The food tasted old, stale, and dried out. Most of the food was hard and flavorless, the restaurant was dirty and the bill was very expensive. It wasnt worth what we paid to eat there, this is the 1st all you can eat buffet that I didnt wanna eat any more then one plate of food. Very disappointing, way overpriced for such terrible quality, I feel sick after eating there, id recommend not wasting that much money on such low quality of food

There is a reason theyve been in business for so long. Build your own combos with so much variety and choice. Really fresh ingredients with options to please everybody. We really enjoy Kung Po Gai Ding and shrimp with black bean are so delicious along with the usual mains everyone usually orders. Our savoir, War won ton with spring rolls when we are under the weather and nobody can cook. Older Restaurant in a old part of Kamloops. What you come here for is the food. Good Western Chinese buffet, hot, fresh from the kitchen, good variety, good value for the money, yes they can be busy with one server up front but it is a buffet so you serve yourself. I could give advice on how to make it better which would probably make it more expensive so I like it the way it is. In my mind the best buffet in Kamloops.

The few times I order Chinese food a year. 99,% of the time I order from here. Portion sizes cant be beat plus theyre a long time local business so I like to support them

Server was absolutely lovely, but the restaurant itself was a bit dated and felt dirty. The food was fine, if all youre interested in is a buffet its good, but i probably wont be back

The cashiers are always soo friendly every time I go in to pick up my order and their food is pretty good, and for the price too. The red sauce they use for their chicken balls isnt artificial tasting and overwhelming like most places. I think Lotus Inn is one of the North Shores gems.

Everything had a funny after taste like old meat and they just lather it in sauce hoping no one will notice also every deep fried dish was in old oil and all tastes fishy not sanitary at all in the kitchen

We went for the buffet tonight as moving and tired. Was my first time and was very impressed. Lots of options and I found maybe one or two items I didn t find really good. Good price for the quality, options and the service with refreshments and clearing. Was very impressed. If you re looking for the nostalgia feeling of an 80 s kid out for family dinner this nails it! Will definitely be back. Thanks for a great dining experience! Parking: They have lots of parking out front if lucky and beside the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Had seats and boosters etc for kids. Staff was great with all the kids eating while we dined.

They will rip you off. They have a menu posted, but will change the prices at will claiming the menu online is 10 years old. wife literally clicked the menu and it says posted by manager in 2020. They were rude and did not correct the problem and I will be calling better business bureau on them. Plus the food is absolute garbage.

Well I didnt get to be seated to even experience much of anything except a decent amount of blatant judgment of our outwardly superficial appearance of living in poverty... They would not even seat my partner & I at a table even though they had already seated a number of our friends. I was throughly disheartened considering how much I had enjoyed this restaurant in the past and was hoping to share this experience with my partner.

A very ordinary Chinese buffet, mainly catering to group travelers and some foreigners

There are about 30 kinds of dishes, simple lettuce bar, various cooking methods of pork, chicken, fried food, curry beef, fried noodles, rice, rice noodles, the taste is average, because it is a group meal, so I dont know the price.

It is old, not much has changed in 50 years as far as food goes. Changed the layout of the original dining room. I enjoyed the nostalgia, but not very good food overall. Most is deep fried, and bland.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! A friend and I went for dinner, we were told to go get a seat. We went and helped ourselves to the buffet, and then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for drinks! We are our meal before we got a drink!! A server came and said she would give us a discount on the meal because of it. We go pay and my friend mentioned the discount, the waitress said yep no problem and then proceeded to punch in our meals and pretend to hit a discount button. They are so cheap they cant even honor their own words! Absolutely pathetic will not be back!

Food was bountiful, but bland. No real standouts here. Smorgasbord was $25 pp, and considering what was on offer, kinda meh. Place is worn out. Piles of boxes here and there. Open doors look in to darkened banquet halls piled with disused tables. Could use a refresh or at least a once-over to straighten things up a titch. Neighborhood is super sketchy. Park out front so you can watch your car.

First of I understand inflation but for two buffet meals and two drinks it was $ 62.00 , the food was cold and gross . Only good part with after the only other two people left we had great service being the only person in the restaurant . Parking: Lots Free parking tho but sketchy as hell , did not fell safe parking there without someone scoping out my car ,

A great buffet restaurant! I have been here with my work crews and the staff knows what I like to have for drinks and my crews drinks. We are here 2-3 times a week for lunches. It is worth your time to be here at 11:45 Am and the food is fresh. I enjoy the Buffet and the staff are well accommodating.

Came through kamloops this weekend and gave the buffet here a try. Everything tasted amazing. What you would expect for a Chinese buffet. The customer service was above and beyond. Only thing I could mention for them to get 5 stars is I noticed the toilets in the restrooms dont get regular attention. As a customer with little ones, I like to know the public bathrooms get regularly sanitized and cleaned. Other then that we will absolutely be back!

