Good chicken

The space was so welcoming but the food and dishes felt incomplete compared to the kelowna location. Big disappointment compared to kelowna and other locations. Staff assumed we couldnt use chopsticks giving us forks and knives. Experience was distasteful and staff could be more friendly and not assume our preferences.

Definitely a take-out spot, but the chicken is amazing. This beats KFC, Popeyes, and Mary browns hands down. Serving size is huge, a full order will easily feed 2 people.

Another delicious Korean fried chicken place. Total cost came out to $56 for 3 half meals with fries. It fed, with leftovers, 2 adults and 3 kids. Definitely worth the cost (comparatively speaking).

Stopped by on the way to Revelstoke. The freshly fried Korean style chickens in the store were so delicious. The staff was nice, I would love to revisit here if I ever get a chance.

This place is a slam dunk. Get the bone-in chicken and they make it right there fresh. The folks working were super sweet. Just overall great experience.

Weve ordered the regular and soy garlic boneless chicken 5 or 6 times, always great. Not greasy, nice flavour. Have to try a spicy one sometime. We always order for takeout, but they do have a dine-in area.

Serioulsy ive been waiting for a Korean fried chicken place to be open in Kamloops. And this is it! I ordered Soy garlic today! The best one so far in Kamloops and the price is really reasonable. Half size is only 13 something. I will definitely stop by again to try other flavours there too! Two thumbs up!

I order from them once a week. I cant stomach spicy so I get the split order of soy garlic and yangyeom. Soy garlic is not spicy at all, and yangyeom is slightly spicy but I can easily eat it.

Great chicken but frustrating service as of late. Twice now weve been told when picking up an online order that it was missed. In another instance our order was not ready due to a mix up with phone numbers. Often times their pick-up estimate times are not correct and youre left waiting.

Probably the best fried chicken in Kamloops. The soy chicken is very good but the cheese one is amazing!!! The only thing I d maybe complain about is that the menu is very small. But I think that s some of the appeal.

Weve grabbed take-out from here a few times and it never ceases to surprise us how crispy the chicken is when we bring it home. The last time we ordered it, we had to drive about 20 minutes to a friends house and it was still crispy when we finally dug in. Weve tried buldak and yeangyeom sauces but always seem to gravitate to the original (no sauce). We always get the original with sauce on the side to ensure maximum crispiness. The sauces overall tend to be on the sweeter side so I personally just prefer some Franks hot sauce. Calling in to order is usually the easiest and fastest option instead of using Skipthedishes.com. The chicken is often ready in a only 15 minutes, even during the lunch hour rush.

The worst Chicken I ever had, It supposed to be cheese Snow, however what I got was fried chicken wrapped in some coat like CANDY, Feels like you are eating Sugar chicken, no cheese flavor, There is nothing in the menu saying this is a sugar wrapped chicken! It was my bad I assume to google this instead of Churchs chicken, I just threw it in the Garbage,

A great treat to have when I drive into town! We always order Boneless half and half (Half Buldak and Half Soy Garlic) with a side of Pickled Radish. If you like Korean-Style fried Chicken (like what you see in Korean street food videos on YouTube) and are open to trying flavours you might not normally see paired with chicken, I highly recommend giving them chance.

Great choice!! We have had their chicken a few times now and each time its crispy and fresh. Best part is it is just as amazing when you reheat leftovers later. We have tried all their flavors and they are all quite good. They have been quite fantastic about making sure everything is how it should be with each order. Great to see a small business with such great food opening in Kamloops!

I ordered Haek Buldak today and I loved it. It s their spiciest chicken. They also have regular Buldak, which is not so hot and good for most of the people. The staff were so amazing with the way they welcomed me. Its a small place and can accommodate a couple or a group of 2-3 people for dining in.

The service was good, wait time was a bit longer than we hoped for but that could have been the time of day we were there. The cheese powder for the fries is very sweet so make sure you taste that before sprinkling on the fries. The fries on their own are very good, I found the chicken to be pretty greasy and fatty though. For chicken thigh lovers it is probably great fried chicken. Nothing wrong with the restaurant just not my cup of tea unfortunately.

We went to try it out today its a new place, and we like to give everyone a chance. We ordered two combos. Cost about $27 if its decent I dont mind paying. First off the combo itself only comes in original recipe. If they would offer them tossed in some sauce or even dipping sauce would be good. For dipping sauce its an additional $1 We get the meal it is a very small portion of fries. The chicken you get 6-7 pieces, and its really good. If you fix the other short comings you will see business double thats why I give a 3.

Chicken tasted great! Bought the haek buldak full for $26 (a bit on the pricey side) and it was very savoury. I recommend eating it with rice lol. The sour radish could have been larger in portion and get cut in thicker wider slices.

Friends of ours own a restaurant and they brought some of this places chicken over for a change in menu, WPW, best chicken Ive ever had out of a restaurant. Seriously good stuff.

The service was great, the shop was clean, and chicken was the BEST! You should try some of their menus for sure!! Soy garlic & Padak Padak are my favorites :)

This chicken was to die for!!! Have only had this in Kelowna. On that note I would love more variety I felt the menu was pretty small. Although it is easier to make decisions with a smaller menu!

Food was good, priced on the high side IMO, but good. What keeps me from going to a four star was the wait. When I ordered there appeared to be only one other customer waiting, I was told fifteen minutes (which I thought was a long time for deep fried food) but it ended up being over half hour... crazy. I wasnt working but if I was on my lunch break this would have been a problem.

Seems pricey at first glance. But the food is amazing and the portions are huge! The yangyeom is sweet and spicy and amazing!

Finally got to try this awesome place.. the yengyeom is delicious. Not to spicy, just sweet enough. The after taste is great. Left a very satisfied warm feeling 8n my belly. We will be back.

I stopped by Chicko Chicken Kamloops on my way to Vancouver and I must say this is the best chicken Ive ever tried! The chicken is very juicy and crispy at the same time! The staff are also very friendly. I would highly recommend you try the chicken here.

The best Korean chicken Ive ever tasted in Canada. Ive tried it in Vancouver and Calgary, but the chicken here is the best. I was able to eat the true Korean chicken I enjoyed in Korea again here. It was really fantastic. When I first immigrated to Canada, I planned to open a Korean-style chicken restaurant. In Korea, I learned how to make frying powder, kneading, salting, and frying for about 3 days for a few million won. And in fact, in the early days of immigration, I ran a chicken restaurant as a partner for a few months, but due to a fight between partners, I closed the chicken restaurant and didnt even bother to eat chicken for several years. However, I was able to unexpectedly eat delicious chicken in a rural village I stopped by on my way to Vancouver, and thanks to that, now. Not only did I go back to the old days of enjoying chicken, but now I cut the chicken myself, salted it, and fried it for my children. (My kids said my chicken was the best and this was the second best.) But I wonder if anyone would know how to read it if I wrote it down in Korean... I should write this in English, but its a pity that my English is short. Anyway, this is the best Korean chicken Ive ever had in Canada.

I rarely write reviews but when I do, it s usually because it s either the experience was the best or the worst. In this case, absolutely spot on and would recommend this place with no hesitation. As an immigrant with Korean heritage, I can definitely say that the chicken here is authentic as they advertise. Yangyeom is my personal favorite and I ve tried other places but I think Chicko is my top choice. Service was excellent, clean atmosphere with easy access to their website and app to order. If you are in the area looking for a great meal, do not hesitate to check this place out!
