Welcoming all to our Indian restaurant. We are happy to serve you authentic Indian food, (dosa, curries, indo- Chinese, tandoori.)
The madras special dosa was ok. Filter coffee was good. Sambar was good too.
We ordered Fish Curry and Yellow Dal with Rice to take away on Aug 13th 2024 and to our surprise we found we were served maybe chicken or some mutton Curry. We called and raised it and to our shock, they tried to convince us that it is a kind of South Indian type of Fish Curry. Worst is even the quality of that chicken or most probably mutton curry served to me labling it as Fish Curry is of the worst quality. It is a cheating of tourists and it is a terrible experience. I hope local regulatory authority checks such cheating practice that can spoil the reputation of Tourism in this place.
delicious and very native real Indian curry, the spicy food stimulate your tongue encouraging your appetite, their staff is very friendly and nice, my son cannot make up his mind and decide what to eat, but the staff waited very patience, and their dish is really worth your money, my family ordered 2butter chicken, 2 nongs and a lamb Dosa, spent 61$. We all so full but cannot stop chewing. The only down part, I would say is the room is not too big, not too many tables, it is a little bit dark inside, or maybe it is also part of its style.
Friendly and tentative service. Food is flavorful and cooked with love. One of the tastiest mango drinks. We had the masala goat and butter chicken with butter and garlic naan.
The first time when I went to Madras Masala as a new student here in Kamloops, I didn't have much expectation as I thought it would be like the usual Indian restaurant in a western country, but they proved it all wrong, and now it has become one of my favourite to go places in Kamloops whenever I miss India. The friendly and courteous staff who provides great services and will keenly listen to your food customisations, allergies, and levels of spiciness while taking the order. Above all, the main chefs there, who are also the people who own the restaurant, are very passionate about Indian food and cooking, and they do it with love and ensure to give a treat to our taste buds with their variety of dishes and spices that are authentic Indian style. Adding to it all, the ambience of the place is also very good, like the Indian song in the background, which makes you feel like you are in India. When it comes to food, each and every item that I have tried in Madras Masala and grill had never disappointed me and has proved to be worth every penny. I'm adding pictures from my last visit, when I had paneer kulcha, with it’s soft texture and ample amount of stuffing it is a must try. And don't forget to try their chefs special South Indian dishes (Briyani, Madurai style kothu parotta) which are served in adequate quantity as well. P.S thank me later for suggesting one of the best Indian restaurants in town.
My latest find, Madras Masala & Grill, has quickly become my new favorite place to eat since I am always looking for new and delicious foods. The first time I experienced how good their food was, I ordered their goat biryani. It is a dish that often shows how good a cook is at using spices and rice together, and Madras Masala & Grill does a great job with this one. The biryani was a wonderful mix of tastes that danced on the tongue from the first bite. There were no worries about skimping on the meat because the goat was soft, juicy, and served in large portions. Each grain of rice carried a different mix of spices. It was perfectly cooked and smelled like a meal out of this world. The experience was so enjoyable that it made me want to go to the restaurant by myself for dinner. There is something special about eating by yourself and focusing only on the flavors before you. Madras Masala & Grill was the right place to do just that. Once more, the meat was the main attraction.
Fast and friendly service! Food is fragrent and flavourful! This was our first visit and will definitely go back! Atmosphere needs help, paint was done messy all over the vooth seats and flies were annoying while trying to eat.
I've worked in Chennai for 3 years and this place really brought back all the good memories which I had from Chennai. Really good restaurant and really good staff. Loved the Tandoori Chicken the most and Filter coffee is another hit which they have. Dining in has 10% discount which is an added attraction when you pay the bill. 😆
Unbelievably good food
They have the Best dosa in British Columbia.
Stop for lunch on long trip Tried their special masala dosa love it Food
Called for pickup last night. When we went for pick up, they didn t recognize my order. So they took my order again. After waiting 30min they brought the food. The garlic naans were so soggy and uncooked. This is my second time they served bad food. Won t go again!!
So me and my girlfriend have eaten her multiple times and every time it s better than the last. Great staff, good atmosphere, delicious food. I recommend the lamb dosa Food
Ranga and Shona is great. They customize our order on request and service was awesome.

