Pho, vermicelli & other Vietnamese favourites served in a casual space with banquette & booth seats.
Came here yesterday to try out the food since we are visitors from Vancouver but to be honest, I am disappointed with the service here, the food was okay nothing special to us, but we had to pay 50 cents for 3 small pieces of lime! Which is it has to be included, and another 50 cents for a small fish sauce to dip with a salad roll. For the first time ever I have to pay extra for that stuff, if it’s taken out I can understand for bag and utensils! But this is dine in! Really disappointed with price and food!
I really enjoyed the laksa! The flavors were rich and comforting, and the broth had a nice balance of spice that wasn’t too overpowering. Thanks for the great experience—I’ll definitely come back for more!”
Food here are so so so delicious! Especially the service from Bella! We like her, she’s very passionate and patient for everyone. If you like Pho, you should choose here! Strongly recommend~
I tried the spicy broth pho today, and it was fantastic! I really love spicy food, so this dish is definitely gonna be my go-to from now on. Yum
we stop there from our trip and I thought it will be a good restaurant to try but no, the Pho broth and the spicy Pho broth is so terrible, expensive price, and even the veggie they put you like just a little bit to “ taste” . For the whole special Pho they gave you like 2 leaves of basil ( i included picture). I am Vietnamese and I never give any bad feedback on the Vietnamese restaurant in Canada before but for this restaurant so sad I need to write something. Hope they improve their food. 1 good thing about that restaurant is the Vietnamese staffs there they are friendly but the waitress ( she is Chinese I think) she is a bit grumpy 🫥🫥🫥
This weekend I went to Lemongrass with my family. The food tastes good especially the deep fried salted Tofu. Bella is very nice and provided good service. We will back again!
I think the high rating is because this is one of the two Vietnamese food places in Kamloops. If this place was to be in Vancouver it would not survive the competition. The pho broth is light and topping is simple, the vermicelli/ rice bowl is of small portion and the topping is stingy. The three color bowl looked great on the photos but in reality it's literally two pork slices on a skewer. Talking about optical illusion this is quite extreme. The nem nuong are thinly sliced - I took one to eat already before I took the photo because I was starving. I was going to devour the food but the pork skewer was too surprising not to take a photo. Slow service, don't come here if you're in a rush or starving. Also make sure you have water on hand afterwards because you'll be very thirsty.
Great atmosphere, friendly service. I’ve been in culinary business for years and Lemongrass never misses the point! Pretty authentic (I’m from Vietnam btw 🇻🇳). This is three color combo with rice.
The creamy coconut curry chicken with rice is amazing.
Food is really good, tasty and large portions, service was a little slow but they were busy. The atmosphere was kind of bland, and I wasnt too keen on how the tables and seating was set up. Kid-friendliness: Yes Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Good food for a cold day, authentic Vietnamese staff.
It has no taste. There really isnt.
Food is good, must try this restaurant!!!
Great food, awesome service !!
Love the food here!!!
This is our go-to place for pho in Kamloops. We moved from Burnaby where we had several great options and so we were worried about missing them when we moved. I can say now were so happy we found this place! Its comfort in a bowl! And even better - we were over the moon to learn they had gluten free spring rolls!! What a treat! Highly recommend this place! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!
Great food, great customer service.
Best chicken wings!! And pho broth is rich and delicious.
The food is usually alright here, other than they charge for garnish eith your soup. But waited 45 minutes tonight and still didnt get our food. What a waste of our time. Couldnt even compensate the little order of beans that took 30 mins. We ended up going somewhere else. If you cant keep up with customers maybe let them know its gonna be a long wait
one of my favourite restaurants. love the rare beef pho and deep fried sautéed tofu. Vegetarian options: many good vegtable and tofu dishes
Great food, clean eating, fresh and flavorful at a great price. A must try! This is not fine dining but quick simple and delicious. The only negative thing I can say is put more shrimp on the stick! All the other portions are huge but the shrimp. Food : 4/5
Lots of memories
The food and the service is perfect
Great food quick service
Great food and service. Needs more lighting in the restaurant. Definetly amazing bubble tea.
