Hatsuki Sushi in Kamloops

It is such a cute little place to go and have dinner or lunch. The staff was super friendly and it felt very welcoming. I came in for takeout and they sat me at a table and gave me free water while I waited. The food was great, and I would definitely come back.

Time and time again, customer service is absolutely exceptional, always very welcoming and friendly and service is fast and very efficient :). Owner is such a kind friendly man! 5 stars for service! We thoroughly enjoy the miso soup and sunomono salads, as well as their fresh tasting special rolls and their gyozas are crispy and delicious with a light tangy dipping sauce. Best prawn tempura we ve ever had anywhere, and their vegetable tempura is also great! The tempura dipping sauce is amazing. Edamame serving is huge! Presentation always beautiful. Rice/rice noodles occasionally lightly undercooked. All U Can Eat is a fantastic deal with great choices even for vegetarians :) Vegetarian options: Many many!!! Parking: Make sure your car is locked up tight. Wheelchair accessibility: There are 3 stairs inside to get to main level that are a bit tricky.

Years ago I gave a one start rating which I thought was fair at the time as my experience was less then impressive. However I have since given them a chance this year and I am pleased to be able to change my rating to 5 stars and say that I highly would recommend you try their food. Their sushi was fantastic, their veg sunomono salad was extremely flavourful, their spring rolls came with a Thai sweet chilli sauce that tasted amazing, but the star of the show was their Tuna and Salmon sashimi. The Tuna was not grainy and melts in your mouth, and I have absolutely no words for the salmon , if was like butter and was not tough to chew. 10/10 will definitely be back.

Always a delight

I have only ever ordered their food. I hardly drop reviews but I had to. I am a simple Gal, a bowl of plain rice and kimchi is enough for me to give kudos. But their chicken yakisoba is so gaaaadyamn good I- I order from there time and time again because it s just so soothing and delicious, love the heat from the spicy option too. So much quantity, I only get their meal when I want a cheat meal and this goes a long way. If I get the extra chicken option, I get so much chicken and it makes 2 whole meals. I even asked them some questions about nutrition on Dash they were kind enough to call me to let me know what they knew best. Sweet people. I am curious though, what soba is it? Buckwheat? I do love its tender yet chewy texture and its ability to lock in so much flavour. With some wasabi/ginger to cut through the grease and a diet pop, you re in for a very filling treat. Fills the tummy, yes, but also the soul! :) Now I gotta order in today haha

The all you can eat menu is very small but the food is OK. The service however is the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. If you want it to take 2 plus hours to have a mediocre sushi dinner then this is the place lol

Went for all you can eat. $26 n there is multiple add ons that are not included in the price. N add on prices are way too much . If you life fish not fried foods n imitation crab .this place is a no go. I was only person in there n had to ask for beverage refill multiple times. Not worth the price. Quality is average Owners child running around yelling.

Very delicious food, especially the Chicken Yakisoba which I love the most and now is my favorite. I was getting bored from the regular fast food burgers and sandwiches, but now I found out the perfect place to eat out. Definitely recommended .

Those sashimies are never fresh. No wonder why those sashimies are kept so many days. They don t care about their quality of food. They only smile and behave nicely with the customer just to make money. Their kitchen is dirty as hell, rats running around. There is no food safe and their servers serve alcohol without any serving it right. They steal government tax by paying cash to staff. That s so selfish of them to cheat the country they are living in. They don t pay for overtime hours and don t pay stat hours on holidays. I have so many screenshots of their misconduct. It s your choice wherever you guys want to go. But I had to aware people about their unethical behaviour. I m always loyal to the country I live and the place I work. And if someone is doing something wrong I need to say it. These guys are cheating the country, the customers and staff..

This was my first time going to Hatsuki Sushi with my grandma, and it was her second time. I am absolutely blown away at the amazing and quick service! Our food came out so quick, the servers were on top of our water refills, and everyone was so kind! There was a little boy in uniform who was just the CUTEST! and such a gentleman with amazing manners Definitely my new favourite sushi place, I would 1000% recommend this restaurant! Vegetarian options: So many veggie options, and all we got was their all you can eat.

We brought our whole high school ski & snowboard team to the restaurant and that staff has pulled together a giant long table for the team! The all-you-can eat was excellent and very quick. Wow this sushi family goes above and beyond! Our littlest guy wanted sunomono for his birthday and Hatsuki Sushi AYCE never disappoints! They even included an adorable dessert just for him afterwards, complete with a birthday song over the speakers! He definitely felt very special! As always we will be back again!

