Nous y sommes allé durant nos vacances estivales du mois d'Août. Nous avons adoré leurs poutines sauce BBQ, les portions étaient généreuses, bon service et que dire du fromage en grain Boivin, Miam !! Nous y retournerons dès que nos vacances coïnciderons avec le secteur.
La poutine de la Cantine Boivin est une véritable expérience culinaire! Les frites dorées à la perfection, le fromage en grains Boivin en grande quantité dans la poutine et la sauce savoureuse se combinent pour créer un délice incontournable. Chaque bouchée est un pur bonheur, et l'ambiance conviviale de la cantine ajoute à l'authenticité de ce plat québécois classique. Ne manquez pas cette poutine exceptionnelle!
Cantine avec quelques places assises à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur. Le service est vraiment très rapide malgré le nombre de clients. La poutine familiale est généreuse en frite et fromage, mais manque considérablement de sauce. De plus, la sauce BBQ est vraiment très (trop) salée. Le fromage est délicieux!
We stopped in here for a quick bite after a late appointment, my husband and I. The cashier was nice and courteous. The food was served up quickly. Everything was good and hot and the establishment was clean. The poutine sauce is one of the best in the region.
Beau petit casse-croûte sans prétention au personnel souriant ! Le fromage Boivin vaut bien entendu le détour. La sauce maison est bonne et peu sucrée mais était en faible quantité dans notre poutine familiale. Plusieurs produits fromagers vendus sur place. La salle à manger est propre.
Cantine Boivin is known for its cheese and québécois poutine. There's also a lot of variety and options for their dishes. Compared to other fast food chains such as Mcdo and Burger King, they price slightly lower for the same amount of food.
Excellent hot dogs, but the poutine was not quite on par with this place's reputation. The cheese was really good. While the staff was friendly, they seemed confused at times and the way they just shout your whole order to let you know it's there to pick up was confusing. Why not just give numbers to people?
So excited this place is close to my work. They were quick and food was hot. Very good.
It is one of my favorite restaurants, everything is good and inexpensive, I highly recommend it

GREAT FILTHY FLOOR!! He passes a mop in the dining room with the same water and after washing the kitchen. The floor is dirtier than it was. The terazo floor is blackened especially in the passage areas. Im going to have to wash my shoes. It makes me want to come back more...
I went there yesterday and the employees are as stupid as their feet! I enter at 10:55. They see me and shout at me from the other end Were closed Madam while all 3 of them stare at me with their frustrated look. It opens at 11 a.m. A quick hello and a nice smile wouldn t hurt!
the cheapest poutines in town and the best if you choose to put the 2 sauces inside and there is no shortage of cheese!!!! excellent service I have nothing to say except that it closes on Friday at 8 a.m. So no poutine when the kids are in bed

I went there in December and January for take-out orders, and each time, there was nothing to do: the fries are too soft and soaked in oil and the homemade sauce no longer tastes like it used to. a few years... Every time I have an encounter with the bathroom. Despite the excellent service, I wont go back there again, at least not for the poutine.

I had the poutine dish, chicken strips, bbq sauce, coleslaw. Arriving home, no bbq sauce, no coleslaw. If at least it had been good but no...disgusting. Sorry to disagree with the majority but for me the term junk food is far too flattering for this restaurant.

We were passing through Saguenay and had planned to go to the Boivin canteen because we are fans of their Petit Crèmeux cheese. How to express total disappointment: Hol doy: We should have taken a photo of the hot dog because it was so stupid. A sausage broken in two, well so far its not very serious. Cabbage mayonnaise... a slight trace of mayo and no more than 5 sprigs of coleslaw... not very cooked either Smocked meat poutine: Firstly, smocked meat is the frozen thin-sliced type cut into pieces. The sauce could have been called broth because it was so liquid. The fries I dont know how they were cooked because they were drowned in broth. The cheese was excellent though. The nuggets: Fried breaded cheese curds. The breading tasted like cardboard, maybe frozen too long.... The service: Very busy and the service was good, it would have missed a cook but they managed. It took a bit of time to get served. All for 40 beayx dollars
Excellent luxury potato shack ! The food is fresh, the dishes are hot and its a feast of flavors in the mouth. The only problem is the young lady who takes orders very coldly! Kid-friendliness: There should be variety for the childrens menu.
I could say that everything is good with Boivin cheese one of the best cheeses in Saguenay you can even eat on site inside or outside enjoy your meal
Nice place to eat outside when the weather is nice. But for closing hours in the middle of the summer season, except a little early. I went recently, and I saw at least four groups returning their steps. The restaurant was closing at 7 a.m. or a little early. Parking: Few places for the two businesses

I loved the BBQ poutine, the portions are delicious and the service is very fast.
I ate a poutine, it wasnt extraordinary but it was good 3 stars the cheese was excellent and fresh. But the amount of non-recyclable and non-biodegradable single-use waste is indecent. The plastic bag is useless because I ate there. The tray is made of aluminum plus a plastic lid a plastic fork a plastic bag a plastic straw and lid. All this will take years to biodegrade for 30 minutes of meals example: Plastic bottles From 100 to 1,000 years Aluminum can From 200 to 500 years Plastic bag 400 years Polystyrene 1,000 years I believe that in 2022 we can do better. The proof is that Valentine has stopped using Styrofoam trays for recycled cardboard.

Decent food and atmosphere the only downside is the modest tipping machines and the forced tipping I totally dislike, it doesnt deserve a tip when youre at the cash register and youre just receiving an order and whats more theyre not paid server salary. Servers must declare all the tips they make in addition to the reduced hourly wage and the additional workload they have.

Passer ici pour découvrir mais je dois dire que cétait dimanche alors on sais que le dimanche les employés sont mon habitué alors pour commander ça bien été mais pour avoir notre commande ça pris 25 minutes jai trouvé ça un peux long mais jai manger hot-dog vapeur et poutine et tout était très bon alors je vais réessayer pendant la semaine

Excellent just like the original at La Baie. The girls are polite and smiling despite wearing masks! The only downside is that the tables are not cleaned between customers so in times of covid its meh, but in normal times it would be ok!
