Last 2 weeks I have been ordering foods from them. I tried their lamb and fish. I find them very tasty and I must say their quantity of food is the best in kamloops. I wish they had more halal options other than just lamb. Highly recommend for good food.
No doubt the best place for proper and typical Indian food! The butter chicken is so flavorful, I would work there only to learn the recipe! Best best best!! Coming here again. And also the owner is such a humble person.
Oh my goodness!! The best Indian food I have ever had. The service is great, the food is great. The tastes feel authentic and full of spice! My partner and I enjoyed the Mushroom Masala - the mushrooms were cooked to perfection. The fish Pakora was to die for-perfectly cooked and well done crispy!
It's really good. Just the perfect amount of spice and seasoning. Everything I ordered was perfect and tasted amazing
Worst food I have ever had in any restaurant. The tandoori chicken was rare. The raitha tasted like expired. The lamb meat smelt like rotten. I would never recommend anyone to go there
The chef is awesome and amazing. Probably best Indian restaurant in town. It serves authentic Indian food. Menu is wide spread with vegetarian options as well .
Very good Indian food in downtown Kamloops . Tried butter naans freshly baked in coal oven with delicately cooked butter chicken and dal makhani. The chef was nice to have come out n ask us if everything was okay . Server was nice too Truly Indian vyanjan.
The food is really good. The servers are great. The place is open later than other Indian places, so that's a plus. I ate here almost every night for over a month last year. The owner can work on their cx service. The staff is great though.
Ordered the butter chicken and lamb biryani. Definitely will be ordering again. Both dishes so flavourful.
Delicious food! Very nice staff, and good prices! Can t wait to order from them again!!
I ordered Goan curry- chicken and samosa. What i recieved- amazingly prepared Goan curry which was on point and couldnt have been better, 2 samosas with 2 chutneys which seemed like they were made inhouse and the samosas were freshly made. Requested them to send onions and they went an extra mile. I must say its totally worth it. Cheers to the team. You got a new customer today.
Top notch food here. The staff are very friendly too.
Best north Indian cuisine in the city with decent price
love the quiet atmosphere and the food is out of this world
Visit restaurant in given hours but door was closed
Very good food
FALSE TASTE OF DAL MAKHANI. I called this guy that ur dal is tasting false as if it s cooked dayss before. HIS REPLY- I have tasted it s little bit false not much manageable to eat( seriously? Am I paying for little bit false taste or fresh daal ? Also guys he said come to restaurant I will change it.we went to his restaurant leaving our dinner in between. I clearly told him I am coming.he replied ok come. Within 10mins I reached. that is 9.15 pm . He clearly told me ok come and RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED AND HE DIDNT ANSWER CALL EVEN ONCE . I left a voicemail too. Can u imagine how mean this guy can be.?? From whom he is earning (the customer) dodging customer only. No courtesy of calling back saying sorry or paying back.Nothing. We were on holiday and stayed for a night .didn t want to waste my next day morning with such mean person for the sake of small amount of money. The karma comes back Mr. What u think what you have done will you be spared by the Almighty. NO
The mango chicken is fire!
bad taste
Love Indian Food and Kamloops has a great selection of places to go. We placed an order for 4 and it arrived with 1/cup of rice. Go to Flavors of India or Koh-I-Noor if you are looking for proper serving sizes. Going to say that it is unfortunate the rice portion lowered the score. Flavors were really great. 3-4 stars if the portion sizing for the rice would have been appropriate.
Small small portions for the money you pay. They also completely forgot my chicken samosas for my delivery (Feb 24)
I ordered the mixed tandoori platter and rice for takeout. Unfortunately, the mixed tandoori platter was full of gravy. Tandoori meat is supposed to be dry and juicy! If I wanted gravy, I would have ordered something else! Moreover, I had to throw the chicken drumstick away because it had a very weird smell (especially of rotten meat that has been cooked by the chef). Altogether, the food was not tasty and certainly not worth the price. I have been to many Indian restaurants, but this one was one of the worst. Sorry, but you earned only 1 star .
Very poor food. The chicken was undercooked and tasted bad
I liked the food ! I also found the staff to be quite pleasant. The mint chutney had a surprise kick to it and is the best I have ever tasted. It is fun for me to try indian food from different regions. I had dal makhani, roti, raita, and the onion appetizer. Good food, pleasant staff.
Nice restaurant located in downtown Kamloops. Tried the butter chicken and thought it was good. Look forward to trying other menu items.
