Hôtel Château Joliette in Joliette

We held the agencys Christmas event at the Château and we were very satisfied with the service received. The staff was very courteous. Angélique was of great help in planning our visit. THANKS!

Place that I have always appreciated with the receptions with my employer. The employees are very courteous and friendly. Unfortunately the heating system in the rooms is a heat pump which obviously makes noise. Depending on the floor and orientation of your room you could have a very beautiful view of the LAssomption River or the air conditioning system on the roof in front of you. Breakfast is excellent with large windows overlooking the river.

Everything was amazing, service, location and the room. The only downside is that I find that the mattresses are too firm, I woke up with back pain.

The rooms really smell of humidity, but its really intense and unpleasant. It kept us from sleeping. The ventilation is very strong and also prevents you from sleeping. In addition, it was either very hot or very cold even if we adjusted the temperature. The beds and pillows are not comfortable. The pillows are very small and hard. In addition, the table service during dinner was very average and cold.

This is not my first time at Château Joliette but this time I rented a reception room for a 60th birthday. I was very satisfied, everything was more than perfect, the service, the food was excellent. Mélissa Corriveau the events coordinator is very nice. Certainly it has to be done again.

I had a reservation made through Expedia and I suffered a concussion causing nausea and severe headaches preventing me from taking the road. I contacted expedia to cancel my reservation. They were very understanding and tried to contact the hotel manager to cancel my reservation free of charge, which he refused. Im someone who goes to a hotel several times a month for work and Im very familiar with the cancellation policies. I am aware that asking to cancel the same day (in the morning) would have been an exception to this policy, however, when it comes to health concerns, I would have expected some flexibility. Above all, I would have postponed my visit to their hotel. So they charged me the full price of the stay. They lost a repeat customer in order to *save* a cancellation.

Celebration dinner 50th birthdays of two people, really unlucky, rusty Caesar salad, 2nd pitcher of sangria with nothing in it, uncooked chicken (he offered me the main course), and cold alcoholic coffee, asked for a fries which I got never received, incredibly dissatisfied

Superb hotel

We slept in a suite with windows overlooking the parking lot. What a disappointment when we entered the room and smelled the damp. The furniture is very old (creaking couch with soft springs, old carpet that accumulates humidity, etc.). The staff are not particularly welcoming and we felt like they were bothering us when we went to ask certain questions. Also note that there is no lunch at the hotel on Saturdays. We also ordered dinner from the hotel restaurant. It wasnt that bad, but not good enough for the price. We had a burger (fairly ordinary), the fries were good. My partner also had a soup which was very good. Fortunately, the hotel is well located, close to the main attractions in Joliette and on the banks of the river.

I possibly wanted to have my wedding there, but the answers take so long to get. When I was finally able to get an appointment, they made a mistake and scheduled several people for the same time. I was asked to come back another time (1h30 drive round trip) or to wait. I decided to wait, but after 1 hour with no news, I simply left. They contacted me again and apologized for the error made by the employee. They seem to want to get their act together and are in good faith. So Im going to give them a second chance since I had good comments about the service and the place for weddings.

I didnt stay in the rooms when I went there since it was for a conference. That being said, in my opinion, it is the only place to stay in Joliette that has class. I recommend.

2nd year update: Good location and clean room and are all modern. A little disappointed that continental breakfast was not offered with the room. Its a minimum. I am disappointed that the hotel does not provide what is necessary for the number of people and the length of stay. Like towels, coffee etc. We have to ask for it each time in the end we forget and do without it... Small point for television which offers a ton of free applications but which you cannot take advantage of without an access code. A single small elevator and much coveted by customers and staff, we later learned that a stairwell was accessible upon request. The other is best reserved for emergencies. Otherwise very welcoming and smiling staff. Comfortable room and access to regulate the heating or air conditioning in the room. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The room was very cold and impossible to adjust the air conditioning. I slept in a sweater and socks in the middle of July. Also, we had booked 2 months in advance at 202CAN and when we arrived we saw that the price was 142CAN. Thats still a big gap. Plus we had a room with a view of the parking lot. So really not great. Finally, we went down to have a cocktail at the bar (there was music), and there really wasnt much alcohol. It was almost lemonade. So we were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel.

A hotel of this size, with conference rooms, but no gym?! Disappointing. The staff is nevertheless very attentive.

So overpriced for what it is. I sleep at Château Joliette out of obligation because there is nothing else around and every time I cant believe the exorbitant price they ask. It is a clean and functional establishment but to call it a castle and charge a castle price is exaggerated.

