Food was great ! Service was very slow. Slow roast brisket was delicious.

Very nice location in the middle of the golf club great view and free parking. The staff is friendly and nice. The point deduction is for the extra charge for the 10ml tartar sauce that we ordered with the fish and chips - that is absolutely petty and not worthy of the restaurant. The cocktails were also delicious.

Delicious food at reasonable prices. Excellent service from Carlos, who was attentive and very accommodating. Lovely views of the golf course and the city.

No reason to go back. All around negative experience. Food and service way below average and pricing way to high based on the quality.

Good food, but absolutely terrible service. It was not busy, 2 servers working. Slow to get our food and slow to come back and take our finished dishes/pay. So many other restaurants to go to for better service than this. First time here too, but wont be back.

Unfortunately the new menu does not include the famous petite surf and turf. This was the only reason we, as older people with smaller appetites would go to Masons.

Service was slow! Friday afternoon, Happy Hour...one server...hmmmmm

Went there for wing night last Thursday, wings were good, the wait time was a bit long but the worst part about it was that we were charged $34 for 2 orders of S&P wings that were apparently on special. The waiter said that this was the new special price and the regular price is $20 (even though the menu said it was $17 regular price); however, my friends who were billed after I had left the establishment were only charged $13 for their wings.

BEWARE!!! My wife and I ate here tonight. 03/24/24 If you order the brisket. Their tomato puree contains almonds. Never thought a tomato puree would contain almonds but I guess its whatever is added to it. Its a good thing Im not deathly allergic. Its just going to be a long night battling and itchy mouth and throat. It was really good though otherwise.

We enjoy going to Masons. The view is beautiful and the servers are fantastic. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the new fish and chips item. The fish tasted like burnt oil. I mentioned it to our server. She was great. They gave us a discount on the meal. Not by a huge amount but they did triy to make it right. I find Masons to be a bit of a hit and miss food wise. Certainly, will not deter us from ever going back as we like their happy hour, atmosphere, and cocktails.

Went to masons almost after a year for valentine day, last time i was there my experience was average, but this time everything was above my expectations. Especially the food, it was excellent. The best lamp chop and beef brisket i ve had so far. the service was excellent our server was really nice. everything was on time, i would definitely recommend all my friends and family to give masons a try.

March 4, 2023 at 6ish pm. Our first time here and we will be back! Our waitress was a very sweet, friendly and attentive young lady who gave us some of the best service we ve ever had in a restaurant. Fish & chips were pretty good, just would have liked a crispier batter and more fish/less batter. Vinegar based coleslaw was a nice change from most restaurant s gloopy mayo based coleslaw. Prime rib burger was very good. Appy of onion rings & mozza sticks came out fast, hot, tasty and plentiful. Dips are served in very cute mini mason jars. Big servings. Very cozy ambiance. Looking forward to music trivia night which our waitress graciously told us all about when we asked. A really enjoyable evening at Masons :)

New to Kamloops so we have been trying new places to dine ,decided to try masons tonight,service was very good,we both had a appetizer and the fish tacos,both very good,would go back again

Went in and had lunch and the food was good dining in, but when I got banh mi and Thai soup to go after it was very disappointing. The soup didn t have that much in it and the banh mi wasn t on a crispy baguette and the fries were overly salted.

Ive been there 2 times with my husband and loved both. The food is great, but the cocktails are even better. I particularly like the warmers and we had a nice time chatting with the barman. Cant wait for the weather to warm up to try the patio!

This worse service i seen in a long time. One and a half hours wait for appys. I had to interupt the waitress to get a second drink after the first hour. Poor service, many unbussed tables, boxes stored throughout the restaurant and no regard at all for the patrons. We offered to pay for the 3 drinks before the meal that never did show but we were leaving. Only thing they did right was tell us there was no bill..

Hit or miss. I come here often and love it here. New management would make this place awesome.

Yeeeeah sooo 2 hours later, NO FOOD, the waitress was run off her feet, waited 45 mins for my long island iced tea, no explanation as to why until we asked what the hell was happening. They were short on staff, out of food supplies and we were offered no complementary food to tied us over. COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED! We left, they comped our drinks, now we are getting KFC... Woohoo... Btw the place was half empty, we had a reservation as well so its not like they were surprised to have our group arrive.

So disappointing - the management and service is so poor. A great venue - would be really nice if they could (finally) get it together.

