50 Main St E, Huntsville, ON P1H 2C7, Canada
Canadian bar & grill decorated with local artwork features weekend live music & a covered patio.
Love coming to this spot! The butter chicken was crazy good and i felt like i was in India 😍 my recently chosen wife ordered the Mac and cheese and she was absolutely DELIGHTED!!!
This is a great place for drinks. Boston pizza or Pizza nova is better choice for pizza. Burger is acceptable but can be better for that price. Expect very very very slow (or no) services unless you are drinking beer. Note: we ordered carnivore pizza, super salty and it's like bacon crumb plus pepperoni. The dough is not airy, flat and sad. Don't get it!!!!
A great choice for local travel. Pear & candied pecan salad & Magic Mushroom Pizza. Thin and neatly baked but need waiting to eat it.
Excellent. Awesome patio with a great view of the river. The food and service was good. I tried the fish tacos, they were very tasty, I'd get those again. Recommend this place if you are looking for a casual meal with good service and tasty food. Check them out
I was looking for pizza in Huntsville and decided to give this place a try since it seemed promising. We asked to sit on the upstairs patio, which was nice at first. We ordered our food, but soon after, it started to rain heavily. Naturally, my friends and I didn’t want to get soaked while eating, so we asked a waitress if we could move downstairs. She said it was no problem, so one friend grabbed his plate (two of us were still waiting for our food) and headed to the dining room. We thought we were about to be seated when the manager(Sep 1, 2024) approached us and said, "You have to go back upstairs to the other patios or get takeout boxes," essentially telling us to either go sit in the rain or just leave, as their second patio seating option was full. To make matters worse, as she said this, I saw another group of four walk into the dining room with their plates and sit in a booth. We would’ve been happy to sit at the bar even but weren’t even given the option. My friends and I were confused and frustrated by how she spoke to us, so I decided we’d just leave. After all that, I hoped the food would at least be decent. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. You can’t serve food this mid and have a manager treat customers that mid. It just makes average food taste worse. On a positive note, the waitresses were kind and accommodating, so none of this was their fault. They did try to help us find a seat after we moved. Here’s what I ordered: - Crispy Fried Shrimp: Disappointing and not even worth discussing—wish I hadn’t ordered it. Pretty gross. - Garlic Naan: It came with a single piece of “naan” with marble cheese for $13.50. It tasted okay, but $13.50 for a tiny piece of bread with cheese? Hard pass. - Margherita Pizza: Just an average, mediocre pizza. - Frozen Piña Colada: Also not great. All in all, save your money and eat somewhere else! 100 bucks wasted when I could’ve used that to buy a cool board game down the street instead. If I get a refund for this evening i’ll remove my one star and call it a wash
My partner and I came here for our 3 year anniversary tonight and it was so refreshing to have a great dining experience! We were in and out in under an hour, the service was fast and the food was hot. Our server Patrick was amazing, he was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive without pestering. It’s a rare treat for us to be able to come here but some of our best dates have been in this restaurant; they really have a wonderful group of people working here. Looking forward to our next visit!
Came in from out of town to meet family and met here for dinner. We ordered hamburgers and pizza. Everything came fresh. And flavourful. We were very happy thank you for the great dinner.
This place is located at a perfect spot! They have a two tier patio with really nice views. The food was good we ordered pizza and wings... the only reason for the low food rating is just because the wings were really dry... otherwise everything is great!.. we ate on the patio but the inside is really super cool!!! Their menu does have gluten free (friendly) items as well as vegetarian. Did not try the gf as my daughter wasn't with us this trip.
Never ever order takeout from here. Foods cold and soggy. No matter how many times I try.
The Cowboy Burger is fantastic! Perfectly cooked, juicy patty with just the right amount of smoky flavor, topped with fresh, flavorful ingredients.
Best Long Island Ice Tea in Muskoka. Dawn is fabulous and Ben is funny and cute!!! Definitely come to this little treasure for an escape into muskoka for fun and great eats and drinks. Thanks Dawn and Ben!
Did the Nachos will pulled pork - amazing!!!!
Quality below expectations - pizza dough not that good , burgers just average
Nice selection of beers, pizzas are not bad and good service.
When we arrived to the restaurant there was nobody on the main floor and nobody to greet us. We wondered if they were open. When we decided to walk in further the bar tender, who just returned, asked a server if he could help us and he said he was too busy and another waiter expressed the same sentiments, she seemed annoyed. Not very customer service oriented. The waitress did end up bringing us up to the patio but i felt like we were bothering her. Not impressed. Once we were seated on the patio the staff up there was amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive and personable. Despite being busy he was smiley and made our experience way better than our initial reception. I would recommend this place as it is good. As for the unpleasant experience upon arriving, we will chalk that up to they were having a bad day.
Must try hidden menu crazy salad
GREAT food and amazing service. We sat on the covered patio and it was lovely. Felt the breeze and enjoyed the view in a bug free zone. Will definitely be going back!
For the cost of this restaurant the food is not good enough. If you are going to overprice starters, mains and drinks please do better. I was not impressed with the quality. Will not return.
