The Raj Indian Kitchen in Kamloops

Pretty tasty foods, no customers when I arrived so it was made in under 20 minutes, so they just reheated the previous day(s?)) prepared items.

ate aloo paranthas today morning .really loved them. The food was absolutely amazing and Sashi provided us with the excellent customer service:))

The food here is great but the prices are a lot more than it should be. Often makes it hard to order here since other places offer the same food for much cheaper

We all had vegetarian curries and aloo paratha which were all delicious. Clearly home cooked. Lovely service too.

I had takeout. Food was right on time. Lamb curry was excellent. Meat was tender. Sauce was great to dip naan in. Spice level was exactly what I asked for. Garlic naan was a perfect mix of crisp, chewy, and garlicky. Large portions.

This is very tasty food, full of flavor. Good size portions. Cant wait to order again from them. Or even try dinning in next time. Delicious food.

Great food but portion sizes are smaller than before. This is our favourite Indian restaurant the food is always great. I have noticed the portion sizes have become a lot smaller and the amount of meat in the dishes is a lot less than before which was a bit disappointing . The staff is amazing and very helpful they only do take out and because we ordered so much food the man working walked me to my vehicle and helped me carry our food across the street to my car. This is the first time I have ever had someone be kind enough to help me bring my food to my car. This would have been a 5 star review if the portions were a bit bigger. Other than that i can t complain and I will go back there again the food is tasty

Best Indian food in town!

I ordered CHICKEN MALAI TIKKA last night which turns to be a horrible experience. -Absoulutely tasteless, dry and rubbery as theyre using chicken breast instead of thigh which would have made it much juicier and cost effective. - The layer of malai/ cream was hardly there and lack of seasoning made it total bland - I was also disappointed with price to quantity ratio too. I mean 22 bucks for 7-8 dry tasteless chicken breast cubes wasnt worth paying at all.

Flavors here are absolutely the best in our opinion. Everything we ve ordered has been delicious. We always order enough for leftover lunch so our $/serving is quite reasonable. Food is awesome. Service great. Ambience / bathrooms - well, could be improved.

Ridiculous price tag with low quality and quantity. Got food on Skip the Dishes, except food is being hot, food(Chicken Fried Rice) is completely worst taste and quantity $23 for nothing Not at all Recommended.

Its my favorite Indian food in town. I think its slightly westernized but Im okay with that lol. They understand when I order no spice or baby spice :) Parking: I tend to bring my partner along so I dont pay for parking and park in the large parking lot across the street (beside the library).

We ordered from the Raj for the first time on skip the dishes. The food came piping hot, and tested absolutely delicious. I have to say one of our favorite now in Kamloops. Very highly recommended.

The was our first visit to this restaurant and the food was amazing!! We ordered the Garlic naan and two vegetarian curries and from the first bite it was beyond our expectations. The people were really nice as well. I look forward to coming here again when I m in Kamloops!

Ordered paneer chilly and gobi Manchurian it turned out to be the worst paneer chilly ever in my life all the recipe Is so messed up that it looks like a gravy then a starter seeing the ratings though of ordering it but it s not worth it for the price or the taste

So far the best Chicken 65, Chicken Biryani, and Lamb Biryani in Kamloops. Decent portion size, and delicious food. Highly recommended.

Great Indian restaurant in Kamloops city. Restaurant is in downtown and has both indoor and outdoor tables. Staffs are friendly and helpful in identifying preferences and taking care to beat your expectations. Since there s not much Indian restaurants in around Kamloops-Williams lake-Quesnel area, this is to-go place for someone to taste typical Indian foods.

I had worst experience, the food was not that good, over pricing, the naans was so hard to chew and for tandoori chicken we get more bones than chicken. I told then before ordering the food that please make sure the naans are not burnt and soft and easy to chew and make better food. Moreover, it was a birthday dinner and we felt horrible and was regretting why we order food from them. They don t even deserve one star, its just waste of money and time and upsetting your mood.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We ordered 2 orders of butter chicken, both had chicken that tasted a week old, not even edible to chew. We ended up throwing them out and contacting the restaurant about it and they just said we didnt get any other complaints tonight and left it at that. Didnt offer to help in any way, just sent out food that was absolutely disgusting and expected us to eat our $70 bill. This place is a total joke!

Bad taste, poor customer service, they dont let you pick your own food from the buffet takeout, but you get charged the same, dont understand the logic about it. Not enough varieties, bland taste. Please try Spice instead or Kohinoor or Flavors of India. This place is so bad in so many ways....

Really good food! We have visited the restaurant around a year back and now in Feb 2020, both the times the food taste was good and the customer service is awesome!!

Used to be a very big fan but they have done away with their lunch buffet and their portions have gotten smaller. For $16 it comes with a small portion of rice and an okay size of meat and sauce. No one was taking home leftovers when I was there anymore. Flavour wise it s still tasty, but the lack of value makes me prefer to go elsewhere.

They don t like the customers to keep the menu for some time.I think thats weird we are not going to take the menu home.

I haven t been to an Indian restaurant in a long while and the last restaurant I went to was a buffet style restaurant - where I found the dishes to be Luke warm at best. For me the sign of a good restaurant is that the food comes out piping hot and on this note the Raj Indian Kitchen delivered in spades - I was so happy I ordered two dishes and some garlic Naan - I was asked what level of spice I wanted - from 1-5 (initially I said 7) so I took a 4 The food had a great kick and was delicious. I thought I was a big eater but I had to pack for the next day and it was equally exquisite So I have moved on to another city and am looking for supper but I remembered my excellent experience in Kamloops and felt compelled to write. If I was living there I would become a regular - Thanks

We had dinner at The Raj Indian Kitchen while visiting Kamloops and highly recommend it. Great service and the food was excellent, we especially enjoyed the vegetable pakoras and samosas. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

I am really disappointed from raj kitchen. We have ordered butter chicken, paneer, some naans. It was terrible food, boring dressing, naan looks made by rotten dough.I feel shame front of my friends, i learnt,whenever i would come to kamloops again i would never ordered from raj kitchen.

Absolutely delicious food we were delighted by the rich, flavourful, savoury curries, served with rice. The house Lamb Curry was excellent and Ill be ordering it again. The staff were friendly and sufficiently attentive and the wait time was reasonable. They have a chai tea thats makes for a nice little dessert and the garlic naan was a good side choice. We left completely satisfied.

Over priced and small quantity

Will DEFINITELY be back! Amazingly good food. We had the Jhinga Masala and Butter Chicken, and I had chai and garlic naan, my husband had mango lassi. My husband has Celiac disease and they were happy to accommodate, letting us know the things that were gluten free (which was almost everything). The food was absolutely incredible, perfect amount of spice (medium), and good portion sizes. Our server, Sasi, was so polite and happy to help. Food was fast and reasonably priced. The interior of the restaurant was quite nice!

Feels very much like a family owned restaurant. Quite casual. Menu has a good variety of options and the food is very tasty. Kamloops has several good Indian restaurants now... and you cant really go wrong with any of them, but well be back to the Raj again for sure.