Food was above average for Kamloops, which is a city I regularly find amazing food in. Took more then a half hour after ordering to get each round for drinks. Sorry the bar was busy. While we watched our server walk around empty tables and the bar tender looked bored. Food took an hour and a half after ordering, but worth the wait. Rustic barn feel mixed with fine leather chairs, nice glassware etc. Had to ask multiple times for cutlery, eventually took them off another empty table (almost 2 hours of being there) the other servers seemed great, so we probably just had a bad night for our server, but it was pretty frustrating. Wheelchair accessibility: A few of our party used cains, was easy to get in and out, wheelchairs would have no problem for the main level

Ordered out. Stayed close. Over 95 dollars for taco salad, fire cracker chicken burger and seafood linguine. Was shocked at the little amount of food, plus the fixings. No sour cream, no salsa, to much ceaser dressing salad was limp. The pasta...gross looked and tasted like slop...40 for thar was disgusting...not even garlic toast. Now for a fire cracker chicken burger. Omg. Burnt chicken. Wasnt spicy at all, just thrown together....only 1 table in there at the time. The young ladies serving the take out to use great. I wont be back.

Nice deck and friendly staff. Had drinks and an order of calamari. Calamari I wont order again... altho it had dried tomatoes which made it at least interesting.

I came with my boyfriend today and we shared some appetizers to start (ribs with teriyaki totally worth it). After that, we had the house pasta with shrimp and it was FABULOUS (cheers to the cook) ! We really enjoyed the service, how fast the food came out and the amazing drinks after dinner. The bartender made us some special drinks with Mango (you should ask for it). Very nice experience in general and very nice view.

The food was good but very poor service. It was not busy at all and it took an hour for our food to come. The server didn t come by our table to refill our drinks in over 45 minutes. She seemed oblivious.

Some of the best views in Kamloops, especially from the deck. Its a huge space that can accommodate different events and large sized groups. The consistent complaint has always been the service. It varies from year to year and even from day to day. Fix that issue, and its close to a 5 star ranking.

Was really excited to visit this place for the first time. The Venue is spectacular. However the service was extremely poor. Our server(s) changed 3 times, very disorganized and slow. The food was no better than an IHOP. Masons is Probably a great place to get some drinks and finger food but go elsewhere if you want a nice meal.

Unfortunately we went back to Mason s for a second chance after having a terrible experience the first time. The second time was exactly the same as the first. The service is BRUTAL! Both visits we were walked by several times by staff without even being acknowledged. After 30 minutes we finally flagged down a staff member to order some drinks. She kindly took our order. While we waited for our drinks we watched other tables on the patio sit down, wait, and then get up and leave. When we went into pay we were expecting a very busy restaurant. There was nobody inside and we were one of 2 tables left on the patio. This is such a shame as we live within walking distance to Mason s. They also have one of the nicest patios in the city and has been newly renovated. Such a waste of a nice place. We will not be returning :(

Went to the restaurant for a family dinner, the ambience is the first thing that one notices on entering. It has an openess which lots of eateries lack and on top of the the entire city is visible. The food and service is outstanding. We went on a Monday near closing time , the staff readily served us while any other restaurant would have a refused to do so.kudos to the management..

Cant beat the patio on a beautiful day. Best chicken wings in town. Love their pork tacos too. Service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and fast.

We were here as a large group (30 people), they arranged a buffet of appetizers. Everything was delicious. We were in a separate area and able to mingle which was nice. Service was exceptional, the waitresses were very attentive. Excellent place for large party events.

I wanted to also recommend this place like so many others but yesterday the wait on everything was off the charts. 1st to see anyone out on the patio took forever and then to just get the beer to arrive was so very long and even after the 1st wait on a beer and then again after being told that the Pilsner could not be changed cause the manager was setting up for music later and the new bartender did not know how. And... NO music out on patio! The patio set up is good to shield out the sun etc but with some music playing, waiting so very long would not have been noticed as much. Something to consider, yes? Then our food was way longer than it needed to be and this one other server was right on it but we did not get her as our host! ):

We had to leave after waiting 20 minutes we did not even get waited on for a drink order. Please if you are short staffed let your customers know prior to seating them, and if possible let them know wait times. Much nicer than being ignored

Just had our second experience here. The first time we waited close to 90 minutes for a simple pizza. There was maybe 6 other tables in the entire restaurant but their excuse was that they was slammed. Tonight we thought we would give it another go. An hour after ordering wings, we asked our server about them. She said the order was put through. 20 minutes later another server brought our cold wings out. We will NEVER return. They offered to comp our drinks and appy but we arent looking for freebies. Just service. Avoid this place unless of course you are looking for cold food, poor service and wasted time

Bad service We came here for lunch and our service wasn t great. We waited almost an hour for our food and no body came to check on us. Not even for a water refill. When our food finally came it wasn t anything great. It was bland and tasteless. When we payed we didn t give a huge tip, the waitresses were whispering to each other and making snarky remarks.

Had a wonderful and relaxing brunch at Mason s this past Sunday. Beautiful setting, wonderful service, and great food options from either the brunch or regular menus. Schnitzel bennie s very tasty!

