We had the plain waffles and the farmer sausage & egg rosti. I loved the potato underneath the sausage!! We enjoyed the hotel, but the restaurant is open to everyone! Our server had the most friendly and humorous attitude! We will be back next time! 😁
We have a cardinal rule: never eat in an empty restaurant - but we did and we won't be back. One star for the setting - comfortable, attractive. One star for the ingredients - fresh, ripe. No more stars than those two. I am convinced that the server should write down what is ordered. As difficult as it may be to imagine, she managed to bring one serving of French onion soup when two were ordered. Two people, each having soup before ordering mains. Mezze platter full of fresh, ripe, good ingredients. No bread. If you order the whipped feta alone, you get bread but as part of the platter, you don't. I believe that the chef has good intentions and obviously uses the finest ingredients. They simply cannot execute. The onions in the French onion soup were undercooked except for those that were uncooked. There was some cheese. Attention must have been expended upon the broth. The carrot cake was more like a date-nut loaf and sliced in the same fashion. Almost half was left on the plate - simply could not have stomached more. The bill. Extravagant. $120 for two disappointing soups, a mezzo platter without bread - I did ask for bread but it never arrived - desserts that could not be finished, and two mediocre drinks. No mains. A third of the bill was for two drinks and two desserts. If you do intend to attend this venue, do so soon. I cannot imagine them surviving very long without repeat custom.
I had the traditional eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. It was delicious. We always look for restaurants that serve farm to table and this did not disappoint. They have a large waffle menu that goes beyond your regular waffles. My husband had the blueberry waffles with the balsamic reduction and they were delicious. We each ordered an espresso drink that was one of the best we’ve had on this trip. Our waiter, Waleed, was the best; personable ,efficient, and very attentive. A great breakfast experience. Highly recommend
We had dinner and breakfast here with our kids! Beef and reef and baked prawns were delicious! Service incredibly friendly! Especially Waleed, our breakfast waiter, was incredibly friendly! Eggs benny were amazing and the kids loved the waffles! Cappuccino was superb 👌🏻 highly recommend!
A small restaurant inside a hotel. We enjoyed the food a lot. Some standard fare, like Beef French Dip sandwich, with some unusual dishes like a Mediterranean Falafel Bowl and Beet and Goat Cheese salad. Simple and tasty!
Great food, great service, 5 stars from me! Staying at the hotel on a motorbike tour, decided to eat here rather than travel. Waitress was really friendly recommended the pot roast, it was superb. Had a Vancouver beer after riding through what seemed like a desert and then a locsl red wine to go with the meal, it was excellent. Great, food, great service, one of best hotel restaurants I’ve been to.
We had breakfast this morning and it is truly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. The food was delicious and meticulously prepared. The coffee was excellent as well. The server was attentive and friendly. Definitely our new favourite breakfast spot!
Such an incredible evening tonight at ISAGANI in the Prestige Hotel...we had the chef created starter, a Beef Tartar lightly seared & served on a potato pave (sorry no pics, we devoured it 🤤) for our mains, the trout was cooked to perfection and when they didn't have the item on the menu my husband wanted, the chef offered to make him a special dish that was amazing itself! Dessert...a chocolate cake like we've never had and a delicious mug carrot cake 👌 The cocktails, the wine and the service were all top notch! This was our first experience at this Restaurant, but we had dined in Salmon Arm at the Nineteen05 (same owners) and it was just as memorable! If you're looking for a dining experience that is not easy to find here in Kamloops, this place is worth it!
Had a really good meal and the staff.
One of the best breakfasts in the city...always super fresh and tasty...one of the rare spots in town with a great view...the service is always cheerful, attentive and fast...if going for breakfast Waleed (server) will greet you with a smile, nice big hot cup of coffee and a killer farm-to-table plate of fresh delicious food.
What a shame. We were so looking forward to an incredible breakfast. No rosti, sausage was not breakfast style and tatertots for hasbrowns! Fail!
Excellent breakfast on 5th Sept 2024. Came by Isagani as we were staying at a nearby hotel and didn t fancy breakfast there, so looked elsewhere. Great friendly service from Waleed at Insagani, lovely food. We very much enjoyed the chat about smoggies too!
