I wish I could be leaving a positive review, truly Our food took over an hour to arrive to our table, it was a simple mince sauce pasta and a margarita pizza. There was only one table besides us that was there so it was hardly busy as the reason. I was told it was because everything was hand made, but homemade pasta takes minutes to cook, and pizza is 20 mins max in an oven! The pasta was tasty, but hardly any meat (maybe 5 small pieces of mince), and the pizza was hard and bland. We had still ordered a tiramisu because it s my fiancées favourite, and on my first bite I had not one, but TWO pieces of HAIR in it. It was blonde/grey short hair (my hair is dark brown and my fiancee has long dark hair) so it definitely wasn t ours. I nicely brought this up to our waitress away from other customers, and they told the owner/chefs, and after all this they only took the cost of the tiramisu off the bill (which had one scoop out of it) The owner/chefs didn t even come out of the kitchen to say anything to me even though they had been out before asking how things were the whole time before. Very disappointed, and it is such an expensive restaurant for how simple and plain the food is Our waitress was very nice, but unfortunately that was about all that was good.

The food was completely handmade from scratch.. from staters to the main course, its was really delicious from cheese balls to chiken parmesan pasta. And at last, the desserts were awesome too.

Its hard to believe the ratings of 4.4 when you have to wait 1h30 for 2 pasta dishes... the homemade excuse is unfortunately unconvincing! No commercial gesture otherwise to compensate for this wait

We do not recommend the restaurant, especially if you are hungry. The pizza was good but not worth the 1.5 hour wait. We noticed that the pizza oven can only hold one pizza at a time. Patience is the key word.

We had a delicious appetizer of creamy polenta with marinara sauce, followed by entrees of fettuccine with pesto and chicken gorgonzola. Focaccia bread was served hot with our meals. What a beautiful dining experience in Kamloops! This is definitely not a place to get a quick meal, but its well worth the wait. Highly recommend!

First time visitors to Kamloops and we were so happy to find authentica Italian. We had the Caprese salad and a pizza to share. Both dishes were delicious. Claudia s pizza crust is perfection. The house wines are great. Saturday night was busy. I would recommend you book a table.

Food was good, no air conditioning, so like an oven in there. Took 2 hours for our meal to come. Absolutely outrageous! Would never recommend this place ever. Parking: Inconvenient to find parking. Bad location.

Great service! The two waitresses/hosts were very nice. (Tammy and Jada). Although it was busy in there, they did their best to compensate us with some great bruschetta freshly made. The chicken pasta is my by far the favorite thing. I was told by the waitresses that the pasta are freshly made in house.so that s amazing. We wanted to try their margherita pizza to try some authentic italian pizzas but unfortunately they were out of their doughs (which are freshly made as well). We will visit again and hopefully try their pizza next time! The atmosphere is very relaxed in there although they are busy.. So please be patient to the waitresses and spend the night peacefully in there.

We arrived, a party of three with no reservation at 7pm for dinner. There was a large group that had taken over all but 3 tables. After waiting for several minutes and wondering if the restaurant actually had any staff, we were told no more tables tonight.. The delivery of that message sure could have been a bit more professional and possibly apologetic. Maybe even some signage at the door about the large group so we wouldnt have annoyed them by trying to eat there. Poorly handled.

This was my first time here and most likely my last Food was great, the service was poor... the host seemed to be doing everything I believe we saw our waitress once who took our order then was behind the counter the entire time The place was chaos, people were bringing their own chairs to sit, people having to ask for a menu because they were sat then left to not see a menu for 20 mins For somewhere that only has maybe 10-12 tables they couldnt keep up which at this point only have maybe 7 parties most were a party of 2 .. At one point the chef was out seating guests It could have been a much better experience

The food is very good but even the starters take a very long time to come out. I wouldnt choose this restaurant if youre looking for a quicker dinner or are already hungry although, they do give you delicious bread to start. When I dine out, its the little details for me. We went to eat after a long beach day in the sun. We didnt order drinks because I just wanted a nice cold glass of water. When we were served luke warm water, I asked for some ice water. We had to ask for it a second time because it didnt come and it was then explained to us that they dont typically serve carafes of ice water to tables with just 2 people. They gave us a carafe with 4 ice cubes which melted quickly. We ordered a pizza which was large but only cut into 4 pieces; perhaps a halfway between traditional Itatian and North American style of serving pizza? The food was amazing but the service left us a bit baffled. We didnt exactly feel welcome, especially when it was pointed out that we had a table of just 2. Im glad we tried it out but, I dont think well go back.

