I love going to Casa Azul not only the food and the drinks are delicious but also a very fun place specially with their Salsa Weekends I highly recommend!

Such a happy environment, delicious food and a beautiful getaway to Mexico without leaving Kamloops!

The vegetarian chimichanga was delicious! Complimentary chips are nice. I have to give the service room for improvement, as we came when it was 40 degrees out, and werent offered water until we asked for it.

Had lunch the other day with my friend, food was great. Service was not so. So I thought to go again with a bunch of friends. It was 25 of us, food took forever to come, but my food never came! 45 minutes had past only to be informed that they ran out of the food to make my order. Really!?!?!? 45 minutes ! Hungry and disappointed, the owner attempted to explain his dilemma, it was weak and lame. A customer is not interested in hearing about the lack of staff. Really it was a lack of communication, readiness and know how. Pathetic, I DO NOT RECOMMEND for anyone to eat here, it s a hit and miss, a coin toss on what one may receive. Never again!

The food was far below average. The chili rellenos were full of dry, bland meat (and no cheese) and they were cold on the inside. The margaritas (jalapeño lime and regular lime) were also lacking flavour and tasted very watered down. The service was great and friendly & the server removed the chili rellenos from the bill. If they could get the food to match the atmosphere and service they d have a winning combo.

THIS RESTAURANT AND STAFF ARE ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! They hosted us for an 80th birthday and could not have been more warm and welcoming and truly the food was AMAZING! Sooo good! Authentic and delicious Mexican food - each of us ordered different dishes and we each raved about how amazing the food was (and portions!!)!! We truly felt like part of the family - so welcomed and the Decor is just gorgeous bright colorful and feels like a slice of Mexico happy and gorgeous!! thank you Casa Azul for making such a beautiful special and memorable time for my Dad s 80th!! We can t wait to come back!!

Authentic Mexican food is very tasty! Birria tacos are amazing, chiles rellenos and churros very yummy too. Agua de horchata so good and refreshing. As a Mexican from Mexico City myself I fully recommend Casa Azul! Service is excellent, thank you Cesar for your excellent attention and service.

The food was extremely dry and lacked flavour. The margarita I had was also flavourless and tasted watery. The atmosphere was average, the servers were wonderful. I would not go back.

Travelling through Kamloops and Casa Azul was recommend by the fella at the front desk of my hotel. This place did not disappoint! The service was friendly and helpful and the Chimichanga and Margaritas were DELISH! 5 stars for this little family run restaurant!

Probably the best Mexican restaurant in town. Excellent service and food, and I believe its owned by an actual Mexican family so its authentic. They speak English, but will gladly speak Spanish to you, if youre so inclined. Highly recommend.

Came by between 2 and 3 pm on a Saturday, wasnt busy at all. Noone greated me for about 10 minutes. Then i spent the whole time being made to feel like i was being rushed out. Finished my first drink and wasnt offered another, was asked if i was still eating AS i was infact still eating (fork in hand and foof in mouth). Then was brought out the bill before i was ready. Food was ok but waaaaayyy6 overpriced and ive had better. Dont recommend

Rather disappointing. We know our Mexican food and this was subpar. Even the refried beans were a dry ,cool lump on the plate. $80 for three lunches hurt even more. Burrito was burned on the bottom. Staff was great though, very cheerful and the drinks passing by looked good.

My parents thoroughly enjoyed the authentic Mexican cuisine during our visit. The service was excellent and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. I haven t eaten at a Mexican restaurant for a while so I was glad we chose this one for lunch.

I had to pass through Kamloops on my way to Vancouver, but as I had a the entire afternoon to kill before my flight, I decided to look for a Mexican food restaurant as I was in the mood. The reviews for this place were very high so I thought I would give it a try. First off, the food is very, very tasty. The tacos were delicious. That said, I found the staff to be very inattentive as I waited for almost 20 minutes before being asked for my order. It seems like this place is just meant as a hang out location for the Latinas in the city as customers tend to take a back seat. The early 20s Mexican girl was super rude...

No utensils or napkins with takeaway orders, tortillas were soggy and pork was dry. Beans and rice were tasty and portions were good, but it s far cry from what it used to be.

