We had our holiday dinner with our staff of dentist and employees. The reservation was made well over in advance and there was another party simultaneously. As our guests arrived the waitress was inattentive and had to manage the two big parties at the same time .She told us to hold on before anyone could try to order anything . We were not being served nor being attended to . We were very patient with her . As food arrived cold and drink orders were heavily delayed, our patience was running out , as one of the guest did not get their food order and the other had been served cold food . At this point our boss got frustrated and proceeded to complain to the manager “Pat” I think his name was . Instead of listening he started to argue with my boss and was very disrespectful . First of all as a manager it is your job to listen to your customer complaints . Super unprofessional . Secondly, why would you have one waitress working for two big parties when you fully know that there will be two big groups of guests that needed to be attended to . Very dissatisfied with the service and very disrespectful especially to people coming from out of town for this event . I would not even give this place a 1 star . It wasn’t the waitress’s fault . The manager should be accountable . This place is a mess and the food was not it . They really need to have better management!
In the past the food has been great. However, this time I failed to see the difference in a half size (partner ordered) and full size (my order) fettuccine alfredo. Not only that, the dish I got was cold and more of a soup because of the amount of sauce and lack of noodles. The garlic bread wasn't really cooked eiher. Very disappointing compared to past visits. The waitress we got was terrible. Took forever to have someome even acknowledge we were there. She said she would bring us waters after we ordered. Food came before our drinks were served. She didn't even serve our food, someone else did. Never did get our glasses of water nor refills on our ordered drinks. Wasn't even that busy so I don't understand what was happening. Overall, strange experience tonight. Might have to stick to take out here, somehow the food is much higher quality.
Was totally blown away from our group of 6 experience from the reservation to seated promptly, order efficiency, pleasant atmosphere, cleanliness and attention to detail. Our server Ireland was amazing, Haven't had service like that in Yeeears! Excellent food, came out hot and in timely manner. Dessert is a must! Felt well looked after and will definitely return. Highly recommend!!! Thank you to everyone, especially Ireland!!
The spicy jalapeño margarita was both spicy and strong.. so good. The vegan rice bowl was amazing as well. Emilee (with 2 e's) was a great waitress.
On our road trip to Kamloops, we chose Browns for lunch. Had the French Dip which was excellent, while my hubby tried the southwestern rice bowl but wasn’t very impressed. The kiddo had the steak+pasta and really enjoyed it. Also had the yam fries — a bit salty, and the baked carrot cake — this I liked, especially, since you control the sweetness with the butterscotch on the side.
Ive been to browns a few times. Usually get drinks but tried some appetizers last time and they were very good. Always get mid service here. It’s not terrible but it’s definitely not the most welcoming atmosphere I’ve sat in.
Probably my least favourite poke bowl I've had in BC. The supplementary ingredients were all pretty bland and the portion of tuna was underwhelming. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. I'll have to come back and order something else next time. Edit: had a poke bowl in 2024 and it was much much improved! 👍 👏 The only thing i would suggest is to not cut the tuna into such small pieces.
Bad food quality!!! We stopped at Browns on the way back from Sun Peaks because we know it to be a good chain of restaurants..but were dissatisfied with the food at this location. The calamari was definitely way undercooked as you can see in the picture a couple pieces managed to almost get a little crispy..but that’s it. The crispy chicken sandwich was just that..a big crisp..the chicken was sooooo over cooked my boyfriend had a hard time chewing it as you can see it’s a pretty thin piece of chicken and really got a good fry. The fish and tartar sauce were great but wow are they ever stingy with those fries..:( And those waffles were also way over toasted as you can see..it took a lot of syrup to soften them up to make them easier to eat..over all a disappointment not to say that at 2 pm we had to wait an hour for a seat..we will definitely stick to something else next month when we are back in Kamploops..patio was nice and service could be better.. Best part was my dragon bowl..so you get 1 star for that!!!

