Amazing set up and fantastic food.

Great good and wonderful atmosphere! Gerald took great care of me during a short stop in for lunch in-between closings. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with onion rings and they were both excellent! I would highly recommend The Martin!

Very disappointed with this sportsbar that advertises on a huge banner that they show the Sunday night NFL game. Beware.... they will kick you out at 10pm even with 4 minutes left on the Sunday night NFL game. No joke, they dont stay open for anyone past 10pm. They should/should take down their huge NFL banner that says they show the Sunday night NFL game. They dont show the ending which is disappointing.

Sat at the bar to watch football. Bobby and Nick were great. Service was quick and beer was cold.

**CUSTOMERS BEWARE** Ordered one pour of Michters Rye on the rocks. Shouldve been no more than $12 or so. Giving no indication of the price, the bartender took it upon themselves to give me a 10 year version of the drink and charged me $76.30. Immediately after it was poured, I was informed of the price. I then notified the bartender I no longer wanted the drink and immediately returned it to the bartender. Bar owner Jordi insisted payment be made in full. **POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES** **BAR USES THREAT TO CALL POLICE AS SCARE TACTIC** **As a courtesy, I called the owner back as requested, no resolution reached**

Stopped in today for a cold beverage and snack. After reviewing the menu, we ordered a side of tots and side of queso. Although we did receive our food quickly, the bartender brings out the chips & queso appetizer in addition to a side of tots. All would have been fine and dandy had the chips not been stale and the queso been from a Tostitos jar I could have easily purchased from the grocery store. We clarified with the servers that we did not intend to order the chips and queso appetizer but they responded saying it wasn t possible to ring in a side of queso. The chips and queso were left mostly untouched and we managed to eat half of the tots that tasted like old grease. Beers were good.

Cocktails are disgusting at this place.

I ve stopped by here several times but I tried the food for the first time Saturday morning after a gym session. Those fish tacos slapped, and I could have drank one of each flavor of those mimosas. One of my new fave brunch spots.

Fried green tomatoes! Thats all I have to say. The absolute best Ive had and the reason that I go to The Martin. Im not saying there arent other menu highlights or that the cocktails arent great, but their fried green tomatoes are all the reason you need. Served with the perfect dollop of pimento cheese, you will not be disappointed.

Ive been here plenty of times, and its been fine. Today, I ordered ONE high noon ( $8.00 anywhere ealse), and it was $22.00 because it was an elevated seltzer there was not a price on the menue and when I asked about why it was so much they simply said I asked if you wanted a white Claw or high noon Apperantly, they add an extra shot but put a price on the menu or let people know. $45 for 2 canned drinks is ridiculous

The Martin has the best grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. I ve been there a few times and the people I go with really enjoy the food they get. The bartenders are awesome!

I have been a valid attendee for months now ever since I moved down to Huntsville, but after tonight, it s safe to say my money is better off being spent elsewhere. I have never been treated as unfairly tonight by security at The Martin and Sammy Teens in all my times of going to the establishment. I was not allowed entrance into the establishment solely because of the teared style of white jeans I had on. I have worn these same exact jeans and been allowed entrance before NUMEROUS times! Unethical . Yes Racist . Yes Picking/Choosing who is allowed entrance when others who GET ACCESS have THE SAME ATTIRE on as you . Yes I will GLADLY go spend my hundreds of dollars elsewhere in an environment where I am welcomed and served promptly!

1 server for like the whole place not her fault they need more help it was a Tuesday night. The food was just so so I ordered the Mac and cheese balls the buffalo chicken dip and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The fried Mac and cheese has marinara on top which is really weird. The Nashville hot sandwich was good but it pretty hot after a few bites.

Food was just okay. The atmosphere was pretty cool though. I got the chicken sandwich with fries. The fries were pretty good but the crust on the chicken was a little burnt. Also got the Buffalo chicken dip as an app. It was okay also. It took forever for our food to come out.

Fun friendly environment. Fried goat cheese balls were really good.

Originally planned to go to a place around the corner wed heard about but it was a 1 hour wait. Wound up here and not disappointed. A bit loud for me and no air conditioning (large garage doors open for a breeze) but the service was fast considering the place was packed. BBQ pork sandwich was very good.

Bartenders were AWESOME, so attentive, entertaining & offered us great service. The food was really delicious (Buffalo Chicken Flatbread.) This was our 2nd time there & definitely not our last. Highly recommend.

Food was great,but music was so loud you cant even here the waitress, we had to yell to get our order across. Nice location, prob wont be back due to how loud it is, felt like I was at a rave.

Been to the Martin several times for drinks but this was the first time I got food and it was very good! Highly recommend the drunken chicken sandwich as you get a huge piece of chicken and it makes for a great sandwich. The burger was pretty good, Im just not a burger person, but my friends liked theirs a lot. Staff was friendly and came around often to serve us and get us drinks and see how we were doing. Would dine here again!

Big Sports Saturday and 1 wall has the NFL game 3 of 4 tv s. I asked to put an ESPN SEC basketball game (2 ranked teams) on the off tv no one is watching and the owner/manager said no. Just ridiculous! No one can watch the same game on 3 different tv s!!!!

Visited on 4/1/22. Love the open setup. Can enjoy the weather and still be inside. Food was really good. Only bad thing was location of the restrooms. There are tables close to the mens restroom entrance. The server was great. Recommend trying if youre in the area.

You had me at Apple candied Bacon...! Met an ol college buddy for lunch and wanted to find one of Huntsvilles unique, downtown eateries. I had seen The Martins upstairs Bistro and Bar from their open garage door window from across the street at the VA office. Plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sporting event from. I ordered the Marti BLT...and can now say its the best BLT Ive ever had; Apple candied Bacon with fried green tomatoes, with guacamole and topped with a fried egg! Each bite brought a new and distinct flavor, which made the quite large sandwich, soon disappear. The bartender was also the waiter during lunch and did a good job taking care of everyone. If youre downtown and need a fairly quick but unique lunch, give it a shot.