Great atmosphere clean well organized. Our breakfast was fantastic perfect portions well presented Our service was exceptional welcoming and friendly highly recommended. Well deserved 5 Food : 5/5 |
Update: I write this update with a fair amount of sadness. As mentioned in my original review, I said I would return. And return I did, it was so good the first time! The second avocado toast breakfast plate I purchased was less than stellar. The toast was over cooked, the hashbrowns were undercooked, the eggs were kind of cold and the whole thing was very blah. Seeing as the first experience was so good and the second was so blah, I of course had to see which one was the fluke. I recently returned for a third avocado toast breakfast plate, full of hope. To say my fingers were crossed is an understatement. I really wanted it to be good again! I was deeply disappointed. Somehow, it got worse. The toast was about half as big as the first time, somehow dry as all get out. And let me tell you something about avocado toast. I understand that times are hard and we are all cutting costs. But you simply cannot cut the cost on the avocado on an item that is literally sold as avocado toast. It. Doesnt. Work. What I received was two small dry pieces of toast with what essentially amounted to what I can only describe as a singular smear of guacamole that I feel relatively confident came out of one of those squeeze bottles they sell at the grocery store. It was literally pathetic. I have never received a worse piece of avocado toast and my five year old has served up more adequate plates than this. And the hashbrowns. Oh my goodness. I dont even know if I want to talk about them they were that had. Actually inedible. They were these little patties of shredded hashbrowns that came out and looked and tasted like they had pre made them a month ago, frozen them, defrosted them over night and maybe thought about reheating them but gave them a wave over the grill as they plated them instead. I had never eaten a rubbery hasbrown before and I do not wish to ever again. The only redeeming grace was the waiter. I wish I could remember his name but I hope he knows he is a superstar! An actual gem amongst humans, so positive and just fantastic to be around. And the only reason that this review has any stars at all. I cannot bear to not give him credit at all, but just know thats the only reason for the credit. I would go back in for drinks if he was at the bar but I would not, after the two bad food experiences, risk purchasing food here unless someone gives the kitchen a serious overhaul and they can prove it somehow. Like I said, I am genuinely disappointed to have to make this update because I had high hopes. They were dashed in a fairly stunning and extraordinary way though. Its a shame because there is potential here...but that appears to be all it is at this point. Excellent food, service was very quick and our server was lovely. Avocado toast breakfast plate was so good. A little hidden gem! Would (and will!) absolutely return.
This is a hidden little gem inside The Prestige Hotel, across from Aberdeen Mall. Well worth the stop if passing by or want to make the drive from another part of town. Where to begin? First of all, lets talk about the service. We were a tour group (37 total) who had been evacuated from the Jasper fire. When we arrived at the hotel 645am, several went for breakfast right away. As the restaurant was not prepared for an influx, it was a little short-staffed, but they handled it and the great-tasting food made up for any delays. Most of our group had dinner here the same night, and there was only one server, Grace, and one chef, Waltham. I honestly dont know how they managed it on their own, but they did. Very hard working, diligent, friendly, calm and joyful under duress. The next morning Walid and Grace took care of us. They worked very hard and fast, getting orders in and out in a timely fashion. They were so wonderful with my group, joking and bringing smiles and laughter to all. My guests went on about how excellent the staff were. The food was equally wonderful. My group raved about their meals. For dinner, I had the whipped feta dip as an appy, followed by the pork tenderloin. Both were perfectly prepared and had lots of flavour. My breakfast was equally amazing, and I have to say portion sizes were generous. Waltham is extremely talented! Add to this the coziness of a small restaurant with great views. Huge thank you for taking such good care of us, Walid, Grace & Waltham!
Delicious meal after a long day of travel. Home style cooking that is fresh and made with care. Staff were attentive and offered menu suggestions
Feel good, comfort food after a long day. Well priced for quality and quantity.
Not as advertised. It s a nice place with a tiny open kitchen and a very loud fan running constantly. Any closer to the kitchen we would have had to yell to make ourselves heard. Food was truly mediocre. Not farm to table at all. Much more like Food service fare. If you re looking for something special farm-food-wise, skip this and the noise..