I live about two hours away from huntsville and had visited this resturant. I placed an order an got the wrong order, and the waitress took it away and after awhile brought me my correct order. Upon returning home I realized the resturant charged me for the order I had placed as well as for the wrong order *charged me twice. I sent an e-mail to them along with the proof of the receipt as well as details of the waitress so that she can also verify as she was very apologetic of the error. I gave a call to the manager and was informed theyll get back to me due to how busy they were which is completely understandable. I received am email that they can refund the $ if I come in person. I sent an email explaining it was 2 hours away and if theres any other way. I have not heard back at all. I resent the email and still no response. As a stay at home mom, this was a treat for me and money I would not easily spend. I am extremely disappointed as it was an error on thier part.
WORST RESTAURANT IN TOWN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! First when we sat down, it took forever for one of the waitresses to come to our table and we had to call them 2-3 times before anyone actually cared to come. After we started to order, she told us no more pizzas tonight which were the signature dishes and the sole reason we came in the first place It d be nice if we were told earlier before After I ordered a 9 wings and a salmon salad. We sat and waited over an hour for the wings to come and when it finally decided to come, it was 8 wings instead and there were raw. And we waited another half an hour for the salad which never came. I told the waitress what happened and then after waiting for another 15 minutes, when the manager came and I addressed the issues again to her but she said I don t care and I m not gonna deal with your issues and you can post all you want online whatsoever. You can see how busy we are here and you don t make a single difference to us at all. and as we were leaving she told me don t come back . I m truly amazed tbh, What a great service from this restaurant smh
Restaurant in downtown Huntsville where we had dinner. We had seen the pizzas on the nearby tables and they inspired us, we were right to take it! Really good pizza. Very friendly, nice staff. Original and very welcoming location. Top quality/price!
Great food great service, will definitely revisit
Curious to know how the poutine looks like? Because the waiter told me these potato wedges are French Fries. If the fries are finished just stay honest why you have to lie? Do you think i am a 5year old?
Terrible service and mediocre food.
Had a great dining experience over the long weekend. The service was excellent, and the heated patio was a lovely spot to enjoy our meal. Favorites included crispy onion rings, tasty tacos (fish and pulled pork), and quesadilla (veg)- all generously portioned.
I have enjoyed the mill quite a few times in the past. But the last 2 visits I have been quite disappointed with their food. Yesterday my chicken fingers were very dark and tasted like the oil needed to be changed. Had a bite of my partners fish because it was darker than normal as well and it had the same aftertaste. The time before I had one of their pizzas and the squash was not cooked, and the pizza was blah. I then tired some of my partners coleslaw and it was gross. No flavour and obviously came out of a bag, not that there is anything wrong. But at least make it take amazing.
Bland! Not to our liking.
We had a great lunch. The staff was lovely and helpful. Food was tasty.
I was not particularly impressed by this place. It started with a cold reception from the grumpy man who seated us. We dined in the back area, which was quite busy so we were understanding that it took 15 minutes before a server was able to come to our table. Our server was delightful and did a great job. The food, however, was not great. I had a burger, the patty was tiny, the caramelized onions were barely detectable (I order the dirty burger). My wife had the nachos -- which granted said kettle chips on the menu, so thats what we got, but honestly they were not appetizing at all. Barely melted cheese and scarce amounts of beans and corn sprinkled over them -- the salsa was brown and pungent. Sorry to be direct like this, I dont enjoy leaving unfavourable reviews, but I felt I had to here mainly because the prices were quite steep too, which overall left me feeling less than satisfied.
Consistently good, been here tons of times and I always get exactly what I hope when I order. Everything Ive tried on the menu is super yummy: fish and chips, burger, chicken fingers, nachos, caesar salad, Mac and cheese, cauliflower bites, you name it. Im also always able to get a table pretty quick even if Im with a huge party. Pretty much always my go-to in Huntsville unless Im in the mood for Thai. Vibes and service also good served by Shawn tonight who was lively, patient and helpful :) Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free buns Kid-friendliness: Definitely a family friendly restaurant. Simple pub food.
Service dog owners beware. Pre-advices staff that we would be coming to eat with a service dog, however when we walked in with our certified service dog we were given a lot of grief by staff. Our dog head wearing her vest and certification tag.
Great food tonight. The service was great.
Best in downtown Huntsville. But in 2024? Sorry but really slow service in 3 visits this year. Plus used to love the fish and chips. Still love the fish. Tried it 3 times this year. Love the batter taste. But the batter so thick and bigger than the fish is a turnoff or a ripoff or both. Spent over $400 this season so no response means zero in 2025.
Our adult children went here tonight to have dinner. They were sat on the patio, and as my first son s plate came out it started to pour rain. Although many kind waitresses offered to seat them elsewhere, the manager adamantly refused telling them to eat in the rain outside or leave. While they waited for the rest of their food, many others from the patio came inside and sat down at tables. There can be no reason but outright bigotry and ignorance to explain such treatment. We will make sure everyone knows to never go there.
Bit pricey but the deck offer good votes the kettle chip nachos are great.
The service from one of the staff members was unacceptable and downright rude. The waitress appeared to be in her 40s or 50s. 1. We had a group of seven, but we were only given three plates with forks and knives. Even after the food arrived, we still only had three plates until we had to specifically ask for more. That s basic service and it shouldn t be something we need to remind staff about. 2. When the drinks were being served, I was recording a quick video for my Instagram, showing the drinks with my friends. My friends pointed out that the waitress looked annoyed and had a poker face, seemed worried that I was filming her. That really pissed me off because I wasn t filming her face at all. If she was concerned, she could ve just asked me to check if she was in the video. Instead, her behaviour came off as extremely rude. As for the food, the fish and chips were a letdown. There was absolutely no seasoning on the fish, making it tasteless and unappealing, and the chips weren t any better. My friend ordered a taco I can t remember which one and mentioned that the sauce was just so-so. The burger was fine, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant, neither for the service nor the food. This is the first time I ve ever felt compelled to leave a Google review, and that s because this experience was one of the worst I ve ever had.