Kid-friendliness: They have high chair Food
Quite busy place, good food and service.
Their foods and service is ok. Just a normal pho soup.
The rice noodles and Salad Rolls taste pretty good and the portions are generous.
Customer service is very poor
Poor and slow service. Server has different attitude towards poc.
good
Good. So delicious ! It makes me remember Pho in my hometown.
Taste Pho so good and it s so similar taste like Viet Nam. And I recommend everybody try Pho or Hue Spicy Soup . The servers are so friendly and supportive
It s so delicious that I have to come back for many times. I m Vietnamese and the flavor in this restaurant is so good. The service staff is very attentive.
Love their spicy soup. The place is amazing. Joyce is so friendly and doing well on her job. Feels welcoming and absolutely coming back.
Amazing authentic Vietnamese restaurant. My favourite place in Kamloops and has been for years. The staff are incredible and remember mine and my families orders each time.
Loved it here!
First time in this area, visiting.I look up asian restaurant found this place.Went in and was sitted.Small place no big fancy place but very good and tasty big portions and prices are very good.If around there again would come back again.
Excellent Vietnamese food. My family is here in Kamloops for a soccer tournament and happened to come across this amazing restaurant. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys delicious food and exceptional service.
The staff is VERY accommodating with allergies. I got a Hue style soup and my wife got the Pho. Our allergies are Dairy and Nuts, and the staff was very knowledgable and super helpful and willing to accommodate with our food. The restaurant is also super clean. I would definitely recommend this place not only because the food is very good and well priced, but also because how good the service is.
Very good services, especially to my son who has food allergies, highly appreciated!
To be very honest, I do not think that they are making Vietnamese food, because they are just not. I had many different pho dishes whether in China ( very close to Vietnam) or in Canada, lemongrass is the worst. The soup was too plain, mild , the rice noodle was too soaked without any texture, no lime no chili pepper, nothing. I had been there twice, the second time I went back and thought maybe give them a chance , but I was so wrong
Excelente option! We like very much! Food
The beef ball pho was not the greatest especially the noodles had a weird texture and fishy taste to the noodles i couldnt even have two bites .I dont think I will be returning
I always have a good experience at Lemongrass. The food is wonderful and their gluten free options are great!
One of the best places to eat in KAMLOOPS for
Pretty decent Vietnamese food for Kamloops, although you don t have much choice anyways. I feel like the food used to be better, but things like the spring rolls have really gone down hill. There are huge chunks in them and they are uncomfortably chewy now. Chicken wings are still delicious as well as the lemongrass chicken. Parking: It s a really tight parking lot. There are an okay number of spots, but the way are narrow. If you re driving a big truck be aware. Kid-friendliness: There is no kids menu but lots of the food is toddler friendly. Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is pretty narrow and you do have to make a few turns. I believe it could be done, but it wouldn t be the easiest.
worst expirence I had in all restaurants in Kamloops ! me and my wife waited 25 minutes, and the waitress never came back ! we were frustrated, and we ended up leaving empty stomachs ! Dont open a restaurant if you cant manage to serve 3 tables !
Ordered take out from here many, many times and it always hits the mark. One of my favourite spots in Kamloops. So happy the Sahali location is open on Sundays again!
Always sooooo yummy !!! Bella and all the staff are awesome
One of my familys favorite restaurants! The food is delicious & well priced, & the staff is so friendly. Always a great experience
Tasty food
Service and food are always amazing!
Delicious
Food is overpriced, even more expensive than Vancouver.
Very good restaurant, I really liked it. Salad rolls and Pho
Quick and reliable service, quality ingredients and homemade soup. Very good Pho!
Didn t expect much in the beginning but the food was a lot better than I expected.
Delicious Vietnamese food. Had Pho, Veggie Wrap and Grilled Chicken Vermicelli. Parking available in front.