My husband and I brought our 3 children for lunch and it was absolutely amazing! This was our second visit (the first time was amazing as well) but 1st time bringing all 3 kids. What a lovely family run restaurant. The food was great, the service was great. All in all, just a wonderful restaurant. I cannot praise it enough! The miso may just be the best Ive ever had. As well as the gyoza... I could just go on and on. Eat here! Vegetarian options: Delicious! The veggie sushi taste like veggies and not fish which most places do. Top notch! Kid-friendliness: We brought our 3 children ages 6, 4, and 1.5. I always feel a little guilty about bringing my energetic kids to a sit down restaurant however the owners here are absolutely amazing. I did not have a Valentines Day reservation, but a friend and I decided to see if we could get a table. They were kind enough to squeeze us in. There was a Valentines Special for just over $20. It was amazing! 2 Miso soup, a California type roll, 1 special roll of your choice plus 4 pce sashimi. Chocolates for dessert and amazing service! We had the special, yam tempura, tea and chocolates all for $31. Brilliant experience tonight!

I had friends in town from Vancouver for family day weekend and we came for all you can eat sushi! It did not disappoint, from taste, presentation to atmosphere! Ive ordered take out before but the dine in experience was excellent! Pork & Veggie Gyoza get 6stars! We had 3 small kids with us and they made cute panda rice bears for them and they had their own little cute cutlery set up! A real family place! Will be back!

The food is always, ALWAYS good they are so consistent. The service is phenomenal. I came in for pickup and was waiting for a friend who was meeting me and I asked after my food was handed to me if I could wait and they offered me a seat at a table and brought me tea for free while I waited. A great new sushi place. The new owners were very new, but tried extremely hard, while battling the effects of an intense rainstorm.

Tried the new all you can eat menu and was very impressed. All the staff work as if they really love their jobs, its an effort you can taste! The staff refused to let anything bother them. Even the downright cantankerous group sitting across from us didnt dull the service they offered. Some highlights: -Food came quickly, but not to the point the table was cluttered -Drinks (including beer!) are offered at a lower price on the all you can eat menu -Menu tells you which items are full rolls, which are half -staff left a full sized menu (with pictures) so any items you dont recognize can be identified -though under renovations, the atmosphere was inviting and relaxed Cant wait to be back!

I came here yesterday for the all you can eat (AYCE) and it was a great experience! The inside of the restaurant has been renovated and is now very clean-looking and aesthetically pleasing. They even have tatami rooms. The AYCE was a good price ($25) and the drinks were discounted when you go this route over their regular menu. The food was delicious and with good portions for AYCE. However, the best part of the meal was the incredibly kind staff and owner. They were very attentive and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and get you anything you needed. The only negative thing about my experience was a very rude group of people sitting near us who didnt take the time to understand the menu, spent the entire time complaining loudly, and then blamed the staff for not telling them they were ordering too much food. That being said, the staff responded very professionally and went out of their way to wait on these people despite how rude they were. I commend them for that! We will definitely be back. I have also ordered off Hatsukis regular menu many times and the food is always delicious. The Washington roll is a must try!

We got takeout. The atmosphere at pickup was very friendly. New owner was there and very personable. Food survived the walk home through a thunderstorm and was still totally hot and fresh. Presentation made me wary but the taste and texture was phenomenal. Next time we will dine in and get the full experience. :)

I came to Kamloops for 4 days with my partner and we ended up eating at Hatsuki twice in that time. The food was great, the service was wonderful and they were very kind! They have great vegetarian options! Their prices are very reasonable. We will definitely come back if we ever trek to Kamloops again. (My partner cant eat gluten and they were very friendly in helping to accomodate him)

I sceptical coming from Vancouver where we have great sushi but it was great. Lots of fun rolls packed with flavour. I would go back! Servers were also lovely and kind!

Absolutely terrible!! Take out order. The rolls all fell apart. The crunch on the rolls was over deep fried tempura doused in sauce. The rolls tasted like deep fried oil. I had to eat my roll with a fork because it ended up looking like some sort of mushy rice dish. The quality of the food was terrible. Fish was not tasty. I sure hope we dont get sick from what we did eat. This is the first time I have ever thrown sushi in the garbage. EDITED : I emailed the owner as requested. I was told to come into the restaurant and order some food to the value of the order this review is about. I explained that we dont eat in and reminded him we had ordered take out. I also told him that if wanted to make amends that he could give me back my money. Mostly because the food was so terrible that I am honestly not willing to even try it again. At least any time soon. I have been ignored ever since. Shotty customer service and disgusting food. Do yourself a favour and choose any other sushi place in Kamloops. In the very least I can promise you....its better than this place !!

