ATLAS Steak + Fish in Kamloops

Very very nice experience. Ambience was improved by the presence of the love pianist. Food was fantastic, service was a pro show.

Jessica K was our amazing server, super attentive and friendly. Our food was so delicious. Highly recommend Parking: Lots of available parking.

Usually always good at atlas, got a few options the chicken I wouldn t recommend to anyone. Not sure if it was a 1 off but it was 2 small cut offs of a chicken breast I mentioned it to the server and she said that s how it comes now it was like the size of 2 chicken wings. Steak was amazing and service was great but would not recommend ordering the chicken skip that and the risotto extremely small portions now.

Wish I had taken photos of our meal but we started eating and forgot. I would say there are very few places that we have gone out with our family and all of us really enjoyed our food. We went out for my brothers birthday and he got a well done steak, gross...but the flavor was delicious. I tried it and it was seasoned perfectly. He really enjoyed it. My mom loved her Cajun chicken. My daughter got a chicken salad and enjoyed it. My dad got the beef dip, which he liked but later said it was a little salty. I got the fish and chips and I am very picky. I find if I get good fish, the tartar sauce is gross or vice versa. I liked the tartar sauce and the fish was delicious. Outside was crispy and the fish was tender, the batter had good flavor. I was very impressed. There was a blimp with my fish as they didnt have enough fish defrosted, so they gave me one piece and brought out the second a little bit later. In the end the second piece was undercooked and cold, so they discounted my bill. I know things happen so I dont hold that against them. Everyone was happy, the server was amazing and she was attentive. We all agree that we will happily be back when we are in town. Parking: It is in a casino so there is lots of parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible.

Ordered the tomahawk and it was served perfectly charred and medium rare throughout

Popped in craving a steak and was seriously surprised for Kamloops (no offense!!). Service was great. Steak and sides were delicious. Great wine selection. Ceasar was a little boring. Nice personal touch with the steak knives

We attended on a very busy night. Unfortunately, staff were not prepared for the preplanned events. The server was slow to take the drink order and then food orders. Ceasar was requested non-spcy and received spicy, but the server didnt check on us, so we didnt end up having it fixed or replaced. Meals took over 30 minutes to be served. The first one came out more than 10 minutes from the rest of the table. All in all, it was a difficult experience. Dietary restrictions: They do not offer vegetable sides. This makes it difficult to find replacements for gluten-free or potato free meals. I ended up with a steak with onions and mushrooms. Gluten-free or potato free may wish to find a more accommodating restaurant.

Excellent fine dining experience, the food was delicious, service was impeccable, drink menu is extensive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner. The Caesar salad prepared tableside was a wonderful experience, our server did a fantastic job showing off the ingredients as he prepared them. The steak I had was cooked perfectly, the accompanying sides complimented the steak without overshadowing the flavor. Nice to be able to get Certified Alberta Beef at Atlas too. Highly recommended if youre looking for a high end dining experience that wont disappoint or leave you hungry after. Cant wait to come back.

Meh, for the price it wasnt great. Steak was cooked properly but had no taste as it wasnt seasoned. The truffle fries were expensive and lacked flavor as well. Service was good but I definitely would have been better off going to the adjacent pub.

Went for an evening out and this place did not deliver as other Atlas restaurants have. The bathrooms were too dirty to use and the knives offered had finger prints. To me most importantly the food was below sub par for flavor vs price. It also looked to me like a limited menu. No seafood tower and very limited wine/bar list. Our server was fantastic!!!

Phenomenal food , the first time I ve had a steak that s actually as good as my husband s, the salmon was juicy and cooked to perfection! The charcuterie was a LOT of food with top notch ingredients- the server was excellent- friendly and efficient! I was hesitant to go but very glad my husband insisted!! Definitely going back!

April 24 / This is a very nice restaurant. Started with the Spanish calamari. It was overcooked and had a petroleum taste to it. Main course was a USDA New York Striploin. It was a decent but flavorless steak with a few measly potatoes tucked under it. Tasty but not worth the value. Felt like our server Sabrina didnt like us. Friendliness 2 star. The other staff I spoke to was very nice. The atmosphere doesnt make up for the overpriced menu items. The menu was waaay overvalued. Not worth it.