Food was above expectations and waiter was excellent. Prices were as expected. The only thing I could criticize is the booth we sat in was extremely low and to close to the table. Parking: Parking was hard to manuver and very hard to get out of when full. I drive a truck and think parking lot is made for smaller vehicles.
I love browns. Jaz (our bartender) was the sweetest most attentive bar tender I ve had.
Hostess referred to my wife and I as you guys four (4) times between first seeing us and seating us! Every sentence started with you guys. Disrespectful to an older couple. Wife ordered Fettuccine Alfredo. It arrived cold. Fortunately i had read some reviews and this was a common complaint at this restaurant, so by the time the server returned with the cutlery (that was not on the table when the food was delivered), we advertised him of the problem and he took the meal for a re-do. Replacement dinner was hot! Food was to the usual Browns Social House high standard.
Went here last night for the first time, everything was great. Service, appetizers, mains and desserts were all straight bussin, highly recommend.

My wife and I visited the Browns Social House on Summit on Wednesday, May 8 2024 to have a celebratory lunch for our 59th wedding anniversary. The service was impeccable and to our surprise Kevin the Manager donated the meal to us. Now that is what I call a smart and hospital businessman. Koodos to you Kevin it was sure appreciated! I ordered a takeout meal of a cod bowl and a side order of parmesan fries. The meal was very delicious. However, when I got back to the hotel there was no salad dressing on the salad. Tried to eat it but it was so dry without salad dressing, just ended up throwing it out. , the rice and cod were very good as were the parmesan fries. Disappointed though for over $40 bill plus tip.
Staff were great. The restaurant was clean. They have a really good selection of appetizers and main courses.
The food was good - I had nachos but our server Lexi made the entire experience AMAZING! She was a very cheerful friendly person that made our day. Brownstone Social House Kamloops is lucky to have her.

I had a whiskey sour, which was very good. For dinner, I had a basic cheese burger. The housemade patty was delicious, though a bit small for the bun. Our server was on top of things and did a great job.
Not a great experience. We wanted to have a quick meal and leave but looked like they were short on staff. Waited for a long time to get the food order and the bill. I had to keep on going to the host desk to get hold of someone to pay the bill or take the order.
The large 20 dollar chicken Ceasars was almost as small as my friends side salad. Left starving, tasted ok

We were in today for lunch and was not impressed, the service was plesent, but the lettus wrap that was set in front of me should not have left the kitchen, I had to ask for lettus that was not yellow and that I could wrap, you cant wrap with the core of yellow scraps, the second plate of lettus was a bit better but not up to par with the price they are charging, I also had a soup, it was 675 for a little cup of soup, when I ask the server if it was made in house she said not, that was not impressive either, soup was good but... my lunch was way over priced for what I got, we go out every week for lunch and probably not return to this resturant.

Service was good and attentive. My only issue was the size of the Caesar salad which was more of a side serving than a meal size, especially for $22.
We had a amazing service at Browns in Kamloops on Dec 30th. I didnt get the name of the waiter but I think he was one of the only males waiters. He made sure we were 110% satisfied with everything. I would love to mention his name but I didnt get it. We were an hour late for our reservation. We called them to let them know and they took care of it. They were out of a couple things and the waiter was quick to suggest other items that worked for us. My daughter hadnt been feeling well. The waiter came and asked if everything was alright. We let him know that she wasnt feeling good. He went above and beyond and took the charge off the bill for her meal. The food was to notch. Everything was hot and well cooked. Table was clean and all of the staff were friendly.
New Years Dinner. Entire group loved the food and compared to other dinning spots in town of similar style, prices are very good. Our server Dan was spot on. Keep up the great work folks.

Best browns I ve been to, service is always fast, drinks are always full and the atmosphere is great. The manager also came by and made us feel like we are at home and engaged in a nice conversation as well as making sure our expectations were met. I d recommend and take all my friends and family here.

My hot wings were hot to the touch but warm to the taste and not very saucy. The carrot cake was curious in presentation, the cake bits were dry and crusty and tasted frozen-and-zapped.
Love it. always great service and food. The only complaint Ive ever had about Bowns is that they never ask us where we would like to sit. They just seat us.

