No good service, none of them did respond well. It was a pathetic experience.
Although the service was good, the food was really amateurish. It was really disappointing as I had great hope. The chicken Tikka masala was not marinated and grilled in a tandoor before it was put in a sauce which was so thin and bland, the aloo gobi tasted as though it had been boiled and then sprinkled with spices, the sag paneer wich should be pieces of Indian cheeses cooked in spinach lacked of spinach... I guess that if you want real Indian food, you still need to go to Montreal.
I was a bit unsure at first, but I was gladly suprised !! The services ; Amazing !! The food ; scrumptious !! The ambience; I’ve travelled through indian culture !!
Had a wonderful supper. We are glad our friend Paul introduced and treated us at this wonderful Indian Cuisine restaurant! We even participated in wishing a fellow diner happy birthday with an Traditional Indian birthday song! Great atmosphere and courteous service 👍
I’m utterly amazed and beyond satisfied with this establishment. Every aspect, from the exceptional staff to the delectable cuisine, and the captivating atmosphere, is simply outstanding. I highly recommend making a beeline to this location; it’s an experience you’ll undoubtedly cherish. A special shoutout to Chantal for her remarkable service!
Great food, friendly service :) Incredible atmosphere!
I used to work in a few indian restaurants in British Columbia and I love Indian food. The portion of the plates was way too small for the price. The food in their menu is overpriced even naan bread and rice. I ordered butter shrimp and chicken korma, they tasted almost the same and too sweet. I felt like I was eating desserts, not a meal. Although the owner and server were very friendly and welcoming, I won't go back.
Really amazing food and experience ! We went for a family dinner and we enjoyed it, we took a meal for 3 people and we had plenty of food ! Let’s go and let yourself be immersed in an authentic experience !!
Impeccable service, exquisite cuisine.
Delicious, good service I loved it
Their butter shrimp is out of this world, one of the best things available on their menu! A must try if you like shrimp! Their Naan bread is delicious and fresh! Bin better than that buy yen is really worth it! Edit: we finally changed their delivery dish, it flows much less so I increased my rating.
Always so good and comforting. In a decor and an atmosphere that makes us forget that we are in Quebec. The service is warm and impeccable. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes are in the spotlight. My favorite starter: Pakora, accompanied by mint sauce.
Great discovery The dish with goat cheese and sweet sauce was a revelation Delicious Excellent service, the evening was very pleasant Perhaps traditional music reflecting this magnificent cuisine would have been the only addition to complete the experience Thank you very much, we will come back
Good meal, but the service too long...
Always excellent, impeccable service and always a pleasure to see Sami and Abdul
Delicious and exceptional service! I recommend
superb great discovery first time we ate Indian and wow!! I recommend 100%!!
I love this restaurant! The cool weather returns at the same time as my desire to eat Indian dishes! So friendly staff and delicious food. To try without hesitation!
What a disappointment! I dont understand where the good reviews come from. Butter chicken: Not marinated, butter (or margarine) taste too pronounced. Chicken Madras: Correct sauce, but unmarinated chicken, so the flavor is not there. Rice: How can you miss this? Yes, strange taste, no idea how it s possible, maybe Joliette water which has too much chlorine ??! Naan bread and onion bhaji: OK, nothing more. Any Indian restaurant in Montreal is better than this. I wanted to find an Indian restaurant because Im in Lanaudière, but clearly its not this one. Those who give 5 stars... either you were lucky the day you went there, or you havent really tried a very good Indian restaurant!
Worst Indian food restaurant Really dont waste your time and money The employees dont speak, they scream Very very bad experience The food is not fresh and the food is cold and probably reheated from the day before
I loved my experience!
Great discovery! We went there to order for a group of 5 people (take-out order) Impeccable service and dish well packaged for transport. Everything was hot. To highlight, the kindness (and patience) of the chef and his team in helping us with choices and quantities. The meal was excellent, the spices were there! In everyones opinion, an experience to repeat! THANKS
Everything lived up to our expectations. Different flavors and just really spicy. Very generous portions. The service was impeccable and the owners are so charming and attentive to the customers.
Truly delicious! Great atmosphere, nice and helpful waiter! The food is successful! Good quality but quite small portions
Everything is wow!!
We loved our evening, Sami the owner is very friendly and generous. He adapts very easily to his customers and will do everything to ensure that you have a good time in his restaurant. His team is very friendly, the decor is splendid, the variety of dishes is interesting in color and flavor. An unforgettable experience!!
I recommend, it s very good!
