Came in with my two young kiddos for takeout . Kind staff and the food was amazing!!! My kids LOVED the tofu teriyaki , normally they don t like tofu! Every item we got was so delicious . Thanks!!!!

Along with the new renovation, the food at this location has majorly levelled up. I consider this one of the best sushi restaurants in Kamloops. The portion sizes of the sashimi are ridiculously large and extraordinarily fresh. If you re someone who believes the sushi and Kamloops is subpar, you haven t been to this location since the makeover. Stellar value. We are fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality in this city.

Im originally from Kamloops and live in Vancouver now where Im spoiled with all the options for amazing Asian and Japanese cuisine and every time I go home to visit family I always make sure I stop by here. Great atmosphere. Amazing food. Awesome portion size and fair prices. The owners are so warm and friendly and always remember me when I come in, even if its been a few months. I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely keep coming back. Thanks for everything!!!! Update: Back for a visit in 2024. Ordered take out for my family of 16. Update November 2024 THANK YOU for the most amazing birthday lunch!! First time dining inside; such a comfy cozy spot. Absolutely delicious food and excellent service! I am a Spicy Agedashi Eggplant addict now! We have ordered large take out orders quite a few times now and the sushi is not only very delicious but always presented beautifully in the environmentally friendly takeout boxes, rolls are very generous in size and unique unlike other places, and everything is fresh and colourful. Customer service is always friendly, quick, and attentive. The menu is the best most creative sushi menu in Kamloops. Arigato in Aberdeen is also very generous with their wasabi, pickled ginger, soy sauce and chopsticks. Easy parking. During a very busy Canada Day weekend we had glitches with our order. The owner, Mr Yu contacted me immediately and handled the situation very kindly and generously all restaurants can make a mistake especially during busy times, and it is when they fix the issue right away with kindness and class that shows how professional and dedicated to great quality and service they are. Why should you stay at least one night in Kamlops? Because there is a restaurant called Arigato Sushi ~~ I stopped by on the way from Banfu to Vancouver. I missed Japanese and Korean food. I usually enjoy eating Japanese sashimi. The salmon and tuna here were really different. The thickness is three times that of a regular restaurant. Triple the freshness and flavor In particular, unlike the typical yellow farmed salmon, bright red wild salmon was a new experience for us. I cant forget the smell when I bite into a single leaf of tuna tataki. The restaurant was clean and the food was so good that I had a chance to meet the owner in person and ask questions. The young owner majored in hotel management in the United States. Customers come to enjoy delicious food let s focus only on this. It must be fresh, the quantity must be plentiful, and the taste must be excellent~~ This is why it was continuously selected as the best restaurant last year and this year. If youre staying at least one night in Kamlops, be sure to stop by. You will never regret it~~

First time here and it was ! Had the tofu dish and the veggie tempura

I usually enjoy arigatos but I ordered the wrong dish last visit. Bacon terriyaki was gross. But everyone else enjoyed their more classic meals.

Friendly and fast service at Arigato Sushi. Staff are great, and the spicy pork bulgogi dish is great, (although very spicy!) Definitely would recommend checking this spot out.

I stopped by this place while staying one day on my way to Banff, and it exceeded my expectations. Not only the rolls, but I forgot to take a picture, the soft tofu stew and stone pot bibimbap were also delicious. I was grateful for the taste of home in a faraway place! Parking: Its enough

Found it to be a little overpriced, did not find the 2 rolls I had very flavorful, quite on the dry side. On the other hand the spicey agadshi tofu was wonderful!

This is the best place in Canada I ever had sushi .They are busy you have to wait for a table at times but the answer to that is go in and order to go and its ready in no time and they make great sushi and the ONLY place in Canada that I know of you can get TRU roll which is my favorite .Named after the University by the way .

Its very convenient next to the interchange. I recommend this restaurant if you want to drink hot soup and eat delicious Japanese or Korean cuisine! The Korean tofu hot pot is very delicious, and the udon and tempura are also delicious

I was in Kamloops for an overnight. I dont want to give away secret restaurant hot spots in Kamloops but... This place is fantastic. My family and I stumbled across it by accident while waiting for our car to be repaired and had lunch there. The food and service was terrific. The servers were looking out for us, and the food was delicious. If you like sushi and youre in Kamloops, go here. You wont be disappointed.

My husband, two girls and I went out for dinner in Kamloops (were from out of town). After we left and were getting in our vehicle one of the staff members came running out and asked if I made a mistake on the tip, I told him no thats what we meant to tip. Thank you for a great dinner tonight. Every time we go its great service, the staff members are amazing and the food is always good. Arigato is definitely one of the favourite restaurants in Kamloops. They also updated the inside since we were last there and it looks fabulous.

Awesome experience! We were driving thru Kamloops and wanted something other than fast food. Found this place with a Google search and I m so glad I did! Food was delicious and atmosphere was family friendly!

Im not someone that eats sushi but brought my son in one evening and after looking at the menu I saw something that appealed to me. It was the garlic chicken roll. I dont like fish so I bought this. It was delicious. Cant wait to go back and order it again. I hope many people enjoy this so that it stays on the menu.

Yam roll was about 4hrs old and tasted awful. Agadashi was cold. Slow service. Wanted to love, but it was just not great.

Food is okay but not consistent. For example, different portions of ingredients depending on your roll (while eating from the same roll). If you re craving sushi in the area this place works. It s very loud and busy (which is good for ppl who enjoy this type of atmosphere). It could also be because it was close to dinner rush? I asked for extra wasabi and sauce to dip my tempera in and was told I d have to pay an extra $3. Eek. Reception area is not the greatest either, dark, hidden, small and in the corner of where the entry doors open.

