Review for Jacob's Noodle & Cutlet, Kamloops Jacob's Noodle & Cutlet, nestled in downtown Kamloops, offers a delightful dining experience. Despite its small size, the cozy atmosphere, tasteful interior, and warm lighting make it a welcoming spot for casual meals. Parking can be tricky, but it’s well worth the effort. Service The staff are friendly, attentive, and efficient, ensuring orders are taken and served promptly. Their professionalism enhances the dining experience, making you feel valued as a guest. Food The food is fresh, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. Here's what we tried: Seafood Udon: A warm, comforting dish with perfectly cooked noodles and fresh seafood. The broth was rich and satisfying. Total: $17.33. Beef Udon Combo: Tender beef paired with hearty noodles and a flavorful broth. This dish was filling and worth the price of $20.95. Spicy Ramyun Combo with Coke: The spicy noodles were bold and flavorful, balanced perfectly with the cool Coke. Total: $20.88. Each dish was served fresh and quickly, making it ideal for anyone seeking a satisfying, quick bite. Overall Experience Jacob's Noodle & Cutlet is a hidden gem, offering a warm ambiance, exceptional service, and delicious food. Whether you’re dining solo or with friends, it’s a place that guarantees comfort and quality. We highly recommend the seafood and beef udon combos for noodle lovers. Pro Tip: Arrive early to secure parking and beat any potential rush. This cozy restaurant has earned a spot on our must-visit list, and we can’t wait to return for another delightful meal. Highly recommended!
Went to a place called Jacob's Noodle and Cutlet House, so of course I had to have the cutlet-noodle combo. Definitely lives up to the hype. Also got an order or takoyaki. Food was filling, seasoned and prepared well. They make their cutlet sauces in house. The server was very friendly.
What a great gem! I didn't expect to find such a great place in Kamloops. I have eaten quite a few cutlets, thus far, this place is the best in chicken cutlet. I don't know how they make the chicken so moist and tender. Their pork cutlet is one of the best I have tried as well. Their fish cutlet is nice too. Their katsu coating is light and crisp. Their tempura was good too. Also their portion is generous and price is fair. I would recommend those who pass Kamloops definitely try this place!
We came here for lunch on my best friend’s recommendation, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was great and staff were friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend checking this place out. The environment was very nice. We ordered the lunch combo Special D (grilled chicken, veggies, rice, miso soup, salad, and assorted tempura), the Pork Cutlet Combo, and the Chicken Udon Combo, along with the Crazy Boy rolls (deep-fried). Everything was delicious.
As someone who has sampled cutlets across Canada and other Asian countries including Japan, the authentic cutlet from Jacob's in Kamloops is hands-down one of the best I've tried - and the good news is it travels incredibly well for takeout. I ordered the cutlet to-go, and when I opened the container back at home, I was amazed to find that it had retained its perfect crispy exterior and juicy, tender interior. The seasoning in the breading was flavorful without being overpowering, allowing the natural taste of the high-quality meat to shine. The portion size is also very generous, making this an exceptionally satisfying meal even when enjoyed as a takeout dish. It's the kind of comfort food that really hits the spot. What's more, the team at Jacob's clearly puts a lot of care into their takeout packaging. The cutlet was nestled securely, ensuring it stayed warm and intact during the transport. If you find yourself in Kamloops and are craving an authentic, delicious cutlet, I highly recommend ordering the version from Jacob's for a fantastic takeout experience. It's worth going out of your way for - this dish has spoiled me for cutlets anywhere else in Canada.
It’s been awhile since our last visit to Jacob’s Noodle & Cutlet. They do Japanese and Korean dishes, but specialize in katsu. Busy on a Monday (lunchtime) but we were seated quickly. There’s a couple of lunch specials (11:00am-3:00pm). We ordered four lunch specials ($17.00 each) and a salmon oshi ($16.50). Lunch specials come with miso soup, salad, tempura and rice. Chicken cutlet was better than the pork cutlet. Grilled beef was better than the grilled chicken. Spring rolls were run of the mill. Tempura was lightly fried but filling. Green salad was refreshing. Salmon oshi was okay, packed with too much rice.