Extraordinary service with the owner Sami. Sami a very generous man and very attentive to his customers. We ate very well. everything was very delicious. We were well accompanied by Julie Bertrand, Stéphane Tellier, Claude Tellier and Nancy Jacob
The service was truly perfect!
Friendly room service but tasteless and tasteless food; unrelated to good quality Indian cuisine
good food
Tasteless, looks like it came from the freezer, diluted butter sauce. It tasted old. Dessert is completely different brownies with mango lassi. Nothing to do with the other Indian restaurants that we have tasted!!
Excellent cuisine and exceptional attentive service! Always a pleasure to discover flavors in a beautiful atmosphere.
Pretty ordinary taste Very small portion Fairly high price
Really disappointed with the food.. no flavor, butter chicken sauce seemed to be diluted.. it was watery. When we compare this restaurant with those in Montreal, there is no comparison..
Is this really an Indian restaurant? We ordered butter chicken and what a surprise when we tasted it, it tasted like cheese sauce!! They should go to a real Indian restaurant because all the dishes we ordered were really not good. It all ended up in the trash.
Excellent restaurant, impeccable service and incredible food, a must in Joliette!
Excellent thank you Sammy great evening
Excellent service with Sami
Sammy the best
It was perfect, really Sammy is so nice and super funny. We had a lot of fun!
Good Indian food. Very pleasant service.
Delicious!! Excellent service! Very nice discovery!
Incredible diversity of flavors, super friendly service, really nice place. It feels like youre traveling!
Delicious food, excellent service and very friendly owners. Definitely a must in Joliette for a great evening. I recommend it to everyone!
Very good, fast service and super good service.
Very warm welcome from all the staff, we were so well served. We came 25 minutes before closing and they still made us a 4-course dinner, absolutely delicious, fresh and full of good flavors. I definitely recommend this place if you want to have a cute date in good company Thank you so much !
A little tacky restaurant, very friendly waiter (buddy-buddy style), the food is okay but a little expensive value for money. The evening we went there it was cash only, but we were informed after the meal (not very strong).
Excellent food
Relaxing atmosphere, really friendly service, and the food is great. Highly recommend!
savored shales of Indian cuisine, well cooked, well served and well attended, the place is very beautiful
I loved it and Im going to go back for sure
Truly the best restaurant with the best ambiance! Sammy excellent service thank you
Really excellent restaurant, bring your own wine, full of flavors, great service!!!
Great service, great meal, an experience not to be missed. Thanks again to Sami for this great evening Dont hesitate to book to spend an evening with friends!
Great service and atmosphere the food is excellent
Great evening, went for a walk!
Good Indian cuisine. The rice is well seasoned. Super friendly service. In terms of the atmosphere, its not the restaurateurs fault but I really wasnt able to hear the girl anymore if side that was not able to close it 1 mins. But its not the restaurateurs fault!
I went there with my partner for Valentines Day, what a lovely atmosphere and excellent service with lovely smiles, I would like to add a special thank you to the owner who was at the checkout
Good service, good food!
We frequently go to this favorite restaurant. Being vegetarians, we have several really delicious options. The servers are always very warm and really friendly. Plus, I find the costs reasonable for BYOB!
I ordered butter chicken and the sauce was very disappointing. Closer to soup than sauce
One of my favourite Indian restaurants
The decor of the restaurant is splendid and the staff are really attentive. I loved my experience and what I ate!
I hate this place. The smell made me want to puke.
Very good service and the food is really good. Bringing your own wine is also a good plus. I highly recommend you!
Very nice restaurant and nice atmosphere, its like taking a trip. Average service, French is required in Quebec, but the employees are smiling and dedicated. Tasty and spicy dishes. If your server tells you not to have the chicken curry, listen to him! I was kindly brought another dish, chicken achari, which was excellent and at no extra cost. My partners dessert was very ordinary, it looked like a bowl of melted strawberry ice cream with floating coconut...
We went for the first time this evening and everything was perfect! The owner Sammy is really very welcoming, friendly and speaks French really well. The dishes are not spicy like everywhere else, they have adapted to the population of Joliette... and the decoration is super beautiful.. a 5 star The chicken tika masala was succulent and so was the butter chicken
Nice place. We were greeted with little enthusiasm and seated near the cold gantry! (because we hadnt booked (for a Friday at 5:30 p.m.) Its a shame that we didnt have any information or explanations about the menu. My 2 friends ordered the same dish, disappointment! I I had a yellow lentil soup, a butter chicken, with rice and nahn bread. It was good. I would have to try it again because for the moment I still have a bitter taste from my experience! Also !)
