The worst hamburger that I have eaten. It was on the same level of a bad fast food restaurant hamburger but at a much more inflated price. Had no taste, was soggy and the presentation was sparse. They also got my drink order wrong. Server was pleasant. Friends salad was tasteless. How disappointing.

Always great food, service & atmosphere! Tried the tandoori popcorn chicken (yum) and the razzle dazzle beer (so sour, so good). And for dinner, our faves - the Bright Eye burger!

Bright Eye has some decent pub food, though Ive had some pretty sub-par experiences with some of their more adventurous menu options. Id recommend ordering the more classic dishes here. The beer options are okay, though I dont particularly like any of them personally. The overall energy and atmosphere of the place is the best part of the business imo, and can be quite fun.

The best craft beer in Kamloops hands down! In a brand new build, this brewery is so spacious its impossible not to find the vibe youre looking for from patio, to games room, tasting room with all the brewing equipment or a casual diner. Their beer selection was so diverse, my friends and I all found several beers we loved. In a smaller town you dont expect to find such well crafted big city brews that can assuredly hold their own with the big breweries in Vancouver. For the best brews in Kamloops, its Bright Eye without a doubt...

I want to like this place - it s nicely put together, but have found that I ve always walked away with something to complain about. Whether it s indifferent service, or lousy food (I ve sent food back twice there now). Stay on script, order a burger, a pale ale, and you ll be ok. Your mileage may vary.

Brighteye is one of my favorite spots, great atmosphere and really friendly service. LOVE the food and the fact they have awesome vegetarian options. Only complaint I have is the brunch pizza and the hail Ceasar pizza were both some of the best pizzas in Kamloops and I was very sad to see they were removed from the menu.

After lengthy discussions with both our server AND a manager about menu items that either were or could be modified to be gluten free, and even changing my initial order to avoid cross contamination - I wound up going with the burger on a lettuce wrap and the Brussels sprouts (both of which the menu says can be made GF) After departing and almost instantly feeling an allergic reaction coming on I called to let the establishment know - and it was at this time they decided to inform me they are fried in the same fryer as other items containing gluten (after recommending I not eat the gluten free pizza because it s cooked in the same oven). Folks need to understand how cross contamination actually works before claiming any item on their menu could be gluten free. And while folks with dietary restrictions always understand we run the risk when dining out, this particular situation was especially ridiculous. And the bottom line is, when you re dealing with these types of modifications - your mistakes could hurt someone and make them extremely sick. This establishment obviously doesn t take that seriously. This is a huge oversight - especially after already modifying my initial order due to concerns about cross contamination. Wouldn t trust this establishment with dietary concerns of any kind as there is obviously a limitation to how much servers (or managers?) know about how food is prepared. Dietary restrictions: This restaurant does not appear to be able to safely accommodate dietary restrictions.

I had a great time checking out Bright Eye. The food was great, the drinks were good. I cant wait to come back again.

I was just passing through for a couple of days and happened upon this brewpub. The staff took good care of me and my Golden Retriever on the terrace. The beer and food were excellent.

We had the best time at Ellas drag brunch! Its a must see event. Rebellious unicorns puts on a fabulous and hilarious show.

Beer was cold, but so was the food. Waited over an hour and it was cold. Also, my chair was broken. I left grumpy.

Wow, I this place is a great find. Large, and rotating selection of craft beer, cider and wine. The Krisp 1 larger and Throwback IPA were good. Food- Brunchable pizza and chicken waffle were really good and well thought out. Dog friendly patio. Kid friendly place. Staff look happy. 5 stars!!!

My oh my. Any beer aficionados should definitely make time to see (and taste) this location. Fantastic beers, and not only IPAs but many different varieties. Possibly the best in Kamloops. Bonus! Food was great too.

Variety of beer and what is actually on tap is limited when weve visisted.... gone 3 times in the last month since I do like the beer.... but trying to get table service or even knowing who your server is makes you want to walk out. No flights, and 18oz are on the highest price level of $9.

Consistently the best drinks and food at any Kamloops brewery. The environment is top-notch, and the service is great. Without a doubt, it is the best brewery in town.

