Been going here my whole life never once left disappointed! I promise even if you have to wait to get in its worth every second! Peters daughter has not let it lose any of its authenticy or charm since taking over for her dad......And her husband helped too I suppose lol

We arrived in Kamloops as a stopover during our transit through Canada, we both wanted Italian food and for this we went to Peters Pasta. What a great restaurant. We had to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get in, it was so busy, but it was so worth it. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere and the food was fantastic. So far the best pasta I have ever eaten. Definitely recommended when you are in Kamloops!

Absolutely fantastic, never disappoints, been coming here for years, decades! Always order their seafood Alfredo, Ceasars salad & of course, their creme brulee for dessert! The meal was delicious, but there were too many customers, so the waiter was very busy and you had to wait for a while to pay the bill.

In my limited reviews, I have never given 5 stars. Being my first visit to Kamloops I sussed out restaurants with good reviews. Peter s Pasta nailed it. Travelling for business on my own, I try to find hip places that have atmosphere and great food. I was so fortunate to pick Peter s - met a lovely family that invited me to join them and we had a great visit. They very kindly bought me dinner which was very much appreciated! I chose the fettucine with red clam sauce and it delivered. Pasta al dente, flavourful sauce and generous portions. The service was stellar - attentive, friendly and relaxing. I would highly recommend Peter s Pasta. Be prepared to wait as it is very popular. However, waiting often brings interesting results. Thank you for a great evening.

I visit everytime Im in town and its always consistently amazing!! The food is incredible m the service though I have never seen such efficiency!! The way they have the runners and checkers constantly curving in tables and running things out while one person takes the orders allows them to offer a service so incredible Ive never experienced it anywhere else. Now restaurants should follow this model as I never have to wait or flag anyone down. Incredible!!!

This might be the single best dinner I ve had in a restaurant in Kamloops. The food was outstanding, literally the perfect pasta dish (had the seafood Alfredo). Service was excellent, atmosphere was great. Highly recommend it.

Great pasta, and the free garlic toast is a nice tasty surprise. They are a machine in the kitchen and service to move tables, but so well executed it doesn t bother diners at all. Lively atmosphere because all the tables are full, and can be a great place for an early and quick dinner if you get there right at opening! The line looked super long at 5:00pm but they were able to seat everyone and when we left after a single pasta dish each, there were only a couple of parties waiting. I would recommend coming here for apps, a bottle of wine (the wine list looked lovely), pasta and dessert. It all looked great, and our pasta dishes were delicious. Service is just a bit quick if you re in there for an entree and nothing else!

While visiting Kamloops for work, a colleague recommended this place as the best in town, so I decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Ali, who promptly seated me with a friendly smile. My server, Nicole, was exceptional; she guided me through the menu and highlighted the local favorites. I opted for the seafood combo and Caesar salad, both of which were outstanding. To finish, I had the crème brûlée, and it was simply phenomenal. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the incredible staff. Ali and Nicoles hospitality made my visit memorable, making this spot a must-visit in Kamloops.

Ordered pasta from here tonight ~ what a hidden gem. Impressed how front line and centre the owners are. Friendly, attentive staff. Place was crowded and quite noisy ~ almost need a bigger space so people arent needing to shout to hear each other. The spaghetti bolgnese was delicious. A meal that truly tastes homemade. Will definitely be back.

Great restaurant! We enjoyed an evening out with family and friends tonight. Everyone loved their dishes. The waitresses were super busy, but they did a great job and even remembered our orders without writing them down, when we all ordered Gelato at the end. We got there just before they opened, and they were very systematic in getting the tables ready for when everyone entered the restaurant. It filled up fast and had a line up until we left. You cant make reservations, but they take good care of everyone. Even larger groups like ours. I would definitely go back.

It s an all around 11/10. Everything is absolutely WORLD-CLASS.

Was visiting Kamloops and decided to give this place a try as it seemed to be the only restaurant on the block that was attracting people. The staff was very friendly. Very cozy vibes inside. I got the carbonara (I think it was a special) with chicken and it was delicious. One thing to note is that their al dente was definitely more undercooked than what I was expecting. Wasn t an issue for me though.