Must say this is one of the best restaurant in town. I enjoyed all the dishes there. They have pretty much a great variety of dishes with a combination of Japanese and Korean cuisine. The space looks small but somehow so spacious. Even though it is difficult to get a table for 6, we still enjoyed 2 tables of 2 and 4. We didn’t mind though. Will definitely come back.
There are about 200 different cuisines you can choose from and definitely any of them will satisfy you. Unlike other places, their prices are reasonable; their cutlets are tender and juicy. No regrets! "Like the old man said, 'I could eat this all day'."
great food and great value. large servings
Favorite place for Udon noodles (with Chicken Cutlet)!!
This is my go-to spot in Kamloops for 5 years now. Their cutlets are excellent not greasy at all and quality is always consistent. I ve tried cutlets in the newer places and they truly can t compare. My favorite is the fish cutlet combo followed by pork. The only one small thing is when I put in the instructions for no cutlery for takeout orders they always put cutlery in anyways. I don t like wasting one-use utensils so it s quite a hassle
BEST SUSHI IN KAMLOOPS. period
good food and friendly staffs
Place was full so we ordered take out. Quick service, good food will go back Soon. Food : 4/5
Food was surprisingly good for kamloops, I m from Vancouver and this place holds up, I had the juicy pork cutlet, dragon and spider roll and it was good. Service was also good. The only thing that wasn t good was the white people I was with. They wouldn t eat anything I would give them 3.6 stars.
Delicious
I had an amazing fried chicken! It was delicious
Great food, will for sure go back. Small restaurant and busy at dinner time, you may have to wait a bit. Worth it!!
The staff are friendly, the service is attentive, and the food is served quickly.
Up until my last experience, the sushi quality, service and atmosphere were a solid 4-4.5 My last experience has been absolutely terrible, Im not sure if theres new management or what, but the quality of the salmon sashimi we ordered was the absolute worst Ive ever seen and Id be completely embarrassed to serve that in my own restaurant. It was watery, drenched in lemon, smelt fishy, and was recently unthawd. I order Atlantic salmon sashimi whenever I get sushi and have never had this experience. Absolutely disgusting, couldnt even make it through the rest of the meal.
Best chicken cutlet in town! Great sushi rolls too
Delicious bibimbap.
The staff was unfriendly and it took a very long time for the food to come out even after ordering. When I told him to serve the stew soup when it came out so he could eat it warmly, his expression immediately changed to a bad one. I order pork cutlet but they dont give me a knife. I asked him why he didnt give it to me and he said he usually did that. You are a Korean boss, so why don t you train your employees?
The food is delicious and the air conditioning is strong and comfortable Lunch special is a good deal Business is very good during lunch time, so you have to wait for a while to be seated There are also a lot of people taking out food
Thoroughly enjoyed the spicy pork donburi!!
Japanese food opened by Koreans. The sushi is average, just make it up. American flavour. But this is a fried food shop. Is the fried food really good? Spicy seafood udon is spicy ramen with frozen seafood. The overall environment is very good, and it should be a very important restaurant in the town. The bibimbap is also good. There is no wifi at this place.
cutlet pork are surprisingly good! I would guess all the cutlet are good as well
Very good Dietary restrictions: Good Kid-friendliness: Excellent Wheelchair accessibility: Nice
Delicious cutlet in great value! Ordered Fish Cutlet and Pork Cutlet Ramyun. Both are in good portions. Food : 5/5
Really good place!! A lot of choice and fair prices!
Absolutely the best Korean food we have eaten in many years. Bulgolgi and BiBimBap. Service was excellent too. Delicious. I wish I lived in this city! Removed one star for the delivery drivers hanging close to my table. Dont sit close to the door.
Great food and always amazing taste. They improved each time I visited from when they first started the restaurant to now. I love this place for the cutlet!