Delicious food and friendly service! Stopped here for dinner on our way through Kamloops. Pot roast was flavorful and burgers were great! Appreciated that the kids burger came with side veggies too.
Waited 5 minutes at the door just to watch someone who was sitting with a group of people to come over and say weve run out of cutlery and we wont be able to serve you for 25 minutes. Unfortunate way to run a business.
I was looking for a new place for breakfast here in Kamloops and this place popped up. The food and service we great. My only complaint, and unfortunately this cant really be helped, is that theres no AC. Because the booths are that fantastic fake leather, the sweat was bad. Theyre trying to make it work with some swamp coolers but all that did for poor me was make it super humid. If you can handle that though, youre in for a breakfast treat. Cant want to try it out for dinner when it cools down a little and it hopefully wont feel like a sauna. Make sure to tip Wil well. He puts up with a lot!
We were extremely impressed with the service, food and experience at this restaurant! The server/manager Waleed made it such a delightful experience with his positive, bubbly and down to earth personality! Thank you Waleed you rock!
Great food and service. The view of the city is also pretty amazing. A must try.
It was our first time at Isagani and the food and service was great. We started with the whipped feta dip and prawns. The dip was so good. Our dinner was also fabulous and we enjoyed chocolate cake for dessert. We were shocked that it was a bit quiet. Well be back to try their breakfast next. Isagani might be a small restaurant but it is mighty.
In our travels , we stopped and had breakfast at Insagani. Had 2 classic breakfast and the avacado breakfast. Eggs were perfectly done and food was excellent! Waleed our server was even more amazing . So kind hearted, wonderful gentleman, went above and beyond. Made our whole day so much better , we will be definitely coming back :) I highly recommend this lovely place!
I could tell that the food was made with quality ingredients. It had good flavor. Nice consistency of buttered sourdough, the eggs had good flavor and were cooked right. Hashbrowns were cooked in a tasty oil/seasoned right. Sausage was ok. Good service, coffee wasnt bad. Nice view from the window, felt clean. I will bring my friends here when I have the chance, thank you. All at normal breakfast prices.
Isagani was excellent ambience, great service and the best breakfast I have ever had! Highly recommend. This will my go to restaurant when I am in Kamloops. Food
We were staying across the road at the Prestige Lodge and received 25% off breakfast. The food was amazing, delicious, and I will definitely be returning! Highly recommend, can t wait to try the dinner menu. Food
Love the whipped feta dip and the classic pot roast! Great collection of wines and the service and decor was on point!
Best place to go for breakfast in Kamloops. Service was excellent and the food was presented beautifully and delicious. 10/10 recommend
Best fruit bowl in Kamloops, all fresh not frozen. Awesome service, one of the best hollandaise sauces that we have ever had. Really good breakfast.
We really thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Service was on the slower side, if youre in a hurry, it might not be the best, but very good. Nice and quite. Very small, quaint restaurant. It looked like 1 cook, 1 server. The food was fantastic!
Best place
Got a to-go pickup order through Door-Dash, Was missing baked garlic prawns, Got the bruschetta bread but NO PRAWNS, Called the restaurant to sort it out and the staff wanted to have an argument as to what was in my order, Saying both He and the chef had checked it before handing it out, Instead of refunding or giving me my correct order. Had to report through Door-Dash for a refund. Customer service is key, And this wasn t handled correctly in my opinion.
Frost bitten noodles for their pasta, no accountability for their staff when problems have arisen. Confrontational when told they missed an order item. Avoid unless you would like gastrointestinal issues.
My long time friend from the Coast and I had a great visit with delicious Eggs Benny! The food was delicious, the service excellent and we would both gladly return! A hidden Kamloops jewel tucked away up on the hill...well worth it! Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly options were available!
So disappointing. The server was sweet and did her best, but the food was really not good and way too over priced for what you get. We waited over an hour, and there was only one more table other than us how can this restaurant handle more than one table at a time? We were celebrating a birthday and they gave us 4 little pieces of chocolate cake, which we thought was nice of them, but even the cake was pretty mediocre.