The Sashimi is the best Ive had in Kamloops, and the fried/tempura dishes are crispy and not greasy. Everything I have had has been delicious. Ive worked in restaurants most of my life, so Im always a bit cynical, but Hatsuki doesnt disappoint.

We went to this restaurant for a quick bite on a long road trip. Our original destination was closed for the long weekend, but I am happy that fate brought us this way! The staff is very polie and considerate. Our party was composed of vegans and the staff made fresh miso soup for us. The texture of the tempura yam is perfect and its flavour is without equal. We left very satisifed and appreciated the fair price of the bill. This wil be a repeated stop in future trips :)

Passing through Kamloops, we were skeptical because of the area, however it turned out to be amazing. I never leave reviews, but it s worth it for these people. The food was incredible, the service was great. Managed to accommodate a us (large group) last minute. Check it out!

Neighbourhood is bad, seeing people shooting heroin through the window, but food is really great! Got a good variety for the price and fast service.

17 of us came to eat here and gave the restaurant 0 notice. The service was well organized, the restaurant was clean, the servers were impeccable and so nice. They were quick to have food ready. The food itself was some of the best sushi I have ever had. It is freshly made and you can see the pride the chef takes in their product. I would recommend this spot to anyone!

North kamloops now has another all you can eat place for sushis other than Nara. Its very good.

We had an absolutely woderful dining experience here yesterday. We were immediately greeted by the most polite and friendly servers. We ordered off of their new all-you-can-eat menu. The service was exceptional and the food was fresh and delicicious. Their takeout has always been good, but the dine in experience was second to none. We will be back for sure. Yummy sushi and tempura

The food is very fresh and delicious. The fried food is crispy. The environment is very comfortable and the dining experience is good. There is also a very energetic young boss who is very nice and talkative. Will come again. Looking forward to it ^_^

Great food, good service. The interior has been redone recently, and while it probably needed some attention, all the booths are gone replaced by smaller wooden tables. It feels less private and has lost some of its comfort factor. Its also very possible that the renovations are not completed yet, I saw a couple patches of wall that hadnt been repainted yet.

My husband and I eat Japanese food a lot and thought we would try this restaurant out. No regrets very good food, nice ambiance, and very entertaining. I highly recommend this place. Family owned and operated this is what small business is about.

This place is incredible. A nice little spot. The food was amazing in taste and presentation. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The prices are really good, we got the all you can eat. At 25 dollars a person you cant beat it! Highly recommended!

The food was not fresh. The octopus was stiff/chewy and couldnt be eaten. The crunchy roll was soggy as if it was plastic wrapped and in the fridge for a long time.

The portions were huge and the staff there are absolute sweethearts and amazing and what they do! 10/10 will go back and I strongly recommend that you check this place out! I love the all you can eat sushi. I go here with my Aunt every couple of weeks, and I ve never been disappointed! I always enjoy the variety of flavour and colourful dishes they offer and it s always amazing. 10/10 $25 dollars per person for all you can eat, ain t too shabby. Vegetarian options: Decent amount of vegetarian options Parking: It s street parking so it s first come first serve Wheelchair accessibility: Might struggle, not sure if they have a ramp. Couldn t remember, would phone or check ahead.

Had the best experience at Hatsuki Sushi. My husband and I went out with our 1.5 year old - the owners were so amazing and generous. They gave us complimentary green tea as the heat in the restaurant was slow to turn on and they also gave our daughter a complimentary little kids plate with sliced apples/cucumbers and some rice shaped like a panda. It was so so cute and thoughtful! My husband and I ordered off their all you can eat menu and everything we got was delicious. Highly highly recommend!

Ever since Hatsuki was taken over by new owners, my partner and I have gone every couple of weeks. The food is in my opinion the best sushi in Kamloops, and the service is amazing! The owners are so friendly. They were so kind as to give us complimentary miso soup and two pieces of Hotate nigiri last time we were in. I hadnt ever tried hotate before and really enjoyed it. The food is always fresh and comes out very quickly. Will definitely continue to be back in as often as possible!

Me and my friend went today and the food was amazing! We ordered the all you can eat menu, the appetizers where delicious the sushi and nigiri as well. The hot green tea was also really good. The staff is also so nice and lovely. 10/10 place would definitely recommend if you like sushi.

Did a skip order and the order was missing the tempora pawns. And got some sort of salad instead. I called and the guy didnt care. said he did make the tempora and gave us salad instead. Just kept saying to me to take it up with skip the dishes. Very disappointed.

My husband and I have been going to Hatsuki for years, and although its had some hiccups due to Covid, the food has always been fantastic and its our favourite sushi restaurant in Kamloops! 10/10, 100% recommend!