This is a place I stopped by on the last day of my trip to Canada. It is very close to the bus stop and there is also public parking within a 3-minute walk. The food is also delicious. The lunch set was a good value for money choice.
Came from Kelowna to visit some stores and we were going to skip lunch to head home but I am so glad we found this place instead. This food alone made the 2 hour trip worth it and Id gladly do it again. The chicken karaage was so tender with an amazing sweet sauce, my husbands yakisoba came sizzling in a hot plate that stayed hot the whole meal, and my Pork cutlet donburi was the best donburi Ive ever eaten in my life. I cant put into words how sweet and savory the sauce is. The prices were fantastic for the quality and the portions were massive. 11/10 will come back again. The only downside is its not closer to my home!
This is suppose to be a chicken Don and tereyaki chicken. Basically turned out to be rice and chicken for both. Definitely not made by any Korean. Horrible taste and smell. Came with only 1 miso soup rather than 2. The miso soup was off and had a smell of chicken broth. I witnessed them pouring new miso soup into a cauldron of old miso soup... in what world does that make any sense. Do not come here under any circumstances!!
One of our favourite places to eat as a family!
Super tasty food, fairly priced. Service friendly and attentive. Clear recommendation.
Food was fresh, server didn t come and ask if we wanted more water. Had an empty cup waiting for water. Wasn t asked how the food was. Just felt like it was served and they left us.
One of the best restaurants in town. Friendly staffs, good portion size, value for money.
Food & service was amazing. Ordered Beef Bulgogi and Udon with tempura. One of the best korean food they serve in kamloops. Price is fair. I felt table are pretty close to each other.
Delicious
The food here is absolutely delicious. The service is friendly and fast and the cutlets were unreal. Definitely would recommend checking this place out.
Food was very fresh and the miso soup tasted like homemade miso. Big portion for the price listed. I don t normally leave reviews but this place deserves one!
This is the why we eat of amazing food we search out.... Absolutely delicious, home-cooked, feel good noodles in an amazing broth done right in every single way. It happens to be raining here today, and its like we stepped across the threshold of coming home and having moms love and soul presented before us. The atmosphere is light and calm which is a feat unto itself considering how bustling busy it is here tonight. Service was fast and friendly and flawless. 100% recommend, 100% will be back.
Fantastic food and service every time! Will continue to dine here!! Wish they had a bigger restaurant and more tables.
I could feel the heavenly taste. It was admirable to eat this kind of food at this price. Fantastic! I want to eat every meal here. Thank you always.
Huge portions that is so good and filling!!
The atmosphere was cute. A little hole in the wall restaurant. We had a few dishes. The beef bugogi was great. The chicken karage itself was good but lacked sauce and therefore flavour. However, the spicy ramyum lacked flavour overall and I would not recommend this dish. The service was slow and limited even with only two other tables in the restaurant. We were very excited to try this place but were sadly disappointed after our visit.
Have gotten sick everytime Ive eaten here
Very good noodles and cutlet. Served very hot, great staff
Best udon soup in town
Best Udon Ive had in a very long time. Tempua is exellent as well.
I ordered beef bibimbap to go. Was ready in the time they gave, service was friendly. Cost extra to add egg, good amount of veggies and rice and beef was good. Bit pricy. But they put the spice on the beef and didn t give me any extra incase I wanted it spicier. I still want to give the Katsu a try as I hear it s amazing.
The staff has a bad attitude. We wait for 20 minutes and no one comes to help us order.
Food was not too bad, just a bit salty.
Amazing food ! And great service. One of the best places in Kamloops to eat !
The cutlets and soup noodles are very tasty.
Small eatery in Kamloops, with gr8 food, reasonably priced! Must visit for a quick meal thru town!
Vegetarian options: You ask what your allergies or sensitivity on the type of food is, and they will remove it. Im sensitive to tomato skin, so they took the tomato out of my salad. They do have vegetarian opinions too. Kid-friendliness: My kids really like their pork cutlets, miso soup, and theyre homemade salad.