Weve been here a few times - it is definitely becoming our go-to place for lunch! Too many good options, but we both got pizza (with plenty to take home!). Great service, wonderful views - we were on the main level patio, but there is a second level patio as well. Highly recommend.
To be concise: Incredibly slow service. Incompetent waitstaff. Subpar food. Further details: This place has decent enough atmosphere but nothing special. We ordered mocktails which were probably the only highlight of the meal, though arrived 15-20 mins after ordering them. The food quite honestly felt like everything was a frozen meal reheated in the microwave on high. For context, we ordered the garlic naan and a quesadilla with fries. The naan was edible enough but looked like something you would throw together if all you had left in your refrigerator was no name brand shredded cheese and day old flat bread. The quesadilla was burnt and void of the protein we ordered. But ultimately, the incredibly slow and incompetent service is why I am rating this establishment 1 star. Our server appeared nice but at the end of the day that s all they were. We waited 25-30mins for our appetizer to come followed by a sweet 45mins for our mains. By this point, I was done with the whole experience and asked for our bill - this part of the service was executed promptly as money is a motivator as we all know. Wouldn t recommend this restaurant. Won t be coming back. Would however, recommend management look into initiating performance reviews and wean out the incompetent ones.
Mill on Main is my go to in Huntsville, it never disappoints. My last visit was with a girlfriend and let me tell you, it was amazing. We started with the brushchetta and then had the pear salad with steak. Our waitress Dawn Lawless was FANTASTIC, she went above and beyond. She set the mood for our luncheon, singing, happy she was. So thank you, for making our last visit of the season the best ever. See you next year
Waited 10 minutes at the pleasr wait to be seated sign and no one even bothered to come seat us. We were ignored by the chef by the pizza oven. Terrible service
2nd visit in two days. Liked the place, food, service, everything.
The service was very friendly. I had the mill street burger on their GF bun. The beef was amazing and juicy, I just wish they toasted their bun because its GF it shredded to pieces. I still would highly recommend this place.
Went for a late lunch with my bf and another couple. Food, service, an aesthetics were amazing! Only complaint that it is a little pricy. After tip it was about 80$ for just soft drinks a pizza and a pasta. It s right downtown Huntsville, absolutely beautiful and tasty!
Best thing is sky deck at Mill on Main. Really enjoyed the meal under open sky on sky deck. Service is little slow because of less staff and huge restaurant. Pizzas, cauliflower tacos and burgers with local Muskoka is best what you can try in vegetarian options. Ambience is best. Updating as on July 2024: Everything was as before just the taste for cauliflower tacos changed a lot, the mango purée waste no good, before they were using mango chunks. Although kettle chips loaded nachos were too delicious
Amazing food and service. Nice people and the priest was very kind. The only problem is they did the annual blood sacrifice and they didn t have a lamb to bleed into the mouth of the owner for our lord because someone s husky chewed it up so they used my daughter.
Good food, came quickly, nice portion sizes.
Great food. Our server Dawn Lawless was very personable and helpful in selecting our beer. Enjoyed our dinner after a long drive.
Best smoked salmon and tacos. The server, Don, was one the kindest and most helpful person during our trip in Canada.
Delicious food, gorgeous, staff was caring.
Still waiting for our food! My fam has been sitting watching the olympics for an hour now. Gingerale is gone, and our waiter has vanished. About to leave, but I figured I d look to see what others have said about this place. Sadly our first time may be our last
Stopped in there today on our way back to the Barrie area. Great A++ service and the food was superb!!! The Nachos were more than enough for two people and were loaded and delicious. We also had the carnivore pizza....The Nachos and the pizza was too much food for two people so we took some of both home for later. The prices were very reasonable especially for how fresh and tasty the food was. Also the washrooms were very clean and had lots of room. Well done ! We go through Huntsville quite a bit and will DEFINITELY be back. We found it through a Google search for pizza and turned out to be quite the find!! Thanks !!!
Pulled pork Sammy, fish n chips and cheese pizza all A++
Very disappointed came here last night and was very busy. Server got flustered as a result and views and noise was not pleasant. Food time was very inconsistent my father got his pizza and I didn t get my food until half an hour later. Food was decent though. Overall place has a lot of potential I would go again on a non weekend
My lamb stew was a bit too sweet and the garlic bread was quite stale:(
Wood Fire Pizza was Excellent
The food at this restaurant was not very good. I ordered fish n chips and it had bo flavour and the fries were not fresh cut fries. My partner ordered pizza which was not cooked well. Overall not a good experience and would not go back
Nice place. Large portions. Burgers and ribs and drinks. Our server was great. Nice location.
