Walton's Southern Table in Huntsville

Food was pretty good, we got there at 6 and stayed for about 2hours. My only gripe was no one cleared our plates when we were done eating.

I had to saw through my chicken fried chicken and had no flavor.

Food is great. They treat Dash Door drivers with respect. Do not have to wait long for orders. Service is great when I am a patron. Recommend as a diner and a driver.

Chicken and dressing is great!

Meatloaf was cold and sore were hot. Service was excellent and quick.

Mac and cheese is a joke nasty and the chicken and dumplings had thyme in it horrible that was my first time there and never again the roll was good.

Ordered chicken & dressing and two sides. Sides were in a container but chicken & dressing was wrapped in wax paper which stuck to it and some of the wax paper was in the entree. I would strongly suggest using containers rather than wax paper!! This was at the Huntsville, AL location.

It s kinda pricey, but what s not these days? The chicken and dressing, Okra and Strawberry pretzel salad is the only reason I go. My husband gets the Salmon Patties every single time and loves them. The servers are incredible, super friendly!

I love Walton s table. Love the atmosphere. Everything I have eaten here is so good. Wish they would bring back the pre-Covid 12 hour roast. Only problem I have here, it s very hard to leave here without dessert.

So we were heading somewhere else for a totally different food (greek) but their drive through was .... well either way we ended up pulling into Waltons carside pickup. A young lady walked right up to us before I could even pull up the online ordering with the qr code (which is cool btw), she took our order and we had our lunch in less than 10 minutes. (It might have just been good timing on our part but still) Highly recommend, the service was superior and she was so nice and helpful. I wish I had her name, but it was yesterday (10/2) at lunch. Oh yea, the food was good too.

I was excited about going to eat at Waltons, but once I got there and found out that most of their meals tasted like it was poured out of a can, it was very disappointing. Most of their meals are not handmade and freshly served.

I ordered the Pot Roast....It had to be the driest pot roast Ive ever had in my life...there NOOO WAYYYY it was fresh!!!! The gravy was horrible...I literally ate my sides and corn bread and left the entrée!!!

I enjoy Waltons every time I go. It is like down-home southern cooking with class. The food is always very good and the staff are always top notch. Parking: The restaurant has parking on 3 sides with handicap parking right at the door. Plenty of spaces are available. It does get busy at lunchtime. Kid-friendliness: They have a childrens section on their menu. One of my kids is a picky eater, but he cleaned his plate when I brought him here. They have highchairs (if needed).

WOW! The catfish was wonderful. During lunch we got seated right away, had a super quick server, and within 8 minutes or so our food was served. Everything was really good! The restaurant is such a nice staple for the area. Fabulous!

It was sooo good. I had the chicken quarter (white), hash brown casserole, and FGT. That chicken was so flavorful and moist; I loved it! The hash brown casserole was the best Ive ever had, and the side of FGTs was so good! Service was great and the whole place was really nice. Definitely will be back, and soon I hope!

I wish I would have taken a picture of the food because it was absolutely amazing. If you enjoy Southern home cooking then this is your place. Prices were very reasonable and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be back here myself.

If you like bland for at its finest, then this is the place for you. If you want seasoned veggies then I suggest you go to Gs country kitchen or Betty Maes where they know how to put they feet in it along with some pepper cause this right here, is not it.

Ive only eaten here one time and the food was really good. I ordered the catfish filet plate with two pieces and hush puppies and fries I believe. They service was also great. The restaurant was very clean. All the staff that I had an encounter with was very nice. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Food is always fresh. Its like eating at my Moms house...you leave happy. Good selection of home tastes. Cant go wrong. This last time I was extremely impressed with server.

We had a group of 7 in a Friday at 5. We all had a great meal, except the chicken and dumplings was a little soupy. Could have used more dumplings. The catfish was good. The sides were very generous portions. The fried green tomatoes were a little too salty.

For the third time our meal was disappointing. The food was luke warm, the chicken fried chicken was overdone to the point it had curled up and was hard - as fried fish do The chicken was seasoned with something that made it spicey, though there was no mention of this in the menu. It was too hot to eat. The green beans were bland. The roll was not fresh but probably several days old. Both our meals were similar. Essentially we spent over $20 each for a glass of water and tea. The staff was kind but when it was clear we were not going to be able to eat the food, the dinner should have been comped. Rather we were asked if we wanted something else. Sadly, once we had tasted the meal we did not want another plate of similar quality brought out - and we declined another menu choice. Very disappointed. Will not return and do not recommend.

