The braised short rib melts in your mouth. And the underbelly special is DELICIOUS! We are fortunate to have travelled around the world and try many dishes. This is one of the best I ve had! Hands down. Layers of flavours. Will be back!

Dietary restrictions: Incredible food and service. They took care to ask me if I was celiac before I even had the chance to bring it up myself. I had the short rib and I could eat it every day for the rest of my life and be happy, thats just how good it was. Food

Absolutely amazing dinner 10/10 every single time we come, my partner and I enjoyed a beautiful setting of the restaurant , I LOVED the short rib and my partner had the underbelly and both just melted in your mouth- was absolutely delicious I had the peach bourbon sangria and it was also beyond tasty and the beer was perfect / perfect taste and foam. THE BLUEBERRY BASIL CHEESECAKE made our night ! It was so good, I ve never ate a cheesecake that slow and the reason was I wanted to take in every bite. Jordan helped us with our meal selection and he was beyond kind, professional and welcoming , he is a fantastic server and suits the company beautifully ! came at 930, website says they are opened till 11, hostess looked me up and down and said they werent serving food anymore (just alcohol)..I doubt they are liquor primary. When I was walking out saw her smiling at the other server as if to say, dont worry we can still go home eay.

Celebrated our 50th anniversary here on Saturday night with friends. The food was delicious. We had the calamari special as our appetizer. Highly recommend!! Our waiter Jordan was friendly and attentive. Thank you Jordan! Our special dessert was over the top. Definitely will return.

We had a lovely time at this restaurant for a social gathering. The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We did get forgotten about at one point, but they immediately made it up to us with apologies and quick rebound service. We will be happy to return.

Disappointed with this trendy restaurant. Service was good but food was mediocre and definitely overpriced. My wife ordered the grilled ahi tuna. A few thin slices of tuna in a bowl with quinoa and some vegetables for $34.50. Definitely not worth the price.

We celebrated an anniversary and were very appreciative of the overall experience in a casual atmosphere. Really enjoyed the quality and flavors shared featured flatbread with smoked salmon followed by featured lamb and a carbonara with prawns and mushrooms, and a lovely shared ginger cake with ice cream. Locally sourced ingredients and imaginative sauces were great! Our server was very engaging, informative and helpful! We will be back!

Had a wonderful dinner here today with my wife. Food was amazing! The taste was not too overpowering so the amount of food they serve is enough to make you full. Price wise it s worth it! We are new here in Kamloops and all we can say this is the best restaurant so far that we ve been to. The server was friendly ( forgot her name) she was accommodating. This restaurant is really giving us like gordon ramsay s restaurant taste specially the pork belly. its amazing!!!

Wasnt feeling the drink menu and i was asked by Belle what i liked, which was gin and cucumber and she made thee mode delicious drink she knows what shes doing. Also curtesy to the chefs the brussels are tied with another restaurants favs. Hard to find where they taste that good! Thanks again ill be back.

A friend and I went in for appies a few nights ago we ordered 3: the orange ginger chicken, the cast iron baked brie and the prosciutto and brie flatbread. When I tell you I couldn t pick a favorite!! They were all INCREDIBLE!! Will absolutely go back for more.

I came for a lovely dinner with friends and enjoyed the atmosphere. Quite casual, but friendly servers and fast service. Great craft beer selection and excellent menu items. My only critique is the somewhat limited menu selection, especially if this is your regular dinner hang-out and pizza is not upper first choice.

Met colleagues for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I had the pork belly, which was delicious! Service was very good, staff is very knowledgable about the menu - which I truly appreciate because there are so many good options to choose from and I have questions! Atmosphere is buzzing and in a good way, a must try if youre in Kamloops.

We went for dinner before the theatre. Everything was delicious and the staff was really friendly. I liked that they had two mock tails that had more thought than many other places. We ll be back.

May 5th. Simple and wonderful. The underbelly: the pork having Moroccan spices danced on my tongue, it was crispy and succulent full of texture the plating was fun. The side s complimenting the dish, solid. The restaurant has a great cocktail list, solid little wine list and my server was attentive, fun and knowledgeable. Sitting at the bar i could overhear the kitchen, professional and a little playful. As 15+yr vet in the service industry, this was as solid an experience as anywhere.

