The Yew Street Food Hall is Kamloops' newest culinary experience! With ten different food/drink vendors, our guests can enjoy a variety of artisanal and niche restaurant concepts in one fun and fresh location. Inspired by food halls around the world, Yew Street Food Hall brings together unique, locally-owned restaurants that add to the collection of fresh and local food right in the core of the North Shore community. Now Open!
What a fantastic spot to sample a variety of cuisines! Today, we tried Hue spicy soup and bahn mi with BBQ pork from Vietnam stall, followed by coffee and a muffin for dessert. There are numerous stalls, including Korean fried chicken, Burger Bar, Taco Valley, Pizza, and a brewery. An amazing place to hang out with incredible food! 🍜🥪☕🧁
Had lunch with my kids and it was nice 😊. Had a date with my wife and she really enjoyed the Greek ribs and fries 🍟👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
I had a great time checking out Yew Street Food Hall. There is so many amazing food options and the staff are so fast and friendly. The vibe in here is absolutely amazing, definitely can't wait to come back again.
this place can be overwhelming when you first walk in, it is noisy and beautiful with so many delicious options. Love bringing people new to the city to this spot to show off the north shore and all the amazing cuisines! Also with a gelato spot, a liquor bar, and a beer/cider bar. Really can't go wrong
A relatively new food hall experience in Kamloops. There are plenty of options for food and drink here, so you should be able to find something for everyone. Craft cocktails and beer. Pizza and Bao buns. Everything is pretty decent, so it really depends on your mood. Parking can be a little tough at times but nothing more than a short walk.
What a fabulous concept. Something for everyone and the duck duck pork dumplings were some of the best we’ve had in a long time!! GF corn dogs? Yes please. And the cocktail menu is next level. Don’t miss this on your next trip to Kamloops or if you live here…. Go immediately
Such a great place. We came after lunch and it was not very busy. Enjoyed good fries, Vietnamese sub which was one of the best I have eaten, and more. Will come back for more another day.
Decent food, nice seating and great atmosphere. The inside is decorated industrial style with open ceilings and wood tables. There are six or seven business fronts inside with a variety of food options from wildfire pizzas to tacos, vegan dishes to pulled pork sandwiches. There’s a “coffee bat” of sorts and even a liquor bar on one side. There seemed to me plenty of seating but the parking is the pits. This part of town also seemed to have a plethora or strung out/homeless folks ambling around.
Great place to stop at for something to eat and a nice variety of different cuisines.
Good
Absolutely fantastic. Great ambience phenomenal food. Very pleased. This place needs to stick around. Very nice little bar as well.
Great place to go and have lunch, has a bit of something for everyone. So if one person isnt feeling a burger another great vendor may hit the spot.
Nice place to have brunch or food at any time Had the Belgian waffle and bacon it was very good! Staff friendly too and helpful!
What an awesome idea! Theres a great selection of food, I would definitely recommend checking this spot out :)
Almost perfect but the food takes foreeeveeer
I ordered pakoras from the Indian street food stand and it took them 45 minutes to prepare my food. The staff acted like this was normal. I do not recommend. I found everything in the hall expensive, despite the low overhead of operating in a food court, and there were not many gluten-free options.
We walked here on a very hot day in Kamloops (42C); the area is a mix of residential and factory business, so it was a welcome respite from the unprecedented heat. This is a self serve establishment, with several counters offering about three types of cuisine, across two main stations. Burgers and pizza are offered and a huge gelato bar sits at the front entrance. Water is self serve at a large pitcher table, and seats are plentiful at tables seating four people. The gelato server was especially helpful and is a good ambassador for Kamloops.
Friendly atmosphere
This is the greatest concept ever. The best food, best beer, casual atmosphere. Its a must check out. Go there. I will go back again and again.
Well worth getting off the highway for. Choice is excellent something for everyone
A little bit of everything for good value. Big up for the Brews on Yew, the barman was really nice and helped us pick the best beer for our taste.
North Shores hidden Gem!! Vegetarian options: Spanakopita from The Greek Kouzina Express is Amazing!! Dietary restrictions: All vendors offer Vegetarian and Gluten-Free options Parking: Plenty of parking within 2 min walk of the Yew Street Food Hall!