My wife and I had a nice dinner, the appetizers and entries were excellent, delicious well cooked tenderloin. I have to say both desserts were not very refined, the cheesecake didnt taste homemade and the garnish/sauce for it was also not ideal. Atlas is a great location for a night out or special occasion!

This would have been a five star review accept for the fact that I called two weeks in advance to reserve a private booth. I was told that they would try, but couldn t promise anything ( kind of defeats the point of making a reservation). When we got there we saw that most of the seating in the restaurant are booths, but they had two booths that looked quite exclusive. However we were sat at a booth that was directly across from another couple, completely negating the request for privacy. Other than that the food was very good. The waitress was great, she saved us from ordering items that weren t worth the price and showed us the most cost efficient items. And buy the end I spent much less on dinner than I was expecting to. So if it wasn t for the fact that we were given basic seating after calling two weeks in advance to reserve something better than basic, I would have given them a full five stars, otherwise everything else was great.

This is one of the most horrible experience in a steakhouse in my life. The service is horrible. The food was ok No one knew anything about wine, and the hostess was cleaning the countertops with chemical spray that sprayed all over our food all over the kitchen, utensils, and kitchen, preparation, countertops, and the staff noticed this, but no one did nothing. I notified the manager, and he said will take care of it, but never did, and the staff kept preparing the food. For the kitchen staff to notice this and still keep preparing food for other people this establishment should be shut down. That experience that night, with my clients was extremely horrifying. Cautious at eating at this restaurant! Management didn t even offer us to pay for dinner and they looked at us like we were horrible customers. Just wow!

Everything was amazing. The fish we ordered turned out to be not presentable to the restaurants standards (still very well cooked), so they gave us another one for free without us even asking. Definitely 5 star experience.

Great place for an upscale happy hour or dimner and excellent service. If ordering the caesar salad make sure the server makes it right at your table. We misunderstand and it was plated. A little disappointed but still great. Food : 5/5

Nice restaurant but very expensive. The portion of the food you get is very small compared to the price you pay. The salmon steak was delicious. Budget $30 per person per meal on average if you plan on going to this restaurant.

We went last night and I was disappointed. I ordered Creole Ling Cod. It was dry and tasteless. The prawns were over-cooked. I was very disappointed. The only good thing was the sauce but it was so over powering with chorizo. The amuse bouche was nice, the salad was good, and dessert was good. Unfortunately, the main course was a huge disappointment I should have sent it back. A friend had the risotto and said it was not good. My husband lived his steak. His soup was really good. I ve had good meals before but last night was sub par.

Im fairly new to Kamloops from the Vancouver area and have been a bit disappointed with the restaurants options in Kamloops. Until Atlas Steak and Fish step up with awesome service from Shalayna. The best espresso martini, ribeye steak and biscoti weve had. Food was fresh, tasty, a culinary delight. We will be back!

Nice and fancy for Kamloops. Service was good and professional. When compared to the Langley or Burnaby Atlas, the water experience here was better but clearing used dishes was inferior. Might have been specific to a our server. Always enjoyable overall when we go to Atlas Steakhouse. Always recommend the Tomahawk steak!!

Visited last week for my anniversary with my wife and was so impressed by the service and food. Our server Nolan was fantastic and very attentive. The manager was very active checking in on us and bought our dessert for our special occasion. This place does all the small details great and we will for sure be back!

Really disappointed. The service is provided by students who I am sure have never had a course in hospitality. For the food, the oysters are tiny and the creme brulee is in a small glass vase and there isnt much creme that gets burnt! We came through kamloops on our way home to Vancouver island last night and decided to try Atlas as the menu looked so good! They fit us in very fast with no reservation on a Saturday evening. Our server Vanessa was an absolute pleasure to chat with and she did an absolutely amazing job of making our dining experience top notch! The food was absolutely delicious and we ended up bringing half of it back to our hotel because it was so much food! We wanted desert but were to full! We will be back and I will be telling everyone I know to try this place out! I HIGHLY recommend the gargonzola Mac and cheese too. So good ! My ny strip steak was cooked perfectly and my hubbys chili rub steak was awesome and done perfect too. The roasted vegis and brie mashed potatoes were really delicious too. Also the cosmos and caesars were done great! And it didnt even cost that much! Keep rocking it guys! You just made 2 new very satisfied customers! I also have to add that the decor was so cool! The pianist was amazing too! Cheers!