One of the best restaurants in town. Locally owned too. Their pasta is always exquisite. I ve tried the Chicken Creamy Tomato, and Chicken Pesto on the linguine bed - both are amazing. Prices on the wine menu are relatively cheap in comparison to other places, which is nice. The line is definitely worth the wait, but I recommend coming 10-5 mins before the opening times to get seated first cause the line builds up pretty quickly. The only thing that I don t like about this place is the service. It always feels rushed. Every 5 mins, a different server comes up to ask how we re doing with our meals and interrupts a conversation or the eating. I understand that other people are waiting for a table, but we re customers too. We also visit the restaurant with the idea that we will enjoy our dinner time without feeling as if we are being asked to eat quickly and leave. It is distracting. It would have been better if every table was assigned to a specific server, like in any other restaurant.

Absolutely delicious!! Ceasar salad was amazing to start with followed by the delicious Seafood Alfredo! Fresh ingredients and generous portions! The service and atmosphere amazing!!! Cant wait to return to try other items from the menu!!

Road trip to kamloops. Our 1 night out, I really wanted a lasagna and red wine. The lasagna here is overcooked noodles and meat . A paste like consistency. I ate ¼ of it and made my displeasure known to owner. They still charged us the $24.00. If a customer isnt happy, you deal with it. Or not I guess. We saw great reviews, but wont be back. $70.00 for 2

A Tuesday night stop on the Rocky Mountaineer journey, ignored the recommendations and looked for the place the locals were eating and was not disappointed. Line was short, so the wait was too. A minor hiccup in the service when the busy owner/server forgot to return for the 2nd order, but not long enough to worry me before I caught her attention. Food arrived promptly thereafter and was superb. Just right handmade al dente linguine, generous quantities of seafood in the family recipe parmesan alfredo. Caesar salad w/chicken looked good too. Great family-friendly atmosphere. Thanks from New Zealand.

Enjoyed the meal, but my shrimp alfredo wasn t as creamy as I expected and there was a lot of watery sauce left on my plate. Service was above expectations and the atmosphere was upbeat. I will be back.

We ordered take-out food over the phone from Peter s Pasta at 5pm on Friday July 14, 2023. The food was ready in 15 minutes as promised, despite a busy, full restaurant when we arrive to pick it up. We ordered the Seafood Combo and create-your-own Cheese Tortellini with Bolognese sauce, both with side orders of Sautéed Mixed Vegetables. Three pieces of garlic bread were also included. All the food was very good. The vegetables were well seasoned and perfectly cooked tender, but slightly firm and tasted fresh. We also enjoyed the tortellini and cheese filling, Bolognese sauce, homemade linguini, and the seafood in the creamy red clam sauce. We would definitely return to Peter s Pasta.

First time and will NOT be our last. Both pastas we tried were excellent. There was a bit of a wait but they were moving it along very efficiently. The atmosphere was very nice, the kitchen was very impressive to see in action. Servers were also impressive, each pitching in seamlessly. We never felt unattended to. The owner, Nicole, seemed to touch in on every table at least twice, very courteous and attentive. Very fairly priced and diverse menu. Clean and attractive restaurant. They earn all 5 stars in my view!!

I have a stomach ache now, noodles undercooked, Sauce tasted good but the texture was grainy and starchy, the seafood was fresh which was a relief because that means the stomach ache is just from the thick heavy undercooked noodles. Staff was friendly but I think the kitchen needs to change a few things.. not worth the price. The place also does not accept debit which is a pain, and they asked me to pick my order up via back door in the alley which was strange, my guess is due to lack of parking but I mean if my girlfriend went to pick up the order alone I wouldnt want her wandering around to find a poorly marked back door in a dark downtown Kamloops alley..

Overall cost was not worth the tummy ache... The sauce was pure starch and the noodles were so thick and heavy. We ordered two pastas with linguine noodles (which are supposed to be flat) but instead got garden hose size noodles lol... Highly do not recommend this place. Skip the disappointment and find a real Italian restaurant in Kamloops. We will not be back....

This has been our familys go to restaurant in Kamloops for years! Great food, good atmosphere, and friendly staff! We always recommend it to friends and family from out-of-town if they are only here for one night. Bonus, that they have now opened a sister-restaurant next door (insert drooling).

All the dishes we ordered were delicious. Their hot sauce was yummy, and we bought a bottle for future use. It is a busy place. Service was on time. All in all, we had a lovely evening.

