2522 Rue Saint-Dominique, Jonquière, QC G7X 6J7, Canada
Genteel guesthouse offering quaint rooms & a garden, plus an intimate eatery serving European fare.
Very nice hostess and amazing chef. Homely environment wifi problems
Very good services and very clean
relax
Has undergone renovation (with more to come), good service and nice rooms. Call before arriving.
Nearby activities: Close to Lake Saint Jean and the fjord. Noteworthy details: Opposite a beautiful church. Close to restaurants.
Following the advice of Nat Dumas, a year has passed and I can confirm that nothing has been done to room 1, very hard bed, questionable shower, lots of noise, always the sound of a thumb under the door I even asked the owner if I had the room of the concierge who had gone on vacation. Room number 1 is not on the Google photos. I understand.... Its really a mediocre room. Rooms: Very mediocre. Never again in this place
Very good, fine cuisine and the plates have very beautiful presentations. The owner is very sociable and provides very good service. Nearby activities: Théâtre le Côté Cours and main street.
It was very pleasant for a first time, very good fondue, we tasted kangaroo and deer in addition to the beef. Good sauces, excellent croutons etc etc in fact everything was very good. Good service for us, we were served by the owner. Thank you so much.
Zero services, no choice of fondue menus and nothing else
The dining experience would increase if the service was efficient which unfortunately is not the case.
Excellent meal for dinner. Good service. We recommend it and we will return!
This evening, a great discovery, the restaurant Les Deux Tours on rue St-Dominique in the Jonquière district. The food is exceptional, as is chef Frédéric and his wife who offer us unparalleled service. I cant wait to go back.
Great dinner and great service from our host
Bedroom #1 We arrived around 3:30 p.m., there was no one at reception, we went to get the cook. 2 double beds. Quite hard beds, good sized pillows for us (thin). Wi-Fi not great. People drinking at the upper balcony (guests) and alley to avoid in my opinion. Parking ahead on the other side of the street. Crack at the bottom of the bedroom door by more than 1 inch (uneven to boot) but presence of a door snake on a hanger. For room #1 noises from the kitchen from dinner and breakfast audible. A French door in the bedroom without balcony. Cleanliness of the interior of the shower questionable. The upstairs shower leaked in our bathroom. Flood at my feet as I dried my hair. It was leaking down the side of the wall and through the ceiling light (brown water). Hazard! Repairs carried out according to owner previous week. We will not return there. Rooms: See above.
Perfect for dinner 10/10 but for breakfast its something else... too bad, can harm the reputation of the very good chef who is there for the evening meal
We had requested a departure at 12 p.m. which was granted to us but the maid was not aware so she entered the room at 10:45 a.m. without knocking and that really bothered us, lack of communication from the administration! We will not return to this hostel.(room no 6) Rooms: Floor creaks a lot for fear of waking up others who are sleeping. No hook in the bathroom.
It cost me 173.50 with tax, I should have paid for the hotel instead, very crooked floor that creaks. We hear everything that happens on the other side of the door or those who walk upstairs. At $80 maximum would have been acceptable but never at that price we are on it
We hear the neighbors.
Very good and beautiful for the eyes!!
Excellent lunch and reasonable price. Service number 1
We went to dinner this evening, a 3-course meal: honestly the best thing Ive had in ages! Everything was excellent, food and impeccable service! 5 out of 5 for the 3 of us! Go find out!
A very nice discovery. A quiet restaurant where you can talk without yelling at each other. Chef Fréderick offers a superior culinary experience. Local products in the spotlight, careful presentation and well-crafted flavors. We took the 5 course. Completely satisfied. Great soup, foie gras, elk, incredible éclair for dessert. Everything was perfect. The cooking of the elk was perfect. The chef came to meet us when he had time to speak to us. An authentic French chef who knows culinary science and who works with regional products. A true enthusiast. A superb evening. Thank you to our young and dedicated server Gabriel who was able to answer our questions. Auberge les deux tours... See you soon.
Wow! What can I say, I loved my experience! The meal was excellent, the service very fast, the waitress kind, reasonable price. Thank you very much for this explosion of flavor. We will come back, me and my partner for sure!
Restaurant service, bar and unique rooms all in a historical spirit. Treat yourself to a trip into the past.
Went for lunch last Saturday morning, the service was excellent as was the food. The calm atmosphere was pleasant. Beautiful view of the Saint-Dominique church when we eat. I recommend this place.
Great service and very good lunch. THANKS
Very clean, good lunch and super friendly I recommend to everyone!
Nice place for lunch. Rustic and vintage!
The food is delicious! No choice to come back thank you!