Great place to eat, highly recommend.
I recommend fork cutlets, soft tofu, and bibimbap. Homemade sauce tastes good. Both the owner and the staff are kind, so my family loves it.Good place! Food : 5/5
What a great place to eat. Ive come here 3 times now with my family, each time I try something new and each time I leave immensely satisfied. All the people who work here are always so friendly, and the presentation is wonderful. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
Average Japanese Korean place in Kamloops
Wowzers! Passing through Kamloops and stopped here for lunch, based on a friend s recommendation. Food was outstanding - we tried seafood udon, ramyun, and a lunch combo with cutlet and tempura. All delicious, simple food executed very well. The service was great too, welcoming & quick.
We were in town for our winter vacation and stopped in at Jacobs. This place is amazing! Everything we ordered was fresh, flavourful and beautifully presented. Service was fantastic as well! We will definitely be back.
Amazing food and friendly staff Kid-friendliness: My kids loved it Food : 5/5 |
Found a huge hair inside of sushi roll. We use to eat here every week, probably a couple times a week. NOT NOW!! Recommended dishes
We must have gone at a bad time. Our first visit after reading all the good reviews and it wasnt that good. We had 3 types of ramyun combos and all 3 of us were disappointed. Broth and noodles without much else added (veggies). Service was disorganized. I feel we paid too much for what we got. We should have tried something else off the menu. Gave them 2 stars instead of one because they were friendly.
Amazing food, and service!
Always consistent, good bang for your $.
Awesome food everytime!
Such good food! The cutlets were amazing! Tender and not greasy at all! The meal options also come with such variety and the prices I have to say are the best in town! I can t wait to have something different next time!
My favourite Korean restaurant in chilliwack. Love the fusion food and the serene vibe. Well designed seating arrangement and the food is impeccable.
One of the best places to eat in Kamloops! Take out is always great too. Everything is always so delicious and fresh. The portions are big and everything is well priced. This will forever be my go-to spot
I showed up at 8 pm on a Friday night. The hours said they close at 9. The server rushed our order saying the kitchen closed at 815. Then they rushed us out of the place, like out the door before 9. They dropped a take out container on the table at 830, like saying its time to go, we want to go home. All in all, terribly disappointing service, it was unpleasant from start to finish. It was rushed, they seemed upset we were there. Nothing about the experience was good.
If you are in Kamloops, must try.
We came here for lunch on recommendation. The restaurant was well attended. We ordered two noodle soups. One vegetarian soup with udon noodles and one with chicken cutlet. Both soups were really excellent, very tasty. The prices were reasonable and the service was very friendly. We would eat here again and recommend to visit the restaurant!
one of the best in kamloops and one of my favourites. really good value, and really yummy food.
I stopped by three times during the trip. Other places were good too. However, there must be a reason when you come back again three times, right?? This is soft tofu Bulgogi Udon Combo Im so satisfied!!! Personally, I have nothing to do with this place. I wrote this because I enjoyed it. please refer to this!!!
Superb
Ordered takeout. Very impressed. Cutlets were amazing - one chicken, 1 pork. Portions were large. Everything was super tasty. Thanks Jacobs.
Not only are their portions generous but the quality of the food is better then expected! This is one of my favourite types of cuisine and Jacob s hits the spot!
A clean dinning room, updated. Food was perfect portion size and cost was average. Food
First time visiting after looking for a sushi place. Ended up eating port cutlets (katsu) We ordered 4 different lunch boxes. Portions are great! For $15.50, this is amazing. Tempura is fresh! Crispy yet no sogginess. And they give you 2 prawn tempura out of 5 tempura?! Love the decor. Bathroom is also clean, wide and pleasing. Would definitely return if I loved nearby
Likely the best sushi Ive eaten. Very fresh with lots of different flavour pairings. Forgive the photo - it was so good we had devoured half the rolls before we thought to get a picture!