Really neat spot to grab a bite, lots of options for all cravings and dietary needs
Actually I stopped for directions they were very helpful
Loud
Good food and great atmosphere!
Quality dishs, a bit on the pricey side! More vendors needed and parking is not great. Update, 2024-06. Food still good, prices even higher. Honestly there are better eats to be had at aberdeen mall, for less $
Cool place, I love going there
Really great local joint. We love the fun options!
A little pricey but sensible given the size of the portions. Awesome staff and a nice atmosphere
Great atmosphere, wonderful food selection, and friendly staff.
Had some tacos at the Taco Alley didnt really care for the flavor. the chips and salsa were ok though
Wonderful
The music is so loud! I see other reviews complaining about the music here but it seems they do not care. Im trying to eat my breakfast and the music is so loud I cant talk to my friends at the same table! Apparently they have a yoga fitness class (in a restaurant!?). Will not be coming back here. There is no reason to have a club this early in the morning. I feel sorry for the people who live upstairs.
A nice change of pace for casual meals, snacks, and fun activities.
Where to begin we arrived at yew street food hall it was about 3PM today the lady bartender wearing green tights and black top she didn t know how to make simple drinks , she wasn t charging her friends or these guys sitting at the bar for their beers and drinks , was drinking on the job, didn t charge us for our beer , laying on the counter eating off a customers plate , belching loudly , very unprofessional totally brought the environment down from the last time we were there will not be going back
The choices are convenient for a group. Great food.
Great atmosphere, good food!
Love the diverse choices for food Staff is friendly & helpful Went for the Rock Trivia on Wednesday nights Had a great time Inclusive and will be back
Shared a Pho for lunch and it was great!
Just love the spot and so glad to have it nearby. Vegetarian options: Decent vegetarian options at most vendors. Parking: Street parking is easily found on nearby streets unless there is an event. Wheelchair accessibility: Zero-grade entrance and lots of easy spots to eat. Unsure of bathrooms. (I am not in a wheelchair)
What a cool place! It s a food court, but with amazing restaurants restaurants! I think every town should have one of these. We had the pho soup and it was some of the best I ve ever had! Highly recommended.
I used to be a big fan of coming here and getting some food from Mitz and then a sweet on the way out but now I find the vast majority of it has gone down hill and has been for the last year. While the atmosphere is nice, but the food from Mitz (the only one there I like) is aweful. I got the 3 cheese grilled cheess and it tasted dreadful and was soggy along with having so little cheese that a slice of Kraft singles would have more. They used to have this delicious Italian restaurant in there with a delicious gnocchi and cheese pasta and a lasagna but they are gone now. Without them I simply do not see myself going there and would not advise other go there. ***The exception is the bakery. I absolutely love them. Always friendly and have amazing desserts as well as savory bits like their cheese croissant. Please do continue to support them as it is amazing what comes out of a little place like that!
Love Yew Street Food Hall! Such a great addition to the food scene in Kamloops. I can not recommend it enough!
Portions are tiny. Dont come here if your looking for a whole meal.
So excited to have this place in the neighbourhood! Many options to chose from and good beer on tap. The cocktails haven t excited me yet but they ve got room to grow! Suggestion: give each stall their own google page, as each place has such different food options and the quality may vary. Everything I have had has been good so far, with veggie bomb being my favourite!
We ate at Mittz and Co and Veggie Bomb and were happy with both! Good portions, good food, and a good atmosphere. We didn t have any drinks but the cocktails looked good too!! A lovely addition to the North Shore. Vegetarian options: Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Options
Sadly 2 stars from me. Concept is 5 stars but the food and location bring down the rating. The pizza place is disgusting. Stacked up pre made crusts topped with a horrible sauce and even worse toppings. Duck duck pork was edible. The bao was ok but nothing in compared to the bao food truck in town. Mittz was a big let down hoping for the quality of there downtown location but it doesnt come even close. The pork belly burnt ends were very dry and over sauced probably to try and make up for the lack of moisture in the PB. You could tell the meat was smoked and then frozen .. Location is horrible with parking nearly impossible. If you go after dark keep your head on swivel and your car doors locked with nothing if value in sight. The concept is 5 star. The execution was 1 star. Doubt this food court makes it to the 2 year mark.