We tried their Chicken, and Lamb Biryani, and we were so disappointed. The worst biryani in Kamloops. They were just coloured, flavourless rice with a few meat pieces. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent food
I m giving it a 5/5 because this restaurant should have a better rating. The floors could have been cleaner, but when the food was that quick, and probably the best we ve had in a long time, I m really not concerned about the floors. Tastes very authentic. It s weird to see people say otherwise. Staff seemed very pleasant.
Best Indian food
The food was delicious, the service was very friendly. And the price is absolutely justified for the amount of food. If you are in Kamloops and want to eat inexpensively and well by Canadian standards, then here. Even if the decoration of the restaurant is a bit special. ;-)
Worst lamb biryani ever had. It was tasteless, too much watery. Asked for medium spicy but it was not at all spicy.Tired for the first time but will never order again from this place
Good
Best Indian restaurant in town!! Never disappoints, food is always amazing and exceptional costumer service.
Excellent!!!
Iv been here with a group anf had a variety and iv been there to grab pakoras to go, km always happy with the taste and quality.
Ordered take out and everything was fantastic!
Ordered Kadhai paneer, instead of kadhai paneer being spicy it was sweet. Called the restaurant and told them it was not India spicy he started arguing with me. I won t recommend anyone for this place as they don t provide the service that is promised and Kamloops have many better Indian Restaurants which provides better food and service at same price.
A good place to taste Indian cuisine. It locates in a busy locality of Kamloop. The taste of Indian foods varies due to the difference between states. The butter chicken of Delhi is not like the butter chicken of Calcutta. The taste of Vyajan is authentic to its slight east Indian origin. Two demerits - the washrooms are small and furnishing is not good. The staff is friendly.
The chef is master of his craft. I love this place.
We walked here on a really hot day to find out that it s closed! Update your timings on google.
Good food and good prices too. The little boy gave us best service I forgot his name. But you are the best guys. Thank you
The food here is amazing, I tried many of the curries and they were all delicious! The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. I would highly recommend this place.
Excellent
Went there last week, just a normal food ,just okay
Garbage Food. Rude behavior of the staff. Owner is horrendous. These guys serve SPICY FOOD. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.
Really disappointed by the meal ordered through doordash. Makhani Dal was flavorless. The Veg pakoras were burned to a crisp. Veg Samosa was large and crisp, but again, no spice flavour to them. I love Indian food and this was an expensive let down. A lot of the leftovers went into the garbage.
Butter chicken was sub par. Pakora way too dry. Wouldnt recommend for the price. Friendly staff, very slow business.
Authentic Indian Food and great ambience.Quality of food was excellent and service level here is very high.
Awesome service, authentic Indian food and good price. All food is made fresh, especially samosas they are delicious.
If you are ordering a vegetarian dish, you have to order rice as well, as they said that they are priced lower than meat dishes?????
Most Delicious
Great Naan !! Loved It
Got really low quantity of 2 lamb and 2 chicken biriyani. When I opened my takeout box after reaching my room it was really disappointing.
I payed $81 for 4 biryani and the quantity was really bad. Had a very bad experience. Would never visit again...and will always tell people not to visit this restaurant. U ll only be successful if you provide value for money...
Bad experience
Very low quantity in chicken biriyani. I used to like it a lot. Service was great before. But last time they did not give a good service. I do not want to go back. Lost a regular customer.
We were 3 families out to explore kamploops last week and ate at Vyanjans for 1 evening. Food was horrible, Rice was sticky, We ordered veg and non veg items and had to return 1 bhindi masala. They also tried to fudge the billing at the end. INcluded Bhindi Masala and then removed it when i noticed. they DEMANDED the tip and said it was their policy to add 15% to large groups. They didnt mention it anywhere on their menu cards. One of us had severe stomach pains that night from the uncooked food we had there. Finally, the owner was argumentative when we refused to pay the tip. Overall, very negative experience.
I have tried so many Indian restaurants in North America. This topped the list of worst restaurants. Food was very bad, they didnt even had fresh rice. We were three families and most of us all got sick next morning. This was on Aug 11th.
The food was awesome and customer service was great.good portion sizes.
Great food. Nice place.
Ordered delivery for a Butter Chicken and 1 naan late on a Sunday. When my order arrived I was pleasantly surprised that there were some free add-ons! Very impressed with the service and the food tasted great!