Im not sure what went wrong. Drinks were good. We ordered 6 different dishes and only one was good. Steak and fries were overcooked. Service was slow. Overall mediocre experience. One weird thing was, we ordered Oreo cookie jar, they told us it was not available. Okay. But then another couple who came after us were served the Oreo Cookie Jar. Had to go to McDonalds after this because that was the only option we were left with. P.S.- If restaurants are not adequately staffed, they should tell us beforehand. We arrived at 9:30 and left at 11:30.
Good ambience. Dragon ball with tofu was as good as dragon ball with chicken. Lettuce wrap good. Only thing I wish is they could have increased a bit quantity of veggies in veg dragon bowl.

FETTUCCINE ALFREDO TOP SHELF
I had lunch here yesterday (March 30th) and I should have said something at the time but I didnt. I ordered their Baha fish tacos and, although very tasty, the size/amount of the fish was hugely disappointing!! Very small pieces. I have had their Baha fish tacos before and the size of the fish was decent; however not this last time. For a price of $20.00 for lunch, it certainly could have been more generous.
Today everything was undercooked or overcooked. Customer service is not on par with menu or atmosphere. Been here a few times over a few years and finding its very inconsistent.

Certainly not inexpensive but the service and food have both been very good each time weve been there. It can get a little noisy at times but otherwise it is a great place to share a meal and conversation with friends or family. Dietary restrictions: Very decent options for gluten sensitive diners.

The last two times coming here we had less than acceptable service. Both times our drinks came after our food, our server rarely engaged us and our food was wrong or never arrived. I didnt post after the first incident because sometimes things happen. But twice? And this last time we even heard two tables next to us complaining about the service, well, lack of. Im sure this isnt normal but it will be quite a while before returning.
Great atmosphere for dinner. We were there with our kids, no kids menu which is a bit of a bummer but we were able to find options that were ok for them. Our adult food was great

Went for lunch here. My spicy chicken salad looked like it came from a dumpster! Horrible presentation. When I asked for a floor manager, he agreed the food looked atrocious. He took it and never came back. The waitress never came back either! Who ever is running this place needs a performance assessment on how to Manage! When I had to ask for the bill, the waitress said it was taken care of, but never told me it was. Will highly recommend not to come here in the day as it was the crapiest service Ive experienced at a franchised restaurant.

The food here is exceptionally good! The menu and prices reflect the chefs expertise, and the flavors and eating experience are absolutely worth the extra costs. This is by no means a fast food restaurant. This is where you go on a date, or when you want to experience amazing food, a great atmosphere for sitting down, visiting with great company and expect a memorable time and friendly service. There are 2 patios to choose from here, one is covered, the other isnt. We came here after just walking out of another restaurant for being unclean and unkempt. So this was at the forefront of our thoughts and we walked across to Browns Socialhouse. This was our first ever here. It smelled clean, looked neat and tidy, and like its been renovated fairly recently and well-maintained. We cant praise this place enough. We highly recommend this place.
The only negatives was that it was so cold inside our food was never hot when it was served, that and the smell inside! But thankfully the patio is a wonderful alternative for now. 3 stars!

Never had a bad experience at Browns in Kamloops. They were very accommodating when I received spice on my burger when I asked for none. They replaced no problem.
I absolutely loved the decor and vibe inside. Our server Sophie was amazing, very attentive and knowledgeable! Also the owners are the best! So nice and great to chat with! I ordered off their weekend brunch menu which was fantastic! The eggs benny was amazing and the French toast was a perfect sweet to share with the table! I 100% recommend, can t wait to go back and try more!!

Sunday brunch/lunch at browns was fantastic. Kris was our server and did a phenomenal job. He was kind and personable and suggested just the right beverages for me and my fiancé. The manager on duty Dan came by to see how we were enjoying our food and drinks and was so kind and welcoming. We saw Dan attend to every table in the house and take the time to assure they were enjoying their experience (in an easy and non intrusive way) that always left genuine smiles in his wake. Kris served the whole house with amazing grace and precision. Dan and Kris made our experience top shelf and we will definitely be coming back. Food was a 10!
Visited with a large group. The mimosas flowed and good times were had. Did feel like we waited a bit long for food (but we were a large group) but when it arrived it was delicious! No complaints here. The Calamari were especially popular. Wait staff were very friendly and we never felt like we got ignored as they checked in regularly throughout our visit.
The owners are both complete gems! They went above and beyond today and we are so grateful!
The servers here are top notch. Shaina recommended the fettuccine Alfredo and it was awesome. Shaina was fantastic, well done. She also printed out coloring pages for our kids -absolute Rockstar.
Our waitress was both prompt and patient! Very helpful when we couldnt make up our minds, and she checked in on us during our meal exactly the right amount of times (which is a preference thing, I know). Will definitely stop here again! Food