Cool little spot. Lemongrass Pho was awesome as usual. The atmosphere was good, no complaints about the music. I prefer it to be louder, so I can t hear everyone else s conversations. Not much for parking though. Will be back!
Great place with diverse food, nice layout and great addition to Kamloops. Nice spot for a pub with the atmosphere is great
The first time I came here I was taken aback because I expected a standard restaurant. I left disappointed but came back another time and gave it another try and loved it. The pizza was fantastic and I liked the beer selection and the classy food court concept. I will be back.
Very cool and hip place. Parking in the back too! Fish tacos were really really good.
What a great environment! Feels very European. Lots of choices for food! We tried a little of everything, appies from all the vendors, everyone shared!! Vegetarian options, bakery in house - whaaat?!! Raptors Bball game on, a good-sized crowd enjoying everything...good times! 2nd visit - Sunday Brunch 11-3pm Busy! Walking by the bakery as a guy is taking out fresh Foccacia, to take to one of the vendors. *long inhale* mmmmm :( Mittz & Co is trouble. They forgot my order - printer didnt print it out? I waited 45 mins for a Bacon Bennie. It was good, was ready within 7mins, but I had to make a stink just to get it. Not impressed.
Great selections by multiple vendors. We chose Duck Duck Pork and were very pleased with the flavor, quality, and pricing. Looking forward to another visit.
Good variety of outlets to choose from but a little too expensive for what you actually get.
Govindas Veggie bomb had excellent delicious fresh and filling vegan food. I would highly recommend visitng them for an exciting yummy vegan experience!
Awesome place to have multiple types of food (Mexican, Italian, vegan, and alcohol under 1 roof. I went in the afternoon for lunch and found the overall all ambiance to be low and boring. Given the place, it could have been happening, but it was boring. The food was nice though.
Expensive 2 drinks cost 35 bucks!
Excellent food, beverages, and service from all the vendors. Plus its a clean, ooen indoor venue. Have been there multiple times already and plan on regularly returning.
Loved the selection of food and beverages. Fun atmosphere. Would definitely go back!
Always packed, loud enviroment and ive consistently been sick after eating at the resturants here. Gave it way too many chances as i thought i might have just been being picky or new staff but nope its happened too many times. For the overpriced very small portions very every resturants yo the fact its just a small over crowded place id atay far away from this. Sad i was excited to see this come up in the neighborhood but was a major let down
Great food and great service Enjoyed the premium cocktails Food
Awesome place to get a wide variety of food and drinks
Went for lunch, the hall was busy but yet felt empty and emotionless. I guess I expected huge community tables and them lined w folks , drink in hand, w the banter of a pub, having a Jolley time. The idea is great, the food and beer was excellent. But it just didnt give me that going out for lunch feel I get when going to other establishments. Ill be back for sure tho. Great concept for Norkam area.
Cafeteria style set up with high end food options!
The Veggie Bombs Nacho Bomb was spectacular! Ill be back for more choices next time. 5 Stars!!
Good food but the layout makes it difficult to navigate when its busy. Pricey but what isnt? Parking is horrid.
Ordered from Lemongrass. Lapska was awesome however we also ordered Vietnamese coffee and it took 35 minutes. Not impressed and when we got it, not like it normally is. Noise in the venue also very high. Not sure when I or if I will be back.
A little pricey. Very good food. Good ambiance. Very comfortable. Ive enjoyed my visits. I will go again
We decided tonight to now give up on the food hall entirely. We went to accept the free pizza wed been promised after a takeout order awhile back was made very poorly (missing various ingredients). The pizza was made wrong again! Luckily we stayed to eat it, so could get it fixed this time. While there, we decided to get cocktails. The tip options were 18% and 20%. I chose 18 because I couldnt in that moment figure out how to select a lower amount. The 2 drinks with tip came to $35. Just. no. Done.
Fabulous food, decent price service wasnt special but I will definitely go back!
Great concept and nice owners, probably one of the best places we ate and drank at in BC!
Not the best tomato soup and grilled cheese. I like the concept. Would be fun to have drinks with a group.