Solid choice for lunch in Huntsville. Huge new outdoor patio area means there should be plenty of room. Some limitations for larger tables 4+ (we are 5 and they were quite strict about not having even a high chair on the end of a 4 person table) Food is good, dependable, not outstanding. The pizzas are the exception and the in-house oven makes all the difference. Specials like the maple bacon pizza are worth trying Kids menu with good selection (see note on sliders below) and free drinks refills Good draft beer selection - Muskoka Cream Ale and Muskoka Craft Lager were our choices Will go back again when in Huntsville next Kid-friendliness: Do have highchairs The kids sliders was actually a half burger person kid in two halves (ie 2 quarter burgers in tiny slider buns) for the price felt like splitting an adult burger between two kids would have been better plan
We went into Huntsville for dinner tonight and decided to check out The Mill on Main. The person greeting guests at the front door was very friendly, my wife asked if seats were available on the second level Patio and they were. Our server greeted us almost immediately and was great. The food was fantastic. My son had a pizza that wasn t on the menu but they were happy to make a Canadian, my wife and daughter split the Mac and cheese and Butter Chicken poutine. The butter chicken poutine was so good tons of flavour and a really good size portion. Would totally recommend it. The Mac and cheese also was great and a large portion. Most of it came home. I had the Cowboy Burger, house made patty tons of flavour, fries were good, side of gravy though was next level made those fries top shelf. I would recommend checking this place out for sure. Kid-friendliness: There was definitely kids when we had dinner and the age range was between 4-11 years old. That s a guess though.
We tried to stop in for dinner. After waiting for 5-8 minutes to be seated, we decided to leave. The staff just looked at us and no one offered to seat us.
The absolute worst fish and chips I ve ever had in my life. The service was brutal. No offers for refills on our drinks. Server was pleasant but not a good server at all. Overall, horrible experience. Very expensive and poor quality food. Also, their Internet was down and couldn t process payments.
Joan was a fantastic server we had on the back patio. She was attentive, kind, and checked in on our table multiple times. Food was hot and fresh and came out in great time even with a power outage occurring and the kitchen being very busy. So far the best experience eating out in Huntsville. GO JOAN!!!
Great wood fired thin crust pizza, the smoked pulled pork tacos (3) were jamb packed with pulled pork and very good
We had a family birthday with 15 people, the service was very friendly and efficient, the food was amazing and hot with portions were larger then expected
Wow! We were late arrivals, but that didnt deture the staff from serving us and making us feel at home. The food was spectacular, the service was unbelievable, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Whatever you are doing to make this little slice of heaven a success, keep it up. We will return every single time we are in the area. Thank you for sharing a great experience with us.
Wow! Mid day weekend pit stop to refuel. Caesars and salads extra ordinary. The salmon salmon blueberry vinaigrette dressing exceptional! i will be talking about this for a while. Additionally the Caesars a touch horseradish and lovely green bean garnish - chef s kiss! Our server engaged and very oriented. Will be back for sure! Delish and nice atmosphere. Thanks!
Went for Lunch with friends ordered bunch of different dishes and cocktails which all were amazing. Tacos is must try. chips were house made and dips are delicious. Kids menu would need some work.
Best Nachos around! Manager Steve is the man, love this place! Recommend it to everyone.
The covered patio with a view of the river was really beautiful. The food was delicious (I recommend the Dirty Burger if you like a little bit of spice). They seated us away from other parties, presumably because we have a noisy toddler, which was honestly just nicer for everyone. Cant wait to go back! Parking: No parking right at the restaurant since its downtown, but theres lots of free parking lots nearby
Great place to drop in when in Huntsville. Good pub food (although they used to have better fries). Wood oven pizza. Vegan/vegetarian options. Covered and roof top patio looking over the river. Family friendly. Vegetarian options: A few options on the menu. Wrap. Burger.
Food was great (especially the pizza) but what make this place special is the staff.. Everyone smiles and are perfect professionals. Would strongly recommend.
Great experience once again!
Waitress was great casual came back to check on things at the perfect time. I had a Maui Wowi pizza with banana peppers crust was a bit overdone but otherwise nailed it! Would have liked a topping list for a build your own option. I would lay down a stack of cash for a panzerotti made by their staff. Wife had the chicken quesadilla also highly rated next time were in Huntsville Im sure we will stop in again
a lovely place in regards to decor/ambience, but unfortunately the food is nothing to write home about. it is not awful or offensive by any means, but it is just not good enough to warrant going out of your way to try. i ordered the magic mushroom pizza and although it was cooked well, it was absolutely drenched in oil - overpowering the genuinely good flavours of the mushrooms. i left painfully underwhelmed.
Very good place to relax and enjoy good chill out music. The restaurant is very big, but the best area its the roof patio, we sat infront of the bar area and omg the Waiter super super nice, was a young boy that maybe because a couple drinks, I dont remember his name, but amazing service. We have some oven pizzas that were good and many beers , their selection is pretty good . Was a sunny day, so the patio was an excellent idea. In our next visit we will go back here for sure. Enjoy the summer everyone.
Loved everything about this place
The establishment was beautiful. The server seemed new to the job, so I wont berate a kid thats starting out. We all have to start somewhere. Now, down to the brass tax. Among the dishes our table ordered, one was a poutine. The poutine in question was air fried bagged fries such as Cavendish. The gravy was also very reminiscent of st.huberts canned gravy, and the cheese curds were minimal. I felt like my kid made it for me. Another dish was smoked salmon with a salad. The salmon was fridge temperature and flavorless. The salad was wilted and just unappealing. Sadly, we were super excited to try this spot out while traveling across ontario. We actually had it on our list of places to stop after talking to a friend who had a better experience. I wont say that others shouldnt give it a go, its just on my never again list. I just dont see the value for my money.