Been here a few times now and done takeout, the food is THAT GOOD The service provided by Chris was impeccable and the Brew burgers, brussels sprouts, vegan popcorn chicken, pretzels with beer cheese dip, Sriracha popper dip, and vegan Poboy were to die for. We did not enjoy the vegan phish n chips as they were greasy & incredibly bland. Their homemade ketchup is fantastic! We don t drink so didn t try the beer. Our only negatives were that we didn t find the spot conductive to conversation as it is extremely loud/noisy and we were there in mid afternoon. Unfortunately we found the chairs very low and hard and uncomfortable so not the best for people with bad backs/knees or mobility issues. Parking is not the easiest and there can be a lot of druggies in the area so just be aware of that. Takeout for us personally is the best option. Online ordering system is troublesome. Way easier to call in your order. A cool funky spot with a fun vibe for sure!! Thanks so much Bright Eye for coming to the North Shore and being such a great creative tasty well run restaurant. The North Shore needs reviving desperately and you are certainly helping with that in a huge way! Everybody we talk to loves your place and are so glad you are here!!

Good beer and service. Didnt like that the bar section was closed. My favorite part of bars is sitting and talking to other people and the bartenders. Kinda sucked to be at a table by myself so dont think Id come back unless they open up the bar seating again.

Food is great. Beer is fantabulous. I love the atmosphere. It would have been a 5 for Bright Eye if the server wasnt a robot and felt the need to ask about my plans for the rest of the day while I was paying. I know you dont care about my day. Cut the small talk and instead be real. Bright Eye is a 5/5 but Emily F disappointed me when she had to conclude the interaction by being scripted. It cheapened my experience.

As someone who isn t from Kamloops and rarely comes, I decided to ask some of my friends on some recommendations on places to try since I m here and they suggested Bright Eye Brewing and I decide to give it a try. I was not disappointed at all, I tried the Razzle Dazzle (my favourite), Blueberry Pill and the Strawberry Fields, along with the Throwback Burger. Everything was enjoyable and Megan was great to deal with.

Such an awesome place. The kindest staff I have encountered and the beer was spectacular. They definitely mastered the fruit forward beers! Absolutely pet friendly as well. All the staff were happy to see and treat our fur baby. Highly suggested if visiting Kamloops area! Thanks again, Bright Eye Brewing, for your wonderful hospitality.

Im never disappointed here. Place was near full for the friday dinner crowd, but we snagged a table for two immediately and food was reasonably fast. As usual, food was delicious. We had the queso dip to start, and the throwback and bright eye burgers-me with the brussels on the side because I have to have the brussels! Thanks for the date night treat bright eye!

A small group of 4 of us showed up at the opening hour and was seated and served drinks and our order was taken shortly after that. Then the gong show started. We all ordered from the brunch menu and we questioned the waitress several times about our food when we noticed several people arriving after us getting their food before us. Excuses and more excuses. Finally an hour later we questioned the staff again about our food and the response was 5-6 minutes it will be ready. We timed it and again nothing. I walked over to the serving area and they had not even started our order. Never again. Lots of better places to eat in the area with great service

The beer was good. We sat at the bar. The best part about it was watching the girls work together. Theyre really synergistic and hard working. I was impressed. Ill go back one day if I come around Kamloops again.

Ive had burgers from NY to LA. Italy to Alberta. But hands down this was the best burger(s) Ive had. ( I ate two) I honestly think I shed a tear . So good.

Everything has changed and updated since the time I made my original review. Basically the new rundown is that its hard to go wrong with any beer or menu item. Everything is unique, interesting, and well worth trying. The expanded side is fantastic.

Probably the best place to eat in Kamloops never disappoints

Somcoe IPA is a delight to have. Their fruity beers are a must have as well.

I am torn on what to rate this place. The beer was quite good. The predictable chicken burger was just okay, and at $22 way overpriced. $9 for a beer is incredibly steep as well. We were part of a large group so the food took ages and it took literally 45 min to pay. I get that things run slowly with a large group but this seemed excessive, especially the wait to pay. My bill never came then stood in line at the till for nearly 30 minutes with only *6* people in front of me. I still tipped well knowing the staff were working hard but not including tip $55 for two chicken burgers and one beer was insane. Sure I knew the price before I ordered but I guess at this price I expected the food to completely blow my mind. An $8 KFC chicken burger is regretfully more enjoyable.

Our waitress and food work great! But the hostess dropped my plate of food on the table and nearly on my lap and barely apologized. She seemed to have a I don t care attitude the hole time.

Awesome brewery. I tried the strawberry and blueberry sours and capped off with the pear saison. No regrets. The buffalo wings were pretty good too.

Always seems to be a disappointing experience here. Burnt tasting food (pic- fish was so dark and old oil burnt tasting), terrible service, we didnt get things we ordered, and unprofessional management. Only thing good are the drinks, if they bother to take your drink order. So many things wrong and this isnt the only experience. If you come here, maybe stick to drinks only and hope you get decent service.

