Great meat and three place.

I adore this place. Its been a staple of Huntsville for a long time now and its really not hard to understand why. Simple diner with hospitable service. I usually go for the breakfast, but the lunch is really good too. Get the pot roast if its available and youre there for lunch. Dietary restrictions: Im Celiac and you do need to tell the server to do things like keep the toast separate or itll be served on the same plate. They dont put wheat in things you wouldnt expect it in. They are generally allergy aware and accommodating, but it is not a dedicated gluten free kitchen. I typically risk it.

Reminiscent of old diner charm. Its always busy. Food is fantastic. Peach cobbler and chicken and dumplings are to die for. We travel 45 minutes to go. Totally worth it.

They stop breakfast at 10am. It s a diner isn t that the point of a dinner to serve breakfast all day.

Nicole has a great attitude. This place is hopping so you know the food is great but the servers have great attitudes for being bombarded with customers

Amazing food

Okay so the waitress were rude, and didn t have a friendly attitude did not have a welcoming attitude the dressing is not all that, it s too much chicken in it they probably need to start making it separately and giving people the option to add chicken, because I would order the dressing by itself I tip based on overall experience, and if you be nice to me at the end , when it s time to take my money, and give me change back, guess what, you re not getting a tip from me, because I didn t forget that quick how you and your Conrad s made me feel , from the moment I walked in the door

We love blue plate burger. Its good for extra sensitive stomachs and the kids cups are amazing. My kids are super rough and messy and not a drop spilled.

Straight up local southern diner. If you re from town or work closely with the Industry there, you re guaranteed to see someone you know. Very affordable. Food was solid, better than typical diner food.

Nothing special. Eggs were good and plentiful. Cheese grits were so-so. Service was very good and fast.

My visits have always been great. I usually eat breakfast when visiting Blue Plate Cafe. Service has always been above and beyond. Costs is reasonable. Parking: Parking is alright outside the peak periods. Otherwise, parking may be somewhat difficult.

I got the chicken salad sandwich. It wasnt good at all. Tasted like rotten celery and nothing else. Everything else tasted good though. Service was very good also.

Eat there every time my family member has an appt in Huntsville. Just plan country cooking done right! I usually spend right at $14 for a meal. Parking: Not a chain. Just a regular fella that knows how to hire great cooks and great waitresses! Wheelchair accessibility: Go to the handicap parking spot at the end of the sidewalk. Only about 20 feet or so from the door. My mom and I both are handicapped and we have no problem (unless some idiot blocks the path between the parking spots!) Moms in an electric chair.

5 Stars - one of my favorite cafes in Huntsville. Come for breakfast or dinner and you will leave satisfied! Best value in Huntsville Parking: Parking spaces are tight, and entrance is a little wonky.

Everything is always excellent. Breakfast is always cooked just how I request it. Would recommend this restaurant for some good comfort food.

Service and food great

Great food located near the Huntsville Botanical Garden seemed to be a local favorite very busy classic meat n 3 very good value. Today was chicken and dumplins good portions will try them next time again in the area.

Horrible place to eat. I saw the cooks cooking my food with no gloves. The servers pick up nasty dirty dishes from table. And who knows if they wash their hands. ? And there was REALLY RUDE server. Karsyn I think. She wasn t nice at all. I could hear her from the bar talking badly about other servers. The boss hates his job. And so yelling 24/7. 80 health score. Ran by Mexicans in the back that makes some southern food not taste right. No hate tho on the Hispanic part. I wouldn t recommend. They have mold in drink machines. Servers only care about the tips. And they re told not to talk to the costumers long . And when I hear the boss man yell. I can hear it all the way across the store. Too little. And too hot. And a lot of snobby crew members. I highly wouldn t recommend it. Never anywhere to park. Way too loud in the restaurant. Always homeless people walking in. No control over staff. And kitchen staff hooking up in back bathrooms or In freezers.

Food seemed fresh but was disappointed with the seasoning. Service was great!

