Wicked food and a great atmosphere

We came to this restaurant last night. One of our friend came later and he brought his drink inside by mistake. He didn t noticed and the server came told all of us are hiding the drink under the table. We explained her he came later and we can throw it in the garbage but the server told us to leave. That was so disrespectful. We always come to this restaurant, we used to love coming here all the way from kelowna. We are never going to come back here. This is so stupid that dhe blamed without proof. The servers need to be taught properly how to serve the customers. We were being respectful and apologised for our mistake but she kicked us out. This restaurant need a better servers to be honet!

I wish i could give 0 star lol. Worst place ever and servers were so RACIST and its 2024.

The night shift manager isn t polite and try to interpret a clear email in her own way. I ll attach the email they sent for birthday and they didn t apply that in our bill. It s so rude

Loved this place. From managers to our waitress, Brenda, who were all gems by the way. We were treated like regulars! First time being here and were made to feel like family. Quick with drinks and food, awesome expirience!

Fantastic service!! The bartender, Braydon, was awesome ! friendly, welcoming and great to talk to. A++. I highly recommend. The pub had great food and atmosphere. We definitely will be going back!!

Carlos OBryans is ran by absolute children. The general manager and assistant General manager are the worst. Between acting like they came straight out of high school they barely know how to manage a business. Andy gets drunk while working and Jen belittles any of the staff that she doesnt like. An coming down the line is trevor over at Kelly o Bryans who follows suit. None of these people should be allowed to run businesses and I hope the owner sees this comment Oh and ps: I never sued you, I took you to labor relations because you forged write ups and wrongfully fired me and when I tried to solve it with the grace mediation you called me every derogatory name ever spoken of and refused to give me copies of my write ups. So thank you for banning me from your restaurants for 8 years and on going.

First of all, it s so ridiculously dark could hardly read the menu haha. We ordered patchos deep fried pickles and the seafood Alfredo. The Alfredo was cold the patchos were cold and I never got the deep fried pickles. To have the seafood Alfredo on the menu for 27$ and have it be cold is absolutely insane. It shouldnt even be priced that high, it s a pub not a high end restaurant. I can go to the noble pig and get something similar for 20$ thankfully they didn t make us pay for the Alfredo.

The rooftop patio is pretty incredible with a view of the mountain range. That s definitely the best part! My server was super awkward and meek I couldn t understand a word she was saying. I only ever get pachos here, and they are only good if they are fresh and hot! These ones were meh. I wouldn t mind, if the pricing wasn t so ridiculous! $27 for chicken lips and pachos. Not sure where they get off charging that for greasy pub food. Even happy hour pricing is quite ridiculous.

Atmosphere is awesome worth going just for that and the rooftop seating Service was normal no complaints Food was so bad honestly subway would have been better. Kind of mad about that. Still worth going if you never been before Food : 2/5

Curly brown haired server was terrible and rude

Around 1 pm I went in ordered a beer and a menu. I sat at the bar and had to move as there was a large puddle of water on the bar. When I closed the menu, no one noticed and the staff was nowhere to be found. I ordered Canadian on tap and it should have tasted awesome but it didnt taste really good or really bad but I suspect the tap lines needed cleaning. The service was slow I ended up just ordering chicken wings they were great. I will blame the economy and not the restaurant but $40 before tip for wings and 2 beers is too much money for lunch. The space and decor is awesome.

We had a large birthday party of 12 and the server was excellent, some pachos came in cold which the server replaced for free, the lamb hamburger i ordered was overcooked and flavourless, it came with a Gaelic house salad only but the balsamic dressing was amazing! Would not recommend the dirty ceasar but the restrooms were close by the bar and very clean.

Good food, great house lager, good ambiance and really good service. What more do ya need?

My girlfriend and I came last minute for dinner and a drink and we were very surprised by our experience. We were greeted by Lane who gave us a very friendly greeting and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Our server, Meghan was exceptional! We were blown away by her service and hospitality truly one of the best servers I ve ever had! We had such a good experience we ended up coming back later that night and stayed there until the restaurant closed. Thank you for everyone for such a lovely night and a truly wonderful experience.

I got the beef dip and a flat bread and some of the worse food Ive ever had dry and the dip was like gravy and way too salty too the server was great

Was playing pool under traditional bar rules (winner of current game plays next person/persons that places coins on table) and some off duty employees said because they work there, bar rules don t apply and they were taking over the table. They called the manager over (their friend) and she said I was being rude and had to leave. One of the off duty employees raised their voice with profanity when I tried to explain traditional bar rules and that was very clearly the highest level of rudeness of the entire exchange between both parties. I have been coming in there for drinks and pool every Monday for a few months, but that of course will not continue.

