I ordered a Mike burger to go and when I got home, I thought they had made a mistake and gave me a Baby Mike. Nope that s just how much much they ve shrunk their burgers back.( Shrinkflation). They also forgot the Mike sauce. I worked there when I was in high school, it s a shame to see the quality of this product at this level.

Excellent service from Hillary on a Saturday afternoon lunch. She was extremely efficient and enquired with the kitchen about an item we were interested in. The plant based burgers were so good and not dried out like a lot of places serve them. As well, the house dressing(poppyseed I think) on our side garden salads we delicious. Well done Mr. Mikes Kamloops! Vegetarian options: The plant based burger patty was fantastic. It was well cooked and great tasting.

Food was great but portions were small.

Exceptional service, came with a group of 21 including 16 kids for a hockey team, pre-ordered our meal and we were in and out in 25 minutes. Everyone enjoyed their experience!

We went to Mr Mikes in Kamloops as we were passing through. We were pleasantly surprised! Great atmosphere, busy place, great service, awesome wings and the steak was perfect! Dietary restrictions: They have keto options and are gluten sensitive! It s why we like Mr Mikes. It s hard to find food out for a diabetic and a celiac.

Friday, November 15th, seven of us dined at this restaurant. It took 45 minutes for the meals to come to the table. This was because the kitchen staff - on a Friday night - had failed to defrost any salmon. Even though salmon is offered as an option for a half dozen of the dishes on the menu. Then, when the meals did come to the table three of the seven meals were the wrong order. Two of the meals were the Cascadia salad. One of them came with a slab of salmon on it. Even though the person who ordered it was a strict vegetarian. The waitress took it away, and brought it back about 2 minutes later with no salmon on it. We had to wonder if it was the exact same salad, just with the salmon removed from it. Something not acceptable to a strict vegetarian. The other thing that was just disgusting was that the two Cascadia salas that were ordered did not come with any of the honey, lemon, poppy seed dressing. They were just completely dry salads. As in dry kale. Because we had no menus on the table, The two members of our party that ordered the salads just assumed that the salads were as horrific as the rest of the food - and ate them. Dry. Then, my 79-year-old father had to wait an extra 10 minutes for the onion rings that he had ordered with his meal. That was after his meal finally showed up - 45 minutes after he ordered. If there is any defense for Mr. Mikes on Summit drive in Kamloops, its that the manager offered to buy dessert for four or five at our table. Remember, this is a table of seven. Nice gesture. But wait, it gets better. I told the waitress all seven of us would be ordering dessert and that we would accept the managers offer to pay for them. When the seven desserts arrived, two of them were the wrong order. In other words, this waitress got three of the seven meals wrong, and two of the seven desserts wrong. Despite writing them down on a piece of paper. When one of the desserts came out from the kitchen - it was a warm chocolate pudding - instead of the cheesecake that had been ordered - the waiter said, no problem thats an easy fix. He then took the warm chocolate pudding away. My question is - where did he take it? Did he stick it back in the fridge and then warm it up later to give to somebody else? What was his easy fix for a specialty dessert that wasnt ordered? All in all, it was the worst restaurant experience that Ive had in the last two years. Maybe the worst one Ive ever had in Kamloops. I am emphasized this because for the last two days - since eating his meal at Mr Mikes - my 79-year-old father has been sick to his stomach and unable to eat anything. Thats after experiencing what is euphemistically referred to as the runs on the night that he took the food. There were so many things wrong with this experience that its hard to be constructive and determine which ones are fixable. The kitchen staff must be insane to not have removed a key piece of their menu from the freezer earlier in the day so that would be ready for their rush hour service. The waitress must need eyeglasses or an extensive lesson in how to key in orders into the intake system. The manager needs a lesson in public relations. How do you offer to repair poor service by only buying desserts for 2/3 of the people at my table? Did he want us to arm wrestle for it to see who was going to get the complimentary desserts? And what did happen to that complimentary dessert that wasnt ordered - the chocolate pudding? Who got stiffed with that the next night, after it had already been heated and then reheated? And if thats not how it went down - then you have to wonder how you can run a restaurant when your premier dessert is going into the belly of your kitchen staff because they cant get the orders correct. And remember, none of this explains why it is that my fathers been sick for the last 2 and 1/2 days - directly after eating the food that came to him nearly an hour late. Im sorry. Theres no easy way to say this. But this restaurant experience was nothing less than shameful. I hope no one has to suffer the same

The staff was very friendly & our waitress was fantastic, very prompt.

