Our goal is to provide value and quality. In every aroma, bite, and warmth you feel from our staff, we hope you experience the culture, hospitality, and people of Asia. We know that our food will bring you joy and a sensation to bring you back again!
Placed a take out order yesterday. Everything was really flavourful. Portions a reasonable size. The only item we were disappointed in was the Sweet&Sour Boneless Chicken.... it was very chewy and very tough - maybe it was an old chicken?. Overall I would recommend this restaurant. Much tastier than Moon Wok.
Just picked up an order and was surprised it was only 67 bucks! The amount of food we ordered we thought it would be 100$. Not only affordable, but incredible food. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Definitely gonna be a regular.
Always enjoy eating here! Friendly staff, quiet atmosphere and quick service. My favourite place in town. I recommend everyone to try this place.
This is, by far, the best Chinese food restaurant in town, with the best chicken fried rice I've ever had. The duck is amazing and the portions on their dishes are perfect. The one downside is delivery tends to be very delayed, but I'd say it's worth a drive to get it.
Will never order from here again. Ordered take out and it was not good. We did pick up and to was just warm, the shrimp and chicken had way too much batter, we decided to return it the next day. The woman argued and finally returned $45 which was half of our order. Very disappointing!
We drove from Vancouver to Banff and stopped here for lunch. The food was pretty good and the sever was friendly and attentive! And we did come back and have lunch again on our way back to Vancouver!
Above and beyond! This is our go to Chinese spot, we’ve never had an issue and have always loved here, but yesterday they went absolutely above and beyond their regular exceptional service. We were celebrating my little sisters cancer free anniversary but it was unfortunately on a day the restaurant is normally closed. So the owners / staff came in on their day off to cook for us!! We were absolutely blown away by the generosity and will continue to support this business through and through when we can. Thank you so much for being apart of making my sisters day so special 💕
Excellent, friendly, efficient service. Waiter recommended choices for allergies. This is appreciated. The food was ok, but not as good as other venues. Portions were large. Prices were in line with other restaurants.
I didn t expect the Chinese food in kamloops to be so delicious! ! Its delicious and can be brewed. Its amazing.
BEST food and BEST service I have ever experienced before! Super super yummy Parking: There is multiple easy to park areas Kid-friendliness: They provide high chairs and it is very kid friendly
Horrible horrible experience, don t go there.
Pricey and not delicious by Chinese food standard taste.
Food service was great. Lady that served me was impeccable. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access to the establishment. Food : 4/5 |
Had a hard time to find this place so guessing on the food service and atmosphere kinda upset and pissed off.
The food is DELICIOUS but could have been hotter. Great friendly service
Always wanted to eat hear and I loved it. Just wish they had buffet
Was a delivery. Very quick and the food was delicious. What a gem of a find.
Chanced upon this restaurant while on our way to Sun Peaks. Was planning to dine in at a different restaurant, but glad to have eaten here. Went back the night before our trip back to Vancouver for some take away. Food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Serving size is just right and can be shared if you re not a big eater. The owner is friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone who s in Kamloops who wants some authentic Chinese food.
Restaurant was quiet, empty but quite a few take out orders. Vegetables with cashews and sliced chicken were ok. Chicken looked weird, almost looked boiled. Chicken chowmein was cooked in too much soy sauce. At the end of the meal huge disappointment - no fortune cookies!!! What Chinese restaurant doesn t have fortune cookies!!! Well this one
Friendly service. But they didn t have condiments like hoisin sauce, sriracha or chili sauce. Was told they are hard to get since Covid. Only offered chili oil which was all oil and a couple specks of something black that I assume was some sort of chili. The Wor Wonton Soup was absolutely disappointing. Had the combo for 1 (B). The chicken fried ride was inedible. The almond chicken tasted like old fryer oil and nothing else. Do not recommend and will not be returning.
Love the food! Very tasty!
It s very tasty and great customer service, price is low compared to others, definitely best place to dine in, love it
The food is delicious! Cheap price! Big portions! worth it
First and last time I will order from this restaurant. The food was over cooked and chewy. Paid $20.40 for a combination A and a spring roll. The amount of food you got for what you paid is not worth $20. I have had better food court Chinese food. Oh and you dont even get a fortune cookie with your food. I wont be back!!