Beautiful birthday dinner for my son. Attentive staff and the smoking drinks were spectacular What I did not appreciate was the automatic 18% tip the waitress added to my bill. I prefer to tip with cash and do not like the tip on my credit card

Went for dinner May 6th, 2023. Through no fault of the servicer, our service was very slow, they had a server call in sick, and I understand that. My issue was that my med rare steak was blue rare, my dinning partners was med rare, and we both ordered med rare. Also the jumbo shrimp ordered came raw in the center. I would have sent both back, but our server was so busy, that we did not see her for 45 min after she brought us our dinner. For the price I was expecting better. The piano player was great, and the atmosphere was great as well. I always like to give places two chances incase they are having a bad night, and I will try again, but in no time soon.

Quality and quantity was very poor for the price. Steak was ok, remainder was sad. Made server aware. Doubt if I would return.

The atmosphere is great, its a wonderful place for a date or a relaxing time. Unfortunately portions are small. Fine dining is small and expensive, but I can be a great place for wine and a charcuterie. Service started great and then it stopped with missing cutlery, not even asking us for dessert orders and bringing the bill before we were done.

Food was great but sadly the service did not line up. Not sure why it s asked if there s a special occasion when making a reservation as nothing was mentioned during our visit. As nothing was mentioned my partner snuck around to the bar to try and secretly order some dessert but he said he stood at the bar for 5 or so minutes while the staff chatted amongst themselves and not 1 person acknowledged him. It wasn t busy at the time we went but our waitress seemed distracted, but we noticed she was a lot more upbeat and catering to the group beside us.

I wanted to give a five-star rating and probably most people do. Its a fine restaurant with expensive food but unfortunately my steak was quite overcooked and other people had similar comments this time. I dont want to bring the rating down because I suspect its a fine restaurant and most people are probably quite satisfied. I love steak and I was looking forward to a steak worthy of the $60 price tag. I didnt get that. I get better steak at the Keg. It might have been an off night, and they did offer to redo my steak but I eat slowly and I didnt want to wait another 15 minutes while the rest of our table to finished their meals.

Would never have any type of seafood again. $25.00 for one tiny crab cake which was bit burnt and oysters were nothing but mush covered in to much spice which you couldnt even taste the oysters. Small portions and way over priced. Steak and Lamb was delicious but sides were nothing but mush. Would not recommend seafood to anyone who grew up eating real seafood cause definitely not worth it.

Best steak restaurant in Kamloops. Only downside is the Casino.

22 dollars for a glass of wine. Good bye.... Ill never return

The best steak I have had in my life. Ordered the chili rubbed steak with a side of Bernaise. I ate one half and the other half for breakfast. The others in our party had the lamb and the Tomahawk pork chop. I sampled both, absolutely delicious.

We recently had dinner at ATLAS and have always had great food and service in the past and as per usual the service was great! On this occasion the meal was horrible. The starters were good. My wife and I had the charcuterie board and I ordered myself the Oyster Rockefeller. Drinks are always good. Wifes choice is the ceaser and I usually stick with the Smoking Old Fashion. The problem on this evening was the seafood tower. It was terrible. So much so that after paying the bill and leaving the tip (which approached 300.00) I called back later that night. The assistant manager was very pleasant and took my name and number and said the manger would get in touch with my to make things right. The tower had a tiny portion of lobster, two crab legs and undercooked softshell crab that was like chewing on rubber. We never heard back from the manager that was supposed to call which is unfortunate. Kamloops is starting to get some nice dining establishments and although their steaks are excellent I would stay away from the seafood. Sincerely Robert Howell

Far better steakhouses in town. Don t waste your time or money here. Dry, shabby cuts. All the sides are smothered in parmesan.