There was an employee in the corner near us with headphones on having a meeting and she was very loud, not the place to be having online meetings at all, was very distracting listening to her

Probably the best restaurant we had on our 6 weeks trip! Very family friendly. Great food, fantastic drinks (Pink Elephant), reasonably priced. Extremely great waitress! Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff. Kids menu with great prices. Crayons.

We stopped for dinner during a three day stay in Kamloops. My husband had the Bugaboo Ribs and I had the Oscars Steak lobster. My husband liked his ribs. As requested, my steak was medium rare but was very tough. I mentioned it to the server and her response was that maybe it needed to be cooked longer. I ve had melt in your mouth tender steak cooked like that. She did offer to have it remade, but we were hungry and in a hurry so there wasn t time. I ve made BBQ steak and pan fried steak at home, always medium rare and it was never this chewy unless it was a cheaper cut of meat. The garlic mashed potatoes were very soft and flavourless. The Oscar part of the meal lacked flavour as well. All of this and the prices were very high for the quality of the food. Parking: There was ample parking, enough that a huge buss was parked in the lot and didn t appear to block anyone.

As Always Mr Mikes shines through with their signature steaks. I had the steak and lobster with loaded baked potato,but I suggest if you want fresh ?to go during peak hours and not close to closing. Parking: Its like any other parking lot where sometimes during peak hours its the luck of the draw that someone is pulling out when you pull in.

Good tasty stake but the salad on side wasn t the best. If you are looking for a stake and good price come here. If you are looking for a high quality place isn t the best. 4 starts because of the salad and because we waited 10 min for the bill and wasn t busy

Great food and drinks and reasonably priced. Well-located if you are passing through Kamloops on your way through the Trans Canada Higway. Service was a little bit slow but there were only two waitresses for the whole local so it is understandable.

We both had the chicken dish that came with rice and a veggie. I didnt intend on eating my rice cuz Im trying to do keto. Then they told me they only had enough rice for one person. And that they could Sub in anything that I wanted for it. For us that was great I had a salad instead. We had a bottle of wine and a great meal it was an old fashioned date with my hubby it was so much fun

I do enjoy Mr Mikes, but I feel that the fry portions have shrunk, or was it just mine?? I know how franchises can be, but please dont go down that slippery slope. Reasonable prices, portions and quality are what increase revenue.

Excellent food and service!

Hard review to leave. I havent had a bad meal here untill now. Six of us came for a birthday dinner. Service was excellent. Appies were excellent and well received. 5 of the dinners including a salad, burgers and chicken sandwich were great with no compliments. I splurged on the steak and jumbo prawns. Double the price of the other orders. Worst meal there. Steak was over cooked, cold and CHEWEY. Even with a steak knife it was hard to cut. Prawns were like chewing on rubber. Veggies, i cant even describe how they tasted as they seemed off. Possibly the most disappointing meal I have had in a very long time. That said, I am assuming it was a one off and I will go back.

Happy hour was good as always. Katie was fabulous and so up beat. We are frequent flyers at Mr. Mikes and they have never let us down. Updated upholstery helped with the atmosphere. Thanks Katie, see you again!!

I have been here twice now in the last couple weeks, and each time was kind of disappointing. The first time we were sitting on the patio, The food was delicious, but the service was something to be desired. We had about three different people come up to us saying that they were going to be our new server, and the last server completely forgot about us. So we sat there with empty drinks for about half an hour before we decided to get up and leave. The second time we showed up at about 8pm on a Thursday for lodge night. We order drinks and an appy and a couple burgers. The service was better but the burgers took probably almost 40 minutes to come out. They finally came out after 9pm, Then the server had informed us that they closed at 9. I guess we probably should have checked the hours first, but I thought they would be open until at least 10 considering their specials dont start until 8pm on Thursday. Needless to say we packed up our burgers and left. Probably wont come back again.