This place was amazing! When my family came through here for dinner we had no idea the food and beer would be so incredible! The food, cost, atmosphere, bathrooms, beer, and service were all exceptional! I got their house made Ramon and it was the best I d ever had. The service here was just wonderful and it was some of the best I ve ever had at a restaurant. This place was incredible and I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to everyone!

I liked the cold as ice ipa. My wife enjoyed the peaches pale ale. The burger was good but the fries were below average. PS the home made ketchup was out of this world!!! My ratings: 1 star - do not go here! Stay away!! 2 stars - I do not recommend it. 3 stars - alright to good. I would not return here but you MAY enjoy it. 4 stars - I recommend it! Yes, I d like to return. 5 stars - drop everything now and come here! You are missing out fo shizzle!!

Quite a detailed review as I can see this being an amazing place, they just miss the mark on fixable items. First I love the 3 atmospheres and table types provided. Bar seating, casual and slightly better for eating. The problem though is the size means there is no cohesion in the wait staff. One side was dead and the other busy, but front of house was not very dynamic. Also the music should be turned lower on the dinner side. We went there so my senior father could hear me and the volume was as loud as the bar side. Beer was good but a huge pet peeve, especially in a brewery, is not getting the 1st drinks out quick. We waited almost 10 minutes after ordering. This is just unacceptable. It wasnt that busy, there were staff doing nothing and it soured our experience. That first drink allows you time to relax and think and not look like a bored idiot. I thought this was maybe our waiter or section, but the exact same thing happened to other tables around me with other staff. Front of house needs a re-education on how to run a bar. Food was overall good but pricey. Homemade Katsup was sublime and complex. Please do not dumb this down, this was the best part of our experience. Burger was good, but chicken burger was too pricey for what you get. Texture over taste, lots of crunch but I really didnt taste the chicken at all as the protein was too small. Also not all that spicy. Food came out faster than beer. Kitchen seems to be on point. Lots of flies buzzing in the dining room. Although hard to fix if they just arrived, not hard if you just buy a zapper and use overnight. The beer was solid and location pleasant. I will give them a try again when in the area, but if they dont fix their service issues it may be my last.

Great space. Open concept with lots of natural light. Beer was decent although over priced for what you get. Its always nice to get 20oz pours. All the food that we had was great with a good selection of plates to share. This place is a great addition to the North Shore. Hope to see more like this.

The food was not bad but not amazing. The service was pretty good also. The night that I went there was karaoke, which was fun but the music before and during the performance was very loud and made everyone at the surrounding tables have to yell to be heard which made people at other tables yell louder to be heard over the other people yelling. The highlight and absolute delight of my experience at Bright Eye was the Koffee Krisp stout beer. Loved it! Another neat feature of this restaurant is that you can order singles of flight sized beers so you can try different drinks without having to order an entire glass of it. I really appreciate this option and it is the first/only time I have ever encountered this. Well done Bright Eye! I wouldnt go here again, but it was a neat experience.

This brewery has the best beer in Kamloops. They are creative and innovative, and don t limit sweets or sour beers just for the summer. The food is good if you can find something that you enjoy, but their menu is small but They have perfected everything on it. Highly recommended

Extremely exceptional food for a brewery, really good service, and with delicious beer to boot. On the pricey side, but worth it, and in a rough part of town(watch where you park), but hey - without businesses like theirs, it would stay rough forever, Ill be going back for sure.

Great beer and a unique menu!!

I have been coming here multiple times a month, ever since I moved to Kamloops in 2020. This place never disappoints. Their sour fruit beers are some of the best beers I have ever had. I love the different combinations they come up with, also the names are funny and clever. The service is always good, I have yet to have bad service. On top of that, the food is incredible. The Throwback burger is by far the best burger in Kamloops. Its the only thing I have ever ordered off their menu. The rest of the food looks great but I can never pass up and opportunity for a Throwback. I am excited to see what new beer flavours you come up with this summer. Cheers!

Absolutely amazing food and beer. The spicy poutine was one of the best Ive had and the ipa I tried was top notch. The staff were all freindly and attentive, great atmosphere and decor. I Will definitely be back the next time Im in town

I have not had a bad meal or service yet in Bright Eye, I was in yesterday for lunch and the staff could not have been nicer, we were greeted at the door by a young man and welcomed into the restaurant, we sat down and our server Tawny came right away, we ordered a Neapolitan Pizza and shared it, it was so good, I should have taken a pic, thank you Tawny for your service, and great food, this is why we keep coming back and telling people about you

Excellent food, but odd service. I was told they have a special involving pickle ice cream with a side of peanut cookies. I tried to order it but asked them to just hold the cookies (peanut allergy) and was told they wouldnt sell me one due to limited quantities. Why the didnt just toss the cookies, or give more to the next person I dont know.