Four of us enjoyed a delightful lunch on the patio here last Sunday (Jul 17th). Excellent service, very good food and a fantastic view. We could not find fault here.

The food is great and has a fair price.The drinks are a bit overpriced,but every drink is special.Worth the visit.

Great tacos!

The server was friendly. The entrees were delicious. Then the golf tournament people showed up. Service slowed down significantly and noise level went through the roof with piercing whistles and cheering. It was not what we expected to have to deal with during a Sunday evening meal. To top it off, there was no lava cake and decaf coffee. When someone makes a reservation, it might be in your best interest to.let the party know if there will be a large tournament gathering.

The hostess, who I later learned is the manager was not friendly and didnt barely say hello to me when I walked in. She has a bad case of RBF and looked annoyed. The waitress however was lovely and very friendly. Thankfully she made up for the unfriendly first impression.

Hostess was RUDE as I came out from the bathroom to my already seated table like the keeper of the gate. Waitress was scattered and asked about 4 times what I had told a minor to try her drink to make sure it didn t have booze In it food was the only saving grace. Will definitely not return. So disappointed at this birthday dinner.

We were lucky enough to have Tyson as our server, his professionalism and easy personality made our dining experience a notch above what we expected. I enjoyed my meal, drinks and the setting, all with COVID protocols in place.

Usually I try to find something good to say about a local business. While the food was good it was probably the worst service I have ever had. It took over 20 minutes after we were seated before anyone came to take our order then it took about 10 more minutes for water to arrive and another 15 for our drinks... The appetizer was dropped off without any cutlery or napkins. The meals took quite a while afterwards. We only actually saw our waitress 3 times. Once for drink orders, asked how meal was once and brought the bill. I hope it was just a bad night but really not impressed.

Waited over 20 minutes for drinks, water was empty. Over 45 minutes to get our food. The server had no help from fellow staff members and was overwhelmed. This is a management error, felt sorry for the server.

Very disappointed. Service was not up to standard. Were very excited to get our meal as we had heard such great things, just to be thoroughly disappointed. Bun on burger was so soggy it was inedible. Server when she finally came back ( drinks empty at this point) on a ameak oh Im sorry. Never offered to do anything or even ask if we wanted another drink. I wooild be hesitant to return anytime soon

Went to Masons for dinner tonight. Had a large party that they were able to accommodate. Service and food were excellent. 4 stars due to lack of parking.

We ordered the seafood linguini and it is so good- the seafood portion is very generous! The cocktails are awesome too. Server was friendly and pasta came quickly even though it was pretty busy. Would definitely recommend!

Had an amazing dinner at Masons last week! Had the bruschetta as an appy and surf and turf for dinner - both were delicious!! Drinks were also tasty and service was quick and friendly. Will definitely be going back again soon!

Gorgeous wooden interior with high ceilings serving oversized portions by conscientious staff. My sweet potato & pea shoot salad was massive but the sweet potatoes didnt taste real and the shoots were too tough to eat. Vax check was legit.

This was my third visit to Masons and the first positive experience. My first experience I was seated and then no one visited the table for over 20 minutes so my party got up and left. The second visit was not super fantastic service wise.... however third time is the charm! I think the new ownership may have had some growing pains but our visit last night was excellent. Very prompt and pleasant service. Pasta night was super tasty and a great craft beer menu made the whole table happy. A robust and appealing menu has something everyone enjoyed.

I dont ever complain , but this time I was not impressed with my meal . Have not been up to Masons for a very long time and heard nothing but great things about their meals . 8 of us went for dinner , 5 ordered the Pork Schnitzel, the other 3 something else ..... our meals came , my schnitzel was dry , overdone and like jerky .... everyone elses was golden , thick and tender. When the waitress came back to check on our meals , I had finished the side ... beet salad and cucumber side ( very good ) I did complain about the pork . She was very good and said they would replace it ..... but even though they did it was too late to enjoy it . Sorry but I was really disappointed after hearing good things about Masons.

We go for either dinner or just drinks with my wife and friends on any given day, the service from their staff is excellent and the food is very good. Prices are not out of line compared to other restaurants. In the summer the view on their deck is worth a million dollars. Peter and Tina are great owners.

Breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding top notch Bighorn Golf course. If you are lucky you can see some of the local Bighorn sheep! Food is good and service is friendly and welcoming.

The ownership is fantastic. While planning our wedding at Masons, we were elated with how Tina involved us in the menu planning process. She was very flexible and transparent and we felt well taken care of throughout the process. Definitely 5 stars.

We had the seafood linguine and the petite surf and turf. Our server was fantastic and handled our special requests for the patio and food expertly. The petite surf and turf deserve special mention and is a definite must-try. The caesar was delicious and I appreciated the pickled asparagus vs beans or beef jerky of other establishments, although tighter measures need to be taken from the bar on quality control as the asparagus looks like it had been 6 rounds with Mike Tyson in his prime.