My son and I go out for supper every week to different restaurants. Surprisingly yesterday at Underbelly we found 2 very uncommon things together: great food and an outstanding Waiter, who really knows what costumer service means. His name is Cory and he made us have a great experience. I wish there were more Corys in other restaurants as many of them have good food but not very good costumer service. Thanks Cory for your great service, you made our supper even better than what it already was.

Carbonara was acidic . It tasted like lemon juice was used? Definitely wouldn t call it carbonara. I do not recommend this dish.

Had an outstanding dinner here! HaileyS was our server and superlative bar tender. She made me two Empress Sours which were magical! And my friends had Orange Blossoms which were light and delicious! Started with the feature flatbread beet & goat cheese and the focaccia. So perfect! We had the cheesesteak and angry potatoes and the carbonara. Exactly what we had hoped for-flavourful and a perfect portion size. Will return if in Kamloops!

An amazing find! The Adult Lunchable was sublime. Seriously, a solid selection and delicious. The oysters though... just jaw dropping. Had I known how fast they went, I would have pre-ordered and hoarded them! Staff was great and a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Just go. Youll be so very pleased!

I enjoyed my meal, as did my friend. I had the braised short rib and potato croquette. It was excellent, and the prices were a bit better than what I would expect to pay in Vancouver.

Thank you to the lovely team who kept the kitchen open for us when turning up to the restaurant after we arrived late in to town. The service was amazing, with the staff warm and welcoming. Our meals came quick, were generous in portion size, and most importantly they were all delicious. Would recommend highly and would definitely come back. Thank you again for accommodating us so late in the night.

What a welcome surprise! I m visiting from Vancouver and We had a last minute party of ten family dinner. We were celebrating my sons 24th. He always wants to support local Vs franchise. No one had been to this restaurant and I made a reservation to give it a try. It was a resounding success and I think everyone will return. My steak salad was huge and delicious and perfect for me as I also love beef carpaccio. The Philly cheese steak had rave reviews and many enjoyed the pizza and carbonara. Thank you for making our night special! Cannot wait to come back and try the happy hour.

Fantastic! I ate the Sara s Tuna Salad and it tasted amazing! This for only 26 dollars, witch is cheap compared to the price for a salad in Europe. It had a lot of variety and was perfectly served. The tuna was slightly baked but raw (just like I love it) in the middle. Inside it was a little bit dark but the ambiance was also amazing. Good service too, I would recommend this to anyone who visits or lives in Kamloops

A particular shout-out goes to Sarah, who played a pivotal role in making our event unforgettable. She worked closely with us to organize and create a custom menu and drinks that perfectly matched our vision for the reception. We are doing a culinary tour of Southern BC for our honeymoon and stopped here last night after reading rave reviews. The reviews were not wrong. Probably our favourite meal yet in 10 days of eating everything everywhere. We will make Kamloops a pit stop just to eat here. Well done team, couldnt give any more praise.

We were surprised that there was only one pork dish on the dinner menu. We went for the sole item; the pork belly. Of course we appreciate that pork belly is not lean, however, our portions were almost entirely fat. Another person in our party had the burger and it was acceptable. Alas no fries here and other sides are pricey. Very poor value for our dollar.

Went here for my birthday. We waited a very long time for service and we re then apologized to for being forgotten about. The food was mostly good but a bit pricey. Drinks were $14 each and we weren t told a price until the bill came, so that wasn t a great surprise. I received a complimentary desert for my birthday, which was a nice touch. For a one time event it was fine, but due to the service, I will likely choose a different restaurant next time.

Pork belly was delicious with really great sides that complemented the meat. Carbonara was ok. Both dishes a bit on the salty side but the service was stellar.

Ill start out by saying that the food is excellent and I am a long time customer of both the Noble Pig and Underbelly when it was called Forno on Fifth. I also praise both these restaurants for their good quality local food and freshly made food. Since the Underbelly has opened I have visited twice, and was overall happy with the new menu, but found myself missing some plates from Forno, like the Meza platter and the cast iron focaccia which filled the entire cast iron pan it was served in; as opposed to the small pieces served in the same dish as a part of the Satay Hummus dish. The portion sizes are also just a little light and if your hungry you should order an appetizer with your meal. I am also happy to see a few more vegetarian dishes, especially since the Noble Pig has had fewer and fewer vegetarian options on their menu. Overall the service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is great quality and flavours are excellent. The Underbelly is definitely worth the price!

