What an awesome place! I ate the by far best yam roll ever! My partner had the spider roll which was huge and looked amazing. Very nice staff and delicious tea too. Definitely a place I will go to again when back in Kamloops!! Vegetarian options: I had the crispy fried yam roll. Came with crunchy topping garnish and an amazing drizzle of delicious sauce.

It was my first experience trying Sushi, and heard about this place. So thought of giving a try, and ate California Roll, so good. It was fantastic, the food well plated, tasted good, and service was quick. So I can recommend this place.

Used to be the best sushi in town but under new ownership. All you can eat menu is gone, which was the best reason to go here and food quality has rapidly declined. Very sad

My 2 daughters and I made a night of the all you can eat menu as well as the Al a cart options. Everything that crossed our table was awesome! We all loved the miso soup, dragon roll and the super fresh sashimi! The girls and I cant wait to go back!

This is the most amazing Japanese restaurant I ve had in ages. Big portion sizes, tasty food, and impeccable service! So amazing. Vegetarian options: Good number of vegetarian options my friends are all vegetarians and they commented on the numerous options, from tofu, egg, and veggie!

Large variety of sushi rolls to choose from. They were made very quick and tasted awesome. I brought my dad who had never had sushi before and he really enjoyed it. Our servers were great. Definitely 5 stars for service.

This place is such a gem! We have eaten in and just enjoyed our first take out. We enjoyed the Karaage Bento Box, it was so thoughtfully prepared and packaged. It was the perfect trear after a long drive.

This is my favourite local restaurant in town. They are always so fast, efficient, and KIND when I go in for group lunches with my coworkers, and it s just as pleasant doing dinner there, or picking up a to go order. They have given me little gifts because I am a loyal customer. Oh, the food is also delicious and amazing of course! As a vegetarian, I love the options they have!

Have only been once but the service and the food were exceptional! The prices are very reasonable. Ive never had a better yam tempura roll. I will definitely be going back and would recommend giving it a try if you havent already.

I was on a business trip and stopped here for dinner. Chirashi bowl was super fresh and great. Next time Im in Kamloops, I will definitely eat sushi at Royal Tokyo again.

Used to be my favourite restaurent in Kamloops. Me and my friends are not going back there after tonight. They failed to give us the right food or the quantity we orderd, on top of that they made us wait for 2 hours + for the food. They were too busy serving food to skip the dishes, and pretty much avoided serving food to the people who were waiting go the food. At a point we had too much, so decided to leave. Since it was taking too late and we did not get the right food the server apolozised and told that he would talk to the person in-charge to do something about the bill. He was denied and we ended up paying the full bill. Only because of the servers good behaviour we did not say anyting. This one star goes to the guy who helped us tonight. The restaunet deserves 0 star for tonights service.

TERRIBLE. Tiny portions, the vegetables are literally a bunch of peas. The wonton soup is $8 and the size of a miso! The teriyaki was extremely dry and rhey only ga e one soy sauce. GARBAGE DO NOT ORDER THIS TRASH!

This is the only sushi restaurant my partner and I order from (probably about once a week), and they never disappoint. Today I ordered one of their Wagashi-Cherry blossom flowers on skip and I guess they didnt have any yet so the owner drove it out to me after they were ready! It was so beautiful that I almost didnt want to eat it (I did eventually and it was amazing )

A great sushi find. I ordered the chirashi don bowl and was impressed that it contained tuna, salmon, toro, scallops, octopus, hamachi. The rice was seasoned properly and the one touch I had never seen before was having the cucumber diced on top of the rice. A nice way to have cucumber with every bite of rice. Gluten free soy sauce also.

Pretty darn good! Reasonably priced compared to sushi further north and good quality. Yaki udon noodles were soft, fluffy and yummy. They only use sockeye for sashimi! Thats enough for 5 stars in my books. Nothing worse than ordering sashimi and getting gross farmed Atlantic salmon.

Terrible service by the server and the Manager herself! Not just one time but several times over the years. We go there time to time for all we can eat sushi. It takes long time for them to bring food. Sometimes it is understandable when the restaurant is busy! They brought dessert and later brought sushi that we ordered 30 minutes ago. The manager ignored us and walked away when we wanted to talk. So that s it. Not going there again.