Delicious. And charming place.
Well located in the center of Jonquière, this hotel is very pleasant provided that your roommates are quiet because you can hear everything. For the most part, the room was clean, both beds comfortable, and everything worked.
We arrived in full service of course, but no connection afterwards with the staff because the restaurant was closed. Too bad because choosing a hostel more than a motel is for communication. So no breakfast possible as the restaurant is closed from Wednesday to Sunday...the bathroom was not clean.
I like to eat
Excellent service, great atmosphere, the excellent fondue is the best I have eaten at the restaurant, I recommend this place!
I came here on a trip to work at the CEGEP de la Jonquiere. Super practical in terms of location, charming people who even called me in the evening to find out if I had managed to get there given that there had been a snowstorm and the road to the park was closed . I also advise you to have breakfast! One of the few that starts at 7 a.m. in the region (I compared and few offer this service that early) and whats more, it was super good for cheap! In short, a very nice discovery!
The location, the kindness of the owner and staff; the inn is well maintained despite its age I recommend it. Dont trust the old comment, they are new owners
Very very good
Beautiful atmosphere and good service and above all the new golden owners. Thank you for your warm welcome
Interesting price and good location!
Excellent lunch! Welcoming people, beautiful terrace and affordable price.
Beautiful atmosphere, good price and the meal was very tasty, worth trying!
Excellent except small portion for the price! The à la carte menu is not very elaborate.
Good welcome, delicious meal! I had squid as a starter and flank steak and I loved it. In addition, their beer encourages a local microbrewery. Really well located near the city center of the Jonquiere district in Saguenay.
We spent one night at your Inn in room 6, I didnt expect that at all! It more than lived up to my expectations, the lady on the phone (who seemed to be either the manager or the owner) was very professional and kind to me. Both when we arrived and when we left, all the employees were friendly and professional! Our room was very clean and I was blown away by the country look which was well preserved in relation to the age of the building; It s simply beautiful and cozy! In short, we highly recommend your Inn for an extraordinary stay!
Super friendly welcome.. Very pretty and clean room with a rustic character
Super good dinner, lovely atmosphere, well definitely be going back!!
Warm place, good service. I went there for lunch and everything was excellent.
Very nice place, and courteous staff
Well eaten, nice atmosphere
At first when I arrived I was sure I had booked in a seedy place and I was sorry. Then I took a chance and went for it. Where to start? The person who runs this place is just INCREDIBLE. You feel at home, it s warm, so nice. I really enjoyed talking with him. Very kind and very funny! When I arrived in the room I was very happy. He helped me carry my bag and the room and very pretty! Very comfortable, I felt great! Next time I come back to Jonquière I will definitely come back here and the area is very beautiful! THANKS! Also when I needed to go out without my very heavy bag after check out he kept it for me! What good service!!!
A very friendly and contemporary hotel which served us during our trip to Canada! We do not remember having booked there.
Nice boss and good advice. Street a little noisy on weekends
Warm and courteous welcome
Warm welcome, clean place, the owner was very welcoming and has good knowledge of places to visit and eat, all at an affordable price. My only downside is that the mattress was not the most comfortable.
Very clean place and close to everything! Welcoming host! Beds in room 5 a little hard but for the price it was very affordable ($105 for the night)
I recently booked the 2 tours in Saguenay at the inn. I arrive there and I realize that I will be alone in this inn, which is confirmed by the owner of the inn by adding AND WITH THE GHOST......... Me who was not sure in advance, he didnt have to say that. I couldnt sleep there, I was too scared. I told him and only replied that I am manners. I went to sleep elsewhere, telling him that I was not able to sleep at his hostel. He never wanted to admit his lack of tact and he charged me with the room anyway. It sickens me!
We are always received like kings! THANKS!
well located city center
Its location is great and the shower is very good. The owner is welcoming and gives us very good advice. BUT if you have room 5, very very uncomfortable bed, very noisy air conditioning, light coming from under the door through a 1 inch gap. Lots of potential but still being put forward.
The room was very comfortable for two. Clean and well located. Jovial and attentive staff
Very friendly welcome, comfortable bed, no breakfast in the morning. We only have a clawfoot tub. Nice but not very practical for washing. Busy street, but close to amenities.
Very welcoming owner
Very friendly owner! In the heart of Downtown, charming inn! - July 14, 2016
Despite a reservation, we arrived at 5 p.m. to a closed door. Hostel in very poor condition that looks like it was bankrupt. If we offer supper, where was the cook? We had to quickly look for another hotel during the very busy week of the live show. The Hotel La Saguénéenne fortunately helped us out.