There are MANY better choices in town... Normally go to Spice but gave this place a try and it was NOT worth it. Saturday 6pm the place was dead empty and about 18 degrees inside. Main currys were not bad but did NOT come with rice, and with $15.99 mains and SIX DOLLARS for each rice, its a horrendous value. Not to mention the rice tasted like it was 2 days old and I guarantee had tossed in the microwave for 15 seconds before being brought out to us. At nearly $70 for two vegetarian currys, 2 rice, 1 naan, and one glass of wine, almost anywhere else in town is a better value.
The food was amazing and fresh, service was stellar and the speed of the food and friendliness was excellent!
Great food.
Wanted to give zero star, but then wouldn t be able to post the review! Worst food quality!!!! Gordon Ramsay would hang himself if he had to taste this food ever!!
I wish there was an option for negative stars or something. First things first their service is the worst I have ever experienced. Nobody knows how to take calls or orders. Moreover, this is probably the 4th and the last time I gave this place a shot and the food served was always stale. This time both me and my girlfriend got Food poisoning. The owner of this restaurant has another restaurant called Zayka, here in kamloops, and its the same story there. I would rather eat at Mcdonalds or Tim Hortons but never go back to either of these restaurants. Dont waste your time or money. Honestly, any other restaurant is better than these. Never going back here again !!
Went to this place a couple months ago for lunch. Me and my girlfriend were looking to go to another place but it turned out to be closed. My car was parked out front of that place so we decided to go in and check it out. This place is seriously so good! The chef is a super nice man and a great cook. We came back a couple weeks later and it was super good food once again. Any bad reviews should be ignored for this place is a hidden gem. I have told many people about it!
Service was excellent the waitresses are so kind. They take time to talk to you, and the food was excellent. Thank you
Exceptional food and service. My partner always orders his meal very hot and I always order very mild, but we both agree our meals are delicious! Good vegetarian options and kid friendly.
Awesome food. Nice ambience. I had papdi chaat and veg samosas today. Its yummy and tasty and made my tummy full. I also tried mix platter and its so tasty and mouthwatering. Just loved it and would recommend everyone.
Delicious
Traditional food for sure. Mild is still pretty wild! Food takes some time to be served but is well worth the wait. Tandoori prawns are phenomenal!
The food is good and tasty.
Really enjoyed the food here, highly recommended
Nice
Went to have tea and bhajiya with my wife but was forced to order a main course or else they can t serve us. Visited another nearby restaurant and got the snacks.
Very good food & great service today. We even talked to the kitchen staff and got some great advice for our next visit. We will be back
This place is ok. As I and my friend were new to kamloops, thought to give this restaurant a try. I have ordered chicken biriyani and my friend ordered lamb biriyani and it sucks. Im an Indian and I know how its made. It is no where near to it. Ive never seen a biriyani that wet and having a curry/gravy. Biriyani is supposed to be dry. What I felt was that the cook just mixed the rice and chicken curry and added some oninons on top of it. If you are not an Indian and think what they serve is biriyani, Im sorry for you. And being an Indian if you think its a biriyani, god you are pathetic in your taste for biryani.
Ordered food from them based on google reviews. Bought Chicken Biryani. We were overjoyed with the taste and portion size. Had a full tummy on our journey from Vancouver to Calgary.
Absolutely stellar service. Gave us explanations of the different ingredients and the region of the dishes. Also tips to see the fireworks on Canada day. Ordered butter chicken, Saag Aloo, and Matar Paneer. Eat here.
Was not impressed with the food. Butter chicken was very watery and had no flavour to it. Fish pakoras were very dry. Some chutney or lemon juice would have helped. Naans were burned. Worth trying but never again.
I had a very bad expirience here today, the food was not that great for the amount I paid, and the customer service was really poor.
One star coz can not give 0 , totally laid back attitude , extremely slow service , bad ambience, the owner I think loves to ignore its customers. The food is below average , a basic dish like chat papdi was served without chopped onions in it , had a thali and was served with black dal while the menu says dal tadka , the coock has no idea or wants to finish what ever they have already made, the chicken biryani was just masala rice with chicken pieces not Biryani, over and above they are cheap enough to charge for one packing container, take my word stay hungry but dont visit this place.
Good food
Before going to this restaurant we read its reviews on Yelp and only 11 people had reviewed it and the rating was 4.5 stars. When we saw the restaurant from outside, there was no ways we were going for it and had already started doubting those 11 reviews. However, we were taken by surprise when we had our first bite of Naan with Chicken Kadhai and Aloo Gobhi.
I ordered Vegetable Jalfrezi and Mushroom Masala. Veg Jalfrezi was more like a veg salad raw and undercooked. Mushroom Masala was more like frozen mushrooms cooked in ketchup. They did take an effort to put peppers and onions. Apart from that not satisfied at all.