The absolute worst steakhouse Ive ever been to. Definitely not getting a bang for your buck. The service was very casual, there was food and garbage all over the floor,the vegetables are frozen out of a bag . Steaks not cooked to any sort of accurate standards. Should have known by the fact that we were one of 2 couples on a Friday night and the place was otherwise empty that the restaurant was a write off. The one in Duncan on the island was fantastic so I had assumed this one would be to the same standard. Not the case. 200$ I might as well have thrown in the gutter.

The best server is Suzie! She is always attentive, listens to special requests (all veggies instead of potato or melted butter instead of the regular topping for the veggies, ect.) and makes going there for a meal a special night!

I came here for my first outing after a car accident and our server Jayme was incredibly accommodating. She noted the temperature and made sure I was comfy, she even turned the music down for me without me asking. Service like that is rare these days, so thank you for making my first time out of the house tolerable and enjoyable Jayme.

As someone with celiac, Im often leary of my first experience at a new restaurant. I was very pleased with how accommodating the staff was. They were very careful to make sure my food was safe for me. Obviously some things had to be modified but they did a great job and it tasted amazing. Ill definitely be back.

My dad took me to Mr. mikes his favourite restaurant in the past. He wanted the classic mike burger I ordered a steak. My dad enjoyed his Mike burger, but my steak was over cooked and our food took nearly 30 minutes to arrive I would have asked for another steak however I was not prepared to wait another 30 minutes for a steak. I really expected more from a steak house.

A very kind service staff went out of her way to help a blind gentleman navigate the resteraunt to the washroom facilities and back to his table.

Great service good food

Great burgers, great steaks and really good pub-like food. Check out Thursday after 8:00 for cheap beer and half price food. -edit 2023 update. Quality of food is still there but the quantity has gone down about 40% on most items and price has also gone up about the same amount. I know its normal for the times but we surely noticed the huge difference tonight and it will impact our decisions in the future.

The Mike burger is extremely good.

This was a terrible experience. When going to a steakhouse, you would think that your steak would be cooked to perfection. My steak was extremely overdone and tough. There were not many gluten-free options, so I had to pay an arm and a leg for a terrible steak! The server was good, though, and the atmosphere was nice enough, but not for the price.

We were driving thru from BC to SK and love Mr Mikes! This destination did not prove us wrong! Food was awesome and service great!! Manager took extra time to help me with my Mr Mike s app!! We will definitely stop twice a year on our BC-Sk and back venture!!!

We always enjoy our meal at Mr Mikes the Cascadia salad is so good we usually sub it out from the fries. We always have good service and our burgers are cooked perfectly. We try to go a few minutes before happy hour is over to take advantage of drink specials. I recommend Mr Mikes go enjoy

Always great food. Sometimes you are hit and miss with the service staff. Depending on the time of day! Love the special too that come on. The points reward system is awesome!! Ive lived in Kamloops for many years now and have only just made my way into this restaurant. Steak isnt really my thing so I was happy to see they had other menu items. Clean and bright atmosphere with that nice sports bar feeling by the back end of the restaurant. The drinks were delicious, the food was brought out in a reasonable time and our waitress was amazing and incredibly personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our appies and main dishes, everything was cooked the way we requested. Lots of parking space and overall a great experience. Keep up the good work Mr. Mikes Team!

Every time we are here we get really great service. The kind where they have everything to you right away, great communication. Even reasonable prices for todays restaurant pricing. Their happy hour and specials could go on a bit longer in my opinion but the bar staff is always great and very fast. Usually the wait time is not more then 20 mins if its packed but I love their points! We have gotten a lot of free stuff with that system. You dont really get that anywhere else at a nice restaurant. Ill add as well that if they make a mistake, they are quick to go above and beyond to fix it. Its also kid friendly, they have board games for them to play at the table. Id recommend this place to anyone, food is delicious:)

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Kamloops. Food is always amazing, drinks are great, they do drinks that they dont do at other places for my daughter. I just love this place I worked for Mr Mikes back when I was 15 years old inPenticton in BC loved it then love it now one of my favorites.