I think its good
No where close to what it used to be, the quality of the food has gone down hill and is pricey with skimpy portions even for Kamloops standards..
As someone who cant eat gluten, that makes Lemon Grass our familys go to for take out. Their prices are reasonable and the food is always amazing and the portions are large. Before finding Lemon Grass, I had pretty much given up on eating out. I either always end up sick or the gluten free options I order from a regular restaurant are just nasty, but the food at Lemon Grass is just naturally, mostly gluten-free. The food is always hot and fresh, healthy and delicious, and its always more than enough for our family of 5. We have yet to have a bad experience there. The spring rolls are AMAZING! Dietary restrictions: Awesome for gluten free options!!!!
As a visitor we were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant. Made our visit throughly enjoyable.
The spring rolls and lemongrass chicken / tofu are the best dishes Ive had in Kamloops. This is my first stop as soon as I reach the city.
Best Vietnamese restaurant in Kamloops! Highly recommend the Pho, Laksa, and Lemongrass chicken.
Great service
Dietary restrictions: Great Gluten Free Curry Chicken! Food
Amazing experience from the moment I stepped in the door until I left. Great staff who are very friendly and attentive. The food tasted spectacular and was just the right amount. Definitely my go to place in town!
Good food!
Very good food, warm service as well!
We tried their chicken Pho with salad rolls. Salad rolls have a vegetarian option otherwise it contains pork. Their chicken broth was mixed with seafood broth, you need to be careful if you have any sea food allergies. It was a good experience with friendly staff. Good and calm environment with parking available, you may need to make a reservation during busy hours.
Really good food and really good service.
Amazing food!!! Just good good taste! Literally everything you order here is delicious! You try it once, and you will keep coming back!
Was not impressed! Ordered the Bun bo hue! Very skimpy on meat and vegetables! The broth was very dark and reminded me of a quick made broth! ! Did not taste like any other soup Ive had from other Vietnamese restaurants! And i have tried many! They are all very similar ! Maybe its just this dish and others could be deliscious!
My family and I love pho. Every time we go to a new place, we always look for a Vietnamese restaurant, so we can enjoy a nice bowl of noodle soup. Few months ago we tried it at this restaurant, the pho doesnt taste like pho At All. The laksa also didnt taste good. The broth on both dishes are just off. Yesterday, we went in the yew street food hall and decided to try again. And its still the same.
Best Vietnamese spot in Kamloops! The pho and laksa are delicious, the staff is friendly and the service has been top notch. Truly a hidden gem. Try the chicken wings if you like them crispy!
We had reservations for our party of 7 and dined here last evening. Unfortunately we were seated nearest the door in -27 temperatures and there was a constant cold rush of air at us every time the door opened for guests or take out . Which was constant. As well , because of the overcrowding and the cold there were jacketed guests seated in the wait area so close behind my son and daughter in law that they couldnt push their chairs out to leave for washroom without requesting those waiting move back . Made what was to be a nice family birthday meal quite uncomfortable and unpleasant. Food wasnt as up to usual par but the server was pleasant .
I am a constant return customer to Lemongrass. The Pho is unbelievable and the spring rolls or prawn tempura are also my main go-to food items. There are lots of comfortable seats and the service is quite good too. If you havent tried this place or are a first time pho person you cant go wrong here!
Update: I went back because unfortunately Watercress closed down and it s my go to comfort food. Again was extremely disappointed, the pho broth was cold which I reheated but they no longer give you bean sprouts, lime and the sauces with the Pho! Definitely a major disappointment without them. The vermicelli was okay, but very cheap with the fish sauce and no carrots in the fish sauce and no peanuts!! I really wish they would step up their game because there is no where else for Pho! I wish I could give a better review but I just ordered the rare beef pho for pickup and the broth wasn t even room temperature let alone hot enough to cook the meat!! I live not even 10 minutes away! Very, very disappointing. I will never be back. Very unfortunate. I ve eaten here before and it was never this bad. Broth doesn t seem to have any flavour. I just hope I don t get sick from eating it because I can t just throw it out. I hate to waste food!! Normally I go to another Vietnamese place further away and never had a temperature problem but it was closed on Sundays.