Everything here is amazing. Hazy IPA, current sour, the burgers are the best in town. This is what Kamloops has been waiting for.

Great place , modern interior design and descent foods. However the room with a high ceiling faded music in noises. The waiters check on you frequently and the dishes come to your table quickly.

Interior is decent, bathrooms are generally kept up. Beer is good. Staff are fine. Food, well this is 1 of 2 cons. It is quite expensive for what you get. The chicken burger was $18 for only SLIGHTLY elevated ingredients. Inflation, lease, kids needing to get paid, utilities, insurance is all part of it I know. But next time the beer will be my only order. The second con, location. The building itself isnt bad at all. New. Up to the sad code of BC probably. But the traffic and non ambitious folk roam the street. Hopefully the neighborhood will get better.

Decent food, had a pulled pork burger here, good fries dipping sauce that they must make. The building makes it look small from the outside but the interior is quite large and has nice aesthetics to look at while you eat

Great place to spend a few hours with friends. Beer selection was pretty good, maybe too many sours though. Pizza selection was great and are a good size, an excellent option if you are hungry. Friendly staff and lots of parking nearby.

Loved it already, but the new menu, cider options and live music has made it next level. The brunch & lunch/dinner menu is bomb. My fave spot in Loops..( for me AND my dog)

The atmosphere was pub like for sure. Service was awesome. My wife had the chicken burger and fries . I had the pulled pork poutine. Both were top notch. And there craft beers . You can not go wrong picking any of them. The two I had were excellent. One tasted like apples and the other tasted like grapefruit.

Fun food - Eat here. The food was great - Dill pickle pizza, sprouts, fries... all great for pub food. Not a fan of the beer choices, but that is not a criticism as much as it is preference. Servers were also great at their roles.

The Apple Krisp is a mix of Apple cider and beer with Nelson Sauvin Hops, and the Brad Pit, which was my favourite, has Belgian Wit with tastes of coriander and apricot. The tasting notes are apricot, citrus, and wheat, so with it being a wheat beer it s nice and light with a sweet taste! I also got the My Heart & Seoul pizza with my mom which was delicious! I highly recommend this wonderful local brewery in the heart of the Northshore in Kamloops!

Amazing!! The beer has been incredible since opening so far and the food really impressed us today. I had the brisket sando and brussy sprouts and the lady had a throw back burger that was really good with fries. I really appreciate their sauce game here the homemade ketchup is fire and idk why I enjoyed the queso so much

Had the ground chuck burger- one of the best Ive ever had. Service also great. Love this style of beer- citrusy and hoppy but broad and juicy on the palate.

I was there with some family member on Saturday, October 1 and have to say that it was a fantastic experience. The beers were delicious, the food was absolutely fantastic, and our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and very good overall. Great experience, and I couldn t recommend it more!

Great atmosphere. Great food. The smoky ketchup dip for the fries was AMAZING! It was so good we had to buy some to take home. Great spot for dinner.

I decided to choose that spot for a lunch with co workers for lunch as I saw some vegan options on the menu. (I m vegan and my co workers are not) We arrived at brunch time there were no vegan options. I asked our server if there could be any exception to adjust for me being vegan and she simply said no there was no effort on her end to figure out anything for me. I ended up eating fries and being very disappointed. Over all poor service.

A very new and different dining experience for me. The atmosphere was at times loud. With high ceilings and interesting decor, it was kind of fun to admire the decorative style. The food and drink was also not what I expected. When I asked for Coke, I got a craft cola. When I ordered what I thought was their version of wings, I got full size drum sticks. Both were good but unexpected. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely a place to try at least once.

I have come here quite a few times now and have always been delightfully impressed with their new selections of beers, and excellent food menu. This has quickly become one of my favourite places to have dinner in the Loop.

I had the best beer and the most creative tasty pizza at Bright Eye! It was a nice Strawberry Sour and it was the nicest beer Ive had from Bright Eye coupled with a dill pickle and chip pizza. I was so surprised how good the pizza was as the description sounded like a huge gamble. Great experience, would go back soon to get that beer and pizza combo again!

This place is excellent ! I had the Bright Motueka Pale Ale, Its a fantastic beer and bought one to take home as well. Also ordered from the menu a ITALIAN CHICKEN SAMMIE. Super tasty and i recommend this for sure. I was here at 2PM ish and so glad I beat the rush. This place gets really busy so plan accordingly.