Overall, all the food is nice and delicious. They dont offer buffet during this time but, the other food are still worth it
I use to live here n ordered from them all the time n it came with fortune cookies soya sauce plum sauce n this nothing n when I called she was rude n ask didnt i have any n my fridge n Im visiting here now n no they didnt I was told it doesnt come with it anymore u have to ask for it well news to me maybe the should ask if youd like some soya sauce when taking the order I tip 20% n I wont be ordering from then when Im in town
Very good food. Ordered House Special Crispy Noodles, Beef with black bean, and wonton soup.
It tastes good. Just a smaller amount.
Authentic Sichuan cuisine, suitable for Chinese tastes. Boiled fish, shredded chicken, braised pork with pickled vegetables, and mapo tofu taste great. Five-star recommendation
Gluten free options are so tasty!! Food was ordered online and picked up. They call to confirm the order and provide time to pick up. Staff is friendly. August 2023 Enjoyed a large group dine in with 2 children. The food came quickly and in stages allowing people to serve the dishes to themselves and the staff were attentive gathering dishes as needed. The food was good and the price was very reasonable for 9 people. The lemon crispy beef was so good and can never go wrong with the chicken chowmein, sweetnsour pork, pork fried rice and the egg foo young is the best I was told the wonton soup was very good and everyone enjoyed the food and service. All for $150 ish. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.
We started with lettuce wraps which were excellent. The other dishes we ordered were disappointing. The chicken chow mein was95%noodles with very little chicken or vegetables. The almond chicken was greasy. The food was delivered in record time which causes me to suspect it was sourced from the buffet and not prepared for us. We would not order from here again.
Such friendly and engaged staff. Beautiful food and generous portions. Made our family dinner really sweet. Thank you!
Place was almost empty, chicken was extremely fatty with rough unchewable texture and rice + green beans where very dry. I had to use vh sweet thia chili sauce to make the rice edible and threw the chicken in the garbage. Waste of $60.
Ordered takeout and the Crispy Veg Chow Mein, was not crispy and was completely stale. Phoned and all they would offer is a credit on the chow mein for 30 days. As if we would ever come back. Extremely disappointed in a $80 meal for two people.
2 hairs in food and it was cold
Food just bad, wouldnt come back
Foods are very authentic in my opinion. I would say it is as good as you can get for Chinese foods locally. Staff are very nice and friendly.
My first time trying this restaurant and unfortunately my last. The lady at reception was good but the food was below pair. The lemon Chicken was bland, not the best Chicken and the Duck was well below pair. I dont write reviews but had to on this occasion. My wife and I are so disappointed. Food
Great food, great taste, high recommend maps tofu!
Good food with great service.
One of my favourite places to order Chinese from!
Very disappointed. The chicken chowmien and beef lettuce wraps both tasted the same. Greasy with no asian flavor. The chicken chowmien had hardly any chicken and I dont understand why beef lettuce wraps and not pork?! The lettuce leaves were also too small to hold the filling. The garlic ribs were sub par. Not too much batter but had no garlic flavor. The service was prompt but only because it wasnt busy. Wont order from there again.
Been eating there for over 30 years...
Ordered delivery, and wow! I do live nearby, but was skeptical when the food arrived in under 20 minutes. But it was amazing! Everything was delicious, and fresh. Be warned, if you order the beef and chili hot, its hot and then some! Very impressed, will definitely order from here again
I really like Mongolian Beef and other dishes were good as well but not special. The atmosphere is small town chinese restaurant. I would go again .. seems dependable for somebody who is only in town occasionally. Closes a bit early
My favorite Chinese spot for sure
Best Chinese food by far. Order off the chefs special dishes, on the back of takeout menu.
Excellent, fresh food. Friendly service. 10/10
Very clean and nicely furnished. The menu is huge. It has pages of Western Chinese and Authentic Chinese. Great taste, fast service and good prices. Many of the past reviews were during COVID times but we decided those reviews dont apply anymore so we went for dinner. Dinner was excellent and will return again. I only wish they had dim-sum on the menu at least once a week.
Misleading descriptions- the attached photo is a beef and mushroom - as you can see, it s mainly broccoli. One would assume that the title would make up at least 50% of the total. I understand that the price of food is moving up and I would prefer to pay more for what I ordered not just a massive amount of broccoli as filler.