Dietary restrictions: Finally somewhere with a soup that is gluten free - broth AND noodles. Never been sick and have celiac disease.
We orderd noodle and rice dishes. All the food were great. We visited Kamloops while were heading to Vancouver. When were there, there are a lot of customers in restaurant. Basically food taste was deep and authentic. If I have a chance to visit Kamloops, I will go and try other dishes. Fried spring roll was crispy and great. I can recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Their soups are absolutely delicious. They have the best wonton soup Ive ever tasted. Their curry Laksa soup is soooo flavourful.
worst vietnamese restaurant ever, I ordered a special combo and the noodles was just so dry and old. will not go back
As always the food is good and consistent if you are looking for something different in Kamloops. Some dishes may have you drinking more water afterwarda but I aint mad Staff are quick and friendly. The only thing is how close some of the tables are. It makes it hard to have more one on one conversations. Other than that its a favourite! Highly recommend the vietnamese coffee if youve never had it! Its a bit sweet but yummy!
The spring rolls were very good and the pho! For 2 people to go out, share an appetizer and a meal each it only cost $55 before tip. Would definitely go again. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options.
no one comes to take order I dont know why, the attitudes are horrible
#28 The best Bun Bo Hue style noodle I can find in Kamloops. I need to try their Laksa next time !
The soup is okay. But the noodles come out too spread out. I think the noodles were probably overcooked. You dont need to use chopsticks, you have to scoop it up with a spoon.
Very disappointed visit today. The first server was impatient and somewhat rude. She said OK four times and left as soon as we told her what we want. Same thing happened when she served our appetizer; she turned back on us immediately without a single word being said. Thankfully she stopped serving us and went to grab lunch instead. The second server was very polite and checked on us regularly and more importantly with a SMILE:) Besides service, unfortunately, the noodles tasted really bad. The noodles were way too soft and OVERCOOKED or it might be the quality of the noodles they used was poor that way. Haven t been to Lemongrass for a long time and the quality of food and service have gone downhill a lot.
It was very bad. Please avoid this restaurant all the time. My boyfriend is Vietnamese and he threw up on the food.
Great food, great service.
A very nice asian restaurant. Well priced and very friendly and efficient service. Pho was very good and something I have been missing for a while! definitely hit the spot.
The owners are very nice people and the food is very good.
We had a big group that they accommodated as a walk in. Efficient service and great food for a good price
I ordered 14& 40.Super delicious!
Great place, great service, great food
Great food amd service!
Really nice, flavourful soup. Pricing is pretty good Been a few times now and enjoy it everytime
The food is great! Highly recommended.
No tripe, tendon, or basil 4 my pho. Lemongrass chicken tasted like peanuts not lemongrass 4 one of tje plates. Not great will try other places.
I went here to have pho while stopping by Kamloops. I order the house special. As a Vietnamese who eat pho my whole life from Vietnam to Canada, this is probably the worst bowl of pho I have ever had. The broth is missing the unique flavour, and it is sweet, which is really weird. Usually, it will be garnished with white/green onion, but my bowl came with nothing on top. The house special usually will come with all kind of cuts from the beef, but I can only see 2 slides of beef ball and some thin slides of rare beef. We usually eat pho with bean sprout and basil, but the restaurant only gave us a tiny bit of very stale bean sprout. I asked for some chilly oil, which is usually a compliment like hoisin sauce and hot sauce for a Vietnamese restaurant. When I pay, I just realize that they charge $1.50 for a tiny bit of chilly oil, which the waitress did not inform me at all. Such a disappointment when I saw 4.3 stars on Google. Definitely don t recommend this place to anyone who want to try a good and authentic bowl of pho.
