I was given a menu all crusty plus dropped my bacon on the floor and I received my bacon I had finished my plate potato not cooked enough bacon tasted the plate not clean and the bread too much butter really disappointed

Super the food is excellent and the prices are extremely good and low excellent for an evening with friends or a single person courteous and very kind staff

I find it absolutely ridiculous to assign a single waitress who is also in training on a Saturday to having to take care of around ten tables, the boss should be ashamed of such a very disappointing situation!

Sitting for 15 minutes, traffic at a minimum. 2 waitresses who seem totally inattentive to customers. They clear the tables, but they ignore me, it s clear, I have no coffee, no plates. After 15 minutes I leave. Nov 4, 2024. Never again!

Last night I went to the nickel restaurant because I had received coupons for a problem with an order we are three people soihat me my brother and my 14 year old nephew karine the waitress and an employee in training everything started at the beginning for us I I have to go see her to get something to drink. She answers me while shes on her cell phone. Im alone this evening. Afterwards, we order fountain drinks, 1 7up and 2 pepsi. They tell us, we dont have pepsi, ok. were going to take the coca cola product the 2 coca colas were flat at us answering stupidly its normal because its fountain drinks we change for 2 cans of pepsi we order my nephew orders 1 spaghetti pizza pizza peperonie cheese me same thing and my brother the plate of the big meat sandwich smoking to the waitress come see my nephew at the table and tell him the cook its wrong for you all dress do you want it the same my nephew bother say yes after me I resoihat mine my pizza dough and not even cooked I tell him to answer me with a stupid look what do you want me to face I tell him Im not afraid to eat that with a stupid look I politely tell him I Im going to have a meat spaghetti, smoking the spaghetti was full of water in my plate and I would have liked to count how many spaghetti I had, thats for me after my brother resoihat his plate of meat, smoking the coleslaw without any good smoked meat for a jombo he had 6 slices of meat after Carine the waitress arrives with 2 invoices one or to remove the 50$ credit and the other or to show us the real amount that it would have cost without removing the 50 $ she demands a power of 15% she repeated it to me at least 5 times and after my brother and returned to the table she repeated it to him at least 6 times my brother told me no going and to stay at the table time that she did not receive her to drink $15 out of the $100 we are in shock since this situation

Hello, it is with great regret that I decided to stop for a bite, with my wife and my sister at the Nickel de Joliette. this Friday, May 25, 2024 around 3:30 p.m., it all starts when we arrive, I ask the waitress for a table on the shopping center side, she refuses my request, despite the fact that there are only two Busy tables throughout the restaurant. She therefore sends us to the back to explain to us in an annoyed tone, that it is to have a fair ratio of customers per waitress, then when paying the bill with my credit card, seeing that I do not I didnt leave a tip on the card, she always asks me in a cavalier tone, if I would give her her tip in cash. Then thats not all, at the time of departure, while I went through the bathroom , she intimidated my wife and my sister by insisting that she had not gotten her tip. My sister felt obligated to give him something. Great way to build customer loyalty, you wont see me again.

Ridiculous portion, 4 bites and the smoked meat sandwich is finished. Nothing to do with the photo of the menu called La Star. I hope this comment will be positive for the owners, a 15% was deducted from my bill without any opposition, it was obvious to the staff.

I was so shocked at how unsanitary the womens restrooms were. Firstly, it smells like urine as soon as you enter. Seat stained blue because it is so old, the lid seal was frankly disgusting, stained with what looks like poop . Frankly, I am really traumatized by what is hidden behind this restaurant. I make it a point to check the bathroom as soon as I arrive and the time I dont, I find myself faced with this, AFTER eating. Never again. Before leaving, I notice a toilet cleaning sheet . The last time was September 12th like . Its January 3rd. I could easily believe that this is really it. I will never go back there again and I suggest anyone who does go check the bathrooms before ordering. Oh and also, very very slow service . I see that the reviews are quite negative. We went Friday Jan 20 and were served by a stupid looking person. We had purchased gift certificates at a shock discount, being able to buy the number we wanted; we had 3 for $20. There is no limit marked on the certificates. I presented 3. The waitress had a fit telling me that it was one at most. Brought in the manager who resolved the situation. Please get rid of this incompetence

Good morning I give you 3 stars because the waitress who served me today on April 21, 2023 around 10:30 a.m., her name is Diane, she has white blond hair to the shoulders, she was smiling and kind to serve me my lunch when I noticed she had made a small error on my bill and I went to see her to check the error in the price the waitress charged me the price of 11.49 which includes 2 eggs and two choices of meats and I had lunch at 10.79 which includes 1 egg and two choices of meats and the waitress reimbursed me for what I overpaid but I found them colder to me because of this little error and yet I I spoke to her politely and I would like this not to happen again because I know that error is human but it is normal that if the waitress makes a mistake I tell her so that she can correct it without me she be cold with the customer and for the rest I have nothing to add everything was very good and very good and I hope that you will take this message into consideration please thank you.