The dinner experience here was disappointing. My husband and I had a good news today so we wanted to celebrate it. We both are foodies and know how to enjoy good food. He wanted to try good Italian food so we chose this restaurant. When we entered, a waitress welcomed us and asked us to sit wherever we want to. We chose a table. But she was annoyed because we chose four people setting table. I found it strange. If she was going to show her attitude like that, why didnt she lead us to a table that she wanted us to sit? We didnt feel comfortable but sat down and ordered food because we wanted to celebrate and be happy. We orderd their bruschetta as an appetizer. It was bitter, very salty and too sour with a lot of balsamic vinegar. When the waitress came and asked how it was, I said it was too salty for me. Instead of apologizing for whatever mistake had happened at the kitchen, she showed the face like why are you complaining, you picky? when she turned around. Unfortunately, I saw the face clearly. If you want to hear only things that you would like to, then why are you asking? The pasta that I ordered was bland. I thought the chef was very careful about seasoning because I complained about the bruschetta. Honestly, it was the worst pasta I have ever had in my life. Just tasteless. Since the waitress showed her attitude toward me, I didnt complain about the pasta. Overall, we didnt enjoy our dinner there. The music was very loud and it was hard to hear the waitress. Also its too pricey. I feel it isnt worth paying that much. Its so sad that you cant find real fine Italian restaurants in Kamloops.

Had a great experience here with our family. We came here to celebrate a graduation. We had to wait a little as all of the pasta is made here but is well worth the wait. The pasta is superb and the food meets the hype of traditional Italian cuisine. The experience is relaxed and friendly. Don t know why this is not the busiest restaurant in town. Great experience. Great value. Highly recommended

If you need authentic Italian food in town then this is the place I love their pizzas, pastas and the way they prepare it so fresh and tasty. Do not miss the schiacciata..The chef is amazing and the staff is super awesome!! 10/10 Food

Best Pasta I ve had in Kamloops and definitely authentic. Everything is made from scratch down to the pasta noodles. The owner is the chef and takes pride. Yes the wait time is longer but that s expected when you have one chef preparing your meal in the back and it s worth the wait.

This place absolutely blew us away. We were in Kamloops for a wedding and 6 of us decided to come here to eat and catch up. Totally authentic dining experience where the service is slow so you really get the chance to catch up and socialize while the food makes its way out. The focaccia was soft, light, and perfectly salted! We shared the arancini, bruschetta, and polenta board. Definitely get the meat sauce on the polenta! Bruschetta was fresh and flavourful, and the arancini was crispy but not heavy, and the tomato sauce was amazing. Our aperol spritz was strong (no problem for us LOL) and they had peroni beer (Italian beer). We ordered 3 different pizzas and they were absolutely gorgeous. Large portions and the char on the crust was perfect! It even made for great leftovers the next day! We also ordered 3 pastas and the shrimp pasta was light and lemony and the noodles were cooked perfectly Al dente. The pepperoncini pasta was the perfect blend of spicy and creamy! All ingredients either sourced from Italy or locally. You can tell the chef cares about what she cooks. They had one chef in the kitchen cooking everything with love! This is the perfect place for a nice and slow dinner experience where you don t feel rushed at all. Perfect for catching up with friends you don t get to see often. We loved our round table because we all could see and hear each other. Our server was amazing and not too overbearing although we enjoyed every interaction we did have with her. My partner and I have been to Italy and this is the most authentic experience we ve had at an Italian place in Canada since! We will absolutely be back here whenever we find ourselves in Kamloops!

Great food, large portions but major issues with their payment system and the hostess was wearing a facemask, but totally ineffectively.

I had dinner here a couple of weeks ago when I was visiting Kamloops and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I had the prawn al limone and it rivaled some of the meals I had while in Italy. Everything was made from scratch with quality ingredients. This is true authentic Italian cuisine made with love. Eating here is an experience and it s really one of Kamloops hidden gems.