Oh my gosh, Atlas was incredible. The steak tartare was buttery and delicious and the teeny little quail egg was super cute - loved the aesthetic. You get to choose your steak knife from a fancy box. I was so excited about this and chose a beauty mother of pearl heavy as heck knife. It felt fancy. The steak was delicious. The lobster Thermidor was WOW WOW WOW. I was too full for dessert - but next time Im going for the creme brulee.

I booked the 5 course meal for my boyfriend s birthday. It was $145. His meals were overall great, they had turned traditional dishes into something interesting and unique- except the dessert felt a bit tough and flavourless. It was a rendition of a French toast, felt over processed. I got the truffle risotto (photo) it was flavourless and the texture was really odd too. The server agreed that the dish is originally bland which is odd because why have something on the menu that s flavourless. I sent it back and they still billed us for it. I ve only ever sent back food twice before at restaurants and it s always been taken off the bill. Regardless, overall it was good

We took our mom to dinner for her 100th birthday at Atlas last night. It was excellent right from start to finish. When we went to make reservations we asked for a table for 10 that was in the quietest area of the restaurant and they booked us into the vip room which was perfect. We all had steak and then split some appetizers. All the food was excellent except my sister s which was gristly. When she told them about it they gave her a full credit which she really appreciated. I had the tenderloin which was very tender and cooked to perfection. Everyone else said the same thing about their steaks. Desserts were delicious as well. I want to also mention that our waitress was Shona and she was excellent. Answered all our questions and gave recommendations. She was very nice, and her service was terrific. We never had to ask for anything, she kept everything moving well. All in all an excellent experience.

Excellent Lamb. The service was really good too. The servers let you choose your knife, and are very attentive. The creme brulee is soooo good. Ive been back several times, and its hands down my favourite restaurant in Kamloops! Cant recommend enough, and will definitely keep coming back!

Very good food and service

Service was attentive, friendly and fast, and the food was excellent. We were seated quickly and covid protocols were in place and observed. The food looked beautiful and was cooked perfectly. I ordered gluten free options for celiac and many menu items can be made for celiac individuals. We made reservations 3 days ahead due to full bookings.

I am sure I could of made it better at home. The service was bad and slow. The first beer I got was warm and I had to ask for my second beer, my steak was cold and over cooked, the lobster was cold and over cooked my Potatoes were burnt I asked for salt and pepper and only got the pepper and they totally missed bringing us the bread. Over all very disappointing.

We came to visit Kamloops from Vancouver,We tried Atlas because we enjoyed Yeah location and Burnaby, initially Unsure that the quality would be the same, But we enjoyed the experience very much. When we arrived with our a reservation, there were not tables available but they set a place up at te bar fir us. This restaurant impressed me for the food quality , the ambiance, live piano music ! The charming bartender, Vito , and everyone we came in contact with .

So so good!! Took my boyfriend and his family there for his birthday and Im so glad we did. The decor and atmosphere in there was great, the layout of all the seating and boys makes it feel really personal which is nice. We ordered the steaks and they were cooked exactly how we asked. Side dishes were also deliscious. I was driving so just had a mocktail but even that was tasty! Will be going back again!

Wonderful food and great service

Ill never get my 13 year old daughters birthday back. Ive been to the Atlas in Langley which was one of my best dining experiences ever so decided upon this one in Kamloops. All our $42 sirloin steaks were overcooked my medium rare was medium well, my sisters medium was well done. Two of them we sent back to the kitchen, when they finally arrived the rest of our four sides were cold. The server didnt take our food order for a good 45 minutes, left the menus on the table for that whole time. Didnt clear plates. He was apologetic about the steak, I mean you go to a steak house to get a great steak and they arent cheap here. The manager didnt even come over or take even a drink off the bill and they did nothing for my daughters 13th birthday. Im sad and disappointed and took the time to write this review - if you have a special moment dont go here. I miss the Keg in Kamloops for amazing service and a damn good steak. To make matters worse a friend gave us a $100 prepaid gift visa to go towards the dinner for the $300+ bill and it didnt even work. I would have been less annoyed had the gift card worked rather than spending my own cash on a truly disappointing dinner was the last straw. Horrible.