We went to a conference, so we had dinner at the restaurant bar, the price was very high, the quantities very insufficient and we received lukewarm plates, for the chicken about 1/4 breast and the rest, I had to have a squash puree, there must have been about a tablespoon, 1 hour after dinner I was still hungry. I am very disappointed with my meal. In fine dining restaurants, there is a lot more and it is hot.

We stayed here one night, needed to book something on our way home from a nearby spa since the weather was bad. The room served its purpose. I wouldn t call this place a Chateau, since it was a pretty basic hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar were closed when we stayed here, therefore we couldn t experience any meals. Our room was a renovated room on the 4th floor with a view of a lake and falls. The hotel was well kept and quiet, room was spacious, had an empty minibar and Nespresso machine. Cable television (no Netflix) and I m not sure about wifi, we weren t given any info on wifi. I liked that the floors were wood, and not carpeting, and they had shampoo/body wash dispensers in the shower.

Extremely disappointing suite, poorly and sparsely furnished and had patio chairs at table. Room in serious need of renovation, dark paint with chips and gouges in wall. Likely one of the most unappealing hotels rooms I have ever booked. Billed in US funds and not a good value. Charged for extra coffee pods in room, no room service for a two night stay. In the hallway on 4th floor there is a microwave on a table for use by all rooms - odd. No niceties in the room, only one make up remover and one shower cap. not enough towels. You have to pay for any thing you need at the vending machine. Very noisy at night with a fan or something on the roof starting up multiple times and making some kind or whining noise. No breakfast available on a Saturday morning, no free coffee after 10am in lobby but when I was there is was alway empty or no cream, cups etc. Most of staff at front desk not friendly but maybe because I do not speak French they were not comfortable in English? We left several items in the room by mistake, after leaving a message then an email we finally got a call back - items had not been turned in to lost and found per front desk and my call transferred to the person who cleaned my room which was odd - she did not speak English and disconnected me instead of transferring to front desk again - emailed again but not much hope I will get my items. Breakfast expensive but good, location good. Definitely not a Chateau, very basic accommodation. Would not recommend.

Well located and beautiful hotel, the rooms are clean. Only fault I found is the food. Its edible but its not fine cuisine, lets say. I still recommend it! Walkability: The entrance is directly on the first floor and there is an elevator for walking around the floors.

Its okay, fair pricing but you can find a airbnb that will offer more privacy, better access to the restaurants - the one in the hotel doesn t take foods upstairs and its not that good and not eco friendly food wrapping/packaging, no fork or knife either. Their conference room was used for proms and its not designed for 200 teens in a lobby, the parking was full and no one was looking at the paying clientele for a spot closer to the entrance, had to park two corners away the first night and did not want to lose my spot the second night, so I stayed in or at walking distance. Rooms: I appreciated the fridge in my suite, but the blinds were not closing fully and the sub was direct for all day Got hot in the room and the AC was noisy at times. Be advised about the standing shower cabins; I would have appreciate a bath tub option. Its pretty, clean, but the pillows are small and thins. The nespresso machine did not work. Nearby activities: Walking, bike path, paddleboard access 2 min away (with pump, washrooms, wifi in the park, kid playground, picnic tables) I saw a swimming pool 5 minutes away on foot, a gym-park for adults, and a volleyball spot (sand). Walkability: Nice bike path and pretty park along the river next to the hotel. Have a map tho, it could be confusing for some. Food and drinks: There is a restaurant pub style inside, drinks are okay, food is not great for diner but okay for lunch on a patio.

Beautiful hotel in Joliette, well located. The renovations are recent, the hotel offers beautiful, spacious and modern rooms. The hotel is very clean. Since the restaurant is not open every day due to traffic, I believe the hotel could offer something like a continental breakfast (eg muffins) ready to go, in addition to the coffee available on site. This would be a nice touch for customers, and would save us having to take the car to get lunch. The only less positive note is that the check-in process is a bit long, we almost did a survey to confirm the corporate rate that I usually benefit from.

Everything is closed on Monday. The restaurant; no way to have dinner, and the bar, therefore nothing to do and no way to enjoy the terrace by the water either. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are OK, nothing more. Very quiet. Nice bathroom. Super nice receptionist.