We stayed at the Delta Hotel passing through Kamloops last night and were lucky enough to find this little gem of a restaurant/bar around the corner. The food was fantastic, very tasty and felt lovingly prepared. The ambiance was great as was the service. We would highly recommend.

We have been meaning to try Underbelly by the Pig since it reopened. Our Sunday date was great! We started with an appetizer of Marinated Feta -YUM! I had oven baked chicken and the hubs had open faced cheesesteak with potato salad. The fresh ingredients and creative recipe are apparent. Our server Steph was amazing - organized, genuine, prompt. She made our visit very enjoyable. Our bartender came over to make sure my husband was enjoying his scotch, and to discuss their other scotch options and personal favorites. Cheers to the chef and kitchen staff for an excellent meal. We will be back!

Came here on a weekday for lunch. The food was fine, but overpriced for the quality. They were out of fries so I was offered other sides instead, then was up-charged $7 for the potatoes. This was likely just an off day for them as the other reviews have been good.

Had the Valentines Day 4 course meal and my lord, it was delicious!! I cannot recommend Underbelly enough, amazing ambiance, staff were friendly and lovely, and the food was to die for!

Not impressed. Our Server was not very present ie slipped the bill on our table without a word. I was asked which side I wanted with the burger? I asked what comes with it? But it turned out the potatoes were an extra $7 (server said she could go get the manager to delete the charge but I passed. Not wanting a scene) My partner had the lamb tagine which was very tangy and salty. My burger was very tasty which is why I gave 3 stars.

The food and drink was good, albeit pricey. Unfortunately we had a table next to the door, and therefore a constant draft of cold air. Hostesses and people waiting in the foyer were right next to us, so the bright lights, their conversations, the cool air (it was winter) made the whole experience unfavourable. Our server noticed all this, and we chatted about it, but there was no change offered. We would return to give it a second chance though. Just request a table away from the door!

Food wasnt too bad, service was slow...but the pincher was the price of drinks..Lime Margarita $11.50 and that was the cheapest drink..wont be going there again anytime soon

Last night I was finally able to make my way into Underbelly by the Pig. I must say, I was sceptical to try version 2.0 as I was a little confused by the over all concept of Forno on 5th. The Food- Very tasty. (I was dragging my finger through the sauce left on my plate) The service- (Jordan) Perfect, quirky, knowledgeable, and accommodating. To Start: Roasted Cast Iron Potatoes Whipped Feta Mains: Roasted Chicken Porchetta x 2 Lamb Tagine Drink: Empress Sour Privato Pinot Noir It took a pandemic, the various shut downs, the strange street fires, and some time to reflect but I think Team Summers got this one right. It was simply outstanding. Really great job team

Went out for a birthday dinner only 3 of us but they couldn t even bother to take our drink order. Walked out after waiting over 15min with not even a check in from anyone or even water, feeling super let down after reading positive reviews. What a disappointment.

Twice we were stuffed into the back room of this place. I really question why this part of the restaurant is used on a regular basis as it has none of the appeal of the front. Drinks are great and the food is fair. The menu is a challenge.

We were excited to try this new restaurant and were definitely not disappointed. My husband had the linguine and I had the tuna. Both were outstanding. I really enjoyed the flavor of the harissa sauce and the texture of the Israeli couscous which both paired beautiful with the perfectly seared tuna steak. It was one of the best meals Ive ever had. The service was also excellent. We will definitely be back!

Expensive and mediocre food. Cheessteak was 95% soggy focaccia bread topped with a few pieces of steak n peppers. Disappointed. My wife wanted the tuna or lamb burger but gone from the menu. She had the burger. Pizzas looked good

We ordered the crispy hoisin chicken (which came out not crispy and sadly undercooked), the pizza served to us was super bitter as the bottom was burned AF, the drinks were overly sour and almost undrinkable. This is easily my favourite place to eat out downtown Kamloops! The food is always fresh and healthy and the service is impeccable with knowledgeable staff. The ambiance is great for meetings and a girls night out. They are always switching up the menu seasonally to feature local and in season ingredients and I love that they support local farms & purveyors. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an overall amazing foodie / cocktail experience.