Popped in for a pint on friday afternoon, turns out it was happy hour! Did not order food but it looked like standard pub fare.

I had a blast here last week. I was at another function and finished early so I walked up and down the strip and Kamloops. This was one of the most happening pubs around. It seemed like there was four or five levels in this place and lots of people having fun.

We stopped for an appy lunch. Pachos for two and a Carlos roll. Wonton wrapped cream cheese and crab. It was a lot of food. Servers were great.

Came here on recommendation from a friend for a birthday dinner for family and couldnt have asked for a more perfect first experience. The food, service, and atmosphere was incredible! If youre visiting from out of town and can only visit one pub, then this is the one you gotta see!

A bit overpriced for the portions, they fill more than half the plate with fries which is unnecessary. They lose a lot of the Irish themed atmosphere trying to cater to as many people as possible, the music is all wrong. More than one pool table and some dart boards would make me want to spend more time there.

***** very bad racist experience **** We had a table reserved for a birthday party. We had just sat down and ordered our first round of drinks. My friend was wearing a blouse with native artwork on it, and she went to the washroom. She passed a table of young white males and they spoke briefly about it being her birthday. Then the waitress comes over and tell us that we are kicked out because shes intoxicated and 4 tables have complained. Literally she walk to the bathroom and back to the table. We went to Kelly OBrians and had no problems at all. There is no way that 4 tables complained about someone walking to the bathroom and back. We had just had our first drink.. Complemented racist and will never go back.

Amazing food with big helpings. Food and drinks came to the table fast and hot. Had birthday dinner with happy hour. Sooooo worth it!

Chill hangout spot with a good selection of appies and drinks. The multiple levels give a variety of vibes.

Its just sad how some people treat you over the phone. Called in to book table for 15-20 people and the guy over the phone was so rude and pathetic that we felt like we are doing something wrong. As soon we hung up, we knew how this place will treat our guests. Called in the neighboring pub for the same and they were so happy to book us in.

I hate leaving restaurants bad reviews, but I cant bite my lip on this one. I ordered an OBryan bowl for pick up and I can honestly say it was the worst dish Ive ever had at any restaurant. All of the veggies, including the roasted red peppers, and the pineapple were either canned or from frozen. I dont know how you can possibly make a bowl of rice and veggies repulsive, but they found a way. And to top it off, when I got back to my hotel, I opened the bag and saw they didnt include any cutlery. Who doesnt include cutlery when you pick up an order to go? The OBryan bowl is listed as a favourite on the menu... if this is a favourite, I cant imagine what the rest of their food tastes like. Again, I hate to be a Karen and do this, but this was so, so, so bad.

Mexican/Irish name throws me off. Was a good experience. Just came in for a couple drinks. Nothing really stood out but the waitress was nice as she pretended to relate to our millennial talk. Good location downtown.

I love coming here because of the gluten free options, mind you I no longer eat any of the fried foods because Ive gotten sick from it due to cross contamination, amazing staff on most days, however I dont like being gossiped about for having adhd and being denied my rights as a paying customer makes it really hard to return as a paying customer...

Great bar and service mostly.. few servers are miserable but won t be coming back because tremendous trivia s host here ruins the fun. Always finds a reason to deduct points and makes mistakes tallying scores. If you wanna have fun go to Bailey s or Mccrackin

More geared towards the younger crowd. Food was cold and waitress was more interested in talking to her coworkers who were starting the next shift. Kelly O Bryans the sister restaurant down the street is a 5 star.

Met up with a girlfriend for dinner here, it was a really great experience! The servers were really nice, we didnt wait long for our food or drinks. We were there catching up for quite some time and I really appreciate the fact that they didnt rush us at all. This still stands!

With Carlos, its all about appies. Specifically just get the pachos. If youre feeling soup at all, their bacon broccoli is amazing.

Strange service When I arrived I went inside to ask of o could sit outside. A nice waitress said sure and brought me a menu and took my drink order. I think she works inside because I never saw her again. After about 20 minutes I grabbed a waiter s attention and explained that no one came by to take my food order. So he took it. The fish and ships looked great but was just ok . When it came time to pay, the waiter said you can either come inside or wait until I have something to do outside. After about 10 minutes he came out and said I have nothing to do outside but decided to come out While nice enough, this is my opinion is strange service. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger. Pizza. But not a lot of vegetarian options.