No one ever came to give us a table. I had to sit down myself, get menus, get a high chair for my daughter, wait 20 minutes before someone came to see us and wait 1 hour before eating. We went on Friday July 21st for dinner. The toilets smelled of urine, we were placed at a table (there were 5 of us) which had no light above us. Went to dinner yesterday August 3rd. Efficient, smiling and courteous waitress. Nothing to complain about the service. My smoked meat was ordered lean, I received it without any apparent fat but the whole thing (the meat) was extremely FAT and the fries were just as greasy. I m 65 years old and this isn t my first smoked meat by the way . I forgot, the meat was sliced too thick and the bread was ridiculously not the height (too small) I know that the slices should not be aligned but there, it looked like smoked meat put together by an apprentice/amateur.

Yesterday around 9:00pm we went to pick up two smoke meats La Star At home, when we opened our meals, the smoke meat was so dry and almost crispy on the edges. The fries were clearly not fresh and reheated. Such poor quality smoke meat can make us sick. We threw it in the trash.

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised to see that Nickels now offered delivery to Joliette and we jumped at the chance to eat a Good Smoked Meat!. Quite a disappointment! The smoked meat was gray and bland. Nothing more to say. When even a potato shack is capable of making better meat, or that from the grocery store is a better choice, you know youve gone wrong somewhere. Pizza, same story. Comparable to a cafeteria pizza. Inferior quality ingredients, it tasted like plastic. We paid a total of $80 for 2 sandwiches and 1 pizza. It was the first and last time we ordered there. Nickels, you really missed your Great Comeback in my opinion.

EXCESSIVE SERVICE AND FOOD! First, the server took 15 minutes to seat us. He passed by us and looked at us, without assigning us a place even though there was room everywhere! Then we sat down. The waitress took a good 25 minutes to come see us (note that it was NOT a rush) When she finally came to see us, she approached and without saying hello, she took her pad and pencil and stupidly said to us: Okay, what do you want to take? The waitress NEVER brought us water throughout the meal. We ordered our meals with the table dhôte, only to be told later that there were none with Covid. On the other hand, they had already brought us our Caesar salad as a starter. Instead of $5.55 for the non-existent table dhôte (starter, dessert and coffee), their mistake, they charged us $19 for the 2 salads. Salads that we had 30 minutes after ordering our lunch. Salad that was also hot and not fresh! I asked for drinks for my family. You will have guessed that it happened very late. The waitress arrives for them with a spagetthi childrens meal and another pizza childrens meal, even though we had specified 3 times that the two were each having an adult pizza-getthi meal. My partner ordered a ground fillet. His plate arrived with dry rice, his 2 fillets of ground over cooked and all broken on his plate. His vegetables were not cooked enough. When it got there, it wasnt even al dente, it was just not cooked! The 2 pizzas, the cheese wasnt even melted on them... I would like to believe that the waitress was new there...Usually I am very understanding and I dont say anything. But when its stupid like she was and being treated like you were, that doesnt work! This is unacceptable! The food was really delicious and the service was terrible. All this with a $100 bill. Ehhh, I wish the manager or owner of the restaurant had enough humility to reimburse us for our rather unpleasant experience! In short, I will never return to this restaurant and I do not recommend it to ANYONE!!! I never saw that!

My chicken skewer was not fresh and the accompanying salad was out of date. My girlfriend asked for dessert, most of the dessert menu was not available. She had to settle for a brownie that was still partially frozen. Very disappointed with the experience...We will go elsewhere next time.

Well located place because it is easy to find. The daily specials are clearly indicated in both entrances by large signs. The choices are diverse but some are similar to frozen meals that you can make yourself at home. The atmosphere is warm and the areas are also well maintained to maintain cleanliness. The waitresses are attentive on the other hand, some of them seem so overwhelmed that they are on alert; but the table service is undeniably fast.