New to Kamloops, we ate at this quaint, intimate restaurant for the first time. It is a genuine Italian restaurant with a chef / owner originally from Italy - using a combination of locally sourced and Italian produced ingredients; and it was great. Following cocktails, we started with both bruschetta and arancini (with a fresh tomato sauce for dipping). To go with it, we paired a reasonably priced and excellent Chianti. All were enjoyed to the fullest. For the main course, we had a freshly made (real Italian style crust) 1/2 and 1/2 pizza with one half being Sicilian (Italian sausage & hot Capocollo) and the other with Prosciutto & Araugula with a home-made tomato sauce. This was again, great! For dessert, we had the Cannoli (with Mascarpone) which was to die for along with Espressos and Sambuca. Service was wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. And, as good restaurants will do - the Chef / Owner came out to ask about our experience. We highly recommend Di Muzio s for a genuine Italian food experience.

2 hours of waiting for expensive food that ended up being nothing to write home about :( I recommend you dont visit unless you have nowhere to be for the rest of the evening

This place is amazing!!! The food is made while you wait so it takes a bit longer! Expect to be here for over an hour. Exquisite ingredients! Tastes like the food we had in Italia. Soooo yummy. The sauce is like my Nonnas homemade sauce. Amazing!! They use organic ingredients ! The Tiramisu was awesome! Great friendly staff. Absolutely amazing food. Great small dining room. I would suggest a reservation. The service was top notch, and the owner came out and offered us free dessert because she was still working out her recipes for new in-house made Gelato, which was also incredible. An overall great experience.

Expect this Italian experience to last 1.5 hrs for small party; maybe longer for a larger party. She makes her food fresh to order. Although it says close at 9pm. It should say open until late. We called ahead for a large group for 8:30pm and she kept serving us well past 11pm. Absolutely the best Italian food Ive had outside of Italy!!! The ingredients she uses are top quality. Great food! I felt like I m in Italy

My husband and I finally tried this little gem of a restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The food is authentic and arrived hot. LOVED the polenta board with housemade marinara sauce. I could not get enough (and I am not a polenta fan). the atmosphere is cozy. I found our server - who had the entire room alone - to be efficient and knowledgeable about the food and wine. She managed to clear tables, serve, seat people, take payment at the bar, chat politely and keep our water glasses full without breaking a sweat. My ONLY complaint is that the portion sizes varied dramatically. My husbands aglio e olio was small - just filled the plate. Then we saw the same pasta go to another table where it was heaped full. Saw this at different tables where one plate would be very low with a small portion, then another be a mountain of pasta. So not sure what was up with that, but the pasta was cooked perfectly and sauces delicious. Will definitely return. Also a good selection of wine. Not a large list, but all quality wines.

Was out for supper with a large group at Di Muzio this evening. I didn t know anything about the restaurant, but was super impressed with the food, service, and atmosphere. It s a cute little family run restaurant with a friendly staff who were very attentive. The schiacciatta bread to start was a very good sign, soft and delish. I got a Sicilian pizza, ingredients were fresh, had just the right amount of kick, the crust had a nice balance of soft yet crunchy and was on the thin side. I can eat endlesss amounts of pizza, but I was very full by the end of the meal . But I couldn t help but go for what turned out to be possibly the largest serving of Tiramisu I ve ever had, it s Tiramisu, hard to go wrong, and it didn t disappoint! So if looking for some authentic tasty Italian or if you like supporting a small family run restaurant Di Muzio is a tasty option that d be top of my list if ever back in town.

Come here and enjoy the food, the relaxation of having a meal prepared the traditional Italian way. Enjoy your company while your meal is actually being prepared from scratch, yes it ll take awhile. We had three appetizers and three different mains and all delicious! The meal start to finish was about 2 + hours - we loved the appetizers and then the pleasant wait for mains gave us time to talk over a glass of wine. The food is worth the wait and it s a nice reminder to slow down, appreciate and everything doesn t need to be rushed.

Beautiful home made organic pasta dishes that are nutritiously filling and the atmosphere was interestingly beautiful so do take the time to inhale the details, its gorgeous.

If your hungry, don t waste your time. The rare time we have a babysitter for a couple hours, we decided to give this place a try. An hour and a half later and we still didn t have our food?!?!? No complimentary drinks or food or anything was brought out. After asked multiple times where our food was, and seeing others get their food, we got up and left. It s unfortunate we didn t read other reviews first, looks like this is a pattern. Super disappointed we didn t goto peters pasta across the street, I know for a fact the service is incredible and food is too notch.