We booked a reservation for 25 ppl for our Christmas staff party and cannot sing Underbelly s praises enough. The booking process was ridiculously easy - Sara the manager was super accommodating and informative. They had the back room basically booked for us and the staff were all so friendly and engaging. We did the family style service, which was delicious as well as fun and interactive! It was 4 courses and 6 different dishes, and $45 per person. Very good value for quality! I would go back again and again. Im from out of town and a friend has been wanting to take me to Underbelly since it opened. Last night we finally made it in and the overall experience was good, however my experience was overshadowed by a cold plate. Normally I would raise issue with the server however there had already been a mishap earlier and I didnt want to kill the vibe at our table. My pork belly if warm would have been fantastic, but it was refrigerator cold(not just prepared and left while the other plates are prepared cold). The ambience is great with well spaced out tables and mood lighting. The cocktail menu has good variety and the two I had were well made(bald and beautiful, and fifth ave). Service was ok, two servers for the whole place wasnt enough, although our server was very friendly, professional, and had good knowledge of the menu.

Wonderful experience for their first night back open. Food was 10/10, staff was 10/10 and overall experience was also 10/10. Its going to be hard to get a table here once the word gets out.

Forno on 5th has made a strong comeback as the Underbelly! Fresh, tasty and innovative menu of local ingredients served with efficiency in a fun, stylish atmosphere. Vax check is legit.

I have yet to dine inside, but from what I could see when I picked up my food, the vibe and decor are both dialed in. We hosted a small retirement party in our home and had the Underbelly cater the food. Zero room for improvement; our dishes were ready on time, the presentation was amazing and taste was even better. Crowd please and the perfect touch to our special evening. Thanks again!

Amazing food and incredible staff. I went in with an allergy that is notoriously difficult to accommodate and the expectation that I d be eating iceberg lettuce and some form of mediocre protein, as per protocol at most restaurants (which I m used to and have no problem with!) BUT, our server took it upon herself to see that I did not eat a sad little salad as she so eloquently put it. Between her and the kitchen, they came up with a mouthwatering meal and experience that I won t soon forget! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone :) PS, for you foodies without allergies, my boyfriend had the carbonara and was thoroughly impressed

Sorry, no photos! Tried it for the first time tonight with a group of 8. Excellent service, beautiful restaurant, food was wonderful. I personally tried the pork belly and shrimp appetizer, steak dinner, couscous salad with tuna, and apple cake dessert. Also had some wine and the gin sour cocktail. Some notes: pork belly in appetizer was slightly overcooked so had a tough/dry texture; the shrimp, however, was done to perfection - plump and juicy and JUST pink. Tuna and couscous had wonderful Mediterranean flavours, but severely under-seasoned. Cocktails were too sweet, entire table had to order half sweet for our second rounds. Overall, would highly recommend this place in Kamloops and we intend to return to try more menu items!

My wife and i heard about forno and desided to try it last night . Walking in on a monday they left a lasting impression with there high end feel of there layout and decore. If you are a tall person you will want to grab a seat in a chair or a stool as benches are slightly higer than normal. The servers realy knew there menue and where very friendly . It only got better from there . The food was amazing . The food had full flavour showed up hot , well prepared in presentation and tasted amazing .

Returned last night after a non satisfactory experience the previous week. We had a fantastic dinner. We would like to thank Sara for all her attention to the details, Cory for the excellent service, the Chef and his team who prepared a delicious family style meal and specially Meaghan for reaching out. This place is bigger inside than it looks from the street! Food and service both very good here. There s also a cool bar inside. Only wish that Saturday steak n fries special was offered all week

Love this place! Very friendly staff and a nice selection of drinks and food. Highly recommend the mozzarella balls if youre looking for a snack!

my wife and I went to forno on 5th for a date night and got the three-course dinner it was more than enough food very reason for are all extremely delicious very much enjoyed their hummus and Im not one to enjoy hummus.