I love this restaurant! We feel at home during our visits while being transported to India to taste their good dish prepared, with us, full of love! What can we say about the charming staff, Sami, Jean-pierre Tremblay hehe all smiling and caring people!! Thank you for making us feel like guests every time we come to your restaurant!
Such a warm welcome from the owners. The colors and atmosphere of the restaurant transport us like we are on a trip, we loved it!!! We ate very well!!!
I just went to get some supper to bring What a professional and very friendly service I chose the meal À and F We enjoyed this extremely tasty food, thank you very much
The food is impeccable and the service impeccable. Both times I have been there I have been very impressed.
Super good restaurant. The owners are very friendly. The food is excellent.
2nd time that me and my lover ate Indian dishes and it was really a delight compared to the first time in another restaurant. Flavors that we could never reproduce at home ourselves. A great discovery, we will definitely return!
First time in this warm decor carefully decorated with bright and dynamic colors! It was a wonderful discovery with attentive and friendly people with whom it was good to talk and laugh. The owner Abdul (Jean-Guy Tremblay by his adopted Quebec name ) and his attentive and open wife Chantal delighted us with the spicy and delicious Indian flavors. Our server Samy took care of us and charmed us with his authentic and funny presence!). A place to discover and share with our family and friends. Thank you for this wonderful evening! See you soon
First experience this evening. Really delighted. The decor, the welcome. We tried the tandori shrimp. I packed the cilantro, but everything was delicious. Delicious cheese nan bread. We will return for sure. Parking: We arrived at 4:30 p.m. and got a nice parking spot.
Excellent food, exceptional service!
We had the opportunity to be there last night and the atmosphere was incredible! It must be said that a group of rather colorful girls were present and I never thought I would start dancing to Indian, Greek, Spanish or American music, all in an Ali Baba style restaurant!! The food was excellent. However, you shouldnt be in a hurry, service-wise, but the staff are really friendly and they contributed to the atmosphere by dancing with the customers. Go there to celebrate a birthday or for your bachorellette party, you wont regret it!
Thats twice, Im not going back again. Flavorless butter chicken, boiled lentil soup, chicken and lamb curry that doesnt taste like curry, Indian soup too spicy, cutlery put on the tables haphazardly, waiter once nice, the other Sometimes impatient, table reserved in a specific place given to another group. In short, having tasted Indian dishes in several places, this one does a poor job. Dont get me wrong, even if the restaurant is full, it doesnt mean anything. This is my opinion and I share it.
Great service, excellent food and very friendly and smiling owner :)
Everything was excellent, from the service to the food! Have a nice evening !
We went there on Valentines Day it was packed the food was incredible the decor was splendid but the service was slow yes yes it was Valentines Day I would go back there on a normal evening to see the difference and an explanation dishes brought would be a plus for your wonderful restaurant
A charming restaurant serving Indian cuisine, well prepared, excellent value for money, personalized and courteous service, atmospheric decor, in short, when you like spices, curry and naan bread, its a pleasure for the taste buds.
Very good, friendly, nice atmosphere
Delicious !!!!!
Super service !!
Had lamb curry and lamb Tindaloo (very spicy), both really flavorful and exceeded my expectations. Its a little pricey, but still better than what I can find in Repentigny.
Fast service, excellent welcome, great drink. The only downside is the waiter who doesnt speak French...
Very good! It was a little different than usual. But very good! Thank you very much
This is a fairly nice restaurant. The multiple servers make us feel welcome and the place is well maintained. The food was wonderful, and the value for money was very good. I plan to come back.
The lamb dish was actually beef, the butter chicken chicken was white, was not cooked in the sauce which was liquid like broth and the dessert was cubes of dry bread soaked in milk or some indefinable juice , tasteless The Nan bread (1 for 2 people) was not cooked on a tandoori so it was very flat like a pita... all for $85, its better to travel to Montreal to eat Indian...
Excellent, good value for money, cheerful and friendly staff, I recommend it, thank you
Excellent Indian food and personalized service in joliette.
I am Indian and i went their 2nd time as 1st time it was good food but 2nd time was on sunday and it was crowded due to mothers day. Food was bad, like real bad- butter chicken curry was watery and tasteless. Naan was not cooked and owner pushed us in the corner side as he wanted to reserve roadside seats for latecomers. on top he added Gulab Jamun to our bill which we never ordered and had it so we ask him to remove it and he didnt even said sorry , kind of cheating mentality as mostly people dont watch so lets charge them. i am never going again and also just so that you know , its Bangldeshi , not Indian food. Expensive so better dont get carried away by paid reviews.