Extremely good Korean food! Fast and polite service highly recommended
All in all, it was fine. We had 2 sundubu(Korean soft tofu soup), 1 ramyun & Kamloops cutlet. Sundubu was really good. Taste was just like the way most of Koreans would have expected. Ramyun was so-so.(However, I would not like to order again) Nothing unique about it. Cutlets were also average, maybe I have had better home-made one that are far better than Jacobs. My most disappointment was fish cutlet which seemed to be store bought. Texture of the fish, breading, floor-egg-coating didnt seem fresh enough compared to the one that I used to have for home made. I am not sure if I wanted to come back for different dishes, for I was out of towner who was on the way to Vancouver.
Pretty good. Decent amount of seafood in the seafood ramen. Got the extra spicy though and its not very spicy.
Had a lovely meal but need to try more variety. Will go back, definitely.
One of my favourite restaurant in Kamloops, always good
This place is my new favourite restaurant downtown! The atmosphere is so nice, and the service is so fast! The food was AMAZING I was full and took leftovers home! Will be visiting more often
One of our favorite family downtown dinner spots. Love everything
Staff is great, you get a ton of food and the breading is excellent. Prices are great.
Fast service and excellent food and atmosphere.
Nice place, fast service food was okay
Delicious and so friendly. The prices are very fair, Love this spot and RAMEN ..chef Kiss
Same great quality and presentation every single visit.
A go to stop for a variety of sushi and cutlets. The value is high.
Food is so good and reasonably priced!
The lunch set is incredible. A hearty salad with expertly fried tempura that isn t too oily. Tonkatsu itself is excellent with minimal fat between the juicy pork and crispy breaded skin, with a generous serving of rice and miso soup. All of this for about ~$15 is incredible value. Would eat here again in a heartbeat if I had the chance!
One of my favourite restaurants ever! We are so lucky to have such a good asian cutlet/noodle shop in our town. The sauces they serve with the cutket are to die for. I like the largest order of the classic cutlet (King cutlet), with double sauce because the sauce is amazing (carrot, ginger, sesame, apple?, etc). The cheese lovers cutlet is another I do often as it is like pork culet meets mozza sticks, absolutely amazing and of course very indulgent. Jacobs is a superb restaraunts and I highly suggest visiting them. Get a cutlet, it sounds plain and boring but trust me, it is wonderful. Update: Jacobs has only gotten better and better! The Kamloops Cutlet which includes Chicken, Pork, Fish and Prawns is a fantastic way to try everything under the cutlet umbrella. Their prawns/shrimp and the crispiest flakiest most delicious fried prawns I have had in my life, I highly recommend them. My new current go to order is the Kamloops Cutlet and a Cheese Lovers Cutlet and it keeps me fed for at least 2 days :) Please give Jacobs a whirl and Im sure youll make them a regular addition to your dining experience in Kamloops. Splendid all around. Vegetarian options: Great salads and veggie tempura, and they carry one of my favourites: Seaweed Salad: A savoury sesame flavor with wonderfully textured seaweed. Parking: Street parking is often available but can sometimes be tricky, luckily there are plenty of lots in the near vicinity of street spots arent open.
Three stars only because they are using farmed salmon - this is unsustainable and hurts wild salmon populations. Disappointing.
It was hard to decide what to eat because the menu is large and amazing! The service was fast and the food was great!
Wide selection of Korean/Japanese foods! All the set menu are in great value. Excellent service and reasonably priced items.
This is a restaurant where you can eat rare Korean food. The main menu is Japanese pork cutlet and udon, but Korean food is also good. Parking: There is a paid parking lot one block away. Street parking is free after 6 p.m.
One of the best Asian restaurants in Kamloops
Amazingly delicious! Everything here was fantastic and food arrived very quick. Portions were large, could not finish ours! Next time I m in Kamloops I will come back for sure! Highly recommended!