What an excellent fine dining experience with Sam as our server. He went above and beyond to make our meals to accommodate our pallets as well as be excellent server With great attitude and good table talk manners. Really the food was served up within minutes of ordering. My husband Saint M.R.K-BAR ordered chicken and dressing and I had Kalas kitchen chicken special with green tomatoes on side. plated up and filled us up. Waltons is a classic meat and three restaurant with a charming staff and excellent menu selections. Veggie selections are traditional southern fare including fried okra, greens, Mac and cheese, steamed cabbage, fried green tomatoes and much more. Tasty entrees like Kalas Chicken, baked rosemary chicken, salmon patties and catfish are among my familys favorites. Wheelchair accessibility: Great accommodations for those with wheel chairs.

My husband and I were visiting up from Michigan and we came across this wonderful. Southern boy restaurant, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and again.The food was absolutely delicious, and I must say about our waiter Cody Was absolutely friendly and very attentive, and thank you again for having such wonderful southern hospitality

Id go back for the Strawberry Pretzel Salad, but that being said, my country Fried Steak, was so thin as to render it tasteless save for the gravy flavor. Said steak looked huge but was wafer thin with no meat flavor or texture as a result. That being said, others in our party enjoyed the meatloaf, Pot roast, & rosemary baked chicken.

My husband and I always look forward to our visits at Walton s. The food is always delicious and I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The only complaint I have is that there isn t a location here in Madison, AL.

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR SMALL AMOUNT OF FOOD!!!l I ordered roast beef with 2 sides for $14. For $14, I was extremely disappointed with the very small amount of roast beef I received!!! (I had to find the very small pieces and fish it out of the gray it was in). My friends chicken and dressing also had very little chicken. I left feeling sort-of satisfied, but for the $14 roast beef plate, I should of had left-overs. The food was good, but for the price I paid and for the small amount of roast beef I received, I will NOT be going back.

Loved the resturant, the wait staff-Wow! Cannot say enough good things. My granddaughter got the chicken and dumplings,strawberry pretzel salad and fried okra, it didnt last long as it was that good. I had the salmon croquetes,fried okra, hash brown cassarole(small portion but just enough), and lemon ice box pie. The only thing I would change would be the salmon cakes, it contained bell pepper which gives me stomach upsets. Other than that, Thomas, our waiter was gracious, attentive and took our 1st timers order and answered questions we had. To see the food come out 10 to 15 minutes later was just -- wow! So fast hot food, fast sit down service and a comfy atmosphere --what more could you ask for?

Took my friend for a birthday lunch. So disappointed. Was looking forward to fried green tomatoes. The worst, thin, too much breading, too salty and too spicy. You couldnt even taste the tomato. My country fried steak looked like ground up spam, no taste, and really gross.

This food was not good. I was visiting from Atlanta. The food lacked seasoning. I have no desire to ever return again. The Mac n cheese is not good, the greens had a hint of sweet, and the baked chicken had no flavor. Feel so sorry for people in Alabama if this id the go to place for soul food. Very Luke warm cafeteria food.

Chicken and dumplings have an odd chemical smell and taste, turnip greens were cooked to mush, and was also dissapointed to only get a single cornbread muffin with a to go order as compared to the yeast roll thats almost 3 times the size.

I had the fried catfish and hush puppies. They were fried perfectly. The batter on the fish was light. The hush puppies were crunchy on the outside and soft and pillowy inside. The whole experience was excellent.

Waltons always has fresh, great tasting food. On 4/9 my food was not fresh, the fried green tomatoes were soggy, the chicken and dressing was lacking chicken and the dressing was dry. Understanding it was at 5:30, could have been end of the day whatever was left.

When you want southern comfort food, Waltons has what youre looking for.

Im from Huntsville but now live in Utah. Good Southern food is extremely difficult to find. Even CBs here dont know how to do it. So when visiting Hville Waltons is a must visit, usually multiple times.