The best South indian food and Dosa... podi dosa my favorite
We stopped at Madras Grill and Dosa in Kamloops during our road trip to Vancouver, and it was by far the best dosa experience weve had in Canada! The flavors were incredible, and everything from the crispy dosas to the sambar and chutneys tasted so authentic and fresh. The highlight was definitely the Madras Special Masala Dosa it was packed with flavor, perfectly spiced, and left us wanting more. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. We left completely satisfied and cant wait to stop by again on our next trip. Highly recommend this gem to anyone craving delicious South Indian food!
Lovely food. Good portions. Very friendly staff!!
Love their dosa and manchurian
Love their dosa and Manchurian best in Kamloops
Absolutely insane, Some of the best food I ve had. Great atmosphere, food and dessert Food
Hands down the best Indian cuisine I ve ever had. I wish I had more room to eat one of every dish! From the naan, to the samosas, to the gulab jamun, everything was made with incredible care and taste. Wish I lived here so I could come back 100 times. A must visit here in Kamloops!
Always a great place to go for masala dosa, idli and vada.
Sudhan was very good server good customer service
Food was amazing. One of the best things of our trip. Authentic Tamil Chettinad style food. I wish they can come to Vancouver. Fried rice and chicken 65 biriyani were fantastic.
The best dosa I ve had in Canada till date. Sudhan gave us the best service and was really interactive he made our experience even better. If I ever visit Kamloops again this is going to be my to go place.

Yummy food with good quality service Kid-friendliness: Very kind to my kid Food : 5/5 |
Food was amazing. All the Dosas we tried were really tasty (better than what we get in Lower Mainland). We also tried Chinese (Noodles and Manchurian), it was amazing too.
Splendid food and great service. Have gone there many times.
This was a simple diner but the food was very tasty. We ordered idlies the first day. They were so good that we went there again on our way back from Banff. we again ordered idli and dosa( I think dosa sandwich] and Kesari bhat. All were delectable. The service was pleasant and the owner was accommodating. Thank you Madras Masala and good luck.
I always have food from here. The management is good, their service and the food is very tasty. The people over there are very friendly and welcoming. Even the price is affordable.
Just asked for One item(sambhar) was not given and it was slow as well. Not a proper behaviour by staff
best dosa in town! food is always fresh and delicious, staff are so friendly and its always busy. one of my regular spots!:)
The service was bad. The items ordered were not prepared as described in the menu and as instructed (dietary restriction were not taken into account) and they expected us to be okay with the incorrect order provided by them. Food
Some of the best South Indian food outside of my granny s kitchen. If you would like to sample authentic South Indian food - this is the place Vegetarian options: A vegetarian s delight!
Good food, can do better service
Food was good.we like onion masala dosa.idly was very hard and kulcha was not crispy.service was slow.
Best Indian food
Very good food and service.
Awesome food and what a great kind people. We come from Jasper and found the exact same thing what we were expecting from a restaurant. Keep up the great work hopefully see you soon.
I gave Madras a 5 star all around as the food was AMAZING! We love Indian food and it was my first time trying it here and delicious! Highly recommend checking it out - love that they also have dosas!
We experienced great dosas here. We are from the US and I can say that the south Indian food here is much better than many Indian restaurants in the US.
The best Indian restaurant in Kamloops specially for south indian food. Absolutely addicted to their idlies and dosas, mouthwatering!! Would nt mind spending 100s of dollars in Madras for food! Highly recommend!! Could improve a bit on service and atmosphere. Food
Excellent! The food, service and authentic. Can t go wrong.
Great food and nicely priced. Spicy level just on point! And delicious naan!
Ordered take-out for three from the beautiful people at Madras Masala & Grill and was thoroughly impressed and delighted with our meal. We enjoyed three curries: Chicken Chettinadu, the chefs suggestion, which was very nicely spiced and balanced, as well as Palak Paneer and Aloo Gobi, classic dishes that were both excellent. All three dishes included servings of basmati rice, and I added a double order of Butter Naan. All in all, our menu options proved to be more than enough for three, and the great price point is an added bonus. Ive enjoyed Indian cuisine in many different places across Canada, as well as abroad, and found Madras home-style authentic dishes to be absolutely delicious! I will surely return whenever Im in Kamloops. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options on the menu.
Such a great experience we had here over dinner last Saturday. The food was amazing, we had daal, roti and chicken 65 biryani. Brilliant. Really good service and people who run the restaurant. Definitely should open one in Calgary.