First time for both of us, what can I say about the service, really excellent we were given great advice, I ll definitely be going back
Excellent food, excellent service, very friendly. We highly recommend!
Honestly, the food is delicious! Very tasty! As soon as you enter you smell the spices that are present in Indian cuisine! The staff is very welcoming and friendly! I loved discovering this place and I will return! Try the chicken korma, it s delicious!
Wow, I will definitely go back. very nice atmosphere, courteous service, more than excellent food, very surprised by the flavors. Value for money, nothing really to complain about.
Everything was very delicious and fresh
The duck is tender to death; the Special Tandoori Bharrati gives good combinations of meats available, excellent food, friendly staff
very good restaurant my steps for dessert Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
With 7 friends. Excellent tasting menu.
In my top 10 of my favorite Indian restaurants apart from the naan breads in small quantity for the price (at least put two for the price (no complaints personal more than nice and very clean 5 stars more than deserved.
First time for us. EXCELLENT service, excellent meal. Owner very accommodating with menus. We needed him to choose. We were a group of 8 and we all enjoyed our meal. And, very affordable prices. I recommend
Excellent service!!! Excellent meals!!!
The food is excellent. The Indian decor borders on kitsch and not necessary to eat excellent Indian food.
This is my favorite restaurant in Joliette. The decor, the Indian music, the service, the food, everything is excellent. THANKS Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable options for vegetarians
Excellent service from Sami,
Delicious food, courteous and funny service. Only the background music is distracting, it could be more subdued.
Excellent place for Indian cuisine Friendly owner Food
The service and food were greatrrrrrr. I ordered the Lamb Tikka (tandoori) Very friendly service and great food. I ordered the tikka lamb (tandoori).
Nice decor, the food is good... Without being extraordinary.
A more than successful birthday party. The restaurant welcomed us with extraordinary friendliness. The incredibly kind and funny staff, we had the time of our lives. And what about the food, more than delicious. I rarely make comments, but here I had no choice but to give my 5 stars. I will remember my 52 years for a long time. Special thanks Sammy. Vegetarian options: It goes without saying with Indian cuisine
Authentic cuisine
The owners ensure that our meal is not only delicious, but also memorable. Sammy and Abdul, well done
Indian food at its best!!! We are lucky to have it in Joliette What a welcome from the owner and employees
Delicious dishes, outstanding service! We feel at home thanks to Chantal and Sammy who treat their customers like f amille!
Beautiful atmosphere, very welcoming owners, excellent meal. We had a pleasant evening!
An incredible moment in an atypical setting. The decoration is as good as the kitchen.
Wow!!! My favorite restaurant! Too bad I dont live near Joliette. Every time I go around we have to go to Bharati. Everything is perfect from the service, to the quality of the ingredients to the flavors which are just incomparable.
The experience is incredible, very warm server
I have eaten in many Indian restaurants from Montreal to Paris and it is here that I have tasted the best dishes. Excellent
Arriving at the opening (evening) no shot, we were extremely disappointed both by a summer service, yet 4 servers...and by the portions assortment of hors doeuvres for two, an item of 4 choices to share ourselves, or minis appetizers, main dishes, butter chicken and cheese lamb! Little Quebec cheddar? as for portions, more onion than meat
Very good tasty food and excellent service. The staff is very kind and smiling.
Amazing Indian food We met the friendly owner who let us taste the restaurants specialties
Nice atmosphere, good service but the shrimp and lamb are way overcooked, it was tough and its expensive for whats on the plate
The food was excellent and the servers super friendly. We will definitely go back!
A superb culinary experience! Owners and employees with impeccable service. Everything is excellent I recommend to everyone Romeo & Juliet
Delicious food. For those who think Indian food is too spicy, no danger here.
We just has veg pakora and chai here. The pakora was good. Chai was weird as it isnt an authentic Indian restaurant (seems like its more of Bangla or something). Felt cliche that the decorations were so typical with too much of Elephants and Taj mahal. I bet India is much more than just Taj and Elephants! Service was good and people were nice. There were mostly no vegetarian options, could include paneer dishes for vegetarian.
I loved the service and the food Very very good Ill come back for sure
Incredibly delicious meal, outstanding service, my partner and I loved it, it was our first time but definitely not our last, more than friendly staff. Im giving five stars because I cant give more!
Great discovery, WOW! I will definitely make it my favorite restaurant, EVERYTHING was perfect, the welcome, the service, a varied menu, well recommended by the owner. I give it 5 stars, but I would have given more!! See you soon !! Jocelyn From St-Hyacinthe
Order to take away! It was really delicious! It made me relive my experience of India THANKS Vegetarian options: The vegetables in the combo are very good! Typically Indian
Charming Indian restaurant which offers the spicy and rich flavors of this distant land. Friendly staff, a gem in the heart of Joliette in the busy Old Joliette district. Price a little expensive but in terms of the quality you will not be disappointed.