Kid-friendliness: No kids menu posted at any of the booths, so have to order from the regular menu. Options are limited and pricey for a child. Food
Great idea! This food hall is fantastic! We enjoyed our visit to the Yew Street Food Hall. We ended up selecting a couple things from the on site bakery as it was a bit early in the morning. This place filled up fast for lunch! So many selections we are absolutely certain that we will be back to try some more offerings!
Have been to all outlets, food has been good at all. Duck Duck Pork, and Lemongrass are our favorites. The garage style doors were open last week, defiantly offers a new and positive dimension to the food hall concept. Only drawback, adjacent parking is very limited. There is ample parking a short walk from the food hall. Parking: Parking is a definite issue. Some street parking limited.
Hard to find parking
Food is great. Alot of choices and the atmosphere is amazing.
love this place, what a great idea. a food court you can get drunk in. props to the bartender at drink on yew for taking care of me and my date.
What a fun and interesting concept to suit everyone in a group. Lots of delicious options to choose from, both food and drink including craft beer and cocktails. The eating hall is bright, airy, lively, modern, and clean. Fun place to hang out with friends.
Love the food at Mitzs kitchen.
Went there as part of a mystery bus tour in Kamloops! Super fun! Staff was lovely and the upscale food court concept was fun!
Choice of food and drink options is great. So nice to just go get what you want. Duck Duck Pork bao and fries were delicious. Coffee was great. Everyone in the group enjoyed their food from different vendors. Only thing for me was that it was difficult to hear. The acoustics seemed echoey & loud, given it wasnt that busy as we went later.
Excellent little place with a good selection of different foods! I had the aloha burger from the vegetarian place and it was awesome the bathrooms were clean. Tables were clean. This is a good little spot to eat and have drinks! I really enjoyed this place
Had apps from Mittz and some Bao from Duck Duck Pork
Everything is great except Mitz, the rest of the vendors are absolutely fantastic. I found Mitz often has missing ingredients and when I complained to the manager I received a very vague email response. I highly recommend every other vendor though. Duck duck porl and lemongrass are outta this world delicious!
Amazing selection of food, a little something for everyone.
Such a cool idea I highly recommend trying the hall out
Great food. Unique idea, kinda like a food court but with nicer food. Fun place to visit with friends as there are various options for food.
Fantastic food. Give it a try.
Good but a little pricey for what you get.
Friendly, courteous staff Clean facilities Everyone/customers were hailing food thumbs up We ll done one-and-all Food : 5/5 |
Love that I can bring a bunch of us to one place and eat whatever we want. Every dish we have ordered from the different vendors has been fresh and full of flavor.
weird place, in a good way. like a food court, but no. hains and really good selection. Vegetarian options: lots of choices. one place specifically veg
We tried the gelato place today and it did not disappoint on flavor but it is quite pricey, definitely a decadent treat. 2 scoops in a cup is $10 plus tax. VERY DELICIOUS
Worth a road trip stop. Tacos were OK, but a little disappointing Vietnamese looked great. Good concept.
Overpriced food and beers. Dont ask for 18% tip when i have to come to the counter to order my own beer
Great concept, Food quality exceptional, only downside was the flys Vegetarian options: No problems with finding options Dietary restrictions: Lots of options available Parking: Could be limited but we didn t have any issues and it was pretty full inside
Pretty vile looking poutines at mittz imo.
Yam yam yam!!!
Love this idea. It is basically a food court. Lots of different vendors. Great for groups of people. It wasnt jusy when we went and we got extra attention from the workers. Will come back again! Happy hour is awesome too! 5 bucks off pizza and 3 bucks off pints of beer!
This place is amazing I love it all, food, atmosphere, and variety.
Found this place looking for a vegan restaurant, 4 eateries, a craft beer & a cocktail bar. Reasonable prices, tasty food and decent portions.
My favourite place to go for food in town. I bring everyone here and make sure to take the time to look at the menus. Honestly cant recommend it enough. Make sure to try the Bao at Duck Duck Pork!
Awesome to have lunch with a friends
Paid 27$ for a burger and salad. Burger was so salty I couldnt stomach more than 2 bites. Told the server it was so salty I couldnt eat it, and the reply was ohhhh, and walked away.