Expensive, NO Taste on there Spaghetti and Meat balls..worst service too, when you complain, they just give a smirk with a giggles too..!!!!
Great job best in Kamloops Vegetarian options: Yes cauliflower steak is amazing
Has so much potential! However, my $16 Waffle was very obviously made last week. It was very dry, dense, and nearly inedible. They promote housemade peanutbutter and jam - which was fine, but maybe the bigger focus could be on making fresh waffles.
This is a cute little restaurant. Small, but, nice ambiance. Our waitress, Taylor, was very happy and attentive on our visit. The food was great! We had a tomato bruschetta appy to start an got the Fondue for 2 for our main (comes with bruschetta as well, not pictured). Id definitely come back again to try more off the menu here!
Came here for dinner with my girlfriend after seeing the establishment on info-news kamloops. Loved the hospitality and the food We ordered duck confit and steelhead trout Kudos to the two hardworking chefs in the kitchen area for making our dining experience phenomenal with the lip smacking food. Will be here again for breakfast very soon
Came here for a quick dinner after my photoshoot in Kelowna. The indian chef in the kitchen made the duck confit for me as per my spice requirements. Got to know a bit about kamloops from him. The server was also very kind. Looking forward to have another dining experience at isagani whenever i pass by kamloops.
A casual atmospherealong with great food and and service! A+
4 of us had dinner for Valentine s Day, 3 of us had the $65 v-day special and my husband had the cannelloni dish. Dinner was great, but our server Diane was having issues with trying to get our bill correct as they didnt have the special programmed in the computer. After 4x of us reviewing our bill she finally got it right, I would recommend that she write her orders down so shes not confused with who had what. I manage a pub and we have the same POS system I almost felt like I should get up and help her separate our bills lol. Our friends were seating at another table and they to had issues with their experience. They said they asked for another drink but finally gave up as she kept ed forgetting, also confusion with their bill. I know its very new and people are doing their best, I always give a place a 2nd chance so I will be back and hopefully my next experience will be better. The decor is nice and comfortable
I ve gone here twice now and each time it s been fantastic! Delicious food and great service. One of the best breakfasts in Kamloops with great options, hard to decide! For dinner we went for the short rib and tuna, both so good and cooked perfectly. For breakfast I had the pea meal bacon Dutch crepe with added breakfast sausage, amazing!
Went back to try their breakfast menu...Great View, Delicious Food and Excellent Service!
Smores waffles were delicious and the the Greek Benny was delightful
I am giving 2 stars because of the decor and the server. If it was for food alone, or management response, one star would be too high. 4 of us went for brunch. The menu looked great. We were exited. And then the food arrived. We looked at each other. Is this a joke? 3 of us ordered crepes, one ordered waffles. None of us got the ingredients listed on the menu. My friend s was the worst. She ordered the banana split crepe, without the banana. It was supposed to still have stewed strawberries and pineapples, chocolate sauce, and whip-cream. Instead, she was served a plain crepe with white sauce. NOTHING ELSE. We asked the server about her meal (all of our meals, actually, not one was right) We could overhear the server talk to the chef. It was clear he could not care less. He said they didn t have stewed strawberries. And the pineapples were frozen, so that was too inconvenient for him to make. And he had no whip cream. And he did not care. Ultimately, my friend got some basic cold strawberries to put on top of her plain crepe. For $17. We had to ask for syrup. Only one of us got what we think might have been whip cream, but it was too separated and vile to say for sure. All we could do was laugh. We could not believe how bad it was. Before our bill arrived, we asked if we would receive a discount because none of us got the meals as listed on the menu. The server was lovely, and asked a coworker, but did not have ability to offer discounts. The manager was not in. So she asked the chef (who is the assistant chef according to a news article), and he, unsurprisingly, did not help. The server suggested we leave our names and numbers to be contacted by the manager. She said she would confirm how bad it was with the manager. We paid our bills in full, tipped, and left. This was Saturday morning. It is now Thursday and we have no heard from the manager. I ve even called to speak to her and she has not been available. So I left my name and number again and she hasn t bothered to call. I didn t rush to write this review because I wanted to give the manager time to rectify this situation. The menu looks great, the decor is great, the idea is great. As a newer restaurant, I wanted to give them a chance. And now I can say that the food was truly terrible, but the management response is inexcusable.