Me and my husband came in 30 minutes to closing. I dont normally like to cut it this close because you know people want to go home. They did not rush us at all. They were so nice and the food was excellent. We ended up getting a Togo box. We had been trying to find a good place to eat at for our date night. This might be our regular place now.

I ordered my food to go, and paid with my debit card, my card left my sight, for about 10 minutes. So my card got compromised a few days later. I got 2 pieces fish, pinto beans and spinach. Very disappointed. The fish was very small, and the beans were almost dry. If there is such a kids meal, this was it. The best thing out of this experience was the host @ the front was nice.

Food that is good and hot and with some healthy choices. Servers such as G are friendly and professional and allows us to get in and out quickly with a most satisfying experience.

Price is high for what it is,over $17.00 for 1 person. I got same plate at Cassies for $ 5.00 and actually tasted a little better.

The manager Benjamin G. Was an EXCELLENT manager, and a great person to interact with. There was a small issue with my order, and Benjamin was speedy quick to fix that and had amazing customer service while doing so. This worker does NOT need to leave, and Walton s southern table would not offer the same experience if he did depart. I would highly recommend, and will be back soon!

Hubby and I stopped here as we were passing through. The fried green tomatoes were wonderful. Very flavorful and fried perfectly with crispy outside and tender inside. Service was proper and friendly. Our 2 meals and 4 sides were filling, but were disappointing. The meals lacked salt and were oddly flavored. At not quite 50 yrs old I think we were too young for the intended age demographic here. So if you like dinner between 3 pm and 5:30 pm you might love it here.

I am a very picky eater , and I prefer old style home cooked food and not fast food out of the blue my wife and me found this place around 12:45 pm parking lot was fairly full but seen people coming out so ,got a good parking place on the 1st try, waiting was under a min or two we were seated with in 10 min we got our food ,and boy was it good .. Ill be back and for $36 before tip yall need to stop and try it

We arrived one hour before closing on a Thursday. Server was one of the best in all restaurants we have been in the past year but the food was cold and came so quick that was obviously already done in the kitchen. The fried items were so dark outside that we don t even need to guess they haven t changed the oil for that day (at least). A shame but we are never coming back. There are better places for traditional southern food in Huntsville area.

It was my first trip, and it was delicious. I got the pot roast with fried okra, and it truly is like your grandmother cooked it. Service was great, too.

The curbside pick up is awesome. For the last 1 year, they have been on point each time Ive ordered.

I was having lunch with my Grandmother recently, and she suddenly stopped talking and sank into the booth. I didn t know what was happening, until a waiter by the name of Charles rushed over and started helping me. He got her some coca-cola and a wet rag, and helped calm me down through the process. I couldn t be more thankful that he was working, because I didn t know what to do. He was a Godsend that day, and made sure we enjoyed our meal afterwards. 1,000 stars!

Great place to eat. We have been there several times and have never been disappointed. I believe their fried catfish is the best in Madison county, all the sides are very good. The pot roast is my wife s favorite. Waltons is far and above Cracker Barrel in my opinion.

Being from Texas Southern home food strikes us different I guess(we Retired here). We had Chicken fried chicken, country fried steak , mashed potatoes and white gravy, and with fried okra. Food is definitely pre-cooked, we ordered and within minutes our food was already at the table. I would have expected a made to order service and Fresh HOT meal. This was around 2pm in the afternoon so lunch rush was over and dinner wasnt in sight yet. So I dunno. We wont be going back. Wasnt very pleased or turned on by it at all.

Usually great but the dumplings I got as a side had a very bad metallic / taste and smelled like batteries and usually that is not the case everything else was great but I didn t touch the dumplings again .

The food was alright. Everyone almost cleaned their plates. The service was Great. They worked a few tables together for us and all the staff members helped. Our waitress was the best. Im not sure of her name maybe Katrina. Very high spirits. She was a black woman. Sweet southern hospitality.

I went here with my son and my fiance for dinner the first time. I love the menu and the great affordable prices.The atmosphere is wonderful. It has easily just become my new favorite restaurant. I wasnt sure about the salmon patties so I let my son order them I tried them. I know next time I will be getting them they were so good!!!