Its okay not the best place for high end prices. But the desserts and the startes are amazing. I would highly recommend the dessert menu and also to work off some of the food you can also go gamble as well. Overall the restaurant could do better cooking the stakes, you would think they would know how. But the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Very rare you get friendly staff nowadays.

My grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary today at Atlas. When I learned this was the spot they picked for this momentous occasion I asked to pay the bill and they obliged while keeping the secret until the end. The team at Atlas took great care of my beloved grandparents and I am so thankful! Great job Atlas!!

I had a great time at the Atlas steak and fish House. Taking your own knife is a nice little treat. The tomahawk pork chop was delicious. The seafood platter was different but enjoyable. The steak was absolutely amazing. Couldnt complain about the drinks either. Definitely come for a nice meal.

My meal was good but my husbands chickens wasnt cooked fully. My husbands a head chef in our industry for 40 plus years so it was quit insulting when young people who have only been in the business for a hot minute proceed to try and convince us the chicken was ok!? Then to think buy giving us a dessert is going to fix the problem. It wasnt about getting anything free it was about making sure people from under cooked foods. The server was nice but forgot to order my moms lobster with her steak, & our friend had to ask twice for a finger bowl as her hands were buttery from her seafood. Im in the industry so I feel its fair to always give a place a 2nd chance, so lets hope its better next time. Thanks

Amazing, fresh, innovative cuisine at Atlas. We went there last night for my bday dinner and it was absolutely divine. Great atmosphere, service, live piano and wonderful wine and food. A bit pricy but well worth it for a special occasion.

Might be the rest restaurant in kamloops, great food and service... Definitively a 9.9/10 That small 0.1 was a weird high pitch noise that I kept hearing all the time, I think it was from the steam machine, it was very annoying so please try to fix that sound, it ended giving me a small headache.

Great service and delicious food! I especially love the piano entertainment

Went to Atlas for a celebration and was very impressed by the flair and food. The staff were attentive and accommodating. The food was amazing! I wish I had two stomachs.

Dont let the fact this restaurant is in a casino put you off. The food was extremely good and the service was super friendly yet professional. I will come back here the next time Im in Kamloops FOR SURE. Try the Oysters Rockefeller and the carpaccio. Really exceptional. Lovely, elegant ambience. A very pleasant surprise. Jeevan the bartender is wonderful. Parking: Free.

If I had to rate the food separately I would give it 5 stars. My husband made a reservation through your website and under special occasion he said it was our anniversary. We asked for a booth when we got there but the hostess said other people request those. What other people is she talking about? Regular customers? There was a booth that sat empty the whole time we were there. Then two couples got sat right beside us & they were so loud we couldn t hear ourselves. there was never any mention of our anniversary so why ask on your website reservation? The service was mediocre we waited 10 minutes for a glass of wine. Not like it was a mixed drink. The food on the other hand was excellent Steaks done to perfection.

Fantastic service from start to finish! I would definitely recommend a reservation, if possible, since we saw a couple get turned away due to a full night of reservations and staffing issues. Our food was delicious - we started with the happy hour menu and had 6 oysters on the half shell, plus I enjoyed a lobster shrimp mini roll while my husband had the prime rib bun. The Imperial Pear drink is one of our favourites so we always get one while we are there. For our mains, my husband had a 10oz NY Striploin (a perfect medium-rare) with Josper roasted potatoes and an order of vegetables on the side. I chose the seasonal pan seared halibut with risotto primavera. Both were excellent. We split a baked Alaska and I had a specialty coffee for dessert. It was a great birthday dinner! Can t wait for another excuse to go back.

Poor and slow service, food is mediocre for what s supposed to be one of the better restaurants in town.. save your money

The food was great but watch where hostess seats you. We almost froze til we asked to be moved. No fun eating a very expensive but good meal thats cold before you get it eaten

The service was pretty good. Very friendly. The prawn cocktail was very nice. The main meals were good, except my steak which I asked for a little more than medium and it was VERY rare. The sides were the disappoint of the meal. We paid extra for the sides, which we don t mind but The whipped Brie potatoes just tasted like instant potatoes. I don t think they put Brie in them. They were dry and bland. The asparagus tasted nice but were cold. The mushrooms were good and the roasted vegetables were ok. There is a feature at the front entrance with steam but it had a high pitch squeal that was very annoying. We just wanted eat fast and get out of there. We have eaten at the Langley location and it was outstanding. So we thought we would go to the Kamloops location for a birthday celebration. I don t think I will be going back to the Kamloops location. All in all it was $600 for 5 of us which we wouldn t mind if the food was outstanding, but we have had better for less.