Werid limitation on the all you can eat sushi, food was good though. Limitation: only could order 3 times, only could have 10 different types of food ordered on the paper at a time. Did not really feel like all you can eat because of all the rules.

Worst service ever! The staff seemed completely disinterested in serving food within a reasonable time. Had to wait for more than 45 minutes. Extremely rude attitude from staff without any reason.

I LOVE going to this sushi restaurant, Im always ordering takeout and Ive never been disappointed! The food is very consistent, good portions, always tasty, and packed up nicely. Whenever I go for dine in the staff is welcoming and the atmosphere is cozy, comfortable, and clean. Its my favorite place to get sushi its always my first choice for dinner!

This is one of 2 sushi restaraunts I will go to in the loops any more. Staff are absolutely excellent. Service, quality and presentation are second to none in town. One of the rolls We get every time is the power roll.

Quite possibly the worst sushi I ve ever had! Bland and tasteless. We ordered take out and upon getting it home and opening it up we considered just throwing it away. Looked completely unappetizing. Would have been better off just burning the $80.

Ive been to 3 or 4 sushi place in kamloops but this one is by far the greatest. Its my go to place for a quick and great meal and the miso soup is on the money.

This has become my most favorite sushi place in town! Never been disappointed with the food, always so fresh and so good! The yam tempura roll and chicken teriyaki roll are myst-trys, I promise you will be blown away. Their udon is excellent, I would ve ordered it all the time if I m not scared that I ll be too full. All in all, great place, great price, I ll stick to this place!!

For the last 4 times it has been absolutely terrible. The new owners have really let it go downhill. Portions of ayce are so tiny and the husband got food poisoning today. I dont like leaving negative reviews, but today topped the cake of the worst there. I do not recommend at all.

Very very slow service here, will definitely be trying the other sushi options in kamloops if i am here again looking sushi. Waited 30 minites between orders for the all you can eat dinner menu, perhaps it was a new server but many items in the food order were missed, even quick and easy things like miso soup, never got it. Maybe they were under staffed, over all pretty poor experience here, very friendly and nice staff though, just not the best systems in place here i suppose

Been coming here since 2016 and they changed management in 2019 and the food is not nearly as nice, service has gotten really bad and Im really sad to say me and my team will no longer be eating here. Well passing the news to the other teams as well.

Excellent low key sushi place with plenty for vegetarians and vegans. we had the vegetable bento box which comes with miso soup, salad, two spring rolls, tempura vegetables, a vegetable sushi roll, and tofu cubes plus rice. My brother got the vegetable udon noodleplayed with added tofu. All the portions were huge and the prices were incredibly low. The bento box was only 12.95 Canadian dollars.way more food than we could eat, to be honest. We also got the seaweed salad appetizer and the sauteed spinach with peanut sauce appetizer. Highly recommended.

I have ordered twice from them this week through SkipTheDishes. The food was actually pretty darn good. I especially appreciate the fact that they use wild salmon, not farmed Atlantic salmon. This is a big bonus in my book.

We visit many sushi restaurants. This was our least favorite. The rolls seemed poorly made, falling apart. The salmon nigiri, the salmon was crazy small. Unless this was a different style, we didnt enjoy it. Staff was very friendly, the food was good, just seemed not well put together.

Well this used to be my FAVORITE place to eat. This is the first time iv been in with the new owners and Im disappointed the food was poorly made and fell apart. The nigiri took 5 pices to make one normal size. I will not be coming back and that breaks my heart :(

As we were strolling through the streets in Kamploops two days ago, we happened to walk past this sushi bar. The price sounded inviting, so we gave these a try. However, it wasnt the unbeatable price-performance that brought us these 5 stars. The food was so fresh and incredibly delicious and the service was phenomenal. I am totally convinced that most of these reviews that are giving four or five stars are fake the fish on the all you can eat sushi was so meager it was barely visible. You are basically paying for rice and Nori. I know it s Kamloops but honestly it was terrible food. I will never be back.