We ordered today fish curry for take out and when we opened for dinner there was a chicken curry instead of fish curry.we called them. They said its a fish curry and they didnt agree.
Good dosa , Vada, idly combo was good too.
I ordered samosa which was super hard and pawbhaji paw was not that worm Parking: You will have to pay for parking and parking timing you will have to take long because they take time to deliver food on table Food : 2/5 |
Super disappointed. Came here based on the ratings. Asked for hot got no spice. Then water never refilled. Had to get up to ask for the bill for my crappy meal. Sad.
Amazing food! As authentic as it gets
Food and service was really good.
The rasam here got me <3 The dosas are so filling and tasty!
Absolutely delicious food. Paneer kulcha is the best ever. We tried dosa and idly as well it was amazing and specially sambar which was delicious without being spicy. Owner is friendly and had a great experience overall. Highly recommend and will come back again.
What a special experience! Very friendly staff and the food was amazing. Very good value for your money. I ordered the Kadai Paneer - thinking it was going to be over spiced and drowning in butter... but this dish was perfect. Lots of Paneer pieces, delicate spices, chunks of tomatoes and peppers, with a beautiful flavoured sauce... with no grease. I recommend!!! My wife ordered the Paneer and spinach dosa and it was huge when it arrived. Normally you get a dosa that is filled in the middle and empty on the ends, but this was filled from end to end. This dosa couldn t be finished, so we got a takeout box to finish the next day. My wife enjoyed it and probably the only dosa you ll ever get, which has ingredients and flavour in every mouthful. I ve eaten in many restaurants over the last 25 years, but Kamloops has a hidden gem which should be on everyone s bucket list of places to eat. Restaurant has simple decor but exquisite food. Wish I had found it sooner!
This is my favorite Indian restaurant in Kamloops!! The food in this restaurant is very generous and the prices are very affordable. All the waiters were very friendly, I have dined here at least 10 times and have been very happy every time!!
Best food in town
Vegetarian options: Alot of vegetarian options Recommended dishes
Was just travelling through stopped in Kamloops to have some food , had amazing dosa here service is top notch food was just outstanding must visit never had this good dosa in van as well.
Nice one
I liked the authentic idly, vada, sambhar and Onion masala dosa. Highly recommended place. Food is very tasty. Would surely visit again.
Great food and great service. We tried paneer masala dosa, tandoori chicken and masala butter chicken. All were great. Most recommended if you want to try South Indian style desi food. Vegetarian options: They have many veg dishes
Excellent food and we enjoyed the pit stop for Indian food fix and dine in.
Seems to be genuine Indian food, as can be evidenced by the majority of customers are Indians. Parking is a challenge though. Dietary restrictions: There are non-dairy options, typically all the curry-based dishes are dairy free. Wheelchair accessibility: There is ramp at the entrance.
Amazing south Indian food (Tamil) in this small town. We ordered - Hyderabadi dosa - really light and good Veg kothu parotta - less oily and mildly flavored Vada - best vada Ive had in North America Coffee - proper madras filter coffee Definitely more than 4 stars, not quite 5 because its hard to beat my childhood memories of Saravana Bhavan in Chennai. If youre in Kamloops, great place to stop by for delicious south Indian food.
A Solo Diners Nightmare at Madras Masala and Grill I visited Madras Masala and Grill in Kamloops on Friday, July 5, 2024, around 8:30 PM. Upon arrival, the beautiful girl at the cash till asked about the number of people dining in. When I mentioned it was just me, she instructed me to wait for 5 minutes. Thirty-five minutes later, still no table. During my wait, I noticed a flurry of mobile orders being accepted. After 25 minutes, a party of six arrived and was seated promptly by another employee, who seemed unaware of my existence. He was preoccupied with attending calls and arranging deliveries. Despite available tables for four and six people, I was continually overlooked at Madras Masala and Grill. Finally, I politely explained my situation to the busy employee and left Madras Masala and Grill. Starving and frustrated, I headed to The Coconut - Finest South Indian Cuisine nearby, where I was seated within 2 minutes despite their busyness. The food there Badam milk, Veg Fried Rice, Cauliflower Manchurian, and Sambar Vada was absolutely delicious. I m actually glad Madras Masala and Grill gave me the opportunity to discover The Coconut - Finest South Indian Cuisine. If you re dining solo and enjoy being ignored, Madras Masala and Grill is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle and head straight to The Coconut - Finest South Indian Cuisine. PLEASE DO NOT SAY THAT SHE FORGOT ABOUT ME, OR DID NOT SEE ME WAITING !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for your service....