We have been about 4 times food was phenomenal with the one exception of our burnt Pizza one, time the variety, friendly staff, and prices are amazing and the Gelato is to die for highly recommend for a quick drink, date night, or a evening with the kids it has something for everyone Vegetarian options: There are both vegetarian and vegan options in both food and dessert which is amazing to find Kid-friendliness: They are very friendly with kids and understanding
I ordered the Crispy chicken poutine and was very disappointed there was almost no cheese the chicken was not crispy and there was so much gravy it was like eating French fri soup! The music in the building was also so loud you could barely have a conversation with the people beside you! I would not come back here
Girls supper out..we all loved it!!
Upscale Cafeteria Style, several options
Interesting idea. Essentially a higher end food court with different food vendors.
Love the variety of food and vibes here
Great options, service & idea!! Ordered each item from different restaurants and all were excellent. Parking was a-bit challenging, though worth it in the end.
Being a self serve food court I will say the service available was good, my preference is the tuna poke bowl but theres LOTS of great food, and a bar, and another one for beer. The bakery....to DIE for croissants as only Paris could make, absolutely divine. Plz, treat yourself!
Soggy pizza and poutine full of pepper, and then they say, that s how it s made.
NOT RECOMMENDED!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE I didnt know poutine came with a soup? Like what is this?? For this price??? Im sooooo dissatisfied and disappointed with their overall service. Third time Ive come to try the poutine and its still: 1. Very soggy and tasteless - feels like Im eating cardboard with a lot of sauces. 2. Everything comes with a heavy dose of black pepper for no reason and makes the food taste incredibly bad because of the amount of pepper. 3. Its very oily - every pizza comes with 500 ml of oil dripping off the sides This is incredibly bad and I cannot recommend this to anyone ever!!!
Was really excited i could get the riossoto from here instead of across Town. I had it a year ago when i was in town, and it was amazing. Definitely a little different here from restaurant and not much flavor :(
This place looks good!
Food was gross service was bad I will not be back
Food was excellent, being so new some kinks to work out(staff is still learning, that kinda thing). Cocktail menu is large with a good variety. Server we had was very helpful. We had pizza from inferno, two items from Mitts, and corn dogs from duck. The corn dogs were surprisingly good. Ill be visiting again.
I ve travelled a lot throughout Canada, USA and Mexico and I can confidently say the food here is phenomenal. The service is great, the food is fantastic and the ambiance is amazing. The food hall gets busy at times and although the lack of staff in the Kamloops area is detrimental this establishment holds up to a high standard. All the vendors are fantastic from front of house to back of house. I will continue to recommend this establishment to all who are seeking a delicious meal accompanied by a fantastic vibe and surreal array of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. TRY IT, you ll be satisfied.
1st time was great, there was a waiter, 2nd time not so much, couldnt see the beer menu from the area of ordering, so I asked if they would come over and take my order from a visible location or had a paper menu I could use, 2x, was then told thats the way it is and basically sorry about my luck. Needless to say my buddies downed his beer and we went to Bright Eye
Wheelchair accessibility: good
Went for our a quick bite to eat around 4:45 pm, yesterday, Saturday. Picked Inferno pizza. While waiting for our 2 pizzas, I noticed a black garbage bag on the counter, in front of the pizza maker. After wondering why it was there, he finally pulled a round pizza dough from inside the said bag! Im sure they were using a brand new one. Still, it was not a good thing to see while waiting for our order. Also, the 2 pizza paddles they were using to place/insert & retrieve pizzas to/from the oven had NO permanent spot. It would be left standing beside the big paper towel holder above the handwashing sink touching the wall by the pizza maker(s). I think a hook or a floor holder(similar to a gym barbell bar) would be better. Pizza was ok & yellow pale ale was good. May come back to try the rest of the food stalls!
Pleasant change in lunch options on Kamloops North Shore. Still new but all the right ingredients - excellent NON CHAIN food options including fantastic sandwich from DUCK DUCK PORK! Reminds me of some of the Food Halls in Europe!
Food is good dont get me wrong. The concept though is confusing. We went up to order food from Mittz Kitchen and was told we arent aloud, go to your table and someone will take it for you. I asked who was told I dont know but someone will. After 20 min went back to Mittz Kitchen and the gentlemen their took my order no problem. Tried to order pizza again no one was their but the same gentlemen came over and said come over to Mittz I can take your inferno pizza order. Now dont take this out of context, the food, the environment is a refreshing update to the North Shore but just found it confusing and if your on a time crunch probably a little frustrating.