The bulgogi and tonkatsu were super delicious
We were passing by on the way and dropped in here for lunch. I would say it s average Japanese place. Overly saucy chicken and beef rice. Flavour was good and the tempura was a lot of batter. Presentation was not there.
The nicest little place. Amazing food. Really friendly staff. We were three people and we each had a meal and drink for around $18. Value for money.
Probably our families go-to restaurant for takeout. The menu is so extensive and the quality is always 10/10 every order! People may not even think of them as a sushi place, but as well as the cutlet, ramen, and other dishes they provide, they have arguably the best rolls in town, in my opinion.
The waitress with glasses seems not very happy with her job, serve our dishes with a poker face. Pork cutlet is not bad, but better avoid any sashimi or sushi unless you don t mind the tiny pieces of fish on top of their sushi. I think they simply cut a regular sized sushi in two pieces and serve you six of them that s equivalent to three pieces you can get from other sushi restaurants.
Food is ok. Cutlets are on the dry side other than the fish cutlet. I did not like the sauces they provide with the chicken and pork cutlets. The sauces are unique, but they just don t taste good at all. Service was bad, the two servers look like they didn t even want to be there.
My kid got the ramen and it came with cabbage and broccoli. That destroys the flavor of the broth. Any, and I am serious, ANY dried ramen package from a store is better than that. Its really hard to make a ramen worse than any pre packaged dried ramen. We ordered the real crab california roll. It was completely salty and seemed like the crab was from a can. The tempura was ok.
Absolutely love this place! Its my favourite restaurant in Kamloops! Highly recommend!!
Enjoyed lunch today, had a mix up with one of the orders and they were gracious and accomodating. Noodle dishes and lunch specials you cant go wrong.
Have to return!!!
5 Stars! Jacob s was recommended to us and wow were they right! We popped in as the lunch rush was subsiding, and as soon as a table was cleared it was cleaned and we were seated. The servers were efficient, polite and friendly; a really welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. We tried the chicken cutlet (very good!), the ramen (very good), the Beef Udon (incredible!) California and dynamite rolls (good), and chicken cutlet yakisoba (very good). The meal was so fresh, tasty and delicious that we came back the next day! Same great service, fantastic food and friendly vibe the next day. Highly recommended!
Nice fried pork cutlets. Wish they can provide more salad to balance it up, like the true Japanese style version.
Im almost certain the donburi is Mr Bens rice and Costco chicken burgers cut up. Miso was bland. Sushi wasnt anything to write home about. Others who ordered where almost certain it was all microwaved.
The food was delicious!
Just had last dinner in Kamloops, was great food and service. Very busy place, food took a little time....but well worth the wait.
I recently went to Jacobs Noodles for my first time, and was just so impressed with the quality of food at an affordable price.. The professional customer service I received was exceptional...This is a restaurant that will be a go to in the future!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant and would like to thank them for making a difference, in our community!!
Vegetarian options: We had the curry cutlet, tofu, edamame and veggie tempura, they have upped their sauces. Recommended dishes
I cant say much about dine in since Ive never been into the restaurant but the pork cutlet combo with the salad, sushi, soup, shrimp and dipping sauces is SO GOOD. Ive ordered in 3 times now and its so friggin delicious! *editing to change my review after noticing the dinner specials have gone up $5 in the last few months. They were worth it for $24 but Im not paying $29 before tax and tip and delivery fee for a small dinner special. Its a shame cuz I really like the place but thats absurd and way overpriced.
Good food, good service. Highly recommend.
Fantastic food, friendly service. Great for vegetarians, I had the veggie udon combo with the spicy upgrade which was delicious and very filling Vegetarian options: Great range of veggie options, either tofu or vegetables Dietary restrictions: We had someone with an onion allergy and they were very happy to adjust dishes to fit
Still the best restaurant in Kamloops. Such quick and friendly service, quiet and cozy atmosphere. And the food is always perfect-- I highly recommend the Don Tempura Roll and the Cheese Spicy Chicken Bulgogi.