Was a great place for a large group to get together
It was good
Good food, good service but no one speaks Canadian (English and French) Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible
The order was wrong and the girl who answered the phone was very condescending and just hung up the phone
I just love their food Lettuce wraps... yum! Crispy Chow Mein...double yum! Beef fried rice... A wonderful restaurant with the best Chinese food ever, that I go to every time Im in Kamloops
Great service and nice staff
Shared a dinner for two with my wife and brought home enough for one of us to have for lunch tomorrow. Food was fresh and tasted great. I tried their hot and spicy soup for first time. It comes in mild, medium, hot and extra hot I chose the mild and it was quite hot - I hate to think what the heats like for medium, never mind hot or extra h t Overall a good dining experience!
Many years now been ordering here and always a great experience and the best Chinese in town.
The food is great and fresh as well as friendly staff Vegetarian options: They are very flexible and do not use peanut oil in their food for those who cannot have peanut oil allergies Dietary restrictions: Very versatile if you give them a heads up first when you order Parking: Lots of parking Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Walkway ramps and handicap parking its amazing
We ordered sweet sour chicken which you had to chew for at least 3 mins per piece like rubber. House Chow Main had some very weird tasting pieces of meat and the noodles can t even explain the taste. We didn t wanna try the beef broccoli and kill our last remaining taste buds so ended up tossing it into the garbage bin. Won t order from there again.
Worst Chinese food weve had in 20 years. What was supposed to be spicy, crispy ginger beef was soggy and chewy and flavourless. Chow mein was all noodles, with one sliver of chicken found per serving. Sweet and sour boneless pork was covered in gummy red sauce. The vegetables in the House Special chop suey were cooked well, but along with the stingy servings of meat, were resting in a puddle of watery liquid. The steamed rice was fine. Our take-out order included no napkins, chopsticks, soy sauce or fortune cookies. We spent over $70 on our terrible dinner. So disappointed. This used to be our go-to restaurant for Chinese food. No longer.
Had a great meal.
Super friendly cashier. Food was tasty, you can tell that the owners regularly change the oil on the deep fryers as the wings were excellent and non greasy. Rice was tasty and then almond chicken was hot and fresh. Will be a bi-monthly customer.
Food was great. Service is great.
Covid Aware! Plenty of good food.
Just ordered from this location for the first time. Food was delicious highly recommend. Will order again!
Came here due to Chinese new years and the decent reviews on Google. However, DO NOT BE FOOLED! We waited close to an hour for our food while the understaffed kitchen neglected us over take out orders. We ordered half a duck, beef Chop suey, wonton soup and some rice. The rice and duck were both microwaved abominations that took several gulps of saliva to choke down while the wonton soup and chop suey were nothing to write home about. My theory is that this place only specializes in white washed westernized JUNK (like sweet n sour pork, spring rolls, chow mein, fried rice etc.), that theyve neglected how to cook real Chinese food. I mean for Gods sake, what is a Chinese restaurant without freshly steamed rice?? And to have the audacity to feed customers ANYTHING microwaved! In the end, we paid $62 for our unsatisfactory meal. Save your money. If you actually enjoy real Chinese food go elsewhere. Sincerely, A severely disappointed Chinese customer.
It is really nice, the waiter are nice and friendly, and following the good safety protocol by doing social distancing. Overall, all the food is nice and delicious. They dont offer buffet during this time but, the other food are still worth it
Go for our work Christmas staff dinner every year Good food.
Good quality and quantity! Saved
The food I got tasted fine, but I ordered the seasonal vegetable dish and all it had was broccoli, leeks, and some sort of lettuce, maybe it was bok choy but it was wilted. The container was a smaller container for over $17. My daughter had the large wonton soup bowl and that was just under $13. So for about 33 bucks, only 2 small or maybe regular sized containers, I felt ripped off. Keeping in mind there was no meat just these three vegetables and I actually ate all of it. Being a very small eater that never finishes a full meal, the value is terrible and the variety too. I think Ill go back to my other restaurants. Service was fine and the option of no MSG was good.
This restaurant was built over a field I used to play in as a child. A nice local Chinese restaurant. Ive never been disappointed in the food and love the community spirit of the staff
We ordered delivery, spent about 80 bucks, and I have never seen so much broccoli in all my life.willl never order again.
Awesome food. Support a small family run business. Stay local
If you like spicy food, you must try the beef shank in spicy sauce. Take a bite and that will bring your soul to China.