Unsatisfied We expected better from this place to come at par or above average in terms of true and authentic Vietnamese flavour. We were disappointed to find their Pho broth isn t as authentically flavourful a bowl of delicious noodle soup suppose to be. Firstly, the garnishing was a sign that it won t turn out good. The beansprouts wasn t fresh and looks likes its been sitting out in a bowl of cold water for weeks. In addition, traditionally the beansprout should come with basils and lots of it including the beansprouts. Secondly, the broth flavour was too sweet and lacking the Pho flavour which is odd. We think they didn t add MSG catering to caucasian clients. MSG isn t bad for you people, we Asians been eating it for millennia. Everything is bad for us just have it in moderation. Finally, they didn t notified us that they ll charge $1.50 for a small chilli sauce which is suppose to be included with the Pho. We understand we went through a pandemic and recession that has affected us all but at least let us know. Also, cheap out on the meats. I lived here many years before and so far I yet to taste true genuine Pho representing Vietnamese dishes. Hopefully, someone see this and make an effort in the future.
It is a busy place and when you taste the food, you can see why.
Their mixed tempura and hue spicy soup is my go-to.
The server puts in my order wrong, charged me with the food that I did not ordered, and refuses to admit nor apologize that she served me food that I didn t want. Additionally, there was no service throughout my dining experience; no one came to check up on me and no greetings. When I asked about the menu, which is what type of noodles that come with the combo. the server wasn t able to explain anything but, it s noodles . The dish came after 20 minutes of waiting with no acknowledgement; which was not what I ordered but I didn t notice. She served me the rice dish with a fork and chopsticks. After 5 minutes with her walking right passed me, on the phone and ignoring me, I had to go up to the counter to bring a spoon back myself. The dish I ordered was three color combo . What I was served was special combo , or whatever they called it. I didn t notice the difference since the only difference was there were prawns and $2 upcharge in the special combo I didn t know that for a fact until again I went up to them for the check; since no one came and asked me if I want the check or not. It s then I realized I was served and charged with the wrong food. Again as I stated before, the server didn t seem apologetic nor willing to own up to her mistake. When they took my order, she didn t repeat it nor to make sure she got it right. Which is another reason why I think this restaurant is really unprofessional and condescending to its customers. A side note, the food was fine, not impressive.
Our go to spot for pho in Kamloops is Lemongrass Vietnamese Restaurant. We had some beers appetizers and noodles. The chicken wings were good. Came out fresh from the fryer and the meat was moist. Seasoned well. The gyozas were good. The Hue Spicy Soup is delicious with the perfect amount of heat. Ample toppings and noodles. My friends enjoyed the House Special Noodles. If you are in Kamloops and have a craving for pho this is the place.
A pretty good Vietnamese restaurant.
Overpriced and food was just mediocre. For the price you pay, you would kind of expect better quality? Nope, just overpriced pho noodle. nothing special. We asked for chili oil on the side but it turns out they charge you $1.25 for it. Ill just keep my money and go elsewhere next time. Good ambience.
The food was extremely good especially the mixed tempura and the chicken stir fry rice...great service and great food
Good food and quick service!
We stopped here for lunch on the way back to Seatte. Enjoyed the veggies pho, vogues/tofu noodles. Food was great here!
Was very good, the only negative would be that it would have been nice if the menus had pictures of the dishes available rather than the large boads set up sporadically around the restaurant. It was impossible to see what was being displayed unless you were right beside it. But the food and service was amazing. They also have a special coffee that is fantastic.
Food is mediocre at best and surprisingly pricey for what you get. It was over salted yet lacking in flavour at the same time. A side of extra noodles will run you $4.50 and they charge $1.50 for a table spoon of chili oil?! Service was decent and was the saving grace here. They also have gluten free options which is a bonus.
Nice place for dinner, simple and decent. Most dishes seem like a Vietnamese cooking. Food
Not at all the flavors we have in Quebec and very expensive to pay for a soup with noodles.