No step is skipped or altered. Truly authentic. The owner cares about doing things the way they re supposed to be done and how they ve always been done in Italy. She is one of a kind. Took us on short notice on a busy night. Gnocchi with tomato sauce was truly a 5 star experience. Pizza Napoletana with anchovies almost as good. Excellent house wine. A bit of a wait on a very busy night but very highly recommended. Order in advance and save the wait!

Not a good experience at all. We had a 6:30 pm reservation for 2, but didn t get seated until 7:00 pm and didn t receive our food until after 8:00 pm. When we finally did receive the food it s platted presentation and taste were off. We shared the Caesar salad, which was a plate of unchopped romaine leaves with 3 grape tomatoes, 4 deep-fried breaded mozzarella squares, a few full slices of bacon and Parmesan splashed with a VERY tangy anchovy dressing. The salami and artichoke pizza was a large sized pizza only cut into quarters that was cold, hard, and BLAND! They didn t add ANY spice (basil, oregano, Italian seasoning, or even salt/pepper). We had been told the pizza had been ready and sitting in the back, waiting for the rest of our order for how long? why wasn t it timed better, or brought out to us? The gnocchi and meat sauce reminded me of of the canned Chef ravioli But again, no flavour and mushy. We didn t even eat half of the food as it was so unappetizing, we and definitely didn t have any desire to bring leftovers home. This restaurant is not following even the most basic of Covid health orders; no one s vaccination passports are asked for/checked, people and tables are not even close to being spaced, none of the staff/cooks were wearing masks or face shields and they didn t care whether customers were or not when not seated. They didn t end up charging us for the food portion of our bill, but that wasn t what we were after. This place had so many good reviews, and it ended up being such a big disappointment. We will not be returning, and definitely do NOT recommend this restaurant.

What a wonderful experience! Cute cozy gem of a restaurant that felt authentically Italian. Staff were so nice and welcoming and the relaxed and intimate atmosphere was so refreshing. I love love LOVE the food, it s absolutely amazing and by far the best Italian restaurant in town, but the service is usually pretty bad. I don t want to bring this restaurant down because it s seriously delicious and I want them to stick around, but I swear we waited an hour between or appetizers and our main today and our appetizers also took a long time to come out. This isn t the first time we ve been disappointed by the service here. Last time we were here we watched people wait at the door to be seated but left after waiting 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by staff. I hope this improves soon

Unvelievable food, great swrvice.

Had high hopes after seeing some nice reviews... Taste was good, but quite expensive for the value. Seafood pasta was the most expensive dish on the menu, but it was just par compared to other resturants seafood pastas Ive had before. The value was not there for a 38$ plate of food. 3 scallops, and maybe 5 or 6 shrimps.. The food took a long time to come out as well.. it was weird because the waitress kept trying to convince us to order something else, and warned us the seafood pasta takes the longest.. still shouldnt take that long. Was disappointed

Super frustrated with our experience. Had some great appetizers and were excited for our food but it took over two hours to be served. It turns out that they had a massive take out order come in that had to be made earlier than they planned, but doing that put us, and 2 other tables into a holding pattern for the remainder of the evening. Totally not the wait staffs fault, I get that 100%. But I just wish they could have let us know the situation earlier then when we were served our food. When the food came, it was pretty good, but the experience has really soured me on coming here again.

We showed up late and they didn t bat an eye at us stating to eat. Excellent people and great food. HIGHLY recommend and we ll be back!

I was tragically disappointed with our family celebration meal that we had been looking forward to. We returned to enjoy another great meal and time at this delightful restaurant but that was not to be last Friday night. The wait time for our 4 pasta meals one pizza was over 2 hours. The quality of the meals was average at best. The service was not attentive. If you are going for a stay and eat all night long atmosphere then provide a steady flow of food and check the glasses frequently. Sorry but we wont be back.

It tasted very good.

We were in Kamloops for one night as part of a Princess/Rocky Mountaineer tour. We were given a long list of restaurants by the tour guide but we narrowed the list quickly since we wanted a good Italian dinner. I picked Di Muzio Ristorante because it was close to our downtown hotel. This place is a gem-our dinner was amazing and our server Catherine was fantastic. We met the owner Claudia after the meal to complement her on our delicious experience. We learned that she uses her family recipes. Claudia made what may be the best homemade gnocchi with meat sauce I have ever eaten. And the Caesar salad was different (and excellent!) with crispy polenta croutons, thinly sliced Parmesan and nice pieces of prosciutto. Oh, how I wish this excellent restaurant was in Phoenix so that I could be a frequent diner. If I ever visit Kamloops again I know where I am going for dinner. Thank you Claudia and Catherine for making our introduction to Kamloops so memorable.