I really like Socialhouse however they always have so many server/greeters that you never know who wll be your server. It seems like everyone is constantly trying to figure out what is going on. Like waiting for someone to order a beer from and theres 6 people standing in a group and no one taking your order. They are very good at making sure your orders are to your satisfaction. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is decent. Overall a great place to have a couple drinks and some appetizers.
Chef is AMAZING, totally recommend the butter chicken!! However, please please go back to the original dynamite roll, the new one with the green onion totally ruins it for me
Today was yet another amazing lunch! The great food, the ambiance, the overall feel at this restaurant is very relaxing, a perfect place to be. Leah (our server) was very friendly, a great sense of humour, and always attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant! 5 stars plus! An Update. I took my three golf brothers to Browns tonight for supper. I havent been in a while. All four of us had a fantastic meal! And once again Leah was our server, and as always she is great! Great sense of humour, very helpful with our food choices, and great to chat with. Great food, great server. What more could you ask for!
Had the privilege of visiting this location last night. The place was super busy, the vibe and atmosphere were top notch. What stood out to me was the manager flowing around the room(s) seamlessly filling in any areas that needed attention. It ensured every guest in the place felt accommodated and looked after. The margaritas were expertly mixed, the music the perfect volume. This is hospitality! Excellent job Dan and team. We will be back!
After yesterdays spicy chicken and pickles, social long island iced tea, clean and maintained restaurant and patio paired with fantastic service, its no question that itll be our new fave date spot!

Great service. After a delivery order mishap (chicken instead of tofu), the manager had driven the new meal to my house shortly after I had called in. The food was very delicious and I am impressed by how well they take care of their customers.
Tried to go here but....they decided to close before there posted closing time ariived 1045 were told we are closed. posted time is 12......if you post a time and people drive out of there way to come.. Received a response from the manager that was much appreciated.
Went on a Saturday evening. Was able to get a seat without waiting. Ordered the pub burger and fries with gravy. All was delicious. The gravy was not traditional gravy but was delightful.
What a wonderful location! Prompt service, attentive and friendly staff as well as a very welcoming and calm environment, 10/10 would visit this location again next stop through !

I love Browns! The atmosphere at this location was great. I was seated very quickly and had a very attentive server. While the new Ramen isnt as good as the old version (please bring it back!) It was still tasty.

This was way too noisy, and something made my hearing aides disconnect with my blue tooth app. This has happened there before. VERY expensive for a lunch with no alcohol.

Group of five us, we hit happy hour. The social sodas were delicious and the beer was cold. Our drinks took a while,due to how busy it was. Our server was good and our mains were delicious.

Both of us had the fish and chips with gravy on the side. We had been to the Browns in Langford, on Vancouver Island and hubby had the fish and chips with gravy there and enjoyed it. We also had a burger and fries with gravy another time and it was excellent. This location in Kamloops does not have good fish. The coating dripped with oil and the gravy tasted like it is a packaged mix. Wont be back to this location.

Nov 14 - Love this place but I was shocked yesterday when I was CHARGED $2.25 for EACH (2) small dish of honey Mustard!!!! (I ordered a burger with fries & I cant eat ketchup.) What the heck #%^&&*! Totally ridiculous, I may not go back. Dec 14 - after a couple emails with the Manager (with apologies), I have just received a Gift Card to use on my next visit. They have made it right and I will now be returning to this restaurant.

Did not have a good time!! We came in a little before 5 before the rush and it took 30 minutes to get a bottle of beer. We watched it on the bar and almost went to grab it. Our fries were cold and it was my dads birthday and his food was the last to come out and it took very long. The waitress questioned us about the fries being cold and we told her for the 2nd time that they were cold. She didn t fill the waters up and we asked twice to get water. She didn t apologize or anything at the end.