Awesome addition to the Northshore. Staff are genuinely trying their hardest to make this a success!
Disappointed with the loud music. Especially considering the age group were all over 60 the music was way too loud and not appropriate for the crowd.
The service in the food hall is great and the food is amazing as well. Craft cocktails to fit everyones taste, I recommend the raspberry painkiller. There s also a separate bar with craft beer, cider, and wine on tap. Great atmosphere all around!
Another great food spot in kamloops!!!
Great place to have some variety of great food options. We really enjoyed it. We will be back
We have been 3 times now, and have really enjoyed the meals. We are looking forward to the remaining stalls opening in the weeks ahead. It is a unique idea, an upscale food court with a great variety of foods and beverages. It isnt inexpensive, but neither is the quality of the food. It can be a bit loud, more geared to casual good food and sips than fine dining. Parking is the biggest challenge, but we have been able to find parking close by on each visit. Well worth the visit to check it out!
Extremely overpriced and a poor selection. Also have been told by locals in the neighborhood that employees of the Food Hall keep triggering the fire alarm quite often due to negligence. Not recommended.
Very fresh idea in a clean, beautiful building with quality furnishings. I love the Vegan stall and the original beer on tap. We visited on a sunny fall afternoon when the place was open to fresh air. Congrats to the creators and good luck with the concept.
Been twice now and everything I have had is awesome. Lots of negative reviews regarding prices.... not sure where these people eat but the prices are the same as most restaurants. Pizza was fantastic and loved the opened social concept.
We had the inferno pizza. It was great
If you havent been there yet, you need to try it!
Good idea as different food in a central area. So far the food is good and prices are fair. Will try different outlets next time.
Great atmosphere, fun place to go!
Overall: Cool concept that still has a few wrinkles to iron out. Looking forward to coming back in a few months. Food: We went with two friends and tried each restaurant. Veggie Bomb was fantastic. The other restaurants had good flavor but questionable quality (e.g., not thoroughly heated, dry in some spots but overly sauced in others). Drink: We each got two cocktails. One was excellent and the others tasted either watered down or lackluster. Im OK spending a premium on a drink but these ones arent worth it IMO. Id suggest to management to start with (and perfect) a small cocktail menu, and add to it as time goes on.
Delightfully unique menus and kitschy vibes. Definitely will return. Parking: I will say that parking could be better. Street parking only, which can be limited in availability. Food : 5/5 |
Food/Drinks: Ordered from Mittz, got The Burger without cheese, and I assumed it would have toppings like lettuce, tomato, etc instead I was given a dry over cooked burger with mayo and grilled onions. My bad cause I ordered it without really seeing what was on it, plus I removed the cheese. Though the meat was very dry. Next time I ordered the lobster mac and cheese which is a whopping 33$. But I figured it would be really good given the price and that its got lobster. Unfortunately I was given a disappointing dish again. A soupy mac and cheese on a plate that didnt really taste like much. It smelled like asiago and sadness. The lobster barely had flavor, it was soupy with chunks of cheese that seemed like they seperated from the sauce. For 33$ dollars youd expect to at least get a decent mac and cheese. But it was truly not good, boxed it up in hopes that I could salvage it at home. It was laughable that it was 30$ (picture included) The cocktails are pricey, but not bad. Wish they had some sweeter options. My partner enjoyed his beer so no complaints there. Ordered an elote corn dog ($8.50) from Duck Duck Pork, it was pretty good would definitely order from there again. Service: Service is great, I like that you dont have waiters and can just chill and not be bothered every few minutes. The front house staff that you order from are all amazing and very nice. Atmosphere: I love the fresh vibe of the food hall, I think its a great upgrade to the north shore so I will be back. I do think the music is a little loud, but its not the end of the world. Lastly I will say be prepared to spend a decent penny its not cheap, especially if you are drinking.
This is such an awesome place and atmosphere! Love the selections to pick from and great idea for groups who cant make up their mind on what to eat! Only thing i would add is maybe more garbage cans as trying to clean up after ourselves, we found it difficult to find! Overall a great addition to kamloops northshore! Thanks
Great casual atmosphere and many types of food and drink in one place.