The site is truly enchanting, but it would be even more appreciated if there was a room fully adapted to accommodate people with reduced mobility and to have a more up-to-date suite. We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and did their best to accommodate us, especially Chantale. Our parents, aged 80 and 84, have reduced mobility. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to their home (30 minutes), its enchanting setting and its ability to meet their desire to celebrate a small wedding and enjoy a short stay. Our complaint is with the accommodation which only offers one room for guests with reduced mobility, requiring the assistance of a person strong enough to lift the person to go to the toilet or take a bath, we were told. For elderly couples who cannot lift each other up, this presents a challenge. They are forced to give up these amenities, opt for another hotel (which was almost our initial choice) or find other solutions. Why not add grab bars to the toilet and install an accessible shower with a grab bar and bench, to complement the disabled rooms? The sofa bed in the suite was really uncomfortable, which is unfortunate. We encourage you to test it to understand, and perhaps consider replacing it to reflect the quality of your establishment. Additionally, the espresso machine deserves special attention. I have the exact same one at home, and despite my best efforts, I have never been able to get coffee (I had to borrow capsules from my mothers room). A little more attention to these details might help you get higher marks, probably a 4 or 5.

A great hotel, its nice to no longer have a carpet on the floor, the room is really large, comfortable, spacious and the bathroom is very generous in size in terms of space and comfort. I will just change the shower head for a portable one, but otherwise well done and thank you for this quality.

From the outside, the hotel may seem modest but when you spend the night there, you have a very relaxing experience and one that is very good in terms of quality/price. My partner and I were able to relax in this beautiful hotel room.

A very beautiful and special hotel is located very close to a river - a green view and flowing water from the hotel window. A very large and spacious room on the 3rd floor of the hotel. Comfortable beds and a spacious and pleasant shower. A very tasty breakfast that includes eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausages. In addition, there are 2 different types of cheese and pastries. fresh bread. and the view to the river.

Very nice hotel! Comfortable and pleasant room! However, it was impossible for us to have dinner at the restaurant or have breakfast. It was not mentioned that there would be a possibility that the restaurant would be closed when booking. We were staying for just one night to rest on the long drive and were mainly attracted by the restaurant. We had to turn to the citys restaurants, which for their part did not meet our expectations. The cost of the room was not reduced by the lack of amenities.

The site on the banks of the LAssomption River is magnificent and what can we say about the excellent service and support throughout the organization of this day. The professionalism and availability of the coordinator, Valérie, was greatly appreciated. Thank you to the entire Château Joliette team for helping to make this day a special moment. All the guests are unanimous in saying that we had outstanding service. I recommend this place for organizing your events.

We got married at this hotel and loved the experience. The coordinator was always there to answer our questions and also helped us with a few covid-related glitches along the way. Very bad services. We had reserved 4 rooms, two were canceled without any notice.

I got married in 2019 at this place and everything was perfect. I recommend this venue and the staff was quick, efficient and their recommendations for DJ choices, and Celebrant was just perfect.

The staff takes great care of us. The place is beautifully located and the food is extraordinary. Its always a pleasure to go back there. My wedding in FDS was perfect thanks to them. Thanks to the whole team

Overall the customer experience was excellent. The customer service was exceptional. On the other hand, after a small heating problem in one room, we were relocated to a signature room, a sign of very good customer service. The signature room had no electrical outlets near the desk. In fact, I didnt really understand why it was a signature room... oh yes, it had a view of the river.

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Joliette. Walking distance to the Gallerie Joliette, which is a mall. The hotels Table G restaurant is fabulous. If you know basic greetings in French, it goes a long way. Post pandemic, the hotel is short staffed and so patience is needed. The room has a fridge and nespresso machine. We had a gorgeous view of the Assomprion River. Would recommend

I would say the only negatives were that the bathtub was clogged and needed a new bottom as it didnt look inviting to take a bath in at all. Also I brought my own food and the microwave was really dirty, not their fault, probably a customer who put food in and it exploded. . . The housekeeper Lorraine did a total clean and was so pleasant to talk to. My disappointment was that if you call your business a Chateau, a pool and spa, and breakfast (at least be an option with a cost, but there was nothing) should be included. . . at least one place to get a massage in the hotel, and I find that the bar closes at 11 p.m. its a little too early, so after that you have no choice but to go back to your room or watch the wall. The bartender was extremely nice and this Martini Sour was so good and she gave me the recipe! I always recommend the stay, but not for the entertainment at the hotel which is non-existent. The walk outside in the evening along the Lanaudière River was nice, and I went to downtown Joliette, full of funny business names, and its worth going around on a Friday evening, its very lively. Another constructive comment, when asking the staff what to do around the hotel, they were all from outside and were not at all knowledgeable, however on Saturday I was going for a hike, and the receptionist told me talked about the bull falls in St-Côme, its an hours drive, lasted 3 hours, I loved every moment.