Unassuming, quiet place offering delicious food made to order.

We sat outside. We encountered the woman who does the cooking she was fun and took the time to engage us on our likes in food. Very informative and so friendly. They were busy we did not have reservations they accommodated us anyway. Staff was exceptional. Meal serving was very large with some unique choices. We would go again. Great bottle of house wine topped the being off.

The food just wasn t good, not enough salt or seasoning, it s a no for me

No appetite for food after waiting an hour. We were at the restaurant at 5:15pm and were the first customers there. Gave the waitress our order at about 5:40. Almost one hour later our food came. During that time only two couples came in. What was the kitchen doing all that time? Sitting for almost two hours on hard metal chairs is not comfortable. We finally paid our bill and left at 7:10. My biggest regret was leaving a tip on the $241 bill. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

We were in Kamloops for the weekend and were looking for a nice place to celebrate my sons birthday. We had no trouble with getting in because we had reservations. The server gets an A+ in upselling. We declined her suggestions and just ordered our meals. She reminded us that we had a long wait for our meals and that having appies and wine would make the wait easier. We again declined this high pressure selling and kept to just our entrées. The food was good but very over priced and small portions. We got 2 meals and decided to started eating them while they were still hot. The other 2 meals came after the first 2 meals were completed. Our non alcoholic beverage was never served. The server was shocked that we had finished the first 2 meals and tried to point out that we must have been starving and ate them incredibly fast but really I was eating slowly with hopes of eating some of our meal together. While we were there, 1 couple left after finishing their bottle of wine because their meal still hadnt come and another patron was vocal about how long he was waiting for his to-go order. The food was flavourful but the service was something I would expect from a fastfood restaurant.

Food was excellent, service was great, but waiting time was completely unacceptable. It took 1.5h to get our main dishes, and the restaurant was not full. No one alerted us ahead of time, apologized while we were waiting or offered any compensation. Only after I left with the kids to get more food, the waitress told my husband they were missing a person in the kitchen, but still no compensation offered. My kids missed the pool time they were longing for, and were hungry, because there was no way we could order more food.

This restaurant is a true gem. Wanted a small and intimate date night and I knew this would be the perfect place. The atmosphere is great, the staff welcoming and they take care of you. The food is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend had the pizza and I had the spicy sausage penne. We ordered drinks and the waitress was very good about checking on us. The food takes time to prepare but it s totally worth the wait. We didn t want to rush as it was a night out for us. So much food to bring home. We would much rather have an experience like this over a franchise restaurant anytime. Treated you like family. I cannot recommend this little treasure more. It s a must when dining in Kamloops.

We drove down from Prince George to Kamloops to celebrate a birthday. Before we decided where to eat, we researched several options and decided on DiMuzio. We were not disappointed! The restaurant is quaint, nicely decorated with Italian music playing. The menu is small but plenty of pizza and pasta choices. Our server was warm and knowledgeable. The food was spectacular! You could tell it was all scratch made. We had the gnocchi with meat sauce, chicken gorgonzola, and Sicilian pesto dishes - all amazing. We finished the meal with tiramisu- literally the most divine tiramisu weve ever had. Do yourself a favour and try it out. Thank you for a great night out!

I made last minute reservation for our international student 16th birthday with her friend and was over the moon with service and quality. The girls were treated very well and both really enjoyed their meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for both quality and service.

Very small around ten table Italian restaurant. Homestyle atmosphere with excellent service. Bread appetizer, which I assume was made in-house, was great. It was a little heavier but reminded me of a crispy focaccia. My wife and I shared a pizza and a pasta and we were both happy with our choices. Pasta noodles were cooked mildly el dente and the sauce was a little light with a decent kick of spice without overpowering the flavour. The pizza crust was thinner and a bit dryer but held the toppings and cheese together nicely. Wasnt so soft that it just flopped when you picked it up. Not overly sauce heavy but still enough there to taste how good it was. Good food for the value. When we go again well have to try another pizza and pasta. Not a huge menu but lots of good sounding options.

