We went there after looking at the reviews. Prices are very more high than expected and food quality is very bad.

Papadums, chick peas, proper basmati rice,chicken curry, all spot on. Highly recommend eating here. Well priced easy parking

Out of all the Indian options in Kamloops, Koh-I-Noor is my family s favourite! They also do Nepalese food that will not disappoint! Don t let the exterior property turn you away! This place is a hidden gem. Lovely chalet interior, fast and friendly service and the food is exceptional. Lunch buffet Mon-Fri and dinner buffet Sunday evenings. The food is indescribably good. Everything is so flavourful, tender and comforting. My family loves the korma dishes. Try their Nepalese food! We took a chance on the Momos the other night and they were delicious! We come here way too often. You should too. Five stars.

The Buffet is not worth its over priced. Food taste extremely old and very tainted. Chicken curry is absolutely water down and looks like heated every day same curry. Dont go to Buffet or else you are wasting your money. Building is very out dated needs major renovation.

We used to come here and enjoy fabulous food and the great view. While the latter hasnt changed the food quality has dramatically declined. We popped by for their lunch buffet. All dishes were bland and disappointing. The best was the bread. With the surrounding motel having become derelict the atmosphere is very depressing. This place is unfortunately no longer an option for us...

The food was great. You could choose the level of spiciness. One thing to note here is that it is very sharp. My wife ordered medium and couldnt eat it even though she can eat spicy. I ordered 9 out of 10 spicy and it was right . Just right for me. From the outside, my first impression would have been to keep driving. Dont be put off by the fact that the food is great.

Fish tikka was just average. Chicken and beef biriyani both disaster, meat was hard seemed like just of the freezer. Good patio but quality of food need significant improvement.

Probably one of the best Indian meals we have had for a very long time. Each dish was distinctly different and full of flavours. The service was especially welcoming, friendly and helpful. Good choices and average pricing. Lovely views from the lower part of the restaurant. The surrounding properties do nothing to enhance the experience but once inside the ambience is encouraging. Dont hesitate to visit.

The best place to have chicken momos. On top of that they have halal options. Their tandoori chicken also tastes good. The owner is very nice and friendly.

We visited the special Sunday Dinner Buffet at 5pm in March. The staff were very friendly, observant and attentive. The buffet was good although didn t pack quite the flavourful punch of other same name items from other Indian restaurants in the city. The pakora and calamari and pappadum were nice and crispy. The samosas were stuffed and yummy. Naan was delicious. Sad to see no paneer dishes! The chana masala was very watery and the vegetable korma needed lots more flavour and seasoning as did the curried vegetables. The curried vegetables were very very oily. I wish the tamarind chutney had been less liquidy and there had been a mint or mango chutney as well. My husband enjoyed the chicken dishes and said the rice pudding was the best he ever had! I would return but I would order off the menu next time and try some of the Nepalese items and Indian dishes with paneer and prawns. Vegetarian options: Lots!! Parking: Watch your step, lots of broken asphalt

I go there every couple of weeks with my cousins or my friends and it just is so quiet amazing food amazing service I love to talk with the Waitresses theyre so kind and nice they understand and just help you with anything their food was quite fantastic I got the butter chicken and cheese Nan which let me just say the cheese man was just amazing I loved it is quiet so I was able to think in my own spot it wasnt disturbing they had a little bit background music but just amazing I recommend doing work there it was very clean and neat too

Went for the lunch buffet. Not as many choices as other buffets (3 veg and 3 non veg). Price was reasonable. Food was good. Includes naan, no drinks. Waitress was nice. 1 dessert option and only 1 chutney option.

The food was delicious and the service extra-friendly. Our group of three shared Koh-i-noor Shahi Korma (so rich and tasty), chicken Chow Chow (ordered medium and it had a nice kick), and garlic naan. Which was plenty for three. Id definitely go back if I wasnt just passing through for a night.

Truly special Indian food. Had the Chicken Vindaloo (medium heat), Paneer (medium), Garlic Naan and Rice and can say that the quality was absolutely top notch. I was blown away. Note: Medium was on the Medium-Hot side, which was perfect for me, but you may want to adjust accordingly. The establishment exterior isnt fancy and I wasnt expecting much, but the interior was tidy, service was great and entire experience stellar. (So good that I am writing this review AT the table, which I do NOT do.) If in Kamloops, do yourself a favor and give this gem a go.

The good was really good.

I was driving to Ashcroft and passing by the Kamloops; while the darkness crawled into the dusky sky, a familiar craving for a spicy Indo-Nepalese dinner ignited within me. I parked my vehicle on the side, took my phone out to explore the best cuisine in the town. Thats when I discovered Koh-I-Noor Indian Restaurant... ...Steam Chicken Momo and Bhutan ko Masu is the one I tried and was simply the best. Cooked to a degree of perfection! As the name Kohinoor suggests, it is really the diamond located in the heart of hillsides of Kamloops. Will definitely eat there again, if Im visiting nearby.