We havent actually sat in the restaurant for quite some time. We get take out and then drive the hour and a half to get home on our shopping trips. The food is always hot when we sit to eat because these guys package it so well. The packages are so full that everyone can go back for seconds or thirds even and, trust me, we all go back for seconds or thirds because the food tastes great. The prices have gone up $20 or so for combinations (be prepared because their old menu pricing is still on sites) but in todays economy, I guess its expected. When we treat ourselves to restaurant food, we go here because it is just that...a treat. The last time I stopped, the gentleman who took our order was phenomenal and extremely nice and helpful. Id go back for that reason alone. Its been a while since I was treated so nicely by anyone in the food/service industry; he made my day. Parking: There are options to park on the street but there is a large parking lot right next to the restaurant that is free for guests. Ive never had an issue parking before. Kid-friendliness: Ive taken my kids to sit and eat before. The staff treats them well and they are as welcomed as anyone else. Wheelchair accessibility: There are two doors to enter that are kind of narrow but this is an old building. Im sure the staff would help if one was in a wheelchair and dining alone.

Great variety smorgasbord. Lots of seafood. Choices of chicken, beef, pork. Veggies with full flavour and cooked perfectly. Relaxed atmosphere, make it what you want. Staff is no pressure. Food tastes great. Steam trays kept full. Be careful: you will overeat. Kid-friendliness: Not especially catered to kids. But lots of food options. High chair available. Wheelchair accessibility: Level access from sidewalk.

What a pleasant experience! Very friendly service, I just loved our server, she was a sweetheart. The chef came out with a big friendly smile and asked how we were. The food was fresh, yummy and well priced. Will definitely be back!! Oh and love the old Jade plant!

Once again we got great service and amazing food! Weve gone for the buffets and they are sooo good but prefer to just get take out/delivery most of the time. Tonight we both ordered pick 3 combos...came way faster than we were told it would and OMG...it was so good!! Thank you for excellent service and food!

We all know you do not do well on the food. The food is way too greasy and sugary, and tastes nothing Chinese. But upon choosing this place I havent been expecting much and would content myself with quantity over quality. That earned you one more star. Congrats.

Thought it was done staff greater us at door and told us to come in and look see if we liked ,it was not all out but all we had to do is ask and food was bought out,very friendly people clean place service was quick and tasty also reasonably priced.

Ordered ahead to have it delivered to new parents. Got there on time and was told great food.

For how much you pay its very bland and to be honest kind of disappointing taste wise. Perportions were a great size, Wasnt a bad experience just very underwhelming. Didnt stand out as a place id think of immediately when looking for a good gut filling meal.

We tried the buffet one night & glad we did! There was a large variety to choose from. We came in later after 7pm but the cook made sure to refresh the vegetables & some items that were low. We loved everything except we agreed that the batter on the deep fried shrimp is too thick & kinda doughy. Other than that the ice cream was not available. Not happy... especially on a cheat day!! We have been back since & it was just as good but again the ice cream was not available!! Would be nice to have this choice for dessert.

Absolutely fantastic food. I had Chinese food at a million restaurants. This is indeed the best. Id drive 3 hours to Kamloops just for a meal again.

Disgusting customer sitting beside me burped very loudly, sneezed as much as physically possible, behaved rudely, and the staff didn t do anything to stop him. The food itself was not that tasty. I lost my appetite very quickly.

the food is exactly what I want from a Chinese food buffet. The staff is asian, most likely chinese. To me as a longtime Kamloopsian, this is the archetype of chinese buffets. its chinese-canadian food, like taco bell is mexican-american food. they have a lunch and dinner buffet every day of the week, and their garlic butter potatos/perogies/shrimp/anything really is delicious. I am sad when i get full. 4/5 only because i have to compare it to other chinese restaurants with different niches/clientele. The Lotus Inn is my preferred chinese buffet in Kamloops. Wheelchair accessibility: grandma has a walker and we got in and out just fine. would recommend bringing a helper to do the buffet portion, as it is intended for standing height. seniors got a discounted buffet.

The food was dry and many dishes were close to inedible because they were hard. The ladies working there were friendly! The atmosphere is dark and dingy, definitely could use a good refreshing. The Price was absolutely way too much for the lack of quality or quantity at this buffet.

Food is average at its best.... Orderd bottled orange juice and even tho expirery date was 2023 it had chunks floating around and tasted bitter. Arrived at 12:45 for lunch and alot of stuff was near empty and wasent topped of. Drinks should be included in buffet price ... Maybe dinner buffet are better but quite disappointed for a Saturday lunch buffet

Although you serve yourself as it is a buffet they are vigilant in keeping the food table full and hot with great selection of foods to choose from and I believe you can also order food as well but I havent done that myself as I enjoy the huge selection at the buffet tables instead

This is our usual go to for Chinese food. We have our favorites. Unsure if the recipes have changed but our chicken chow mein tasted like fish? The taste is not like it use to.

Ive been going to this chinese restaurant since I was little with my parents. Its always been a family favourite and I still go today with my kids. The salt and pepper pork and their honey garlic pork are my favorite but I honestly love it all. Huge portions and lots of flavour. The take out buffet is an amazing deal, one order will feed 2 for dinner. Love this place.

Always great food. Serving sizes are huge and it is always delivered super hot! The delivery lady is always so friendly and we look forward to our interactions with her!

I sat down at a table and there were spider webs all over the place. It was gross and the food wasnt as good as other buffets with much cleaner eating areas.

The lady who was there that seemed to be running the restaurant was super friendly! The food was so so but its a buffet. They are running the buffet and seem to be managing it quite well

We had our planned stop in Kamloops as we have done every year, and decided on Chinese food for delivery to our Motel. I m sure glad we chose the Lotus!!
