutely no flavour and all pre-made. The food must have been cooked hours before serving. Just terrible won t go there again. Save your $$ pick another place

Good dinner, but a few tips: 1. Sit inside. While the view is spectacular outside, the live music they have playing is SUPER loud, and totally wrecks the ambiance. 2. Found the service slow - this is consistent with all the other reviews. 3. The wings on their menu had no maple glaze . So they were not good. The bread had no salt in it. Neither did the butter they served it with. The Caesar salad needed more dressing. Sausage was good. Veggies were good. Dumplings seemed pre-made. 4. The dessert is to die for. Caramel sauce was just amazing. 5. This restaurant is notorious for not picking up the phone. They could have their restaurant at capacity so much more if they picked up the phone to take group bookings. We went on a Saturday night and there were empty tables so I m sure walking in is fine.

Avoid the Endless Grill. Im not a foodie by any stretch, but the food was just awful. Underdone chicken, and poor quality beef and sausage covered by what seemed like ketchup. Everything else just bland and boring. The hostess kindly refunded some of the cost but we still spent over $100 and barely ate any of it. 3 Guys and a Stove down the road was offering the same thing and we really regretted not going there.

The new dinner format of all you can eat was disappointing. My family and I waited more then 30 mins for a waiter. Food showed up at our table with no guidance or any inquiries. This was the only disappointing thing at Deerhurst Resort.

Terribly disappointed. A high price point for cold and bland food. The service was slow and inattentive and the staff seemed generally disinterested. When we complained we were told Yeah, its hit and miss here. Please save yourselves the money and dine elsewhere.

Usually a buffet, but during Covid they are bringing the food to you, but all you can eat. The beef rib was my favourite, tender meat and tasty. Chicken was dry. The staff was helpful in moving our table which was too close to the band, and we have a 2 year old. They also helped us secure a reservation at the Antler later on in the week.

This restaurant was so underwhelming and boring nothing cool or interesting happening and clientele is 65 plus. Fast food is more satisfying and service was extremely slow. After being a deerhurst member for years won t be coming back

Food served did not meet the menu description whatsoever and it was very overpriced. I ordered a salmon entree that was supposed to come with wild rice risotto and edamame- it came with plain old white rice with exactly two beans in it. Decent piece of fish, but certainly not worth 34 dollars. The black forest mousse cake, described as a brownie topped with cherry compote in a chocolate shell was instead a pre-made little chocolate sponge with a blob of ganache in the middle and a smear of caramel sauce. Not even close, and 13 dollars to boot. Overall, extremely disappointing. Dinner for two (two entrees, one beer, two desserts and two coffees) was 150 dollars. The service was also very slow, with the server even telling us well you are in the corner it is hard to tell if you need anything. I know there is a staffing shortage in hospitality, but this was beyond that excuse. Extremely disappointing, dont bother. Take the short drive into town and spend less money for a much better meal.

Somewhat disappointing considering the prestige of deerhurst. The menu was kind of random and limited with no shareable apps. It was a little difficult to decide what to order, and then many of the items... including wine were out of stock. Portions were large and the food was okay. I had the mushroom ravioli which was good but there were some questionable choices with balsamic vinegar. Another member of our party had ordered a risotto and the dish came with regular rice. I have had much better in Muskoka considering the price

We had a great time. I ate here for Thanksgiving weekend and our table loved the entire dinner. Muskoka beers are on tap and priced well. I had the ravioli and it far exceeded my expectations. Server was friendly. The views from the patio were stunning. I wanted to book a second night but reservations were full. I dont get the bad reviews.

Breakfast comments: food was well presented and tasted great. Our hostess must have had a bad day! Zero communication skills. I am super polite, always ask nicely and say, Thank you repeatedly, response was disappointing! Over all a good experience. Dinner comments: food was delicious, well presented and our host, David, was super! I can only recommend to be a little more generous with their soup serving. Over all excellent dinner experience.