Best Indian food I have ever had. The chicken tikka masala was to die for. Delicious naan bread. I also ordered the steamed chicken momo and beef samosa app. Both were very good. The samosas were very crispy but not greasy. All of this for $48 after taxes. Bigger portions than I have had at a lot of other Indian restaurants. I still have enough left over for two more meals. 10/10 will return. Oh and the lady that took my order and passed it off to me at the restaurant was extremely polite and friendly!!

We ordered four curries, they all taste same, look same like literally in one sauce they made it all. I specially told them pls don t make it sweet, still, it was very sweet. Wastage of money. Last time they gave us raw naan. This time horrible food. Never ever recommend to anyone. It s a shame to called them a Indian restaurant, you should go and learn first how to make authentic Indian food. Costco butter chicken sauce tastes Better then their food. They even didn t deserve a single star too.

On a road trip to Vancouver, we stopped at Kamloops and decided to have dinner in this restaurant. They served us one of the best juicy chicken momos we ever had, delicious chicken biryani and refreshing mango lassi. Not to forget our server ( Prava, if I remember correctly) was very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

I was returning to Calgary after Road Trip to USA. Had Lunch Buffet with family. Buffet had lot of options for Vege and Meat loving people. We were Vegetarian and all the Vege dishes were so good with Fresh butter Naan. Owner is fantastic Lady. Will recommend this and will eat there if I am in Kamloops again. Price is very reasonable.!

Absolutely the worst Indian restaurant I ve been to!! I m Indian and cook Indian food but this was horrible! The buffet is disgusting old reheated and watered down food! Literally no salt or spices in anything! I had to ask for salt and pepper in an Indian restaurant! I got the buffet and we had to order raita separately and pay for it! There was no dessert although it was advertised as included in the price! Chicken curry and butter chicken were the worst I ve ever had! The aloo gobi looked nice but old deep fried potatoes and no seasoning! The vegetable korma was bland and old tasting. The chana mAsala was like a watery soup you would get in hospital! Save your money and go somewhere else!

After a long drive from Calgary, we had a lot of trouble trying to find a good place to eat dinner. When we came across this specific restaurant on our search for dinner, we did not hesitate to come quickly. We were immediately greeted by a great server and we were presented with a wide range of food on the menu. Our main focus was based towards the Nepalese food since my parents and myself are Nepali. The momos were very delicious and appetizing, and it left a great aftertaste too. The Indian cuisine is just as great too, with the karahi paneer and garlic naan being exceptional. Although you may come for the Indian food here, I highly suggest the Nepali food as it is just as amazing.

I ve tried quite a few Indian restaurants in Kamloops and this is by far my favourite. I ve never had a negative experience with dine in or take out. They always exceed my expectations and the food is just incredible. I also find the price reasonable which is a bonus.

Indisputably, this was one the best tasting Indian and Nepali food that we ve had in a long time. We were just passing through Kamloops. We were craving for Indian food and got here ~ 30 mins before they opened. They still let us in and served us their delicious food. We tried fish masala and chilli chicken curry. They both were amazing. For us the winner was their steam cooked momos. We will definitely stop by here the next time we are passing by.

Good food and even better view. We ordered Dal Basanti (Chana Daal) and boy it was so good, rotis surprisingly werent made of Maida which is a good thing, my friends ordered mutton and it was good as well. A very good experience.

5+ Stars! We stopped by this restaurant travelling to Vancouver via Kamloops. Despite the very bleak surroundings, this restaurant was incredible! The staff was extremely friendly, polite and attentive. We were the only ones eating in, however there was a non-stop line of traffic getting take out. We had the butter chicken, mango chicken and chana masala with garlic naan, veggie pakora & beef/veggie samosas. Every single item was full of flavour, piping hot and served in a nicely presented way. I highly recommend this restaurant & thank them for the fantastic service!

Im not sure what it was about this place, the decrepit motel around it? Or the fact that they couldnt do a simple vegetable pakora. I did the lunch buffet, and the batter on the pakora doesnt make sense? It was almost like a stale tempura batter. The butter sauce had to be most boring and bland sauce. The korma had an excess of ghee. Maybe the dinner buffet is better? Maybe the menu is better? Im not sure why this restaurant is as highly rated as it is. It doesnt deserve to be. The curry beef was better than I expected it to be, but I was surprised to find it. A few bright spots though, the rice pudding? Delicious. The staff was extremely friendly, and were quick with the water and to clear the plates! Parking: Its in the middle of a closed motel, parking galore.