The experience was horrible. The employees that day made our party seem very unwanted and made it so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving. The food was not very good for more than one person and we were a party of about 12 or more (which I believe is what made them upset a big group and issues with food their fault on the food) only to find out that they would not remake the food or replace it and wed have to pay for another dish in addition to what was not eaten (at this point we didnt want remakes because...well you know). We were told lies about children being allowed AFTER everyone ordered and were told no refunds would happen...by the way this news did not come until almost and hour later. Insects kept showing up in my drinks after they were sent back twice! Our waitress was nice and we took care of her but we will not be dining here ever again. We were told there was no manager on duty that day so I guess they just did what they wanted to.

Not sure why I didnt review The Martin the first time we came. This is our second visit and both were stellar. Great staff, and just as important, incredible food. I got Sriracha shrimp and my wife got hot wings (they apparently have two levels of hot above what she got). Pretty much perfect on both. Easily among the best Sriracha/firecracker/bang bang shrimp Ive had anywhere. My wife loved the wings. You need to visit this place.

While the Martin had my card,I received an alert from my bank, asking had I just paid $50 for Only fans. Watch out for these guys. This was after them telling me that they couldnt change a channel to the Auburn game because the boss wasnt there. So much for it being a sports bar.

This place has a great balance between a perky, hopping bar, and a cozy restaurant. Its not too loud unlike so many bars, no sports blasting. You can stand and mill around chatting, or find a quieter corner to sit. The food is decent, bit pricey for the quality. A $16 sandwich? Theyve got good happy hour deals though. And they have pretty good drink offerings. The best French 75 Ive ever been served. The staff is also super nice. My sister has a ton of allergies and the chef couldnt figure out how to make it safe for her at first, but they were willing to make it over, no problems.

I love an open air/roof top bar. You can t go wrong with an evening of people watching and drinking. We visited after dinner so we came to try the drinks. My husband enjoyed whatever he drank but I asked the bartender for a recommendation (I know rookie mistake) and I said I was looking for something sweet with rum. I thought I was going to get a mixed drink. She brings out something called a bushwacker. It was like drinking a dessert...it was so sweet that after a few sips I had to sit it to the side. I m sure someone else would love that but it wasn t my thing. So just make sure to be as specific as possible if you don t know what you want to drink and ask what is in whatever they recommend lol. The pictures of the food look great so I look forward to visiting again, possibly for brunch and not another bushwacker.

Casual feeling upper-story bar and restaurant boasting solid bar food. Low key until late in the evening when it turns into more of a bar than a restaurant. Drinks are average in quality.

The food and service were great. We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. They were amazing. The southern fried chicken is a huge portion and it was delicious.

Went to this nice establishment yesterday to enjoy a nice evening. The establishment was busy and I totally understand. I stood at the bar while the bald bartender blantly ignored me and help the partons around me. I thought the bartender didnt like people of color(still undetermined)but after reading the previous comments, he is naturally unhappy with himself

Its okay. Service was pretty meh, felt fairly forgotten about. Had the bushwacker which says something like be careful this one is strong and it was truly just a milkshake. Food was good just not really worth the price. Old Black Bear is pretty equivalent price-wise and blows this out of the water.

Interesting 2nd story location with a good vibe. Food was good enough, food and drink selection was also pretty good. Service was pretty random. The bartenders didnt seem interested in serving (but they had a really enthralling conversation, I hope!), and the servers were okay. When I got there they were understaffed, and it showed. Later on, more servers showed up, and service improved dramatically.

When all of Huntsville rolls up Sundays @ 3pm, The Martin is the place to be. An upscale dive bar with a seriously cool kitchen, an upstairs open air setting and great service. Our group of 6 had a great time here last night and will return soon. Dig It!

We went recently for lunch on a Thursday. The half priced wings were pretty good and you get plenty of them. The four goat cheese balls were pretty overpriced imo. The Caesar salad was good, huge, but overpriced. I had the frozen lemonade it was delicious, they really skimped on the liquor. It was a hot day and it was very warm with the windows open. Not a fan of the constant country music.

Do not go to this place! Management rude and obnoxious...Very unfriendly environment. We left today and went to Humphreys and it was a totally different experience...they were friendly and accommodating at Humphreys at seemed like they actually wanted our business...Completely different from The Martin where you felt Completely UNWELCOME!

The slim bearded bartender guy was very dry and not friendly at all! He brought our food and didn t check on us until we flagged him down and it took several attempts to get his attention. All of the bartenders were too busy on their phones to pay attention to us.

Its upstairs. Not too many though. Bright open space. Roll up garage doors allow for open air view of street. Only been for brunch so far. They nail great Hollandaise on Eggs Florentine. Tried goat cheese balls w a yummy honey dipping sauce. The bed of baby spinach and grape tomatoes was fresh and good w it all. Shrimp and grits were great as was the sausage gravy biscuits. Mimosa special till noon made everything just fantastic. Well be back!

He was super sweet, nice and even with his hands full managed to get out me and my friends drinks, food and snapped a couple of awesome pics for us as we wined and dined ourselves! 10/10 would recommend this place! Cool venue on the second floor overlooking the street. It has lots of TVs to catch a game, cool atmosphere, and lots of potential. However, just because its on the second floor doesnt mean you should charge $28 for a 2 oz pour of Blantons and $22 for 2 oz pour of Angels Envy. If you go, stick with beer and skip the food. If you want a good cocktail at a decent price, go to SIP, the bottle, or cotton row.