My niece & I ate here last summer & we both agreed that everything was AMAZING
Not recommend at all! The waitress spiled all over my legs and my phone hot soup! It can happen but she just said sorry and didnt do anything to fix it! My trousers are destroyed and hopefuly my phone will work. She didnt even seem to be sorry. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. My boyfriend tried a little bit of his food and it was mediocre. Update: My phone doesnt work properly. Sorry wont probably fix it. Neither my trousers. You completely ruin my day and it was beginning of my birthday trip. Repeating being sorry wont change anything. I have worked as a server in 3 different countries, 2 continents and there was always something we could do extra than just say sorry. Especially when we ruined someone elses belongings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pork katsu was some of the best I ve had with a classic sauce in addition to a very unique ?butternut squash sauce. Absolutely delicious. Udon and salad were very tasty too. The cheesy sushi roll was interesting, definitely not a usual combo but it worked!
Amaaaazing food the best cutlet & noodle place in Kamloops if you want to taste authentic korean and japanese food i highly recommend this place. My daughter is so happy with her Cheese Cutlet, and my son got the Spicy pork which is sweet and spicy, the Udon is always amazingly savory and spicy! Servers are so friendly and attentive too! If you ever in Kamloops you shouldnt miss this spot. Parking: Accessivle parking spot nearby
You guys hit it hard, right? Its so delicious that its open on Sundays too
Solid menu and great service. Its no wonder this place has been busy every time we visit. Look forward to trying something new next time.
Staff were friendly. Restaurant was small and quaint. Very nice environment and the staff were friendly. The food was great! I had the spicy pork bulgogi. Yum! Well likely go back one more time before returning to the states.
Quite possibly one of the worst meals I ve ever had. The whole thing was mushy and lacked flavor, even the sides. I had a few bites but it was so gross so I couldn t finish it. Now I need to order food from somewhere else. Super disappointing!
Great food and service
I love it
I ordered the pork cutlet combo for dinner and it was divine. The salad was delicious and fresh with a good assortment of vegetables and the dressing was nice. Dynamite roll was also good and the sauces for the cutlet were excellent. Prices were Fair and service was friendly. Place was busy.
A Kamloops must try! Lots of yummy options on the Japanese Korean menu. The chopped scallop is very tasty and reasonably priced. Bulgogi beef and spicy bulgogi bibimbap are featured in the photos and of course we didn t miss a bite! So cool to see the food cooking in front of you in the stone bowl! Note: you add your own sauce so you can control the heat to your liking!
We had dinner at Jacobs Noodle & Cutlet and the service was good. We ordered a tuna & salmon combo, pork cutlet combo, beef udon combo, pork cutlet ramyun, and cheese lover pork cutlet. The tuna & salmon combo was good but it was on the small side. The cheese lover pork cutlet was good with lots of cheese for cheese lovers .
Never been dissapointed from this place. Been good for years. Food is unique tasting
Price, very reasonable...we ordered to go as we were driving through town, glad we found this place
The service was great, I ordered the curry cutlet and it was amazing, and it was also such a great price for the large portion size.
a must try! large portion sizes for the price (each dish was around $11-17) and the cutlet is perfectly cooked, still moist but crispy and golden. service was fast as well!
Great service and timely served. And the food tasted amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The food is not bad. But the service is so so. I think maybe they are too busy so forget our water even two servers came asked us what we want to drink before. We ask for bowl many time until they finally understand.
Everything is good
Cozy and quiet. Try chicken cutlets; it is worth it.
One of my favorite restaurants ever. The cutlets and ramen are delicious paired with sake. We all enjoyed our meals.
Super busy. A great sign.
The food is okay. I gave 4 stars for the service we had was awesome, perhaps it wasnt a busy day thats why we had a nice and quick server. The place was simple. I loved their house roll. Tried their Chicken Cutlet and miso soup which were okay.
We enjoyed the atmosphere and decor. Food came fairly quickly and portion size was great, especially if you order a combo meal! Will definitely stop by again!