Horrible experience. Came with family friends and children. Food (incl appetizers) took an hour to come. Once it did it was bland and the fish and chips had no flavour and the batter was raw in the middle. Showed the waitress but the manager wouldn t remove the cost from the bill. Only took 50% off. Previous repeat customer not coming back.
Went for a pizza , not sure how it would taste , ..........it was great! Ordered a second to take home . Food
Great location with service and food to match
The pizza was good and staff were friendly.
Service excellent. Had pizza and stew . Food was average . Atmosphere great . Outdoor upper floor closed which is too bad .
Great place for a beer with dinner. My wife s fish and chips were good. My pizza was ok, not great flavor to it but cooked well. Server was really nice.
Lemonade horrible. Food has went down hill sin e last year. Way too expensive compared to every other place. Wont be back. Boston Pizza way better food and value
This is a very late review. We ate here back in November of 2023. I really liked the atmosphere and the food was good. The service was great.
Seating in front and back. Pizza was all right.
Pizza was pretty good. Very fresh, non-oily. Good service.
Hand made burgers are amazing, fish n chips was massive and delicious and the kids cheese pizza on naan was a hit!
The food was very good. We ordered the potato skins, cauliflower tacos, bean and chicken burgers with potato wedge and kettle chips and a Pizza. Everything was very tasty except the pizza. The pizza was little bit cold. Cheese felt cold.
Lovely experience celebrating Easter lunch at The Mill on Main. Our server was sweet and kind. Unfortunately we missed her name so thank you for the great service! Sat at the heated patio with the beautiful view of the nearby river. I got the Mac&Cheese with crispy chicken & garlic bread it was delicious! My bf got the Lamb Stew - could have used more lamb since the ratio of veggies to lamb was 4:1. For drinks we opted for mocktails I got the Strawberry crush and my bf got the Peach Melba. Out of the 2 would recommend the Strawberry Crush. Overall great experience! Would recommend if you are in downtown Huntsville do check it out!
A great spot. Were not local but we saw from the menu that The Mill On Main could accommodate our dietary restrictions (a vegan & a vegetarian). We had an incredible mushroom pizza and a burger with amazing potato wedges. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very warm. Well be back and well recommend folks check it out. Vegetarian options: Tons Dietary restrictions: Vegan cheese available, gluten friendly options available
We recently had a nice dinner at The Mill on Main. We had the breaded cauliflower bites, the mill power bowl and the carnivore pizza. All were very good, the cauliflower being my favourite. A nice local place for a good dinner. Parking: Parking front and back. We were there in the offseason though.
Overall great experience!
Super cute spot, good food.
No visit to Huntsville is ever complete without a visit to The Mill On Main. Their Mill Burger is delicious, and the service is quick and attentive. They have a patio on the upper floor with a beautiful view of the nearby lake, which is the perfect place to eat a meal on a warm summer evening. I recommend The Mill to anyone and everyone who passes through Hunstville!
Wonderful place, some of the best pizza I ve had!! Great service too.
Love their mushroom & margarita pizzas and the cauliflower bites!
Id like to give 3.5 star but ultimately 3 is more accurate than a 4. My wife and I recently visited and had an ok experience. To summarize, the food was very good, atmosphere very good and our server was good, other than looking over our shoulder when we tried to choose the tip amount. The real issue we had was that the service took WAY TOO LONG. We waited over an hour from the time we ordered our food until it finally came. No apology or excuses were offered, making me wonder if this was normal. The table next to us had their pizza made incorrectly and the other table near us had their fish order improperly cooked. Now I cant complain, our burgers were excellent, as were the sweet potato fries. However the butter chicken poutine was hohum and was lukewarm at best. So if youre in no hurry to eat and know you may be waiting an hour for your food then wed recommend this place. However, if youre in a hurry Id go somewhere else.
The patio is closed on the night we visited but the indoor seating is fine. I love the wood fired pizza as the ingredients are cooked well but gently. However the maple bacon flavor is a little bit too salty (as in the bacon). And their special salad with pear and sweet roasted pecan is delicious, especially with the grilled chicken add on. Staff might be more attentive.
Had not been there in a while. Nice place, great service. I had the turkey sandwich special with cranberry sauce. To my disappointment, it was a lunch/deli meat sandwich. I could have made that at home! Would have though actually turkey meat. Kettle chips are very good. Other than that, the burger was good my friend had. Next time I order off menu, no special.
Nice dining experience. Offer tables, booths or seats at the bar. The 80s music was weird and out of place. Our server didnt tell us the items that the kitchen was out of from the beginning and when we needed more time to decide she disappeared for long time. The back of the menu boosts homemade food yet their potato wedges are store bought and pre-dredged in flour. They do not even have regular fries. Although you can pay extra for sweet potato fries. The ribs were delicious, fall off the bone and tasty sauce that wasnt too sweet. The coleslaw was delicious. Their Cowboy burger was yummy and grilled nicely.
Fish tacos were delicious
Very good burger and sweet potatoes fries. Server was also amazing :)
A lovely afternoon lunch on the patio. Glad we went.
Food was good. Wife is GF and she really enjoyed the pizza.