Delicious food worth the wait. Dont expect to be in and out quickly, they make everything from scratch and you can tell by the delicious fresh flavours. The staff was very knowledgeable and kind. The atmosphere is also very cozy! It would be the perfect place for date night.

Best homemade pasta!

I have been here three times. The food was outstanding each time. Twice I have orderd both the ceasar salad and the chicken pasta. Both these dishes are amazing. ( and I have eaten in fabulous restaurants around the world) . If you are deciding to make a reservation make sure you are not in a rush. Each meal is prepared with attention and this takes time. Order some wine and relax .

Best pizza in town!

Pizza crust was nice but the toppings lacked flavour, pasta was decent but oily. Wasnt a terrible meal, but wasnt good enough to my family to want to return for the price.

I fricken love this food! The gnocchi and pizza are to die for. The bruschetta is so fresh and basily with this fantastic balsamic vinegar drizzled on top thats so uniquely flavoured! This is Italian food on crack everyone. Yeah youre gonna have to wait a bit for the food because the kitchen is small and everything is from scratch but its SO worth it!

We had an amazing experience at Di Muzio. Their food is fantastic, and they use Non-GMO, organic, hormone free ingredients. The owner is lovely, so are the staff and we received top notch service! We will be back soon!

The food here is decent, if a little lack luster. The atmosphere is stuffy and a little outdated but we still enjoyed our dinner.

We were pleasantly surprised when the hostess was able to make room for us at the last minute. We heard amazing things about the restaurant and just had to find out for ourselves. The ambience was very nice. The chairs were absolutely terrible for the lower back. No padding on the the seats made for a stylish yet uncomfortable stay. A stay that was only made worse by the extremely slow service. A service that begin 68 minutes ago and not a single plate has left the kitchen. The people who were at restaurants at our arrival have not seen food yet either.

My boyfriend and I go to Di Muzio pretty regularly. We also did take-out during Covid-19 shutdown, and every time and every plate or pizza we have tried, we have enjoyed thoroughly. It is a nice place to go and set time aside to mingle in the ambiance, and enjoy some pretty tasty food. We prefer going in for the experience. During some nicer weather, their patio is lovely as well.

We dropped in while driving through Kamloops during a smoke filled road trip. Was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. Our meals were simple, gnocchi with meat sauce and spaghetti with meat sauce. The meal was tasty and hit that Goldilocks territory of just the right balance of flavour and subtlety. That all our meals were served on piping hot plates was just one more example of the care the owner, Claudia, put into her service quality. The portions were almost too big such that we took doggy bags and brought them all the way home to Calgary.

If you havent been yet you must try it! Lovely atmosphere, really great food and awesome service. We loved it and look forward to a return trip to try the pizza that looked sooo good!

Celebrated our 3rd anniversary here and it really brought back some honeymoon memories! Authentic Italian food. The gnocchi literally melts in your mouth and the pizza is amazing. Huge portions too! The goal is to try everything on their menu eventually

Excellent Italian food. The warmest service. Wine recommendations were above and beyond my expectations. This will is our go to restaurant moving forward. Service skills have been lost .... so much entitlement.. I can say this as I was a server in fine dining for may years... not in this case....... its been found here. Best service and food worth spending your dollars on! Bravo!

Nice simple menu, but very authentic, tasty Italian meals. The pizzas are immense. All portions are generous. A lovely little spot!

I had high hopes. The bruschetta was a delight. One of the best I ve had. I enjoyed the fried polenta as well but, needed salt. I had the chicken Gorgonzola and, it was bland and, the sauce was broken. The other pastas were both tomato based and, the sauce was ok. Need a better selection of wine for sure. Our server was new but, she was lovely. Worth going in just for the bruschetta, oh! And the Tiramisu was legit.

I ve got to be honest. I was a bit disappointed. I though this might be a cute, romantic restaurant but the seats were hard and the tables reminded me of a cheap Chinese restaurant with the clear plastic cover. The wine menu only had one type of white wine. Our appetizers arrived fairly quickly and most of them were pretty good but then we waited over an hour for our main courses of gnocchi/ pasta to arrive. By the time the mains arrived we d already been there for 2-1/2 hours. My spicy penne tasted pretty good but my husband said his gnocchi was a bit bland. I think i was just tired of the hard chair and irritated by the slow food by the time we left. We didn t end up ordering dessert.