The Sichuan cuisine is delicious.
A very good restaurant with very good service. The pickled fish, pig intestines and shredded potatoes are all very delicious. There is also the oldest custom in Chinese restaurants, the price is cheap, it is recommended to tip more, highly recommended!
I do my food meditations here. OM om nom nom. Excellent food for as long as I can remember. Gluten-free options. Great for dine in family events as well as take-out
Dont really know didnt stay. Wanted all three covid passes thought not right so left
Its a pretty good Chinese restaurant, with decent service, reasonable prices, and fresh ingredients. My family likes Sichuan food thats not too spicy.
Super amazing people. Been eating here for years. The other day I forgot my wallet here and they scoured the internet leaving messages for me on FB and insta to find me. Truly amazing people.
Worst ever. Ordered a spicy beef noodle soup. Oily soup had 3 tiny slices of beef and a gallon of oily soup and cabbage. For $20 including 10%tip. Tasted like sewer water
Food okay, room temp cold, food got cold really fast. Many people not wearing masks in or out. AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT NO FORTUNE COOKIES. They say their suppliers machine broke down so they cant get them. UNBELIEVABLE
The food is delicious, the place is clean, the service is very good, the boss is very enthusiastic, best Chinese food in kamloops
Very good food, and amazing service.
great! ! !
Awesome!
It is really good everything is high quality and high standard
An authentic Chinese restaurant that offers some REAL CHINESE dishes for Canadian Chinese. We know what is good Chinese food. Trust me, try other dishes out of your comfort zone, chicken chow mien is good but you deserve something better.
So YUMMY!! Clean, fast and friendly environment .I will be back again.
best Chinese within 200 km
What you would expect from asian food.
Average fare decent prices
Decent quality, lots of variety, clean. Always a good choice for chinese cuisine thats been Canadianized. Service was excellent.
Great smorg, super friendly service
Gross. I have never seen such a piss poor buffet, lack of selection, and the flavor of the food is seriously lacking. They even messed up on plain chicken wings
Excellent food and friendly staff. Love the lunch buffet we had.
The wor wonton is massive here! Always a favorite with my family!
Extremely fast, fresh and delicious Sunday night delivery. Thank you; Joe, Joanne and Kevin.
Its been my go to Chinese restaurant in Kamloops! The most delicious and cheapest buffet in town, and they also has authentic Chinese cuisine. Yummm
One of the best places to eat in Kamloops. The menu is authentic, friendly service, and honestly you cant beat these prices. During the covid-19 their take out service was just brilliant!
Delicious! Great service. Our go-to for takeout.
Shanghai Mandarin sets the bar high for the best takeout Chinese Food in Kamloops. Food quality/tastes are amazing, and quantities are plentiful. Im happy to see my favorite place following Covid health safety standards for their customers & themselves... Thank you Shanghai owners for being consistently awesome over the years & best wishes for a safe and strong future.
Best in Kamloops
The best f-ing place in town! Been going here for 25 years and now l live out of town. When l have a day planned for Kamloops you can be sure this is on my to stop at list. Chicken fried rice is to die for! And the lettuce wraps... oh my god the lettuce wraps!!!!!
Best place in town absolutely love love the food
The Szechuan vermicelli noodles are still the best!
Dish is big, taste is good, will come again.
Shanghai service was very good. They did make a mistake on the order and corrected this.
Very good noodles and Chinese flavouring and large portions. Good service.
First time hitting up this buffet for lunch. The food was fresh and tasty. Great selection. Reasonably priced. Ill be back again.
Good food. Lots of food in the portions =) wasnt a fan of their dry garlic pork. Everything else was great
Great food. Service with a smile.
First time visit, amazing food & excellent service.
Really good! Delicious food!
Great food!
Great food, good portions
I passed by this place and wanted to eat Chinese food, and I found this restaurant. The taste is authentic and delicious, the portion is large, and the price is reasonable. I was overjoyed!
Great nice staff
Good food. Nice quiet atmosphere. Quick service too.
Good food
Dining at this Chinese restaurant is full of surprises: the service staff are warm and friendly and can really recommend suitable dishes; the ingredients feel very fresh, the dishes look good and the taste is authentic! It was the best one among the many Chinese restaurants we tried in Kamloops during the week highly recommended!