The food was delicious. We had chicken and stuffing, and I also had green beans, Brussel sprouts, and cream corn.

It only takes one bad apple to ruin a companys hard work and reputation. This was one of my favorite places to eat, and I recommend it to many others as a place not to miss when visiting Huntsville. After today, I will not be back. My server wasnt the problem. It was the young Spanish lady expoing the food. As I looked over, I saw our food just sitting in the window as she was typing or whatever on her phone. So I asked if that is our food getting cold sitting in the window. As she finally decides to get our food, she is mouthing off as she turns around. This passes me off. I was alright until that moment. Asked for a manager, which was great. The young lady apologized but was not sincere. If youre gonna talk trash in another language, make sure the other person cant understand it. I left immediately before I caused a bigger scene and confronted her. But on my way out, I let the manager know I speak Spanish too. The service here has really gone downhill, and its such a shame.

Enough tasty breakfast food to keep me going for the day from friendly cheerful staff

Reminds you of a 50s diner. The food was really good. The pot roast was moist and tender. The chicken and stuffing was so good my husband did not share.

Southern sweet service

My mom picked up blue plate for me last Thursday after I got out of surgery. The food was ON POINT! The chicken and stuffing tasted amazing. I wanted another helping of the cream of corn and the apple cobbler was perfect to the point that it had me wanting cobbler for the rest of the week. I went to mias cafe to try and fix that craving because blue plate is too car from where I lived and was left disappointed because it didnt come close to blue plate

Recently, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast with family here. Everyones food was very good, the children especially enjoyed their order of Very Berry Pancakes. The coffee was good, the eggs, toast, bacon, and grits ditto, and our server was so warm and friendly we felt right at home. Would definitely recommend for breakfast to anyone looking for a quiet, sit down type of restaurant first thing in the morning.

I was so disappointed based on the reviews and what I really got. The food was not all great. Pancakes were not 100% done throughout and bland. Service was fabulous and building needs some work.

I was thrilled to discover Blue Plate offers gluten free catfish! It is the only place Ive found that does so in years! It was delicious.

We love the food and everyone who works there is very friendly. Our only complaint is there is always at least one large group in the small space that is taking up a lot of tables and it seems that they all come in separate cars, so parking is difficult. Dietary restrictions: Im gluten/diary-free and can eat here, but I think most things contain butter.

Food was cool when brought to our table. Not as good as this place used to be. Probably wont go back again.

A true diner experience with daily Blue plate specials. We were visiting from out of town and my wife had been here before. Food was good, I tried fried okra for the first time and it was good with ranch. I should have got the chicken and dumplings instead of the chicken strips. My reduction in stars to 4 is because the kids meal was only a corn dog for $4.99 no sides. Order a kids burger and you get fries. Plenty of parking and seating.

Love eating at the Blue Plate. It s so southernly delicious . Makes me feel like I m eating at my Grandma s. We live about 35 miles outside of Huntsville, so we make it a point to have lunch there when we are in town. Vegetarian options: Deliciously prepared.

When I complained that the chicken in dressing didnt taste well, the manager became angry with me.It also has cheese in it.Why would you put cheese in chicken and dressing, This restaurant service and quality of food has really went Downhill over the years.And if you have any thing to say about it well , they just get angry,

Got the chicken tenders and chopped steak. Not the best food Ive had from blue plate. The sides were great but the meat nothing special. Frozen chicken tenders and the chopped steak are those frozen patties with the fake grill marks on them. Tenders were good. Chopped steak bland and not to good

This is a great little diner type restaurant, has great breakfast and always offers a meat and veggie plate,changes the selection each day. Other choices on the menu and of course really great burgers with big fat steak fries.

A local favorite located in a Hub zone.

They have the absolute best peach cobbler ! Chicken and dressing is pretty good too, it could use sage but its still pretty great. Its always crowded but take out is always fast. I definitely recommend Blue Plate for that home cooked taste.