Food was very tasty and flavourful! Our server named Debbie new how to serve and treated us superb.
Vegetarian options: They have quite a few vegetarian options. Parking: They have parking behind the restaurant, bit tricky to find, or regular street parking if available. Food : 5/5 |
Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free Options Food
Great cozy atmosphere, not too loud even though it was busy. Had my newborn baby with me with no issues. The ribs were delicious, great sauce and fall off the bone tender and great taste. The potato wedges were pretty good too. Friendly staff. Even had a nice change table downstairs to change my baby. Will definitely go again. So many menu options too Kid-friendliness: Staff were friendly to my newborn and didnt mind me feeding her at the table
Great covered patio
I ordered the lamb stew. It was a great hearty meal on a cold day.
Best pizza in town, Ive tried it all! The Magic Mushroom is a pizza designed and made by an expert. Im from Windsor, I know my pizza!
Yummy yum yum! We visited this restaurant during our cottage stay at Lake of bays. You have an option to dine or out on the patio. We choose to dine in because it was 35 degrees + that day. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean and modern. We didnt have to wait long for our orders which was a plus as we were hangry lol. The food was amazing! From the burgers to the sandwiches and gourmet pizza, we all wanted more. I highly recommend this place!
Excellent service! Had Lana as our server and she did a wonderful job at engaging the table and had great recommendations! I loved the atmosphere!
Last straw is not not being asked how my meal was when ... 5. Burnt bacon and burger patty. 4. Unseasoned Burger Patty and served Wilted lettuce. Lets rewind from the begining... 1. Offered a seat in a bar height booth when someone in our party has a cane. 2. Then offered a table in full sun instead of inside the restaurant. We could not see the person in front of us. 3. So we had to change for a 3rd time tables. PLEASE NOTE: Be warned no reservations is taken ... if so this musical chairs fiasco would have been avoided as well as everyones time and energy. 1st time and not wooed to come back even with the GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! Luckily the other 3 burgers were better I guess I was simply the unseasoned and unlucky one.
Loved it, came from Barrie just to eat here. Please, keep up the excellent work and service
The food was amazing, great location and our server Lana was even better
Lana was a great server, would recommend!
The worst dining experience I can remember. Orders were forgotten, wait was 1.5 hours. It was not particularly busy, and it seemed they were well staffed. Waitress was very polite, sounded like the issues they are having are in the kitchen. Would not recommend the place to my worst enemy.
Plentiful seating options; either inside, on a covered patio with a view of the lake or an upper uncovered patio with a more elevated look of the area. Wish I could say more about different food options but every time Ive dined here Ive had the beef dip and its making my mouth water just talking about it -- absolutely dynamite. Fiance had the pizza and loved it and other guests in my party had the burger and said good things as well. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the area.
The pizza there is amazing, thank you to Tracey for the suggestions of pizzas to pick! She was honestly easy going and patient with our party, we were indecisive and she definitely helped a few of my friends through it. I am sorry but thank you for being really good. There is parking nearby and the view on the upstairs patio was really nice!
Friendly service. Good variety on the menu. Generous portions. Clean. What more can you ask for. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free choices include gluten free pizza crusts and buns for the burgers.
Horrible horrible food. Nice patio with nice view. really nice staff trying hard But horrible and left hungry. Food : 1/5
HIGHER RECOMMENDED We had a fantastic lunch with great food , delightful service and nice atmosphere. Definitely will come back.
Food was great but our mains came 20 minutes apart.
Great food, and amazing service Liza was our server and she was awesome! Would recommend.
Being a regular visitor to the area as we have family here, we had never been to the Mill on Main. We came up for the long weekend, decided to eat here and received a mediocre experience. Dont get me wrong, the fish and coleslaw were fantastic. Definitely worth ordering. The other food, however, left much to be desired. Poutine was a side but lacked enough curds to be considered such. The gravy was comparable to sea water with how salty it was. The chicken fingers were standard issue; nothing to write home about. The biggest disappointment, other than the extreme cost of this meal, was the nachos. First off, we asked for no onions or peppers but received both in large quantities. Worst of all, the cheese was on the top layer only. 1/4 of the nachos, cheesey as they should be. The other 3/4 were just chips, extremely salty ones, and toppings thrown on. Based on all of this, the fish alone isnt enough to get me to return for a follow-up meal.
Good good and beer
Love dining here!
All very good. Good service and very good quality of food.
Big portions and they have a wood burning oven to make great pizzas.
The food was amazing (I took mac and cheese) and the meals were huge. Waitress asked if we enjoyed our food and she was really nice. We got our meals quickly and inside of the restaurant was also really cozy. I d definitely come back here!
Great service! Fish and chips was delicious Food
Fantastic place in main Huntsville serving a variety of your favorites with a rooftop open space looking out to the park. The server was very nice and gave great recommendations. I had the fish tacos and the Lucinado pizza. Both were outstanding Vegetarian options: They have vegan cheese and GF crust options for pizzas
Service was very slow. Ordered gluten free meal and was glutened. Dietary restrictions: There were gluten free options on the menu. Food : 1/5 |
Place is very unorganized Pizza comes out way before rest of food because of 2 separate kitchens lol okay time it out.. it s called time management. Chicken fingers tossed isn t tossed it s drizzled over haha. Not the best restaurant to a great muskoka experience Edit: bill came in the menu it says 1.50 sauce Toss charge on bill is $2.50 This place is finding ways to rip tourist off.