Really shocked to find a good Sushi restaurant in Kamloops while travelling through . Huge menu with a big selection of custom rolls . Had the bento box and ate the whole thing . Service was top shelf and food was served fast. I would recommend this for anyone Living in Kamloops but also anyone passing through looking for a quality Japanese food experience.

First time dining with friends at this location. We ordered bento boxes, udons, rolls, sushi, and sashimi to try. An assortment. The bento boxes were nice as they had a little bit of everything.

So disappointed today. I have been dining there for many years. Today I came in for a quick bite. I was sat down around 11:20am. By 11:35 it was obvious I had been forgotten. No one came by to offer me a drink or even take my order. At that point I wasnt gonna have time to have my order taken, wait for the food and eat. I watched other people get their orders. Thats when I got up and just walked out. No one even noticed me walking out the door. It wasnt even busy. So yeah, extremely disappointed.

%100 improvement, customer service was hurting for awhile but this visit we found a night and day difference. Arigato has absolutely no competition in Kamloops! Food

Honestly the food was terrible. The raw fish I ordered was so fishy, tasted like the way canned tuna tastes and dont get me wrong I love sushi, raw fish specifically but this was completely inedible. The service is good and I like the atmosphere but the food left me feeling nauseas. Ive eaten here four times in the past and had nothing against it until now the food was just off.

update: Me and my friend received an eye roll from the server bc the 10% tip that we gave to her I guess the place is too fancy for us to dine in 4.5 great sushi We ordered sushi, beef rib and beef donburi There was veggie which was not fresh, they remade it for us.

Normally good. Today sucked. New waitress barely sat us at a table. Just threw the menu down and walked away with nothing. No plates for my son so hes eatingboff a napkin tried getting waitress attention many times. Left without eating. Wish i hadnt paid. Wont be back. Food

Food is good. Service has always been standoffish and lacks friendliness. Could be the business or the way the restaurant treats the employees?. They are fast and efficient though.

One of my favorite restaurants is Arigato Sushi. Recently, my wife and I lunch there and enjoyed their delicious Hedupbob and Vege Udong. The fresh sashimi in the hedupbob was especially tasty and fresh. The only inconvenience was that the white neon sign was not always displayed, so we had to check at the front entrance to ensure they were open. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was enjoyable.

Good food and good customer service. The staff was very friendly. There are plenty of options. We tried Tuna Poke Special Roll and Chicken Yakisoba. Good portion size and food were tasty. Highly recommend. They have a large variety of sushi rolls. You need to discuss to find out which ones are their best ones.

So yummy!! Even with the Covid rules in place we ate this in the car which made it even more memorable but I m sure the sit down experience would be wonderful too. The salmon and tuna Sashimi were to die for! My favourite role was the Red Wave but the spider role and Snow White were a close second and third! Thank you!! Just came here again!! We always stop by here when passing through. Same frivolities as above!! Especially the snowshoes this time. Also tried the rocky mountain roll and it was next level! Sashimi chunks never disappoint!

Amazing food and great service. Korean and Japanese Style at it s Best. First of all, all the food we ordered was very delicious. My child likes ribs, so I ordered it, and he gave it a thumbs up. The fried food was so delicious, and the veggie udon I ordered was crunchy, clean, and hot, so it relieved the fatigue of the trip. I happened to visit this place on my way to Banff, and it was better than any other sushi restaurant I had in Vancouver. Additionally, the staff were very friendly, and the space was partitioned, so it was nice to have a meal in privacy. If I get the chance, I definitely want to visit again! :)

I ordered three separate rolls for pickup and they all came in one container which we can work around. But, I dont understand why there was only two chopsticks and two wasabi/ginger containers? Three rolls for three people that have to share chopsticks and condiments? While I love the food, some times they confuse me on how they do math.

Took a while to get attention from the waiters, who were very nice but rushed. The food tasted good, but the sashimi was the laziest Ive ever seen, if you can call them sashimis. It took me three big bites to get through each piece. In Japanese cuisine the food is supposed to be bite-sized, theres no knife on the table. Also, not the tastiest fish Ive eaten. Maybe stick to sushis if you go there.

The chicken teriyaki flavour was off the rice was dry and crunchy. That was my go too. The roll I ordered had a burnt flavour. The wife said that last time she was there the food was off. Maybe new cooks since the menu changed.

Not as hyped up as it s made out to be by the reviews, it s an average sushi place, if I had to pick between Sushi Valley and Arigato, I d pick Sushi Valley any day of the week.

Sushi was great here, the california roll with yam tempera wasnt as fresh as the other rolls but they took it off the bill without a problem. All the rolls were much bigger than I had anticipated so make sure your eyes arnt bigger than your stomach! Seating was a bit tight but otherwise great place for sushi.

They had the most amazingly flavorful miso soup I have ever tasted! The rest of the meal was beyond fabulous! Our server, he was just the icing on the cake for our dining experience!!! We are from Kelowna. However, I will be dining here when in Kamloops again. Until then, I will be recommending this delightful, surprisingly yummy spot to others. :)

Firstly, its the prettiest food Ive ordered around the Okanagan! Delicious. The Flavours were unique to their restaurant. The food was amazing. So many choices for rolls. The spicy seafood had so much seafood in it. It was a spicy ocean of deliciousness! I love the pink lady roll. The chicken udon was a good combination of sweet and spices. The chicken was good, didnt taste processed, was real meat with real grill lines.

Love this spot! The Philadelphia roll is amazing and my favorite in the town, and the vibe is just right relaxed yet polished. Great food, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend making the drive!