Had terrible service tonight. Call restaurant and asked them how to order, so it would be correct. Got our food, was totally messed up. When I called to try to correct it. They were rude and hung up on me. Then refused to answer phone.

Hair was in the dumplings I ordered at dinner tonight. I had to take it to the register and they offered to make me something else. I said no thanks. Had to listen to all the wait staff complain that they make no money and no one tips them after waiting 45 minutes for the food that our waitress had to prepare because there was no kitchen staff present at the time. We ordered 2 meat and three plates and a kids meal. All food was cold and husbands meatloaf was hard as a rock and unable to cut through. We left without eating (obviously) and they discounted our ticket so we did not pay. I appreciate that they at least did not make us pay for the food we could not eat. Would leave no stars if possible. Have been coming monthly since 2015. Will never come again. The past few years service has gone downhill. Did not appreciate hearing wait staff complain given that they could easily work literally anywhere else for more money probably. It is mostly elderly people when we visit and they were very upset about the commentary which also added to our unique dining experience.

Service is always above average and food is great! I m partial to the breakfast but the lunch is also solid with great portion sizes.

Just a heads up, they dont go seamlessly from breakfast to lunch. Came in at 10:40 and they said they wouldnt be ready to serve lunch for another 45 minutes.

This used to be one of the best places to eat in Huntsville. Im sad to say that the quality of food has changed,or maybe they just had a bad day. Either way the food was bland and overcooked.... not good at all. I didnt even eat it!

My husband and I recently ate supper here after I had a medical test done earlier that evening. (We are fairly new to the area, and I had been passing this place at different times of the day for several months, and noticed that the parking lot was ALWAYS PACKED, so I knew we would eventually be eating here. ) We both ABSOLUTELY LOVED our meal of PERFECTLY COOKED pot roast, mashed potatoes with gravy, and green beans. He also got a hot roll, and I had the cornbread, and we both had Sweet tea. The Peach cobbler was THE BOMB, and we both ate all this delicious food for less than $30.00...YOU CANT BEAT THAT, FOR SURE! If you want delicious and affordable food served by friendly folks in a clean and cozy diner atmosphere, stop in to The Blue Plate Cafe...Youll be so glad you did!

I have been dining at Blue Plate for many years and everything about this restaurant is a pleasant experience. The food is reasonably priced and is always consistent, and I have not had better service anywhere else. Highly recommend Blue Plate Cafe!

A modern clean facility but still with a neighborhood feel. Love the diner bar and stools for a lonely lunch. Also great for comfort food breakfast. No loud music! Quiet conversations are possible!

What a great country Cafe for breakfeast or brunch! They have a lot to choose from. Parking (plenty of spaces), however, can be tough due to their location and popularity...so get there early. All the staff is super courteous! A++++ and will return next time Im in town on travel.

My family and I love blue plate! Our favorites are the orange muffins and the cheesy hash browns. Their roast and meatloaf is good as well! The customer service is good and the restaurant has a cozy feel to it.

Always great breakfast food. Awesome option avoiding chains and prefab food. The staff is on the ball and seem to really care which is less than common today. Ive visited regularly for over two years and the quality remains consistent. Parking: Parking extends to the right side of the building.

Really tried to like it but I just couldn t. Okra was cold and the fork wouldn t pierce it without trouble, cabbage had a broth taste and no seasoning other than that and it wasn t a good flavor. Chicken and dressing had no flavor except a taste of old meal, and apple cobbler didn t even get eaten. I may give it another try. Service was excellent, I definitely didn t clean my plate. Got sick when I got home.

Our waiter was a riot. He was funny and exceptional. The food was delicious and there was so much of everything I had to take half of it home for a meal later. I had the 3 cheese omelet, so cheesy! The grits were perfect, hash browns were so crispy, the biscuit was just like my mommas. Id love to tell you the sausage gravy was delicious but my son stole it and poured it over his scrambled eggs!