Ordered the Basmati Rice Pulao a very basic dish.. that too wasnt what the description said. When asked the waitress she was ready to jump me! Simple things like Ginger Ale were forgotten & had to be reminded.. Biryani, which wasnt even close to the real dish, was stale .. utter disappointment. Would not recommend.
ordered some kulchas for starter, chef came out asking why you didnt order any curry, and left disappointed. Felt sorry for him, shouldnt be running this business. Friendly service though.
Kim Ivor Barnes
This is NOT an all you can eat restaurant as advertised. So sad
Yummy food
Food was good, but service was very sluggish.Spice or kohinoor is much better in terms of food, price and service.
Food was okay
Great food and the service was spectacular. The chef/owner made us our man bread fresh to go with our lunch, and this was with the all you can eat lunch buffet. Buffet is small but has everything one could hope to find at an Indian buffet. Cost was very reasonable. Would highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys Indian food or wants to try something new.
We placed an order to pick up. When we showed up 45 mins after the call they didnt even start our order. We waited another 30 mins for them to make it for us on the spot.
Delicious thalis, excellent naan bread and friendly service. The ambiance was enjoyable too.
Great service great Food..!!
Its an okay Indian restaurant that offers decent Indian food varieties. Food is okay and same price as every other indian restaurant in kamloops. Not something you can brag about or special.
I would give it a -5 but this is the lowest I can rate it The service is slow, the tablecloth probably hasnt been changed in years, our order was delivered at the wrong table, waited an hour for just 2 dishes. I ordered a tandoori platter and the mutton was rancid. Didnt touch anything else. I asked the server if I could speak to the chef and she didnt understand. The owner came to take payment as I guess he doesnt trust the servers to take payments? I told the owner that the mutton was off and he said its not possible. I asked if he tasted it and he didnt respond. He said your bill $48. I take only $40. You can pay and go. Told him Im not paying for that item. Never returning again to this place.
Tasty food ! Enjoyed Samosa and Pakoda! Good price and reasonable volume Real value for money
Decent food
Visited after the lunch hour rush. The front of house staff was very hospitable, the food was good, and well priced.
Best food
Good food and fast service.
Yummy and tasty food with good service
Food was tasty and people are good here. Tried the kadai chicken, liked it
Ordered some take out butter chicken and korma from this place recently. Husband got food poisoning from eating here. Not to mention the sauce was on the runny side, and their website is not good, can t even access the menu. Overly priced for terrible food. Do NOT recommend.
Good staff.... Excellent service.... Thanks
Good experience and enjoy food...
Good place and food quality is also good
Butter chicken taste awesome......... I like to visit again and suggest everyone try it once.... you will come here regular surely.
Delicious food and professional staff.........wonderful place for Indian taste. Thanks
Very poor service They never answer their phone or call back or check their mail box. Mail box is always full. What a shame!!!!! Website has no info other than pictures and buffet price. Just a joke Do not recommend this place to anyone. Very poor decoration all around. When we went there for lunch, they were fixing there fan hanging from the roof. No customer value. The guy couldnt say a word on the phone at lunch time on Sunday while ordering. He hang up and never answered the phone. Please try other options:(
Friendly good sized portions
Very Good Indian Food, very homely & clean environment. Freindly people.
This is a great authentic Indian and Nepali restaurant. Wonderful staff were very friendly and attentive. Better pricing than the other Indian places in town and the 2 person, Non-vegetarian dinner platter we got easily fed three. Will definitely be going back soon.
Terrible, Pathetic etc etc....I dont have other words to describe service, forget about food now, visited on May 18th 2017 at 6:50 PM I am writing this review at 8:00 pm still waiting for my full food to deliver, one couple already left restaurant after waiting so long, others have already felt the wrath of their service. Even my food was wrong I ordered something else and got something else. Also towards the end I got a half cooked roti which was disgusting... worst customer service ever...
Incredible food and amazing ambience Excellent all you can eat buffet. Butter chicken and naan was just exceptional. Attentive service and caring owners. For a feeling of home cooked and authentic Indian food look no further.
I ordered take out and it was good, I was traveling through town and this place was open late and conveniently located in downtown area. Lady from Nepal was friendly.
Authentic Indian Food and great ambience.Quality of food was excellent and service level was very high.
The food was heavenly - perfect Indian food that we were looking for (Chicken tikka masala, jeera aaloo, mango lassi). The manager was very nice and friendly. We ordered food ahead of our arrival as we were in a rush. Not only had she kept the food ready for us, but also she was sweet enough to provide us proper food packaging for our long journey. The place was well done too. Overall an extremely satisfactory experience. A must recommendation for anyone looking for good Indian food (dining /takeaway) in and around Kamloops.