Terrible experience will not be going back! After we were seated I leaned against the table to look at the menu and became grossed out after leaning back because my shirt was sticking to something sticky on the edge of the table and left residue on my shirt. Then we ordered, my husband got the #25 pho and I got the Three colour combo(cant remember what number that was). Our server brought out my husbands food first and he started eating while I was waiting my food... The server then brought out two dishes, one was mine and the other dish was for the table beside us, she placed the dish in front of me after giving the others food the them and I noticed it wasnt my dish. She repeated the order saying it was the special and I said no I ordered the Three colour combo, she then turned to the table next to me and was going to grab his dish when she noticed he was already eating it. She explained to me that the only difference between his dish and mine was a prawn skewer so I said thats fine Ill just eat the shrimp and then she had the audacity to ask me to hand her the shrimp skewer off the dish because it was meant for the other table...I handed it to her and she TURNED TO THE TABLE AND SAID HERES YOUR SHRIMP FOR YOUR ODER !! she didnt even go get him a new skewer nothing! and to top it off I had touched that same skewer before she handed it to him! I know I shouldnt have eaten my food but I was really hungry, now for the food! All the meat on my plate was cold, the marinated pork was burnt, and the dish overall lacked flavor. Ive had some really good Vietnamese food but this is not it!
Great experience with Lemongrass Kamloops~ Dine around 6 pm with a very short wait and get seated soon. We got the chicken wings, rare beef pho, chicken curry, tofu lemongrass, and their boba tea. As a cbc growing up drinking boba tea their boba really shocked me with amazing flavours and chewy pearls. The pho is the most authentic Vietnamese pho Ive tried, broth taste like it was boiled with flavourful ingredients for hours. Overall their service and food are amazing, truly the best Vietnamese food in town.
Great authentic food. My go to place in Kamloops!
Always love a good bowl of Pho and this is my favorite place in Kamloops for it. Parking: Tight squeeze but there are spots
Great feed, awesome service and best spring rolls I have had.
We stopped here for lunch while on a long road trip and it was such a delicious meal. Very fresh and fast service. The servers were very helpful. Have to recommend the Laksa (curry soup) and it was the best dish I ve ever had. Spring rolls were amazing as well as the vermicelli bowls. This is a must stop place!
Great soup Number 27 house special my go to Food : 5/5
Great place. Interesting and diverse menu. Food served quickly with good service. Great sit-down choice.
Very good Vietnamese restaurant
Decided to visit here for lunch because of the reviews. I was rather disappointed, my spring rolls were cold or else they could have been not bad. the phó was overly salted and was not enjoyable. The broth is usually the best part in my opinion. It wasnt terrible, just but definitely had better pho elsewhere.
This is Chinese restaurant NOT Vietnamese restaurant. Thats why the taste of PHO Vietnamese food not good. Their taste is best in Chinese food as same as Stir fry, Deep Fried and Steam.
Expected the pho to be better for the price, and stop charging for condiments that should be included with the soup, your prices are already quite high lol. And what s with the hoisin in your satay chilli oil?
The food was mediocre at best, the wait time was long and not worth it. while eating, one of the servers was spraying the table next to me and it got on my arm too. It wasn t as if the food was super cheap too. Be expected to pay around $17-$20 per person.
Excellent food!
best Vietnamese in kamloops hands down
Stopped by for dinner and got lucky to find parking in this small plaza. A bit hard to find without GPS. The deco inside feels more like a Japanese restaurant. Both the spicy hue soup and stirred fry beef rice noodle are good, but the portion seems to be ok the smaller side, at least on the meat to carbs portion.
We were not disappointed with our lunch. We were happy to eat at a restaurant that does food. Good quality Vietnamese. Vegetarian options: Tofu dishes Kid-friendliness: No problem Wheelchair accessibility: Located on the ground floor
The food was not so great, the portion was quite little, i was given small quantity for the fish sauce and had to ask for another one but they had to charge me extra for that .
The pho is pretty decent with nice soup and meats. Only problem was that the vermicelli was sometimes sticking to each other as a clump. I would avoid the bubble tea, is not very good. Generally nice atmosphere service was okay.