On our way passing through Kamloops, we decided to try mexican restaurant and Casa Azul came up in our google search with 4.4 rating. My experience doesnt confirm this rating. The quality of food and service for the price was poor. Our Fajita and quesadillas were both bland without any adequate seasoning. As a minimum they dont even leave salt and pepper on the tables for the people to add some taste to the bland food. Tortillas are served in a very cheap plastic container that looked to be made from heavily recycles junk plastic. Even the sides including salsa and guacamole were bland. Nobody without any kitchen experience can make a bland salsa. Tortilla chips came with a dip that was practically a gravy instead of some refreshing mexican salsa or guacamole. Our previous maxican restaurant experience in Langley was fantastic and unfortunately this restaurant doesnt come close. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this experience. The following could be improved: 1- Please taste the food before serving. Check food provided by other competitors. 2- Use other recipes for sides. Even YouTube recipes provide better results. 3- Replace all the plastic baskets and containers with wood equivalent. It doesnt cost that much and improves the image of serving quality. 4- Adjust the price or improve the overall quality, portion size and service to match.

The servers were really friendly and attentive, but we were disappointed with the food. The portions were very small and expensive for the amount of food and the quality. Didnt find the food to be very tasty. Would not come back.

Real mexican experience with lots of options. Attractive Mexican staff and decor. Even the TV plays mexican music videos.

It was good! I thought the frozen mango margarita would be a bit more frozen but it was still a good margarita. The pastor taco was yummy but the meat was a little bit dry. The service and decor are really cute though!

What a joke this restaurant is, tried to give it a second and third try. This time, drove 45min into town and they are closed! On a Tuesday and 6pm. No note on the door, nothing. Typical service from this restaurant

Stopped in while staying overnight in Kamloops on business. Lovely little place, nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Lots of veggie options, delicious chimichangas!

We stopped here for lunch to break up our road trip. We sat outside and the food was great. The service was good and quick and lots to choose from on the menu.

We waited for a long time to get served. Food was ok, but nothing special.

Mole wasnt 100% it was okay tinga was fire service wasnt all the great we had a young man helping us we asked for to go boxes he never brought them to pay the bill he took forever to bring I understand we werent drinking but u supposed to give everyone the same service

We figured we would give this place a try since we had heard good things about it.. Service was good. Beer was a bit on the expensive side. Empenadas were really tasty. Unfortunately the Chimichangas were served to us cold. When we were paying our bill we mentioned it and was told they had been having problems with that... Seems to me if you cant serve something right you shouldnt be serving it. And no offer of a discount or anything... Wont be back... Several other really good restaurants on that block

Pretty good, I said I wanted something with lots of cheese and I got chicken wrapped in fried cheese. It was tasty and maybe a little to much cheese. If there is such a thing. I ordered a strawberry Margherita and it came in a nice big glass and it was filled with slushy about an inch over the rim. Since I wasnt drinking it fast enough it was melting and overflowing, the waitress saw that and was quick with a wipe. The only problem was I wasnt drinking it fast enough lol. I am forgetting the names of the dishes we ordered. I hadnt seen my cousin in 50 years so the menu wasnt top of mind. I asked her how her meal was and she said it was good but not what she expected then again she hasnt done mexican much before. We ended up at this restaurant just because we parked in front of it. She said what do you want to have and I looked up and saw Caza Azul and said mexican. The place is nicely laid out, we didnt have to listen to the people at the next table. It was clean and the waitress was friendly and prompt. I would say it was busy for downtown Kamloops on a Sunday just the right number of people to create an atmosphere that was pleasant. I glanced at the menu and did catch some of the prices and thought they were a little high but on par for authentic Mexican fare. I didnt see the bill, I tried to pay but my cousin won, I knew it would be high for a 2 person lunch. It was over $50. Overall, if your looking for good food, nicely portioned and tasty as well as good service, I recommend Caza Azul in Kamloops. Its a gem. Parking: Street parking is free on Sunday

Ordered enchiladas (and other dishes) on two separate occasions and the food tasted quite bland and not good for such a high rating. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time thinking that maybe it was busy or something, but unfortunately it was no better the second time. Probably not deserving of a 1 star rating overall but maybe 3 overall.

I only recently found this restaurant. After my first visit, I had to order the exact same dish for fear I wouldnt get the same authentic dish. So good.