The dishes are delicious, try the saag paneer and the lamb corma and butter chicken. The team who works there are funny and very kind! Great service!
Really too expensive for an Indian cuisine that is not even authentic, with bland taste and miserable portions. In addition, the owner pushes us to take extras instead of revising his menu (a single dry nan bread for a combo for 2 people at $60, tiny portion of rice, lamb dish which is actually beef, etc.) The only Star is for the decoration and the very good bottle of red that I brought back, but otherwise there is really better on the side of Parc-Ex.
Excellent place and super good food.
Excellent meals, service from Sami is excellent!! We were there with a baby, Sami even took him in his arms to bring him closer to the lights!! Even Joey-Lee at 8 and a half months has tasted everything!! We will definitely go back!! Parking: Free parking nearby in the evenings and weekends Kid-friendliness: High chairs available, very attentive staff
Everything was very good and Samys service is really great
Excellent in every way service, atmosphere and food everything is delicious and they are so nice I love and highly recommend this restaurant!
I always come here when I want to eat Indian and the service is super friendly!
Incredible dinner. Atmosphere, varied menu, music. It s a real culinary journey! The owners are super funny and friendly.
Pleasantly surprised!!!
Very good address to recommend. Happy birthday to the owner
One of the best restaurants in Joliette! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the owners are adorable!
I loved my experience, the server Samy is stupid, the food is great
What can I say...the food, atmosphere, and service was fantastic. This will be my #1 spot in Joliette.
Really very good restaurant. You have to try it!!! For two we took (BB) + shrimp
One word EXTRAORDINARY! From the welcome to the service, the exceptional quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere!!! You have to go through Joliette and stop at this restaurant!!!
Very good restaurant, excellent food, impeccable service with Samy we had a very nice evening. I highly recommend it.
We loved our evening. More than delicious meals, a warm atmosphere. We are not from the region, but we will definitely return. A great discovery!
Very good, great service and very well received Well done
Incredible service and warm atmosphere! Meals are served quickly and hot!
It was super good it s worth the trip
Extremely small portions. We ordered the butter chicken and there were barely 7-8 cubes of chicken in a large bowl filled with sauce. Naan bread does not come with the meals, you have to order it extra whereas elsewhere, it is always included with the meal. Very expensive for the ridiculous amount of food. The taste is good, but not extraordinary.
Super good, and very nice Parking: Street
I loved my experience and my meal! The food was excellent and the service impeccable! Plus they have great gluten-free options. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free
Very welcoming, tasty meal and the tea at the end was excellent
Wow!! The welcome, the service and the staff were more than warm. The meal was delicious!! A more than pleasant dinner in a magnificent restaurant. It was worth the detour. We will definitely come back. Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian option menu
Great discovery... Lots of fun, laughing with the waiters. Good food... what a pleasure for the palate to taste all the flavors. The decor of the restaurant makes us feel somewhere else.
This was our first time at Bharati and we will definitely return! Warm welcome in a breathtaking setting! The food there is exceptional!
Great experience
We waited 1 hour for the order to be taken and another 2 hours before being served. In other words, we arrived at 5:30 and ate at 9:15. We had reservations for 20 people and they placed us on three different benches. We ate 30 minutes apart. They got the dishes wrong and the food was very ordinary. I understand that there is a shortage of staff, but it would be better to turn away customers and not operate at full capacity in this case.
Disappointing service, slow and without warmth. Butter chicken that almost tastes like too runny kraft dinner. Dry naan bread. Warm plates. Much too expensive for the quality received. Luckily the decor is beautiful!
Ses cool Kid-friendliness: Ok Food : 3/5 |
Rare are the restaurants that reach this level of excellence! We had a fantastic culinary journey. Everything was perfect, cooking, heat of the dishes and presentation. The atmosphere is warm and gives a taste of family gathering. The servers Sami and Abdul are kind and humorous which makes the evening even more pleasant. Impeccable service. It was our first time but certainly not the last! Thanks also to Chantal for organizing the evening!
Avoid butter chicken. Long and average service.
A real charm! Chantal & Abdoul were able to welcome us with open arms! A warm welcome, excellent dishes, a pleasant atmosphere. Everything for a memorable evening with friends. This restaurant is crazy. 5 stars for sure!
Great place, friendly atmosphere and very good food! I will go back
Its good. Friendly staff