Got the oven roasted citrus glazed salmon (blackened) dinner and chicken tenders and fries. The salmon was a hit, only critique was the top was a bit overcooked. The chimichuri sauce was amazing as well was the double stuffed baked potato. The chicken tenders were average. A bit lacking in flavor but no real pro or con. Ordered online and found it easy to use. Enjoyed the meal but would probably not get tenders again just because (for the price) I expected better flavor.

Awesome place. Excellent food quality personel. Went early on Mothers Day, second year in a row, and enjoyed the meal tremendously. Food is good but I was very disappointed in how it came. I asked for a lettuce WRAPPED burger and it was plunked on 1/2 a wilted lettuce leaf with another 1/2 a lettuce leaf beside it.(If A&W can present their burger on ample iceberg lettuce which stays crispy, I think a higher class restaurant can learn this.)

My mom and I went to this location last night and were served by Emily. Fantastic service, she was personable, efficient, and observant! Excellent customer service by Emily, I hope that she is recognized for her above and beyond service.

Had the Mr. Mike classic burger. Its served in French bun with fries. It has no condiments, no lettuce, tomatoes or onions except melted cheese on the burger & a pickle slice on top. Although the bun was really fresh, the burger was kind of tasteless. The fries were good though and it was a filling meal. The service was pretty good but food took longer to prepare..

Maybe I just getting old but everything was fine but . . . Something was missing to make it pop! But would go back and try again.

Just left with our daughter and her friends for her bday dinner...staff was amazing, food and drinks great- table games a great surprise! Well be back!

Passing through Kamloops thought we try them. Went during the dinner rush. Got seated quickly and served our food came out quickly as well. Unfortunately the Ribs were dry and tough. Had to use a steak knife to try and separate them. Even then it was hard to do.

Loved the whole experience at Mikes in Kamloops! We had a sirloin steak dinner and an oven baked salmon dinner and both ate every morsel! We will be back - great relaxing atmosphere!

Good food, attentive staff. A bit expensive

Party of 8 with reservations celebrating an 80th birthday. This was not our best experience at this location. It was loud and hard to hear the people beside us and impossible to hear anyone at the other end of the table. Not much the restaurant can do about that but we wont consider large group dining there again. Table of 4 only please. Our server was the absent kind. We had to flag her down to get refills on drinks and water, at one point 7 of the 8 of us had empty water and beverage glasses. When she brought more drinks, she didnt clear empty glasses so at one point there was at least 24 glasses on the table and our plates werent cleared when we were done eating. If fact they werent cleared until about 20 min later when we started stacking them ourselves at the end of the table. Something a patron should not need to do when they are expected to tip for service. Price and portion size are no longer balanced. Prices are higher and portions are smaller. No doggy bags left our table which is unusual for our group. The food was good, and we all enjoyed the meal despite being unable to enjoy the company we were sharing it with.

The salad had rotten pieces of lettuce. Hope I dont get sick! They did offer to make a whole new salad. Was told once someone complains they throw out old salad and make a new one. Should be quality control before it gets to customers. Dissapointing place to eat for $44!

I would LOVE to leave a fantastic review, but sadly, I cannot at this time. We were brought to Kamloops, as our daughter was airlifted here due to very serious health issues and having 8 weeks left in her pregnancy. We had been taking care of our level 3 non verbal autistic grandson. We decided to make a reservation for dinner as we needed a break desperately. We called Mr Mikes and explained everything and how due to his autistic meltdowns, we needed a corner table away from people. We asked the best time as well. The friendly girl, told us 7pm as 5 pm to 7pm was busy time. She said she reserved us a table in the back corner away from people. We arrived at 7pm after receiving text message confirming earlier that day, only to find our table had been accidentally given away! They were not very apologetic and kept telling us he would be just fine. After back and forth, they sat us amidst a few tables and the fun and screaming began. Long story short, the server really did not want to visit our table. We finally got our food and there was hair cooked and wrapped right into my husbands carrots.....literally attached. They took it back and I ended up trying to eat alone. However, by the time his food came back, our grandson was in full mode and we ended up having to box everything, including desserts up. I was so angry and defeated and just sobbed on the way back to our hotel, that I wrote a letter to Mr Mikes head office. I received a very nice email back quite quickly and she was amazing. They have invited us back to try again and this time, we will go on a date without our grandson as our daughter has since delivered a preemie baby boy and we are all in the hotel. I hope to update my review at that time. Kid-friendliness: Maybe for some kids but DEFINITELY NOT friendly to children with challenges.