Reliably good food, awesome rooftop, and usually great service without huge wait times.

This place is awesomeness. Multi levels, buzzing with friendly people. Good variety of beers . Food was decent . Servers friendly and working hard to be attentive even while packed on a friday night.

Where to start... Wanted to sit rooftop, but because the staff could not see through the camera and nobody was answering the phone, we were directed to a table down by the pool table. Thats ok, if a bit odd. Noticed the majority of tables in our area were looking around for a server. Waited roughly 10-15 minutes for server to take beverage order... A little long but ok. We added in our food order off the happy hour menu since we just wanted a quick but before the hockey game. About another 10-15 minutes and our server comes back apologising that she walked away from us without writing down our order and what was it that we wanted again. Drinks arrived shortly after, still waiting on food 50 minutes after first arriving.

First time here and a great experience. Prices were as they should be.

Food and place is great. But Tj wasn t a good waiter, barely came around. I was there for over an hour and a half and he came around about MAYBE 2 times.

Sat on the roof top on my birthday, may 29th. Had the greatest, funniest, and wonderful waitress. Definitely coming back

Carlos OBryans is your basic Irish pub restaurant. The decorations are themed well and the wait staff wear traditional Irish attire. That s what I would expect. The place has a lively atmosphere with several levels of of rooms. And while we were there, the restaurant was conducting a trivia night. The food itself is just OK. I had a steak sandwich. My friends burger was fine as well. Nothing special. But nothing that wasn t basically good. Our server Haylee was very helpful and she did a fine job. I love it when dirty plates are cleared quickly, and she did a great job of that. I don t know if I will ever pass through Kamloops again, but if I do, I don t think I d eat again at Carlos O Bryans.

Feels like every time weve gone there this year the service an food has declined in quality which is a shame for its popularity and location

I came to Kamloops for sightseeing and that night I went to this restaurant and had a sweet beer and some tuna...I forget the name! I wasnt that hungry, so it was just the right amount and very delicious. I was seated at the counter, and even though I didnt understand English, I managed to place my order, and the male staff member explained it to me in an easy-to-understand manner. thank you very much.

Needed some time out space . Went to Carlos OBryans for an interesting evening . Sat outside on the rooftop . Enjoyed the ambiance and beautifully warm evening . Enjoyed very much . Had a Cheese cake and drink . Waitress was attentive even though they were very busy . Awesome

Great food and service is awesome

I ordered the famous Pachos and loved every bite: crispy waffle fries tossed in seasoning salt, loaded with cheddar and fresh green onions that I dipped into tangy Emerald Isle sauce! The service was excellent, the atmosphere was nicely dimmed for the evening and background music was playing at a comfortable level.

Amazing service and conversation with our lovely server Misty!! Food and drinks were quick to come out and all great quality.

Had a great experience until rude server with black hair questioned tip amount even considering inflation and many economic issues. Service was just about mediocre and to be pressured for more than deserved feels like a slap to the face. It is not my job to pay the waitresses salary. Maybe the boss should re-evaluate their salary so they aren t so miserable while working. Considering there was a roudy group acting like idiots and we were pinned like the bad guys. Awful service, embarrassing

We bought 5 drinks and my gf went to pay for it. She didnt realize they gave us the wrong bill. After asking for an itemized reciet, they couldnt do it nor refund us. So they got an exorbitant tip. Anyways annoying scene and ruined the drink with the gf and her parents.

We popped in the a drink and the service was great ! The drinks were refreshing and hit the spot. The restaurant has levels Jerry. Levels ! Like 5 levels so was pretty epic.

Awesome time, good food

Don t waste your money here. The rudest grumpiest looking servers I have ever met, didn t great us or even smile when we walked in, everyone looked like their cat just died. Then we sat ourselves waited to be asked if we wanted a drink or anything for a good 20 minutes maybe 30. Nobody came, so we left, had some more grumpy looking glares on the way out, this place is terrible, won t be back.

Awesome place to get liquored!!

We had 2 servers, for we moved tables. Both servers were personable, had congeniality and bright smiles. The food was top notch as usual. Restrooms clean and smelling fresh! Even the doorman was warm-hearted and inviting.

Stopped in for a pint on St Patricks Day with my lady. Great place to spend St Patricks Day. And any other day you like to drink.