Amazing food & wine, great ambiance, wonderful live music, & fantastic service. This is a wonderful place for a high-end meal in town.

It was nice, great service for sure. Seems a little expensive. Steaks were a la Carte starting around $40-$125. Steak + side + drink could easily be well over $100. It was nice though. The Lamb I had was delicious

Disappointing.....this was our first time there and we will not return. We got a mixed platter of seafood for $96 and it tasted old and freezer burnt. There was soft shell fish that was so thick of beer batter and no fish. We also ordered the tomahawk pork and it was so salty, it was hard to swallow. The server just said oh sorry you didnt like it and then said should I bag your wine? So basically I felt they wanted us out. We also had another dish which was a tomahawk pork and it was so salty, we could not eat it. Disappointing as we still paid 250....will not return. Terrible food and customer service.

Love the steaks and cocktails there

There was nothing here that I did not enjoy. The sea food was on point and the tenderloin was impeccable. Service was outstanding and the staff personable. I cant wait for a repeat.

Food was expensive, but so good. Service was equally great. Ambiance was perfect with a lounge pianist playing classic hits. We came to celebrate my sons birthday and the hostess asked if we were celebrating a special occasion when we were seated. We confirmed we were. There was no further mention of it and left us wondering why they even asked. We thought there was going to be a complimentary birthday dessert or something, but there was not. Regardless, it was still enjoyable and a very nice dining experience. Parking: Its a casino, so plenty of parking.

Kamloops best restaurant for a delicious steak dinner. Our server made our dine-in experience great - she was professional, efficient, and left us to our beautiful evening without being intrusive or negligent. Both the USDA New York Striploin and Chili Rubbed Cowboy Rib Steak were cooked to a perfect medium-rare as we requested. The side of roasted potatoes and arugula seemed to be quite a small portion at first but paired with the steak we were pleasantly satisfied. We had the Baked Alaska to end the evening and it was light, flavourful, and our server made it into a great tableside presentation. Overall, great experience at Atlas!

Fine cuisine, great service with live music. This is not an inexpensive place so you have to be prepared to spend. The atmosphere is model after a cruise ship restaurant

Really classy Restaurant. You need to order early to get food in time. You may think the portion is small however when you get eating, its more than enough. Incase you have a large appetite you can order the shared portions of Fries or salad, which is more than enough. Very beautiful ambiance for photos and friendly staff. One more thing its 18% of the total for tips.

The food is delicious. Service is great. We enjoyed the ambiance enhanced by live piano. The food was sooooo much that we decided to order half of what we ordered this time. Even then we would probably be extremely full.

Nice decor, nice manager and server. The menu is very limited, and the wine list wasnt - just vocal from the server. Friends were OK with their meals but mine was terrible. They tasted mine and agreed. Ill never go back

A unique gem. The lady was happy and so was I. Presentation was on point. The steak was cooked to how we wanted and tasted great. We got such a kick out of being able to choose our own steak knives. Keep up the good work.

Great tasting food. Probably one of the priciest places in town, but worth it. The scallop and prawns in their happy hour menu is my favourite. The seafood tower was a bit disappointing for the price...

Service was good but food is ok really high priced for what you get . Steak was over cooked and had gristle in it , calamari was done different than normal and prawns were over cooked, lobster tails were alittle burnt.

First time Ive been given the option to choose my steak knife. Entertaining place, great food.

When I first went there it was great the second time not so great but was convenient for going for something to eat and going right back into the casino

Had our staff party here and the service and food was all top notch. We had the new york strip for our main and it was cooked perfectly, lobster bisque was perfec and desert was creme brulee which was perfectly done as well. We will go back on our own to try more of the menu.