We were served by Vanessa today, and this was our first experience. We were greeted in a warm manner, and the food was carefully prepared. Folks this is an absolute gem of a place to visit, and I highly encourage you to come and enjoy an authentic Italian experience right here in Kamloops. To Claudia - youve done yourself a huge favor hiring the staff you have now. Exceptional service.

What sets them apart from other restaurants is their homemade Italian Pizza, Carbonara Pasta, authentic Bolognese Meat Sauce, Claudia s delicious Tiramisu plus many other dishes that will make you want to go back like I m going to do. The BEST italian food. I could eat the spaghetti & meatballs everyday. The risotto balls are so amazing also. I love that everything is made fresh from scratch daily. Huge fan of this place xx

Excellent service and great food, we had the Carbonara, Arancini, Polenta Sticks, Gnocchi w/meat sauce, and the Tira Misu, everything was yummy though Gnocchi isnt my thing, I think I like something more to chew on, my girlfriend loved it though and I loved the Carbonara! And the Tira Misu (spelling?) was super yummy and went to down way too fast!

Thoroughly enjoyed our experience. First time either of us had been here and thankfully we were able to be seated without a reservation around 5pm on a Saturday. Devoured our starters of bruschetta and caprese salad, and ate as much as we could of the carbonara and gnocchi before we had to admit defeat and pack the remainders away so that wed have room for the tiramisu. Loved everything, and although I make my homemade gnocchi more dense and chewy due to personal preference, I still enjoyed the little pillows of fluffy potato pasta that I know from experience a lot of time and energy went into. No doubt in our minds of the authenticity and hard work put into every dish. Thanks again

Just loved the food and service. Really comfortable dinning with the feel you are in Italy on vacation. Great atmosphere and we chatted with other dinners which is rare. You feel you are in the kitchen of an friends place for dinner. The food was really authentic and so delicious.

Im quite picky when it comes to restaurants but this food surpassed my expectations! It was delicious, fresh and had a homemade quality. I also enjoyed the small, intimate atmosphere. I highly recommend the gnocchi! I was really impressed and cant wait to go there again.

I had the pasta and chicken it was fabulous. We had tiramisu for dessert it was so light and very tasty.

I went here for the first time last weekend with 3 friends. Two of my friends ordered the gnocchi and raved about it. Their happiness with their meals are the only reason Im giving this place more than 1 star. My other friend and I each ordered a pizza. She got the margarita and I got the prosciutto arugula. Neither one of us liked the pizza. The crust was really nicely cooked and thin, but the other ingredients did not sit well with either of us. I wouldnt call the meat on my pizza prosciutto... More like over cooked ham. When the waitress asked if wed like our pizzas packed up (we barely ate them) I told her that I felt awkward and bad to admit it, but I didnt enjoy the pizza at all. She was shocked, but very kind about it. She said everyone loves the pizza but maybe its just not for everyone, and offered to take the pizzas off of our bill. I told her I ordered a pizza and you made one for me, so I still want to pay. She then said she would just charge my friend and I for half of the cheaper pizza, each. I thought this was a very fair agreement and although I didnt enjoy my food, I enjoyed the service and was overall happy with the experience. When the bills came, I received a phone call and went outside to take it, leaving one of my friends with my card to pay my bill. When my friends came outside they informed me of the waitresses snarky comments she made after I had left. She told them shes been to Italy and thats EXACTLY how pizza is in Italy. She also told them not to write a bad review. First of all, Ive been to Italy too sweetheart and no, that is NOT how pizza tastes in Italy. Second of all, I AM HALF ITALIAN! You cannot tell me how Italian food tastes (thanks for the laugh though!). I have NEVER gone to an Italian restaurant outside of Italy and expected the food to taste the same as it does in Italy. Its just not possible! That would be an unrealistic expectation. However, when I order a $25 pizza from an Italian restaurant, I expect fresh ingredients, I expect it to not taste like a frozen pizza from the grocery store and I expect REAL ingredients... Like quality Prosciutto and mozzarella (not the shredded kind). Third of all, I had never intended to leave a bad review. Look at my review history in Google and youll see this is the first bad review Ive ever written. Im only writing it because of the servers rude/stuck up comments and piss poor attitude she had behind my back. Not sure if she thought my friends wouldnt tell me what she said? I tried to be as polite and humble as possible when admitting I didnt like the pizza. I even insisted on paying you after you said I didnt have to. But when you go out of your way to tell someone not to write a bad review, it makes me wonder what other complaints people may have had that youve asked them not to share?