Her first order of my wife and I ordered herb chicken.itbwas good Two days later I ordered the chicken stir fry my wife ordered chiroso and peppers. After our first meal I was very disappointed my stir fry was literally drowning in sauce. My wifes also had a fair amount of sauce so you couldnt really eat it because the noodles would be splashing sauce everywhere unless you cut the noodles into bite-size pieces

Went with two Japanese guests and asked for fettuccine but instead got yakisoba. Also, we sat tight with 6 other talkative people and it was awkward as eff. The sauce wasnt bad and leaned into authentic but not a 5 and more seafood please.

The food and service was straight up top shelf. We waited a long time to get in as it was a Friday and it was worth every second. The only bad thing about here is that deciding which of the delicious meals to get is really tough. I ordered the cheese tortellini and it was to die for. Super excited to try something else next time!

Would love to try this place one day. Really unfortunate that theyre only open the equivalent of 16 hours a week. Makes it very hard to get in especially since the lines up are out the door and 30 - 60 min wait to be seated.

We had a very bad experience. Manager took our order and my spouse told her about her allergy to sesame seeds. She asked her if any items of our order contains sesame seed or sesame oil. But manager told with confidence that they don t use it in any of their dishes. We trusted her word considering she is the manager of the place. But by the time we finished our meal my wife started having the allergic reactions. There was another lady also waiting our table and we asked her to check if the dishes served to us have sesame seeds. We were sitting next to open kitchen. The chef was asked in front of us and he too said with confidence that they don t use it. But later another young person in the kitchen checked and said that the gravy for veg stir fry contains sesame seeds. After that there was no courtesy shown to us by the manager or chef. They didn t approach our table to talk to us. Only after making the payment when I told the same manager about this incident she did apologize and said it wasn t intentional. Off course it won t be intentional. But my major concern is when the allergy has been reported in advance why she didn t check with chef or staff of the kitchen. Even how come the chef who is cooking the dish is not aware of the ingredients and another staff in the kitchen had to acknowledge the presence of the sesame seeds. My wife had severe allergic reaction and our evening was ruined by their ignorance.

Second trip to Peters Pasta, worth waiting in line outside for. The meals have been amazing, and packed with flavor. I ravioli (stuffed with braised short rib and asiago) with the spicy garlic cream sauce.

The BEST!! The Caesar and Mushroom linguine are my fave. The service, food and atmosphere are always a 10/10!

That was a huge disappointment!!! I ordered take out for my husband and I. It cost 50 dollars and the food tasted worse than Boston Pizza. My seafood Alfredo was so peppery that I couldnt finish it. The sauce was very runny and my noodles were not cooked all the way through. My husband had the lasagna and the portion size was so small he was still hungry after. I will never eat there again!!!!

Good, but a couple things to note: their al dente is a bit undercooked in my opinion, was quite chewy. The other one is once you are done you go up to pay, we waited for 15 mins before seeing another couple go up front to pay.

What can you say... get there early... dont take reservations and 20min after they open restaurant is filled to max capacity with a line at the door long enough for you to get the idea they were giving it away! Homemade pasta and sauces. Scrumptious desserts make Peters a must for visitors and locals alike! Awesome stuff

I do not like to leave bad reviews but I have to. We have been trying to support local throughout the pandemic. We ordered the other night. Online wasnt working properly. The phone number didnt work. We had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes even after explaining the website and phone issues. We tried to make this right with the manager and she didnt care at all, not even an apology. The food was mediocre at best and the smallest portions Ive ever seen. We will not be back.

Real fresh pasta and sauces made daily! So good we had to come back twice in one week. The service is absolutely impeccable. Everyone from the cooks to the servers were so nice and personable. I can t believe just how good the pasta was. Some of the best I ve ever had. Definitely the best I ve had in Canada.

As always the food and service was terrific. The lineup outside may be off-putting, but their kitchen staff does an amazing job of pushing out food quickly, so you dont end up waiting long. That being said the wait is always worth it.

Excellent food however the takeout containers leave much to be desired as they arent compostable and made of dense plastic. Environmentally friendly takeout containers would make this place top notch.