We waited for a while at the door with other groups of people. Bartender saw us waiting at the door and didnt even acknowledge us. Hostess sat my bf while I was in the washroom, and told him that our server would be late as she was serving a party in a different area of the restaurant (this place is a bit of a maze). Eventually, someone who was not our server asked if she could take out drink order. She was very friendly, I wish she would have been our server. When we ordered our food, we were told the pizza would come up separate from everything else, as the two kitchens are separate. I definitely hope the restaurant gets a better system in place as my pizza arrived 10+ minutes before my bf chicken fingers. Pizza was great. Chicken fingers were not. He ordered them tossed in sauce, and they barely had any sauce on them. When the server came to check in, it was a quick walk by. I asked for a water, and he said he didnt like his food. She walked away without acknowledging him. When she came back with the water, he asked for more sauce. When the bill came, we were charged $2.50 for the tossed sauce which my bf noted is higher than menu price. Our server shrugged it off. He again let her know that he did not like his food. She didnt even respond. Debit machines were not working, had to try 4 cards before the server would switch out the machine with a new one. At the end of the meal, I noticed lemon seeds from someone elses beverage in the bottom of my water glass. We had no lemons at our table, so it was not from us. Overall, this place seemed pretty disorganized and our server definitely didnt care about providing good service. We wont be coming back. Lesson learned - talk to the locals before eating out in a new restaurant.
As a vegan it s often slim picking for good vegan fare in cottage country. Usually stuck with the choice of a salad with oil and vinegar, fries and sometimes, if I m lucky, a bowl (minus any protein and cheese). Well, The Mill on Main flipped that upside down. My husband and I went yesterday and had the most delicious potato nachos and a wood fired pizza. Both had fresh made cashew cheese which blew the flavour profile off the charts. Our server, Max, was amazing. She was the perfect balance of friendly, knowledgeable about vegan items and attentive. The atmosphere (sat on the upper patio/deck) was beautiful and the serving sizes were quite ample. To be honest, we could have shared the nachos and been satisfied with that alone, but we were so excited about the great food that we downed both meals. The prices were good too. And the manager even stopped by our table as we were leaving and checked to see that we were happy with everything. She was truly interested in our answer not just doing her duty. The only con to the meal was the fact that you get charged for having vegan cheese on items. My thinking is that there was supposed to be cheese on the nachos and the pizza, so it should simply be the same price no up charge. Would have been a 5 star rating if they made the change to this. I would highly recommend The Mill on Main to all vegans travelling in or through Huntsville. Tish & Paul Sheppard
The food was fantastic, the staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was really unique Parking: There are no parking spaces directly at the restaurant, but there are 2 large public parking spaces a maximum of 2 minutes walk away
The food is great here, but waitress is not attentive and helpful. Recommend wood fired pizza, we ordered magic mushroom A bit disappointed for the coffee, my wife found a lipstick mark still on cup . Food
GREAT nachos!! Seasoned, perfectly layed, just great. Enjoyed the Gluten Free Burger and wedges. Dietary restrictions: Good for gluten free. Nice they had a GF pizza crust option.
The food was terrible, way overpriced. The service was okay. Food
Good food nice view
Shout out for Sean - couldn t have had a better experience - great service great personality - almost like family Can t wait to return !!! Food
Stopped at this place on our way back to Toronto from a long day of travel and it was great. The wood fire pizzas and tacos (cauliflower and fish) were both amazing. The cocktails were great and loved their in-house dips with chipotle wrap. The servers were warm. Definitely going back here whenever I m in the town again.
Great food, great service, generous proportions, definitely a 5 star, our server was Zaven who was very good. Will be back for sure. See ya soon folks.
This breakfast was average and the service was great.
Loved the food and the service its the best in town Vegetarian options: Yes they do have lots of vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: They are kids friendly
We ordered drinks and then our mains...I had the fish and chips, my wife ordered a pizza....fish and chips came out first and we were told the pizza would be right out! Waited almost 15 mins for the wood fired pizza (which should take max. 1-2 mins to cook - I know we have a wood pizza oven ). I was over 1/2 finished my meal by time the pizza arrived!! Very poor execution from the kitchen staff!! Got a half hearted apology for the delay from our waitress. Food was ok....execution sub par!
Another great meal last night! Had my fav again, Chipotle Chicken Club wrap with sweet fries/dip so yummy
Always love the mill on main
Great food loved the ribs and pizza
We stop here everytime we go camping to get the autumn pizza, but this time is was a tad disappointing. Lost the pizza and became a flat bread for the same price. Lost some ingredients and toppings too. I dont think well be stopping in as much anymore.
Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian options available. Dietary restrictions: Few vegan and gluten free options also available. Parking: Free parking next to restaurant is very limited. Other free parking is 5 minutes walk from the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: It has kids friendly environment.
Great burgers! Just dont order bruchetta
Visited this place around Sept last and weather was pretty amazing so got to sit on the outside patio area they have! The ambiance is great and food was Yummm . Ordered naan and pita in starter and it was great. Also ordered Margarita pizza which was so so delicious. 10/10 for the food quality and taste. The server was nice too! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Huntsville!
Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and a nice view of the field / pond in the back (if you sit in the back area). Service was very nice, and they were quick with their service. Would recommend this place if you re in the area, and a good filler if this is a stop for you on your way to Algonquin Park!