So so
Best Chinese food in town. Have been going here since 1993 and its still as good. The whole family loves the food here
Food was amazing, definitely will be going back again.
The food is just awesome & lots of free parking
Their lunch buffet is the best in town...wings are pretty good
A decent place to eat
Currently the best Chinese restaurant in this city, the most delicious hometown flavor. Both Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine are very authentic. We recommend the saliva chicken and Sichuan style beef show.
Fantastic
We had a good time here! Food was amazing and the staff were super friendly! Will definitely be back
Very AWESOME food. Love it
Food is very good
Greasy
Not a fan of their lunch buffet
Great Lunch Buffet
This is the worst restaurant I have ever ate .the soup have no flavor the dishes flavor are really strange
Great! Waitress was top notch!
Their food is generally good if you dine there, but when you order take out, for some reason the quality of the food plummets to barely one star. It s happened several times now so we ve just given up trying to order take out from this place. Also, never ever order the Foo Yong - it s a gross, wet, gloppy oily mess. Third time now so it wasn t just an off day. We ve given up on those too. Staff are great and service is excellent.
Terrible. Worst money I ve ever spent
great food
Ordered Chinese food last night ordered beef fried rice and could not find any beef in it and tasteless also ordered sweet and sour pork which they forgot to bring and very small portions for the price . Will never order from them again .
Love it sizzling hot chicken chowmein teppan
This is one of the only places I order Chinese food from because their food is amazing... But for the first time today one of our dishes had a Rock in it! Not a little rock but a 3/4 rock in it. How this got into our food, I cant even guess. I understand kind of if it were hidden in the vegetables, like a grain of sand but not a 3/4 rock!
Do not recommend. Food was not good. Chow Mein was noodles with onions. Lemon chicken was so thin (more breading than meat). Sliced Beef has a beautiful picture of beef and broccoli but turned out to be beef and onion/green peppers. Sweet and sour pork with pineapple had 2 tiny chunks of pineapple. Too bad.
Great House Special Chowmein.
Polite and quick service, great food. Their sihuan is worth trying
Good and fast delivery!
Great food. Good service.
Always fresh lunch buffet
The food is very fresh and tastes delicious! Boiled fish, saliva chicken and carrot cake are super delicious supper yummy
Good food. Good service. Love the coffee too. Will come back .
The food is very fresh and tastes delicious!
Food was okay and noodles were great
Best Chinese food in Kamloops
Food okay. Convenient.
Salty food
Good food nice atmosphere
Delicious
Excellent hot food and service.
Food was good large portions and friendly service.
I am a full blooded Chinese, havent eaten such nasty Chinese food for a long time. Everything is coated with soy sauce, except the egg rolls which were cooked in staled oil. The cook here need to go to a cooking school to learn how to cook Chinese food the right way.
Delivery was at a decent time. But my friends card was decliend and he got frusterated at his card not the driver. And the driver left with the food and didnt even give a chace to get more money. And we tried to call and make another order and they said they had complaints about the driver a lot. Then refused our business. They said my friend was rude and wont come back. And He is never rude. They also said the driver is related to the boss. Like why does that matter? Definatly not ordering from there again!
So we ordered food from here and because the card didnt work the guy got mad started swearing and took off before we couldnt get money to pay for it and when we called to complain the manager she was very rude and started getting mad at me and sed their not doing to deliver here
Took a little while to get our food but its was really good!
The food tastes great and the portions are large. The meal is served very quickly. Our family ordered four dishes and we were very full. The lady boss is very nice and enthusiastic. We will definitely come back next time
Quick excellent service and delicous food every time
Excellence sevice and good food! This is the only Chinese restaurant in town I can find the real Chinese taste. The food are fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!
Great food and very clean restaurant.
As a Sichuanese, I think pickled fish, boiled beef, and saliva chicken are quite good. The price is fair and the service is good. Overall, I am very satisfied. A very satisfying lunch on the way back to Vancouver from Jasper!
Ya, expensive and not very good. Ordered a $18 prawn dish that only had 10 small shrimp, a few peppers onions and noodles. Wont be going back
Very disapointed. All dough on prawns. Almond chicken doughy. Will never go back.
Good food
Decent food selection. Excellent chicken wings.
Staff is friendly and very helpful. They go the extra effort for special diets and orders. One of my favorite places to eat in kamlooops.