It s very bad welcome February 8 around 5 pm the lady in the reception was very rude She said you have limited time between 5.20 to 6.630 pm .

Service was impeccable. Last night Murray C was our server and he did a great job. The food was really good too. Came back for breakfast and again the food was good. Robyn C. served us in the morning, and her service was on par with Murray the night before. Portion sizes are large so you wont leave hungry for either breakfast or supper.

celebrated my anniversary here. the views outside were nice, however wine is over priced. food was good, but more vegan options other than just curry would be nice, as well as a vegan dessert option as I could not eat anything (I have a dairy allergy)

The worst service I ve ever experienced. First night it took 1.5 hrs to get our food, and we had to track down our server several times. The next day at breakfast it was taking so long we never actually made it to ordering. We ended up walking out and had breakfast in town. Simply put, don t bother going here.

Alfredo was decent enough could use more chicken pork chop was brutal something overpowered it way too much beef rip was decent sides were average cheese cake was weird but alright shortcake was just fruit on a shortcake base something a child could do service was decent flies wouldn t leave us alone 5/10 would barely recommend

Reserved the place for the patio the day before. When we came they didn t have our reservation for the patio. The patio was empty. They could not provide any service for us. We were 6 people with 2 kids and had to leave and look for another place.Very disappointed with the service. This resort should be aware of their service in their main restaurant!!!!!

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would . The service is amazing and so was dinner . I would totally recommend stopping by if you are in the area

We had a great dinner at Eclipse. We had the chowder, vegetable dumplings and fish & chips. All very good but the chowder really stood out. Our server, Christine M. was amazing, the best service Ive experienced in a long time.

Excellent meal at an outstanding restaurant! We had three course table d hôte. I had the salad, which was fresh and delicious with just the right amount of dressing, followed by the prosciutto wrapped stuffed chicken,which was beautifully presented, accompanied by several different veggies and scrumptious! Dessert was Pumpkin spice creamer brûlée, which was very yummy, even though I m not a huge Pumpkin fan. We had the wine pairings which provided a different wine with each course. I won t have that again. A nice Cab Sav would have been more enjoyable. Overall the service and food was amazing and we had a lovely evening!

Went for dinner buffet - very disappointed in choice. No roast beef or shrimp, just roasted chicken thighs and pork ribs plus tuna sushi. Three salad choices. Variety was not what we expected for $37.95 plus drinks and tip. Desserts were good though. Would prefer compass restaurant net time if we go again.

Breakfast here was great but they advertised buffet and we were only offered a la carte options which ended up being really good anyway.

The burger was a little dry. And we all know of the boots arent polished etc...

Completely overpriced and terrible quality.

Food was ok. Was priced too high for what it was. I think they charge so much for the comvience of not having to go anywhere. Well guess what we went to plenty other places, paid normal prices for better food.

Never wrote a review before in my life, always thought people were way too entitled in these reviews...until this restaurant came along. Selection of food was great BUT the quality of all was terrible on top of being luke warm at best. Servers were no where to be found until half way through our meal and never came back until 15 mins after we were done. Then I get a wildly overpriced bill. Save your money, save your time and save your patience. Youd get better quality at Tim Hortons.

We stayed at Deerhurst for 3 nights and had dinner for 7 people at Eclipse restaurant. Very happy with the experience! Just enough good quality choices the food was well prepared! Might be a bit pricey but you are at Deerhurst and in tourist area so expect to pay a bit more.

Excellent dining experience and staff here. Love the weekend brunches. Note that they are typically only available during breakfast/brunch and dinner hours. Special events can run a bit pricey here though. Recommend signing on to the Deerhurst Preferred Membership program if you dine here often.

Saturday breakfast buffet was overpriced and not good. Food was cold and had little to no flavour. We paid $50 for 2 of us and we ate barely a plate each.. not worth your money. Tim Hortons provides a better experience.

I had the ELK for dinner. Not much of a gamey meat lover, but that was one of the best meals Ive ever had. The staff is terrific and the view over the entire resort is truely breath taking.