Great patio with bug fencing! Our server Dawn was a legend. We took down some delicious pizza and bruschetta. Would for sure return!
Loved their pizza and tacos! Service was great with an amazing all season patio overlooking the Muskoka River.
I would rate my experience at this restaurant as very poor due to the unprofessional behavior of one of the servers. The server consistently ignored our table, prioritizing others who arrived after us. Moreover, she used sarcastic language when referring to our pet, calling it an animal. To make matters worse, she left our table with the disrespectful comment, we should not be out here. This level of service and attitude was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable for us as customers.
Wonderful food and service spent our 26th wedding anniversary at this charming little place. The fish tacos and Caesar salad were wonderful as was the pulled pork. Definitely would visit again if ever in the area!
If I could give a zero I would. Worst service ever.
I recently dined at The Mill on Main in Huntsville, Ontario, and the experience was outstanding. I tried the Grilled Chicken Salad and the Wood Fired Chicken Pizza, and Im at a loss for words to describe how delicious they were. The flavors were simply amazing! Not only was the food a delight, but the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience. The place has a great atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. If youre in Huntsville and looking for a fantastic dining experience, The Mill on Main is a must-visit. I cant recommend it enough! #DeliciousFood #GreatAmbiance #TheMillOnMain
We really enjoyed this place. The decorations were unique, from the time of the first settlers, with fragments of their working tools on the walls. The dishes were great! My kids had a mini pizza and mini burger and we (the adults) had a cowboy nursery, spicy pizza and ceizar salad. We loved our dishes. Very recommended!
Fantastic atmosphere and BEST pizza Ive ever had!
Stopped here for lunch after reading on the reviews and they did not disappoint. Food was fantastic. I had the tenders with a ceaser salad. My husband had the soup and sandwich of the day. Staff was polite and professional. We were seated in the heated rooftop patio. Which has a nice view of the river. Will definitely be stopping in again the next time were in town.
Food was tasty and plentiful. The ambience was very historically influenced by the lumberjack times. H. also a lot of decoration with woodworking tools and pictures of the former city. Just a lot of history.
Our server was friendly and outgoing. Service was a tad slow; getting our bill was a slight struggle, but otherwise she was great. Food was amazing. We ordered the maple bacon pizza and Fish and chips which looked fantastic and tasted great. Genuinely excellent. We also ordered half a rack of ribs which were just okay. We found them a bit dry and smothered in sauce. Overall great experience. This place was even recommended to us by a local police officer.
Awesome atmosphere, great floor space, best patio in town overlooking the water. Server was friendly & made the perfect suggestion between 2 things I was stuck on. Will be going back.
Good food. Love their salad and sandwich. Great value!
Must-stop Restaurant Took a day trip from Toronto to Algonquin with a few of my friends so we wanted to eat somewhere that was on the way home. This was definitely worth it! To start off, the town this restaurant is located in is very cute so it was a good precursor to the resto. Overall, food, service, and atmosphere were all good. Service: When we first got there, we were immediately greeted and taken to our seats. Our server had immaculate service - had a warm smile, is easy going, and checks in at good times. Not to mention hes pretty cute! I cant remember his name but he recently also came from Toronto back to the area so please give this man some praise ! Food: Pizza was phenomenal. The wood fired pizzas really give good bite and leave a decadent taste in your mouth. The portions are also good for the price. There are also vegan options as well. Cauliflower Bites - 7/10 : tastes like youd expect them to. Tasty batter and super steamy hot which is a plus. Magic Mushroom - 8/10 : Delicious pizza and perfect for a mushroom lover. Overall well balanced. It has confit garlic, wild mushrooms and pecorino. The Carnivore - 9/10: tastes better with every bite. It has a prosciutto, spicey salami, bacon, mozzarella and pecorino Half rack of ribs w/ sweet potato fries - the fries were definitely good but Im not giving a rating for this because I was too full to accurately judge Atmosphere: Great atmosphere on a Sunday night in November. The place is decorated with local artwork features and tools. I felt comfortable and just had a good time like everyone else! Parking: Free.. I think? We parked at the back of the building. Overall: Would come back. Would recommend!
Great menu offerings for all dietary needs. Fast service and good tasting food!
I went here for the first time this past Saturday with my sister for lunch. It was a really nice little place, friendly service, the food was really good as well. I had the fish tacos which were delicious. Will definitely be back again!
Their food, service and ambiance are all 5/5 stars. One of the best dine in restaurants in Huntsville. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by Steve. He was a polite and professional guy who showed us our table. Our server was amazing. A big shoutout to him for providing the best service on our anniversary. We ordered their flatbed bruschetta which was delicious and then we order their black been burger which was super yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant for a quick bite.
Love this place
If youre not super super hungry, then the pizza is definitely for share :)) PIZZA: smoke fired to give it a smoky flavor and enhance the taste. Some toppings combinations are very interesting and worth to try. Taste of Autuno: super cheesy, and its goat cheese so a bit more stinky than normal pizza cheese. Loads of butternut squash. Very interesting flavor. SERVICE: fast and friendly VIBE: surrounded by glass, view to the small river was meh but lots of natural light.
Food was ok. I had the mac and cheese which wasnt very impressing... But they had live music which was nice, but VERY loud.