If you ve been to one you know what you are in for. Food and service were good. Had the salt and pepper wings and they were fine.

Bus tour from Australia stopped in Kamloops. Absolutely amazing. Short walk up the hill from Ramada Kamloops, left hand side of the road. Food cooked to perfection, service the best. My husband cant eat certain food and the went above and beyond to make his dinner without these foods and checked ingredients of sauces etc very very busy so you may have to wait for a table but that was relatively quick. If you love steak, try it! $140 for dinner & drinks for 4 adults, great value.

Just moved to Kamloops and took my friend to this location for lunch on Wednesday, service was agonizingly slow and forgetful, not because it was busy, but because our waiter kept sitting down with other tables. To top it off the guy was such a creep to alot of the woman that walked in the place. Needless to say we won t be back. What an odd experience , my friend was also not impressed with how this was going we have both been in the industry for many years now so very sad to see

Sorry but not happy. Went September 2nd with our Mother and niece. Mom s meal of fettuccine with shrimp and scallops was only thing good. Had some ants from window on my niece! Not good. Pulled edge of booth cushions looking for ants. No ants but have not been wiped cleaned at all. Get some cleaners in every day!! Husbands Mike Burger is frozen patti that tastes like sawdust. My Cajun chicken breast with salad. Cut in half to see cooked. Cajun spice burnt and cut so chicken totally dry. Staff great but price of food not good. Sorry, but if paying to eat out I expect a CLEAN RESTURANT! Dietary restrictions: Had Keto but really unhappy with food

Terrible food steak was over cooked and cold salad had no dressing and was all arugula mushrooms where not cooked and everything was cold the waitress took forever and didn t ask if my daughter wanted anything to drink didn t serve me because I didn t have ID I am 35 lol my moms food was a joke she ordered a dip and there was maybe 3 teaspoons of it in her bowel I laughed when she got got.. and my kiddo had a hair in her Mac and cheese all around a terrible experience non of us ate our meals and left hungry and over charged they said they would fix my meal they took it and scraped the mushrooms to the side and re gave it to me not heated at all she never asked if we wanted refills she was rude and I will never go back! the manager didn t do sweet all.. I never complain but that was so bad and why should you pay for a meal you can t even choke down if I could give this less then a star I d give it poop emoji

Too many flies in restaurant

Pretty sad. Walked in with a party of 5 at 5pm on a Saturday. Barely anyone in the place and they tell us they are full for anything over 4. Oh well, probably saved us some money.

Such good food!!! Stuffed mushrooms to start, steak/spuds and veggies for dinner. So hungry I didnt get a chance for pics. Excellent service by the server. Quick service and ordering. I was there on a Wednesday, nice and quiet. Busy but alot of distance between the full tables, I really liked that.

This is my favourite place to eat. I love the food, service, and deals! If you join their club and visit on the month of your birthday they give you $25 towards your next meal! Every meal you eat there you get points towards future meals. They offer gift card deals at Christmas and other times to spread the love!

Ordered a steak sandwich with fries & onion rings. The steak was perfection but only received 2 tiny (the tiniest I have ever seen) onion rings and super salty fries. There was no veggie/salad with this order. It was very noisy but the service was fine. Very disappointed

We arrived with only 15 minutes until they were closing but our server Tyson still insisted we come on in (as I was going to leave since it was so close to closing time). He seated us and got us drinks right away. Our steak dinners were both fabulous and my husband and I were both totally impressed with our food. We werent rushed at all even though we were the last customers in the restaurant and Tyson was very attentive to our drinks etc. We will definitely be back and want to that Tyson and the cook that was on as they both did a fantastic job!

Decided to order out and BAD idea! We drove back home to Paul lake and this is the garbage they thought was good enough to sever their customers! Dried up brown fries 106 dollars for 5 original Mike burgers should a just went to Wendy s for 90 bucks!

Had a great meal at Mr Mikes in Kamloops but even better than the food was the service. Hats off to Emily. When I return I hope to sit in her section.

Had a great lunch here. Emily was super attentive and the gaucho steak was delicious.