I d never recommend this place. Me & my friends were visiting Kamloops and we found this relatively affordable then other Indian place. But no it s not worth spending 200$ and getting the bland and unhygienic food. I have been to authentic South Indian restaurants and their Kottu paratha was disappointing. The dal had no tadka and was so bland, I think we could do a better job to make plain daal. Chicken 65 seemed like pakora. Wouldn t recommend mutton curry either. I m recommending for only these dishes, haven t tried dosa or idli. Plus the restaurant doesn t do a good job for cleanliness. I d never visit this place unless I read the next set of feedback.
The food was so yummy! Its the best warm South Indian food in Kamloops. It was so good, it made our hearts and stomachs happy. The owner even came over to talk to us. He was such a nice and humble person. You definitely have to go there!
I had a lunch today at madras masala & grill, its so nice which is expected. Nan was super soft and briyani too. Its touch my native flavour.
Very good food
We made a stop here while returning from Banff to the US. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the food. If you are seeking typical South Indian or Hyderabadi cuisine, this may not be the ideal place for you.
Very fresh and yummy south Indian food. Location was also very walkable from our hotel . Prices are very reasonable.
Great South Indian food
Had a fantastic meal at Madras Masala & Grill. We ordered two masala dosa s & they were delicious. The dosa s were crisp, just the way we liked them & the sambar & chutney s was very yummy as well. The owner Ranga Ram was very friendly and humble, he came to our table & spoke to us at length. We were visiting Kamloops for only a day but if we were here longer we would definitely come again.
My go to Indian restaurant in Kamloops! Best authentic Indian food in town! Everytime I go there the smells and taste immediately take me back to my moms kitchen. I have been there several times now and each time the food has been consistently delicious. For those of you who have not tried it I highly encourage you to do so.
A place with a lovely environment and some finger licking tasty food. Highly appreciate the hospitality from the staffs.
We went yesterdayvwith my family. Food was really good!!. Seevice and Price is reasonable. We all had a nice lunch
I consider it as a number one in authentic dosa dishes in town. Generous fillings in crepe and unlimited lentil soup along with coconut sauce. One of the go to place when I am craving for South Indian dishes. Especially in the freezing winter
We re from Toronto. Tried out food here for the first time after a recommendation from a friend. The food was excellent and we had a friendly customer service. Would recommend for anyone. Great work and keep up the good work!!
Vegetarian options: Try Their Andhra Dosa and you will feel how great it taste. i liked this Dosa Food
Service is too slow and food is not so good I ordered a chicken biryani and it was more like fried rice tasteless Food
Food was great actually but the restaurant itself is very poorly decorated and managed. The sanitation was questionable. Lets just say no one is wearing kitchen gloves and a lot of cross touching.
Vegetarian options: Paneer Masala Dosa Food
i am willing to give 0 star.. service is very slow and poor ..food is tasteless.. aalu kulcha doesn t have any potato stuff Food
Great food and great service. The staff were very friendly and awesome. Best Indian food in Kamloops
Food is yummy and spicy very nice tasty
After long time I visited in Madras masala . Along with my husband and my 5 months old baby Girl. We order Garlic naan with Madras chicken curry and butter paneer. Food was awesome . We would like to go there again. But just little advice they should provide a baby chair to the customer who have small babies. Thank you
Fantastic dosa!

Working in Kamloops for the next few wks and found this great place. Food is amazing and service is great, very friendly people. I had the Lamb Pasanda a few days ago and it was great, very tasty. I went back today again and had the Palak Paneer with butter Naan, also very good. Prices are decent. Will be going again at least 1 more time if not more.

Every single person is so humble and service-centric, enjoyed a lot of the authentic South Indian food by the finest chef and the service by the best staff...special thanks to the staff for the impeccable service.
Had a delightful dinner at an Indian restaurant in Kamloops today! The Lamb Vindaloo Dosa was a highlight, and my kids loved the idli and Rasam Papad. Kudos to Chef Ranga and Rahul for their amazing dishes. Special thanks to Mukesh for serving our meal with love. Came all the way from Revelstoke for work, and it was totally worth it! Kid-friendliness: My daughters loved the food and team is very supportive.