Stopped in for breakfast and had the Maple Bacon Eggs Benny. It was really good but we asked for the eggs to be soft poached and they were hard poached and the biscuit was very soggy. The taste was great tho and our server was wonderful! Was on by herself and was very busy!
My husband, son and I had the pleasure of enjoying some amazing breakfast. Everything was fresh. Staff was kind and attentive. Parking: Free and lots of space Kid-friendliness: Great selection for children
Where do we start. Crepes were pre-made and served uncooked and cold. I asked the chef to make them again only served warm. He said this was how they served it. We got them again hotter but still raw. The noise from the kitchen fan made even table conversation difficult. Service was slow even with only 2 tables in use. I did not order waffle as I knew it was pre-made, should guessed that crepes would be also. No Banana for topping.
Fantastic breakfast. Presentation is awesome food is even better!
One star is too much.
Terrible experience. The waitress couldn t communicate well at all (had to point to what we wanted on the menu). The cocktails were watered down and poorly made. (Fortress old fashion and the blossom). The seared albacore tuna was over cooked and flavourless and looked unappealing. The mushroom soup tasted like canned soup. My wife and I both had the short rib pappardelle and the wide flat pasta noodles were all stuck together in chewy, unappetizing globs that the sauce and beef were sitting on top of. Seemed like more of a poor attempt at a beef stroganoff. They had the door open the entire time to enjoy the constant loud traffic from the highway and flies coming inside. No manager. Terrible etiquette. Awful, never going back.
Quality healthy food. Watery coffee. Wait staff more newer to service industry. Nice view from windows. Empty restaurant at 8am on a Saturday morning.
Disappointing to say the least! We were excited to try this new local restaurant. Tuna appetizer was great, wine was ridiculously expensive ($17 for 9oz), service was slow and steak came out well done rather than medium rare as requested. We sent the steak back to be redone, and by the time the plate had returned everyone at the table had already finished their meal. Considering this was a birthday dinner and I ended up eating alone I was not impressed that the server only comped half the steak. Our party then ordered coffee which the server proceeded to brew and completely forget about it. We won t be back!
Went here for the first time today with my boyfriend, the food was very delicious and staff very friendly. The waitress overheard that we were there to celebrate my Birthday and she collaborated with the chef to surprise me with this desert, both of them were very sweet and kind. It was wonderful to see a business that will go the extra mile for their guests to give them the best experience possible. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant, and the two of us will definitely be back soon.
This restaurant calls itself farm to table and represents itself as being more upscale and it is definitely not. I went there for the first time last night with a friend, having high hopes. It was really disappointing. We got there at 5:30 on a Friday night and it was dead. And being dead is the perfect opportunity to give STELLAR service, but sadly was not given that. The server had really no knowledge on the menu, we asked for recommendations and were told I don t know I haven t tried it . I ordered a glass of wine and it had floaties in it, and took forever to flag down the waitress for a new one. The service was so slow, which is bad when the restaurant is empty. And when our food finally was done (we ordered appies and a main), she goes so your appetizers and main dishes are all done, do you want it all now or do you want us to bring it later? So we said may as well bring it now rather that have it sit there. In general, everything took forever and we were really the only ones in there, there was only 2 other people at ONE other table and they only had drinks. The food was very very sub par, and going by the prices and the way the restaurant is presented (higher end) I expected WAY better. I ordered the parpadella with chicken and the chicken was soooo dry, the Alfredo was not handmade, it was definitely your basic canned Alfredo. None of it was dark fresh like they claim. It was all so bland, didn t even have salt or pepper on it. All in all the food was just very bad, the service was bad, I don t really think they know what they re doing. Won t be going back.
Really great service. DELICIOUS food.
Love this little gem, hope they stay open!
Been here a couple times and both times the food and service was 5 star Check this out if you want fresh meals great people Food
Food was FANTASTIC! So fresh and flavorful! We loved the mezzo platter
Really impressed tonight! Chicken pesto pizza and kids Alfredo/burger was great