Other then the view there was not a whole lot to impress. Had an order of the surf n turf, medium rare, however it came well done smothered in sauce. The scallops where over cook and not properly rinsed, potatoes where somewhat undercooked and still had a slight crunch. As for the old fashion I ordered plz refrain from giving such a well respected drink such a name. Came with a cherry and orange, as well as cube ice like a cup of water and cheap alcohol. Common even Earls did not put cube ice all over it. Deep fried food was alright tho.

Another great spot in Kamloops! Gorgeous views, There is a restaurant side and a pub side with a large patio deck on both. The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and they have a good selection of drinks. Bike there, it is a good climb.

Masons Delivers Big @ Bighorn Golf Course Great 19th hole after a round at Bighorn! Masons delivered. Wifey and I decided to spend our wedding anniversary dinner at Masons as we knew we would be hunger after a round, and had to make 1.5 hour drive back to our resort in Vernon. Both time we have been in the restaurant, the service has been great. Tyson our server did an excellent job in beer recommendations and went through the menu for us. We were practically impressed with the restaurants Covid procedures. Staff was constantly cleaning after guests. The food was great. We ended up having bar special favorites. Wifey had wings and fries, and I had the nachos which were to die for. Very flavorful. Not a traditional anniversary dinner but it was us after golf. Thank you Masons & Bighorn for giving us a great wedding anniversary day!!

Weve taken our family of 5 here a few times now and are pleased with the food, service, prices and selection of appies. Mix and match appies is such a nice option with a group like ours. We will be back! Its fun to end the evening here after a round of golf.

Had the take-out Thanksgiving dinner last night. It was amazing. Generous portions of each and every food. Tasted like it was home cooked! I would definitely eat there again.

Good food. Reasonable prices. Good Service. Great views! As a bonus, about 20 bighorn sheep were dining on lawns and shrubs outside the clubhouse while we ate our lunch.

Enjoyed our meal - we were visiting in the area, and at first I thought this was a private clubhouse. Very pleased to find out it wasnt. Food was great, nice drinks and dessert, wonderful view, and terrific service.

Edit: Gave it another try, service was good, drinks were delivered in a timely manor and most importantly the food was very good. Definitely give this place a shot! Excited to have such a good restaurant in the neighborhood.

Took over an hour for our food, chicken Caesar salad was very disappointing. I could have made it better at home and was $19 with minimal chicken and no bread on the side, I was still hungry. They brought the wrong beer to one of us at the table. Great location and interior. Too bad, definitely will not be back.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at Masons last week. Great views, excellent service and food. The atmosphere was very pleasant and despite being very busy it was easy to engage in conversation without having to shout to be heard! Will certainly go back there again.

I am not one to leave a negative review, but after multiple negative experiences I hope they find it constructive. I have 0 complaints with the food- always been good, but entirely the service/policies. Half the time I have called and ordered take out no problem, the other half they tell me they dont do it as they cannot guarantee food quality, I never know what the policy is that day so Ive stopped ordering. I understand being concerned about quality issue but then either dont do it at all or do it and give disclaimers, youre turning away customers that the previous establishment provided for. Community members have been given discount cards which I never paid attention to and one day asked the server what the perks were (something about wine that is really nothing at all) and commented to the guest I was with People must be disappointed, Hoodoos gave 10% , to which I was told we didnt really want to give anything, just the community was complaining too much. On another occasion a group of about 8 of us went around 2/3pm and inquired about drink specials or happy hour to which we were told Were not that kind of discount establishment. Having a happy hour does not lower your restaurants status, perhaps you should consider introducing one to get people in the door as targeting a specific demographic does not seem to be working, or try being open for breakfast as golf starts early. Yesterday a group of 10 went for a birthday lunch, majority of the table does/has worked in the service industry and therefor are super understanding, but likely had our last visit. The establishment was dead and guests werent greeted for 20 mins so they re-sat themselves elsewhere/we had to come inside and grab our drinks (already made and server talking) from the bar ourselves/ order 2 drinks at once because we rarely seen our server/tap drinks sometimes poured inches from the top & filled with ice/having to come inside to pay when asked for the bill. Perhaps the server was new but this place is aiming to be high end while consistently delivering sub par service. Only convenient option nearby so hoping they manage to turn things around unlike the last.

Great food, wonderful view of valley combined with friendly service. Ambiance was wonderful. This is a great place to sit down, relax for a few hours, and talk with a few friends.

Went for appies and drinks last night.. place was not packed at all but yet our drinks came after our food was cooked and on the table! Server didnt mention we would be charged $2 for an extra spoonful of sour cream for our nachos! Deeply disappointed in the lack of service!