What a fantastic experience! It felt like we stepped off Victoria St. and strait into Italy! A quaint layout with old-world delicate touches (lace tablecloths even) and soft Italian music helped us drift into a satisfied state of serendipitous smiling. The menu is focused (which helped us actually as were usually very indecisive) and you can just see the cut no corners love that goes into these from scratch, family recipe masterpieces, all crafted with authentic imported ingredients. We shared (so we each get to try) the carbonara and the gnocchi with meat sauce...I had no idea gnocchi was that delicate. We have already planned what we are going to have next time. We need to save room for dessert! Fantastic, authentic, food and atmosphere. Im in love all over again.

We had Chicken special wrapped in Prosciutto and Lemon, that was delicious. Accompanied with Spaghetti followed by Tiramisu for dessert. The Pironi brought me back to our vacation traveling about in Italy. The wine was just as good. Definitely a place to come back to. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was recommended to us as a must try. Being Italian I don t often go out for Italian food. We usually are disappointed. We were a little hesitant but decided to give it a go. Well we were pleasantly surprised! Everything was fabulous! Service, food ambiance!! The entire package! We certainly will be returning!! Thank you!!

This place is an EXPERIENCE. Be prepared for that. For an appy, drinks, dinner and dessert expect to sit like a European family for up to 2 hours. In my case, this was a positive. The food was hand-prepared from scratch by the owner, and we had plenty of time to sip, talk and enjoy the music and the view of downtown Victoria street. Almost everything on the menu is SHAREABLE. Also be prepared for this. The prices may seem steep but a pizza is HUGE, the starter salad is HUGE, and the Pasta is HUGE. This restaurant has real charm and you feel like family. The owner even dropped off our leftovers that we had boxed and left by accident. She drove past our house on the way home and called when she was curbside. A work in progress... But this place is a fresh change in Kamloops and we loved it.

This was hands down one of the best dining experiences I have had to date and I have lived here for over 25 years. The food was magnificent to say the least and the moment we walked in, it felt like we stepped out of Kamloops and into Italy. We were treated like family, and the food resembled cooking made from someone you love. Not to mention, Shona, our server was one of the most down to earth human begins I have met in a long time and her service was impeccable. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Arguably the best kept secret in Kamloops. You really get the full dining experience. You can tell this owner put her heart and soul into the food and service! Will keep coming back time and time again!

Took out of town relatives here as the pictures on Facebook and reviews looked good. The waiter was slow and not attentive at all. Started with a delicious brussheta then waited in anticipation for the entrees. And waited. And waited some more. 1.5 hours later we were served 4 plates of pasta slapped on the plate without any garnish at all. Waiter did not offer any ground pepper or drinks. All the pasta was horrible, could have been out of a box. Too salty. Had to hunt for some tiny bits of chicken. Seafood fettuccine was tasteless. Everything was bland and looked unappetizing. No one finished their plate. Waiter didnt care or come check on our table at all. We finished and waited another 15 min. for waiter to remove our plates. No coffee offered. Total bill for 1 appie and 4 plates of pasta was $150.00. I was embarrassed to have recommended this place to eat. Definitely wont ever go back.

Di Muzio is our favourite Italian place in Kamloops, hands down. Food was phenomenal, service was great and we loved the atmosphere. My husband is Italian and said the food reminded him of his Nonnas cooking. What higher praise can you get?! Would definitely recommend.

Cozy Italian restaurant in downtown Kamloops, there are about 8 tables inside. Reservations are currently required, but given the size likely to always be a good idea. Friendly service. Menu is a good size, not to big or small, with several pizza and pasta options. We had a carbonara and a Napoletana Pizza, both quite tasty. A handful of appetizers are available, we had the bruschetta and enjoyed it. A small wine selection is available, Jackson Triggs for the house wine, we had a Chianti that was very easy drinking and paired well with the food. The tiramisu dessert was excellent, very light and enjoyable. I look forward to coming back.

Best Italian pizza we have had since we been to Italy

We enjoyed the appetizer, but the pasta was very bland almost like plain pasta with a jar of Alfredo, some bacon bits and black pepper. Service was sluggish and leisurely. Not worth it.
