Its quite rare that I go to Joliette coming from Montreal, I was visiting a friend in this region and they recommended a sushi restaurant to me which is well rated. It was one of the first to open and has maintained an enviable standard ever since. The interior is large and can accommodate a lot of people at the same time, its clean. Superb presentation of the sushi, the sushi is very good and not too much rice around. I love Mayo style sauce. Unfortunately I ordered to bring but next time I will eat there. I recommend this place with my eyes closed Update .. I finally came to eat there and I was not disappointed. Quick welcome, excellent service, quick preparation, the sushi is extremely good. I really recommend it!!!

The food is ok but the service is very poor. When I called to make a reservation the person was extremely rude. I made it clear I wanted to pick up, but he kept saying he didnt understand and asked if I wanted to dine in or take out. They told me it would be ready in 30 minutes and called me to come pick it up. But he never called me. I went straight to the restaurant and found that it had been ready for a long time. He also rolled his eyes at my father.

Very ordinary in terms of customer service. I asked politely if they used latex gloves for cooking since I was allergic and was stupidly told I could go elsewhere A first and last experience for me!

Very very bad delivery experience, a few moments ago, the delivery man demanded a minimum tip of 10% for my delivery, a tip is voluntary and I had calculated my tip in advance, he told me that Its not his problem that its the delivery people who pay for their gas and that next time, if I cant afford the minimum 10% I will have to go to the counter. Its simple, there will be no next time. Everything has increased everywhere and in addition tipping would be at the discretion of the restaurant. No thanks, If you want to require minimum tips for your delivery people, its up to you to either pay for the gas or include this mandatory tip on the invoice to the customer before sending the food. I always liked Tekka before, its lost a lot.

Always perfect, small mishap, order of 8 rolls for delivery and one was missing (16.99) a specialty. I called and they quickly found a solution to satisfy my needs. They really made up for their mistake and Im happy!

On our way back to Montreal, we stopped in Joliette at this restaurant. We had miso soup, fly shrimp, salmon pizza and beef. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly.

It s good because it s the best sushi, I give it a big 10 but the service is more than ordinary for take out AND delivery. You can order the day before... at least an hour late for take-out and delivery... once I had to call 3 times and I ended up canceling after an hour and a half late... no excuses, no smiles in this restaurant A mistake . 2-3-4 even... it can happen but can we have a little recognition?

Truly uninspiring and bland food. And they had the right amount of indifferent service to back it up. Im sorry to say, but this place is a hard pass.

It was delicious but the service was really too long. The people at the tables around, although they arrived later, were served before us. Looks like our order was lost. Our sushi wasnt served at the same time either. A shame as an experience this time but in general, its really better!

Really good, really beautiful! Big pieces, good service. All ingredients are of high quality and reasonably priced. A TON of choice and variety more than anywhere else!

Its ok if you like basic sushi without much flavours and overpriced... Im not a fan and I gave it 5 or 6 chances before writing the review.

Normally renowned, I dont know if the restaurant has changed ownership but the place was very dirty! Not to mention the bathroom which was unsanitary :/

Excellent sushi. Even though we live more than an hour away, we continue to order takeout from Tekka because we are never disappointed by the quality of the food.

The sushi of different styles were all excellent. Nice place and good service.

Usually we love it but the last order we picked up really disappointed us. We ordered for 4 people, we only had 2 small containers of tamari, we asked for a lot of wasabi, we got in total, size of 2 peas, we asked for ginger for everyone, they charged 4 .50$ + taxes, we chose Maki without tempura, there was tempura. Anyway, I dont know whats going on...

2 hours of waiting at the table to be served even though we have kids! Not normal to be this long. Its good but not worth it for two hours of being hungry.

I did not like my experience in this restaurant. With a rating of 4.5 on Google Maps, I expected a great experience. Value for money, We had the 56 piece and the vast majority contained faux crab and shrimp. As for service, the employee who served us really didnt seem to want to be there. The water that is served really doesnt taste good. Maybe its the water from the city of Joliette? We have just arrived in the area and are used to eating in lots of restaurants in Montreal. Have those who give 5* never eaten in restaurants outside of Joliette to compare? - Generous portion of spicy mayo when you ask for it as well as great taste!

The sushi is delicious. There are plenty of choices. Its definitely better than Yuzu Sushi and the sushi shop. Parking: There is a parking lot just behind. Otherwise street parking is available from 6 p.m.

Reading the reviews, I expected an excellent restaurant. It was quite the opposite. Stupid waitress who didnt want to be there, service which took 45 minutes for a few pieces. The sushi was not fresh. Honestly, I expected better, too bad.

I ve been going there since I was 7! This restaurant is my go to!! This is our Friday tradition for my partner and I. I call between 11 a.m. and noon and often I can pick them up between 4 and 5 p.m. On the other hand, if you order after midday, you risk having to wait until 6-7 p.m. for your order with a certain waiting time. But the sushi is CLEARLY worth it. Delicious, fresh, sought-after. Even when pregnant I have several options. I ve been to A LOT of sushi restaurants and none satisfy me as much as Tekka! They are unbeatable

You call at 11 a.m. to place an order that evening and when you arrive to pick it up you wait ONE HOUR. No empathy or apologies from the staff in the face of this endless wait. Unacceptable. Rotten. Go straight ahead and go to Miaki or Saigon. I will make sure to not recommend this place to anyone who asks for a sushi recommendation in Joliette.

The food is still excellent, however the prices have increased hard to believe in 2 years. The restaurant this afternoon at 12:30 p.m. was almost empty and I didnt see anyone come in for take-out for 45 minutes.

Best sushi in Quebec for real! To try in the specialties: - fleur de lys, incredible! -Sushi pizza (it s a fried rice cake with sushi toppings on top, really good!) -Lobster/crab Kyuro (instead of nori, commonly called the black stuff lol its cucumber) -Ebi fly maki (fried panko shrimp) -Futomaki with eel (I know, I know, but try it! You wont regret!) -Tek ichigo maki (the little sauce tastes better than your boyfriends semen, no jk) - I think hosomaki tamago (tamago = tamagoyaki = sweet Japanese omelette) has nothing to do with what is done here! The ingredients are fresh, the recipes INCREDIBLE!! truly the best sushi in Quebec without hesitation! And you will be able to see that I try a lot in all four corners of Quebec (not all with reviews but still, I try a lot of Asian restaurants!)

It was my favorite restaurant, unfortunately you call there and the young woman who answers has a very bad attitude and requires a mandatory payment of $30, its exaggerated especially when Im a single person... I called back to took it myself in Take out and she refused to serve me. Luckily I was able to speak to someone else who gave me a much more professional service than the girl.

Extremely poor service!! I ordered 3 items. Error on my order and The waiter never came to see me during my meal so I ate something I didnt order. When I got up to go pay I told him he just charged me the replacement product. Wow thank you!!! I didnt even have water during my entire meal. And I never got to ask him since I never saw him again.. We were 4 customers in the restaurant so its not because it was overwhelmed. The techno music was playing super loud like we were in a club. I came out with a terrible headache. This is the first time in my life that I havent even left a tip. I left really disappointed and frustrated. I will never return to this place