Its been several years since my last review so I thought Id rewrite it after tonights dinner. Service was really good on a busy day (day after the vaccination passport lifted) and the food was served hot and simultaneously for all four of us at our table. We all enjoyed our food and I would go again! There are some new items on the menu and some have been taken off but it is still a pretty varied selection list.

Had the poutine and it was pretty good. Quick service and polite staff.

Great food, great location!

Told we could sit anywhere. Then were asked to move not 1, not 2, but 3 times. As the but out reserved signs on tables. Waiter openly complained about being short staffed and having to do everything. Food was average at best.

Never spend money at this place they will charge you for trash food that has to get sent back to the kitchen. Didnt even eat the food. Still got charged. Dont waste your time or money here do yourself a favour.

We ordered through Doordash last night and spent nearly $70 on two meals, only the meals with no drinks. We ordered the burger, which was okay at best with fries. We also ordered the Chicken Lips chicken strips (appetizer). They tasted rubbery. And also ordered was a separate order of lattice fries. But what was delivered was regular fries, eventhough I specifically ordered a lattice fries order. I called them and all they could say was that they had a shortage of lattice fries and were being careful how they were being put out. In other words, it sounded like only the restaurant was serving them inside. On the order, it should of stated they were sold out of them then. Or reimbursed me for the fries. If I had known, I might have substituted the fries for a salad. I was not given this choice. They did not even follow up on this. Will not order from here again!!

Came here for a friends birthday. What a mistake that was. I would never recommend someone spend money on the food here. The food I got litteraly un-edible and still got charged for it. Great service.... not. Writing this review as I sit at the table. First time iv sent food back and it still comes back wrong and get charged for it like its my fault. This is definitely the wrong establishement to spend any birthday at. Only thing they got right was the drinks. Poor service, even poorer food and theyll still charge you for it. Classy. Legit MacDonalds provides better customer service than this place, go to any other one of the great places downtown. Edit from original review: Two Weeks later still no follow-up as mentioned in their reply. Give your money to place that actually cares lots of great spots downtown its a shame this is their standard here.

Awesome and friendly service. I was visiting from Ontario for a job interview and they made me feel right at home. I m excited to return and have it as my new favourite place to have an adult beverage and meet new friends.

Their service is top notch ! Greeted right away and taken care of the entire visit. Love the different seating levels and that they have a pool table. The pachos are like no other and the pacha sauce is amazing !

Dirty water glasses. We waited for over an hour for our food despite the restaurant being empty. Ordered a cold dish for appetizer that can be put together in 2 mins. No acknowledgment or apologies from the staff. My lamb burger patty was half the size of the bun. Fries were cold. Horrible experience with the food and service.

Typical pub grub and some decent beers. Its extremely noisy, so dont expect a quiet dinner or a relaxing drink. Not the best Irish pub, but very friendly staff.

Taylor was the absolute sweetest server! All of our drinks and food were served so quickly, she was so sweet and bubbly and she makes a damn good ceaser! Asked us all the kindest questions and as a fellow server in the industry I loved getting to talk to her / listening to her recommendations for drinks, she was so great. Manager on shift (blonde with short hair) was more than a bit rude, but we enjoyed the food and quality of service made our first visit very enjoyable!

Fun pub to end your night in Kamloops. Mostly younger crowd, but all ages feel welcome and have fun.

I had a friend visiting from Vancouver and they got in late tired and hungry. I had an experience with their sister co. on my Birthday and was very reluctant to go in here. But it was late we were hungry and decided to give it a go and we are sure glad we did! Service professional and caring. Atmosphere comfy and full of character. The food came out piping hot not warmish and it was fresh! YAY! That homemade Blue Cheese Dip is a perfect dip for wings and pork bites! We enjoyed our evening very much and to top it off, Ricards Red on tap! Score! We had a great night and really appreciated it very much! MUCH better than their sister co. down the street, thankfully! Oh and as a side note....Happy hours.....YES! AND treated well on your Birthday whether you are alone or not! Fancy that! (the sister co made my Birthday evening alone in a new town horrible.) This may be my go to for my Birthday Next year! Highly recommend!

Chicken lips and pachos ( chicken fingers and lattice cut fries). You may get addicted!

Had a bday dinner, my fettuccine was overcooked and sauce was bland. Chicken was dry. Very disappointing for a dish at $25. At least the service was great. The ladies working at our table worked their butts off.