Unexpected !! Yummy and Reasonable price~ The portion size is big and many choices of the menu!
We picked this place because we wanted cheap and fast. It succeeds on both these counts. Pretty large portions too. Its reasonably priced food; it was decent quality (and I will come back again to try it because of the owners response). Hubby found his food on the salty side. The take out was packaged really well so everything was still hot and crisp when we arrived at the park. We ordered a chicken cutlet don, 2 pork cutlet don, and two pork cutlet yakiudon. Even with the cutlet sitting on my saucy noodles, they were crispy and yummy. **Edited in response to the owner - sorry I didnt mean to hurt your feelings!
Reasonable price And taste
Ordered the pan fried chicken noodle dish. The chicken was not fresh. Tasted like a refrigerator. It came with 2 small pieces of broccoli, cabbage and onions. The noodles were good, and tender. Portions were small . Price was fair. It was really busy and we only saw the waitress when she took our order and brought us our bill. This place was rated top in the top 10 restaurants in Kamloops. I should of read the reviews better. Atmosphere was loud and crowded. I did let the waitress know that I was not pleased with my dish and it was taken off the bill. Nice gesture however the dining experience was below par. Dietary restrictions: I believe they use msg in their food. I had a bad stomach ache after the meal. Parking: No parking at restaurant.
Great service and delish food
Delicious as always
Mmm pork cutlet udon
Delicious food! Its busy because it is so good but he staff all work really hard to get you your food in a timely fashion.
My go to fav downtown restaurant! Great variety of Japanese and Korean dishes with prices to match. Super yummy!
The staff are super friendly, the cutlet salad, bulgogi and spicy salmon roll were all superb! I wish I were staying in Kamloops longer just so I could go back to try more of the menu!!
Awesome! The reviews were good, but I came without high expectations. It was a great restaurant. The taste, price, and staff were all good. Shrimp tempura, pork cutlet udon combo, fish cutlet... were all delicious and the price was reasonable. If you are coming to Banff, make sure to stop by. Please check
Food is usually great. Sushi is awesome for takeout, while their bibimbab is awesome for eating in. Ive always had good experiences with the staff too.
Jacob s never disappoints! We live in Abbotsford but go out of our way to visit every chance we get. Been coming here since they opened 8 years ago and have never had a bad meal. The dinner combos are amazing. So much food and a great price. I will have cutlet dreams tonight
This food was amazing! This is a definition of comfort food. Tasty, well plated and good portions. The restaurant is small but cozy and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.
Although the food is good the service is terrible, you have to wait 40 plus minutes for you order.
I really liked the food, the service is fast and the staff is very friendly, the place is in a good location, affordable prices. Live translation
Service was good and attentive. Cute little cozy spot. The food was okay. I got the seafood udon, it was very bland and flavourless, I had to add spices to make it flavourful. The shrimp tasted like it had freezer burn. The chicken katzo was really good, the best part of the meal. This is what they are famous for!
Wow, this place is a true hidden gem. I walked/ drove past this place so many times wanting to try it cause of how cozy the atmosphere looked. I regret sleeping on this place for so long because the portions is amazing and the food is so delicious. We definitely ordered hungry and ordered a lot to eat for two people. I ordered the dinner special D and my boyfriend ordered the spicy udon. I d highly recommend this place to out of town visitors.
Warm and cozy with delicious and varied menu! Very friendly and efficient service.
Great service, very good food, generous portion, reasonable price.
Have tried just about every restaurant in Kamloops and this is by far the most underrated one. Highly affordable, extremely great taste and awesome presentation of food. Will definitely recommend to others. Not to mention their menu is huge and all our appetizers and entrees came out perfectly executed. I find a lot of ethnic places here have sold out and now charge big dollars due to lack of competition. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent food, highly recommend.
Ive had the bulgogi, and bulgogi soup. Both very good. Will try the actual cuttlet next time. Good value, and quality here.
Simple dishes were done well. The cutlet tasted very fresh and service was fast.