Picture this, youre traveling through Kamloops. Youre looking for a great dinner and check the reviews on Google maps. You see 2 very highly rated places, Brownstone and Peters Pasta. As it is a Monday theyre both closed. You decide to go to Mittz Kitchen instead. Tuesday rolls around and you want dinner again. You decide on the pasta place because Brownstone is very pricey. You show up, theres a line, people are walking out with takeout containers. All of this is a good sign for a restaurant. So how did it all go so wrong? The service was fine. 10$ tall boy beers, not on tap. 25-30$ bowls of pasta, half the size youd expect. Pasta comes super al dente, no choice. Very likely fake parm, had to ask for 4 extra portions to be enough for 2 bowls of pasta. Garlic bread is NOT complimentary... go to East Side Marios instead. None of these problems are there and its half the price.

Way more worth it to travel to Calgary to get east side Marios.

Amazing!... My absolute favorite place in town! Nicole and Barry are so friendly and nice, amazing service. The food, of course amazing. I love the cozy, dim lit atmosphere as well. I take all my out of town visitors here for dinner and they never forget about it and want to come on the next visit. Thank you Peters Pasta!

Chicken herbs

Overall, I liked Peters Pasta, and I would go back. The chicken mushroom alfredo was awesome, and reminded me of homemade mushroom sauces from back in Poland. However, the pasta seemed undercooked. Im no expert, but Ive never had pasta that underdone before. The noodles are thick, but still crunchy in the middle. Im not sure if that was intentional, or if our meals were just underdone by accident. They have limited hours, so plan ahead. We showed up about 15 minutes after opening, and got seated about 25 minutes later.

The pasta and atmosphere are fantastic. Superb location as well and the staff they have working there are great. My only complaint would be the prices. The dishes average around $25 which for an average portion of pasta, albeit very well made pasta, are above average.

Amazing food and customer service from owners Nicole and Barry. They make you feel so welcome and taken care of. The food is incredible. They make the pasta and pasta sauces in house fresh daily and you can taste the difference! Must visit and worth the long waits.

One of my worst dining experiences ever. Took 10 minutes after I walked into the restaurant for me to even be addressed in anyway. Finally was told it was about a 20 minute wait which I would not be allowed to wait in my car for. Ive been to many sit down restaurants that dont take reservations unless you walk in but never one that makes you wait in line either in a crowded seating area (during covid no less) or outside in the cold. I decide to wait because reviews of their pasta are so good at this point I realize my phone is dying and ask if theres somewhere I can charge it, again no, and no I cant charge my phone in my vehicle either (I am here for dinner alone and would like to answer work messages Ive left unattended throughout a busy day as well as have a phone to walk back to my car with after dark). The couple infront of me assures that the pasta is worth the so far bad service and the wait. It was not. I ordered the charcuterie board, which was a solid meh, definitely the worst one Ive ever had, though Im used to good restaurants. I also ordered the shrimp Alfredo, which came loaded with shrimp, perhaps to try to hide the watery flavorless sauce. Straight up, it was as thick as maybe 3.5% milk. The pasta itself was maybe a 6/10. Not sure if the hostess hated me for being baffled with the low quality of service that I was given bad food or if this is their standard. Regardless that was awful and I regret coming here. I always tip 20%, this is the first time Ive left no tip since I was very young and very broke.

This is my go to restaurant whenever I am hosting company from out of town. They never cease to provide excellent service and a full experience start to finish of excellent food. The caesar salad to the entree (all their fresh made pasta and sauces are amazing!) and desserts. Love it at Peters, love the new owners as much as the old ones, over all experience continues to be top notch.

Very good homemade pasta with lots of pasta options to choose from

its a family owned business since 1986 in house made pasta and dishes well worth the stop if your in kamloops for some Italian.

Would give it zero if I could...used to be a favorite place and I was looking forward to taking my Mom to dinner there. We waited (first in line) for over 30 minutes and workers kept walking past but no one even acknowledged that we were there. Others left and finally we did too. You expect the employees to at least come and give you a heads up for how long the wait will be, say hello....something, anything!

Very friendly staff, fantastic food, service is great, very attentive to each patrons needs. Always a good meal, relaxed atmosphere (even with all COVID restrictions). The prices have gone up in past year but totally expected and not unreasonable. Will definitely recommend to my friends and I will be back when they return from holiday break