Decided to try Casa Azul when our other pick had a long wait. We were greeted and seated right away. Complimentary chips and salsa verde was delicious! Ordered an enchilada and a quesadilla. Service was super quick. Food was really tasty. Unfortunately forgot to grab a pic until too late. Much more on the menu still to try. We will be back. Thanks

The best Mexican food I ve had outside of Mexico. Excellent service. We were seated immediately and food came out quite quickly. We came for dinner one night and had to come back for breakfast. Both meals were filling and delicious. Definitely coming back next time we re in town!

The positives... Food was very good, atmosphere is fun, and service was friendly. The not so positives... Its on the pricey side for what you get and they made a mistake with an order then made that person wait way too long to get their order even though it was perhaps the simplest thing on the menu (a burrito). Its the little things that matter and I feel like they missed them.

This is a typical Mexican restaurant. The ambience and the food is perfect for sharing with family or friends. Carolina was our waitress and she was very kind and friendly. I ordered chimichanga and it was such a big and delicious dish. Even two people can get full with a single dish

Our first experience was good.. Very busy but were short staff. They messed up my food :( but they were polite. I was just sad to see how much they were struggling with staff. Will return because of the service provided even after being so short staffed.

Casa Azul came recommended. We were traveling between the Rockies and Seattle. Lesson learned...reservations are recommended. A couple with reservations 2 hours before were seated on their arrival at 700?? A little disorganized but once we had a table the food was excellent and the wait staff were working hard to meet everyones needs. In the downtown area.

I have lived in different parts of the world and I always like to visit Mexican restaurants I am Mexican and this restaurant caught me as the taste of the food is authentic. The attention is excellent, I recommend it.

If youre a foodie or receive great pleasure from flavor, find yourself here. I have traveled across the country and attest that Casa Azul is the best authentic Mexican food I have had, by a long haul. What an incredible depth of flavor in everything I was served. Had the chimichanga and not really wanting to eat anything else ever again. The salsa, the pico, heck even the guac was just spectacular. A lot of hard work and so much love clearly going into these dishes. You can taste it!!! Great portions that wont break the bank. But you will leave wanting more even if you think youve had enough. Just sad I didnt find this place sooner! We had takeout and food was still hot and crispy. Just a perfect meal. We will be choosing dine in next time we stop by as Id love to see these dishes plated up! I leave this review with three last words: Take. My. Money.

Delicious food, had a large crowd so when came to meal time orders were getting mixed up but after a fee tries it was fixed

We ordered a pickup order while travelling through the area and the entrees didnt come with some of the items that they were supposed to. Also, the amount of tortilla chips that came with the salsa and guacamole were very few, and the guacamole tasted store bought and old. The entrees tasted ok but overall, not impressed.

Was not disappointed with the most delicious tacos you had to offer as well as your signature drinks. The service was amazing and our ball team will definitely return each year!!

Food was OK. Just dont order churros!! They were hard to eat, I had to use the ice cream they serve it with to be able to chew it.

While other dishes looked to be a good size, the veggie fajitas were extremely small for the price. Small amount of veggies and tiny sauces, no rice/beans and only a few tortillas. Needed to get more food right after- very overpriced. Waitress was nice and friendly!

A little delight in downtown Kamloops! Amazing service, delicious food and the very cutest atmosphere! Loves it here and so glad we stumbled upon it on our very short visit. Kid-friendliness: The kids meals were perfect portion sizes and when our dessert took a bit longer than anticipated they also brought our an extra cup of ice cream.

Friend ordered no cilantro on pork tacos. Got cilantro placed on top of tacos. He s allergic to cilantro. Server argued that cilantro came mixed in with the pork. Then we asked why cilantro was placed on top as extra. Server argued back that they can change it. We said no cause we had already waited 48 minutes for our food. He picked the cilantro out. Also my tacos kept falling apart. Never went in with a knife and fork to tacos before until here.

Super good food, drinks were amazing

Quiet mexican place in Downtown Kamloops. Decent portion burrito with good amount of beans and rice. The beef was a crispy steak. The mild salsa had an interesting taste. Only critique was the tortilla was a bit tough or doughy.

This is my first review but, I have never been more compelled to compliment a burrito so much! It s only been 20 mins since. I am a burrito phonetic! It was so good it made me grateful about life! Can t recommend enough! Authentic, flavourful and savoury! Competition doesn t have a chance!