I recently had ,tandoori biriyani ,it was awesome
Amazing best food ever
Went there for supper, had good reviews and was close to my downtown hotel. Food was delicious, service was good and it quickly filled up after my arrival. Id go back.
Great place to have South Indian dosas
The worst food I have ever eaten. Please guys just skip it if you can ! Almost got food poisoned due to smelly and rotten chicken, and ordered Masada dosa, trust me that is the worst dosa ever ! Chutney with a lot of water and guess what, they charged that extra ! Never ever visit this place, not even for fun! Because vomit and diarrhea are not that fun !
Excellent Food, the best of South Indian food in Kamloops.
Tasty South Indian authentic food and affordable as a family, friendly atmosphere and located at the center of the city Kamloops
Love the food here. Every time we visit Kamloops this place is our go-to restaurant.
Best south Indian restaurant in town
Everything was perfect
Best place to try indian food in kamloops, Im filipino but love indian food since my husband is indian and Madras Grill is the only place we loved to go, must try butter chicken with garlic Naan and deep mendu vada in sambhar.
South Indian food is the food I grew up with. Have visited many restaurants growing up in Ontario that were amazing and had some delicious home cooked meals. Ive tried various restaurants in Vancouver BC trying to find something that would compare and there are some good ones. I was out in Kamloops for work and was hungry. I googled a few restaurants and the others were closed so I came here (my thought was: good Indian food in Kamloops? Nah not possible). Boy was I mistaken. I ordered the idly, chicken Biryani and mango lassi. My standard three dishes to try at a new Indian spot. The idly was amazing (but thats hard to mess up). The coconut sambals were so good. The Biryani was perfect (and yes, there was an egg in it). The atmosphere is classic. If you are looking for bougie then probably not the spot. If you want to eat at a place that would be right at home in India or Sri Lanka then: Easily the best South Indian restaurant in British Columbia. Dont change a damn thing. I advise anyone passing through to make this detour. So so so good . Vegetarian options: Its south Indian so yes. Pretty much the entire menu. Kid-friendliness: No one will be upset if you bring your kid here. There are kid geared dishes but just get the Rugrats some idly and a plain dosa.
Every time I crave a dosa and some other South Indian delicacies, this is my go to place. Owner, chef is the most humble person . Food is always fresh and tastes great. Whole staff Is courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for Indian food
Tasty and awesome food , chef and staff are also very respectful and polite .
Great food.
Enjoyed the food
BEST FOOD IN TOWN! Trust me when I say that I have tried almost all India restaurants in Kamloops. But i find myself coming back to madras masala. The food tastes amazing. My personal favourite curries are palak paneer, daal makhni and malai kofta. Layered parotta is a must try Staff is always welcoming and sweet. This is my favourite place. Everyone should go and try the food here. The dosa here is 100/10. I dont know what Rajaji anna puts in sambhar but i cant get enough of it. THE BEST dosa sambhar I have ever had. The quality, taste and quantity is just perfect. My week feels incomplete without having dosa from MMG. Also dosa chef is quite cute and friendly .
All the south Indian dishes are delicious and good serve quantity. Service is timely and great.
The Food was amazing, had a great time with friends. Would recommend the Masala Dosa with the Red chutney, it s amazing
Some of the best Indian food Ive ever had and insanely reasonably priced
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian food is amazing. The original taste of inidan spices. Properly cooked and multiple options of Indian cusines. Kid-friendliness: Nice warm environment for kids and family.
This is our go to place for Indian Cuisine in Kamloops and it never disappoints! Every dish I ve ever tried was delectable! Will definitely be ordering from there again!
This place is completely understaffed and very slow with their cooking. I ordered an order for pick up and they told me to wait for 10 minutes. I previously knew they would take longer than that, so I came back after 20 minutes. They told me again to wait 5 more minutes and no surprise they took another more 15 minutes, waiting a total of 15 minutes when actually it was 40 minutes.
Best south indian with authentic taste, around kamploops, kelowna, vernon area
Food is soo tasty and chef is friendly and check the quality of every table.
Wonderful service! Great food! Ranga was a great host!