Back to the basics with a side of lemongrass beef, steams vegetables and bean sprouts, simple yet packed with flavour and aroma! Great and efficient customer service with a clean and peaceful ambience. I paid a total of 13.50 for all three side orders (before tip)
if anyone wants pho soup. Lemon grass is the best place to go! Food was awesome and I was completely impressed with customer service! Highly recommended
Everything is delicious, and Server Claire was the best!
Awesome Vietnamese good
Excellent food
Sat in a spot with sun in eyes. But food is so good. Left very satisfied. Will be a returning customer. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available dishes.
Nothing about this place was good unfortunately... because I have been told by friends that its the best in town. Dont waste your time here, drive to Kelowna and go to bamboo chopsticks restaurant express! Food
Phokin delicious.
I tried calling several times to place an order they hung up on me twice. After ordering I got there and they tried to charge me for a different order. I got home and they gave me the wrong order. After calling them they said well do you want to just eat that. I said it s not what I ordered. They offered to give me free spring rolls next time. I use to love this place it s gone down hill!
Lemongrass is one of my favorite restaurants. I always get the lemongrass chicken and the gyoza (both incredibly delicious and fresh). The servers are all very kind and the food comes out quick. Takeout is always good as well. Would highly recommend!
The food in this restaurant is very good, but the service is not good and the service is very slow.
The best Pho shop that Ive been to in BC!
Chicken Pho with beef broth did not care for. Nice if they had chicken broth. Good service. Food
Service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, Pho only with beef and shrimp does not work with some allergies. Appreciate the effort to find alternatives though.
Food options are good. Price is reasonable Vegetarian options: Few good options for vegetarians, not a lot of selection. Food : 4/5 |
My friends and I have been regular customers here for over a year and unfortunately today was our last time coming here ever, again. A lady named Floridence was serving us, and she was so incredibly hostile. when we asked for extra limes she responded very abruptly and rudely and said fine I ll get some for you and then a minute later came back with only a quarter of a lime wedge and said it would cost 50 cents for that. When we politely questioned this new policy of charging for the smallest part of a lime, she shook her head and said oh sorry, I guess sarcastically and walked away. On top of this she didn t check on us throughout our meal or ask how the food was. The only other time she came up to us was when she was asking for payment I ve been going here for over a year and I ve never heard of this policy or seen this server. So unfortunate. My friends and I will never come back here. 100% recommend Doughnut King. Family owned local business with great customer service!!
Good effort but definitely not real pho, hardly Vietnamese. Bland and boring.
The service and food unfortunately marred my dining experience. The bun bo hue I was told Id be charged if I wanted the typical side of beansprouts. The soup also tasted like spicy water: It didnt have the body of pork and beef as described in the menu. When asked for more base broth to temper the spice level (and improve the taste), I was told that Id be charged. Basically I would have to pay to make my meal enjoyable. As a Viet who grew up in a pho restaurant, Im disappointed in the food and the service. Overpriced for the quality and quantity as well unfortunately .
Got delivery. Skimpy portions even for Kamloops standards. Not sure why the lemongrass chicken was shredded. They really tried to cover the plate by slicing the proteins as thin as possible. I dont get all the 5 star reviews here, its like theyve never eaten outside this city. To be balanced the lemongrass chicken tasted fine, the other dish was eh.
Pretty good
The food is amazing! The service is really good. Mango slush boba was delicious and refreshing. The Laksa and the Wor Won Ton soup were top notch.
Expensive! Don t be fooled the single $ accrediting! Low quality and just not worth what you pay for. This place is not even worth the one star! I patronized this place on July 30 at 6:30 pm. Party of 6. They can figure out who.
Beef fried rice noodles is good
Good food, pleasant service, well priced but they need to clean bathroom. For this i will never go back. I base the cleanes of bathroom to the kitchen.
Best Vietnamese I ve had in a long time. Delicious Beef Pho and rice vermicelli bowls.
Great food, portions a little small compared to others.
Food was great and the service was good too!