The food was good and we were surprised at the large portion size of rice dishes.
Authentic, delicious, and nice service. Would eat again!
Great! Authentic and tasty
Fantastic food, even better service. Fast, friendly and affordable.
Best Indian food in Kamloops!! The Navrattan Korma is to die for.
We had our lunch on our way to Vancouver food was good but we had to wait longer
There is very nice food and service. Great Indian taste.
Good food, good hours, good prices.
Great food!
Amazing food!!!
Best Indian food in downtown kamloops
This place has an amazing place with super delicious food. The chef made an extra effort to make specialty dishes. We showed up here for lunch and dinner and were more than satisfied with the food and service. Love it
Awesome food, truly great taste, must visit....
Good food. Nice staff. I was travelling to Vancouver. Stay one night in Kamloops. Even 10 o clock was closing time but staff take my order and deliver.
I went for a vacation in Kamloops with my family recently and we wanted to try some Indian food and since weve heard so many good things about vyanjan,we decided to go and try it out. The service at this place is excellent, the staff there are extremely polite and welcoming. The food here tastes just amazing. Their naans are very soft and very good to eat along with all of their curries. Their butter chicken is cooked perfectly with all of the perfect ingredients and their chicken curry is just amazing! I loved my experience at this restaurant and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves Indian food! This is the place for you!
Best food i ate on my British Columbia trip. Good quality food and portion. Great customer service. Their allo pranthas, raita & lassi were yummy. Will recommend all to dine in at vyanjan if they want good quality food & time. Will visit again to try other menu items:)
Worst Service and Worst food ever. I can cook better food at home. Think 100 times to go there. Will never go there. Charged 15% tip without asking. Felt like we got robbed. Hate to give even one star. Thanks in advance for not going there.
Service was impeccable. Very friendly. Food was delicious and tasted authentic. Vegetarian options are plentiful. Rated 4 stars as Ive been around the block when it comes to Indian food and I have my go to places.
Worst food ever. Only Indian people can tell what Indian food taste like. We order Saag and they put potatoes in it. Way over priced than quality. Unfortunately, have to give one star. Suggestion to owner: Please don`t ruin Indian food.
Fantastic food, friendly service every time I go, and beautifully-redone interior. Located right downtown. I highly recommend the daal makhani and the pakora, raita and naan bread are to die for!
Great food quality, best in town, friendly staff, if you want to try some good indian food, this is place to go.
Very good just had Sundays Buffet it was fantastic
We were traveling through BC and had a one night stay in Kamloops, food was no way near to Indian standards. People who are giving 5 stars should eat food at authentic Indian restaurant in Vancouver or Calgary and then you will find difference. I should say customer service was not bad though.
Absolutely amazing and delicious food with really nice staff very friendly good delivery pretty much on time and I definitely enjoyed her very much and would recommend anyone to go there
I had the chance to take my wife here while we were in town. Brilliant! Great food, good presentation, pleasant staff. Was cold in the building, but the food totally made up for it (they did fix the heat lol). We will absolutly be back.
On my trip back to Vancouver from Calgary, I stopped at Vyanjan for lunch. Great service, (which is missing at some Indian restaurants) and delicious food. The presentation was amazing. Will definitely recommend this place.
worst food ,but customer service was great.
Please do not expect real indian dishes but can expect Indian people over there !
Excellent place to hang out in winter to get a hot air without airconditioning...... Wonder why it is posted under the name of Indian restaurants in Kamloops. ...please dont wreck the concept of Indian food....
Awesome North Indian food !!!
Delicious food and friendly service. Would recommend. I cant help but notice that all five of the one-star reviews were all posted at the same time. Thats very suspicious.
We used to go to another Indian restaurant in Kamloops but after experiencing Vyanjan will never go anywhere else. Food is second to none and the owners are very nice and friendly people too. Price is more than fair. We take out about twice a week.
What a delicious meal! We were only in Kamloops for a night and this was close to our hotel. We were amazed by the quality and flavour of the food and the warmth and attentiveness of the owners. We had vegetarian samosas, followed by Lamb Saag and Dal Turka, with rice and naan bread. All were really fabulous and among the best weve tasted anywhere in the (and we love Indian food). Highly recommended.
finest indian food in kamloops, more importantly one of the friendliest chefs in town, try the korma!!! good location downtown, one of kamloops gems.