Amazing vendors, food and vibe. Had a cocktail from Drinks on Yew and lunch from Veggie Bomb. Best poutine I ve ever had!!
Went for late lunch. Ample parking available. Helpful staff. Good food. Vegetarian options: Ample options. Parking: Street parking available.
Loooove this place, it is so awesome to see something experimental and fun in Kamloops. Ill be going here a lot more in the future! Love seeing new businesses make the North Shore a better place!
Overpriced and awful customer service. There was one friendly person working that day, the rest treated me like garbage. Not sure why, I dont normally experience this and Ive been to many spots in town.
I really want to like this place. The concept is great .their just not there yet. Head over and check them out!
Nice place look forward to trying it again.
LOVE this concept! So stoked to have more variety on the north shore. We tried the corndogs and pork bun at duck duck pork and they were phenomenal! Can t wait to try the other food stands!
Veggie Bomb - 5 stars, Mittz - 4. Everything I ve tried from the Veggie Bomb was great, especially the bowls. Mittz pizza was good, poutine though was just lol, they didn t even serve it on a plate, just on a tray.
The atmosphere of Yew street Food hall is exactly what Kamloops needed and the north shore!! The sense of community you get when walking in is amazing, and the food is bomb! Drink hit home and the staff are amazing !! Clean and a safe space we love to see it!!
Love this place and this concept! I have been to food halls in other cities and love everything about trying different foods from a variety of places. We had the Bomb Wings from Veggie Bomb which were fantastic, and were excited to try the XL Bomb nachos next time. Sampled from Mittz and Co and Duck Duck Pork as well, and it was so good. The drinks and atmosphere are excellent. An amazing addition to the Kamloops food scene.
Friendly workers. Big screen T V.s. lots of seating. Variety of different foods and drinks offered. Music was to loud for conversation. Parking was very limited. Food
Multiple food vendors, I chose Veggie Bomb which was excellent food, well presented, nice portion, great tasting.....while my family members chose Mitzs Kitchen. Sadly the food they got (breakfast bennies) was subpar- deep fried tater tots, avacado slices were hard, and the poached egg was very overdone, skimpy on the sauce. Disappointing and expensive. I would give Veggie Bomb a 4 star for food, and Mitzs a 2.
Awesome concept. Love the variety of vendors. Cool vibe and friendly atmosphere. Saw lots of delicious looking food being enjoyed. We had take out but seating was available. Note that parking is a bit limited in the area.
Been here a few times, the food is great, although one plate from Mitts wasnt as advertised. Duck Duck Pork was really good too. Lots of drinks and some craft beers to choose from. Prices are high, but that is expected. This aint Dennys. The atmosphere has been different on each visit. From quite to music playing. This food hall really needs to consider communal seating arrangements. Something I havent seen in Kamloops. Since moving to Kamloops, we miss those community venues that brought people together. Well definitely return and hope for a more vibrant scene.
Was scared to review this place so well for fear it will become to popular. Amazing food and portions. Excellent concept for dining. If this place gets too busy parking will be a problem.
Good experience.
The good: I had the steamed pork buns from Duck, Duck, Pork and the carbonara from the pasta place. Everything we got in my party tasted incredible, and the drinks from the cocktail bar were delicious as well. The bad: The venue was extremely loud and busy, with everyone getting up and moving around constantly. We could barely hear each other it was so loud. It would be a good place for drinks with a group of friends. The pasta place was very busy, and they forgot my friends order completely and it had to be quickly made after a complaint and a half hour of waiting. It was delicious though. Parking: Limited parking. Kid-friendliness: Very loud and adult oriented.
Disappointing Experience. I wanted to like this concept but found it frustrating and unsatisfactory. No food/ drink menus at the table or online force each party to awkwardly wander around to each booth to see the various offerings (while someone holds the table.) Although it was a Friday night, about half the booths were empty. We ultimately decided on Mittz and, while the food was tasty, the price to portion ratio was high and I felt the card machines prompt to tip either 18% or 20% was tacky given the lack of table service. I dont think Ill be back.
A must do !!