We just had Laksa soup at the Lemongrass restaurant. Oh my goodness, sooo yummy! Nice little spice, but mostly just very flavourful. The service was great as well. We will definitely be back again.
First time at lunch today! Food was amazing!!
Really good food :)
I got the rare beef pho with spicy broth add on. It took them over an hour for them to serve my soup but my parents got their food already so I was waiting 15 min for my dish to come. It wasnt very spicy at all even though I paid extra... the broth was flavorless. Wasnt worth the wait sadly.
Had the lemongrass tofu on vermicelli and the vegetarian salad roles and was
Very fresh and delicious. Carefully prepared with nice dish presentation. A bit pricey in comparison to other similar restaurants. Veggie Pho is not entirely vegetarian, as it is cooked in a beef broth. Yet the choice of a vegetarian salad roll was a nice surprise, as it came with tofu. Their regular salad roll, contains shrimp and pork; so not a dish for pescatarians. Servers were rather friendly and paid attention to detail, on whether we had any allergies or not. Busy and filled with patrons. We always had our water glasses filled. A lovely dining experience in the end.
Excellent food, and service. The bubble tea is great too.
Lots of gluten free stuff. Everything was awesome.
Very friendly staff. Food was okay, but nothing exceptional.
Family loved the food . Not my cup of tea. But hey cant win them all
Extremely friendly staff, likely family-run or if not, they give that feeling anyways. Pho broth was unique and good, and portions filling for the low price. We didn t enjoy the spring rolls (over cooked), but doesn t take away from the great overall experience. Would definitely go back
My son and i really enjoy going there, the service is fast and friendly ,maybey a little to fast almost like they are in a hurry to get u in and out and it shows. Besides that good portion size and quality is pretty good
Very good food It was extremely busy - Saturday evening Had to wait about 30 minutes between asking for the bill and getting the bill, kind of awkward...
The food is delicious but the service is terrible. The waiter took a long time to take the order, left suddenly during the ordering process, and served the wrong meal. Finally, we were served one less dish. Although I tipped, it was a very disappointing meal. Parking: relatively small
I love this place. Always tasty food with very friendly staff. I like they have a picture menu too to help decide what you want.
Great menu selection and lots of booth seating. The service is great. Really welcoming, fast and friendly. Its personal preference but I find the spices overpower the cinnamon in the Pho broth and noodles were overcooked. The rare roast beef is delicious and the portions are generous...I found the salad rolls choked with lettuce and again overpowered by spices. But a LOT of people have said they really like that. Its totally up to you. If you love cilantro.... It will be a hit. I say give Lemongrass a try and decide for yourself.
great food. terrible service. long wait time.
So delicious, and the iced coffee is amazing must have each time
Service was really slow. We had to wait 1hr for our food to be served when there aren t many customers. There were a group of Koreans beside us who came before us but food not here yet.
Hate to say but the service was really slow. Didn t meet the expectations.
Staff is always helpful, on the phone and in person. We order takeout, a nice alternative to pizza or Chinese food. Healthy, tasty and fresh.
I had the grilled lemongrass chicken it tasted liked it was defrosted from the microwave and threw on top of the flat grill for a few seconds meat was cold I would not eat this again
Bad food. Bad service. Server barely spoke or understood English. Absolutely disgusting. Everyone in my family left with a belly ache. Dont bother spending your money there.
Food is great, just wish they would have more vegitarian options. But i always order the Lemon Grass with Tofu and its amazing.
Pros: good amount of beef in the pho and i felt the meat it self was decent quality. Cons. No tripe or tendon available. Did not come with cilantro, and getting cilantro would be an extra dollar. Chili oil (which had zero spice, and was incredibly sweet) was an extra dollar for a tiny amount. Did not come with chili peppers. Broth was bland. Noodles were overcooked. Came back and tried the chicken curry as i felt maybe i went on a bad day. Honestly, it wasnt very good. Too sweet, yet bland at the same time and had very little substance to it for being $20.
Solid selection of soups and some Vietnamese favorites. Friendly service and never too much of a wait.
